Opus de Réquiem

Set in a fantasy take on our Renaissance age, Theah is a world of heroes and villains, war and peace, tragedy and love. Religious tensions are high, war entangles nations, mysterious fae beings weave impossible magics, and the nobility hoard sorcerous powers to accomplish their own ends.

An "Opus" is a work of art by a master composer. This opus starts simply, slowly, here in the busy streets of Charouse during the birthday celebration of L’Empereur Léon Alexandre du Montaigne XIV. It weaves its way through the passionate heart of a young Vodacce noble, on the run from a loveless marriage. It marches, staccato, through the arrival of an older Eisen noble, who has come to save his station and his family through political alliance. Allegro, it races through the streets beside a Castillian swordsman in search of an enemy to fight and a cause into which he can lose himself. It goes forte in the bombastic refrains of a Avalon satirist and pianissimo in the silent schemes of a Vodacce Courtesan with a plan that could become quite loud indeed.

But this Opus, like all great art, reveals as much of the performer as it does of its creator. What will it reveal for you?
