Speaker 3

That is NBA y'all Start twenty twenty five.

Speaker 2

That is an NBA All Defensive team that you know, our honor to the most but most importantly, let's give a shout out to my boy Jayleen Williams man NBA Champion twin twenty five.

How you doing, brother, man, I'm good.

Speaker 5

I'm about as good as you can.

Speaker 3

Be as you should.

Man, Man, what I we got you on out the mud man.

Speaker 2

Obviously we're gonna get to the y'all Championship toasts in that champagne y'all with popping if I just really want to know how it was growing up and give whatever so hot.

Speaker 5

Yeah it was cool though, like it's really not like a lot going on.

My parents are military, so I grew up on the base.

Actually, like look at force base out there, So I used to like go there with my dad really early in the morning before school.

Me and little brow would shoot and then go to school.

Hey, you practice and then just do the same thing all the time.

Speaker 3

So you was you was used to the repetition of things and just like structure.

Speaker 5

Yeah, I grew up like structure, like we gonna wake up at this time, do this, and like have a plan like make your bed all that.

Speaker 3

Yeah, was it any?

Was it any other interests that that you know to grab your attention while you was coming up in this.

Speaker 5

Brouh Definitely not like anything but basketball.

I never tried to play another support.

I didn't Cody grew up trying to play like t ball and like football.

Yeah, yeah, strictly basketball.

Speaker 2

Strictly basketball.

What was some of your what was like who was some of the people that you watched from coming up?

Because your game, I ain't gonna lie the way you play.

I want to know like early, like who was some of those moves you took from players.

Speaker 5

At a young age?

Because I grew late.

I was a huge Kobe fan.

But I'm watching Kobe shoot fadeaways, I'm like, I ain't doing that.

So it was like I just watched a ton of people.

One was like probably like nobody really knows like Andre Miller low key, Oh, my dad was kind of a fan of that Dra Miller.

That was that was a big one for me.

I like Tim Mack a lot too.

Speaker 2

So when you say Drake Miller, you know, Drake Miller got that game.

Well, I ain't ast as everybody, but I could get to my spots.

I could get you in the position where you got a compromise whether you let me shoot and and always and respect to him.

So you're saying that when I see a game now, I could probably see a few times when you put players in that blender Man.

Speaker 3

So you know, big shout Drake.

That's that's the real actually seen him.

Speaker 5

I actually just met him like the first time.

I think I played against his son in high school too.

Oh yeah, so I just met him out here for the first time.

But yeah, that was somebody I grew up watching, like just pace and like I said, like I was short up until college, so like that was like some of that looked pace wise to just play.

Speaker 3

Like you talked about growing up on their force.

Speaker 2

So obviously your parents, you know, were involved in and you're like, unfortunately, you know, God, like myself, you know, I wasn't able to have both parents and can you talk about to me because uh, you know, just being able to have that structure, like you said, and that foundation to help you with your you know grow friend being the basketball players with.

Speaker 5

Yeah, I think as a kid, like my parents were pretty strict and I didn't really I didn't really appreciate it as much as I should have until I got like on my own, until I got to like college, and I was like with a roommate and I was like, oh, I need like the room to be clean, like I need to make my bed, like I was never late for anything.

And that's when I started to like pick back up on like how important it was that they were both like good to me that way.

And I say strict and not like I didn't have like I wasn't like saluting my parents and stuff like that going through things.

But it's just like yes, ma'am no, sir, like that, I think grown up.

That just gave me like a lot of structure and then just like taking care of school first and like doing that, Like having both with them in my life is something that I don't take for granted because, like you said, like not everybody gets that opportunity, and I I think it served me well.

Speaker 6

Swear I still say, yes, ma'am no, certain, it's.

Speaker 5

Like a habit, like it's just like ingrained in like my DNA feeling.

Speaker 7

Man, shout out, shout out to your parents.

Man raising a good young man like you.

You got a brother, he played two in the league at Utah.

I think that's just man, that's amazing.

But like, how was what y'all growing up?

I know you a couple of years older than him.

Speaker 2

Yeah, man, who won them battles in the backyard?

I don't want I want to hear that.

Speaker 3

Don't be.

Speaker 5

I know who want them back?

We don't know who.

We like shooting competitions, so like you didn't or like workout competitions because like if I'm I was like I was telling you, like if I'm fourteen and he eleven, that's such a like that's high school and like a little cay cause were like three and a half years apart.

So I always felt kind of weird, like if we're playing ones and I'm frying him, I'm like he not really getting a lot out of it.

Where it's like if we're going at it during this workout, like but I think that I'm busting the workout more than I'm like playing on one on one thing.

Speaker 3

Yeah barbecue.

Speaker 5

I'm looking at my dad like I'm not I'm not bro like you're not gonna get it worked out cool, like the shooting drills and like you know, I'm obviously talking trash tom while we're doing that, like free throw competitions or like just like anything, like we're gonna run sprints like I'm gonna beat you every time, And like I think that was like just as competitive as like you know, one on one or like doing the whole thing.

Speaker 2

That's big, man, they say, Aaron Shopper, iron Man, just to have that that privilege and man, for both of you guys to you know, be the made it to the league.

My parents are very very proud, man, and that that ship let a lot of people in the real know now Man, Man man structuring them kids, Man, put put them kids in the routine, because when we get in the league.

Bro, you know, Bro, a lot of a lot of us are superstits.

I know I'm superstits.

And the way I played, man and the way I here, Man, I tried to do the same thing every time, so I had it early.

Speaker 6

Bro.

Speaker 3

It's just just let me know you was destined to be a pro.

Bro.

Ain't even front.

Yeah, that's big bro.

Speaker 6

That like you shid just life too.

Life You know what I'm saying.

That's big.

Speaker 7

Like you said, nigga, ain't I ain't had no daddy.

You know, my mama was my daddy.

You know that's that's that's that's real though.

Speaker 6

Man.

Speaker 2

Meanwhile, meanwhile, going in grammar schools and you know, entering high school, how did you choose go to the high school.

Speaker 3

That you went to?

Speaker 5

I was there a process, It was explained that process.

It was close to the crib.

Yeah, to be telling honest, it's like like Perry High School is probably like ten minutes from the crib.

And I used to play the saxophone, so sometimes I would have to like attach it to my bike, and I love he needed somewhere to like that wasn't yeah too far to ride.

Speaker 3

Yeah, that's dope.

Speaker 5

It was like that I was getting like the bus or my dog Andrew used to drive me around everywhere.

So that that was it.

I was high school, but it was I don't know how it came about.

Like we had just moved into Chandler because Luke Air Force Face is far that's like the probably like fifty minutes from Chandler.

So when we moved to Chandler, Perry was right there.

It was recommended close to riding my bike, Like if anything went wrong, like Perry was so close to the crib that I could make something shake to get back to the house and and be able to be around my brother and stuff.

So yeah, it just worked out that it was right there.

Speaker 2

Yeah, let let us know about the AAU circle.

Wait, was you like just the guy to hunt people or were you don't want being hunted?

Speaker 5

Like under the radar.

I was like lowly recruited.

Nobody knew who I was.

I used to play like the n wy to l A thing.

I don't even know if they they still do that, like little circuit, but it's like low key, like there'd be some like like there'd be some killers out there, Like I think the biggest name was probably a DJ Carton.

I think I think he was out there.

I think he's playing in Summerleague now.

Speaker 6

But that was it.

Speaker 5

I was on the DIDA circuit a little bit like that, little like the low the low end of that.

But I was playing in like the back gyms of like stuff with Paul super Man shot my boy.

Yeah, I was low key.

I like high school.

I walked out of high school with like two or three offers and I went from there.

I wasn't like a five star recruiter.

Speaker 3

No, Mickey d No, no, no, none of that.

Speaker 5

Me and Cody got two different high school experiences.

He growing up, he topped ten ah BO.

Speaker 3

Now yeah, yeah, that was a see and it's crazy.

Speaker 2

It's while honest so much because a lot of players man in that situation, Man, they'll give up, they'll quit.

Speaker 3

I'm putting in all this that goddamn work.

Ain't nobody seeing me?

Yeah?

Speaker 2

No.

Speaker 5

It was frustrating and like, like I said, I was waking up early with my dad to go forty minutes to go drive and shoot and then go back to school and then go through.

I played on all three teams too, so I played JV, freshman, varsity, all those I'll do all three practices and then go shoot my dad, go to AU practice and then you know, now standing up to like one am doing homework to do that over and over again.

So it was frustrating.

But me and Cody had two different two different things.

He McDonald's America.

He did the Jordan game and Team USA.

Like he got the cool part.

Speaker 3

Yeah you talk about that.

Speaker 5

Yeah, he did the cool part of high school.

Speaker 7

I was.

Speaker 5

I was more like, I hope I go to school.

I hope I get to go to college.

Yeah.

Speaker 3

It was cool.

Speaker 5

It's cool, like I got to live through Cody for that part.

Speaker 3

Yeah.

Speaker 5

He threw me some gear.

Speaker 6

Yeah here big shoes.

Speaker 1

Yeah.

Speaker 3

Sure.

You saying you killed though?

Speaker 5

Yeah?

Yeah, like twenty five games yeah in high school.

Yeah, I mean I thought I thought even even my junior year, I was.

I was like twenty two in high school.

So that was that was frustrating too.

It's like I'm I'm doing everything like the numbers, Yeah I was.

I think I was close to fifty forty ninety in high school too, all throughout my years, so like I was doing the right thing.

It's just like just kind of just stuck with it until I got to school.

Speaker 7

So what what else our game?

You ain't playing no game senior year or no not even city like all what you call it Taco?

You ain't playing the taco.

Speaker 6

We had America.

Speaker 5

America you send me to I got all winds for the whole month, but I ain't get no Wendy's deal nothing.

I just went straight to say to Clara, I didn't go dig.

Yeah, speak about that though, you know what I'm saying, Santa Clara, like, you know, how did that come about?

It's way simpler of a I wish I had like a fun story, like I really just didn't have like a lot of options that what's the craziest part of my story is the coach that saw me play.

I don't know if y'all been to that gym in l A, but it got like one hundred courts in there.

I was in the back by the bathrooms.

Speaker 3

You're talking about.

Speaker 5

It's like, no, no, no, it's like it's new.

It's like it's like I feel some everybody would know what I'm talking about, but like it probably has like one hundred courts in there.

And I was playing on like court seventy three in the back right of the gym by the bathrooms at a random game.

And Paul actually was like begging Santa Clair's coach to come watch a game, like it's his coach ation, lowig, and he just so happened to be going to his car seeing me stopped and I had forty something in the game, and he watched that game, and I got an offer that weekend, and then I got two more after that from Santa Barbara and Hofstra and so I just narrowed it down after that.

So just them those three yeah, three, yeah, them three totally.

Yeah.

I got like Nevada sent me one and they never talked to me again.

So I never really count that one.

Same thing with Colorado State, so shout out y'all.

You know, like those offers, I don't I don't even really count them because like I never had like a conversation after that.

So but it was really those three schools, all.

Speaker 2

Them coaches five right now, lady, I hope you guys that's funny.

Man, I ain't gonna let it.

Speaker 4

Man.

Speaker 2

You look back and you say, man, you missed out.

But that's the altimod experience.

Man, that's why we got you on here, bro.

Speaker 3

So yeah, I like this.

Speaker 5

Yeah, that story is crazy.

Bro.

Every time I think about it, it's like I was like, if you just kept walking, it would be a totally you'd have a totally different outcome of like what's going on?

But I had paused.

It was pretty it's pretty hard to walk with football.

Speaker 7

But that goes out saying that goes to all the kids, keep working.

It don't matter about what's ranking.

All that shit don't matter about you.

Hear him on the best players in the league, twenty four champion, all keep working, he works stack of your days to keep believing in yourself.

Speaker 6

You'll go a prime example.

Speaker 2

Yeah, facts straight up speaking while we're on college, bro, let us know how you feel about today's college you know game, and you know being that you so young and you just right around the corner from that even time the nil circuit, Like, can you explain how you feel?

Speaker 3

How you feel about it?

Speaker 5

Well, it sucks.

I wasn't a part of that.

Speaker 3

They might own you some money.

Speaker 5

Yeah, I don't think.

Speaker 3

They got it.

Speaker 5

After the weekend I had.

I'm good.

I just got my little extension.

Speaker 3

I'm sure.

Speaker 5

Yeah, I mean it's good.

I think the only thing with giving like kids that much money is like you kind of ruin a little bit of like the college experience because like looking at it, for me, it was like low key fun looking back, like some of like my fun stuff was like not having money in college because it's like part of the experience.

Everybody's broken college, so like that that part, and then I just think kind of ruins like a little bit of like wanting to go to the NBA because it's like when I was there, It's like, I don't have money and I don't want to keep asking my parents to like make ends meet to do it.

So it's like my mindset was let's get to the league.

For them, it's more like, let me stay back in school and get money.

And it's like it kind of takes away a little bit of the allure of the NBA, but it's that double sided sword.

It's like, if I know him again, more money in school, I'm going back to school too, and I'm going to get a free education with it.

So it's both.

I don't really have like a firm stance on it, but I think they need to like kind of rein it in a little bit because there's some killers in the NBA that don't get as much money as dudes in college that aren't as good.

So I think there needs to be some type of like.

Speaker 3

Cut off or rule or something maybe incentives.

Speaker 5

Yeah, it's something, because it's like there's just a lot of people that I know that should be in the NBA or making a lot more money and just don't.

And then there's a lot of dues in college that are making a lot of money that I don't.

You know why they ain't really done nothing.

Speaker 2

The reason why I actually on this stance is simply because, like I say, as far as age, just players in college right now, yeah, waiting on it, Yeah in twenty five, twenty six, really taking advantage, but not really taking that chance and actually doing something like you did, you know, leave early and you know, get to the point of where I could actually make two three hundred million dollars.

Yeah, I'm working for some way different than what's actually given to me, like this this a little money.

You see players transferring the portal all the time, chasing that little.

Speaker 5

Bit that's the other thing to the portal.

Yeah, it really is up like the allure of like going to school, Like you have guys that just transfer out for money and then you end up ruining your situation that you already had each other school, but your.

Speaker 3

Home should always be the league, I believe.

Speaker 2

Yeah, and ultimately do what you did at the age that you that you're doing that and speaking for the young fellas, I just think you are you saying that it's strike another fire in them to actually get you know, to the contrace.

Speaker 5

It's doable.

Yeah, it's just hard to tell.

Like somebody eighteen or you know, like you said, like the dudes older than me, like, go make less money when you can get it in school.

Speaker 3

So I do get like both you do it.

Speaker 5

Yeah, I just for me personally, Like even if I was in today's landscape, I think I would have stated at Santa Clara the three years and like try to go to the NBA because that's what like growing up, that's what I wanted to do.

I didn't want to be anything else.

Speaker 7

We take the spunk out of you, gotta keep that fire.

Yeah, like you said, that's all we talked about.

I would just Misty for you.

That's all we talked about.

Every day they rich to pick me up.

He had the first escalet.

We go to McDonald's, get that mc grill.

Speaker 3

I'm leave.

We're going to leave.

Speaker 5

That's what Yeah, yeah, Tony only talked about that.

That was like basketball was like how we locked it.

Obviously, you get older, you start like you know, you start really messing with your brother and like understand each other on a deeper level.

But like growing up, that's what we were doing.

That's why I was not waking up with five m for no reason, but no reason.

Yeah, you know what I mean so that that was me.

That was my mindset with it.

I think I left the year the NIL started, So I could have went back, I wouldn't have made anything new.

Yeah, I had another year.

Speaker 3

Could have broke the back.

Speaker 5

Yeah, was waiting on the other side.

But yeah, yeah, the big man, Yeah, I think it's better than.

So look, I want to ask you though, like just going to Santa Claire, you know Steve Nash went there right now, So Steve Nash went he did you ever get a chance to see him while you were there?

Speaker 3

Or like did he ever play ad?

I don't understanding who you was coming up or.

Speaker 5

I don't want this to sound bad, but no, and it's just like it's just fair.

I think, Yeah, I think Steve's been cool to me, like since though he's like reached out.

He always tells me he's proud of me now.

But like one, I don't really think he would have like known who I was at the time until I had left, just like the way like if anybody kind of knows, like don't me like my process going to the NBA, Like you look, he wouldn't even have known I was in the in the draft combine at some point until I started playing and that's when he started reaching out.

And I think he had just like finished coaching with like Brooklyn, so he had a lot of stuff going on.

And I think the only time I see him at Santa Clara was he like came and talked to us a little bit.

My my freshman year.

Speaker 3

Okay, yeah you did get a chance.

Speaker 5

Yeah I got.

I got a chance to see him and stuff, and he was really cool.

But I just at the time he wouldn't have.

Speaker 3

Known because ain't nobody been drafted from that.

Speaker 5

School since yeah, since before yeah nineties, Yeah that draft.

Yeah it's like thirty something.

Speaker 2

Yeah, man, I said, man, you you break into a lot of areas, man, and the people yea, Man, I ain't gonna laugh just looking at that.

The whole process where you talk about air Force, growing up on al Force, having a discipline not ranked.

We talk about this out the mud thing, man, And I just want to know when did it set in that, you know, like I like, I'm nice, it's about that time me to go to the league.

Speaker 3

Man, this this ship here ain't doing bro.

Speaker 5

My sophomore year was COVID and that summer, going into that season, I thought I was gonna be like I thought I was gonna go to the NBA.

My sophomore year, we had COVID and then I had two Achilles strings, like back to back and that killed it.

And then we only played like ten games, so I was never like really myself.

So then I had I had like basically the exact same summer my junior year where I was like, the game is slow, We're going through practice, and like people that were like guarding me, well, I'm like just like yeah, I'm like not my teammates, I was.

It was just like actice was slow.

Like my coaches started to see it.

Like when I talked to my coaches now, there was like a point during the summer where they were like, yeah, it's probably it's probably gonna be over.

If he has any kind of the year that I had.

It was like practice just got slow, like like I wouldn't say boring, but like I kind of scoringenever, I want the game slowing down.

It's getting easier, like you both know, like obviously going going to the NBA.

It's just a point where like the game just slows down and you kind of need the next step.

And that's what it was for me my junior and that's how it was the whole season because I feel I can just turn it on whenever and do that.

Speaker 2

Who was some of the NBA comparisons that she was having coming in when you was hearing like okay, it's I gotta.

Speaker 5

Leave now, they weren't.

They weren't what would make me leave?

I got like Joe Ingles.

Joe, that's funny, I gotta find yeah you know, but wait, yeah Joe, Yeah, I got Joe Ingles.

So it's funny.

Me and my trainer, Like when I got drafted, he gave me Joe's like trading card for like whatever it was.

But when I got drafted, just like a joke.

But I got like, I think my ceiling was like hardened.

And then like they were saying that, I put like Joe Ingles.

So that was That was my two coming out of college.

Speaker 6

Not bad but left.

Speaker 3

Yeah, you remember those workouts, like how was the process?

Speaker 1

Now?

Speaker 5

I was hunting people in my workouts.

I was trying to figure out like where people like it was coming in.

I had a good draft combine.

I was just kind of looking at who wasn't playing in the combine, and I was like, we're gonna have to play at some point, so I was I was just trying to find whoever and get into workouts and do that.

So I didn't care if the workouts were back to back or like I think I did thirteen of them and I was trying to run them off.

And I was still in school, so I was doing like homework on the plane and trying to finish my thirty year of school because Santa Clair's is a hard school to like academically, so I was like, let me, let me not waste the three years I had.

So I was doing school, and I was just trying to figure ou where everybody was ahead of me, and like yeah on something like Kobe like kill Less, like just swipe through and like see who's there, and yeah.

Speaker 3

Oh you heard that name?

He's doing that.

Man, y'all hear this right being again on out the mud Man.

Speaker 2

We've been hearing a lot going on, man with recipes for the champ to say that to it, yeah fast about the fat time.

Speaker 3

I really honored it, man.

Speaker 5

But my dad started that.

He sent me the like a Kobe video of that where he was like explaining, like high school, how he's like looking at who was right ahead of him.

So that's kind of how I did it.

For like the draft, I'll just see who who's ahead and just basically just show whatever team get.

Speaker 2

See That's why I say you can't.

You can't just listen to how J dub talk.

You're gonna get your ass.

But you hear his man, Yeah he talked proper, but he's gonna bust your ass.

Look that ship been instilled in you too, and you're tellen to me the story while I'm here you right now.

Speaker 5

I love that, bro.

Speaker 2

You really an inspiration.

Bro to out the Mush podcast.

Shout out to here about it back there too, they love this.

Got champ in the building, you know.

Speaker 3

Meanwhile, so let's talk about you know, going to want to shake?

Was it one?

I'm about to say stern back in its seal?

Speaker 6

How was it?

You know?

Speaker 3

Getting to the green room?

Speaker 5

That experience was dope.

It's even honestly, the cooler thing was Cody's draft.

I don't really remember mine.

Speaker 3

You don't know.

Speaker 5

Mine felt like out of body experience.

Like I watched myself walk up to the stage because like my agreement invite was late.

I think Cleveland had like my last work I was Cleveland.

I was on the way to the airport.

Cleveland actually called me back and I did like extra film in there because of the workout.

I had a really good workout, so they called me back from their like while I was on my way to the airport, I had like an extra film session.

I got to New York late, and when I got to New York, I got agreement invite that I didn't expect.

Speaker 3

Who asked you bust that day?

I want, man the NBA.

Speaker 5

Everybody's doing alright, But yeah, it was a good workout.

It was a competitive workout.

Yeah, we did like some film and I honestly thought I was gonna go to Cleveland.

I think they just had a later pick.

But yeah, I got a green room invite, and then from there my agent was just I told them, like, don't tell me anything because I just want to enjoy the experience without like worrying about where I already did all the work.

That was my last workout, so I just went there.

I didn't know about the greenroom invite, which was I think the best thing for me.

So I went in there and like I just waited to hear my name called.

Everybody see like the video where I don't really have a reaction.

I was just so like shocked to hear my name.

So it was like it's crazy out of body experience, Bro, really is.

And then it was like a lot of interviews right after that.

Speaker 2

It was like, so look, Bro, your first year in the league.

Bro, Now you in the league, training camp?

Talk to me about training camp?

Man, your first year?

Speaker 3

How go man?

Speaker 2

And what was your like welcome to the your out the mud moment where you kill and you're welcome to the NBA moments was like, damn, I'm here, somebody.

Speaker 5

Just yo, shout out Darius Baisley.

I got to like Summer League, like before we had workouts, they were already playing because they didn't have like a good year, so everybody kind of already back Bays was killing the fives.

Like I was like, there's no way I play on this team because he like kind of ND, yes, there's Bro.

He was wildent I remember, and he had come off a good year.

Obviously he's been the leading because he's like seventeen.

He in the fives.

Bro.

I was like, I don't know if like I'm really ready for what like is going on.

Just just be told because he was Wilding and there he was wind milling, dunking on people, talking shit like lose the whole thing.

Yeah yeah.

Then like we go to Toronto, we have runs and like it's lou I can't get over screens during like the training camp, and then there's like training camp kind of clicked.

I started getting used to speed, and that's when I was like, Okay, it's a smooth and then trying to think my welcome to the NBA moment.

Speaker 2

Somebody can put you in the block Tomato chest, you want the way up, watch will watch out, look at it.

Speaker 5

I got a couple of play.

Speaker 3

KD.

Speaker 5

Kd's giving me my show.

Actually I'm making really quick.

I remember Kawhi had a bad I think there's like a clip where Lou like didn't even let him get a shot off.

At the end.

He was with the he still was with the Clippers.

But we played Clippers.

We beat the Clippers quite a horrible game.

I did a good job, Guarden, so I'm juice.

But we played them back to back.

He started the game out nine for nine on me.

We go back to the huddle of Mark, like Mark, this is funny.

Mark.

Everybody don't know.

Mark says slick stuff.

He's like, he's busting your ass jail and we need to switch.

I looked at him, I was like, yeah, yeah, So Kawhi had nine for nine and Lou on him and Quie ended up like having thirty something.

Clay I was playing the defense on him a whole night.

He hit one from behind the backboard and as just going in, he slapped me on my butt.

Good try rook wow.

KD coming back to he hadn't played OKAC in a little bit, and he came back to okay see and he was wild and fans chirping at him, and you know, KD like talked back.

He talking to the fan while he bumping me.

Oh that's shooting over me.

It was horrible, Broo, like welcome to the NBA.

Moments that were like that were bad, that was not fun to be That's interesting.

And then just just to see that, you know what I'm saying.

Around that time, the organization y'all was rebuilding.

Yeah you want to figure it out?

Yeah, talk to us about.

Speaker 2

That rebuilding process, bro and and staying down to you know, staying down till you come up as a saying.

So it's like it sounds so cliche, but to be a part of some stay down until you come up and when at will go Bro tell to us about that process.

Speaker 3

And being in Oklahoma City.

Speaker 5

We have a good organization like that that's willing to stick with it.

That's the first part.

Like if the organization is pretty open what's going on, I feel like it just lets you kind of play.

And I wouldn't even say like our down for me at least, wasn't bad.

They had some bad years before I was there, but our year wasn't like that bad.

You know, we played in the plan so we have a chance to go to the playoffs, which they didn't really expect.

So we kind of had the pieces we didn't have chet yet and then check come in and now we're the first seed.

Like that was more of the jump than like kind of standing down.

It was more like everybody in the buildings like kind of shocked, Like we're beating teams that are beating us by twenty last year, and we're beating them by twenty.

So it's more like, how do we like hone this in and like get the experience because now we're first.

It's not like we're like fourth, fifth in the West or like fighting for playing spot, Like we're kind of like the hunted and nobody's really like taking a serious It was more like how do we mature faster in order to win and do that thing?

And I think that Dallas series is what like the stay down until you come up really comes in because it's like, now we know we can be first in the West.

It's just like how do we get over get over that learning curve?

Speaker 3

You know what I mean?

Speaker 5

And that that Denver series that we just had really really tested that learning curve.

Yeah, so yeah, the hardest part was that, like going from barely getting into playoffs and now we're the first seed and like there's expectations and like how do we manage that with everybody in the room being nineteen twenty years old?

Speaker 2

Because I ain't gonna lie Man.

Yeah, Oklahoma City, I used to always say, Man was on the team.

Speaker 3

On the rise.

Speaker 2

We looked at teams as US members, Grizzy and Oklahoma City, and it's like the jump that y'all took as far as, like you just said, being more understanding of where we can be and where we should be.

I think y'all really paid attention to detail all year long.

Whether it was the defensive end, and speaking about the defensive end, that culture, Like when did that become a culture?

Because I all the while I played Oklahoma City, I never knew them for the be just that tenation's on defense.

But y'all for somehow have gathered together your boy Caruso Wallace talking about the teammates man, and I also want to hear about what did that damn celebration after a good game and a crowd come around in an interview?

What the hell did that come about?

That's the thing because people was hating on that boat.

People they having too much fun.

They think it's a.

Speaker 5

Game and what a yeah, yeah, yeah, we have too much fun.

Speaker 3

Ship.

Speaker 5

It's like, bro, I'm twenty two years old making millions of dollars in my first in the West.

What do you want me to be sad like that?

I never understood that.

But just like the defensive thing, I don't know where that came from, but I think it's just like a like like you guys know, like you guys are on a good dee, like a great defensive team.

It's like pride.

It's like I don't want my man to score, and it's like I don't want the team to have to cover for me, so that like is how it goes.

For like me, it's like the dude in front of me.

Granted some nights you can get your ass buss.

That's just basketball.

Yeah, that's how it goes.

But it's like he's gonna have to work the whole time.

And that's like the mentality that our team has.

I think some of it starts with Shae being leader Shade not afraid to pick up and play d and then it just it just trickles down from there.

It's like we also have the personnel to do it, adding Chet and Heart, having like some people back there.

You throw Jay Will and like all these guys are willing to like come in and be like I'm not going to be the weak link.

Like that's how we think.

And then just you know, obviously our team chemistry, like like you said, like the tile stuff started with Chet like bringing people into the huddle.

Summer league Will, Yeah, like like me and j Will started barking randomly, and now we go to the playoffs, everybody's barking Like that's just that's just us, bro, We're weird.

I don't know.

Speaker 3

I love it.

Speaker 5

Our things.

Speaker 3

I love it.

I love it.

Speaker 2

But I like the fact that when you see the interview going on, the dude that's doing the interview.

Speaker 3

In the background, but whoever doing the interview.

Speaker 5

But that's what we peep, like we peep.

He never will break characters.

So we're all right, let's see if we can get him like mess up or like forget what he's talking about.

Shot Nick, he's locked in.

But that that's just our team, like Nixon.

Really like, like I said, organizations fun to be around, like I'll hang around like staff, like we have a good organization, copycatle.

Speaker 3

I'm pretty sure a lot of people are about to do that.

Speaker 2

Man.

Speaker 3

Just make sure make the organization fun and letting the young fellas you know.

Speaker 5

Figure out they showed up to signing, like play through mistakes.

Speaker 7

But your your team, Camararie, you can see it like y'all probably on y'all road trips, y'all probably all go out thereat together.

When y'all y'all do it together as a team.

And you know, I never won no championship, but he's a champion.

You're a champion.

He always tell me, you know, you gotta be together.

It's gotta be one team, one goal.

And you can see that with y'all and man that we battled a lot of years.

We had a lot of botts.

Well okay, see but y'all organization always been good.

And shout the Sam Man.

Yeah, shut up, shot sam man putting it, putting that with together like that man.

Speaker 2

So having all the damn picks and he got the right one.

Man, he's sitting on a good throng right.

Shout out the Sam Man.

Putt y'all together.

But I just want to know, let's talk about some of the accolades, man, just seeing all the hard work coming from you know, out the mud as you know, I would say, uh, you know, being your first All Star, how I feel just the process of it, and talk about the All Star experience in San Francisco.

Speaker 5

H it was.

I did not expect it to be.

As like I didn't go to sleep like at all during that weekend.

Speaker 3

We were outside both about the thing.

Y'all got that in common.

Speaker 5

I don't even like being outside like that, bro.

We did not go to sleep at all, Like we were either at dinner, we were outside, or we were doing something like it's my first one, so like I want my parents and stuff to like experience that and do that whole thing.

And my little brother's out there too, so I'm trying to like do everything.

I'm like, we're gonna run through everything.

We're gonna be able to be tourists, We're gonna go to every event.

Let's watch the dunk contest all that like, so we can really get the experience.

It was really fun.

Obviously I want to keep going back every year and do that.

But yeah, it's just really cool to like be out there.

It's down the street from my school, which was even cooler.

Yeah, sand friends like forty from Santa Clara, so kind of felt like being at home a little bit.

So it was just it was very like God given really cool experience and I got to like completely live that up.

Speaker 3

That was dope.

Yeah, we both tell us a little about some of your first All.

Speaker 7

Stars, Like you said, man for the family, like my first All Star, you know, like you said, Mom, they I'm rest in peace, my brother and my sister, So they experienced it with me, so man, ain't nothing like it.

Speaker 6

You know, they're feeling you know what I mean.

Speaker 5

It's like like you can't you can't describe it.

Speaker 3

So when you get to the game.

Speaker 2

I'm saying, what, like, Okay, So now today's topic obviously talking about how we changed the All Star game.

Speaker 3

How did like like, like, are you looking forward to plan to you know?

Speaker 2

Do you what they say to USA versus Europe what they call it, they're trying to put that for mat in there?

Speaker 3

How you feel about that?

Speaker 5

I personally think it's an easy fix with everything.

It's just like INCENTIVI it is playing hard.

Maybe make the game shorter and just play because like when I I don't want to sound like a jerk because it's my first one.

I don't want to like just complain, but like I barely played in it just because of the format, Like we only get one little like a couple of quarters like play and that's it.

So I felt like I really wasn't out there.

I'm happy I scored.

I was like, please please do not go score listen here, but yeah, off.

I just think they I think we're trying to like do a little too much with it, trying to make it entertaining when it's I think it's really like just to us to kind of play a little harder.

I think that's what people want to see.

I'm down to do it.

I'm young.

Speaker 2

Yeah, I think that's because I ain't gonna lie as a fan, bro sitting back, Bro, I ain't gonna lie back in the All Star Games I used to watch, I come up watching m J watching I sing, I'm seeing Gas compete when it gets to the fourth court.

Speaker 5

Yeah, I mean, wipe the score when it gets to fourth quarter, wipe the score.

Speaker 3

Actually, however, that gotta be, man, I don't know.

I just think we need more, you know, opinions on it.

Speaker 5

Maybe kill all the in between stuff.

Like there's just a lot of that, Like people don't just listen with the fans say, like they don't really want to watch like a lot of the sideline stuff, Like they want to watch like what is this isn't like a shot anybody?

Like they want to watch like the Brons and the Steps like go at each other.

Obviously they're in a different year.

I can't even tell them to play harder.

Brom going to the finals forever and same as Step.

But like they want to watch us, like play a little bit, And I think we're all smart enough basketball players.

We can go out there and play hard a little bit and get a sweat and go out it a little bit for a fourth quarter, and.

Speaker 6

Hell, y'all do it you.

Speaker 3

I mean, look at some of these summer league summertime.

Speaker 5

And then guys knowing to let each other go and get layups and and not run under each other.

I think I think that'll be the biggest thing.

It's just like just playing a little harder.

Speaker 2

Football season is almost here, and y'all already know who you're rocking with Prass Picks, the Daily Fantasy.

Make sure you head over the Prass Picks right now, download the app and use promo code up.

We're gonna do some picks for the entire football season.

We're still a week away, so let's get to it.

For our first pick, we're going to start out with the rook Ashton Gent one thousand and fifty one rushing ya, I'm gonna go with less.

That's a lot to ask for a rookie, but hopefully he proves me wrong.

So my second pick, Sae Kwon had a record year.

He gonna keep it pushing, so let's go more on yards.

I think he's gonna clip fourteen hundred rushing yards, So easy clear on the more and another easy one for y'all in My opinion is Lamar Jackson.

I'm a fan obviously, so more in rushing yards.

Let's head over to the quarterbacks.

I'm gonna say that Josh Allen gets more than three thousand, seven hundred and fifty passing yards.

Speaker 3

No way.

Speaker 2

Jaye Daniels hits three four hundred and twenty four yards this year.

So we're gonna go less on that last pick for y'all.

Let's rock with the Vet Ann Rodgers Hall of Famer.

I'm going more.

Speaker 3

He's a Vet.

Speaker 1

He's gonna be prepared and come out slinking.

And that's my pick.

Speaker 2

So make sure you head over the prizz Picks, download the app and use the promo Cold Mud prizz Picks run your game.

Speaker 7

You know I want to talk to you about I know your first All Star man, and I know you had to drip on first of all.

But y'all boys be yeah, boy being real sharp now.

I know y'all be having this ship on it fast.

You know we come from God damn big suits, Gator.

Speaker 3

Boots and all that.

Speaker 6

What's the what's the story of Atlanta Shacks to get the shoes wrong?

Speaker 3

You know, dresses?

We got back that fast.

Speaker 6

Boys, be fly you shave.

Speaker 7

Rry Gators.

Y'all boys be flying that fast.

I gotta give it up to y'all man, y'all boys be fly.

Talking about the fat team in the league, I think I'll fly man.

Yeah, we probably the fast team.

Speaker 5

And it really started with Shade.

Shaye obviously really tapped into that that zone.

Speaker 2

They got the most, She got the you gott.

Speaker 5

We popped off one of them.

Yeah, yeah we Okay, you're saying that Mac exactly.

Okay, go ahead, you are cow hoofs oh me.

I'm not saying I'm gonna says.

I'm gonna say I'm the best dress in the NBA.

But yeah, as a collection, as a collective, like I think we're the best dressed team, Okay, And that's because we go shopping together, like we we do all that that.

Yeah, So that that's what makes it fun.

And part of that is like we go to these stores.

It's like low key race to see the stuff.

Now, why I said Shade was because we're racing for stuff bro already got.

So that that's what That's what that disconnected Captain a little longer.

But yeah, we just make it like it's fun to like dress.

Speaker 6

And boys watching you be clean.

Speaker 3

Man, y'all make it like a thing you was like normally.

Speaker 2

Man with me, man, my mind set once set up like that, I'm gone gray, little bowls man, white teacher man, little Robin jeans man.

When I got a little older leading, it was red monkey round red monkey.

That's yeah, he's saying, Diesel.

I was shopping, but I just didn't have that swag because the league at the time.

Speaker 5

You guys have rules.

Speaker 2

Yeah, we had to wear button ups and we're doing when I take back these jeans, we got button ups on.

Speaker 3

Yeah.

Speaker 5

Shout out to.

Speaker 2

Alan Averison for just changing the whole game from the handles to even making us put on goddamn suits.

Speaker 3

Yeah, you know what I'm saying.

He was that influential, you know what I'm saying.

And just to see how y'all doing it now, it's almost like now when I get.

Speaker 5

To the league, I got to be so stuff.

Yeah.

Speaker 3

Look he got he got crucified for it.

Speaker 5

So it's like you gotta make it work.

Speaker 3

One long we give him and yeah he was getting separated during the game.

Speaker 6

Like I ain't gonna lie.

Speaker 7

I ain't just saying it because I play the league, but to me, I think NBA players the freshest with any coming there fashion than any other profession.

Speaker 6

I mean, I see, you know, football player be fresh, but you know they wearing the little.

Speaker 3

Shorts of ship.

Speaker 5

Like football players aren't close.

Speaker 6

But you know what I'm saying, But NBA players the freshest.

Speaker 5

There are some football players I can really dress the show for the show that I just over.

Collective, NBA dress.

Speaker 3

Better than football.

Speaker 6

Yeah the show not close at all, but that ship.

Speaker 5

I'm trying because I think we're tall today, so like football players like collectively, they a lot more close fit.

So that's why I think NBA players are flying.

Speaker 6

Like we we get we get off.

Speaker 3

While we're right here, Bro talk about you know your relationship with a Didas Bro.

Speaker 5

It's great, it's great.

We were in talks right now.

Speaker 2

Right now, champion the best to do it now.

I'm a kick guy, you know what I'm saying.

Obviously, all my kids love the jobs and things that nature.

But I truly think, man, the way you played man, this ship, Man and the forties and you know you put in the finals man that ship.

I'm talking about that forty point game.

Yeah, before we get that, these things talk to us about the forty point game.

What you ate that day, how you woke up, who you said, what's up to?

Speaker 5

Who you gave, who you call?

Speaker 3

Who called you?

Speaker 5

Cut that game?

I ain't gonna lee, bro, I thought.

I kind of thought.

I said, damn, this man fucking might still in its finals MVP.

Speaker 3

That's what I thought.

Speaker 5

Say that I was no.

Brother said two average thirty something right now.

Speaker 3

I'm understandable.

But this performance, I don't know.

Speaker 5

I didn't.

It's crazy because even I can barely watch the highlights because it's like it's hard to watch still because like one my mind goes like one shot you miss could be a completely different series.

But I was just flowing.

I was just out there like I kind of just got austin competing, like I didn't do anything like you said, superstitious.

I didn't do nothing different.

I'll listen to my music the same I did every other time.

I got four songs, I always play right in a row, and I played Lauren Hill, Okay, then I play She's on my Leg?

What else do I listened to?

I listened to to like instrumentals, like to like I try and listen like like classical music.

And that's it.

And then I listened to what I walk out to right before, I'll like play Fast Lane by eminem and Rouster Fight nine.

I'll play them.

Speaker 2

That's different because you know, I just took myself back.

I was I was bumping in the future.

Funny that you did that and you got that you did that because I'm like, okay, said Lauren.

Here you it's like Mike Colly, Like I used to always try to tell Mike cong Mike Conley, turn off that damn uship bro play something mcabelly.

And now I'll see you cats striving that lane right there.

So like because you know what was your what was your preference to me?

I know you obviously with Endless enter Turament, money Bag the Future at that time, a little booty.

Speaker 3

Yeah, so you need a temple type temple and so.

Speaker 5

You don't have a choice.

He was playing in Memphis.

You don't have's no way, there's no way you can play no lower hill before the game.

Speaker 3

That's interesting.

So you like you like a mellow bab before you walk into I.

Speaker 5

Feel like naturally, once I get on the court, like I want to compete, So I'm already like juiced uff.

So that like brings me happy.

Yeah, Yeah, that's interesting.

Yeah the forty I was just flowing, bro Like I was just playing like I was playing harder ship on defense and found a couple of easy buckets on and that one fade thought I'd already had a lot of points, you know, Yeah, you just start kind of like trying ship and then that ended up being one of those ones that went in.

Speaker 3

Now, talk about this series a little bit more.

Speaker 2

Too, on the point where I now, obviously the injury went down, we you know, we hope young Fella again.

Speaker 5

Yeah, yeah, I hated that happened.

Speaker 3

But talk to us about, you know, how much of a pain and ass he was before he got hurt.

Speaker 5

I think what people don't understand is how he impacts like just that team in general, like even if he's not playing well, Like I don't know the team, but like you kind of just tell that he's like the center of it.

So like if he has good energy regards if he's playing well or not, like they feed off that, and they have guys that can like really go.

Obviously they got themar TJ was killing us.

Those series like Topping had a hell of a series, Like they have guys that like fed around him.

So even if he was off, the way he passes and sees the game and keeps them in, like everybody into the game, that's what makes them go.

That's what makes them That's why they were there in the finals.

Like to be able to impose that fast paced game throughout the playoffs is insane, bro, because usually the player everybody said the playoffs slow down, like, but.

Speaker 3

On it was.

Speaker 2

You tell me a little bit about the defensive now me watching him, I'm a deferent specialist.

Speaker 3

J I don't know if you know you understand that, right, Yeah, so you're right right here.

Speaker 2

The first thing to listen I'm trying to figure out is when Halliburt was, like we know his game pretty much when he go to that right hand and he get down, hell, like five people break over.

Speaker 3

Yeah, off that one half pick and roll.

What was y'all man set to stop that?

Speaker 2

Because that that was like pretty much when he whenever he get off, whenever he could get like fifteen points, ten assists or you know what I'm saying, fastest rebound, he was putting pressure on Oak only ce.

Speaker 3

I was just trying to figure out what was y'all massid entertain that half pick and roll.

Speaker 5

Any player in the NBA that's like really good.

Actually really all NBA players are really good in space.

Like if you're a good player, you have space, like anytime you can get downhill and get to that.

That is what his focus on is.

So a lot of it was like make sure are correct.

They don't set a lot of ball screens, so it's like, we can't mess it up.

We can't give him an advantage going to his right, because that's when you leave Nisse Smith open for three and now you're overreacting to Halliburton.

You're giving up threes and nazi O comes getting easy points and then now down the stretch he's got a rhythm.

So that's like that was our thing, like coverage, communication, being in the right being in a low man at the right time.

Don't don't pull from the corner and give up easy corner threes because they shoot him really well.

Speaker 3

So like and these and these principles that y'all then took care in training camp.

Yeah, this is all.

Speaker 2

Yeah, that's talking about that.

That's the when you win a championship boat.

It's like we were living and down on our principle.

We tag together on the defensive ends you the second you and to know when we come in the game, bro, we either gonna push the lead to ten or stay in the same.

We were not trying to be on So I just want to know if that's was y'all mass set throughout the year and you just said it, so it makes sense.

Speaker 3

Bro, that was a hell of a run.

Man.

Speaker 5

Yeah, that's Mark's biggest thing is like he said it all year two is it's annoying, but it's also like why I think we won the championship.

He said that all year is like the stuff that we do in training camp and like when we're playing in January when nobody's watching the games and we're kind of ready to be done in that little rookie wall whatever, like those are the most important games because those are what build your habits to when you get down there.

Like I'm already in a little man.

This isn't like a new We didn't have any new concepts going into the Pacer series.

That's not because the Pacers just like like you said, we live and die on like what we've been doing.

That's why we're successful.

And it's like if we can impose that will win and then that's that's kind of what happened.

Speaker 2

That's a big talk about chet Man, chet and your man chat enough shape they both all three of you guys saying big extension.

Yes, obviously the organization chose to keep you guys together.

And uh, a lot of people see is like if y'all playing that same brand of basketball, they could see y'all doing the next year.

Speaker 3

How do you avoid the championship hangover?

Speaker 5

I mean, I'm already off of it, little kid.

I just had hand surgery.

I got worry about now.

I think the biggest thing is, like, you know, like when you have a good game, it's like trying not to repeat exactly what you just did.

It's gonna be the same same thing, like understanding, like we're now the hunted, getting in that mindset to be able to, you know, take some pride and like basically guard your yard.

And then Mark always says, the biggest thing is just be you.

You don't have to be anything else, so you can keep the same identity do and going and jail with the other new guys we got coming in and go from there, like we got to make the league react to us and not react to what the league is doing so, I think that's our biggest thing.

Speaker 3

Mm hmm.

Speaker 2

Shout out coach.

Y'all basically did that too.

I mean because I saw I saw a lot of times this year man with y'all.

Y'all won from a lot of angles.

Man, whether it was Shaye in the post, whether it was you guys hint threes, where it was you win going on runs, whether it was the defense that won the game.

Speaker 3

Y'all won in a lot of fashions.

Man.

Just to see that and just for you to say, y'all paid attention to detail throughout to get that win.

Man, it's big man.

So shout out to being the NBA champions for twenty five.

Speaker 5

Appreciate it.

Speaker 3

Appreciate you gave us a smooth detail of how that is.

Speaker 2

Dude, you feel like the league is giving your flowers, like you know, because it obviously we know shape MVP right boom after this year, do you feel right now all the doubts that missed recruited you all the NBA critics is he can he be the guy to shape you?

Speaker 3

Fulfill that void.

Speaker 5

For now?

That's the media, Like it's I'm never gonna be perfect anybody, and I'm not like I don't really need the lead to give me flowers.

Carry you got that, you know what I mean?

I got a ring.

So it's like like like like even like the stephen A thing goes from he's inconsistent to like now we're top to the top one dude, Like I understand how it go, like I know how the game go.

Like there's got to be something to talk about.

It's like the news, Like the news is always negative, like there ain't never no positive news on.

So it's somebody so you here ship ain't like yeah, I'm not dumb.

Speaker 3

Social media won't name.

I was just saying he got it.

Speaker 2

Now to where I y'all gonna hit bus open that that that that open the act with do listeners?

Speaker 3

I heard what you just said.

Speaker 2

Now hold on, now what a lot of people quiet that dumb man that ain't gonna front the way you did.

It was out the mud man, and that's how it's always supposed to be done.

But the organization itself has chose to, you know, stick with you guys and this this this is now to be in the hunted.

Speaker 3

This is with Kobe and them.

Used to feel like winning back to backs and you know what I mean like I.

Speaker 5

Get to be in like that, like that's rare error, that's rare space.

Speaker 6

Like it's like now cool, Yeah, Like.

Speaker 5

I want to experience the whole part of the NBA.

So it's like I don't really care what everybody else talking about.

I'm I'm playing the games like so it don't matter what else is really sad or going on.

Speaker 2

Yeah, so when when you see when you see now when you play, what's the team that was trying in New Orleans without Zion Man?

You could see people trying to do their best?

Speaker 5

Yeah, everybody, you are aware better being?

Speaker 2

Yeah, you are aware now, like all right, my father's finna think they trying to get a ten day off us.

Speaker 3

Yeah?

Yeah, I feel the thunder.

Speaker 2

Yeah yeah.

Speaker 5

If I kill the thunder, I'm.

Speaker 3

Gonna get it in.

Speaker 2

Yeah.

Speaker 3

You know what I'm saying, How does that feel?

Speaker 2

Now?

Like?

How do you stay in that man set?

We're gonna stick to this when we sought out from to win this ship.

Speaker 5

I mean, well, first, I like, it's easy to want to go back to playing that way because that's how we won.

So I don't think that's gonna be more of a problem.

I'm just excited because it's like if he giving me his best shot, like and I give you my best shot, Like, we just gonna see what happened after that.

It's just gonna make me better long run.

And that's why I think my mindset is flipp because this is year three.

This isn't like it's like year fifteen or ten.

Like this is like my third year in the NBA.

So I get to like, yeah, I get to like really see how far I can push the envelope.

So I'm excited for that.

Speaker 3

Let's talk about the parade.

Speaker 5

It's fun.

Speaker 3

It was fun.

Speaker 5

Oh yeah, it was fun.

Speaker 3

Yeah.

What were the people They.

Speaker 5

Don't hey, don't, don't do this is my camera.

There was a lot of people outside.

Was like a hunded outside to this parade on a Tuesday.

We had to rush the praade because of the draft.

So there's seven hundred thousand people outside one hundred degrees seven hundred.

We don't have a like, it's not like Toronto where we have this big population.

Bro.

It was yeah, I gotta find a little picture of the grass.

Speaker 2

Bro.

Speaker 3

There were so many people out there, it was so much open space.

Speaker 5

I was looking like I was just you know, it's funny.

Somebody posted a crazy picture on Twitter that wasn't even the route we were going.

I was like, Bro, we were never over there.

Yeah, no, it was very It was very fun.

Speaker 2

Bro.

Speaker 5

We ran the whole parade.

I didn't even sit on the float like it was I was doing on the floor.

Speaker 2

Bro.

Speaker 3

I was on the float for like.

Speaker 5

Five minutes, and and I ran down there.

Speaker 3

We jumping in the crowd with the fans and was the turn to say.

Speaker 5

Yeah, yeah, that's hilarious.

Speaker 3

Yeah he was out there.

We got a shirt off with this flag.

Speaker 5

You guys get to see how sad is actually around us.

Like that was fun.

I'll never forget that.

Like my parents is in the float watching us, like like do that whole thing.

I was drunk a little bit.

I ain't never Yeah, it was fun.

I mean we literally ran deeperraad Like I don't remember being on the float for more than like ten minutes.

Yeah, we just don't have Like it's not like you know what I'm saying, Like like people were compared Toronto like they have it's like you know what I mean, Like it's.

Speaker 3

A lot of people.

When I saw it, I was comparing at the bost.

Speaker 5

Yeah, I mean it's still yeah, a lot of people like but.

Speaker 3

I say, that's glad.

Speaker 2

I'm glad you said something about it, because now you you get the bunk the narrative that they yeah.

Speaker 5

Yeah, like we were taking pictures like, yeah, obviously it's empty everybody over here.

That's why it's nobody there.

So we had fun.

It was a lot.

We thought it was a lot of people there.

It was really all that mattered.

As long as Oklahoma liked the parade, it would have been cool.

Everybody's just lucky it wasn't on like a Friday or like yeah.

Yeah, and we did a good job.

There's no I was just happy.

There's no nothing went wrong.

There was no fights, no, you know what I mean.

It's very they did a good job.

Speaker 7

Everything about them OKAC fans.

They're some of the best fans in the league ever.

Yeah, that's what.

Speaker 6

What what's the what being the feistiest arena even being in Oh you think.

Speaker 5

I don't know, we haven't had like the Pacers actually had.

Speaker 6

A really good arena Indiana.

Yeah, in Indiana.

Speaker 5

Indiana had a good a good little thing.

I'm trying to think.

Obviously, I think US is by a land Sack sacked crowd, Yeah crowd.

Sack has a great Sack got a great crowd.

Yes, Sack has a great crowd.

There's loud when they the year we played them with like the light the beam stuff, when that first took off, Yeah, they was wild and there Sack a good one and it obviously got like the the New York's, the Boston's like those those don't ever go nowhere.

But yeah, it'll probably be o Golden State.

I never got to play in the first one.

Everybody says, I think Oracle or Yeah, everybody.

Speaker 3

Said that arena that was that's the That's the one we played going up to the old Joint.

Speaker 5

For the All Star where we practiced, it was loud.

I was like, I can see how get crazy.

Speaker 3

So that was also way, Man, I might be good in a new one, cou In.

Speaker 2

Why you remember I walked through them kids joint and then so I'm straight at the new one.

Speaker 3

Yeah, I'm straight at the new one.

Dig that?

So man, So just man, just looking back, man, you know on.

Speaker 2

Your whole career.

Man, obviously you got a lot to go.

Man, I see a twenty year career in you, bro.

I just wanted to know, man, what what what's what are some of your future goals and you know as you you know, rise in this league.

Speaker 5

Yeah, I don't know, honestly, I just try and like not look that far ahead.

Twenty years a long live.

Yeah, I love it, bro especially now, like I think might like just I do won't like keep harping on my hand, but like my hand like stopping me from actually playing basketball like allows me to like actually have a rest because like from the draft until I don't even know if people really think about it.

Yeah, I'm talking about like my when I first get drafted until now, there's really been no break, Like I played in the summer leagues up until then, and then we have this deep run.

So it's like I've never really had like an off seat.

Yeah, and obviously even now I really won't have one.

Now I won't be able to really do anything for the next couple of months, So it's like I get to kind of like sit back and like admire things a little bit and like figure out who I want to be as like a person and a player.

And then obviously I'll still be working out and getting into it.

But yeah, this this helped me kind of take a back seat a little bit and like enjoy it.

Speaker 3

What's your what's your latest praying?

Speaker 2

You've been, you know, starting to take a liking into Is it any upcoming brands out here you want to get a shout out?

Speaker 5

HMDD hitting seasons.

They're going crazy.

GVG gallery they do.

They're doing a really good job.

I actually got gv G on right now.

What else Echo?

I'm bringing that back and done a couple of collapse with like Me and stuff.

So we're gonna we're gonna lock in Me and Echo are cool?

Echo that started?

Yeah, I was a lot and I was sent them like some flicks.

Speaker 3

And football.

I couldn't afford the Echo bro.

Speaker 6

Remember I see that I was in the open.

Speaker 3

I remember that.

Speaker 5

What was like South Pole and stuff?

Yeah, yeah, that's making it come back to But yeah, those are some there's some brands of rock obviously like Theiago, Yeah, stuff like that.

But it's cool.

Speaker 7

Who you think I know, y'all defensive team and one of the best of his teams in the league.

Shout out the boy Door too, man really out.

Speaker 5

The Door Talk team finally got on the first team, first first team.

Speaker 7

Who would you say besides y'all?

Like other team's defensive stoppers players.

Speaker 5

I will be shouting out my team first A C obviously great defender, Louis Crusoe and Caseon Wallace.

Speaker 3

I like that pull.

Speaker 5

I like that case O body film.

He just go out there and play defense.

I'm mad at that's like natural, but I don't want to break it.

Nothing to change happen.

But like you don't even like really you know, this is his second year, bro, so he didn't even really like that's what I'm saying, Like he's film.

Yeah, like he watched film, but like he ain't really like dove into look that you don't know how crazy some of his like like steals and like his instincts.

Speaker 2

Of instinct but just thinking he understands he understanding that sect the off Yeah, he's understanding that's the player that he's gonna be matched up with.

Speaker 5

All the man Shorty could be nice.

Yeah, he's great defend like instinctually great defender, great feet, great hands.

But since we're asking like other teams, uh Portland, I don't want to say his name wrong, but uh, what's his name?

Kamara?

Maybe light skin but yes, yes, great, great, got the league fans tall, tall forgive me for not knowing how to say his name, but tall, good hands, good feet, good instinct.

Yeah, ser long, I think he's gonna be really good.

Obviously, you got like the Drew Hollidays of the world and those guys.

I'm trying to think Thompson boys.

Oh yeah them, yeah, yeah, yeah, they they're gonna unlock some some other ship though because they they're athleticism is ridiculous.

Yeah, Thompson Twins are going.

I would say them three.

Honestly, those those Thompson Twins special.

They especially like that.

But yeah, I would say them them three and three out the mud.

Speaker 3
