Episode Transcript
[SPEAKER_01]: It's a lot of ketchup right now, but they need to have an answer from their top guys.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think Tony White stays, but got some eyes on.
[SPEAKER_01]: They got to get an answer soon because they'll just get lapped and you'll miss out on these opportunities on quarterbacks and top tier talent that they have to have.
[SPEAKER_01]: If you're having immediate fix, you have to go spend a lot of money for top tier talent.
[SPEAKER_01]: There's no F and around, no fooling around.
[SPEAKER_01]: You have to do it and you have to do it right now.
[SPEAKER_01]: It has to happen right now.
[SPEAKER_04]: Hey guys, it's Tersten and you're listening to hear the Spear presented by no game day.
[SPEAKER_04]: Go those.
[SPEAKER_07]: Hey, what's up?
[SPEAKER_07]: The Spear's War, aka, he goes in the house.
[SPEAKER_07]: So listening to hear the Spear is in about no game day.
[SPEAKER_07]: Go live, go nose.
[SPEAKER_00]: Hi, this is Charlie War, and you're listening to hear the Spear.
[SPEAKER_00]: Don't know.
[SPEAKER_07]: This is 12, luckily.
[SPEAKER_07]: You're listening to hear the Spear, doesn't it by no things day?
[SPEAKER_07]: No bloody.
[SPEAKER_06]: But perhaps better known as the greatest corner that ever stepped in a football field, beyond crime time sanding.
[SPEAKER_06]: Great, it's beyond selling my world though.
[SPEAKER_06]: Let's go, no man, I can wake up to that ingredient every day, man.
[SPEAKER_05]: That was awesome.
[SPEAKER_05]: Hello, those fans, this is former Fimano Derek Brooks, the year listening to Here's The Spear, presented to you by no game day.
[SPEAKER_06]: James Wilder Jr.
[SPEAKER_01]: What is happening, guys?
[SPEAKER_01]: This is Logan Robinson from here this beer, who's new to it by nogginmy.com.
[SPEAKER_01]: We have staff, changes, and man, they're coming in.
[SPEAKER_01]: They're coming pretty dang quick.
[SPEAKER_01]: We have multiple before we even hopped onto this show.
[SPEAKER_01]: Today, a little morning show for you guys, and get to hear from y'all, or we did not have a show earlier this week.
[SPEAKER_01]: We kind of wanted to save a lot of this for, [SPEAKER_01]: the end of the week and sure enough, a lot of changes are in coming for Florida State with some other assistance.
[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to talk about Pat Sir Tan moving on, being dismissed from Florida State also too, which just broke about 15 minutes ago.
[SPEAKER_01]: David Johnson, Florida State's running backs coach is being pursued by Arkansas likely headed that way as well.
[SPEAKER_01]: We'll do a deep dive into that.
[SPEAKER_01]: and how that affects four state moving forward.
[SPEAKER_01]: We're also going to talk about Lane Kiffin and all of that chatter about four to state trying to poach him from Ole Miss.
[SPEAKER_01]: We're also going to talk about multiple other staff changes that we probably expect to see moving forward for four to state.
[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to talk Tommy Castellanos and Kevin Spary, Tommy's trying to appeal and get another year of eligibility.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then we're going to talk some early signing day before we finish off with some basketball updates from Austin and he's going to save you the FSC basketball crowd so you don't freak out too much.
[SPEAKER_01]: But with us this morning, a morning show, Dustin Lewis, our editor-in-chief and an Austin Visi, our lead basketball writer, gentlemen, good morning to you.
[SPEAKER_01]: We've had a busy week and Friday is looking like it's going to be even more busy at this moment.
[SPEAKER_09]: it's good to be back yet it's been a pretty crazy week I personally picked something up over there in the swamp that I've been battling for the last couple days but as we can see the the work doesn't slow down with their early sign and period now coaching changes and who knows what else will be grapple near over the next couple days.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, and I've got a flight to Houston and two and a half hour three hours to watch Florida State take on Houston and the rockets arena look at four to that one, even if that's the product hasn't been amazing, but we keep turning it there's always going to be news for for the next at least month or two.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I was going to say what the way college football is now like the season and yet sadly for Florida state at ends before you even get to a ball game.
[SPEAKER_01]: Nowadays, but it is very busy the next couple of weeks with how much things change with staff, players, retention, transfer portal, and you're talking about new coaching staff members coming in.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it is a very, very busy time and of course, too.
[SPEAKER_01]: early signing day, which floor say had a busy day on with Wednesday and that actually ends today as well.
[SPEAKER_01]: But we got to get started.
[SPEAKER_01]: We got a lot to do before Austin catches that flight.
[SPEAKER_01]: So let's start off with Pat Sir Tan.
[SPEAKER_01]: This broke earlier this morning.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think for a [SPEAKER_01]: and they put out that Florida State is going to be moving on from their defensive backscoach.
[SPEAKER_01]: This was definitely, uh, I would say surprising certainly to for the fan base because of, you know, the success that he's had on the recruiting trail and you could say to some of the guys that he put into the league as well, but also to, you know, Austin, you and I were speaking a little bit before we went live, you know, [SPEAKER_01]: There has been a lesser product as of late on that side of the ball.
[SPEAKER_01]: We've also, you know, always kept an eye on Patrick's or Tana after seasons because there's also been contemplation if he's going to go elsewhere and find another gig or maybe upgrade himself to another career spot.
[SPEAKER_01]: But now, you know, it seems like Florida states, some negative decision here and is going to move on from their defensive backscot.
[SPEAKER_01]: She all spots on this one.
[SPEAKER_09]: definitely a little surprised, you know, I didn't think that this would be the first one on the docket per se, but you know, you look at the cornerbacks room this past season and it was just pretty much a disappointment, you know, he did help jibrio rolls have a [SPEAKER_09]: a standout season in 2025 before he was knocked out for the rest of the campaign.
[SPEAKER_09]: But one of your biggest acquisitions in the transfer portal Jerry Wilson, a guy you expected to come in and be a leader on that defense, make a huge impact there and that defensive backfield.
[SPEAKER_09]: I mean that was arguably a bust for Fort Estade.
[SPEAKER_09]: And [SPEAKER_09]: You can kind of see some of the the recruiting and the developmental problems over the years because, you know, you've suddenly got a true freshman from our new.
[SPEAKER_09]: They're in the starting lineup over some of those other guys who you were pretty high on when you brought them in the four to say Charles Lester.
[SPEAKER_09]: who just hasn't been able to consistently take that step and get out there, tie baits, some of those other guys there, in the defensive backfields, those little surprising to me, but the results haven't been there all the time on the field and there have been some big misses on the recruiting drill.
[SPEAKER_09]: You think back to after four to say, got snubbed from the college football playoff in 2023, and they had a commitment from five star safety, KJ Bolden.
[SPEAKER_09]: and bolden the ends up flipping there during their early sign in period.
[SPEAKER_09]: He's with Georgia now.
[SPEAKER_09]: Obviously, and there was a couple big ones in this class.
[SPEAKER_09]: You know, we talked about a couple of weeks ago today.
[SPEAKER_09]: He's used four star safety.
[SPEAKER_09]: It'd been committed to four to state for over a year.
[SPEAKER_09]: And this guy flips to a three and nine Syracuse program.
[SPEAKER_09]: Then loss.
[SPEAKER_09]: It's final eight games of the season.
[SPEAKER_09]: overstaying in the state of Florida at FSU and then the big one, Jay Timons, the Florida State Legacy recently flipping there over to Ohio State.
[SPEAKER_09]: So, I mean, there are some arguments for why he shouldn't have been retained.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, hot take.
[SPEAKER_08]: I don't mind this at all.
[SPEAKER_08]: I was thinking at the other day.
[SPEAKER_08]: I'm like, I wouldn't be upset if he moves on.
[SPEAKER_08]: Like, yes, he's arguably the best recruiter on staff, but when they're not developing like Charles Lester, we haven't seen on the field, basically at all, and when he has been out there, he's just not good.
[SPEAKER_08]: We haven't seen Jamari Howard.
[SPEAKER_08]: We haven't really seen Ricky Knight.
[SPEAKER_08]: We've hardly seen any of these guys that [SPEAKER_08]: were highly touted and just not just not playing and people are I think mainly the argument is why I see the first one that I don't know because I think we still expect people like Paputius and some of these other guys to go here at some point in the next few days.
[SPEAKER_08]: But when there's just no development in that room, when you're relying on a true friend, Shumar Arne who was basically started by the end of this season, you could kind of one hand the guys of that have developed under satan.
[SPEAKER_08]: It's Renardo, it's AZ, and it's Rawls.
[SPEAKER_08]: That's really, really it, and that's just, that's not acceptable.
[SPEAKER_08]: For a program like Florida State that has all these legendary defensive backs that have come through it, you got to be better at developing cornerbacks than this.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, and I think you can point to Renardo, [SPEAKER_09]: Jiren Jones, but those guys were already pretty established whenever certainty and you're got here anywhere.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, now we're here and I mean, I think we've seen, I guess you can say former players now just saw Mike a Pettis put out a tweet and he's also surprised by Pat Sertan being let go over there, kind of like an SMH.
[SPEAKER_01]: reaction that he had emoji wise and then Tony O'Kermarty also put out a tweet and said, listen, I know you guys would love to see me at four state, but I'm two four state for this coaching staff.
[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm a guy that goes straight to the source and bring up problems in the situation.
[SPEAKER_08]: So maybe not, it's definitely a cramarty.
[SPEAKER_08]: I love him, man.
[SPEAKER_08]: Great player.
[SPEAKER_08]: I'm tired of you talking.
[SPEAKER_08]: I don't like, I don't care.
[SPEAKER_08]: This is probably going to get back to him.
[SPEAKER_08]: Somehow.
[SPEAKER_08]: I don't care.
[SPEAKER_08]: He's tried to do this for five years where he just calls things out, expecting it to help his situation because he's he's been very vocal that he wants to spot on staff.
[SPEAKER_08]: He's been very vocal about it.
[SPEAKER_08]: It's not.
[SPEAKER_08]: I'm just tired of it to be honest.
[SPEAKER_01]: I missed the other tweet where he did [SPEAKER_01]: Practically go off on FSU.
[SPEAKER_01]: How the hell did you dismiss your best recruiter and developer of talent developer?
[SPEAKER_08]: Okay [SPEAKER_01]: But should he's your best coach on staff this doesn't make any sense at all unbelievable He's probably gonna bring in this guy TJ rushing just be on the lookout I can say is wow Make it makes sense and you guys I mean he's been very vocal throughout this entire season I'm actually tried to bring him on the show and we could definitely have a discussion you and AVZ you and him have a good discussion there All the developer is hilarious though.
[SPEAKER_08]: That's that's funny.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's actually where where did Kondaris Jones go?
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that is true.
[SPEAKER_01]: Some some things I don't know and then you got Evan Cooper who's your safety's coach, you know, things got a little bit different with Tony White coming in.
[SPEAKER_01]: So, Evan Cooper comes in coaching safety's and then of course, you know, Pat's or 10 kind of role changed there and there's also been all like I mentioned earlier, chatter of him.
[SPEAKER_01]: always looking maybe looking for other jobs, other places and such that could also be in the fold here a little bit, but you know, this is on Florida State's decision-wise to move on from they could easily kept them in another some comments saying, you know, it's pasture to any it's probably going to NFL.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, that could still happen, but Florida State is dismissing him.
[SPEAKER_01]: That would have been something where, you know, whatever team, whatever that might be, if you're heading to the league.
[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, back in a coaching staff realm, that would be the story wouldn't be where, you know, forced a dismiss as you then you go to the NFL.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's not the case for state.
[SPEAKER_01]: Let go.
[SPEAKER_01]: Pat's or tan there.
[SPEAKER_01]: Now.
[SPEAKER_01]: And we'll have a lot more discussion throughout this and we got a long off season head because then we got to start talking about replacement and what happens to what retention all this kind of stuff.
[SPEAKER_01]: But we got to keep moving here.
[SPEAKER_01]: We got a lot to talk about this morning, another big one, I just broke David Johnson for stage running backs coach.
[SPEAKER_01]: Arkansas is pursuing him for their running backs.
[SPEAKER_01]: Job this is from CBS sports and Matt Zenits.
[SPEAKER_01]: I also worked at Tennessee before coming to Florida State.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's brought in a lot of talent as well.
[SPEAKER_01]: Almost.
[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like too much talent back there and then it's a revolving door.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's a whole another discussion that will have where we see two, three, four running backs in one game.
[SPEAKER_01]: Don't let me get started on that.
[SPEAKER_01]: But y'all spots on this one because once again, you know, you're hearing a couple other names before you hear some that we thought would be most certainly first on the chopping block.
[SPEAKER_09]: definitely not the first two names that I would have expected to go off the board for four to stay but it seems like Ryan Silverfield over at Arkansas looking to make a potential splash higher to his coaching staff and there's a previous relationship here Silverfield and Johnson were both on that Memphis staff under Norbel for a couple of seasons before Johnson made that leap over to Tennessee and then rejoined Mike Norbel at four to stay and [SPEAKER_09]: You know, I can't really fault his development over the years.
[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, I feel like Forta Sates done a pretty good job of producing running backs since he arrived until I asked the obviously the rotation this year.
[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, pretty confusing.
[SPEAKER_09]: But at the end of the day, that's a decision that comes down to Gus Malzon.
[SPEAKER_09]: Now, we did have the fumbling issues earlier in 2025.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, that three game stretch were you at three different running backs.
[SPEAKER_09]: lose a fumble and you know I talked about at the time I was like that that falls too coaching in my opinion when it's three different guys having these problems, but you know we've seen obviously trade Benson go to League, Lawrence Toe Filly made plenty of plays during his time at FSU, you know you can think back to some of those other guys draw some of these [SPEAKER_09]: For Sean Blurb, I mean, rose up and had a pretty good career here before he transferred elsewhere.
[SPEAKER_09]: We started to see designs from Samuel Singleton Jr.
this season, didn't get to see enough from Chroma, but some of those flashes were there, so yeah, it's definitely a surprising move.
[SPEAKER_09]: We'll see if he does end up taking that job at Arkansas.
[SPEAKER_08]: I think you can make the argument, which granted, I don't know how much is the science, probably been Norvel's best assistant, since he's been in Tallahassee, you can at least [SPEAKER_08]: consistent recruiting for the most part because the guys they brought in have mostly been productive.
[SPEAKER_08]: Um, you know, you mentioned Sam single to you mentioned Kroma and we haven't talked about like just Sean Corbin from the first couple years.
[SPEAKER_08]: But the running backs room has mostly been one of the strong points of this team for for Nervous tenure.
[SPEAKER_08]: Um, but I'm also not consistent.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I'm just not going to be upset by anybody on the staff going.
[SPEAKER_08]: I'm just not.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I think that's a thing, you know, I don't think the fan base, I mean, there's a few, and it mainly goes into the recruiting part of things, but ladies and gentlemen, recruiting has not been great for the staff, but it has not been great.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you can get excited about some four stars, you can get excited, but that's it's not been the staff has not been successful on that front now have they've been able to like for David Johnson though.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, even going to like C.J.
[SPEAKER_01]: Campbell, like walk on guys those guys were developed and playing.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think C.J.
[SPEAKER_01]: Campbell just hit the transfer portal as well, like there's [SPEAKER_01]: There is talent that David Johnson was able to put together.
[SPEAKER_01]: And we know what tree Benson was.
[SPEAKER_01]: That was a huge land also coming to the transfer portal.
[SPEAKER_01]: He came in with all these injury issues and chatter, all that kind of stuff.
[SPEAKER_01]: And he was able to be a star for you.
[SPEAKER_01]: And it's now at the league with the Arizona Cardinals.
[SPEAKER_01]: But you know, [SPEAKER_01]: The thing, and I'm glad you brought that up Dustin because we're talking early before we went live and the rotation and running backs and that's on Gus Malzon and such, but you know, Florida state made a big push to get Usman Kroma.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, they put a lot of their NIL resources into it, this past off season, and you got to wonder, [SPEAKER_01]: why is not why why why why why why why don't you see more chroma because you could see that the the the ceilings very high for that for that kid and she know you should you really wouldn't like to have him out there more against uf which uf played at a way different caliber than you did and you got your ass walked by your rival and gainsville.
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, and man handled and if you want to have some kind of physicality use me and Kroma would be that running back I don't think Roy Dell Williams is going to be that.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think a lot too much loyalty and that running back room Um, I don't know who that who the who the cause you he put point two I guess you can point to Gus mount's on because he's the one calling the plays and put the personnel in there You know David Johnson just stared to develop those guys and coach them But I think it was just a mess.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean lady.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean guys going into the season.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean [SPEAKER_01]: that Alabama game, those two games, I mean, this running back room was just exploding.
[SPEAKER_01]: We thought, oh my god, this can't be stopped with, you know, an upgraded offensive line.
[SPEAKER_01]: And it would have thought at the end of the season, you know, forced, they likely, you know, not having David Johnson going into 2026.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, I mean, they look pretty good there through the first half of the season, although, and then it just seemed like they kind of became their worst enemy with the way that the guys were being rotated and didn't feel like, especially for the younger players that didn't have a ton of playing experience, like Samo Singleton, Jr., and Chroma.
[SPEAKER_09]: You know, they're not able to get into a rhythm whenever they're in the game for two or three plays get taken out for the next two or three drives get thrown back in for a carry taken out.
[SPEAKER_09]: It was just very confusing at times.
[SPEAKER_09]: And like I said, I believe that falls on to Gusmels on shoulders, but David Johnson along with his duty as the running backs coach.
[SPEAKER_09]: He was the recruiting coordinator at four to say, [SPEAKER_09]: unable to land a top 10 class, you know, since Mike Mervelle arrived in Tallahassee.
[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, this year you're going to finish in the top 15.
[SPEAKER_09]: I believe one of the better.
[SPEAKER_09]: Maybe maybe the best class of the Mike Mervelle era.
[SPEAKER_09]: But a lot of that comes down to the fact that four to state took 32 signings, which is among the most of any college program in this recruiting cycle.
[SPEAKER_08]: I was going to speak on that later, but Miles will talk about it now for a team that has so much pressure to win to take 32 freshmen is kind of insane, especially with them mostly being while we project to be developmental three stars.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, now maybe we can get another mandrel to seeer and you get six of them that can play next year, but how likely is that?
[SPEAKER_08]: It's an interesting strategy for a team that has so much pressure on them next year.
[SPEAKER_09]: So a lot of quantity and maybe not a ton of quality, you know, for the state, these are guys, a lot of them are guys and they're going to be developed over years, I believe, only [SPEAKER_09]: Only nine blue chip recruits in this class out of 32.
[SPEAKER_09]: And that's obviously not a hit rate.
[SPEAKER_09]: That's good enough in this age of college football.
[SPEAKER_01]: Mm-hmm.
[SPEAKER_01]: Nope, not at all.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that's going to be a very, very, very busy off season for these guys in the transfer portal.
[SPEAKER_01]: But let's keep moving here a little bit.
[SPEAKER_01]: We'll do with some other news as well.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, we expected this to happen.
[SPEAKER_01]: Tommy Castellano's comments did on this.
[SPEAKER_01]: near the back end of this season and certainly two after the UF game and you know he wants to come back and he wants to specifically play for Florida State in twenty twenty six, but it was shared today by I think his lawyer or his law firm that who he's been represented by that he is.
[SPEAKER_01]: Whatever you call that guy.
[SPEAKER_01]: I can't hit Hatinger, Hatinger.
[SPEAKER_09]: That's the one that they're always involved in something.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, he's he's the one representing the players suing coach Hamilton like yeah, he's just in and around Florida Alex the state for athletics tied all around this.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, practically I'm not gonna run through exactly what he said.
[SPEAKER_01]: It was a long tweet that they put out But practically he is trying to appeal and get another season of eligibility and height [SPEAKER_01]: Ask you guys this and I've got a strong take as this on this as well because I personally don't think moving forward Tomicassalotosis your best option for success in twenty twenty six certainly.
[SPEAKER_01]: If we're going to go down this continuous route to where Florida state is going to be a lesser product or they they they they need to have a better quarterback and they need to have a better one also the demeanor.
[SPEAKER_01]: Personality kind of over that.
[SPEAKER_01]: It was fun while last and more importantly, going into the season and build some confidence for Alabama.
[SPEAKER_01]: After that, though, it's been bad.
[SPEAKER_01]: I did not like his comments, gentlemen, after the Florida game, he didn't say he didn't.
[SPEAKER_01]: He didn't need to improve.
[SPEAKER_01]: He said he did not.
[SPEAKER_01]: There was nothing really that he needed to improve on going into this next season.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's majorly concerning that that's gonna be your starting quarter.
[SPEAKER_08]: And just to that point, like I know there was another comment, there was one more comment, though.
[SPEAKER_01]: And I didn't hear this.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if that was on the broadcast.
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, VZ when you're watching the UF game, I don't know.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's somewhere where he said that this team plays really nervous going into road games Like that's one thing that has affected.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, they did say they said something along those lines, but also going back to like the Virginia last going oh yeah We needed that and then you go five and seven and it's also like I get it's this day and age of social media but [SPEAKER_08]: posting a loss in the swamp on Instagram just doesn't survive with me like that's just having a lot of other players.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, like a lot of people do that.
[SPEAKER_08]: I don't think I'm just that's just that's your leader and you get killed.
[SPEAKER_08]: It wasn't even like close thoughts.
[SPEAKER_08]: You get smoked by three and nine or three and eight football team going in that game and you're like, Hey, here's me shooting the bow and arrow.
[SPEAKER_08]: That just doesn't survive with me.
[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, no, a shot of him celebrating by himself pointing at UFO fans and everything and the comments out to the game.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, no improvement.
[SPEAKER_01]: There, you don't think you need any improvement.
[SPEAKER_01]: Going into 2026.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's absolutely not.
[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's a...
[SPEAKER_01]: I thought that was a wild statement to have, and I just, I don't know how that's not the route that Florida State needs to go at all, and that'll be my take throughout this entire off season moving forward.
[SPEAKER_01]: But he's gonna ask for more eligibility.
[SPEAKER_01]: And, too, I think it also becomes a conversation of Gus Malzons going to be here moving forward.
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, there's been talk about him being interested in other gigs or is he going to retire after this year and such.
[SPEAKER_01]: But still, the product on the field from his side wasn't great.
[SPEAKER_01]: This team cannot play on the road whatsoever.
[SPEAKER_01]: I can't.
[SPEAKER_01]: And you can blame the players for execution.
[SPEAKER_01]: There's opportunities.
[SPEAKER_01]: East.
[SPEAKER_01]: the coach that you're still the coach and that you make those players execute if they don't execute, then you got to try to find a fix and that was never fixed.
[SPEAKER_01]: You went three and a load to begin the season, things were working well and the offense side above.
[SPEAKER_01]: Once you hit the road, things just outside of Virginia game, just were absolutely catastrophic for you.
[SPEAKER_01]: And that just can't be the case for your offense coordinator and that offense.
[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, Gus Mazzon got his guy at quarterback and now [SPEAKER_01]: did everything you could for him and you did that right in her hand as well.
[SPEAKER_01]: But I think it would be very scary to have, you know, Gus and Tommy back going into 2026.
[SPEAKER_01]: For FSU, maybe somewhere else.
[SPEAKER_01]: But I just can't be in Tallahassee.
[SPEAKER_09]: I think that's probably the biggest thing that I'm watching, because obviously the Gus Malzon connection, that was a big reason that Florida State was able to get Tommy Castlano's to tell Assy and to have him perform better than he did during his final season.
[SPEAKER_09]: At Boston College, but it just wasn't good enough.
[SPEAKER_09]: It was pretty inconsistent, especially there on the road.
[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, you compare his passer rating at home to what it was on the road.
[SPEAKER_09]: There was a drastic drop off.
[SPEAKER_09]: The touchdown to interception percentage away from home.
[SPEAKER_09]: And, you know, as we know, for the state, didn't score a point in the first quarter on the road.
[SPEAKER_09]: And any of those five games didn't score a single point in the first quarter.
[SPEAKER_09]: And it's final six games of [SPEAKER_09]: the regular season, and a lot of those issues go back to Tommy Castlano's and the way Gus Malzon is running that offense at the moment.
[SPEAKER_09]: So if Malzon does end up moving on from four to state, he's not back in 2026, I doubt Tommy will be as well.
[SPEAKER_09]: And just with the way that Tommy was talking after the loss to Florida, it kind of seemed like a guy who was moving on from this situation and being asked about next year and he was saying, they can get it right next year, not we, like he had been saying all season, [SPEAKER_09]: And after that, after he said that, he was asked, you know, if he plans to be back and he said if he gets the waiver, you know, he only wants to be at four to state next season.
[SPEAKER_09]: We'll see how all that works out.
[SPEAKER_09]: You know, if he does get that waiver, I'd be surprised if he's back with the way things that kind of been trending over the last week.
[SPEAKER_08]: I'll say this.
[SPEAKER_08]: I do think he gets the waiver at the very least.
[SPEAKER_08]: It just it seems like a case that they can win.
[SPEAKER_08]: We've talked about he only played the four regular [SPEAKER_08]: If Malzon moves on, like you guys have said, I do not expect time and be the quarterback, because Mike didn't want him to be a quarterback to begin with.
[SPEAKER_08]: He wanted him to be a running back or an athlete or anything else.
[SPEAKER_08]: Gus was, I think Gus really drove that decision saying, hey, we can win football games with him and they won five.
[SPEAKER_08]: So if Malzon moves on, I don't see any way in which Tommy's back enough, Gus is back on the staff next year, then who knows?
[SPEAKER_08]: But it really comes out of what happens there.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, and I mean, Mouson was one of the few who believed that Tommy could be a quarterback at the college level coming out of high school.
[SPEAKER_09]: And if he goes somewhere else and you bring in a new OC, there's no guarantee that Tommy fits into what that guy wants to do.
[SPEAKER_01]: Now, it gets really interesting with retention too.
[SPEAKER_01]: So let's say, Gus Mouson no longer offers a corner.
[SPEAKER_01]: They move on there and Kevin Spary was also recruited from Gus Mouson for the state.
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, how does that look for four states quarterback room going forward if you don't have Tommy, and let's say Gus find a job elsewhere, retirees, whatever that is, but if he definitely finds another place does Kevin Spary, follow him to that spot because [SPEAKER_01]: I think you could tell that Kevin Spary was your true QB2 living for and got put into those opportunities in games and big time moments for himself as well in the road, certainly there at Stanford, which should never be a big moment when your face seems Stanford.
[SPEAKER_01]: It should never be a big moment.
[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe for a true freshman kicker that has to hit a 60-yarder in Stanford.
[SPEAKER_01]: That should never be the case where you have enough of it throughout a true freshman [SPEAKER_01]: Anyways, moving forward here.
[SPEAKER_01]: What is your quarterback room?
[SPEAKER_01]: Kind of look like moving forward.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, obviously, I think we all at least for us.
[SPEAKER_01]: We're like in the transfer portal and we're starting to see who's going to be available here definitely soon in the coming weeks.
[SPEAKER_01]: That gets very interesting.
[SPEAKER_01]: Delo's certainly two if there's more staff changes, you know, they're quarterback's coach and tow cars.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: might just be brought Glenn in a few weeks here just my V I'm not even playing with you might just be brought Glenn.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's time for Brock.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think so.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm full and around, but that's I mean that's there's so many different things that you got to like piece together here and it's going to be very interesting these next few weeks gentlemen.
[SPEAKER_09]: We'll see how it works out, you know, I thought the the biggest path to stability at the quarterback position for four to stay was having Tommy come back for another year and continuing to develop Kevin Spary have him ready to go.
[SPEAKER_09]: in 2027, but if Tommy's not back and you've just got it as is, you know, Brock Lynn returning Kevin Spary back, they do have Jalen King who read sure to this season after transition from East Tennessee state not expecting you.
[SPEAKER_09]: Okay, let's, I'm trying to say not expecting not expecting much there.
[SPEAKER_09]: I'm just going to be ready to go over the [SPEAKER_09]: I don't really think he fits Gus Malzons offense and what Malzons likes to do anyway, I mean not more of a traditional pocket passer rather than a guy who can really [SPEAKER_09]: get after it with his legs, but I mean, that's your quarterback room coming back then for to say they've got to dive into the portal.
[SPEAKER_09]: You've got to go find a guy for the third straight year because I don't think Mike Norwell going into this 2026 season, which is going to decide his job status until I see if it hasn't already been decided behind the scenes already.
[SPEAKER_09]: They need a guy proven ready to go and go out there and win games for for to stay.
[SPEAKER_09]: And do you really want to start off the 2026 season with a retro freshman [SPEAKER_09]: I don't know, but I'm that they'd want to do.
[SPEAKER_08]: I think a lot of us like what Spary has as a quarterback.
[SPEAKER_08]: The tools are there.
[SPEAKER_08]: He's got good mobility.
[SPEAKER_08]: The arm strength.
[SPEAKER_08]: Maybe we'll see how that develops.
[SPEAKER_08]: But we at least like what's there on paper and see what he becomes.
[SPEAKER_08]: I think Norvel really likes him, which is why even if Norvel does move on, I don't expect Spary to go anywhere.
[SPEAKER_08]: But I'd still like for him to develop for more years.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, sorry, it's on.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I've got some, it's on, sorry.
[SPEAKER_08]: If you move on, I still expect Norvel to keep sparing around, but I'd like for him to develop for one more year before he's just turned to the fire.
[SPEAKER_08]: It's not like this is James Winston, has a red shirt fresh from.
[SPEAKER_08]: It's a guy that was a three star face.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: And two, you know, Florida State, I mean, Mike's and I have to say it again, but it's got to be a immediate fix.
[SPEAKER_01]: I got immediate fix.
[SPEAKER_01]: And if you're going to have a media fix, you want a quarterback that has experience and that can play and can also throw the ball for the state to not have that this year.
[SPEAKER_01]: threw it up to do Stravinson and make a play man, make a play and then we saw the way McCoy a little bit at the end of the season never saw Squirrel White, just gonna get the ball around enough, but like if you're gonna have an immediate fix you, I don't think a media fix would be throwing in like you said, Dustin, new VZ, a red shirt freshman, and here you go, you're gonna have the keys to the car in 2026, I could like him a lot, but [SPEAKER_01]: Not enough playing time.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, not that he had to play a ton this year, but you want to see more from him.
[SPEAKER_01]: He just doesn't have the experience.
[SPEAKER_01]: Does he probably have, you know, some talent that you can work with moving forward with some more development for sure, but for the state has to find a quarterback that can throw the ball.
[SPEAKER_01]: And that's what a quarterback does.
[SPEAKER_01]: And Tommy can't give that to you Kevin might later.
[SPEAKER_01]: But after that, you know, Florida State, they're going to have to jump in that transfer portal and find somebody that can do so or they're going to be and some interesting trouble and that's the thing.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's not only losing some assistance across the board here a little bit.
[SPEAKER_01]: And your head coach, you know, there's not a whole ton of belief outside of this early signing day.
[SPEAKER_01]: There's so many question marks across the board.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think forced A needs to get the answer soon from Gus Mauson because they've got to start working these things quick and fast.
[SPEAKER_01]: Because definitely when you're talking about quarterbacks, offensive Lyman, forced A has to go to the edge rumors as well.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then Lybacker room, like these things need to be, it's got to be going now.
[SPEAKER_01]: It should have been going weeks ago.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, [SPEAKER_01]: you know, forced to add men then seem like they had a plan after the Stanford game at all.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, we'll talk a little bit more probably in next week's show on, you know, the game plan of a general manager and how that feels like it's just been weighted way too long, way too long for all of that, all of that mess.
[SPEAKER_01]: So a lot of catch up right now, but they need to have an answer from [SPEAKER_01]: They're top guys.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think Tony White stays.
[SPEAKER_01]: But Gus Mazon, they got to get an answer soon because they'll just get lapped and you'll miss out on these opportunities.
[SPEAKER_01]: On quarterback's and top tier talent that they have to have.
[SPEAKER_01]: If you're having immediate fix, you have to go spend a lot of money for top tier talent.
[SPEAKER_01]: There's no f and around, no fool around, you have to do it.
[SPEAKER_01]: And you have to do it right now.
[SPEAKER_01]: It has to happen right now.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yep, I mean, they're falling behind the eight ball day by day.
[SPEAKER_09]: Especially, I mean, you already failed to make these changes before the early signing period.
[SPEAKER_09]: And now, you need to get this stuff done as soon as possible with that transfer portal window opening up on January 2nd.
[SPEAKER_09]: Only gonna have 15 days there for players into the portal and for four to state to host guys on campus trying to get them into the fold.
[SPEAKER_09]: And obviously, at this point, the spring window, the spring transfer portal window, [SPEAKER_09]: has been eliminated.
[SPEAKER_09]: So, all of Florida states work in that portal is going to be done during that small stretch there in January.
[SPEAKER_09]: And I mean, man, they, they need to have a plan.
[SPEAKER_09]: Because obviously, now you're going after your third transfer quarterback and as many years, the bringing in DJ was a big failure.
[SPEAKER_09]: Tommy, there were some positive signs early on, but with the way it ended over those final nine games.
[SPEAKER_09]: Thank you.
[SPEAKER_09]: You can call that one a miss for [SPEAKER_09]: Can't afford it.
[SPEAKER_09]: Mike can't afford it.
[SPEAKER_08]: Florida said, it's got to win minimum eight games next year.
[SPEAKER_08]: And even that's like, I don't know.
[SPEAKER_08]: I think you can kind of need nine to take for Mike to get another.
[SPEAKER_08]: I just don't see that happening.
[SPEAKER_08]: No matter what happens in the transfer portal.
[SPEAKER_08]: I just do not see that happening.
[SPEAKER_08]: And as we've said for the last few weeks, I don't know which successful quarterbacks are A gonna be in the portal and B are gonna be affordable.
[SPEAKER_08]: Because that's the big deal like Carson back got 4 million at Miami.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't see four to say doing that I just don't No, this this program won't do that.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think they've shown you that they will not do that now They need to find it and that tier one though, and they need to look for quarterback and that tier one That like I said you don't want to be lapped and you can't be behind you got a pretty pretty big Yeah, and you know Florida Florida's got a new head coach [SPEAKER_08]: and they're putting together they already you know what's pretty interesting the gentleman so of course the move on uh...
and they get they got their new head coach also believe in that same day announced their new general manager oh this was this was amazing florida fans once again were in my comments because i was laughing at this if you're behind Dave called well who was the gentleman of the jaggers and in his tenure they want thirty percent of their football games i am not worried just not [SPEAKER_08]: He still know he'd be still a GM like he was a GM of the Jaguars and he went 30% in his general manager tenure.
[SPEAKER_08]: He stinks.
[SPEAKER_08]: I'm from Jacksonville.
[SPEAKER_08]: All my friends are jacks fans.
[SPEAKER_08]: They hated him.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: But to give them credit though, they had the plan.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they had a plan.
[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then of course they've had time.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, after they moved on for Billy Napierball, blah, but still I still think Florida State at that Stanford game.
[SPEAKER_01]: absolutely of a joke to lose to Stanford.
[SPEAKER_01]: Utterly embarrassing should never happen again, or ever happen, ever, ever.
[SPEAKER_01]: But we saw it in our lifetimes, sadly.
[SPEAKER_01]: The fact that there hasn't been a plan in place after that same game, after you made that statement to the fans that, you know, you're not an ounce in a higher run, do you December 5th, the season's over, not making a bowl game, like you don't have a plan yet for what you're gonna do off the field, which is going to save you and save this staff, moving forward and save Mike and Rebell.
[SPEAKER_01]: and his jobs since you believe in him so much you haven't put together that plan already and you're now I mean how long is it going to take until forcey does that and then too that also impacts to your transfer portal like who's going to be putting this together you're not given this guy enough time guy or gal whoever it is not given this person enough time as well like you're going to expect them in just a few weeks to go to roster and [SPEAKER_01]: also to try to find the targets that are out there for you and negotiate all this kind of stuff.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's not even probably one person.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's multiple people as well that you're hiring.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like that wasn't happening after the Stanford game, but we're going to do it after NC State.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, they still haven't done it.
[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't think that even.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't really don't think that even happened until after the UF game.
[SPEAKER_01]: I really don't.
[SPEAKER_09]: I mean at this point are you going to realistically have that person in place before the next 30 days?
[SPEAKER_09]: I don't I don't have the answer.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, but that should never be the case for a program like foreseen.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm saying like that.
[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely.
[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, yeah, we've seen what happens when you just continue to kick the can down the road.
[SPEAKER_09]: You lead to a 210 and 2024 and 5 and 7 and 2025 and right now Who knows a four to state is going to be in contingent to make the postseason in 2026.
[SPEAKER_09]: I would say I would say no unless there are some major changes across this roster and coaching staff and [SPEAKER_09]: That's yet to be determined obviously, they're taking their time.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's not pretty.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's not pretty where they're at.
[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, I mean, we've already seen multiple staff changes today, who knows we might have some more before we even get off of this show.
[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, that's that's a lot that they got to go through here.
[SPEAKER_01]: And you would think that they'd have a lot of these things put together.
[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, you have Scott their coach.
[SPEAKER_01]: Even a USF, they got Ryan Hartline, what a hire for them down here in Tampa.
[SPEAKER_01]: And that works.
[SPEAKER_01]: Shout Derek Brooks, man, C-O-O of USF.
[SPEAKER_01]: He just got hired just what few months ago.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then he and Rob Higgins, USF's athletic director, make a big time hire there.
[SPEAKER_01]: So shout out, hear the spirit of Lama, too.
[SPEAKER_01]: We love some Derek Brooks.
[SPEAKER_08]: If that works, there's a, there's a chance heart lines your next coach of Florida state like there just is.
[SPEAKER_08]: If they go like 10 and 2 this year, because we already know what he can do as a recruiter.
[SPEAKER_08]: And now you're giving him more floor to Taz.
[SPEAKER_01]: You can see it.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, what is y'all starts to?
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, we haven't covered this yet, but what are y'all starts on summer all going to UF because, of course, that plays an impact and to one of your biggest rivals, recruiting yada yada yada, but what are yall starts to disimpress?
[SPEAKER_01]: You're as it kind of, uh, you're in that same boat as another Napier as, you know, champs 998 is saying here on YouTube.
[SPEAKER_09]: You know, obviously their first choice was Lane Kiffin and not able to pull him with LSU committing some massive financial figures there to his salary and roster and coaching staff and everything, but I think some role is a nice choice for Florida.
[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, he's now build up two programs, turn them into conference championship contenders, and then obviously, you know, with to Lane this year.
[SPEAKER_09]: a potential college football playoff contender.
[SPEAKER_09]: So he's done well at the group of five level.
[SPEAKER_09]: Obviously, you never know how that leap to the FDS is going to go until it happens.
[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, Mike Morvell was a very successful group of five coach.
[SPEAKER_09]: We've seen what has happened now over the last six years.
[SPEAKER_09]: And I mean, the same thing with Billy Napier before that, you know, he made that lead to Gainesville.
[SPEAKER_09]: It didn't work out.
[SPEAKER_09]: Sometimes it does.
[SPEAKER_09]: Sometimes it doesn't [SPEAKER_09]: a history of success.
[SPEAKER_09]: And then I really do like that higher of the Georgia Tech offensive coordinator bringing him over there.
[SPEAKER_09]: It's also a smart move from that guy because Haynes King, not going to be there after this season.
[SPEAKER_09]: I think Georgia Tech might take a step back in 2026.
[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, he's making that leap.
[SPEAKER_09]: Well, he's hot at the moment.
[SPEAKER_09]: So we'll see how it works out.
[SPEAKER_09]: I do like some of the moves that they've made so far though.
[SPEAKER_09]: And you know, they've been a lot quicker to the drold and [SPEAKER_01]: So we're not laughing at you.
[SPEAKER_08]: You didn't expect it off in the comments today.
[SPEAKER_01]: Grant Grant said breaking news.
[SPEAKER_01]: No game.
[SPEAKER_01]: They will not be renewing these contract.
[SPEAKER_01]: I had in the 2020 sex.
[SPEAKER_01]: I guess you and I need to meet after this show.
[SPEAKER_08]: Easy.
[SPEAKER_08]: This is crazy.
[SPEAKER_08]: I don't even have a contract.
[SPEAKER_08]: So I'm with the sources.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't even have them under contract.
[SPEAKER_01]: I guess I kind of do, but we don't have a term, they're not a term.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, for this.
[SPEAKER_08]: I'm just, oh, yeah, there's someone at Facebook too who's going after me.
[SPEAKER_01]: And like, geez, um, hey, what's going on in your head?
[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's pretty cool.
[SPEAKER_01]: That that's crazy.
[SPEAKER_08]: So to disrespect the hat is crazy.
[SPEAKER_08]: Um, you know, but I agree, I agree with us.
[SPEAKER_08]: And I think the Faulkner hire is pretty solid.
[SPEAKER_08]: Um, I just think he's done a lot of good things over there at Georgia Tech.
[SPEAKER_08]: I am dubious on if John Summer will work.
[SPEAKER_08]: at Florida.
[SPEAKER_08]: I'm just not sure his way of winning football games will work in the SEC.
[SPEAKER_08]: It's just one of those we're going to have to wait and see it.
[SPEAKER_08]: Now, do I find it funny that Florida hired a G5 coach from the state of Louisiana to hire another G5 coach from the state of Louisiana?
[SPEAKER_08]: Yes, I do find that very funny, but we'll see if it ends up working.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yep.
[SPEAKER_01]: But you know what?
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not saying anything about Florida at all and on the same page that's used as with an interim head coach Yeah, you can't nobody know FSU fan out that they are, but I mean the way that you got dominated in that game for both the rivals this year It's embarrassing to embarrassing so you can make fun of Florida whatever it is new hire FSU fans are just like we we want a new hire we want a new hire and on on the same page Napier going to James Madison.
[SPEAKER_08]: I think it actually be a pretty good fit there [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and I could write that out for a while, Drew's Madison had success, but yeah, some some movement going around the state of Florida and Miami hurricanes are going to have the season that they did and gave $4 million to Carson back and aren't going to make it into the ACC or into the cause for a playoff.
[SPEAKER_01]: But a time will be a lie, right?
[SPEAKER_09]: What goes around comes around.
[SPEAKER_08]: I am really really hoping Duke wins the ACC championship game and there's just no ACC teams in the college football play off.
[SPEAKER_08]: Do you know how funny that would be?
[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, no.
[SPEAKER_08]: After all the laughing they did at us two years ago.
[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, I would have a field day.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Now it's gonna become official and FSU Twitter will have the fun that they've been wanting to have for a while outside of the season.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's been [SPEAKER_01]: catastrophic.
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I feel like, you know, after that Alabama game, you know, that that like we've been saying that that expectation rose really quickly and man that it just fall down right on your face in a crazy that you go three and a, and I've been thinking about this since we haven't had a show until Friday.
[SPEAKER_01]: waiting this long so it's given me more time to think about the uf game and then just go through out the week and just think about this season overall.
[SPEAKER_01]: But you start off the season three and oh and you can't get three more wins to reach a ball game.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, two of those wins were over nobody.
[SPEAKER_01]: No, I know, I know, but you are gifted those two, which is even crazier.
[SPEAKER_01]: You're gifted you paid money to be able to get those two wins.
[SPEAKER_01]: But you can't get three more Austin and Dustin.
[SPEAKER_01]: You can't get three more.
[SPEAKER_01]: Stinks.
[SPEAKER_02]: What do you call this state?
[SPEAKER_01]: You could be steppered.
[SPEAKER_01]: Could have been.
[SPEAKER_01]: It could have been a lot of things.
[SPEAKER_01]: It was awful, Florida was awful.
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, you lose to Miami.
[SPEAKER_01]: They are better with you in talent on that side.
[SPEAKER_01]: And Florida is too as well.
[SPEAKER_01]: But Florida's three.
[SPEAKER_01]: You can't win three more, Mike.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, are you a chance?
[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, you were in that game with Virginia, you had the lead over Pittsburgh, and then do Scott heard in the second quarter and after that, the offense was basically anemic for the rest of the game and lose that one and dope Campbell Stadium.
[SPEAKER_09]: Obviously, the Stanford debacle in C state.
[SPEAKER_09]: It's 14-11 there in the fourth quarter.
[SPEAKER_09]: You're getting the ball back and coming off for touchdown drive.
[SPEAKER_09]: And we all know what happened next.
[SPEAKER_09]: And then it happened again.
[SPEAKER_09]: And then in C state, score to touchdown on fourth down.
[SPEAKER_08]: We will never see anything like that in a divisional football game ever again.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, we got my next year man.
[SPEAKER_08]: No, that's that's a unique experience.
[SPEAKER_08]: No one else has lived that to see a punt be shanked so badly 20 yards to the left that a player bailing just completely getting out of the way.
[SPEAKER_08]: It's off his helmet bounces backwards 30 yards and NC state picks it up.
[SPEAKER_08]: Throwing out again another month.
[SPEAKER_01]: I've been in another three and now, but to go for them fourth down this time and it's court touchdown that'll never happen again I can I'm pretty confident saying that I hope I hope not, but man doesn't it and you have a little bit more time to think on things and it's gonna be that way for a little while longer I told some new things start happening and start getting new players coming in, but man looking back at this season I mean then the football gods at least [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe the fans were after you, time out the admin, they're after you the pissed off, they're ready to move on from Mike, but even the football gods are telling you.
[SPEAKER_01]: The football gods, like they're telling you, right there, right there, it's right front of you.
[SPEAKER_01]: And you're still ready to roll in 2026 with this again.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think we're gonna see some amazing things, Vizzie.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that might be definitely once in a lifetime type of moment there, but we've seen a lot of once in a lifetime moments under Mike Norville's 10 year.
[SPEAKER_01]: And we got another year to go.
[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see if it'll be a full year, [SPEAKER_01]: the show ain't stopping.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, we got more.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, it's something.
[SPEAKER_09]: Just crazy to say, you know, you're probably five, six, seven plays from flipping those four games and being a seven and five team instead of a five and seven team and maybe heaven.
[SPEAKER_09]: A little bit more hope, probably not a lot more hope than where we are right now, but a little bit more since you actually got back to the postseason.
[SPEAKER_08]: But why are we talking about if like we can't be talking about if the frog guy wins wouldn't hit it but when it hot like it's.
[SPEAKER_08]: They lost these games are five and seven they stink.
[SPEAKER_08]: They're not an eight and four football team.
[SPEAKER_08]: They didn't play like an eight and four football team.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, if you guys are enjoying this show, we've got over 300 of you guys here on YouTube.
[SPEAKER_01]: Appreciate y'all hanging out with us.
[SPEAKER_01]: Consider hitting that subscribe button down below.
[SPEAKER_01]: We go live at least once.
[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe twice.
[SPEAKER_01]: We'll probably do two shows a week and over in the office.
[SPEAKER_01]: And now we're doing three week.
[SPEAKER_01]: But now, since we won't have post game recaps, any more no bowl game, hopefully not.
[SPEAKER_01]: Hopefully for us, they've done try to get into one of those.
[SPEAKER_01]: Please, but definitely consider hitting that subscribe button.
[SPEAKER_01]: We've seen a lot of growth this last season.
[SPEAKER_01]: We appreciate even with how the season's been.
[SPEAKER_01]: We appreciate y'all coming in here, engaging in the like button and sending some comments.
[SPEAKER_01]: Even if it's making fun of VZs, a tire, but I still like that.
[SPEAKER_08]: Like, yeah, don't make fun of that.
[SPEAKER_08]: Like, yeah, it has to always think good I got going for me right now.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that this is about it.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, basketball's not looking too hot right now as well.
[SPEAKER_01]: We'll talk about it about that in a second.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, man, rough.
[SPEAKER_01]: And it's Friday too.
[SPEAKER_01]: They got a Friday.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, man, I mean, good mood.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yesterday is my friend.
[SPEAKER_08]: I don't even have to technically work today, but like, come on, man, not the hat on your day off.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's getting ripped the shreds out here.
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I gentlemen, let's not jump into some sleeper picks and we'll talk some FSU basketball because VZ's got the full rundown for you as well.
[SPEAKER_01]: But let's make some sleeper picks shout out to sleeper.
[SPEAKER_01]: They're right with us all throughout this season.
[SPEAKER_01]: And we're not done.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we've got to make some picks.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think we just go make it easy on ourselves.
[SPEAKER_01]: And we go to NFL on Sunday for ourselves.
[SPEAKER_01]: Who's less take the less comic castle on those passing yards?
[SPEAKER_01]: Sweet.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's going to go to the NFL.
[SPEAKER_01]: The.
[SPEAKER_01]: Don't even get me started on Tommy.
[SPEAKER_01]: I've.
[SPEAKER_01]: I've had time to think gentlemen, a lot of time to think.
[SPEAKER_01]: God, I've got to move on.
[SPEAKER_01]: Anyways, shout out the sleeper.
[SPEAKER_01]: Let's make some picture or quick.
[SPEAKER_01]: Shoulder Sanders, man.
[SPEAKER_01]: We, if we say shoulder Sanders here, the YouTube algorithm will just we might go up to a thousand viewers shoulder Sanders shoulder Sanders.
[SPEAKER_01]: Let's make a pick on him.
[SPEAKER_01]: Why not?
[SPEAKER_01]: He's playing Tennessee.
[SPEAKER_01]: Come on, Tennessee's awful this year.
[SPEAKER_08]: Less.
[SPEAKER_01]: You're the only one, Tennessee.
[SPEAKER_01]: Tennessee's awful.
[SPEAKER_08]: Dustin, I'm not letting that slide.
[SPEAKER_01]: What?
[SPEAKER_01]: What did he just say?
[SPEAKER_08]: Don't worry, Pat.
[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know.
[SPEAKER_08]: That's the reason he's laughing to himself over there like an idiot.
[SPEAKER_01]: All right, you can cancel.
[SPEAKER_01]: No, okay, I get it.
[SPEAKER_09]: All right, I'm walking's coming back, though, right soon.
[SPEAKER_01]: Dang, we're really, you really want to do the last on Shoulder Sanders.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_02]: Cincinnati's.
[SPEAKER_09]: Can we see what his stats have been recently though?
[SPEAKER_09]: 156, it's crazy.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't know where here you go.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm gonna see that on 49, 56.
[SPEAKER_01]: Tennessee's secondary is not that great though, right?
[SPEAKER_01]: Or am I wrong on that?
[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, Tennessee got a, the got the Jerry's Sneed.
[SPEAKER_01]: Come on, let's go more.
[SPEAKER_01]: George Sanders, come on.
[SPEAKER_01]: We're pro, we're pro-standard algorithms gonna love us.
[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, for fuck's sake, did we put out a Shiloh Sanders interview?
[SPEAKER_01]: Got 150.
[SPEAKER_09]: He's at the most recent units.
[SPEAKER_09]: I'm just saying, if he had 149 against San Francisco, he's got a pretty good chance to get there against Tennessee.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's got to, right?
[SPEAKER_01]: I love a channel about y'all, but this guy is a stud for me.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'd be down to shave him even down to, you want to shave a little shaving action and go to 70.
[SPEAKER_01]: You'll go with that.
[SPEAKER_01]: Sure.
[SPEAKER_01]: We've playing against the jets [SPEAKER_01]: can't do it all right can do it all um jalen heard slong man that's been hitting so that's that can't hit again right longest completion 32 and a half passing on the more i don't know man i wish james was playing who baker baker baker maybe some baker actually let's go some baker cuz we cover baker [SPEAKER_01]: 218 passing out of the Saints are got awful too and not that I don't mind to 18 I don't need it.
[SPEAKER_01]: And to book you're living in the passing game.
[SPEAKER_01]: Second game back.
[SPEAKER_01]: And it's 1.8 times more.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's my favorite week.
[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't believe he will be.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think maybe [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't think so.
[SPEAKER_01]: Jayla McMillan won't play either, but I think that's I think those are three good pictures right there, don't I'm telling you, shallows or shouldows not go over.
[SPEAKER_08]: It's just not happening.
[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, we just put down a boost on here.
[SPEAKER_01]: Shout out to sleeper man.
[SPEAKER_01]: All right, five bucks, twenty three dollars.
[SPEAKER_01]: We win.
[SPEAKER_01]: I like those picks.
[SPEAKER_01]: Those are pretty solid right there.
[SPEAKER_01]: We're right with the use of door.
[SPEAKER_01]: What do you do the wrist?
[SPEAKER_01]: with the watch, 156 and a half on the more for passing yards, a chain, 70 plus rushing for the dolphins and Baker may field with the more on 218 and a half passing yards.
[SPEAKER_01]: Shout out to Sleeper, we appreciate you all for partnering with us the entire football season.
[SPEAKER_01]: Gentlemen, let's talk some FSU basketball.
[SPEAKER_08]: I don't mean that boy.
[SPEAKER_01]: What's happening?
[SPEAKER_01]: What is happening with Luke Lowks and FSC basketball?
[SPEAKER_01]: Because I'm not against Luke Lowks or anything.
[SPEAKER_01]: First season also to the town that he's working with.
[SPEAKER_01]: Not so great.
[SPEAKER_01]: Got a big man for sure to help out.
[SPEAKER_01]: But the defense has been very, very bad and the shooting is not pretty right now.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, there's no excuse for the shooting like they're better shooters than this like all these guys are historically much better shooters in this and they're just not hitting shots.
[SPEAKER_08]: I'm sure part of that is due to fatigue and the the absolute blazing pace that they're paying access.
[SPEAKER_08]: It's a really fast pace that's going to lead to some dead legs.
[SPEAKER_08]: That's why coach loves one of these guys to be in great shape this this season and I guess they're just not.
[SPEAKER_08]: Um, but.
[SPEAKER_08]: people are way overreacting to this.
[SPEAKER_08]: It is code.
[SPEAKER_08]: It is year one of a head coach who has never coaching college basketball.
[SPEAKER_08]: He has one player that he's playing that played major minutes for a power conference school last year.
[SPEAKER_08]: That's Chelsea Wiggins.
[SPEAKER_08]: And he was averaging eight points for game at Clemson last year.
[SPEAKER_08]: Like this is gonna take time.
[SPEAKER_08]: I said before the year, I have not changed on it.
[SPEAKER_08]: This is going to be a 500 basketball team.
[SPEAKER_08]: This is a proof of concept year.
[SPEAKER_08]: Show the system that you want to run and then get the horses in the stable later.
[SPEAKER_08]: And they've got a top dinner crewed in class.
[SPEAKER_08]: We've talked about it.
[SPEAKER_08]: Burn the best junior, Marcus Bonder, Colin Paul.
[SPEAKER_08]: Jason Lopez just signed with both football and basketball this week.
[SPEAKER_08]: They've got the guys coming.
[SPEAKER_08]: It's just gonna take time.
[SPEAKER_08]: I'm not overreacting in game 7 and game 8.
[SPEAKER_08]: When you're going against teams that are running the exact same system as you, but been doing it for five, six years in college.
[SPEAKER_08]: They know how to make it work.
[SPEAKER_08]: This is game 7 and game 8 for Coach Lox in college.
[SPEAKER_08]: It's just not going to be perfect right now.
[SPEAKER_08]: And that's okay.
[SPEAKER_08]: The goal this year is to be better in game 30 than you are in game 1.
[SPEAKER_08]: And there is nothing.
[SPEAKER_08]: in my mind that is going to keep me from being confident that that's going to happen.
[SPEAKER_08]: Especially the ACC stinks.
[SPEAKER_08]: Thank Boston College is awful.
[SPEAKER_08]: Georgia Tech is awful.
[SPEAKER_08]: Stanford is bad.
[SPEAKER_08]: Cal is bad.
[SPEAKER_08]: They're going to be able to rack up some wins.
[SPEAKER_08]: I still think they're going to be a 500 basketball team.
[SPEAKER_08]: But when you're going against teams that are, again, they're doing the exact same thing as you in Georgia.
[SPEAKER_08]: And Texas A and M, it's not going to be pretty at times because A, they know what to expect and B, they've been doing it for longer.
[SPEAKER_08]: So it's going to take time.
[SPEAKER_08]: They play Houston tomorrow.
[SPEAKER_08]: I'll be there for it.
[SPEAKER_08]: It's going to be my first time seeing these guys in person.
[SPEAKER_08]: I'm super excited for it.
[SPEAKER_08]: I'm super excited to see what they're doing in person.
[SPEAKER_08]: but it's gonna be a weird one because Houston plays sloppy, they play slow, they want games to be 64 to 50.
[SPEAKER_08]: And four to say it's like, hey, we want every game to be in the 90s, basically.
[SPEAKER_08]: It's gonna take time for this to develop.
[SPEAKER_08]: And hey, they don't have the center.
[SPEAKER_08]: They wanted this year.
[SPEAKER_08]: Igor Rice-Hoffel is unable to come over because of a visa issue.
[SPEAKER_08]: He would have solved a lot of issues down low for this team.
[SPEAKER_08]: And they just don't have that option right now.
[SPEAKER_08]: So the other things that I wish they were doing differently, yes, but they also realized that we're not gonna be [SPEAKER_08]: 38% of our three is while shooting 40 of them to be competitive in these games that's they realize that and if they don't hit them They don't hit them, but they're not going to change it.
[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I like about Laox though and that post-game pressure that I listen to He's straightforward with it.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he's pretty transparent and you don't get that at all with Mike.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's a whole 180 man That's why I was like, oh, I'm actually listening to this and I'm I'm intrigued like I feel like okay This is a coach that is you know, we calls that calls it how it is and calls how does you know [SPEAKER_01]: players, the play, how he has to coach, and certain things like that, and you know, understands, you know, defensive woes, it's not good, it's not great, not pretty, and he's very transparent with it.
[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm, I'm a very appreciative, I will see how long that lasts and how long it can go, but he was very, very adamant about, you know, his team and how poorly they played, and I was appreciative of that.
[SPEAKER_01]: You just don't get that from my mobile.
[SPEAKER_01]: He just dulled on him.
[SPEAKER_01]: But there's still things that awesome that they've got to clean up like what needs to what would be the fix like what is there?
[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously the easiest ones like I said shots.
[SPEAKER_08]: You got to make it right now.
[SPEAKER_08]: You just got to make shots.
[SPEAKER_08]: They're shooting like 61% from the free throw line in the last six games.
[SPEAKER_08]: I'm like that.
[SPEAKER_09]: How do you?
[SPEAKER_09]: just put the ball in the basket.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, sometimes it's just you got to see the ball go in, sometimes, you know, that was the one thing I was ever good at in basketball shooting.
[SPEAKER_08]: Sometimes you just got to see the first one go through and it makes things a lot easier.
[SPEAKER_08]: It's, it's, yes, they could put in extra hours in the gym and I can guarantee you they are because Lox is not happy with this free throw performance recently.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_08]: I guarantee he's making them shoot some extra free throws and running laps and [SPEAKER_08]: doing all the things that you would expect the coach to do when they're shooting this poorly.
[SPEAKER_08]: That's really the biggest thing.
[SPEAKER_08]: A lot of people are pointed to defensive issues.
[SPEAKER_08]: Their defense comes from making shots on offense and being able to set their defense and set their presses and set their traps.
[SPEAKER_08]: They're not able to do that when you're shooting 25% from 3 in forestry games.
[SPEAKER_08]: And those those three are leading to lawn rebounds, which is easier transition opportunities and they have one person back in defense because they like to crash the glass and trying to get some extra positions on offense.
[SPEAKER_08]: It's all working together.
[SPEAKER_08]: If they're making shots, the defense will look a lot better.
[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, well, you'll be there on hand on site.
[SPEAKER_01]: Got tons of content coming to you guys.
[SPEAKER_01]: And they'll get me dot com for this basketball season.
[SPEAKER_01]: And of course, here on here this spear.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to do a couple of quick hitters here before we go to early signing day as well, because there was a lot to talk about there as well.
[SPEAKER_01]: But Darrell Jackson, he did announce that he's entering the NFL draft.
[SPEAKER_01]: He was out of eligibility anyways.
[SPEAKER_01]: So there's no shocker there at all, but he has made his announcement there.
[SPEAKER_01]: Y'all stops on his career for state.
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I'm sorry.
[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't mean to do it like that, but that's crazy.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like I'm sorry.
[SPEAKER_01]: What?
[SPEAKER_01]: I won't sack this year.
[SPEAKER_08]: That's just not enough.
[SPEAKER_01]: Now I'll lead it off to you guys.
[SPEAKER_01]: Dustin Austin, you have the you have the four.
[SPEAKER_08]: That's not what his role was supposed to be.
[SPEAKER_01]: Especially this man.
[SPEAKER_01]: I know.
[SPEAKER_01]: I know double team double team machine and Dirk Nadi has last season who took on a lot of double teams VZ.
[SPEAKER_08]: If that's a six or six, six, six, six, six, six, six.
[SPEAKER_08]: He had four defensive Lyme and down, though, not three.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, look at Robert Cooper's stats for your real quick.
[SPEAKER_01]: Big Cooper, my guy, Robert Cooper.
[SPEAKER_08]: And not he had a lot better town around him, too.
[SPEAKER_01]: He did, he did.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, absolutely.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, there's not anybody else.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you can, well, you don't, well, you don't think Daniel Lyme's.
[SPEAKER_01]: We talking about these.
[SPEAKER_09]: He was, he was fine.
[SPEAKER_09]: No.
[SPEAKER_09]: We're both pretty good, but, you know, Darrell Jackson opposing offense or we're basically like if we put two or three bodies on this guy, no one else on that defense is going to be able to do enough consistently to beat us and they weren't wrong, I mean for to say they got practically nothing from their defensive in unit this season, I think you could have just not block James Williams and it's still what it mattered.
[SPEAKER_09]: So it was really tough for the defensive front.
[SPEAKER_09]: No.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, don't.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm cut away to the region.
[SPEAKER_08]: I'm just triggered Logan.
[SPEAKER_01]: I wait, we could have a lot of fun.
[SPEAKER_01]: We could have a lot of fun.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's Friday.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's Friday.
[SPEAKER_01]: You can say a lot of things on Friday and it goes right out the window.
[SPEAKER_01]: and it's on the weekend, everybody just have fun.
[SPEAKER_01]: Now, yeah, I mean, when we talk about transform, they've got to do some work there and the edge room for sure.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you feel really strongly.
[SPEAKER_01]: First off, you've got to retain the dis-ears.
[SPEAKER_01]: And definitely, Mandra, you almost won what defensive rookie, but that year.
[SPEAKER_08]: That was crazy, by the way.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, well, that also, too, [SPEAKER_01]: Jerry Wilson being on the honorable mention and your bro roles isn't not anywhere mentioned anywhere on those ACC accolades is absolutely The phone re-silling us last of me as my guy Steven A Smith would say that is people are not watching That is insane over your bro roles There's had no obstatiate I guess I [SPEAKER_09]: Dimitri me as well call a score a white honorable mention.
[SPEAKER_01]: Again, us he played a layer map all I will remember now sadly the only thing I remember to score a white about was the one catch you had earlier in the season gets Alabama, but sadly and nothing.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's all I remember.
[SPEAKER_09]: There's a really the only two impact plays that he made this season unfortunately.
[SPEAKER_09]: One good one.
[SPEAKER_09]: very bad.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but anyways, they're all Jackson.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's headed to NFL draft and, you know, he is the one thing about him.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's a crazy specimen of a bean, but I still want my defense attack on to get more than one sack.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sorry.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'd [SPEAKER_01]: I'm sorry if he's your star he was literally your star on defense going into the season and that was my big question mark if he was going to be being and like more than an impactful player for you and you know I understand he takes on two bodies takes on two at some point that you got to the quarterback right not just one time and you're expecting a lot more from him because you don't have anybody else now like you said.
[SPEAKER_01]: Next to him, there's not a lot of help there for you, and I totally understand that.
[SPEAKER_01]: I understand that part of it.
[SPEAKER_01]: And that might just be what you're going to get out of this scheme and total Florida state is able to bring in some defensive tackle talent that can be absolutely menaces to offensive line and to get to the backfield.
[SPEAKER_01]: But I mean, I, you know, who knows, maybe a team and the league is able to get some stuff out of there like, you know, [SPEAKER_01]: for like a guy like Vita Veia, who's in Vita Veia is a different animal.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, guy, but, you know, Derek Notty still haven't success too.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's over there with the cheese right now and he's got three super bowls as well.
[SPEAKER_01]: Vita Veia is very successful.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's, I think, second for the bucks and sacks and he always takes on two guys what he's still able to find the quarterback.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like that's a thing.
[SPEAKER_01]: I am interested to see if where things go for him at the next level.
[SPEAKER_01]: But, yeah, and they've got a lot of work too [SPEAKER_01]: defensive line room with Terrence Knight moving forward when we talk about the transfer portal.
[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see how it plays out.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, VZ, I know you probably got to head out and just a minute, a year quick thoughts on early signing day for the state ranked number 14th in the country per two four seven sports.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if we want to [SPEAKER_01]: What do you want to say before someone comes into you in the comments?
[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, I said earlier like why are you taking 32 freshmen in a must-win year?
[SPEAKER_09]: 30 freshmen, 2 jukos.
[SPEAKER_08]: Okay, my point.
[SPEAKER_09]: Come on, get that right.
[SPEAKER_08]: Either way, you're maybe getting three of those guys playing meaningful snaps next year and a year where you have to win.
[SPEAKER_08]: You have to win eight or nine games out of minimum.
[SPEAKER_08]: And you're bringing in 32 players.
[SPEAKER_08]: I just I don't get that strategy.
[SPEAKER_08]: Like I get people want this this staff to recruit and develop, but you have to win football games next year.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I was going to say the one good thing the one positive out of this, they did not lose their top guy in the class.
[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, I'd hope they wouldn't really have that got a Florida state tattoo six months ago, like that'd be embarrassing to lose that one.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, wood, but.
[SPEAKER_01]: D-Loo, you're all over this.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, there was a few surprise not saying that they're going to be a astonishing one, one.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, there was a huge, what international, two international guys coming in this class, but one big dude from New Zealand.
[SPEAKER_01]: It was absolutely massive, what three, three, how much?
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, three, seventy, six, seven.
[SPEAKER_01]: Big-time project player for you of an offensive tackle from New Zealand and then of course you're really happy about the grab of that top linebacker as well Because you need help in the linebacker room for God Almighty You need help at the second level your defense, but you're overall thoughts on this group and then now bring up my nervous quote That he said on it [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, like I said, quantity over quality for for Florida State in the tribe 26 class, but considering the state of the last two years, and especially, you know, throughout Mike Norvel's tenure, they've had some struggles closing during the early sun and beard and losing top guys right before they're set to put pin to paper.
[SPEAKER_09]: You can probably call it a solid day for Florida State.
[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, you had 29 verbal commitments entering the day, great what a sign, all of those guys held off some late pushes, Jalen Anderson, the number one Jukeau defensive end in this class of Louisiana native, Florida State landed him last month, and LSU recently turned up the heat.
[SPEAKER_09]: He got an offer when on a visit there and, [SPEAKER_09]: Since Lane Kiffin was hired, they were talking with him trying to get him into their class.
[SPEAKER_09]: He decided to stick with Florida State, which was big and then same thing with Xavier Tiller, Forestar, Tyden.
[SPEAKER_09]: He was receiving some interest from other schools and stuck with the seminals and then on top of that, you're able to add three new guys to the fold, three star defensive in J.M.
[SPEAKER_09]: and Pinkney, which he's a Forestar on 247, but a composite three star heat flips from [SPEAKER_09]: for to stay eighted there by Alex Golos going ahead and taking that head coaching job at Auburn.
[SPEAKER_09]: So they swoop in, take him at the last minute.
[SPEAKER_09]: You know, you brought up the international guy.
[SPEAKER_09]: Same kind of situation there where coaching change benefits for to stay.
[SPEAKER_09]: He, Nico Heppie was committed to Auburn.
[SPEAKER_09]: For since the summer, they made that change, brought in Golos.
[SPEAKER_09]: And he started looking elsewhere for to stay.
[SPEAKER_09]: They had that previous relationship.
[SPEAKER_09]: and were able to get him in the class.
[SPEAKER_09]: He was the first sign he announced on Wednesday morning and the one that really came out of nowhere.
[SPEAKER_09]: You know, we talked about this guy back during the offseason, three star defensive and Cameron Brooks out of Thomasville and, you know, he had previously eliminated Fortistate from his recruitment fortistated, moved on as well.
[SPEAKER_09]: and we're looking at other options.
[SPEAKER_09]: Cal fires their head coach last month, Cameron Brooks decommits on the same day, he went on an official visit to Tennessee last week, and I believe seemed like the volunteers didn't push too hard.
[SPEAKER_09]: And Brooks was still looking for a home during the early signing period for the state got in late contact.
[SPEAKER_09]: We're able to secure him which is big because Cameron Brooks grew up in FSU fan But seemed like he was a little bit turned off by the way four to state operated on the recruiting trail This cycle wasn't getting maybe as much communication as he thought he should as a local prospect Either way, you know, those guys four to state and Brooks circle back on one another and now he's coming into the class had 14 and a half tackles for lost ten and a half sex as a senior and [SPEAKER_09]: I think five defensive ends in this class for four to say to bring in some guys who try and upgrade the trenches which were a major disappointment off the edge this year and especially with Anderson coming in like I said number one Juico defensive end I think that's a guy that'll probably make an impact for you immediately.
[SPEAKER_09]: But, you know, a lot of these guys are going to take some time to develop for Florida State, but I do like the depth that they added at wide receiver.
[SPEAKER_09]: Like I said, I mentioned the defensive line.
[SPEAKER_09]: You've got some good bodies coming in at linebacker.
[SPEAKER_09]: We'll see four star linebacker.
[SPEAKER_09]: Isaiah Williams was four to say second highest rated sign E in the class.
[SPEAKER_09]: But he did have an ACL injury as a senior, Mr.
[SPEAKER_09]: Majority, and we'll miss all of his senior season.
[SPEAKER_09]: We'll see how he recovers once he gets to Tallahassee but this guy before pre-entry he was arguably the top linebacker and all of the 2026 Classes mean one of the very best at that position and someone that could develop into a starter and an impact player in Tallahassee if he gets back to that pre-entry form [SPEAKER_09]: But at the same time, I mean, Chonsey Kinnon, you're only signing in the top 100, and I just don't think that there's enough overall talent in this class coming in.
[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, you missed out on a bunch of guys during the summer top targets, and now you're seeing the results.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I like the linebacker pickup there.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's much needed, like you said, it's gonna depend and great run down by you on all of that.
[SPEAKER_01]: But, [SPEAKER_01]: for the linebacker.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think for him the recovery is going to be the big question mark there because like you said highly touted and was class very high.
[SPEAKER_01]: I rated very high and it's class and until that entry and forced state needs all that help they can get man at the linebacker room.
[SPEAKER_01]: It needs to have a full revamp and they relied on a lot of transfers coming in this last season with two some younger guys that they wanted to develop and [SPEAKER_01]: C strides be made of and that just has not been the cage under jump of poochess in that linebacker room and that's where I'm very curious to where, you know, floors say make some staff changes how that affects their moving forward because their needs to be better play there overall and to on the recruiting front as well.
[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of misses that's been the case though for the staff for very long time, certainly.
[SPEAKER_01]: in the lineback room that for some reason has forever haunted Florida State.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like I'm trying to go back to whenever you could say Florida State had, I mean, of course, yes, you can go to Cale and Deloach and take them with them.
[SPEAKER_01]: Those guys held you down and it was just those two guys for the most part and a little bit of DJ Lundy.
[SPEAKER_01]: But for the most part, those guys held it down, but back in the good old days, man, you had some absolute studs at linebacker 4 State did such a great job at that.
[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, bring back Mark Stoops, man.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's free.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's got nothing going on right now, right?
[SPEAKER_01]: He doesn't have a new job, right?
[SPEAKER_09]: Not yet.
[SPEAKER_01]: He knows how to the fine town, give you that man.
[SPEAKER_01]: Mark Stubes knows how to find defensive talent.
[SPEAKER_01]: And that's what helped to bring forced aid national championship on that defensive side of the ball.
[SPEAKER_01]: Specifically, he knew how he knew some talent and knew how to recruit it as well and put some good pieces around.
[SPEAKER_01]: And but forced aid's got to be do better.
[SPEAKER_01]: And line back around and they've got to find some studs.
[SPEAKER_01]: They were able to get Kevin Wend, but you need, grab Kevin Wend this last off season.
[SPEAKER_01]: But he defined another rehaul there and I don't know if they're going to be able to do that with the not the early sine day period, what is the regular sine day, whatever he does, it's in February.
[SPEAKER_09]: I don't know the exact day.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you're not.
[SPEAKER_01]: the guys who are dudes they signed on top to your talents gone so it's gonna be transfer portal and we'll see you know there's that's where it's gonna be interesting we'll do a whole show on this too as well guys where we kind of break down we'll open up the spreadsheet and kind of we'll build out what we think the journal manager's job whoever that is going to be whoever whoever that is we're waiting for you but [SPEAKER_01]: We'll build a little Excel sheet and we'll kind of go through which parts really need to get the most help and where all of those resources are going to be going.
[SPEAKER_01]: How much money is going to be spent on this roster overall, but a lot of this is going to have to go back in the transfer portal for states going to hope that they find some success there.
[SPEAKER_01]: How would you grade, and we'll finish off here, how would you grade off this last class with what you saw on the field product wise?
[SPEAKER_01]: Because we did see a handful of guys, of course we talked about the this year Twins leave you know, we talked about Usame Kroma quite a bit as well, and that we saw some guys get in there and have some early action from our R&U, etc.
[SPEAKER_01]: Where would you place a grade on if you could?
[SPEAKER_01]: And we're still going to see development hopefully from some other guys as they go on throughout their careers.
[SPEAKER_01]: But how would you say?
[SPEAKER_01]: Because I would say for the first time, you were pleased from what you got from this last class because they were impactful players.
[SPEAKER_01]: A handful of them in year one.
[SPEAKER_01]: Tough to say, you really put me on the spot here?
[SPEAKER_01]: I know.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm giving you that as a fun way to end it off.
[SPEAKER_09]: Did I have multiple true freshmen making an impact for you on both sides of the ball?
[SPEAKER_09]: Think I think the grade has held back a little bit by Kevin Wynn, you know, that injury kind of prevented him from seeing a bunch of action this season for four to eight and he ended up registering.
[SPEAKER_09]: But like you said, Chroma was in there a decent amount.
[SPEAKER_09]: um javin bog started some games for four to say chase loft and was involved in the 2D before he had an injury that really said him back.
[SPEAKER_09]: We saw Tation Gelsi out there on offense.
[SPEAKER_09]: Obviously the twins and man drove coming up just short of that ACC defensive rookie of the years from our new getting into the starting lineup.
[SPEAKER_09]: to wreak malery was out there some for four to stay.
[SPEAKER_09]: I'm just scrolling through the list of all the signs.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah Kevin Spary job as Chavez Thompson I mean looks like a solid piece there at center maybe your potential starting center there in 2026.
[SPEAKER_09]: I think I'd give it a I think I'd give it a B plus you know pleasantly surprised from some of the impacts that these guys were able to make especially [SPEAKER_09]: came out of nowhere for a fortestate and I point back, you know, these guys committed to fortestate the day after they got beat, they got the shit beat out of them by no today and they fired all of those coaches like they committed after that game and they stuck with it's time of fortestate and both became [SPEAKER_09]: rotational players throughout this 2025 campaign and definitely bright spots for the futures.
[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, it looks like they both could be starters moving forward before to say, let's, let's stamp a B plus on it.
[SPEAKER_09]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, I, I mean, I'm in that realm.
[SPEAKER_01]: If we got to see a little bit more Kevin win and we were, you know, told by somebody close with the program.
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, he was the one that Andrew and that really hurt him and, you know, [SPEAKER_01]: getting on the field and even getting into practice is some like the really the railroad hem a little bit and has first season which sucks because Kevin when you were hoping that he'd be.
[SPEAKER_01]: One of those guys that you could say would be a rotational one like we are just mentioned with a handful of these guys because I would have maybe helped out a guy like their old jacks and you could wouldn't love to have someone to that would have to take on a couple other bodies to because he's got some really good strength with himself and you got to hope to you know he can get back fully healthy and you see you know potential could be a potential starter for you will have to see how Kevin when does this spring and a fall staying fully healthy but [SPEAKER_01]: That that's the thing.
[SPEAKER_01]: That was your top guy in your class as well.
[SPEAKER_01]: And of course, Usman Kroma Was you know one of your biggest highlights offensively on that side of the ball and a lot of physicality still learning of course You had a fun bullying a that's [SPEAKER_01]: happened when you have a true freshman at running back but you do see the high ceiling there and once he was able to get some things going on his end like there there's some promise there as well but you got to hope to go into your two for a handful of these other guys.
[SPEAKER_01]: You would love for some of these edge defenders to be able to take the next step for like Lejese Harold Island Lee.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like seeing those guys take those steps along with you know [SPEAKER_01]: also to take another step forward.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like that would be huge for this team and with Darrell.
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, they can do that.
[SPEAKER_01]: Then, you know, you feel even more solid about this room.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think overall, Dilo.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_09]: I agree with that.
[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, the future.
[SPEAKER_09]: It looks pretty solid for Florida state in the trenches.
[SPEAKER_09]: And, you know, if those guys like the Jesse Harold, Thailand Lee, some of those younger players can take the next step this offseason, we'll see how a Murray Williams continues to progress there off the edge.
[SPEAKER_09]: You know, I do wonder, is for to say going to keep him there at defensive end, or are they going to try and experiment with moving him back to [SPEAKER_09]: Tighten, considering you could have some losses there, you know, we'll see what Randy Pittman Jr decides to do with his future, Marquis and Douglas, out of eligibility, not for to say they did sign two tight ends in this 2026 class, and maybe that does keep at Mario Williams on defense, but, you know, some guys, they're going to need to mature and go up this offseason and take the right steps to get for to say in a position for 2026.
[SPEAKER_01]: 100% lot of stuff going on and I'm sure we'll have a ton more D-Loo and I'll probably be live for you guys another afternoon show next week Hands up [SPEAKER_09]: did want to add one final thing is Mike Norville currently speaking to the media about the the tribe 26 signing class also commenting on some other things but he was asked about Tommy Castlano's waiver being denied and said his waiver was denied.
[SPEAKER_09]: I know Tommy is going through his process of fighting for opportunity.
[SPEAKER_09]: We support Tommy and being able to explore all things that he [SPEAKER_09]: and he was also asked about the quarterback position at four to state could go to the transfer portal.
[SPEAKER_09]: He said, we're going to move forward for what we believe is best for the competitive aspect of the position, whatever that means.
[SPEAKER_09]: He's excited about the room and they're going to evaluate and see they're going to evaluate what they need to do to try and compete for a championship next year.
[SPEAKER_01]: Hmm, okay, so trying to just go through some of these comments, I mean, the first one about Tommy, they're obviously very interested and bringing him to me.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it has to be leaning that way where they're interested in bringing Tommy back for 2026.
[SPEAKER_01]: And we went on a pretty deep dive into that earlier on in the show.
[SPEAKER_01]: If you're just now joining us, I highly suggest.
[SPEAKER_01]: Once this is over, scrub all the way to the beginning of the show.
[SPEAKER_01]: The quarterback room and Tommy, and you know, I think all of our takes on here is you got to probably, you got to move on, you got to move on, try to find another quarterback.
[SPEAKER_01]: Now, not saying that this is solidified that this is going to happen, because right now the way where I guess was denied, but they are going to, for certainly, try to find that appeal, and see if they can try to bring him back, do you, Lou?
[SPEAKER_01]: But then, but I think even further than I think about Gus Malzon, [SPEAKER_01]: That's the thing.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm surprised we haven't gotten an answer on that.
[SPEAKER_01]: That would be probably one of the first things that we would learn outside of the dismissals from these coaches right from David Johnson, not saying that they've Johnson dismissed, but he's looking at the Arkansas job and then paths are taken.
[SPEAKER_01]: I thought we would hear from [SPEAKER_01]: maybe coming back.
[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe we'll see.
[SPEAKER_01]: Let's, let's hold on early.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's early.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's very early.
[SPEAKER_01]: But that's the thing with this program.
[SPEAKER_01]: You don't, there's no, there's no plan.
[SPEAKER_09]: I don't want to say, maybe coming back yet, you know, I think, maybe both parties are probably evaluating their options at the moment for Gus.
[SPEAKER_09]: Is there anything even out there, you know, a majority of the head coaching positions have been filled.
[SPEAKER_09]: There were rumors that he interviewed for the Arkansas job as well as the U.A.B.
[SPEAKER_09]: job.
[SPEAKER_09]: I believe in both of those of I was leaving and filled what he want to go be an O.C.
[SPEAKER_09]: somewhere elsewhere.
[SPEAKER_09]: There's also the possibility that he just decides to retire with how long that he's been in the game.
[SPEAKER_09]: You know, I don't think Ford estate is looking to necessarily dismiss Gus Malzon.
[SPEAKER_09]: But I don't think the Seminoles would be very beaten up if he did decide to leave the program just based off what I've heard over the last couple days.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think it'd be a mutual kind of thing between both parties.
[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll see.
[SPEAKER_01]: But that was mine about talking about the class.
[SPEAKER_01]: And of course, the regular fighting for national championships and such, and it's the kind of same thing.
[SPEAKER_01]: Crazy statement to make.
[SPEAKER_09]: You've got half the games as you did in 2023 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, no, it's the same old same old we can't harp on it much anymore, but like I was mentioned before, we were gonna hop off we'll be live with you guys early next week I would imagine probably at this rate with a lot of stuff moving around and parts happen and We'll jump into probably a Monday show for you guys, but if you're also new here, definitely that subscribe button, so then you will see [SPEAKER_01]: us go live also to when you hit subscribe and hit that bell to because when you hit that bell at alert you and it gives you notification when we do go live because there will be breaking news there will be things like this there will be things where dust and I will hop on and you know if it's just uh transfer portal staff changes anything imaginable to Florida state will probably be jumping on here and doing quite a bit of these live videos and also to answering any questions [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we got a long and busy offseason for this four state football program after not reaching another ballgame two years in a row, but that's going to do for us.
[SPEAKER_01]: We were definitely doing our loads.
[SPEAKER_01]: Shout out, Los.
[SPEAKER_01]: Would Los say.
[SPEAKER_01]: You said you guys are the best.
[SPEAKER_01]: Shout out, Los Carlos wins.
[SPEAKER_01]: Our guy.
[SPEAKER_01]: Our guy.
[SPEAKER_09]: Well.
[SPEAKER_09]: latest out of the press conference, Mike Norville expects both Tony White and Ghost Miles on to be back with the program.
[SPEAKER_01]: We're not getting off this show.
[SPEAKER_01]: We're not getting off this show, ladies and gentlemen.
[SPEAKER_01]: We are not off this show.
[SPEAKER_01]: We are not off this show.
[SPEAKER_01]: We're not a long show today.
[SPEAKER_01]: And we have over 300 of you guys.
[SPEAKER_01]: So I am not complaining whatsoever if you guys hanging out with us.
[SPEAKER_01]: Didn't think we'd have [SPEAKER_01]: expecting to have both their coordinators back for twenty twenty six.
[SPEAKER_09]: It's Tommy time.
[SPEAKER_01]: It was ready for Tommy two point.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I mean, you got to get the sayings all put together here.
[SPEAKER_01]: There's new November.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what it was going into the season.
[SPEAKER_01]: I remember Tommy did say that he was going to save a lot of coaching jobs and everything going into this year.
[SPEAKER_01]: I guess he's saving gusses.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
[SPEAKER_01]: four-day of Johnson had to.
[SPEAKER_09]: Hey, he made sure my good enough here.
[SPEAKER_01]: Shut up, honey.
[SPEAKER_01]: So there you have.
[SPEAKER_01]: And I mean, things can obviously change in such but that's coming from my nerveld that he does expect for Gus Mouson to come back.
[SPEAKER_01]: next year.
[SPEAKER_01]: I was leaning like I said earlier.
[SPEAKER_01]: I was leaning on Tony White for sure and there are some things this year where you could certainly be critical.
[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely.
[SPEAKER_01]: Definitely early on in the season and a lot of points for being given up and look like guys.
[SPEAKER_01]: There is still effort but bad tackling and...
[SPEAKER_01]: kind of just they definitely didn't want to play ball against Florida, which was really disappointing to see on that side and Florida absolutely outman them and physicality wanted more and had way more juice and just moved you around and did whatever the hell they wanted to do definitely with that running back that they had no plan for whatsoever which that was going to be the only plan that you had to do going into the game a stop that one guy.
[SPEAKER_01]: He weren't going [SPEAKER_01]: but you weren't prepared to stop the running back that you knew he was going to reach probably a hundred yards if you couldn't do anything about it and they didn't do anything close to do anything about it.
[SPEAKER_01]: But now does he need better personnel?
[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely.
[SPEAKER_01]: He had to work with what he had and what was already on this roster coming into this year.
[SPEAKER_01]: Did he get a few pieces?
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, a little bit.
[SPEAKER_01]: But [SPEAKER_01]: Um, that not enough and you're hoping that with this new hall of the recruiting class and whatever they end up doing the transfer policy, a more consistent better product on the field on the defensive side of the ball, what Tony White, but now, you know, you're going to be looking for a new defensive backs coach, mainly at your corner position, you're going to keep having Cooper I guess at the safeties.
[SPEAKER_01]: Spod and we'll see where John Pupuchus is.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if he was [SPEAKER_01]: You know, the future for, for, for poo just in the lineback room, D-Loo while you're swimming through some of the tweets, but there's still a lot of things that, you know, Tony White, and I'm going to have to find some answers on on the defensive side of the ball.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, we've already hit on a lot today, but then to go and over to the offense.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't, I don't, I don't.
[SPEAKER_01]: think that's the best route for you, for an immediate, another immediate fix part two.
[SPEAKER_01]: I just don't deal with, I don't know, I mean, we spoke it on earlier, but now it's becoming close to official feels like, and they're gonna really fight to have Tommy Cassana's come back for another season.
[SPEAKER_01]: I just, I think it's bad, I think it's bad.
[SPEAKER_09]: I don't love it and you're going to replace all five of your starting offensive lineman.
[SPEAKER_09]: Obviously, you know, we expect Deuce Robinson to probably declare for that 2026 NFL draft.
[SPEAKER_09]: So I mean, you're right back to having to find guys at wide receiver, you know, well, the running back rotation be a little bit smarter next season with Gus back, who knows, you know, as far as the defense, I thought, [SPEAKER_09]: The last couple games they started to show some progress, but the effort and how they played against Ford.
[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, that was simply damning, you know, the gators.
[SPEAKER_09]: They told you that they were just going to run that running back for the entire, I mean, he had 38 freaking carries.
[SPEAKER_09]: This guy.
[SPEAKER_09]: They told you what they were going to do.
[SPEAKER_09]: And I mean, for every snap, they had no chance of stopping.
[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, that was very embarrassing.
[SPEAKER_09]: And, you know, maybe that unit can get better if Tony White's able to get his own guys.
[SPEAKER_09]: They got a couple of his own guys.
[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, he had coached Jerry Wilson previously, major bus.
[SPEAKER_09]: He had coached James Williams and had him follow fall him over from Nebraska for to say, major bus.
[SPEAKER_09]: So I'm not, I'm not convinced that it's all just getting more talent into the building.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: There's there's a lot of question marks.
[SPEAKER_01]: And two, you know, we can all, well, you can talk about the pros and cons of keeping your two coordinators going [SPEAKER_01]: couple pros and there, but I think you have more con certainly an offensive side of the ball.
[SPEAKER_01]: I had just, I don't know how you're going to get some first off a top tier quarter.
[SPEAKER_01]: I let's say the Tommy thing doesn't get the appeal, doesn't get the waiver cleared, whatever accepted.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's gone.
[SPEAKER_01]: Then you're, I guess, going to roll with Kevin Sparey and rely on what you get out of the transfer portal.
[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't think you're going to get a top tier.
[SPEAKER_01]: And when we talk about tier one, quarterback one that can really throw the ball and get the ball to a lot of your town.
[SPEAKER_01]: Because I think there's a lot of young, why does he return to you on this team?
[SPEAKER_01]: And they can certainly do some more work in the transfer portal like they did with Duce Robinson.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think Duce Robinson should come back next.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think so.
[SPEAKER_01]: Be selfish, man.
[SPEAKER_01]: Take care of you.
[SPEAKER_01]: and go to league man and I you'll be a stud definitely two when you have a quarterback they can throw a better you are going to excel there's still some things that he's got to clean up with some drops and whatever but he was a guy that was able to make you know Tommy Castle I was like a little bit better with on the on air because he was able to make some crazy grabs and contested areas that you know some whiter see where shouldn't be making [SPEAKER_01]: really, really, really good quarterback.
[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't see that happening with that.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think you're going to get top talent and then the wider C-room as well with that.
[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I'm saying?
[SPEAKER_09]: And I mean, you got a pony up the money for these guys in this day and age.
[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, every year, the markets going up, it's getting more expensive to bring in quality quarterbacks and order state if they don't want to pay.
[SPEAKER_09]: I'm not exactly sure.
[SPEAKER_09]: the exact figure that DJ and Tommy both received from Ford estate, but it was certainly 1.2 mil or less.
[SPEAKER_09]: And you know, that's peanuts compared to the amount that top quarterback, tele-transportal, are making it in this day and age.
[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, we saw what Cam Ward got from Miami.
[SPEAKER_09]: We saw what Carson Begg got from Miami.
[SPEAKER_09]: Some of these other guys around the country as well.
[SPEAKER_09]: I've gotten massive multimillion dollar deals.
[SPEAKER_09]: For one season to go to a school to try and help that program turn things back around for to say they just haven't made that financial commitment and I'm not sure honestly I mean which top transfer quarterback Prospect is going to come to a program that's seven and seventeen over on the last two years and with a head coach that's fighting for his job Yeah, and that I think about that all the time and I think about that all the time like if I'm the parent I was talking to my dad.
[SPEAKER_01]: I was like dad if you know if I'm [SPEAKER_01]: recruit and I'm getting recruited by Florida State and such and then I've got another program like let's just even say you know let's just say you all right it's it's Alabama so how [SPEAKER_01]: We're, I mean, it's, it's quite simple, man.
[SPEAKER_01]: And definitely whenever you see, you know, Mike on the sideline and just things that are being sent to press conferences and then, you know, the future being held now at these coordinators, I just don't see where my dad is sitting in me to Florida State right now.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's a thing that this staff has to come back with on the recruiting trail.
[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see how, how well they can do that now in the transfer portal, because that that recruiting window is practically over with.
[SPEAKER_09]: And I actually had the parent of a five-star prospect in the 28th, believe the 20-28 class quote one of my tweets the other day and say, I'm sad that I can't talk with my son about him going to Florida today.
[SPEAKER_01]: I do remember that being out there on Twitter.
[SPEAKER_01]: See in that.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's rough.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's rough.
[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't blame them.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't that are absolutely don't blame a parent right now for questioning at least, you know, where this program is headed if I, you know, one or, you know, bring my son here and play football.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's just, just, [SPEAKER_01]: And so it's rough state where four state is at overall.
[SPEAKER_01]: So like I said, we'll see what they do in the transfer portal and you know, there's some some breaking stuff all throughout this show with us this afternoon didn't think we'd have an hour and a half show, but we appreciate y'all hanging out with us.
[SPEAKER_01]: If you're still hanging out, we got over 300 of y'all here on.
[SPEAKER_01]: YouTube still and we've got a lot of y'all on Twitter and Facebook as well.
[SPEAKER_01]: Shout out to you guys, but smack the like button down if you're on YouTube.
[SPEAKER_01]: We'd appreciate almost 100 likes to over there.
[SPEAKER_01]: Definitely thank you guys for hanging out with us like I said.
[SPEAKER_01]: D-Loo and I will probably be back on here with you guys to our regular Monday afternoon shows at 1230.
[SPEAKER_01]: So tune in with us then we hope to see you guys and hope you enjoy the rest of y'all's weekend.
[SPEAKER_01]: We got tons of content to come in at nogamy.com for you guys as well.
[SPEAKER_01]: Y'all enjoy the rest of y'all's weekend.
[SPEAKER_01]: Talk to you next week.
[SPEAKER_01]: Peace.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
