[SPEAKER_03]: It's been five years since the pandemic, a little over five years now.

[SPEAKER_03]: Wow, yeah.

[SPEAKER_03]: Isn't that crazy?

[SPEAKER_03]: No.

[SPEAKER_01]: It is like you soon too long.

[SPEAKER_01]: What would you want to know about?

[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, think about an entire, a whole college career has had like somebody fully got their bachelor's degree and they've been out for a year.

[SPEAKER_03]: Like, that's, well, it doesn't quite feel that long, but it has been, it's like, it's starting to be in the past.

[SPEAKER_03]: And then, you know, obviously what we're about to do today is kind of, it's just, it's very, it's a relic of that.

[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, this was made back then.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: I thought it was just trying to call save.

[SPEAKER_01]: Hold on, sir.

[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, if you thought it's a part of it now, if you thought it's a part of it now, how does that change your perception of Phil?

[SPEAKER_01]: It does not.

[SPEAKER_01]: It does.

[SPEAKER_01]: And it shouldn't.

[SPEAKER_03]: And it's really, it.

[SPEAKER_03]: But I mean, you know, people were like, well, we have to figure this out because what are we going to do?

[SPEAKER_03]: We would need to still make movies, but [SPEAKER_03]: you know there are so there are so many things that companies were trying to obviously animation became a big thing but animation for people who don't know famously takes a very long time to make and so if you realize within a lot a couple of years like man there's so many animated shows it's because they were all bitched five years ago because [SPEAKER_03]: Everyone was like, we don't know how long this pandemic is gonna go.

[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe it's gonna last, who knows?

[SPEAKER_03]: Years and years.

[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, there was a time where it was two weeks and then it became forever.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I remember that.

[SPEAKER_02]: I remember that.

[SPEAKER_02]: I remember that.

[SPEAKER_02]: I remember I had a friend who was like, because it happened in March, happened before my birthday.

[SPEAKER_02]: And he's like, man, we'll be stuck in a house until October.

[SPEAKER_02]: And I remember everyone at my job shunned this man so quickly.

[SPEAKER_02]: And like, what are you talking about?

[SPEAKER_02]: That makes no sense.

[SPEAKER_02]: Get behind me, Satan.

[SPEAKER_02]: Not only was it past October.

[SPEAKER_02]: It was like, yo, the world.

[SPEAKER_02]: It took like two years for it to pick up again.

[SPEAKER_03]: I was like, yo, I know we had our, you know, battle with the [SPEAKER_03]: of a first like because they've been warning about the pen remember on Netflix they had the pandemic.

[SPEAKER_03]: There was a documentary that was like and then the pandemic happened and that's why everybody called to the pandemic.

[SPEAKER_03]: We're not there.

[SPEAKER_03]: Not everybody.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_03]: There was the experience here.

[SPEAKER_03]: But yeah, you know, we we did battle.

[SPEAKER_03]: We and we won our war of the world.

[SPEAKER_02]: Twenty five.

[SPEAKER_02]: Why you do that, man?

[SPEAKER_02]: I felt like you shouldn't even be having fun.

[SPEAKER_02]: I don't even like it's just starting off this podcast with fun.

[SPEAKER_03]: Did we not win the war of the world?

[SPEAKER_03]: It was like, you know, the world of humans and hey, man, virus.

[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, man.

[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, man.

[SPEAKER_02]: I don't like that you're having fun and I just had to watch a movie.

[SPEAKER_02]: What ice cube.

[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_02]: As an NSA analyst.

[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know what could be more fun than that.

[SPEAKER_02]: It's gonna even let go of you.

[SPEAKER_02]: Worked for NASA.

[SPEAKER_02]: What, what is she doing at NASA?

[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know where she went.

[SPEAKER_03]: Works for, hey.

[SPEAKER_03]: We're not gonna get into this right now.

[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_02]: You have it to us, Joy.

[SPEAKER_02]: Why you got all this joy?

[SPEAKER_02]: I, because we did watch what I watched.

[SPEAKER_02]: Did you watch what I watched?

[SPEAKER_01]: This was like, I sent some negativity.

[SPEAKER_02]: No.

[SPEAKER_02]: I just want to make sure I know what process we're starting over.

[SPEAKER_03]: Let's see.

[SPEAKER_03]: When you win the war, the world's twenty twenty five.

[SPEAKER_03]: Alright, let's start the show.

[SPEAKER_03]: What can a black man can't jump in?

[SPEAKER_03]: Howly would?

[SPEAKER_03]: Howly was sitting?

[SPEAKER_03]: Move!

[SPEAKER_03]: Bitch!

[SPEAKER_03]: Get out the way!

[SPEAKER_03]: Do you remember that?

[SPEAKER_03]: How could you not?

[SPEAKER_03]: I knew.

[SPEAKER_03]: I was like, oh man, there are so many lines in this movie that I'm gonna quote.

[SPEAKER_03]: But when that happened, I was like, there it is.

[SPEAKER_03]: That's the one.

[SPEAKER_03]: That's the one.

[SPEAKER_01]: He said it just like that.

[SPEAKER_01]: I was watching it in my bed on the iPad and when he said that, just fell out the bed.

[SPEAKER_01]: What else can you do?

[SPEAKER_02]: I mean he said it just like that move bitch get out the way it was it was can we say great listen listen I don't want to get into it.

[SPEAKER_02]: I don't want to get into it.

[SPEAKER_02]: I don't want to get into it.

[SPEAKER_02]: I don't want to get into it.

[SPEAKER_02]: What did he what did the button to say at the beginning of the movie?

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no wait my favorite land was.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah, I want to do is check all people's Amazon cards.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, they want to buy on Amazon cards.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that was it became his catchphrase.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, this film is actually, I was in prime presents.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yo.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yo.

[SPEAKER_02]: This is it.

[SPEAKER_02]: That's right.

[SPEAKER_02]: I had to, I had to, I had to, I had to mess his brain as I was watching this.

[SPEAKER_02]: I think he, I was like, twenty minutes ahead of him.

[SPEAKER_02]: And I was like, Amen.

[SPEAKER_02]: I know we got to say this conversation for the podcast, but it's going to be a scene that is so preposterous.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_03]: Let's just catch everyone up.

[SPEAKER_03]: First of all, [SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to say this now because I'll maybe we'll do an official celebration at some point, but I just realize and this is also because I don't even know when this is coming out.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's going to be weeks after it's happened, officially happened.

[SPEAKER_03]: But we have, Kobe, we have officially been doing this for ten years.

[SPEAKER_03]: This podcast is a decade world.

[SPEAKER_03]: Wow, ten years.

[SPEAKER_03]: Who?

[SPEAKER_01]: Half decades with the pandemic.

[SPEAKER_01]: This is, no, this is the big step.

[SPEAKER_03]: This is a full decade.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's wild.

[SPEAKER_03]: So thank you everybody who has listened to this podcast, who has supported us over the years.

[SPEAKER_03]: That includes Kobe by the, for the, well, I guess we have to officially.

[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, okay.

[SPEAKER_03]: I'm getting ahead of myself.

[SPEAKER_03]: Let's [SPEAKER_03]: talk about what this is.

[SPEAKER_03]: This is a film review podcast.

[SPEAKER_03]: We do the films of leading black actors.

[SPEAKER_03]: We talk about them in the context of race and your diversity in Hollywood.

[SPEAKER_03]: There are three of us that usually host James has a kid.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_03]: So his availability sometimes is disrupted by that.

[SPEAKER_03]: But we have an incredible special guest with us here today.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh wait, you know, it's ten years.

[SPEAKER_02]: Let me see.

[SPEAKER_02]: I do a little bit less.

[SPEAKER_02]: Let's say to the classics.

[SPEAKER_02]: Let's say to the classics.

[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_02]: Let's say to the classics.

[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_02]: All right.

[SPEAKER_02]: All right.

[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_00]: All right.

[SPEAKER_01]: England.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, that was fake.

[SPEAKER_01]: I got offended.

[SPEAKER_01]: Wait, let me do the cool one.

[SPEAKER_01]: Let me do the cool one.

[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_01]: You're just a little better, a little better.

[SPEAKER_01]: No, it's actually maybe worse.

[SPEAKER_01]: Is it?

[SPEAKER_03]: I'm trying to think of his eyes.

[SPEAKER_02]: I'm trying to think of his eyes.

[SPEAKER_02]: I'm trying to think of his eyes.

[SPEAKER_02]: I'm trying to think of his eyes.

[SPEAKER_02]: I'm trying to think of his eyes.

[SPEAKER_02]: I'm trying to think of his eyes.

[SPEAKER_02]: I'm trying to think of his eyes.

[SPEAKER_02]: I'm trying to think of his eyes.

[SPEAKER_03]: I'm trying to think of his eyes.

[SPEAKER_03]: I'm trying to think of his eyes.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm trying to think of his eyes.

[SPEAKER_02]: I'm trying to think of his eyes.

[UNKNOWN]: I [SPEAKER_03]: He's holy.

[SPEAKER_03]: Kobe is an incredible producer and podcast there himself.

[SPEAKER_03]: You could check out his podcast.

[SPEAKER_03]: Flicks watcher as well as the wired, the wired stripped the wire stripped.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, you know, they've done four seasons.

[SPEAKER_03]: You're about to do season five if if people of enough people [SPEAKER_03]: just chant it out.

[SPEAKER_01]: You guys will get it done.

[SPEAKER_01]: We get enough people telling us every day we need to season five and basically we started pre-pandemic pre-kids and then we all live in London together and now we all gone to different parts of the country.

[SPEAKER_01]: So we want to do it in person and that just logistically is hard when you got five children.

[SPEAKER_01]: Five new, five new people to careful as well as talk by the way.

[SPEAKER_03]: This stuff, but I believe in you.

[SPEAKER_03]: I believe you will.

[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you.

[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you.

[SPEAKER_03]: We all did a close podcast back in twenty nineteen I believe when we got to very fortunately go to the London podcast festival this was before the world.

[SPEAKER_03]: I mean that that was it.

[SPEAKER_03]: I mean that kind of was.

[SPEAKER_03]: That was the end.

[SPEAKER_03]: That was the end.

[SPEAKER_02]: It was really us.

[SPEAKER_02]: We never knew how good we had.

[SPEAKER_03]: We really did it.

[SPEAKER_03]: We did it.

[SPEAKER_03]: No, it was that I remember that show was so fun.

[SPEAKER_03]: We talked about I believe we talked about last year.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, Star was the last Jedi because we realized we had been swindled.

[SPEAKER_03]: We we had all this hope in John Bliegg is character in the Force Awakens.

[SPEAKER_03]: And then this thing kind of happened at the end where they [SPEAKER_03]: The way that they edited the trailer, it made it seem like maybe he was a Jedi.

[SPEAKER_03]: And then we realized at the end of course, we could see wasn't, but it was still like, okay, but he's like, the main love interest and all this stuff.

[SPEAKER_03]: And the last Jedi happened and they were like, actually, no, we don't care about this guy anymore.

[SPEAKER_03]: We're gonna stick them in this other plot.

[SPEAKER_03]: That's away from the main action.

[SPEAKER_03]: And then I mean, the rise of Skywalker happened and it was just like, they were just like, why is he this guy even here, actually?

[SPEAKER_02]: The little they cared about that man, I will never get over it.

[SPEAKER_03]: Also, also, we were at, I believe, because we were at the height of, we didn't know it at the time, but we were at the height of diversity and people caring about inclusion and, at least, when the first one, when that film came out, you mean?

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but also, in nineteen itself, I think we were like, we were like, it was like, we didn't realize the dip was about it.

[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, like, obviously, you know, Trump was just, but then like, we had this whole, well, I guess, you know what, never mind.

[SPEAKER_03]: We had a little, twenty, twenty, we had a little thing.

[SPEAKER_03]: That's right.

[SPEAKER_03]: We had a little boost there and then it, then the collapse.

[SPEAKER_02]: But it was such a rebellion against Trump.

[SPEAKER_02]: It was like, didn't people had fight in a fight?

[SPEAKER_02]: No, I think it was just like, oh, [SPEAKER_02]: Then they got to call him.

[SPEAKER_03]: And now he's back and they're just everybody's like, well, you know, this what it is.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_03]: Anywho, this is not a political podcast.

[SPEAKER_03]: That's why we're here today.

[SPEAKER_03]: We're here to talk about.

[SPEAKER_03]: a delightful film.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's award the world's twenty twenty five because as you may know, this is a famous book, sci-fi book by H.

E.

Wells.

[SPEAKER_03]: And there was a famous radio play that they did.

[SPEAKER_03]: I believe it also well, also well, it's also well as narrated and they also is actually real.

[SPEAKER_03]: The book came out in eighteen ninety eight.

[SPEAKER_03]: HG Wells English writer.

[SPEAKER_03]: The radio play was in nineteen thirty eight actually people thought it was real because they just how realistically we're doing it and also like that was the form of media and so.

[SPEAKER_03]: Fast forward, by the way, to the pandemic.

[SPEAKER_03]: That's when they planned out this film that stars ice cube and the director, Rich Lee.

[SPEAKER_03]: Wait, now is this the same?

[SPEAKER_03]: Because somebody I know on this production also worked on like searching like they're big for [SPEAKER_02]: It feels like this feels like it's supposed to be like searching.

[SPEAKER_02]: Like that is [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it was the producer of searching.

[SPEAKER_03]: He's done a few of these.

[SPEAKER_03]: He calls them a specific thing.

[SPEAKER_03]: Dream life.

[SPEAKER_03]: Stream life, thank you.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_03]: So the idea was like, hey, we're going to do this take on war of the world because like in the radio play, when people were like, oh, this is kind of the means.

[SPEAKER_03]: source of communication that they would have had back then right like and that's how everybody would have gotten the updates like now it's like it would be the stream life like people would be getting updates from their videos and their phones and so like the idea was like this will kind of mirror that which is not a bad idea like if you hear that in a pitch you'd be like yeah that makes sense and obviously [SPEAKER_03]: pandemic times are like we'll shoot this and the actors can kind of be by themselves.

[SPEAKER_03]: We'll give them the equipment.

[SPEAKER_03]: They can do their own thing.

[SPEAKER_03]: And so that was kind of the idea of it.

[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know why I can't find out why it took so long for them to release this because there's no way it wasn't thin like I mean like right like it's not like they were taking it.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's not like they were like, well, the graphics department.

[SPEAKER_03]: They really need some extra time.

[SPEAKER_02]: When did Amazon air come out because maybe they're waiting for Amazon air to launch?

[SPEAKER_03]: That's crazy.

[SPEAKER_03]: Um, I hope that's not true.

[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, I have no idea.

[SPEAKER_03]: I feel like they've been trying to do Amazon Air for such a long time.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_03]: This ain't it.

[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, because this was filmed.

[SPEAKER_03]: This was conceived of in the pandemic and filmed shortly like not too long after they like bought the rights or whatever.

[SPEAKER_03]: It was in principle photography took place in late, twenty twenty let's September, twenty twenty.

[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, wow.

[SPEAKER_03]: I think it's written that it was written in that what to it when those well in this whole it was right and it was like I think it was pitched at the top of the year Yeah, and then written within the those couple months and then they filmed it because they were like this is pretty simple and all of this the quickness of it all of that tracks when you watch the film [SPEAKER_03]: And so the reason we're doing it today is, I mean, several reasons.

[SPEAKER_03]: This movie came out.

[SPEAKER_03]: And it became.

[SPEAKER_03]: And now I don't, well, anyway, it was the number one movie, number one viewed movie on the screen.

[SPEAKER_02]: It still is.

[SPEAKER_03]: It has an up and surpassed by the time.

[SPEAKER_02]: I watched it last night.

[SPEAKER_02]: I watched it last night.

[SPEAKER_03]: No, it.

[SPEAKER_03]: Well, okay.

[SPEAKER_03]: Well, when I saw it, it said number five.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, what?

[SPEAKER_02]: It was a number.

[SPEAKER_02]: I check a little more computer right now.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, because the pickup, the, the Eddie Murphy movie had come out.

[SPEAKER_03]: That was the number.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's why I was shocked because when I was watching it, the pickup was number two.

[SPEAKER_03]: Well, it's interesting.

[SPEAKER_03]: I wonder, I wonder, do we just get different numbers?

[SPEAKER_03]: See, this is the other thing about these streaming services?

[SPEAKER_03]: I think people got different numbers.

[SPEAKER_03]: Which I can't, you can't trust them.

[SPEAKER_03]: You can't trust them.

[SPEAKER_02]: Well, like for instance, right now, my is is this movie's number two.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, God thing, I'm going to go.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, this is number two.

[SPEAKER_02]: Wow.

[SPEAKER_02]: Sorry, number one.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no, it's now number three now.

[SPEAKER_02]: All right, now I'm going down the number three.

[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.

[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah, on mine, it was like, [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, no, it might have been number three.

[SPEAKER_03]: Sorry.

[SPEAKER_03]: No, it was number five for all platforms in terms of total minutes viewed.

[SPEAKER_03]: Number number one was like happy Gilbourer.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, God, I got to get it.

[SPEAKER_03]: It was number five in terms of all, you know, since whatever this came out July, thirty of we are recording this August, ten.

[SPEAKER_03]: This probably won't come out for a few weeks.

[SPEAKER_03]: But you have no doubt of heard about it, even if you haven't seen it because it was famously one of the few movies that got as a year percent on Rotten Tomatoes.

[SPEAKER_03]: Now that said, it's since gotten a boost.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yep.

[SPEAKER_03]: We are up to a little bit.

[SPEAKER_03]: Four percent on top of tomatoes.

[SPEAKER_03]: Congrats guys.

[SPEAKER_03]: Well done.

[SPEAKER_03]: Well done everyone.

[SPEAKER_03]: Twenty-two percent audience score or popcorn meter as they now call it.

[SPEAKER_03]: And we have no idea how much is foam costs to make.

[SPEAKER_03]: You know, just kind of doing my own analysis and we've been doing this for ten years now.

[SPEAKER_03]: I kind of look at it and I think it costs I would about thirteen dollars.

[SPEAKER_02]: They got some special effects.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and a free subscription to Amazon Prime for a year.

[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, man.

[SPEAKER_03]: There's no box office because it came on Amazon Prime.

[SPEAKER_03]: Right.

[SPEAKER_03]: And that's it.

[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_03]: So sorry.

[SPEAKER_03]: That was a long spiel.

[SPEAKER_03]: We can now get into war of the world's twenty twenty five Kobe.

[SPEAKER_03]: You are special guest today.

[SPEAKER_03]: Please kick us off with your initial thoughts of this film.

[SPEAKER_01]: So, just to clarify this film, it's official title is, Amazon presents War of the World's Twenty.

[SPEAKER_02]: Wait, is that real?

[SPEAKER_02]: Is that Amazon opposite?

[SPEAKER_00]: No, it's not.

[SPEAKER_01]: I might say, oh my god.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm in a few WhatsApp groups.

[SPEAKER_01]: I was never planning to watch this film, but everyone said I should watch this film.

[SPEAKER_01]: And I'd relented, like, you guys did, who'd just like, okay, let's just watch this film.

[SPEAKER_01]: And, like, it's [SPEAKER_01]: It's not great, but I'm not mad at it.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not mad at it in any way, shape of form.

[SPEAKER_01]: This is a kind of film like, like Batman and Robin, the room, showgirls, way could just enjoy, enjoy luxury in the table.

[SPEAKER_01]: And the thing I tend most against this film is the fact you have to actually watch him typing stuff, have to read stuff.

[SPEAKER_03]: to be in the beginning of this film.

[SPEAKER_03]: I was like, do they expect us to read all of the things that we're seeing here?

[SPEAKER_03]: This is it.

[SPEAKER_01]: But this film is wild.

[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not mad at Ice Cube because he sat, he sat, directs himself to a script which is terribly, which is terrible.

[SPEAKER_01]: But I guess you can't blame him for that.

[SPEAKER_01]: But some of the plot points [SPEAKER_01]: Data is their food is in the trailer.

[SPEAKER_01]: And at that point when that person in the trailer.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's in the trailer.

[SPEAKER_01]: I've just seen a trailer.

[SPEAKER_01]: I haven't seen a trailer until just before Rick this recording.

[SPEAKER_01]: But when when they said, oh, this is it.

[SPEAKER_01]: They eat data for food.

[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, what does that mean?

[SPEAKER_01]: What does it mean?

[SPEAKER_01]: What does it mean?

[SPEAKER_01]: What does it mean?

[SPEAKER_01]: What does it mean?

[SPEAKER_01]: What does it mean?

[SPEAKER_01]: What does it mean?

[SPEAKER_01]: Other parts look.

[SPEAKER_01]: His son is in on the plot to destroy America is his wife dead and he keeps him referring about to the spin message that she's left.

[SPEAKER_01]: His daughter is a super genius about to give birth any second and has the ability to be able to create a virus that both destroy organisms and machines.

[SPEAKER_01]: And why not?

[SPEAKER_01]: Look, it's a matter.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's a matter.

[SPEAKER_01]: I had a great time in this film.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's a terrible film.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm gonna watch it again.

[SPEAKER_01]: I wish I could watch this in the audience with other people.

[SPEAKER_01]: This is where I would get lots of energy from this film.

[SPEAKER_01]: There are so many lines in here.

[SPEAKER_01]: Like you said, the move bitch, get out of the way.

[SPEAKER_01]: Like I said, I just fell out of my bed.

[SPEAKER_01]: When that line came out, I, look, we can have bad films.

[SPEAKER_01]: We can have bad films are fun.

[SPEAKER_01]: The worst films are like you, you suicide squad, where it's just, why is this film being made?

[SPEAKER_01]: What's happened here?

[SPEAKER_01]: This is a fun film to watch.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's a terrible film to watch, but I had a lot from watching this and I was looking forward to talking to you guys about it.

[SPEAKER_03]: All right.

[SPEAKER_01]: That was great.

[SPEAKER_03]: That was great.

[SPEAKER_03]: Do you want me?

[SPEAKER_03]: I can go.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's a fine line.

[SPEAKER_03]: I will say it's always a fine line between a movie that's just bad and it hurts your soul and it's unwatchable and it's like this is just bad and a movie that's so bad that it is good.

[SPEAKER_03]: Like you have like [SPEAKER_03]: And I believe the last film we reviewed that was so bad that it did wind up being good was madam web.

[SPEAKER_03]: Madam web is is terrible.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's awful, but it's like so bad.

[SPEAKER_03]: You're just like it's laugh.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's just so laughably bad that you can have you can start to have fun with it because it's.

[SPEAKER_03]: I don't even know what it is.

[SPEAKER_03]: There is a special sauce because sometimes movies are just bad and I hate them and I don't want to watch them.

[SPEAKER_03]: You just want to turn them off.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_03]: You know what?

[SPEAKER_03]: This movie is so bad.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's good.

[SPEAKER_03]: It is.

[SPEAKER_03]: It is.

[SPEAKER_03]: It is like because what's the thing that's the craziest thing about this is that I actually think like if I heard this pitch for this film, I would think like yeah, the sets like this could be a good and actual good movie.

[SPEAKER_03]: And maybe that's part of what it survives.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's also ice cube like [SPEAKER_03]: You know what you get, you know, when you get ice cube and he is a fantastic at delivering like what you need from him and want from him and makes, you know, movies like, twenty one, jump street so great and like, you know, him and like, three can fight in three kings.

[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, yeah, obviously the classics like, but I'm just saying like the like the ice cube you have now like, you know, you can get him and like he's fun like, [SPEAKER_03]: And a movie like this, it's like, it doesn't, it doesn't actually make sense to me.

[SPEAKER_03]: Why they, why they, this was a vehicle for him like on script.

[SPEAKER_03]: You were just like, no, you need somebody like the reason searching is like a really.

[SPEAKER_03]: Good movie is because I believe it was like John Cho just has those acting chops like and you need somebody with like serious acting chops to like really be that and not to say that ice cube can act it's just like it's it's a very specific thing but at the same time if it wasn't ice cube then it actually wouldn't be so bad it was good it would just be bad you know what I mean like [SPEAKER_03]: because the way that he delivers stuff is so, he is so committed to doing what he, what he does.

[SPEAKER_03]: And even though it's like, you're just like, this doesn't make sense.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's fun.

[SPEAKER_03]: Like him saying move pitch cut out the way is fun because it's ice cube.

[SPEAKER_03]: You know, like he's like watching stuff and just going like damn, and you're just like, what?

[SPEAKER_03]: like you're just like him just being like this is what's happening and you're just like sure he kind of it's it's it's so weird.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's both a performance that I assume will get and maybe even win a Razi, but like it also is like the reason that this film is watchable and fun and people can celebrate it.

[SPEAKER_01]: One hundred percent you know.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, there's all this other stuff we'll get to that.

[SPEAKER_03]: I just that's what I just wanted to talk about ice cube.

[SPEAKER_02]: That makes sense.

[SPEAKER_02]: Um, I just want to say some of the, some of the, the review, some headlines.

[SPEAKER_02]: Sure.

[SPEAKER_02]: Bray, Bray, Braylock mentioned that, you know, one of the reasons we did this movie was talked about everywhere.

[SPEAKER_02]: So far, people who have reviewed this movie is Minge Journal, the New York Post, Buzzfeed is back.

[SPEAKER_02]: The BBC says is, well, the world's starting ice keep really one of the worst movies of the decade.

[SPEAKER_02]: Good question.

[SPEAKER_02]: uh...

shockingly bad wall of the world's one of the worst moves of the decade by uh...

the new repose and you know after watching this movie for how long was it an hour and thirty minutes right i think [SPEAKER_02]: This may be one of the best movies ever made.

[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_02]: All right.

[SPEAKER_02]: All right.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no.

[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, no.

[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, no.

[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, no.

[SPEAKER_03]: Oh [SPEAKER_02]: There is a scene early in this movie because I didn't realize this was a movie because I've seen because I have seen some of the searching movies like I like the John John John when I like the storm read when I saw it on a plane is like her.

[SPEAKER_02]: Her mom gets taken and I was like and this really is her and Neil long.

[SPEAKER_02]: It's like really good.

[SPEAKER_02]: Um, so I was like, you know what the idea of this on paper like you said makes sense is like, Oh, [SPEAKER_02]: Aliens want data.

[SPEAKER_02]: What do we do now?

[SPEAKER_02]: A bunch of data.

[SPEAKER_02]: We have security issues.

[SPEAKER_02]: It makes sense.

[SPEAKER_02]: I knew I was on board with this movie or early on when the first, I guess, Aliens land is posted like rumble and shake the world.

[SPEAKER_02]: For some reason, ice cube grabs a coffee cup right when they're coming down.

[SPEAKER_02]: He grabs a coffee cup and then they hit the ground and then he basically starts shaking.

[SPEAKER_02]: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh my god, and it's clearly just him.

[SPEAKER_02]: And I like y'all, this man is working bro.

[SPEAKER_02]: Like this man.

[SPEAKER_02]: Like I won't point.

[SPEAKER_02]: He's like, oh no, oh this is daughter's name.

[SPEAKER_02]: He's yellow boy's daughter.

[SPEAKER_02]: No, and he just gets up and just walks to the back of the room.

[SPEAKER_02]: Faith.

[SPEAKER_02]: Faith.

[SPEAKER_02]: And he just walks to the back of the guy.

[SPEAKER_02]: You put a get your ass over it.

[SPEAKER_02]: Listen man, he was doing the bro.

[SPEAKER_02]: He was doing it.

[SPEAKER_02]: You know what?

[SPEAKER_02]: Look.

[SPEAKER_02]: I thought this movie was so entertaining.

[SPEAKER_02]: I thought the special effects was whatever.

[SPEAKER_02]: I thought like this was the biggest piece of like commercial ever.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's actually a nice way to describe the special effects of this film.

[SPEAKER_02]: Don't know why that happens, especially because this is Amazon.

[SPEAKER_02]: This was the biggest propaganda film I've ever seen in my life.

[SPEAKER_02]: At one point, they were like, oh my God, he's like, you need to get a thumb drive.

[SPEAKER_02]: He's like, we can't have thumb drive and his buildings are locked.

[SPEAKER_02]: I'm about, I can get you one.

[SPEAKER_02]: How you don't get it over here?

[SPEAKER_02]: with Amazon air.

[SPEAKER_02]: I've been working on this.

[SPEAKER_02]: I don't work on what's trading on this for three months.

[SPEAKER_02]: And then he's like what you got to order something first.

[SPEAKER_02]: And he goes on the screen.

[SPEAKER_01]: This is wild.

[SPEAKER_01]: This is wild.

[SPEAKER_02]: And then on the screen, it says Amazon air ordered.

[SPEAKER_02]: And then when the fucking robot, the drone gets to, okay, I'm sorry.

[SPEAKER_02]: I was going to say it's a part of the beginning.

[SPEAKER_02]: I'm so on board.

[SPEAKER_02]: This movie is so bad.

[SPEAKER_02]: They're like, hey, man, get him in a free internet.

[SPEAKER_02]: He don't want to free internet.

[SPEAKER_02]: The move over the drone.

[SPEAKER_02]: Give him a thousand dollars.

[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to give him a thousand dollars.

[SPEAKER_02]: automatically does it.

[SPEAKER_02]: And then I don't know if you have noticed when the freaking thumb drive gets delivered, they cut to a screen that says Amazon air delivered.

[SPEAKER_02]: It was a guy's.

[SPEAKER_02]: This is this is crazy.

[SPEAKER_02]: I'm here for man.

[SPEAKER_03]: I think I think I'll see where we're watching it on Amazon Prime.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.

[SPEAKER_02]: You're already here.

[SPEAKER_02]: Also, we've seen so many worse movies.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, this is the thing.

[SPEAKER_02]: Like, like, there's so many bad machines.

[SPEAKER_02]: Sure.

[SPEAKER_02]: This is bad.

[SPEAKER_02]: Don't get me wrong.

[SPEAKER_03]: This is like, this is pretty bad.

[SPEAKER_02]: To me, like, um, like, I'll be say it like, if you told me Tarantino's theater had a midnight screen where like, you could drink in like, and they should, you know, throw Amazon stuff at the other, the, the, the Amazon receipts.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yep.

[SPEAKER_01]: Screen.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.

[SPEAKER_02]: You know, like, take a shot every time someone says the word Amazon.

[SPEAKER_02]: Or you see the boyfriend of the fiance.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, sure you'd be wasted.

[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, I think it's great.

[SPEAKER_02]: These people are wrong.

[SPEAKER_02]: This movie deserves a sixty two percent.

[SPEAKER_02]: All right, tomatoes.

[SPEAKER_03]: No, no, no.

[SPEAKER_02]: Sixty-two.

[SPEAKER_03]: No, I mean, part of the charm is that it is a, it is like four percent as hilarious.

[SPEAKER_03]: I actually, it was come from.

[SPEAKER_03]: That's just like I said it's funnier than zero because it's just like, what is it?

[SPEAKER_03]: What?

[SPEAKER_03]: Four percent?

[SPEAKER_03]: Like, I think that's so funny.

[SPEAKER_03]: You're right.

[SPEAKER_03]: There have been worst movies made, but I will say, [SPEAKER_03]: So one of the things that it does alert my soul a little bit about this film is that it's Amazon Prime thing.

[SPEAKER_03]: So it's so many people have streamed it.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's it.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's weird because on the one hand, yes, I do think ice cube is like because he gives things a hundred percent.

[SPEAKER_03]: But like it also feels like it like any of us could have made.

[SPEAKER_03]: Not just any of us.

[SPEAKER_03]: Like anybody could have made this, you know?

[SPEAKER_03]: Like it is so.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's like if this, if you removed any star power from this and not because of the way they're acting, like if they were able to, if you were able to just put in people, same performances, you just didn't know who these people were and like put this in a film festival, people would be like, how did this get in the film festival?

[SPEAKER_03]: You know, and I don't mean like if you put this in Sundance.

[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, if you went to, you know, Milwaukee's film festival, people in Milwaukee would be like, I'm so sorry.

[SPEAKER_03]: Why did this get him?

[SPEAKER_03]: Like it is that bad and yet here we are about to celebrate it.

[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, okay.

[SPEAKER_02]: See, you say that bad.

[SPEAKER_02]: I say pretty good.

[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I'm like, I'm trying to think of movies that I watch.

[SPEAKER_02]: I'd watch this movie before I watched.

[SPEAKER_02]: I'm gonna go down to the list because I didn't make a list because I was like, you know what?

[SPEAKER_02]: People are just being rude because it's ice cube.

[SPEAKER_02]: I'd watched this movie before I watch, I'm hitting figures again.

[SPEAKER_02]: What?

[SPEAKER_02]: I was watched this movie.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.

[SPEAKER_02]: I watched this movie before I watched the help.

[SPEAKER_02]: I'd watched this movie before I watched the watch drive in Miss Daisy.

[SPEAKER_02]: I'd watched this movie before I watched.

[SPEAKER_02]: Dangerous months.

[SPEAKER_02]: I'll watch this movie before watch Green Bull.

[SPEAKER_03]: This is because I feel like you're and you're feeling towards them.

[SPEAKER_02]: No, break.

[SPEAKER_02]: I think there are much.

[SPEAKER_02]: I think the actors and those movies are great.

[SPEAKER_02]: But I think ice cube saying move bitch get out the way.

[SPEAKER_02]: It's better than any line.

[SPEAKER_02]: You would hear me.

[SPEAKER_02]: Sorry.

[SPEAKER_03]: All right.

[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm just okay.

[SPEAKER_03]: So this movie begins like we said with a bunch of, there's, yeah, Ice Cube is an NSA agent who is doing surveillance and he's like, I don't know, he's doing his morning surveillance of checking the threat level of different government buildings.

[SPEAKER_03]: The computer's telling him like threat level medium.

[SPEAKER_03]: We don't ever know what any of this actually means.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's just whatever.

[SPEAKER_03]: And so all these screens are coming up and these words are coming up and you know, good for you.

[SPEAKER_03]: If you can read everything that's being seen on it and let very quickly we get into the fact that this guy has two kids and he is spying on his kids in a way that is truly like [SPEAKER_01]: When he breaks into his son's computer and deletes his game whilst he's playing the game, what's the limit of the password?

[SPEAKER_01]: I think a lot of this film is impossible.

[SPEAKER_01]: That's what makes it.

[SPEAKER_01]: Data is no one's food.

[SPEAKER_01]: It can be.

[SPEAKER_02]: Also at one point he's just checking his daughters like the fridge like heartbeat like a heartbeat again didn't he?

[SPEAKER_02]: I was like wait.

[SPEAKER_03]: He got so so he fought so we think so he's looking at different people because like there's a there's some person called disruptor and they have this little shadowy icon That's for him and apparently disruptor is a [SPEAKER_03]: has is this huge hacker who's been hacking into government systems and is threatening to release a bunch of information exposing the government's program called Goliath which is this world which is this like [SPEAKER_03]: even greater surveillance.

[SPEAKER_03]: So this is the thing that I truly did not understand what they were trying to convey to us because he was, we're watching a man abuse surveillance like you've never seen before in a way that is so invasive and so powerful and [SPEAKER_03]: all consuming.

[SPEAKER_03]: And then we're told like, there's a program that's even bigger than this.

[SPEAKER_03]: And it's just like, well, what is that even?

[SPEAKER_03]: He's hacking into everything.

[SPEAKER_03]: And like, anyway, we'll say that for later, because when he gets into like not believing his son, I was just like, I don't even like, you are, like, isn't this gonna lie?

[SPEAKER_03]: I thought this was gonna lie.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's like, you're hacking into literally everything that exists.

[SPEAKER_03]: You're hacking into fridges, cars, like, [SPEAKER_03]: the surveillance footage of not just outside, but like within, within like businesses, private businesses, you're hacking into people's phones or laptops.

[SPEAKER_01]: He's talking his daughter's heartbeat.

[SPEAKER_01]: He's like, be able to track that.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, it's just like, okay, so.

[SPEAKER_03]: Anyway, so that's that.

[SPEAKER_03]: We'll move put that aside.

[SPEAKER_03]: So he's trying to find this guy who's trying to expose the government, which I who assumed was the government agent because, you know, you figure, oh, yeah.

[SPEAKER_03]: This is a whistleblower who's talking about their surveillance program.

[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_02]: The moment the moment the sunset, I got to talk to you.

[SPEAKER_02]: I was like, this is the sun.

[SPEAKER_02]: Sure.

[SPEAKER_03]: And there's only, well, here's a, here's the sun.

[SPEAKER_02]: Like five characters in this movie.

[SPEAKER_03]: I didn't, and that's true.

[SPEAKER_03]: I, and maybe this is actually, [SPEAKER_03]: with the movie wasn't intending.

[SPEAKER_03]: I thought that this whole him trying to find disruptor.

[SPEAKER_03]: I did not think it was coming back because I thought this was just like a small little thing to get into.

[SPEAKER_03]: Because the world of the world, I was like, what's that happens?

[SPEAKER_03]: You're not going to care about who this hacker is.

[SPEAKER_03]: Like, that's over.

[SPEAKER_03]: The world has changed now.

[SPEAKER_03]: There's a bunch of aliens tracked to the story earth.

[SPEAKER_03]: Who cares about who is trying to hack, blah, blah.

[SPEAKER_03]: I was wrong.

[SPEAKER_03]: That was very wrong.

[SPEAKER_03]: So good on the movie for chicken meat.

[SPEAKER_03]: Anyway, this stuff with his daughter, like, are we supposed to like this guy?

[SPEAKER_02]: So creepy.

[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I'm like?

[SPEAKER_02]: What is happening, you know?

[SPEAKER_02]: I'm like, I struck it with it because he was just so weird.

[SPEAKER_02]: And then it didn't make it.

[SPEAKER_02]: They never gave us a reason why he was so weird.

[SPEAKER_02]: It was like, yeah, I guess you're your wife that [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, because the white bat, he's supposed to be extremely overly protective, but also like Loki, a gorephobic.

[SPEAKER_02]: Is that, is that what he, is that this deal?

[SPEAKER_03]: The goreful.

[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I missed the agoraphobia stuff, but I.

She just kept saying you never want to leave.

[SPEAKER_01]: You never want to leave.

[SPEAKER_01]: I just got into this.

[SPEAKER_01]: I thought she's like two, I thought he's like too much into his work that he was like that.

[SPEAKER_01]: Who's his name?

[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_01]: But at the same time, he knew that from his office that he couldn't escape from.

[SPEAKER_01]: Dude, dude.

[SPEAKER_01]: He can spy on everything.

[SPEAKER_02]: I won't point.

[SPEAKER_02]: He was like, Faith, I'm coming.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, it got me locked.

[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, and this moment is particularly funny because, uh, anybody who I see, oh, obviously we're, I always forget to tell.

[SPEAKER_03]: We've been doing this for ten years and we've never heard of this movie ever tell people we're going to spoil a film.

[SPEAKER_01]: They've already seen it.

[SPEAKER_02]: They've already seen it.

[SPEAKER_03]: Everybody has seen it.

[SPEAKER_03]: And as you know, we never see another person in this entire NSA building, which that has to be the most unrealistic, I mean, of all the unrealistic.

[SPEAKER_01]: No, this glass, this glass window, which takes the whole length of his room, no one walks past to any time to say, have you seen?

[SPEAKER_01]: Are we a little outside?

[SPEAKER_01]: Never.

[SPEAKER_01]: No one knocks on his door.

[SPEAKER_03]: And by the way, at a certain point in the film, he becomes, he gets his, you know, clearance stripped and he becomes like a threat.

[SPEAKER_03]: And the idea that not a single government agent is coming to check on this man is so funny.

[SPEAKER_03]: Anyway, it's just, he runs through the building.

[SPEAKER_02]: Correct.

[SPEAKER_02]: He runs through the building and no one's in the building.

[SPEAKER_02]: Where's that flash drive?

[SPEAKER_02]: It's coming.

[SPEAKER_02]: Bro, that flash drive bit was great.

[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sorry.

[SPEAKER_03]: I do get upset sometimes when I think about this because I'm like, well, what if we made something like that?

[SPEAKER_03]: But then nobody would care.

[SPEAKER_02]: We'd have to get somebody really good.

[SPEAKER_02]: And but isn't my thing is it good enough to have a movie notoriously?

[SPEAKER_02]: I guess it is.

[SPEAKER_02]: We're talking about it.

[SPEAKER_02]: We're reviewing it.

[SPEAKER_02]: Like it's so bad that we're talking about it.

[SPEAKER_02]: Right.

[SPEAKER_02]: So I guess that's so I guess that's good.

[SPEAKER_03]: Well, here's the thing too.

[SPEAKER_03]: We've talked like a lot of people have talked about how [SPEAKER_03]: the death of stars like star powers dead, but like this is the cut one of these things that's like, well, if ice cube wasn't in this right, like nobody would be talking about it.

[SPEAKER_03]: And so it would just be like some made for TV movie that nobody saw, but ice cubes in it.

[SPEAKER_03]: So it gives it like some sense of legitimacy and then that then people are like, well, it's really bad, but now we talk about that because of it.

[SPEAKER_03]: Because stuff like bad stuff like this is made all the time.

[SPEAKER_03]: That's the thing.

[SPEAKER_03]: But like, why do we get anyway?

[SPEAKER_03]: It's very interesting.

[SPEAKER_03]: Man, paradise.

[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.

[SPEAKER_03]: So, okay.

[SPEAKER_02]: Also, it takes a while for the war of the world.

[SPEAKER_03]: It does.

[SPEAKER_03]: So he's doing that.

[SPEAKER_03]: He's tracking his daughter, then he's deleting his son's video game, telling him, like, stop playing video games, like, you know, he's like, why don't you get a real job?

[SPEAKER_03]: And he's like, this is my job.

[SPEAKER_03]: And he's like, you should have got this job, whatever, at a say, FBI, or whatever, he's trying to get a government job.

[SPEAKER_03]: He's like, I'm not doing that.

[SPEAKER_03]: Then we get to, he's also, for some reason, leading a mission.

[SPEAKER_03]: Even though he's a data analysis guy, he's leading some mission to take down this distributor.

[SPEAKER_03]: He's like celebrating.

[SPEAKER_03]: He's got to that was easy, but in, yeah.

[SPEAKER_03]: Just absolutely wild.

[SPEAKER_03]: Also at some point when they storm this building, he's like, oh, the building's like, [SPEAKER_03]: security, or our footage is on public Wi-Fi.

[SPEAKER_03]: I don't even remember.

[SPEAKER_03]: He just said something about public Wi-Fi.

[SPEAKER_03]: So he was like, so everything we're seeing this guy is also seeing.

[SPEAKER_03]: And I was like, well, that sounds like a real big problem.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: At one point, first off, what was his happening?

[SPEAKER_02]: Sorry, even Gloria keeps popping in.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.

[SPEAKER_02]: Ask him about like, hey, are your spy friends seeing what's happening with the weather?

[SPEAKER_02]: And he was like a yaspine on the weather.

[SPEAKER_03]: We watch people not weather.

[SPEAKER_03]: He says that like seven times.

[SPEAKER_02]: And to think, this is a thing.

[SPEAKER_02]: This is a thing.

[SPEAKER_02]: They show her screen in the weather.

[SPEAKER_02]: The storm's just stuff looks so insane.

[SPEAKER_02]: That we see ice cube look at this and go.

[SPEAKER_02]: I think he says one of these is one of, yeah, he said the people who actually went out weather.

[SPEAKER_02]: But he comments on like, that's crazy.

[SPEAKER_02]: And then just moves on.

[SPEAKER_02]: Like at one point, it's like a fucking tornado.

[SPEAKER_02]: Whisk with like a purple streak of like lightning going through it.

[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm like, so we just, [SPEAKER_02]: So everybody in the world sees this and no one cares.

[SPEAKER_01]: When she came to screen up first time and showed up weather and like said, there's a tornado go to a hundred miles an hour, there's lightning, firepower and special effects.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's like the West, that was the West that the special effects got for me.

[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, that's not, that's not how weather works.

[SPEAKER_01]: I know it's, that's the how it works.

[SPEAKER_01]: But also it was just like, [SPEAKER_01]: Leave, I got a guy on stalking my son on his sister.

[SPEAKER_01]: Just didn't care about the weather.

[SPEAKER_01]: None of this, you care about the weather.

[SPEAKER_03]: What was his relationship with this NASA?

[SPEAKER_03]: Why was he, why was there a woman at NASA that he was talking to?

[SPEAKER_01]: And why did she know the pictures with his family?

[SPEAKER_02]: Bro, it was that it's a see, date her at some point or at the end of the movie.

[SPEAKER_02]: When he had the photos, he's went pop a shark.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: And she got on the mama shark t-shirt.

[SPEAKER_03]: So they were dating or something.

[SPEAKER_02]: I don't that's what we have to see.

[SPEAKER_02]: You're asking for a character development break and this is not that type of movie.

[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_02]: You're asking for like plot.

[SPEAKER_03]: It seemed like it was implied that there was some romantic relationship between them, but they if it's never talked about or dealt with in any real way.

[SPEAKER_01]: In that picture also as well.

[SPEAKER_01]: his daughter's boyfriend was there with the Amazon Prime Capsule.

[SPEAKER_01]: I have every picture.

[SPEAKER_01]: He's still what he wears in older pictures.

[SPEAKER_03]: Let's talk about this too, by the way.

[SPEAKER_03]: So in the midst of spying on his daughter, we understand that his daughter is pregnant.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yep.

[SPEAKER_03]: that she, wait, is he, are they married yet?

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, they're getting married.

[SPEAKER_03]: They're getting married.

[SPEAKER_03]: They're getting married.

[SPEAKER_03]: They're not married yet.

[SPEAKER_03]: She is a brilliant scientist who is on the verge of like curing disease.

[SPEAKER_03]: And I know you're asking me, John, what disease?

[SPEAKER_03]: And the answer is yes.

[SPEAKER_03]: For this film, yes.

[SPEAKER_03]: This film, the answer is yes.

[SPEAKER_03]: And [SPEAKER_03]: We are led to believe that the person she is dating is an Amazon delivery guy.

[SPEAKER_03]: And no offense to any of our listeners.

[SPEAKER_03]: If that is your job, I get it.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's a solid paying job.

[SPEAKER_03]: Cool.

[SPEAKER_03]: But like in the world where you have someone whose father is a top [SPEAKER_03]: level at SA, and this woman like is a brilliant scientist.

[SPEAKER_03]: It was just like, what do we, what's, what do we do on here?

[SPEAKER_03]: What's the, you know, I guess he's just a nice guy.

[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, that's great, but it was just like, come on now.

[SPEAKER_02]: Bro, come on.

[SPEAKER_02]: They show him, they show him in that truck so many times.

[SPEAKER_02]: So many times he's just in the truck and he's like, what are you going?

[SPEAKER_02]: He's like, I was like, why are you going?

[SPEAKER_02]: I was like, why are you going?

[SPEAKER_01]: Who said that?

[SPEAKER_01]: displaying the brand budget, every like, yeah, who said that?

[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what's like in the States, but the guys here deliver our Amazon Prime, they don't wear uniform.

[SPEAKER_01]: They just like, they got like...

They just like wear yellow jacket.

[SPEAKER_02]: Typically.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, okay.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, so sometimes, so sometimes, so whatever you realize is Amazon has so many deliveries.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: They have people that they outsource.

[SPEAKER_02]: So sometimes it will just be a person in like a yellow vest in their car.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, exactly.

[SPEAKER_02]: Like just delivering stuff versus being an Amazon man.

[SPEAKER_02]: But this guy was official because he had the uniform and the van and the hat.

[SPEAKER_02]: So he was, he was, don't forget that.

[SPEAKER_02]: Don't forget that.

[SPEAKER_02]: Also, what's so crazy about this movie is like, yeah, as Bray was saying, like, you know, ice cube is setting up this like raid on the house of this hacker.

[SPEAKER_02]: He thinks his friend is in there.

[SPEAKER_02]: Of course, it's the wrong house.

[SPEAKER_02]: But then when she's in there, [SPEAKER_02]: the first the first asteroid star hit and was funny about a movie like this because in theory it should work if you watch searching and searching to so much happens just from screens but for some reason seeing these aliens start to like come out of their shell or whatever looks so fake and so cheesy and in my mind I'm like it could look so good because you don't have to see them that much like in theory you don't need a wide shot [SPEAKER_02]: of these aliens, because there's no one to phone, or at least not a perfect one.

[SPEAKER_03]: Right, but they're like, we don't want to pay anybody to do this.

[SPEAKER_03]: So, yeah.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: Also, I could be yelling at a screen when he can't do anything.

[SPEAKER_02]: It's hilarious.

[SPEAKER_02]: What?

[SPEAKER_02]: What?

[SPEAKER_02]: Wait, and then to me that the most curious thing this movie does is they give him these voiceovers when he's like reading something on a screen.

[SPEAKER_02]: Like there's one, and this is me skipping ahead.

[SPEAKER_02]: He does have to be getting him, but I really remember at the end when he's like, [SPEAKER_02]: The government was lying to me.

[SPEAKER_02]: The whole time.

[SPEAKER_02]: Good life is real.

[SPEAKER_02]: Keep in line.

[SPEAKER_02]: I was like, come on, man.

[SPEAKER_01]: What about the email is writing to his kids?

[SPEAKER_01]: The hardest thing in the world is being a father.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's right to see him after the whole film as well, right?

[SPEAKER_01]: So he starts it.

[SPEAKER_01]: He starts to make it because he's got a light surveil some stuff.

[SPEAKER_01]: But kissing him back to his email.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, what, I don't know.

[SPEAKER_03]: Also, he puts so many spaces in this email.

[SPEAKER_03]: I was like, bro, you don't have to, you know, every sentence doesn't need to have its own, why?

[SPEAKER_02]: Also, why not just do a voice, like why could you just not record a video?

[SPEAKER_03]: You've been doing, no, no, no, man.

[SPEAKER_03]: He wanted to send a personalized message, a letter, a written letter, if you will, written on the computer screen.

[SPEAKER_03]: So we could all read it.

[SPEAKER_03]: Ah, man.

[SPEAKER_03]: So, okay.

[SPEAKER_03]: When this thing finally starts it, when these things, okay, the first thing that happens all these meteors, you know, they seem like meteors, they're all like blow, like, kidding every major city in the world.

[SPEAKER_03]: And that's when we get the coffee cups bill, I think.

[SPEAKER_03]: And he's like, [SPEAKER_03]: And we have Evelyn Gory is some NASA, well, I don't, again, she works at NASA.

[SPEAKER_03]: What does she do for that?

[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know why she on the ground checking this out, who knows.

[SPEAKER_03]: She goes towards the media and they're like, hey, yeah, like, go, go check that.

[SPEAKER_01]: Go touch it.

[SPEAKER_01]: Go touch this thing, which might be radioactive, which might explode any second.

[SPEAKER_01]: What do you do?

[SPEAKER_01]: It is.

[SPEAKER_03]: And then we get our first fake death, right?

[SPEAKER_03]: And this is our, this is our first of of maybe twelve.

[SPEAKER_03]: Everybody, everybody, everybody, everybody, everybody, multiple times in this movie dies and then comes back.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's crazy.

[SPEAKER_02]: It also is never justified how to came back.

[SPEAKER_02]: Like she is right by the alien and survives.

[SPEAKER_03]: Why not?

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, why?

[SPEAKER_03]: Why not?

[SPEAKER_03]: The first time it, oh, sorry, actually the first time it happens is the, maybe the raid, right?

[SPEAKER_03]: Because then doesn't that room, doesn't that pull building blow up or something?

[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, and she comes back.

[SPEAKER_03]: And then all of a sudden she's out and then that person's out down there and then she's like, oh, and then it starts blowing everything up again and then she's out.

[SPEAKER_03]: But then she comes back again, doesn't she?

[SPEAKER_03]: She comes back again.

[SPEAKER_03]: Does anybody die in this movie?

[SPEAKER_01]: Wait, no, I think she does.

[SPEAKER_01]: Right?

[SPEAKER_01]: No, she's at the end.

[SPEAKER_01]: She's at the end.

[SPEAKER_01]: She's at the end.

[SPEAKER_01]: She's in the family picture, remember?

[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, that's right.

[SPEAKER_02]: He's got a touching alien tentacles.

[SPEAKER_02]: You know what's so interesting about it, but we're so funny about this version of War the Worlds, which again, on paper, it makes sense.

[SPEAKER_02]: These aliens weren't trying to kill us.

[SPEAKER_02]: They were just trying to feed on the data.

[SPEAKER_02]: Right.

[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, yeah, what what makes sense about that, sorry.

[SPEAKER_02]: But because in theory, these aliens aren't trying to kill anybody.

[SPEAKER_02]: They're just trying to go and find the biggest data centers and just eat.

[SPEAKER_02]: Does it?

[SPEAKER_02]: They was eating.

[SPEAKER_02]: They was whole green.

[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, so let's get to this, too, by the way.

[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, this is a little bit into the movie, but essentially we, [SPEAKER_03]: Who tells us this?

[SPEAKER_03]: Or is it even?

[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, okay.

[SPEAKER_01]: She finds out.

[SPEAKER_01]: She touches and gets and is all over and the same which is.

[SPEAKER_01]: Right.

[SPEAKER_03]: She's like, oh, they're all over it.

[SPEAKER_03]: They're in my clothes.

[SPEAKER_01]: That's the second time she almost died.

[SPEAKER_03]: And she's like, they're a little microscopic.

[SPEAKER_03]: They're all over me.

[SPEAKER_03]: And then she comes back.

[SPEAKER_03]: She's like, I got it.

[SPEAKER_03]: I got three of them.

[SPEAKER_03]: And you're like, what?

[SPEAKER_01]: And she's just that she's got an old school SD card as well.

[SPEAKER_01]: And that's all right.

[SPEAKER_01]: Look, they're just like the eating it.

[SPEAKER_02]: The eating the date, they want the data.

[SPEAKER_02]: Also, how does she collect those little little aliens?

[SPEAKER_02]: We don't know, is it, right?

[SPEAKER_03]: I think it's London in her hands.

[SPEAKER_03]: She's come to Mount.

[SPEAKER_03]: She's a NASA.

[SPEAKER_03]: She's a NASA agent.

[SPEAKER_03]: She can do a lot of things.

[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, but we find out, so eventually we find out that the disruptor is his son, really insane.

[SPEAKER_03]: He exposes this whole, first of all, he keeps trying to tell him about the lie at this big government program that surveil everybody.

[SPEAKER_03]: ice cubes like that doesn't exist.

[SPEAKER_03]: Even though like we said, he surveils everything and again, what what is Goliath, if not exactly what he does, so like why he wouldn't believe that there was just a higher level of this when he himself is is only level three clearance and there's five clearance levels.

[SPEAKER_03]: I don't understand that at all in any shape way or form doesn't it's like not [SPEAKER_03]: That big of a conspiracy to believe in.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's like you already do the thing that nobody likes, which is you spy on people, you hack into people's phones, you hack surveillance cameras, like you are exactly what we're talking about.

[SPEAKER_03]: Like we don't need a bigger thing than this.

[SPEAKER_03]: whatever this is.

[SPEAKER_03]: But he was like, okay, still they knew that the, but the bigger conspiracies that the aliens, everybody goes back to area for the one, of course, the aliens had come had crashed on earth before.

[SPEAKER_03]: And we realized then that they eat data.

[SPEAKER_03]: And so the reason that we were never supposed to do Goliath is because we knew that it would cost.

[SPEAKER_03]: And that because of the absolute horrendous moral and ethical implications of spying on your citizens at all times, it's because aliens will come from space and eat our data.

[SPEAKER_03]: And so that's why they didn't want to do it.

[SPEAKER_03]: But of course, Mark, Mark haven Jack.

[SPEAKER_03]: Is that his name?

[SPEAKER_03]: Mark haven Jack said that.

[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: Why don't you talk to him?

[SPEAKER_01]: I know he meant.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_03]: Because that he looks very similar.

[SPEAKER_03]: So Clark Greg and I say director is like, no, no, no, no.

[SPEAKER_01]: How old was he?

[SPEAKER_01]: He must have filmed.

[SPEAKER_01]: Fifteen minutes for this film.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: He's at home.

[SPEAKER_02]: He's at home.

[SPEAKER_02]: He was in his home all the way around.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: He probably was.

[SPEAKER_01]: He's down there.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's just not that.

[SPEAKER_01]: Looking down with white tiles, but I thought he's in the toilet.

[SPEAKER_01]: Just.

[SPEAKER_03]: It was just like, we never even, we never understood anything about this guy because he was just like, he was like, it was worth the risk and it was like, what do you mean?

[SPEAKER_03]: What was worth the risk?

[SPEAKER_03]: You already, what are you talking?

[SPEAKER_02]: Also, you're telling me nobody knew he built the world's bit.

[SPEAKER_02]: This whole satellite, I think no one in the government knew he did it.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I don't.

[SPEAKER_03]: None of this makes a lick of sense, including the motivation.

[SPEAKER_01]: Can I go back to something you just said?

[SPEAKER_01]: Right, because you said he's got, he's got mid tier clearance.

[SPEAKER_01]: Right.

[SPEAKER_01]: Why is he talking to the president?

[SPEAKER_01]: Why has he got like a direct line to president to like, why is he making PowerPoints sort of president and then telling him?

[SPEAKER_03]: No correct doesn't make any sense.

[SPEAKER_03]: He's in like a he's in like a zoom he's late to a zoom meeting with like the Defeat like the Secretary of Defense the President like the Joint Chiefs of Staff and it's like ice cube being like here's what's going on and you're just like right [SPEAKER_03]: never in a million years.

[SPEAKER_03]: Also, let's just, and I guess, maybe, if I've got to be racist, I don't know.

[SPEAKER_03]: What, like, the way that I skewed conducts up this movie, I'm just like, guys, they wouldn't let this guy be.

[SPEAKER_03]: They just wouldn't let him do this.

[SPEAKER_05]: Like, [SPEAKER_03]: We've seen what Colin Powell had to do like it's just like ice cube just be like damn like like You all are just like what are we who we kidding?

[SPEAKER_02]: It is is so funny because I don't know if they're supposed to take this movie serious in any way shape or form, but [SPEAKER_02]: ice cube is so fascinating because again, break your right, but also they don't do many, they don't have him discover many things on his own to make him seem smart.

[SPEAKER_02]: Like a lot like a lot of the stuff evil and warrior kind of figures out.

[SPEAKER_02]: And then he like realizes it like, oh, so is this, but he doesn't discover anything.

[SPEAKER_03]: And he's not really doing it like, okay.

[SPEAKER_03]: His eventually we finally, I guess get to see him maybe do the hacking stuff with his son, but before this, it's like, he's just a glorified.

[SPEAKER_03]: security guy, you know, who's looking at security footage.

[SPEAKER_03]: Like what is he actually doing?

[SPEAKER_03]: That's like so impressive that he has to.

[SPEAKER_03]: And it's like, all right, well, and like he's like running reports, but like it's just the computer telling him's that like, he'll just like click on a thing and be like, run report, like, and then the computer will be like, okay, this, the machine is moving at x, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.

[SPEAKER_01]: It copied that he selected the alien.

[SPEAKER_01]: He knew exactly how much it weighed, like the lunch be the velocity.

[SPEAKER_01]: And what, what it was doing.

[SPEAKER_01]: I have to breakfast that morning.

[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.

[SPEAKER_03]: It was given.

[SPEAKER_03]: So eventually it was given to our military guys.

[SPEAKER_03]: And then we're supposed to believe that they use this information to start beating them and they were.

[SPEAKER_03]: Also, but then also then there who's like, oh, they're changing, by the way, every change that you discovered, everything that he discovered, it seemed like he saw on the news, like, two, literally, like, two seconds later.

[SPEAKER_03]: And I was like, so I guess you're not doing much because the news is, they were just able to, like, he'd be like, okay, they're going after the data centers.

[SPEAKER_03]: And then, like, literally five seconds later on CNN, they'd be like, so all of the things are converging on data centers around the world and you're like, okay, so, [SPEAKER_03]: And I wasn't sure, like, I didn't know what time was, except for these crazy moments where all of a sudden they would show a clock and then the clock would move forward in time.

[SPEAKER_03]: And I would be like, why now?

[SPEAKER_03]: Why now do you care about time?

[SPEAKER_03]: We haven't, like, time is ethereal in this movie.

[SPEAKER_03]: We don't know what day it is.

[SPEAKER_03]: Like, is this all happening in one day?

[SPEAKER_03]: Like, who knows?

[SPEAKER_03]: You know what I mean?

[SPEAKER_03]: Like, how much time was going on?

[SPEAKER_02]: I guess it was one day.

[SPEAKER_03]: And I guess it was one day, but even though that doesn't really make any sense, but like, [SPEAKER_03]: Sure, like everything was moving up the speed of light until it wasn't.

[SPEAKER_03]: And like when they did the hacking thing, they were like, we have to let people know it took about thirty minutes for them to put all of this together.

[SPEAKER_03]: And I was like, we don't care.

[SPEAKER_03]: You did not need to show a time lapse because we have been just buying the fact that [SPEAKER_03]: time doesn't really exist in this world.

[SPEAKER_02]: Hundred percent, but also as one of those things too, it's like now it's time that exists, but it's funny because I know you know, maybe it does.

[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe this is solely one day.

[SPEAKER_02]: It starts at the top of the day when he gets to work.

[SPEAKER_02]: It's the one that is his daughter's, you know, no, it's, yeah, it is one day.

[SPEAKER_02]: Also, sorry, did they make me laugh about this movie so much?

[SPEAKER_02]: It's when his son, he finally starts working with his son.

[SPEAKER_02]: And then the aliens [SPEAKER_02]: come to the Sun Tiles because he has so much.

[SPEAKER_02]: Why didn't it go because the Sun has data?

[SPEAKER_03]: Well, no, no, the aliens when they try to upload this fire and they were supposed to be the triumphant moment, the upload of the virus, that somehow them doing that.

[SPEAKER_03]: The aliens were able to stop it because later on is explained, because they are cypes, cyborgs, and they're part machine part organic organic, thank you.

[SPEAKER_03]: Because of that, the virus didn't kill them, and yet it somehow alerted them to who tried to kill them.

[SPEAKER_03]: And so then they went after all of the people, and all of the eye-trigger kills them.

[SPEAKER_03]: But he's the only one who's IP address.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_03]: back to our earlier point of who died.

[SPEAKER_03]: I think all of these kids died, right?

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, like the same old.

[SPEAKER_03]: Except for the sun.

[SPEAKER_02]: Because the sun, the sun routed.

[SPEAKER_02]: First, I asked you, made me laugh because he was like, you couldn't, you couldn't go to his house and then reroute it.

[SPEAKER_02]: So I blocked.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and blocked my house.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: I got alien invasion insurance.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_03]: I got alien invasion insurance.

[SPEAKER_03]: When ice cubes says that it you're like, you hell yeah.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_03]: Hell yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: He ain't got it.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_03]: What do you think he son his son dies?

[SPEAKER_03]: He like is like no.

[SPEAKER_02]: Did he get every time he gets really emotional?

[SPEAKER_02]: He just he has to stay it up.

[SPEAKER_02]: Is he sad?

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, guys, this movie.

[SPEAKER_02]: I don't even know what he was saying about this thing.

[SPEAKER_03]: So then they so yeah, they realize [SPEAKER_03]: that they've known about this all along.

[SPEAKER_03]: And so now they're like, okay, we have to upload a virus to the data.

[SPEAKER_03]: Right.

[SPEAKER_00]: Was that the idea?

[SPEAKER_01]: They have to upload a virus that's embodied with the virus that he's daughter knows how to make.

[SPEAKER_01]: So they have to make it like a cyborg virus that kills you.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.

[SPEAKER_01]: Right.

[SPEAKER_01]: And organic money.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, somehow that exists in a USB chip.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: Sure.

[SPEAKER_03]: I loved that the one, the one like realistic thing that they did in this.

[SPEAKER_03]: They were like, they were like, so Dad, just put it on a USB stick and he was like, I don't have one.

[SPEAKER_03]: This is the NSA.

[SPEAKER_03]: They don't let you.

[SPEAKER_01]: That's B's sticks in here and it's like, yeah, but he's allowed to be on WhatsApp on all these different channels at the same time.

[SPEAKER_03]: Right.

[SPEAKER_03]: So he wants a difference.

[SPEAKER_03]: And nobody is here.

[SPEAKER_03]: Like nobody works.

[SPEAKER_03]: There's zero people in this building and nobody came to get you when you were stripped of your clearance.

[SPEAKER_02]: Also, his son is such a good hacker that when he loses his clearance, he just pops up on the screen.

[SPEAKER_02]: I've been watching YouTube that click this and he gets it all back in seconds in seconds.

[SPEAKER_03]: his son is the literally the best hacker in the world.

[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, I did think that the kids were.

[SPEAKER_03]: We're really trying with their other act.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: This is nothing.

[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not even going like, even.

[SPEAKER_02]: I'm, you know, we're crap.

[SPEAKER_02]: I don't.

[SPEAKER_02]: I see, but like you said, I keep does a certain thing, which is like he talks on the side of his mouth.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: He he is really aggressive, but you're watching a man.

[SPEAKER_02]: or perform or on screen by themselves, talk to nothing.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: When he's like looking at the screen and as opposed to be like someone exploding in his face, just freezes a little bit.

[SPEAKER_02]: I was like, oh, is it frozen?

[SPEAKER_02]: No, I know.

[SPEAKER_02]: This is him just like, I can't, it's, it's, it's, it's hard.

[SPEAKER_01]: Like this is doing the hard work.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's hard.

[SPEAKER_01]: And that director, this is his first speech film right as well as how, how we get that cross to him in the direction from a zoom screen to say, this is how he needs to react.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: And you're probably by herself.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe there's a camera person with a mask on, you know, like, um.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, like it.

[SPEAKER_01]: That's what I'm saying.

[SPEAKER_01]: That's what I said at the start.

[SPEAKER_01]: I've got no shade against ice in this film at all.

[SPEAKER_01]: None of it says, no, none of it says, well, apart from like what you've said before, that is he the right person for this wrong.

[SPEAKER_01]: Great.

[SPEAKER_01]: It needs someone more nuanced as an actor who can just work at how to do this.

[SPEAKER_01]: Ice is great when he's got good directions, got good people to bounce against.

[SPEAKER_01]: And that car is across so many different genres of films.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's kind of crazy what he's good in when he's used properly.

[SPEAKER_01]: Is he's pumping this?

[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe not.

[SPEAKER_01]: Is he grates in this?

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: I know at the same time.

[SPEAKER_01]: Also not going like that.

[SPEAKER_02]: It's a parent.

[SPEAKER_02]: When he's running, when he's running at the end.

[SPEAKER_02]: He's running at the end and he catches the drone.

[SPEAKER_02]: And then like he goes in and they start like.

[SPEAKER_02]: I think it was a day like pulling his legs or something like that.

[SPEAKER_02]: My mind goes to like, what was there when he was acting this year?

[SPEAKER_02]: Like was it was he just like in a in a white room and they're like, no, we're going to see GI everything just like claw towards this green.

[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm like, why are I setting up like he's going that?

[SPEAKER_02]: No one is died in this movie.

[SPEAKER_02]: And you're not about to kill ice cube.

[SPEAKER_02]: You don't want to kill ice cube?

[SPEAKER_03]: No, totally.

[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, we're supposed to like think he's like sacrifice himself and then it doesn't.

[SPEAKER_03]: Also, whatever.

[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it's like the word the world's the original, like obviously the book written by British author, he's she wells has a really cool ending that the movie, Steven Spielberg movie adapted, which is [SPEAKER_03]: the thing that winds up killing these aliens is bacteria.

[SPEAKER_02]: And is that how is it an original?

[SPEAKER_02]: That's the original too.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_03]: And it's like, like humans lose, like we cannot stop them.

[SPEAKER_03]: Like we do not have the military might to stop them.

[SPEAKER_03]: It looks like we're just completely beaten and done.

[SPEAKER_03]: And then eventually, like the person in the book like comes out and he's like, they're all dead and they're like, what the heck happened?

[SPEAKER_03]: And then we just like respect Syria.

[SPEAKER_03]: And in the Steven Spielberg movie, it's like they're literally like, kind of like eating us and using our blood to like, I don't even roll their crap.

[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah, it's pretty gross.

[SPEAKER_03]: Um, the Spielberg one is great though.

[SPEAKER_03]: It really, like, it's like, it's it's PG their team, but it feels like it should be hard just because of how like, [SPEAKER_03]: Or if I get it as a times, I remember this.

[SPEAKER_02]: I think I think there's two scenes or once I remember being like really intense.

[SPEAKER_02]: It's like him and Dakota fanning and like the house is getting like broken down or he's trying to like [SPEAKER_03]: It's the thing in the house.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, the house was like that.

[SPEAKER_02]: But it also remember being so upset at that movie where like they get divorced and in the sun is just chilling.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that almost that almost single handedly ruined the film.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's funny because it's just like Steven's be over wanting a happy ending, but it was just like it was so unrealistic.

[SPEAKER_03]: It was I hated that.

[SPEAKER_03]: like, and then happen to Boston on all places.

[SPEAKER_03]: They taking Boston for no.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's so stupid.

[SPEAKER_03]: I hate that.

[SPEAKER_03]: Um, anyway, anyway, back to worth worth twenty twenty five.

[SPEAKER_03]: There's nothing else really does this to say.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's just so sad.

[SPEAKER_01]: I've got one comment, which I, which I, bump against, is that [SPEAKER_01]: We see the meeting the data, we see the meeting data in the fields.

[SPEAKER_03]: And again, what does that mean?

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: But then we see, we see them on a Facebook page.

[SPEAKER_01]: Correct.

[SPEAKER_01]: And on this Facebook page is me, Nathan.

[SPEAKER_01]: We see that disappear before our very eyes.

[SPEAKER_01]: But YouTube's still there.

[SPEAKER_03]: Everything's still there.

[SPEAKER_03]: I can't tell you.

[SPEAKER_03]: When they were like, well, the reason our military is waiting is because like GPS doesn't work anymore because our data is being eaten.

[SPEAKER_03]: And I was just, first of all, I was like, is that a GPS work?

[SPEAKER_03]: I was like, what?

[SPEAKER_03]: Plains of oil.

[SPEAKER_03]: Plains of oil.

[SPEAKER_03]: Plains of oil.

[SPEAKER_03]: Plains of oil.

[SPEAKER_01]: Plains of oil.

[SPEAKER_01]: Plains of oil.

[SPEAKER_01]: Plains of oil.

[SPEAKER_01]: Plains of oil.

[SPEAKER_01]: Plains of oil.

[SPEAKER_01]: Plains of oil.

[SPEAKER_01]: Plains of oil.

[SPEAKER_01]: Plains of oil.

[SPEAKER_01]: Plains of oil.

[SPEAKER_01]: Plains of oil.

[SPEAKER_01]: Plains of oil.

[SPEAKER_01]: Plains of oil.

[SPEAKER_03]: Plains of oil.

[SPEAKER_03]: Plains of oil.

[SPEAKER_03]: Plains of oil.

[SPEAKER_03]: Plains of oil.

[SPEAKER_03]: What didn't they, didn't they say that they took out a bunch of our satellites?

[SPEAKER_03]: Is it, wouldn't GP, I was, it, it made no sense.

[SPEAKER_03]: They were like, well, there was no warning because like, they took out our satellites.

[SPEAKER_03]: It was like, yeah, the internet still works.

[SPEAKER_03]: GPS still works.

[SPEAKER_01]: Like, this isn't a lot of satellites warning.

[SPEAKER_01]: If, it makes no sense.

[SPEAKER_01]: It makes no sense.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's not like, if all the satellites went, wouldn't someone say, hold on, that's, that's a bit strange, guys.

[SPEAKER_03]: It just, I was just like, what, like, the things that worked with it, and then like, our data is being eaten, but he's still on the computer, like, I was just like, so what is data?

[SPEAKER_03]: Like, what does that mean?

[SPEAKER_01]: What does it mean?

[SPEAKER_01]: Just Facebook.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's meta.

[SPEAKER_01]: Instagram wasn't working, Facebook wasn't working.

[SPEAKER_01]: That's it.

[SPEAKER_01]: Everything else is fine.

[SPEAKER_03]: Anyway, I was like, yeah, he was still able to go on Amazon Prime and order something.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, so wasn't that data?

[SPEAKER_02]: Also, how does that work?

[SPEAKER_02]: If you have to go order it before I can send it, even though I have the drill right here.

[SPEAKER_02]: Screw them.

[SPEAKER_01]: Did he also have a USB stick in his bag as well?

[SPEAKER_01]: Did he just have that ready?

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, fine.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so it just has like a bunch of stuff to say.

[SPEAKER_02]: I can't get him to make this movie got made.

[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, anything else you want to say before you do the cars?

[SPEAKER_02]: I wanna say something to the Hollywood system.

[SPEAKER_02]: Just let me make a movie.

[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I'm saying?

[SPEAKER_02]: And I could tell you this, if this is bad, is this one, at least it'll be talked about?

[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm saying, so what's the lose?

[SPEAKER_02]: What's the lose?

[SPEAKER_02]: This movie was so bad that I bet you a bunch of people watched this and you know what?

[SPEAKER_02]: I just Googled Amazon Air.

[SPEAKER_02]: If it was real, I wanna order something from Amazon Air just to see if I got to deliver it by a joke.

[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, this daughter, um, among Benson, she played Kenya's daughter in Black AF.

[SPEAKER_02]: That's what she's from.

[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, and she was also in Candy Kane Lane with Eddie Murphy.

[SPEAKER_02]: God, I was like, is the whole time I was like, I guess she's so familiar.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: Um, Tim, she's making her rounds all the black dead.

[SPEAKER_02]: Black dead.

[SPEAKER_02]: It's awful.

[SPEAKER_01]: Like, it's that's so true.

[SPEAKER_01]: So who's the sun there?

[SPEAKER_01]: No, I don't recognize the sun for anything.

[SPEAKER_03]: I've never seen a manry hunter hall.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's his name and [SPEAKER_03]: He was in Harry.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, okay.

[SPEAKER_03]: That Harriet Tubman moved me that.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and I guess apparently he was also in two episodes of when they see us, but I don't know who he would have played in that.

[SPEAKER_03]: I guess he was maybe somebody's brother, younger brother, probably.

[SPEAKER_03]: I guess apparently he was also in the movie Black Nativity.

[SPEAKER_03]: You remember that with Forest Whitaker and the, oh, when he was like, he must have been like, too.

[SPEAKER_03]: I know, right?

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_03]: Anywho.

[SPEAKER_03]: Well, yeah, because Jacob's bottom.

[SPEAKER_03]: Wait, Jacob, bottomers in that.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's time for the cause who ray and review films not based on how much we like them, but whether or not they help the cause of leading black actors in Hollywood.

[SPEAKER_03]: If we feel like a film fully helps the cause, we give it a black fist.

[SPEAKER_03]: Someone helps the cause, we give it a white palm if it doesn't help the cause at all.

[SPEAKER_03]: We don't give it anything.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's a very interesting one.

[SPEAKER_03]: Or the world's twenty twenty five kind of give it a think about that.

[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, count of three will raise our ratings for or the world's twenty twenty five in Amazon feature.

[SPEAKER_05]: Three.

[SPEAKER_05]: Two.

[SPEAKER_05]: One.

[SPEAKER_05]: Okay, yeah, sure.

[SPEAKER_03]: I wasn't sure.

[SPEAKER_03]: I really wasn't.

[SPEAKER_03]: I'll give it a black fist.

[SPEAKER_02]: Listen, listen.

[SPEAKER_02]: Who like this?

[SPEAKER_02]: Kobe, you want to say why you gave it a black fist first?

[SPEAKER_01]: Because why can't we have terrible films?

[SPEAKER_01]: Which is a great.

[SPEAKER_01]: My man.

[SPEAKER_01]: You know, my man.

[SPEAKER_01]: You want to talk about the top of the room?

[SPEAKER_01]: Batman and Robin, which I, I hate watching every now and again.

[SPEAKER_01]: Why not?

[SPEAKER_01]: Why not?

[SPEAKER_01]: Let's have it.

[SPEAKER_02]: To me, this movie is progress, cover your right.

[SPEAKER_02]: We deserve to have bad movies too.

[SPEAKER_02]: And you know what, we deserve to make a bad movie.

[SPEAKER_02]: And you know what, make another movie after that, because people make bad movies.

[SPEAKER_02]: All right.

[SPEAKER_02]: And also this movie, you know what, I would like to say, the I believe they're not only [SPEAKER_02]: do we get to make bad movies?

[SPEAKER_02]: I think that this movie is one of the worst movies and that's a really strong thing to do.

[SPEAKER_02]: This movie was so utterly bad that it became famous for being bad.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: So you know what, even when we bomb, we bomb spectacularly.

[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I'm saying?

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah [SPEAKER_00]: two pair of films for the longest time in there.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yep.

[SPEAKER_01]: Showgirls.

[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, this how quickly this just spread across the internet spread across the world is astonishing.

[SPEAKER_01]: Right.

[SPEAKER_01]: So well done.

[SPEAKER_03]: Congratulations.

[SPEAKER_03]: And it was done because of ice cube.

[SPEAKER_03]: And so that shows how it would.

[SPEAKER_03]: It shows people who make movies.

[SPEAKER_03]: Hey.

[SPEAKER_03]: Black actors can be the stars of bad movies, too.

[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_03]: And people will come see them.

[SPEAKER_03]: We still have star power.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's like I truly believe that ice cube is the reason this movie is is popular way more so than the [SPEAKER_03]: producer who made all of those, sort of all these streamcasts.

[SPEAKER_03]: What is it?

[SPEAKER_03]: Stream life, stream life movies.

[SPEAKER_03]: So anyway, I, I, I agree, fist.

[SPEAKER_03]: And also, you know, we got Henry, we got two young, uh, up-a-coming black actors in here who've, who've got great credits.

[SPEAKER_03]: So mod and Henry and who knows, maybe they'll be leading a movie someday.

[SPEAKER_03]: And this is another, another film that people have seen them in.

[SPEAKER_02]: And they'd be like, oh, I remember when I had to do that, could be a good joke.
