He does it all, wears all the hats.
We got Tim Brown on the line to be how you live in.
Speaker 2Hey.
Speaker 4Man, life is good, Football's coming up.
I can't even sieve anything done.
Speaker 3I'm excited for camp is finishing up for for pretty much all the colleges.
Speaker 2What do you recall?
Speaker 3What's uh, what's the what's what's trending right now within these camps?
Speaker 2What are they trying to do?
What are they trying to decide?
Do you think?
Speaker 4Well, I can tell you this just from my son's perspective.
They're exhausted.
They are ready for camp to be done.
Speaker 5You know it was with specifically Southern Utah at their their final screamas on Saturday, so I went down to Washington.
They guys are exhausted, they're loving camp.
But you know, man, at the end of camp, you're it's a grind and you're ready to be done.
And I know SEU finishes up Wednesday.
I think most most is going to be in that same range.
So really what's happening And I think ones are known by now.
Right now it's trying to figure out who's threes and here are gonna be those guys that are gonna be showing in those and you know you d yu, for example, quarterback ones is done.
But I don't think number two or three is right.
And so I think that's kind of what's happening over the next couple of days.
Speaker 2No doubt about it.
Speaker 3You got to figure out how to make that transition from beating each other up to beating somebody else up.
The Scout teams now gonna get a little bit of the business, if you know what I mean.
Big twelve Week ero is here, and I found it interesting that that the Big twelve is gonna feature two top twenty five teams, two of their marquee brands in Ireland for Week ero.
Ioways Stay versus Kansas State.
This is a big matchup.
This is a this is a monster matchup.
Now is it a good thing?
Net positive or net negative?
Do you think starting off the season like this for the Big twelve?
Speaker 5Well, I think it's a positive just because you're gonna get a lot of eyeballs on it.
I happen to have a very good friend of mine that's a big Kansas state alone.
Speaker 4He supports there in Il, he kind of does what I do.
But in Kansas and Manhattan, there and anyway, they're extoked.
They can't wait for it.
Speaker 5They're excited.
They think it's going to be fun.
So from their perspective, they love it.
I think as a Big Twelve fan, I think it's good.
You're gonna get a lot of eyebiles on Week Zero's good.
There's only a couple handful of games.
You know, you're going to have a few of those, and so everyone's going to be.
Speaker 4Watching because Robn Jones and for football, since you know Super Bowl.
Speaker 3The negative perspective is this Big Twelve cannibalism.
Speaker 2To start off, you're going to knock one of.
Speaker 3Your Big Twelve teams out of the top twenty five.
Speaker 2With a loss.
That's a possibility.
Well, and it does.
Speaker 4And I think you've got two really really good teams playing each other too.
Speaker 5So the good news is is I think the conference has got enough credibility, if you will, that a loss to each other is necessarily going to knock you out, but it will knock down a couple spots.
Now, look, you know you want to talk about it in two weeks from now, maybe the biggest opener in the in the history of college football.
Number one, number three playing.
You know, one of those is going to lose.
But how far are they going to really drop?
You know, I doubt very very far, maybe even a spot or two.
I mean, if Texas beez Ohio State, They're going to drop a spot.
So I don't know that it's that big a deal.
Speaker 3It seems as if BYU football to make a transition here is going to be trotting out a true freshman at quarterback and Bear Bachmeyer, the four star quarterback who was vying for time and maybe QB one position at Stanford before transferring to BYU after springball.
What should our expectations be as BYU fans, BYU media members, as far as the floor and the ceiling is concerned with a true freshman at the helm do thing?
Speaker 4Well, I think our expectations is a little bit lower.
Speaker 5You know, to me, if McKay would have been there, I think nine to ten wins is what I would have expect.
I think I probably expect now seven or eight.
You know, in my opinion, I think that's a game or two.
Anytime you try to choose freshmen, it's a game or two.
It just is that you're going to lose something.
Now, starting with Portland State makes me feel a little bit better.
Let them get an SS opponent to start with and to get his feet wet.
Speaker 2That certainly helps, no doubt about it.
Speaker 3RGS sixteers, Rgsixtiersutah dot Com.
Tim tell us a little bit about RGS six steers and why we should give you an opportunity our listener should give you an opportunity to earn your business.
Speaker 5Really, the biggest thing is is really we're here to take care of our customers.
Speaker 4So cliche and everybody says they're the best.
Everybody says they take care of their customers, and I'm not going to be any different.
Speaker 5I think the difference between us is really our actions speak louder than words.
We've been serving Utah for five generations.
Nobody can say close to that.
We have twelve hundred Google reviews, nobody can come close to that.
Twenty one Best to Stay awards, nobody has close to that.
So why do those things matter?
I think it just shows you that we truly do take care of our customers.
I think one thing we don't talk enough about in our industry is what happens to a customer when the mistakes made.
Speaker 4Because I'm going to tell you right now, we will make a mistake.
Speaker 5And anybody that says they will are lying to you, or that says that they won't, they're lying because it happens.
Speaker 4Mistakes happen in our industry.
Speaker 5The home improved industry is maybe the toughest industry in the world just because there's so many variables.
So what happens when that when a mistake happens, how does a contractor deal with it?
That's where we shine, and that's where we're going to send above everybody else is We're going to take care of your customers.
Speaker 4There are our customers.
Speaker 2Head on over to our G six tiers Utah dot com.
Speaker 3Let them know when you call that we sent you here from ESPN the Fan eight to one nine ninety seven sixty six one six.
That's eight to one nine ninety seven six six one six one last stat before we let you go here, Tim BYU depending on which poll you know, which analytic you want to pull up, is a borderline top twenty five team or a top twenty five team despite losing their arting quarterback in Jake Redslaw, I believe the FBI Power Rankings put BYU at twenty second in the country.
Obviously the eight people at b YU at twenty six, right out the top twenty five.
Where do you put BYU preseason?
What should they be ranked?
What's an accurate depiction of who this team is?
Speaker 4Well, look, they were a top ten team last year.
They've got a lot back.
Speaker 5They did lose a few Losing a quarterback is a big deal, but there's no way they drop outside in the top twenty five.
To me, if I had to do it and if I had to vote, I'd be a top twenty team right now, even with the freshman quarterback.
To me, we're definitely a top twenty.
Speaker 4But again we've talked about it on the show many times.
Preseason polls are worthless.
There's just way too much variability.
And you look at BYU schedule.
Speaker 5They've got a relatively soft schedule through four weeks, so really they should be three and ero, right and so you do that, they're going to be in the top fifteen probably by then.
Speaker 3My guy, Tim Brown, let him earn your business today.

Those for week one jitters are out of the way, and this week we've got a tough upun it.
We're heading to California to play something unknown and new staff and it's fun.
Look, high school football is just is still pure.
There's no nil, there's none of that.
