Episode Transcript
[SPEAKER_01]: more?
[SPEAKER_01]: You want more podcast presence?
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, since you asked so nicely, why don't you go check your stocking?
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, one of the biggest things we did this year at many cited media was add a bunch of spectacular new shows to the many-sided network, and so if you look deep down your stocking, I'm giving you the gift of another favorite TTRPG podcast.
[SPEAKER_01]: So, [SPEAKER_01]: Ooh, that's a good one.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's called Dark Spawn.
[SPEAKER_01]: So normally, Dark Spawn is a video game book club podcast.
[SPEAKER_01]: It was created because Dylan wanted to show his best friend Robin, his favorite video game series Dragon Age, which Robin had never played.
[SPEAKER_01]: and now they are moving on to other choice-heavy video games to share and discuss book club style.
[SPEAKER_01]: Previously, they've played the full series of Dragon Age as well as Mass Effect 1, 2 and 3, and they are currently playing Fallout New Vegas.
[SPEAKER_01]: But this particular episode I want to share with you is actually the first episode of an actual play series they are running called Kings of Mahat, playing the Fallout RPG.
[SPEAKER_01]: In this episode, four souls in the wasteland of NYC hop aboard a bus ride together.
[SPEAKER_01]: In a nuclear New York, what could possibly go right?
[SPEAKER_01]: And with that, enjoy the show.
[SPEAKER_09]: The trapezoid is a vayne that's the hand that you can't win The bright size of a sheep it's in hell I'm sure she knows I'm not a boy, don't know what's in it I'd like to know the meaning of a smile The routine for fair and bold, and that's a lie, that's why it's blue Whoa [SPEAKER_14]: won't ever change.
[SPEAKER_14]: Everyone thinks about the end of the world.
[SPEAKER_14]: What happens when the bombs drop?
[SPEAKER_14]: What happens when the rapture begins?
[SPEAKER_14]: What happens when robots become sentient?
[SPEAKER_14]: What happens when disease takes over?
[SPEAKER_14]: But not many people think about what happens after the end.
[SPEAKER_14]: After the bombs have destroyed, after the gates of heaven closed, after the power shuts down, after the disease has ravaged.
[SPEAKER_14]: the world ended 216 years ago, but people crawled out of the ground.
[SPEAKER_14]: People built settlements, communities, made farms and vehicles, things changed, and people adapted.
[SPEAKER_14]: They learned about the world, they looked after creatures that couldn't look after themselves, they found [SPEAKER_14]: But for all the things people adapt to, for all the things they built, all the safety they create, all the comfort they fight for, war, war never changes.
[SPEAKER_14]: Salutations, wastelanders, this is Billy Vinny, the ghoul with two names here in beautiful Mahat in the endless New York City.
[SPEAKER_14]: It is a beautiful day and a beautiful day brings news.
[SPEAKER_14]: The ladies of the lake have increased their efforts to find technology, what technology they're looking for and what they want to do with it remains a mystery, but if you're looking for work, there you go.
[SPEAKER_14]: If you don't mind getting your hands a little [SPEAKER_14]: The red storm that hit the Great Midwest is still headed this way, but is expected to die out before it reaches us, but maybe stuck up on a couple of redways.
[SPEAKER_14]: Priests between Brook Lane and the Kings of Manhattan remains as the King set up a tourney to unite the city and spread peace between each faction.
[SPEAKER_14]: Speaking of Brook Lane, there have been increased sightings of bizarre creatures in the area, so if you're wandering around night, be careful, and maybe pack a couple of extra bullets.
[SPEAKER_14]: That's all for now, folks.
[SPEAKER_14]: I'm gonna leave you with a song that we haven't played in a few hours.
[SPEAKER_14]: This is Miss Lindy, by Larry and the Lamp Liders.
[SPEAKER_00]: MUSIC On a pile of rusted springs and old foam that only a true show of empathy can call a mattress.
[SPEAKER_14]: A pit boy flares the song into the building.
[SPEAKER_14]: Outside the window, we can hear people setting up stalls, tending to animals.
[SPEAKER_14]: Inside the building, we see a ghoul.
[SPEAKER_14]: Filly, please describe yourself.
[SPEAKER_07]: Salamina Fili Walcott is a Google of moderate height, about five, six, five, seven.
[SPEAKER_07]: She is fit.
[SPEAKER_07]: Her body is curvy but strong.
[SPEAKER_07]: Not too meaty, a little bit more slight.
[SPEAKER_07]: Um, she has a big bright smile on her face, um, all of her teeth still intact.
[SPEAKER_07]: Part of her nose, a little eaten away, uh, her skin, a leathery, medium brown color.
[SPEAKER_07]: Uh, one eye, um, almost iridescent like.
[SPEAKER_07]: There's a film over top of it.
[SPEAKER_07]: Um, her hair is kinky curly and it's pulled back up into a little front pompadour, uh, uh, and then like a little bouncy ponytail behind.
[SPEAKER_07]: Um, she is wearing a vault boiler uniform, um, it has, uh, the regulation, um, you know, blue top, like the one piece, but hers has a little flounce at the waist that mimics like a little skirt.
[SPEAKER_07]: Um, and she is just kind of looking around excitedly, it's always a wonderful time when there's lots of people to talk to you.
[SPEAKER_07]: Um, she is a rule of vault 12 and proud of it.
[SPEAKER_14]: What is a normal morning look like for Philly?
[SPEAKER_14]: She wakes up.
[SPEAKER_07]: She practices her hygiene care.
[SPEAKER_07]: She still has creams and lotion and things like that to make sure that her skin stays as nice as it can.
[SPEAKER_07]: She gets whatever injections we don't like to talk about it.
[SPEAKER_07]: It's no one's business really outside of.
[SPEAKER_07]: the community, a lady needs to have her secrets, but a few injections and things like that upkeep maintenance is what I like to call it happens and then I get dressed.
[SPEAKER_07]: Once I get dressed I work out, I have a different workout outfit, it's like a little romper shortset, um, I'm a little treadmill, got to stay fit and strong just in case, you know, you never know.
[SPEAKER_07]: And then I have a series of duties after I change into my regular uniform that I like to take care of, just, you know, things [SPEAKER_07]: be a good friend.
[SPEAKER_14]: You know, all the things you're supposed to do today is particularly exciting because the kings of Mahat, you live in Mahat and the kings have taken a lot of volunteers and a lot of their nights.
[SPEAKER_14]: to go to Brooklyn to set up a Tony.
[SPEAKER_14]: No one really knows what the point of the Tony is.
[SPEAKER_14]: They keep saying it's for, it's to unite people, it's to get everyone invested in competition.
[SPEAKER_14]: Some people have signed up for jousting matches on like rad horses and rad stags and things like that.
[SPEAKER_14]: It it it also looks just a little bit like a fair nuka cola bottle cap shooting and iguana skewers and and fast snacks Or we'll can be considered fast snacks nowadays [SPEAKER_14]: you have been asked to help set up some stalls and as you are setting one up on your morning routine a night of the kings comes up to you that the human fairly young they often come over to you to help you with small tasks that you're doing.
[SPEAKER_14]: This is Kaden, Kaden runs up to you and is like you doing okay?
[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah, having a great day kid, how are you?
[SPEAKER_14]: You know me, I'm running [SPEAKER_14]: Brooklyn is having a lot of power outages and it's really messing with all of us trying to set stuff up.
[SPEAKER_14]: So he wants you to go to the church because apparently they know a way to reroute some power or have someone that can help us reroute power, and since you're a little worker be, we figured who else better to go do that.
[SPEAKER_07]: Of course, no problem.
[SPEAKER_07]: She pulls a little slip of paper out of a little side zip pocket.
[SPEAKER_07]: It opens it up, and there is like a makeshift map that's there.
[SPEAKER_07]: That has all these different markers, like she's been outside of her vault.
[SPEAKER_07]: And she checks it real quick, and then points herself in the direction that she knows the church is, and nods at him kind of determinedly.
[SPEAKER_07]: and then kind of marches away, just excited to be useful and excited to be just going about her day.
[SPEAKER_07]: She says hello and stops to say hello to the different vendors and people that she's already seen, people that she hasn't seen before, just new friends.
[SPEAKER_07]: And as I think she approaches the church, [SPEAKER_07]: She kind of puts her piece of paper back in her pocket, smooths it, kind of holds it for a second thinking of, you know, these moments of independence that she's been working up to taking the bus into the city, seeing sites, right?
[SPEAKER_07]: These beautiful moments that she's been kind of blossoming into, and she heads inside.
[SPEAKER_07]: Hello!
[SPEAKER_07]: I'm here to help!
[SPEAKER_14]: an old man who you probably haven't met before in these long dark robes.
[SPEAKER_14]: This church is kind of a church only a name.
[SPEAKER_14]: It is more of a [SPEAKER_14]: using the term recruitment stall feels bad, but it is a place to get people more interested in what this church is offering.
[SPEAKER_14]: The children of atom have very recently come to Mahat and New York City as a whole, and they have set up a stall here.
[SPEAKER_14]: You see this very old man as you enter.
[SPEAKER_14]: Ugh, sorry, my dear.
[SPEAKER_14]: I'm not used to seeing a new face.
[SPEAKER_14]: Are you interested in joining the church?
[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, no.
[SPEAKER_06]: Kaden, the Knight of the Kings.
[SPEAKER_06]: He sent me to help you?
[SPEAKER_14]: Oh, right, very good, very good.
[SPEAKER_14]: You are a filimina?
[SPEAKER_06]: Yes, that's me, hi.
[SPEAKER_14]: Ah, hello.
[SPEAKER_14]: I am father Moscow.
[SPEAKER_14]: I was hoping to find someone good with repair, Brook Lane has been having a lot of power outages, and I don't want it to harm our events going forward, and the kings don't really have many people to spare.
[SPEAKER_14]: I hope you would suffice.
[SPEAKER_07]: I'm not terrible at it, but it's also not necessarily my strong suit.
[SPEAKER_07]: I could look around for someone who's better, though.
[SPEAKER_07]: I can get that help for you.
[SPEAKER_14]: Ah, no, no.
[SPEAKER_14]: Well, I'll get one of my people to go, and it's okay.
[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, okay.
[SPEAKER_14]: Ah, I tell you what.
[SPEAKER_14]: If I'd like the training, you can go with them.
[SPEAKER_14]: It is out in the wild as though.
[SPEAKER_06]: I'm not afraid.
[SPEAKER_06]: I think that there are friends to be made everywhere.
[SPEAKER_14]: You are a vault dweller, aren't you?
[SPEAKER_07]: Of course.
[SPEAKER_14]: Yes, okay.
[SPEAKER_07]: She gestures to her uniform proudly.
[SPEAKER_14]: Very good.
[SPEAKER_14]: I thought so.
[SPEAKER_14]: Yes, there are friends to be made everywhere.
[SPEAKER_07]: Of course.
[SPEAKER_14]: Um, please.
[SPEAKER_14]: Take a seat.
[SPEAKER_07]: She sits down, her back very straight.
[SPEAKER_07]: There is a look of respect on her face as she kind of waits for what he's going to say next.
[SPEAKER_07]: Any kind of quest he might want to send her on or project he wants her to tackle.
[SPEAKER_07]: There's an earnestness about this person.
[SPEAKER_07]: Their rough exterior is definitely a lot.
[SPEAKER_07]: They are scary, they're hares a little patchy.
[SPEAKER_07]: They have blast marks on parts of their body that look kind of warped and knorled, but she is happy.
[SPEAKER_14]: to be of use, and kind of looks at him patiently.
[SPEAKER_14]: Father Moscow, not at you, and hobbles his way to a side room.
[SPEAKER_14]: He opens the door, walks in, and as he goes to close it, a gust of wind blows through the church, and slams the door.
[SPEAKER_14]: So loud that you see a flock of birds get spooked and fly up, and as they do, the camera follows them.
[SPEAKER_14]: follows them up over the houses of Brooklane, squawking with their beaks made of steel.
[SPEAKER_14]: They fly over the east river on their mutated wings on top of a building in central Manhattan, where they land on their three human-fingered feet, and they look toward a robot.
[SPEAKER_14]: Mrs.
Trimbley, can you please describe yourself?
[SPEAKER_04]: Mrs.
Trimbley is a very shiny, Mr.
[SPEAKER_04]: Handy.
[SPEAKER_04]: She has just polished herself this morning as she does every morning because it is part of the job to look respectable.
[SPEAKER_04]: She is wearing a little bonnet over her most forward facing eye.
[SPEAKER_04]: She also has a little apron that is draped around her midsection, her little ball midsection, and it's sort of just tied around the other arms that she has.
[SPEAKER_04]: And she is on this roof at the moment, sort of huddled over a little trash bin that's on the side of the rooftop.
[SPEAKER_04]: And then turns when she hears the commotion of all of the birds sort of landing.
[SPEAKER_04]: One of the birds that has landed lands a little too hard and clearly wasn't able to kind of handle that landing and has sort of plopped forward onto its face for a moment like sort of [SPEAKER_04]: boots back up and compared to all of them is maybe not looking so so well and so bright and she turns away from the trash bin that she has just been looking over and goes oh dear there you are [SPEAKER_04]: No, don't worry, you come with me and she scoops it up and clutches it against her apron.
[SPEAKER_04]: Sort of uses the apron as a little satchel to hold it there, gives it a little coup with, as best she can.
[SPEAKER_04]: It's like, we better get you all tied to you.
[SPEAKER_14]: this bird as it it's it's fingered legs the fingers kind of tense and then they do a little walking motion toward you and then with it's it's toothed mouth it starts eating the the nuts and oats from from out of your uh not out of your hand I guess out of the your little apron section [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[SPEAKER_04]: She just sort of opens a little, a little container reaches in with a claw and pulls out some seeds and drops them in the apron where the bird is.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_04]: This is a pigeon, by the way.
[SPEAKER_14]: This is a pigeon.
[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah, this is a normal pigeon.
[SPEAKER_14]: This is, yeah, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no [SPEAKER_14]: As you're feeding the birds more and more appear and you realize, you have run out of seed and probably need to go get more with your chores.
[SPEAKER_04]: Go silly me.
[SPEAKER_04]: I hate, we're always forgetting, but that's all right.
[SPEAKER_04]: I'll be right back.
[SPEAKER_04]: I'll be back later today.
[SPEAKER_04]: You all will be good to each other.
[SPEAKER_04]: And she starts to whistle a little tune.
[SPEAKER_04]: and wanders off off the rooftop down to the bus stop.
[SPEAKER_14]: As you're walking to the bus stop, you to call it a commotion is to make too big a deal out of it.
[SPEAKER_14]: You hear someone, you hear a dragging noise and then somebody swearing and then a little dragging noise and somebody swearing.
[SPEAKER_14]: Just around the corner from the bus stop.
[SPEAKER_14]: You're also feel like you're hearing like the sloshing of water as well.
[SPEAKER_04]: uh, she turns that corner.
[SPEAKER_04]: It says, language.
[SPEAKER_14]: You see a, a human in these like, Raider leather clothes.
[SPEAKER_14]: They have the emblems of the ladies of the lake.
[SPEAKER_14]: They are holding armfills of random tech.
[SPEAKER_14]: They have like a toaster.
[SPEAKER_14]: They have like an old like a TV that's burnt out and the glass is smashed on it.
[SPEAKER_14]: They are also stood in a bucket of water and are like trying to hop jump, scrape the water as they're walking back towards the river.
[SPEAKER_14]: This bucket that they're stood in and trying to like hop almost like potato sack race hop with it.
[SPEAKER_14]: is almost completely empty, but you can see water splashes from the river where there is a small paddle boat all the way to this building and then all the and then back to where they are.
[SPEAKER_14]: Oh hey, that's not so, I just, this is getting really hard to keep jumping whilst carrying all this stuff.
[SPEAKER_04]: Well that just doesn't seem like a very efficient way to walk.
[SPEAKER_14]: Haha, I don't know, I don't allow to walk on solid ground, it's against the teachings.
[SPEAKER_14]: So, [SPEAKER_14]: That's a jump.
[SPEAKER_14]: Although I have these dead.
[SPEAKER_14]: I thought friends are buying.
[SPEAKER_14]: They feel that boots up with water that walk around.
[SPEAKER_04]: All done, all done, all done.
[SPEAKER_04]: You're out of breath.
[SPEAKER_04]: Take a deep one in.
[SPEAKER_04]: There, there you go.
[SPEAKER_04]: Now, I'll just the same.
[SPEAKER_04]: Very good healthy lungs you have.
[SPEAKER_11]: Thank you.
[SPEAKER_04]: All right.
[SPEAKER_04]: So now you tell me the rest of your story.
[SPEAKER_04]: It was very interesting.
[SPEAKER_14]: Just by friends they fill their boots up with water.
[SPEAKER_14]: The walk and I think that's cheating.
[SPEAKER_14]: Cause when allowed to walk on solid ground.
[SPEAKER_14]: So I'm jumping around to this bucket of water because then I'm knee high in water.
[SPEAKER_14]: I'm not trying to get tech for the for the ladies at the lake because they're asking for it because we have this big project.
[SPEAKER_04]: You know the ladies.
[SPEAKER_14]: They stand you can see the breathe heavy through their sailor uniform.
[SPEAKER_14]: No, I'm a certified lady.
[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, that's nice, dude.
[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, healthy lungs and a healthy appetite for justice.
[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, that a nice young person you are.
[SPEAKER_14]: Thank you.
[SPEAKER_14]: I know this might be very forward, but all of the ladies are looking for real high-tech stuff for this really cool project that we have going on.
[SPEAKER_14]: You're kind of like a robot.
[SPEAKER_14]: Would you buy maybe coming with me and giving you a buy the body and soul to us?
[SPEAKER_14]: We can use it for a really cool project.
[SPEAKER_14]: It'll make me seem really impressive and At the minute I'm only like picking up toast doesn't and useless stuff.
[SPEAKER_04]: Oh well I would tell you I would in just a moment's time.
[SPEAKER_04]: But unfortunately I have a job to do and I am responsible for a very precious young life But I could give you a little something would you like something?
[SPEAKER_14]: Oh my god, I would love something please I I have pinched out toast and everyone had like 50.
[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, no, I have something much more interesting than that for you and she She reaches back and like stuck strapped to her back [SPEAKER_04]: because canonically she has a spare uh, a pincer arm that she's not using because I bought I bought and replaced one of my arms with a flame arm so she's like, I don't really need this one anymore I love logic like it I tell the ladies that um [SPEAKER_04]: It still works like brand new.
[SPEAKER_04]: I just got myself a cheeky little upgrade and I You know did something nice for myself and you can have this and you know what what just for you just because A little candy oh my god [SPEAKER_14]: I think it's oh my god between this and the robot arm you might be the kind of thing I've ever met What is what is your name?
[SPEAKER_14]: Mrs.
Trimley Pleasure to make your acquaintance.
[SPEAKER_14]: Mrs.
Trimley, thank you so much for this.
[SPEAKER_14]: I appreciate you Oh my gosh, how rude of me.
[SPEAKER_14]: My name is Amy.
[SPEAKER_14]: It's an honor.
[SPEAKER_14]: Hey, you've done a good talk with me.
[SPEAKER_14]: The ladies that the lake will always, well, could be why I appreciate you.
[SPEAKER_14]: Hey [SPEAKER_14]: Since we're already almost there, I could feel your bitty let's let's I'll let me walk you to the bus.
[SPEAKER_04]: Oh darling The way that you do it No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, [SPEAKER_14]: Yeah, we're basically there anyway, so it's just a little bit You go on ahead, that I can see it just fine Alright, that pretty see it, you thank you so much, Mr.
Bly Oh, I'm sorry, I don't really want to ask too much of you since you've already done so much But it's just so far for me, if you ever go near the power plant, uh, can you find something that looks like [SPEAKER_14]: powerful or cool.
[SPEAKER_14]: I'd really love it if if you picked it up and I took it to the ladies I would go myself but you have just so much water and it's so far and I can't jump that far business trembling.
[SPEAKER_14]: I've tried it's no difficult.
[SPEAKER_04]: No, well, of course.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah, and it's just, if you end up going and the end of getting something really powerful and you bring it back to the ladies, we can pay you so much what they can pay you so much money.
[SPEAKER_04]: Well, I really appreciate it.
[SPEAKER_04]: You know, and she's sort of unfurls and holds out her apron, which is carrying this sick bird.
[SPEAKER_04]: And she goes, I would love to.
[SPEAKER_04]: You don't know how much I think about going to see the ladies.
[SPEAKER_04]: I think about it quite often and one day when I'm good and retired That will be top not shun my list, but for now I really have to stick with my dear little Robin here because I have to stay with them until they come of age And that's my job to make sure that they grow up big and strong, you know.
[SPEAKER_14]: Wow, I'm extremely or though nope [SPEAKER_14]: So you said that is that's a Robin that you're holding.
[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, no.
[SPEAKER_04]: His name is Robin.
[SPEAKER_15]: Oh, okay.
[SPEAKER_15]: Wow.
[SPEAKER_15]: Well, that's really cool.
[SPEAKER_15]: Wait.
[SPEAKER_15]: I don't get it.
[SPEAKER_15]: What is it then?
[SPEAKER_14]: No, it's a pigeon.
[SPEAKER_14]: Oh, it's a it's a.
Oh, it's a pigeon named Robin.
[SPEAKER_14]: That's the cleverness.
[SPEAKER_04]: But when he's all grown and he can go out into the world on his own.
[SPEAKER_04]: Then you mark your words, I will be on my way.
[SPEAKER_15]: Thank you, Mrs.
Trimbley.
[SPEAKER_15]: Okay, well, I guess it's time for me to go.
[SPEAKER_15]: Please thank you so much.
[SPEAKER_15]: I hope you have a beautiful day.
[SPEAKER_04]: Another thing, you never know who's around the corner.
[SPEAKER_04]: Thank goodness it was me earlier, but that could have been a young, impressionable child.
[SPEAKER_04]: So watch your language.
[SPEAKER_13]: Yes, Mrs.
Trimbley.
[SPEAKER_14]: And as they fall away, you can hear after a bit of you waiting at the bus, so you hear like, and then you hear it off beans, oh beans, and they clam with himself back up.
[SPEAKER_04]: Good good and she claps her little claws.
[SPEAKER_14]: As you sit and are waiting for the bus, you hit the clopping of hooves.
[SPEAKER_14]: As you look down the street, you see a few of the knights of the kings of Mahat.
[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, bother.
[SPEAKER_14]: These are mages, they dress in robes, and they have these big staffs with these big green irradiated rods in the center.
[SPEAKER_14]: As you look at them, they look towards you, they give you a nod, and as they walk away, we look at that irradiated center, and as we zoom into the irradiated center of this staff, [SPEAKER_14]: Now, church might be a strong word for this place.
[SPEAKER_14]: The people love it, like a church.
[SPEAKER_14]: A radiation rods, a dawn, the building, lighting the inside of it like candles.
[SPEAKER_14]: The floor is clean, food is stocked.
[SPEAKER_14]: This place doesn't receive a lot of visitors on account of all of the radiation poisoning that most people experience, but the children of Adam are a new group.
[SPEAKER_14]: and their appreciation and love for radiation has let them settle in easily with the kings of Mahat.
[SPEAKER_14]: Although this particular church is a little empty, there is one person who kneels.
[SPEAKER_14]: Bixie, you describe your character please.
[SPEAKER_08]: absolutely.
[SPEAKER_08]: I just have to recover from all of you beauty that just happened in the last like 20 minutes Jesus Christ.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, kneeling in this church is a woman who always asks herself the question, why when I turn around a corner do people go, [SPEAKER_08]: And the answer is very clear, because there is a, [SPEAKER_08]: truly a brick shit house of a woman, 510, 511, maybe, absolutely wide as tall.
[SPEAKER_08]: She's wearing these clothes that are kind of like, cobbled together from a bunch of different kinds of clothing in order to be a little tougher, so like kind of built on top of what [SPEAKER_08]: her face is slightly popped on one side from radiation and also on that side all of her hair has been shaving off and so it's kind of like a short crop that sweeps to the other side and just she's [SPEAKER_08]: she's kneeling right now, whenever she's in a standing position, she's got her arms crossed like this and just has this murderous expression that she absolutely never realizes that she's wearing.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, she's kneeled there at the church, casting her eyes up to the radiation above.
[SPEAKER_14]: What does it do you think that Bixie thinks about in these times of meditation?
[SPEAKER_08]: I think, Pixie's not the sharpest.
[SPEAKER_08]: She's sharp in other ways, but she's not necessarily a great thinker.
[SPEAKER_08]: And so a lot of kneeling for Pix is...
[SPEAKER_08]: a practice in clearing the mind as much as possible.
[SPEAKER_08]: Because when people tell her that she should be praying, she's not exactly sure what she's supposed to be praying to.
[SPEAKER_08]: So when they make her do it out loud, it kind of goes along the lines of like, thank you to radiation.
[SPEAKER_08]: because it's good and I like it so that's kind of if there were thoughts they would deal with it.
[SPEAKER_14]: You hear someone enter the church behind you this is a a ghoul she is one of the heads of this church is a sister daisy cutter she is as I said one of the heads is remaining in my hat for now [SPEAKER_14]: You know that you were called in here because there is a small task that Father Moscow has, and is a you were asked to come here to then go into Brooklyn to kind of help with the journey and help inspire people to join the children of Adam.
[SPEAKER_14]: Pixie, thank you so much for coming.
[SPEAKER_14]: How go the daily press?
[SPEAKER_08]: Really good.
[SPEAKER_08]: Always good.
[SPEAKER_08]: Amazing.
[SPEAKER_14]: That's good, marvelous.
[SPEAKER_14]: We thank the radiation for the lights that it gives us.
[SPEAKER_08]: I'm always thanking the radiation.
[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah, good.
[SPEAKER_14]: As we should.
[SPEAKER_14]: Father Moscow, just signaled me in.
[SPEAKER_14]: Apparently there is a...
[SPEAKER_14]: Promising young recruit who we would like you to help with a small endeavor in Brooklyn and then hopefully try to teach them the ways of the church and then later on we'll spend more time on in the tourney We have a good relationship with the kings and I hope that this will remain [SPEAKER_08]: I, you know, I am always happy to tell anyone about the Church of Adam and some people have told me that I'm good with words.
[SPEAKER_14]: Yes, let's hope some of those people are there today, I think, that would be good for us.
[SPEAKER_14]: How are you feeling?
[SPEAKER_08]: Um, it's big here, it's a lot bigger than back where we're from, and there's a lot less people trying to kill you, there's not much less, but a lot, you know, less, and that's good.
[SPEAKER_14]: Yes, well, we have the kings to thank for that today, run a tight ship, so to speak.
[SPEAKER_08]: Do you think are we hoping that they'll join the church?
[SPEAKER_08]: What's...
[SPEAKER_14]: I'm...
We are...
hopeful that...
After some time, they will realise that their appreciation for radiation is much the same as ours.
[SPEAKER_14]: And...
We can...
Help them see the...
[SPEAKER_14]: Of course, of course, full of Moscow.
[SPEAKER_14]: He's expecting you in Brooklyn.
[SPEAKER_14]: Again, I know it might be scary going and trying to convince people to join us, but maybe if we can get this one, the kings have told us that [SPEAKER_14]: They're a fault-tweller and new to this area, so.
[SPEAKER_14]: We can hate to get in early.
[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, you know, sometimes I just go up to people and I say, you should join and they go anything you say so.
[SPEAKER_14]: And it's so effective.
[SPEAKER_14]: It's really effective.
[SPEAKER_14]: We have have we have so many people join the church that way and we really, really appreciate that.
[SPEAKER_14]: Really do thank you so much for that.
[SPEAKER_14]: Absolutely.
[SPEAKER_14]: It's why you've been rising like the ranks so so quickly here.
[SPEAKER_14]: That kind of hopeful aggression really sings for us.
[SPEAKER_08]: It's just thought that it was, I, you know, I put on my best smile and, yeah, yeah, that's good.
[SPEAKER_14]: You smile?
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I'm smiling right now.
[SPEAKER_14]: Oh, great.
[SPEAKER_14]: This will go well.
[SPEAKER_14]: This will go well today.
[SPEAKER_14]: Good, well, fixie, whenever you're ready.
[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah, I'll get going.
[SPEAKER_14]: As you go outside and you find some of the kings who are like they have some supplies and they're about to ship their way over to Brooklyn himself.
[SPEAKER_14]: You join them and then ride across the half destroyed Brooklyn Bridge to the...
[SPEAKER_14]: kind of shrine, kind of like make shift church that exists in Brooklyn and then walking inside.
[SPEAKER_14]: You see Father Moscow, kneeling also praying and you also see a [SPEAKER_14]: vaults dwelling.
[SPEAKER_14]: What do we think Philly has been doing in this time?
[SPEAKER_07]: I think she's probably like dusting things.
[SPEAKER_07]: He's a little old man.
[SPEAKER_07]: So I imagine if there's anything that needs to be tidied in this room just generally being respectful to her elders.
[SPEAKER_07]: That's what she would be doing if she were back in her vault.
[SPEAKER_07]: She would be going around to the older people's rooms, making sure they're okay, checking on.
[SPEAKER_07]: the people who have children, right, like the families that are existing in these spaces.
[SPEAKER_07]: And just kind of being a good fellow, vault person.
[SPEAKER_07]: So I think that that's probably what she's doing.
[SPEAKER_07]: She's just kind of busy herself, not [SPEAKER_07]: She's trying not to intrude, so she's not like opening drawers or cabinets or something like that.
[SPEAKER_07]: She's not looking rightfully into paperwork, but she is trying to just straighten things.
[SPEAKER_07]: If there's dust on stuff, she wipes it off.
[SPEAKER_07]: If there's a broom somewhere, she might broom some stuff, do a little sweeping.
[SPEAKER_14]: There has been no one in here since Philly you arrived.
[SPEAKER_14]: So Pixie's entrance is notable only because someone else has walked in.
[SPEAKER_14]: Follow Moscow turns.
[SPEAKER_14]: Bixie, thank you so much for coming.
[SPEAKER_14]: This is Filomena.
[SPEAKER_14]: Filomena, this is Bixie.
[SPEAKER_06]: Hello, it's nice to meet you.
[SPEAKER_14]: You're the recruit.
[SPEAKER_14]: Recruit?
[SPEAKER_14]: No, it's not, it's not recruit.
[SPEAKER_07]: I'm here to help and assist.
[SPEAKER_07]: Right, thank you.
[SPEAKER_06]: Everything your father must go.
[SPEAKER_06]: Is there something I can do for you?
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, it's nice to meet you.
[SPEAKER_14]: We don't have a lot of people who can journey outside of settlements in our small community that we have.
[SPEAKER_14]: Pixie is what we would call kind of a bit like the muscle as a powerful brain and radiation has really touched every part of their body.
[SPEAKER_14]: Pixie, we, we've, we've, we've, we've, we've, we've, we've, we've, we've, we've, we've, we've, we've, we've, we've, we've, we've, we've, we've, we've, we've, we've, we've, we've, we've, we've, we've, we've, we've, we've, we've, we've, we've, we've, we've, we've, we've, we've, we've, we've, we've, we've, we've, we've, we've, we've, we've, we've, [SPEAKER_14]: I've been having trouble with the electricity.
[SPEAKER_14]: Brooklyn has been taking all the power from us, and what we would like to do is just, if we, you want me to go take it back?
[SPEAKER_14]: Go to the power station and just try to reroute the power back to us would be really appreciated.
[SPEAKER_14]: And Philly will be there to help you on your journey.
[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, what do you do?
[SPEAKER_06]: What do you mean?
[SPEAKER_07]: I do hit, shoot, talk, I mean, I definitely talk, yes, I talk quite a bit.
[SPEAKER_07]: I've been told, hitting, hitting I'm a little less clear on, I don't really, I mean, I guess if I had to hit someone, I could, I do know how to fire a gun.
[SPEAKER_07]: Do you want me to show you how to, yes, honestly, I am here to learn as much as possible.
[SPEAKER_08]: And I turned to father Moscow, and I just like, I know social graces, it's not the lowest charisma ever, but it's a little low, it's unintentional, points to Philly and goes, good, at talking.
[SPEAKER_14]: Fairly good, awards per minute, Speaker.
[SPEAKER_08]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_08]: I have a few, so that's good.
[SPEAKER_08]: Okay, good.
[SPEAKER_14]: Ah, yeah, let's go.
[SPEAKER_14]: My apologies, Philomena.
[SPEAKER_14]: Would you mind if I, and then points towards your pit boy in, like, they want to input something in it?
[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, yeah, please, of course.
[SPEAKER_07]: She holds at her arm, exuberantly.
[SPEAKER_14]: Father Moscow will go to the map screen that you have, and then set a little marker as to where the power point will be.
[SPEAKER_14]: If you make your way over there, it shouldn't be too much trouble, but just in case you get lost.
[SPEAKER_07]: Thank you.
[SPEAKER_07]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_07]: She takes the paper one out of her little pocket and puts a similar marker on that.
[SPEAKER_15]: Mark's right.
[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_07]: But in pencil.
[SPEAKER_07]: It's amazing.
[SPEAKER_07]: That's back.
[SPEAKER_07]: It's a little thing.
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, it's, there's nothing wrong with having backups.
[SPEAKER_07]: No.
[SPEAKER_14]: No.
[SPEAKER_14]: Very good.
[SPEAKER_14]: I understand completely.
[SPEAKER_14]: Well, best of luck to both of you.
[SPEAKER_14]: Filly for yourself.
[SPEAKER_14]: I think I can spare.
[SPEAKER_14]: 100 maybe 200 caps.
[SPEAKER_14]: If you managed to reroute the power to us.
[SPEAKER_07]: Oh my goodness, Philly's eyes are like, didn't play it's, she's really fun finding out that there's a lot of her money to do this.
[SPEAKER_07]: In the vault, we don't really need bought, we don't really need caps for anything, right?
[SPEAKER_07]: We're like, in the vault, we do our stuff, we have our life.
[SPEAKER_07]: But when she leaves, she understands that it's important to other people so like having like money and income.
[SPEAKER_07]: So I think she's really jazzed and she kind of turns to Bix.
[SPEAKER_07]: Okay, so fight, who are we fighting?
[SPEAKER_07]: anyone.
[SPEAKER_07]: I'm a beginner.
[SPEAKER_07]: What would you recommend?
[SPEAKER_08]: Do you want to punch?
[SPEAKER_08]: Maybe?
[SPEAKER_08]: I also have, um, and Bixie just starts like pulling out like, there's a machete, uh, gamma gun.
[SPEAKER_08]: That one's really shiny.
[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_07]: I'm not supposed to let anyone else shoot this one.
[SPEAKER_07]: That's fair.
[SPEAKER_07]: That's fair.
[SPEAKER_07]: I probably shouldn't anyway.
[SPEAKER_07]: I get, I don't really.
[SPEAKER_07]: What is, I think you're supposed to change.
[SPEAKER_07]: I'm changing it.
[SPEAKER_08]: kind of lifts you up and down.
[SPEAKER_07]: She straightens up to like the full five six and tries to square the shoulders a little bit to look very official.
[SPEAKER_07]: She does look like she has a shark eye though especially that like a little slick one.
[SPEAKER_07]: It looks a little weird but also looks like maybe she has okay perception.
[SPEAKER_07]: So I think she kind of looks at you and deflate a little bit [SPEAKER_07]: I'll be honest.
[SPEAKER_07]: I'm not really the muscle where I come from.
[SPEAKER_07]: I am good with talking though.
[SPEAKER_07]: I promise I know that right now I'm not doing the best job making friends with you, but I'm gonna keep trying.
[SPEAKER_07]: I like you You too.
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, you have nice clothes.
[SPEAKER_06]: Oh god, it's so sweet.
[SPEAKER_07]: Okay, all right, all right.
[SPEAKER_07]: We're doing okay then.
[SPEAKER_15]: Okay [SPEAKER_07]: She looks to you like, where are we going, friend?
[SPEAKER_07]: I don't mean, where you start heading towards the power station, I think.
[SPEAKER_14]: As you make your way toward the power station, you both passed by a bus stop.
[SPEAKER_14]: An electric sign on it says, delayed.
[SPEAKER_14]: And then we see a bus, a well-loved and well-used bus.
[SPEAKER_14]: Rough foam seats, not yet completely rotted, solid windows that have been replaced several times.
[SPEAKER_14]: The love and care put into it shines through every angle.
[SPEAKER_14]: The only part that betrays this is an open-hood and a large plume of smoke coming from the engine.
[SPEAKER_14]: Underneath this hurt is a ghoul crash, why should describe yourself?
[SPEAKER_02]: I roll out from under covered in gritten crime.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm an old man.
[SPEAKER_02]: An old man who had been around these parts a long time.
[SPEAKER_02]: Been a year since the bombs dropped and I dropped to talking about my balls.
[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm wearing overalls and I've got it.
[SPEAKER_02]: Sorry.
[SPEAKER_02]: I apologize.
[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't realize that.
[SPEAKER_02]: I was just talking.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I was just talking.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm wearing formerly blue overalls, I say formerly because they've been through the dust and dirt for so long, I don't think I remember what blue was.
[SPEAKER_02]: I wear just a cut off, a cut off t-shirt under it.
[SPEAKER_02]: We're in a little...
A duster.
[SPEAKER_02]: I have a duster sitting on the side of the...
sitting on the side of the hood.
[SPEAKER_02]: Just hanging down, giving me some block from the sun, so I don't feel like I'm sweating too bad, when I punched over on the edge.
[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, wiping off my hands.
[SPEAKER_02]: Got a little bit of hair, got a little bit, and as I come up, I slick it back, as much as I can, the five strands I have left.
[SPEAKER_02]: And I throw a little news cap over the top.
[SPEAKER_02]: Good is new!
[SPEAKER_02]: And I lower the hood with the smirks still coming out.
[SPEAKER_14]: You have fixed this engine.
[SPEAKER_11]: A million times.
[SPEAKER_11]: A billion times.
[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah, you know how to make this baby sing.
[SPEAKER_14]: Sing poorly she does but sing.
[SPEAKER_14]: Sing definitely does.
[SPEAKER_02]: Don't need to be on tune to be a song.
[SPEAKER_14]: As you roll out from under.
[SPEAKER_14]: person who is a mechanic in Brooklyn, you're in beautiful Brooklyn, you know that the tourney is going on somewhere on the outskirts of the main city and most people in Brooklyn have yet to go over there.
[SPEAKER_14]: They don't really have much interest.
[SPEAKER_14]: This is a quiet bus day for you as pretty much every bus day is, but you see a mechanic walking over to you.
[SPEAKER_14]: Another [SPEAKER_14]: old now older than you looks like toward kind of the end of that ghoul cycle ghouls are a mortal but sometimes people have been injured so many times that it's like this guys this guys their bones become a lock they break so often the show it to speak come hard oh hey they're quash how's all best you doing [SPEAKER_02]: Ah, you know, I've seen broke down on me about three blocks back, I threw my harness on to polar to get to a good spot and I lift, I have the, I pull out the straps, the retractable straps that come out of the front of the grill plate that I case that I obviously, anytime I can't get her to a good spot to work on her, I will put it on like a pack mule and walk her while it's in neutral.
[SPEAKER_02]: She's been giving me a hard time.
[SPEAKER_02]: The last few cells I threw in her.
[SPEAKER_02]: I knew her weren't as purified as I needed.
[SPEAKER_02]: But you know, she's never failed me and I've never failed her.
[SPEAKER_02]: You're looking to give me a hand?
[SPEAKER_15]: Well, yes, no clue.
[SPEAKER_15]: I can picture up.
[SPEAKER_15]: But I'm here, because French is just looking for you.
[SPEAKER_02]: Ah, that's never good.
[SPEAKER_15]: Well, I don't really know why she just wanted to know if you're going to shouldn't wait a day.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I typically go a lot of ways.
[SPEAKER_02]: I appreciate you all right.
[SPEAKER_15]: Well, she's just waiting outside so I'll go bring her in Why should speak to her?
[SPEAKER_15]: I'll get to work on the truck [SPEAKER_14]: He hobbles over to throw a door and then out of the other side walks David walks back in with Francis who to most people, even inside Brooklyn but to most people outside is known as Morgana.
[SPEAKER_14]: She's the leader of the Brooklyn settlement, a cold woman who asks too much of you and rarely [SPEAKER_14]: Google told the opposite to Dave and stood next to her where as he is hobbles an old she is tall and proper Crash, I see you've got your bus fixed Yeah, I took awhile.
[SPEAKER_13]: How you doing, Google friend Francis, please You know about the tourney.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah, I dragged Sir Pooops a lot in the other a couple hours ago You look nice and holly-toydy ready to throw some lances rusted through Great [SPEAKER_13]: Well, I know that you know that's proclaim God handle the electricity that we're normally outputting, and now with the kings, we need someone to go to the power station and reroute the power back to us.
[SPEAKER_13]: I assume you're free.
[SPEAKER_02]: Ah, what are you gonna do for me?
[SPEAKER_02]: You gotta me, uh, spare cells laying around so I can keep this baby purring.
[SPEAKER_13]: A good deed is its own reward.
[SPEAKER_13]: We are doing this for the good of community.
[SPEAKER_13]: Or all of us.
[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, hey.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm all for charity.
[SPEAKER_02]: I do it every day.
[SPEAKER_02]: I still only charge three caps for fair.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's enough charity for me.
[SPEAKER_02]: But it's okay.
[SPEAKER_02]: Because you've been so, so nice to me in the past.
[SPEAKER_02]: Never not kind.
[SPEAKER_02]: I will do it for you.
[SPEAKER_02]: and I look over at David and I, I'm being sarcastic.
[SPEAKER_14]: Hey yeah, it's surely got you French just not this last on you kid Well when both of you are quite done We have work to do.
[SPEAKER_13]: I know you Love spending time with this hunk of junk bucket of bolts, but we need things to be fixed Okay, okay, listen.
[SPEAKER_02]: I know you need a I know you need your electricity for your sea pat machines So you can sleep like a princess, but don't call my thing a hunk of junk, okay?
[SPEAKER_02]: This may be a bucket of bolts, but every single one of them, lathered in my love.
[SPEAKER_14]: I think you need to change the way you speak to me.
[SPEAKER_14]: I am your boss, after all.
[SPEAKER_02]: I apologize.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's hot.
[SPEAKER_02]: Had to drag this baby through three blocks, down from 4th to 6th, and I'm not happy about it.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's not your fault.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's not like you pay me though.
[SPEAKER_02]: So what are you really the boss of?
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm with love, with love, and I'm still doing it for you.
[SPEAKER_02]: And I wink.
[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_14]: Well, with love, I am the boss of this settlement.
[SPEAKER_14]: I'm the boss of making sure that you eat the people around you eat.
[SPEAKER_14]: I'm the boss of making sure that people have the caps to pay.
[SPEAKER_14]: I'm the boss of making sure that people don't die.
[SPEAKER_14]: I die.
[SPEAKER_02]: You're right.
[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
[SPEAKER_02]: Logistics Mastermind over here.
[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm happy to be your wheels.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'll go check it out.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'll make sure I'm ready for other.
[SPEAKER_02]: The Rad Rats to kick them like those.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'll wear my steel caps.
[SPEAKER_13]: Well, there will be some Rad Roaches.
[SPEAKER_13]: Maybe they just got too far into the system and it's making it short more than it normally should.
[SPEAKER_13]: I did say that the kings could use some of the power, but this is ridiculous.
[SPEAKER_14]: Make sure to bring your musket, make sure to bring your bus.
[SPEAKER_14]: And I'm sure your efforts will be greatly rewarded.
[SPEAKER_02]: Roaches ain't worth Bessie, okay?
[SPEAKER_02]: Roaches ain't worth her.
[SPEAKER_02]: But I'll use what I need.
[SPEAKER_02]: I know, I know, I'm just being cranky, I hate bugs.
[SPEAKER_02]: I hate the heat, and you're asking me to deal with both at the same time.
[SPEAKER_02]: And I'll do it with love.
[SPEAKER_15]: with love but of course I'll be a little grumpy about it of course the community appreciates your efforts you need a ride David oh well I definitely wouldn't mind they we're just gonna walk home but by the time I get back it would be time for me to leave again you know I'll slow I get oh yeah oh yeah I like as much as I love to see you water [SPEAKER_02]: I'd love to see you sit, too, sometimes, because you make my bones hurt.
[SPEAKER_14]: Thank you.
[SPEAKER_14]: I appreciate you.
[SPEAKER_14]: David Hubble's on and puts three caps in the, in the machine, and looks at the back.
[SPEAKER_02]: And they, they, they fall in, and they just fall out into a little shit back here.
[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you.
[SPEAKER_02]: Go ahead.
[SPEAKER_02]: Fall to the rust.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: So the counter goes up, but they just fall into the rusted bucket.
[SPEAKER_02]: I grab, and I give them back to him, and I say, you don't pay.
[SPEAKER_15]: I offer.
[SPEAKER_15]: Ah, what a way we go, Dan.
[SPEAKER_02]: And I, uh, I sit there with my hand crank as I start her up, and I'm spinning and spinning and spinning and you watch, and I lift my leg up, comically high, and crack my foot into the clutch, if you hear the word.
[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, how is that thing alive?
[SPEAKER_02]: I slamer into first gear, and then it doesn't, I don't start feeling any pulse or I slamer into third gear, and it starts moving, and I rub the dashboard, and then I flick the little Hawaiian dancer wobble like I have on my dashboard.
[SPEAKER_14]: Radiation bleach to level up, yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, there are rod and holes through the plastic, and I flick it, and I go, [SPEAKER_02]: I don't wonder if he'll grow up.
[SPEAKER_11]: I don't wonder if he'll grow up.
[SPEAKER_11]: I don't wonder if he'll grow up.
[SPEAKER_14]: I don't wonder if he'll grow up.
[SPEAKER_14]: I don't wonder if he'll grow up.
[SPEAKER_14]: I don't wonder if he'll grow up.
[SPEAKER_14]: I don't wonder if he'll grow up.
[SPEAKER_14]: I don't wonder if he'll grow up.
[SPEAKER_14]: I don't wonder if he'll grow up.
[SPEAKER_14]: I don't wonder if he'll grow up.
[SPEAKER_14]: I don't wonder if he'll grow up.
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't wonder if he'll grow up.
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't wonder if he'll [SPEAKER_04]: I assure you I don't know who you're talking to Mister Cooper.
[SPEAKER_04]: Come on up She takes a seat and and fluffs out her little apron [SPEAKER_04]: starts to cool a little song at Robin, and then, uh, oh, Mr.
Cooper, I hope you're having just a lovely day.
[SPEAKER_04]: Robin and I are just headed into town to try to pick up some more seed for Robin, and of course all of Robin's friends, because please, if there's not a day that that little fella has a million friends [SPEAKER_04]: And I've got to feed every single mouth.
[SPEAKER_02]: Speaking of seed, and I grabbed my duster that's hung up next to the seed.
[SPEAKER_02]: I reach into the pockets and I'm patting them.
[SPEAKER_02]: in there somewhere.
[SPEAKER_02]: I pull out a vacuum tight pack of seeds and I go found something.
[SPEAKER_02]: Someone couldn't pay.
[SPEAKER_02]: They gave me these and said they could plant a bean stalk.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not one for wishes.
[SPEAKER_02]: And I toss you soon.
[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, that's very nice.
[SPEAKER_04]: I suppose I have other things I can still [SPEAKER_04]: This will do very well.
[SPEAKER_04]: Thank you, and you're sure you don't want them.
[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, a bean stalk?
[SPEAKER_02]: Not a big bean guy, and I don't like stalking.
[SPEAKER_02]: But thank you for the offer.
[SPEAKER_04]: Have you had any nice riders with you today?
[SPEAKER_04]: I just your back to David how are you today we are doing just fine robin and I are taking a little run to do some errands and then it's back to hosting hosting a well pants is also doing a little bit of doing a little bit of errands later apparently there's something wrong with the with the power plan so we're going to go fix it.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you say we, I appreciate the offer David, but again, if I have to pick you up and carry you out and have another building because you can't get your right knee to work, my right knee is going to stop working.
[SPEAKER_15]: Well, fine, you can try to fix it yourself then, but I know that you're ain't going to make it.
[SPEAKER_15]: You ain't got none of the repair skills that I do.
[SPEAKER_15]: Look at this place.
[SPEAKER_04]: This.
[SPEAKER_04]: This bus is the best running bus that Mahat has ever seen, or proclaim for that matter, Cooper runs a very, very good establishment here.
[SPEAKER_02]: If I had normal blood vessels in my face, it'd be blushing.
[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you, Mrs.
Trimley.
[SPEAKER_02]: David, if you really want to help, maybe I could bring you a long, but it's going to be a lot of, it's going to be a lot of the king of the hill protecting you from all the roaches.
[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah, well, you see, I should have done the reason why I should be going.
[SPEAKER_15]: You can't be going up there alone.
[SPEAKER_02]: I got my bug stompers on and I left up my boot.
[SPEAKER_02]: I call him steal-toe, but it's just because I wrapped it in a shitty little piece of iron.
[SPEAKER_02]: And he's ironed and nailed it in with shorts, with short nails, got my bug stompers.
[SPEAKER_15]: Alright, alright, fine.
[SPEAKER_15]: Well, Mr.
and Blis very gnash to be seen you again.
[SPEAKER_04]: And it was nice to see you too, now you'll be quite respectful to Mr.
Cooper when you're riding his bus.
[SPEAKER_14]: Alright, alright, fine.
[SPEAKER_14]: You you enter back into Brooklyn and then David hobbled off.
[SPEAKER_02]: I cheated both of you and I stayed See you David We're still doing dinner on Sunday if you're gonna pick you up on the rounds.
[SPEAKER_14]: Oh Now we'll be lovely.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'll bring some devil eggs Sprys those chicken still work Well, we make them [SPEAKER_02]: No, that's right, and I, I've pulled my door closed.
[SPEAKER_11]: I can't find the right.
[SPEAKER_08]: Suddenly scared of David.
[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_08]: Do you make them?
[SPEAKER_07]: What are you doing to the children's mother?
[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: I want it to be noted that the entire time that David is writing, I had my hand in the gap between the bust wall and my seat.
[SPEAKER_02]: You know what they say?
[SPEAKER_02]: And you know what they say, Mr.
Embley, keep your friends close.
[SPEAKER_02]: And the friends they'll feel just a bit closer.
[SPEAKER_04]: Are they saying that now?
[SPEAKER_02]: I know I am.
[SPEAKER_02]: So someone had to say it first because I'm no, I'm no first-come-person of kind of guy.
[SPEAKER_04]: I think I think that your prudence is very, very well-earned, but I think you should always be open to new friendship.
[SPEAKER_04]: You may not, you may not want to trust people, but you know, [SPEAKER_04]: Times like these, it's very challenging to make new friends, and you should be more open.
[SPEAKER_02]: I had a Mr.
[SPEAKER_02]: Handy hold a gun to my head for six hours until a peatman pants.
[SPEAKER_02]: And I love you, but I've learned my lesson.
[SPEAKER_04]: Well, I miss it's Trimbley.
[SPEAKER_04]: I know.
[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, you never made me pee my pants, Mrs.
Trimbley, and that's enough for me.
[SPEAKER_04]: Good.
[SPEAKER_04]: I'm so glad to be out of that stage with the little Robin.
[SPEAKER_14]: As the pair of you are driving along crashed your two-way radio spots.
[SPEAKER_14]: uh...
either crash uh...
more gunners getting real twisted about getting that power plan fixed i don't know where you are in your journey but could you just make one quick stop before you finish it i grabbed the i got the receiver and teller i love her to send my love and i hit i pull it back over and i grab it again [SPEAKER_02]: Give her a wink for me, and ch-over, put it back.
[SPEAKER_02]: I fucking hate that lady, Mrs.
Trembley.
[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, well, it's such a strong word.
[SPEAKER_02]: I know, we're all doing our job, but you know what I never do.
[SPEAKER_02]: Ask someone else to pick up my shit.
[SPEAKER_02]: When I shit, I pick it up.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's right.
[SPEAKER_02]: Throw that lady loves to delegate, and I throw her back in a year.
[SPEAKER_04]: but you'll, but you're still going to do what she asked.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I never don't.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's the problem.
[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like I'm allowed to be a little snarky about it sometimes.
[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like I've earned it in my, and I look at my, I look at my wrist where I have a little sheet of notes for myself.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's my name, how many years I've been alive that's marked off each year?
[SPEAKER_02]: Because in case I turn feral, I wanna make sure I have some information on them.
[SPEAKER_02]: So I look down and I've been I go for my 200 hold on.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's a little smudged.
[SPEAKER_02]: In my 200 some years, I still do what everyone asks.
[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm gonna be put, come on.
[SPEAKER_02]: Can't have been old man, yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: I just wanna be a cranky old man on a porch.
[SPEAKER_02]: Y'all in at the neighbors kid.
[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, wouldn't we be just the pair?
[SPEAKER_04]: The two of us out on a little balcony?
[SPEAKER_02]: Google wife and you help and raise your kids.
[SPEAKER_02]: If only we could have them.
[SPEAKER_02]: No need to get sad though, we got to go kill some roaches.
[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, that sounds perfectly dreadful.
[SPEAKER_04]: And I'm very, I'm very sure you'll do a fine job.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'll drop you off at the next one.
[SPEAKER_04]: Thank you, Mr.
Cooper.
[SPEAKER_14]: And I keep on trucking.
[SPEAKER_14]: as the bus turns and starts driving towards the power plant for one quick stop.
[SPEAKER_14]: On the dirt road up, crash, you see.
[SPEAKER_14]: Two people walking up the dirt road.
[SPEAKER_14]: Filly Bix, what do the pair of you look like as you're?
[SPEAKER_14]: Trudging you way up to the power plant.
[SPEAKER_08]: Totally up to you, filimita.
[SPEAKER_08]: But I feel like there may have been one point.
[SPEAKER_08]: Is it uphill, Robin?
[SPEAKER_08]: It's uphill, yeah.
[SPEAKER_08]: There's just like one point where we're walking and maybe like you get a little tired and Bixis like, come on.
[SPEAKER_08]: And just like, pop, see what her shoulder is kind of like carrying you like this if you're good with it.
[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, I think I think she's super good with it before she pops onto your back.
[SPEAKER_07]: She takes out her little map.
[SPEAKER_07]: And she's like kind of like, it's almost like she's holding onto you with her arms over your shoulder and her legs dangling.
[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_07]: And it's kind of like looking around and kind of talking to you like in your ear and making [SPEAKER_07]: a lot of conversation just chatting about like where she's from and who are you and do you have siblings and what is your family like and where are you from and all of that like very in very very many grabbering yeah so many I don't know as siblings I don't know [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, I think when you see the two people approaching you, the smaller one who is a ghoul is extremely excited, and they begin waving at you excitedly and then get down.
[SPEAKER_07]: I think how tall is your character?
[SPEAKER_07]: How tall is Bix?
[SPEAKER_07]: Uh, like 5-10, not too high.
[SPEAKER_07]: Okay, so I think like she goes to like get down And makes a bigger production that it needs to be because you're not as large, but in her mind She's like on a giant So she pops down Feeling very confident and kind of waves at the bus and then looks at you Sorry, I the bus is coming.
[SPEAKER_07]: Oh I have a friend on the bus [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, Robin, would I know, like, crashes, loyalties because I've ridden the bus before?
[SPEAKER_14]: I don't know.
[SPEAKER_14]: How much does Crash talk about that feelings to the King's in Brooklyn and whatnot?
[SPEAKER_02]: Other than a couple of passing jokes about, uh, everybody, a little bit of everybody's expense.
[SPEAKER_02]: I help, I've pretty much have done an errand for every...
[SPEAKER_02]: factoring in New York at this point.
[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't let my loyalties lie to deep.
[SPEAKER_02]: So I wouldn't really talk much about.
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't, I don't necessarily, there are ones that I like more than others, and ones that I may hate.
[SPEAKER_02]: There's some people that are part of the likes of stuff, but I don't really think about it.
[SPEAKER_18]: Only if it comes to conversation, I may hit the nasty as grim as you ever seen.
[SPEAKER_08]: Cool.
[SPEAKER_08]: So this is helpful for my reaction.
[SPEAKER_08]: They just kind of nods and goes, yeah, it's the bus.
[SPEAKER_07]: Yes, uh, but do you do you but do you know the bus driver?
[SPEAKER_08]: Here's only one bus driver.
[SPEAKER_07]: Right, do you do you know him?
[SPEAKER_07]: He's super nice.
[SPEAKER_11]: Hmm.
[SPEAKER_07]: His name is Mr.
Cooper, but he keeps telling me that I should call him crash, but also, you know, we're just getting to know each other.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_08]: It's just like a high flush on fixing sheets.
[SPEAKER_07]: It's really grabs your arm like those arm and arm with you.
[SPEAKER_07]: and starts pulling you toward the bus.
[SPEAKER_07]: Okay, so he has a weapon behind his seat.
[SPEAKER_07]: Uh, her name's Bertha.
[SPEAKER_07]: You're going to want to be very, very polite around Bertha.
[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know if you know this.
[SPEAKER_07]: I recognize you've probably written the bus a dozen of times.
[SPEAKER_07]: You seem like a pro.
[SPEAKER_07]: But also, these are important things that I've learned.
[SPEAKER_08]: Uh, yeah, I know his gun.
[SPEAKER_08]: Have you held her?
[SPEAKER_08]: Bix gets a far off looking her eyes and then goes, no.
[SPEAKER_02]: I think you may have wanted to and asked because it is in an energy weapon and you love yourself some alternate forms of energy.
[SPEAKER_08]: So I've seen you stare at it from maybe three seats back from the front only look literally like the the bus seats face each other Biggs gets on and like does the little like crow pose and it's just staring for Yeah, but no just like far off stare and then goes No, I haven't held it.
[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, me there.
[SPEAKER_07]: It looks really cool though [SPEAKER_08]: That's normally go to the electrical station.
[SPEAKER_07]: No?
[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, I mean, I just kind of take it for fun, so I don't really know why people use it per se.
[SPEAKER_07]: Are you saying that we can't, so we can't take the bus there?
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm slow and down.
[SPEAKER_02]: I at first it seemed like I was just gonna blow past you because I didn't feel like dealing with it but I you hear the shhhhhhh of the brakes being released and put on the pulling down the tires I slow it down I open up the doors I don't say anything and I just Good day Mr Cooper Nice to see you as usual [SPEAKER_19]: Yeah, you too, Philly.
[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, that's wonderful too.
[SPEAKER_07]: You probably already know my, um, what my friend.
[SPEAKER_07]: And Pixie.
[SPEAKER_07]: This is Pixie, Pixie.
[SPEAKER_02]: This is Mr.
Dekord's son of a Bix.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I know her.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: I know her.
[SPEAKER_02]: She's cool, right here.
[SPEAKER_08]: Up on in.
[SPEAKER_08]: Just reaches in and drops three caps silently into the till.
[SPEAKER_02]: I grab one of them and I bite it.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's insulting.
[SPEAKER_02]: It wasn't meant to be an insult, but it wouldn't be your fault if you had a fake cap.
[SPEAKER_11]: Boxing.
[SPEAKER_07]: Philly beans that you crash, and then sits down in the seat directly next to you, Pixie, and continues to talk.
[SPEAKER_06]: Um, what, what, people make fake cats?
[SPEAKER_06]: Why would anyone do that?
[SPEAKER_06]: That's so dishonest and worrisome.
[SPEAKER_08]: Spend spending money, some, some people don't have it.
[SPEAKER_06]: But how do you know if you have fake ones?
[SPEAKER_08]: Biting.
[SPEAKER_02]: on that on in that moment before I start up the bus so I hold on I reach and I pat my duster jacket pockets again and I pull out a piece of paper and a depleted fuel cell and I hand it back to Mrs.
Trimbley and I go say there for you even though you can see me give them to Mrs.
Trimbley say there from you notes for the nice one sells for the threatening one [SPEAKER_02]: And I get back in a seat, and I crack on, I comically lift up a leg, start crying again at the right moment, and I see.
[SPEAKER_04]: And Mrs.
Trimley kind of rolls back towards you both wherever you're sitting on the bus.
[SPEAKER_04]: And...
Bye!
[SPEAKER_04]: The ordinary friend, Mr.
Cooper, wanted me to give these to you.
[SPEAKER_04]: They are from me, though.
[SPEAKER_04]: I hear her say this, I just- I hear her say this, I just- She hands them out, respectively.
[SPEAKER_04]: Thank you so much.
[SPEAKER_04]: Um.
[SPEAKER_08]: Warren, ma'am.
[SPEAKER_04]: You're welcome.
[SPEAKER_04]: Have we had a chance to get acquainted?
[SPEAKER_04]: I'm Mrs.
Tripoli.
[SPEAKER_04]: Oh my goodness.
[SPEAKER_07]: You're so enchanting.
[SPEAKER_07]: We have, you know, others like you, but not nothing like you.
[SPEAKER_07]: Wow.
[SPEAKER_04]: Hi, oh, no.
[SPEAKER_04]: There could be none like me.
[SPEAKER_04]: I am Mrs.
Tripoli.
[SPEAKER_04]: I am the one responsible for making sure that Robin grows up.
[SPEAKER_04]: Robin, is that the small one here?
[SPEAKER_04]: And she unfurls her apron to a very sleepy, very, very molested pigeon that is like that is surrounded by a little bit of meat.
[SPEAKER_07]: Darling, little one.
[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, I can see that you are doing a very good job caring for this sweetheart.
[SPEAKER_07]: How?
[SPEAKER_07]: It's so nice to see that I told the people back home.
[SPEAKER_07]: There are friends everywhere, and there are good people everywhere.
[SPEAKER_04]: I'm always saying that.
[SPEAKER_04]: Really?
[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_07]: Have you been, have you been to my vault?
[SPEAKER_07]: You should come sometime.
[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, well, I tend not to go to the vaults because they are very creepy and also because well Robin needs fresh air and tending and also socialization.
[SPEAKER_04]: It's very important that they get exposed to as much of the world as possible.
[SPEAKER_04]: That's why they always come with me on errands, which is what we're out and about doing now.
[SPEAKER_04]: What brings you out into town?
[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, well.
[SPEAKER_06]: I was kind of cooped up and tired of doing the same thing every day, over and over and over again.
[SPEAKER_06]: I know I'm supposed to love being in my vault and I do.
[SPEAKER_07]: The ideals and principles of our community are second to none, but I don't want to be afraid of the outside forever.
[SPEAKER_07]: It's not that bad out here.
[SPEAKER_07]: So, every week and no, right in the bus, that's how I met Mr.
Cooper, and now he's upgraded to asking people to give me gifts, so I'd say that's a solid friendship.
[SPEAKER_04]: Really feeling full of hope.
[SPEAKER_04]: That is how he shows affection.
[SPEAKER_04]: Right?
[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, that's wonderful.
[SPEAKER_04]: And what about you, Bixie?
[SPEAKER_04]: What brings you out in the town today?
[SPEAKER_08]: Well, yeah, also we're going to the electrical station.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_08]: all that in the station.
[SPEAKER_04]: Mm-hmm.
[SPEAKER_04]: Well, is something happening there today?
[SPEAKER_04]: Is there a show or a tour or something educational?
[SPEAKER_04]: Robin and I no longer have to buy birds seed today, so maybe we could do a little something.
[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, um, yeah, you can, um, yeah.
[SPEAKER_08]: If, uh, no, there's not a show, but we're fixing things.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, it gets you too.
[SPEAKER_02]: I shit y'all from the front.
[SPEAKER_02]: I thought you guys were just taking a little tour.
[SPEAKER_02]: Thought there might be a show.
[SPEAKER_04]: That's what I was hoping, Mr.
Cooper.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_04]: For entertainment for the young Mr.
Robin.
[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, they'll be some entertainment.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, seems like the rest of you guys are all here for the same.
[SPEAKER_02]: You're looking to fix.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, never mind.
[SPEAKER_02]: Then I just...
[SPEAKER_02]: I picked you up already anyway.
[SPEAKER_02]: I know what you're here for.
[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_08]: I have the like sell in my hand and I think I I remember what this is for.
[SPEAKER_08]: I put energy inside these.
[SPEAKER_08]: So Robin, I technically have to like up this over the game, but with your permission can I say that I have a counter?
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_08]: So Bix kind of like stairs at this and then [SPEAKER_08]: you see her veins just kind of like pulse like when someone's done like a really big pump at the gym and then they kind of glow for a second and then the fusion cell like lights up and she hands it back to Mrs.
Trimbley and says that's I know how this works.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's from you right and I pull out a yeah paper bag full of caps and [SPEAKER_02]: and do the hand-off, Mr.
and Bly.
[SPEAKER_02]: And on the note that I gave you Philly, it just has.
[SPEAKER_02]: It has a new block.
[SPEAKER_02]: One that I haven't told you about, with all the people that live on it, all the people what they do, what you can get done there, what you can eat there, and what how you can get close to any of the people, like little things to know about each person.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's where Dunce lives, and then finally, you see, [SPEAKER_02]: Dunshelli and it's, you know, he's.
[SPEAKER_02]: Dunshelli makes really good rat pies.
[SPEAKER_07]: Jim, what do we?
[SPEAKER_07]: Uh, what do ghouls have for fluids?
[SPEAKER_07]: Do they have like regular fluids?
[SPEAKER_07]: Is there like an Iker?
[SPEAKER_14]: They have, they, they bleed, right?
[SPEAKER_14]: What's up?
[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah, they bleed.
[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_07]: It's an old stuff.
[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_07]: I got the normal stuff in there.
[SPEAKER_07]: So then I guess Philly looks at you crash with like tears, welling up in her eye.
[SPEAKER_07]: The one that is a bit like clouded over is like extra swirly and misty.
[SPEAKER_07]: As she kind of looks over this little map that you've drawn.
[SPEAKER_07]: And she just kind of sits back and like sinks back in her seat and takes out like a small thing of like medical tape, like all purpose tape, and tapes it to her right her map to make like an extra little page.
[SPEAKER_07]: And just kind of looks up at you.
[SPEAKER_07]: This is a very, very thoughtful gift.
[SPEAKER_07]: Thank you, sir.
[SPEAKER_02]: Not a gift, not a gift.
[SPEAKER_02]: You pay me every time you see me.
[SPEAKER_07]: I pay you for the ride, not for maps that you hand drive in my bus anyway.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'd be driving my bus anyway.
[SPEAKER_05]: That's fair.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's fair.
[SPEAKER_02]: Go on.
[SPEAKER_05]: Mrs.
Trimbley, thank you.
[SPEAKER_05]: This is a very thoughtful gift.
[SPEAKER_04]: Well, you're welcome, dear.
[SPEAKER_08]: You know, if you joined the Church of Adam, these would be free.
[SPEAKER_06]: What wouldn't be free?
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not talking to K-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P-P- [SPEAKER_02]: didn't work out.
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't like titles.
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't like bosses.
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't like.
[SPEAKER_02]: Especially, unfortunately, much love to you.
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't look like scary people that can make radiation come out of their veins.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm the kind of guy that keeps it in my body.
[SPEAKER_08]: You don't like titles.
[SPEAKER_08]: Why are you called the pants?
[SPEAKER_02]: You think I called myself that?
[SPEAKER_02]: I would have a much cooler nickname than the pants.
[SPEAKER_02]: Damn it.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'd be a cool guy, Cooper.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'd be a really good guy, not the pants.
[SPEAKER_08]: You know, if you join the church, they give you a new name.
[SPEAKER_02]: Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha [SPEAKER_04]: That's right.
[SPEAKER_02]: Sorry for very good.
[SPEAKER_02]: And I wiped the sweat that isn't coming out of my pores.
[SPEAKER_02]: Huff my forehead and make you want your eye open.
[SPEAKER_02]: We're getting close.
[SPEAKER_08]: That's okay, we were having a nice talk.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not upset with you.
[SPEAKER_02]: You're not the person that gave me the name, the pants.
[SPEAKER_02]: It was them.
[SPEAKER_03]: Them?
[SPEAKER_17]: Yeah, they did.
[SPEAKER_17]: They sort of called me the pants.
[SPEAKER_08]: Uh, sits back, so there's like a gun.
[SPEAKER_14]: You can caress the top of the hill.
[SPEAKER_14]: You can see the power plant reveals itself to you.
[SPEAKER_14]: It's old chiptred paint.
[SPEAKER_14]: It's a large sign that you used to say Rob co-power plant.
[SPEAKER_14]: And now barely says anything.
[SPEAKER_14]: You can park the bus.
[SPEAKER_14]: probably crash you have fixed this power station a couple of times so you know where to look yeah Walking up to the the warehouse and pushing open the door the four of you see a very dimly lit warehouse at stairs going up to a heavily sparking fuse box [SPEAKER_14]: that has too many electrical cables connected to it.
[SPEAKER_14]: Connected to generators that fall outside, connected to power lines that line all of Brooklyn.
[SPEAKER_14]: Inside, all full of you also here, skittering around, and you hear moaning as of someone feral and in pain, wondering around the lower part of this, of this warehouse.
[SPEAKER_14]: If you'd like, you can all attempt to sneak around and distract the things in an effort to go upstairs and try to reroute the power.
[SPEAKER_14]: Alternatively, you can just fire fight, go in, fight the things, and then try to fix it.
[SPEAKER_02]: Miss Trimbley?
[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, dear.
[SPEAKER_02]: I've never seen you in a fight.
[SPEAKER_02]: I was going to tell you to wait in the bus because I was worried about your safety.
[SPEAKER_02]: But that would be presumptuous for me.
[SPEAKER_02]: And I need all the hands I can get anyway.
[SPEAKER_02]: I think all of us do.
[SPEAKER_02]: Can I do a very...
[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
[SPEAKER_02]: Right, Philly?
[SPEAKER_02]: Philly?
[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
[SPEAKER_02]: She talks.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm worried about you more than I'm worried about Mrs.
Trimley.
[SPEAKER_02]: I see.
[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, and you oughtn't worry about me.
[SPEAKER_04]: I've been in a scraper, too, in my time.
[SPEAKER_06]: There's a range at the vault.
[SPEAKER_06]: I know how to fire gun.
[SPEAKER_06]: In case there's an incursion or I go out.
[SPEAKER_02]: Put my hand up, put my hand up.
[SPEAKER_02]: This is the first show of camaraderie that you've seen minus the maps.
[SPEAKER_07]: She looks at her hand and it looks at your hand and she's never smacked it as fast as we go.
[SPEAKER_02]: As it's only gonna win giving up, you're like sneak in and mostly disgrace your fingers against my palm.
[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, when you look at her, though, she's just breathless.
[SPEAKER_07]: She's like, oh.
[SPEAKER_02]: I just, it's nice to know that you're somewhat capable of all your dwellies.
[SPEAKER_07]: Very capable.
[SPEAKER_07]: I will say though, I do have a lot of luck diffusing situations with words and set of violence.
[SPEAKER_07]: I'd really like to try that while we're out.
[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, of course, you do, dear.
[SPEAKER_02]: Bugs don't talk.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, bugs don't talk.
[SPEAKER_02]: Now they're doing the bad ones.
[SPEAKER_02]: Now they're doing the bad ones.
[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, that's fair, that's fair, but we might need people to tell us which way to go, or we might need people to sell us stuff.
[SPEAKER_06]: And I would recommend a friendly face and an upbeat attitude to make the most out of those situations.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, me too.
[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, absolutely dare.
[SPEAKER_02]: What do you want to do, Mrs.
Trimbley?
[SPEAKER_02]: You want to go squash some bugs, sir?
[SPEAKER_04]: How far away are the bugs from us right now?
[SPEAKER_14]: If we're using Fallout terms, they're like a medium to long distance away.
[SPEAKER_14]: You will have to get close to sneak by.
[SPEAKER_14]: It's not impossible to sneak by.
[SPEAKER_14]: There is also the, what people, the four of you can decide if you would know what a feral ghoul is that you can't see, but it's like shambling around.
[SPEAKER_14]: That has a higher chance of seeing you, but they're all fairly far away at the minute.
[SPEAKER_04]: Well, Mr.
Cooper, I feel that if we would like to try to sneak around, I am more than capable of being quite quiet, but if we do need to cook some bugs and she's going to lift her arm up and pull it down and it's going to burst the flame out of it in a big flame [SPEAKER_02]: I don't they ask you to come out here and clean, never mind.
[SPEAKER_04]: I'm very busy.
[SPEAKER_04]: I have a child to take care of.
[SPEAKER_08]: Don't be rude.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm trying my best, fix.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm trying my best.
[SPEAKER_02]: I would say I'm succeeding.
[SPEAKER_02]: Grin and ear to ear just like you.
[SPEAKER_04]: You're all right, sir Robin.
[SPEAKER_04]: I'm wrong.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, this is good.
[SPEAKER_11]: This is the stuff.
[SPEAKER_11]: This is what they made for you.
[SPEAKER_14]: Right.
[SPEAKER_14]: So what do we want to do gangdo?
[SPEAKER_14]: Want to try and sneak around these creatures?
[SPEAKER_14]: Or do we want to try and go full force?
[SPEAKER_07]: I'd like to sneak around.
[SPEAKER_07]: Let's sneak around.
[SPEAKER_14]: This comes to our first roll.
[SPEAKER_14]: This is going to be a group roll, and this is going to be a...
[SPEAKER_14]: I'm going to say out off the bat, this is going to be a dexterity stealth, but if you have other ways that you're trying to sneak through...
You mean agility?
[SPEAKER_14]: I mean agility, I'm a dumbass.
[SPEAKER_14]: It's agility stealth.
[SPEAKER_18]: Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, boss man, hey, boss man, that's your wrong one.
[SPEAKER_04]: It's the boss day, is it?
[SPEAKER_18]: All right, all right, all right.
[SPEAKER_08]: I do have a collection, which is, what does the ranks mean for things like sneak, it's fantastic.
[SPEAKER_14]: So the way that rolling in this game works is we, everyone will roll [SPEAKER_14]: 2D20.
[SPEAKER_14]: You are trying to get under the attribute and the skill added together.
[SPEAKER_14]: So for example, if Philly was too, I just have Philly's sheep pulled up.
[SPEAKER_14]: If Philly was to try to sneak past these these bugs, they have an agility of six and they have a [SPEAKER_14]: sneak of three which means that they're trying to roll under a nine.
[SPEAKER_14]: This is a difficulty test.
[SPEAKER_14]: There's this will be a group test so this will be a difficulty test for which means that we need four successes with throughout everyone rolling.
[SPEAKER_14]: If you want you can spend action points to add D20s so if you wanted to add one dice it's one action point if you want to add two dice it's three action point if you want to add three dice.
[SPEAKER_14]: this six action points.
[SPEAKER_14]: Action points are shared.
[SPEAKER_14]: So we all collectively have six action points to play with.
[SPEAKER_04]: Well Mrs.
Trimley is a big robot lady with a big squeaky wheel and she rolled [SPEAKER_07]: I would first like to apologize.
[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, good sign.
[SPEAKER_07]: Haha.
[SPEAKER_07]: Nice.
[SPEAKER_07]: If you get a critical failure.
[SPEAKER_14]: Now, a crit fail in this is a 20.
[SPEAKER_14]: A critical success is a one fantastic.
[SPEAKER_18]: You have 20.
[SPEAKER_18]: That's what he, yeah.
[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, that's what he's a camping.
[SPEAKER_07]: So when you, when you roll two dice and one of them say, I don't know, hypothetically, is a crit failure.
[SPEAKER_07]: You, you, you, you've, you're just fucked, right?
[SPEAKER_14]: So no, rolling a 20 in this doesn't [SPEAKER_14]: like negate any successes.
[SPEAKER_14]: It just adds a complication.
[SPEAKER_14]: So yeah, but like if you were to have no successes and you have no successes, but I got probably not it truly just means you just have no successes.
[SPEAKER_14]: Now I will say that everyone there's the next mechanic.
[SPEAKER_14]: Everyone has luck.
[SPEAKER_14]: You can spend luck to reroll dice.
[SPEAKER_14]: Miss Fortune is what it's called.
[SPEAKER_14]: How much luck can we spend?
[SPEAKER_14]: Miss Fortune is you can you can spend one luck per dice you wish to reroll action points come back whenever you get more successes than you need for the difficulty for example something with a difficulty one you roll two successes everyone would get one action point back however with luck you get it back at the end of missions or major miles this is this is all we [SPEAKER_04]: I spent two luck at the end of the page.
[SPEAKER_14]: Oh, sorry.
[SPEAKER_04]: God, at 19 in a tin.
[SPEAKER_08]: I'll...
[SPEAKER_08]: I'll try one more.
[SPEAKER_08]: I'll try to reroll one.
[SPEAKER_08]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_08]: No.
[SPEAKER_08]: No.
[SPEAKER_08]: No.
[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, no.
[SPEAKER_14]: And I'm giving up on this roller, and I'm gonna either roll physical dice or just type roll D20 into my browser I got a four in the five That's story we have three successes three of four successes and as I'm as I'm so you only allowed to reroll each dice once you cannot Unfortunately spam luck until it's done as far as I'm aware both mistrumbly and Bix did however fail [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I only rerolled what if my dice, but I don't need, I feel like if we're gonna get into a fight, I need to keep my luck.
[SPEAKER_14]: You all do a pretty damn good job of hiding.
[SPEAKER_14]: Grashton begs you like a half open the warehouse door so everyone can sneak through.
[SPEAKER_14]: Mrs.
Dremelie, you turn your thrusters down so you're lower to the ground, but you can sneak better and it makes less noise.
[SPEAKER_14]: you all get to the power controller without anything realising.
[SPEAKER_14]: But as you sneak up, someone's foot falls through a rusted piece of the stairs and the stair falls and clangs against the floor.
[SPEAKER_14]: You hear a stumbling and a groaning, and out of the doorway, crash, you see someone [SPEAKER_14]: Garthor Morgan exactly got the Morgan damn he was a good man that got them all this good man So got them all good Yeah, all are they're Morgan sorry cool are they're worried in them out of the way this yeah, you did this and he does now Yeah, you have the power within you.
[SPEAKER_17]: I'm sorry [SPEAKER_14]: Uh, you, you do notice.
[SPEAKER_14]: On Gotham, Morgan, this, synthetic fur that's fused to his body.
[SPEAKER_14]: As he stumbles out of the side room, none of the rad roaches seem to have noticed, but it's noticed to you, so initiative has begun.
[SPEAKER_14]: Let's get it to combat.
[SPEAKER_14]: got the Morgan and our friend of yours crash.
[SPEAKER_14]: Stumbles into the main walkway and then locks up and sees you all.
[SPEAKER_14]: Most of the rad roaches scatter at his presence in the room.
[SPEAKER_14]: However, one is a little more feeling a little more boisterous and then also starts climbing the stairs toward you.
[SPEAKER_14]: There is a ferrule ghoul and there is one rad roach.
[SPEAKER_14]: So combat works very much the same as skill checks.
[SPEAKER_14]: We roll 2D20, you're trying to hit below, you know, whatever thing you're trying to do, you can spend action points to try to get more chances to hit.
[SPEAKER_14]: When you do hit, it's a little complicated.
[SPEAKER_14]: When you roll your like success is each creature has a defense and you're trying to hit the defense or go above the defense.
[SPEAKER_14]: So for example, the Radroch has Defense 2, which means you're trying to get two or more successes, to hit this thing.
[SPEAKER_14]: Afterwards, you would normally roll for what body part you hit.
[SPEAKER_14]: However, we are not playing with that mechanic unless you specify that you want to hit a body part.
[SPEAKER_14]: Bix, it is you with the 14 initiative.
[SPEAKER_08]: I'm going to take aim for the Farrow Hall, because I have no emotional feelings about a guard carry.
[SPEAKER_14]: You're shooting him?
[SPEAKER_08]: I have a question.
[SPEAKER_08]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_08]: I have a gamut gun.
[SPEAKER_08]: It's an energy weapon.
[SPEAKER_08]: Would I understand, like, does this actually work against feral ghouls?
[SPEAKER_14]: Feral ghouls.
[SPEAKER_14]: You would know this just from learning the church.
[SPEAKER_14]: Feral's minds are immune to radiation.
[SPEAKER_14]: If you are dealing radiation damage, it will say it's a specific form of damage.
[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah, it is.
[SPEAKER_14]: It would be completely immune to that.
[SPEAKER_08]: Okay, that's really good for me to know.
[SPEAKER_08]: Maybe I need to hit the rad roach then because, well, it also might be a meanderate dude.
[SPEAKER_08]: Whatever.
[SPEAKER_08]: Um, but I do have a machete so I can do that would work.
[SPEAKER_14]: A lot of things in this world are immune to radiation, not a lot of things are immune to machete.
[SPEAKER_08]: It's so true.
[SPEAKER_02]: Before, before anything happens.
[SPEAKER_02]: as she looked far, when was the last time I saw him?
[SPEAKER_14]: It was I was only a few days ago.
[SPEAKER_14]: This seems pretty, this seems pretty recent.
[SPEAKER_02]: Wait a second, Bix.
[SPEAKER_02]: kill the roach and I I will be preparing some all all ghouls tip well not all ghouls but ghouls that are trying to stay normal for as long as possible partake in their nice little doses of rat away so I'd like to see if I can save Garthor.
[SPEAKER_14]: You can also, if you want it, you could spend luck for lucky timing and then immediately jump into the initiative order.
[SPEAKER_18]: I, I, I feel so bad.
[SPEAKER_18]: I would be taking, it makes us supposed to be the one to go first for the first combat of the game.
[SPEAKER_09]: It's okay.
[SPEAKER_18]: I just, I don't want to, I don't want to see a guy, I just rode, I just drove around town.
[SPEAKER_18]: No, please get, take it in now.
[SPEAKER_14]: Alright, I'm spending a luck point to hop in.
[SPEAKER_14]: There we go, lucky diving.
[SPEAKER_14]: And then you're moving first.
[SPEAKER_18]: I would like to attempt to inject him with some rat away.
[SPEAKER_18]: Fantastic.
[SPEAKER_18]: And I don't have many doses of that right now, because I've been spending too much money on gas lately.
[SPEAKER_08]: So this is like the curve, my blade around, because you like hop under my arm kind of thing.
[SPEAKER_14]: I'm faster than you've ever seen me move quite literally, quite.
[SPEAKER_14]: I tell you what, I'm actually gonna, I'm gonna count this as a, I'm gonna take this as a treating it like an unarmed attack.
[SPEAKER_14]: It could be all treating an injury if you'd like that.
[SPEAKER_14]: Treating an injury is intelligence, uh, plus medicine, or you can just have it be unarmed because you're jamming someone with a, with a thing.
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, I have no points in medicine or an arm, so, but I do have a higher intelligence.
[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm gonna go for a lesson.
[SPEAKER_02]: a two and a 17, I don't know how many successes I need.
[SPEAKER_14]: You jam a rad away into Gotha, and as the bag empties into him, you see this recognition.
[SPEAKER_14]: It is eyes.
[SPEAKER_14]: He's so confused.
[SPEAKER_14]: What's that?
[SPEAKER_14]: What's happening?
[SPEAKER_14]: And then it's he immediately starts regressing back into this federal goal.
[SPEAKER_14]: Crash, you have...
[SPEAKER_14]: seen people turn before.
[SPEAKER_14]: You've used rad-away like early as someone's turn.
[SPEAKER_14]: This is weird.
[SPEAKER_14]: This feels like there's been interference on this turning.
[SPEAKER_14]: Normally this works.
[SPEAKER_14]: This should have been better.
[SPEAKER_02]: At least knocked him out a little bit in that confusion.
[SPEAKER_02]: At least it Come on, Garth, there, come on, man.
[SPEAKER_02]: I pull him close to get real, I get way closer to his face than I should for a feral ghoul.
[SPEAKER_12]: Come on, I...
You know me, you go.
[SPEAKER_12]: You know me, you know you, your guard through Morgan.
[SPEAKER_12]: You know you.
[SPEAKER_02]: You know you.
[SPEAKER_02]: I know you.
[SPEAKER_02]: I used your caps to buy this rat away.
[SPEAKER_02]: I know you.
[SPEAKER_19]: Crash, crash, the lads.
[SPEAKER_19]: This is so bright, Crash.
[SPEAKER_19]: I know.
[SPEAKER_19]: She, she said that she would help.
[SPEAKER_19]: She?
[SPEAKER_19]: She said.
[SPEAKER_19]: She said she'd help, Grat.
[SPEAKER_02]: You have to breathe.
[SPEAKER_02]: I do my, I'd give him my best shove and I turn around and look at Bix and I, I tried.
[SPEAKER_02]: And I kind of step back, don't quite look like I'm not that I'm not going to be much help, but more of a defensive position between Philly and Trimbley from the rat or the roach in this big hole.
[SPEAKER_11]: All right.
[SPEAKER_02]: Take a set off, make it fast, some.
[SPEAKER_08]: I'm going to hit that goal.
[SPEAKER_08]: I hope.
[SPEAKER_08]: better be nice to me.
[SPEAKER_14]: You get 3D 20s because you wanted to use one of the group's faction points.
[SPEAKER_08]: I got one success and one big old failure, baby.
[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, did you not use an extra D20?
[SPEAKER_08]: I did indeed.
[SPEAKER_08]: I rolled three.
[SPEAKER_08]: I got one complication one success.
[SPEAKER_14]: Very good.
[SPEAKER_14]: Very good.
[SPEAKER_14]: One one success is all you need.
[SPEAKER_08]: Do I do I hit on that or shall I spend a look point to reroll a die?
[SPEAKER_14]: To hit a federal go.
[SPEAKER_14]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_14]: If you want to use a lock point to reroll the complication you can.
[SPEAKER_08]: I feel like, I feel like narratively it makes sense to have a bit of a complication because I was about to go and then crash kind of came forward and threw off the groove and so I'm a little, I'm a little, you know, yeah, yeah, I like that.
[SPEAKER_14]: You walk forward, you push crash aside, swing your machete.
[SPEAKER_14]: It lands deep into Gartha's shoulder.
[SPEAKER_14]: In his like flailing, he pushes you off and he pushes you off before you're able to yank the machete back.
[SPEAKER_14]: So he takes your machete with him as he stumbles back.
[SPEAKER_14]: Could you like to roll damage?
[SPEAKER_10]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_14]: Now, with melee attacks, you will roll the damage dice that the weapon dictates and also, you would roll your additional melee attack damage, melee attacks give a little extra damage, then range attacks too.
[SPEAKER_08]: I rolled, I just clicked my little button here.
[SPEAKER_08]: It says I have three physical dice for damage and I got four damage and one effect it says, but I'm unsure of that.
[SPEAKER_14]: The dice in this, the way it works, if you rolled a 1 or a 2, that's just dealing straight damage.
[SPEAKER_14]: If you're all a 3, 4, that's nothing.
[SPEAKER_14]: If you're all a 5 or 6, that is a damage and you also get the damage effect that your weapon does.
[SPEAKER_14]: And this is piercing, is accurate.
[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, yes, piercing for the machete.
[SPEAKER_14]: Mm-hmm.
[SPEAKER_14]: Oh, perfect.
[SPEAKER_14]: Cool, cool.
[SPEAKER_14]: This guy doesn't have any physical resistance.
[SPEAKER_14]: So that's fine.
[SPEAKER_14]: Because it with normally resistances.
[SPEAKER_14]: Normally how much damage do you do?
[SPEAKER_14]: For damage.
[SPEAKER_14]: Meaty hit.
[SPEAKER_14]: You crack into this thing and force it down.
[SPEAKER_14]: It's like on its knees and then gets up.
[SPEAKER_14]: This is a big hit.
[SPEAKER_14]: It doesn't look like it's going to be taking much more.
[SPEAKER_08]: And I stay standing in front of this cool kind of like blocking it blocking him from everyone else with my body and I kind of call back and I'm like just get the roach.
[SPEAKER_14]: Philly it is now you.
[SPEAKER_14]: Oh we know it's Mrs.
Trimbley first.
[SPEAKER_14]: We decided that it was Mrs.
Trimbley both have 11.
[SPEAKER_04]: Can Mrs.
Trimbley use an action point?
[SPEAKER_04]: How many of those do we have?
[SPEAKER_14]: We have five action points for me.
[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, would anybody mind if I used one?
[SPEAKER_04]: So I could use my flame arm for three.
[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, she goes, oh, bugs!
[SPEAKER_02]: I keep interrupting.
[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, you don't need to use an action point to you to do an action.
[SPEAKER_04]: No, no, no, just add an additional D22, my, oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, [SPEAKER_14]: Love that.
[SPEAKER_14]: All right, baby.
[SPEAKER_14]: Romney, the damage of your flamer as Mrs.
Trimbley whips out the flamer arm and then sets this rad-roach a Sunday into flames into ash.
[SPEAKER_04]: There we are.
[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, we got two damage and one effect.
[SPEAKER_14]: The beautiful.
[SPEAKER_14]: Could you read me what the effect of your flamer is, please?
[SPEAKER_04]: There are six things there, burst persistence, spread, debilitating, inaccurate, and two-handed.
[SPEAKER_14]: Is that all of the effects that it has?
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_14]: Holy shit.
[SPEAKER_14]: Alright, burst is hits an additional target for each effect rolled, so that's two targets it hits.
[SPEAKER_04]: Nice.
[SPEAKER_14]: Spread is for each effect rolled, it deals extra damage.
[SPEAKER_14]: It deals an extra hit.
[SPEAKER_14]: This hit deals half rolled damage of the original attack, so you're essentially hitting both of these things twice.
[SPEAKER_04]: Great.
[SPEAKER_14]: Roll me the damage.
[SPEAKER_14]: Oh, you rolled the damage.
[SPEAKER_14]: How much damage do you want?
[SPEAKER_04]: Two damage.
[SPEAKER_14]: Two damage.
[SPEAKER_14]: Okay, so both Gotham Morgan and the Radroch take two damage, and then because of spread, they both take an extra one damage.
[SPEAKER_14]: Gotham Morgan is fully on fire, and is very, very almost dead.
[SPEAKER_14]: The Radroch did in fact, Dissis.
[SPEAKER_14]: Oh, good.
[SPEAKER_14]: You said it on fire and killed it.
[SPEAKER_07]: Bugs!
[SPEAKER_07]: I would like to do a minor action of looking around, or are there any weapons that have been discarded on the ground, like even just like the shard of glass, or like a piece of metal or something?
[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah, absolutely.
[SPEAKER_14]: Oh, actually, would you mind giving me a...
Let's get, let's have a roll in this.
[SPEAKER_14]: Let's have a fun buddy roll.
[SPEAKER_14]: Give me a perception, as if a perception melee weapons.
[SPEAKER_14]: Save you can see anything that you can use.
[SPEAKER_07]: Ooh, okay.
[SPEAKER_07]: I got, no, that's 17 and a 12, [SPEAKER_14]: you do find something you do find a shot of glass.
[SPEAKER_14]: You could use it.
[SPEAKER_14]: It would also hurt you though in using it.
[SPEAKER_07]: I think she, I think she picks it up.
[SPEAKER_07]: in like two fingers, like doesn't grasp it, but like picks it up in two fingers, like she's trying to figure out whether or not she needs it.
[SPEAKER_07]: And then I'm going to do my major action of try to defend.
[SPEAKER_07]: I think there is a look on Philly's face that is a bit numb, but also quite horrified.
[SPEAKER_07]: This is not something that she's ever witnessed.
[SPEAKER_07]: Like a ghoul.
[SPEAKER_07]: going feral.
[SPEAKER_07]: So I think at first when she saw him in the distance was preparing to introduce herself and then saw Crash talk to him and was like oh okay friend and now it's on fire and the other thing is on fire and everything is horrible and she's terrified.
[SPEAKER_07]: So I think she just kind of grabs it half-hazardly and then like brandishes it and defense.
[SPEAKER_14]: Perfect.
[SPEAKER_14]: That is an agility athletics test, please.
[SPEAKER_14]: The difficulty is of your defense.
[SPEAKER_14]: So your defense is one, so you're just trying to beat one.
[SPEAKER_12]: I got a fine.
[SPEAKER_14]: Perfect.
[SPEAKER_14]: You add one defense.
[SPEAKER_14]: That means that if this federal goal attacks you, it needs to make two successes rather than needing to make one.
[SPEAKER_07]: Oh snap.
[SPEAKER_07]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_07]: That's pretty great.
[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah, it's neat.
[SPEAKER_14]: It is Gotham Orkinston.
[SPEAKER_14]: Gotham Orkins is going to an end looking around and just pure drive is going to start swinging at fix.
[SPEAKER_14]: It got a 1718, didn't succeed either of them.
[SPEAKER_14]: How are you defending?
[SPEAKER_08]: What I think is very fun, that is not me using this perk actually, is that I also have a perk called blocker, which is just that I am very good at redirecting the energy of hits that are coming at me, specifically melee attacks.
[SPEAKER_08]: And so, like literally flailing, and I am just reaching up with these big beefy arms and just going, shh, shh, shh, shh, shh, shh, shh, shh, shh.
[SPEAKER_08]: putting them away from myself.
[SPEAKER_08]: Mechanical precision, it looks weird on things.
[SPEAKER_14]: Perfect.
[SPEAKER_14]: It's swinging wildly, you're casually batting them away.
[SPEAKER_14]: We are back to the top of initiative.
[SPEAKER_14]: Because Crash spent a luck to move position, that remains still.
[SPEAKER_14]: So it is in fact still Crash going first.
[SPEAKER_02]: This is trembling, I said, I said, fast, not light them on, fucking fire.
[UNKNOWN]: God, damn it.
[SPEAKER_02]: And I pull out my energy pistol and I get as close as I can, it is a close quarters weapon.
[SPEAKER_02]: Put it against his temple and I try my best to hit it.
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, all right, I got an 11, I have an 11, so and the effect I'm laser gun is piercing one energy.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's our effect 2, 5, 8, 2, should range C.
Cool.
[SPEAKER_14]: So roll your damage.
[SPEAKER_14]: Got a 2, got a 6, and got a 1.
[SPEAKER_14]: Killer loads of damage.
[SPEAKER_14]: You place the laser gun on the temple of Gotham all of them.
[SPEAKER_14]: Is there anything that you say to it?
[SPEAKER_16]: Man, can you just tell me who she was?
[SPEAKER_16]: You poor bastard.
[SPEAKER_02]: You poor poor bastard.
[SPEAKER_02]: As shoot him and I kind of catch his body as it goes.
[SPEAKER_02]: And I take off my duster and I put him out.
[SPEAKER_02]: Cause he's still on fire.
[SPEAKER_04]: I'm sorry, Mr.
Cooper.
[SPEAKER_04]: I was just trying to kill the cockroach, but if I always forget to fire, it's great.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's okay.
[SPEAKER_02]: You weren't you weren't killing anything that didn't need to be killed.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm so good about him.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to sort of fireman carry his body and walk him back to the bus.
[SPEAKER_02]: Crash.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_08]: I need something from that.
[SPEAKER_02]: From Garthor.
[SPEAKER_08]: And I kind of gesture to my machete is fully embedded in our shoulder.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, um, yeah, yeah, you probably, yeah, hold on.
[SPEAKER_02]: I like readjust white that off of my overalls and here you go, friend.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm picking back up and start walking back to the bus.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'll be right back.
[SPEAKER_02]: You guys, yeah, look, anything else shows up.
[SPEAKER_14]: as Crash goes and lays his neighbor on his birth.
[SPEAKER_14]: The three of you hear the sparks of the power console that each of you separately have come here to fix.
[SPEAKER_14]: From an easy look, this is an overloaded, this is an overloaded station.
[SPEAKER_14]: Crash, you are sent here to repair it and get power to be mainly flooded back into Brooklyn.
[SPEAKER_14]: Bixfilly, you were brought here to mainly pull it back to the King's of Mahatz Terny, Mrs.
Trimbley.
[SPEAKER_14]: If you were at the power station at all, if you could bring anything that looks particularly expensive, back, that would help the ladies that are like a lot.
[SPEAKER_14]: All of you are there for your own separate reasons.
[SPEAKER_14]: Someone is walking away disappointed.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_08]: And importantly, we don't know that we have different goals.
[SPEAKER_14]: None of you know that any of you came here for this reason.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_08]: I...
[SPEAKER_08]: First off, I blink a little because this is the first time that Crash is called me something that wasn't scary.
[SPEAKER_08]: I'm like, no, he must be fucked up, but then I turn to Mrs.
Trimbley and I say, man, I'm not very good at machines, so if you could help us out, I'd be appreciative.
[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, sure, of course.
[SPEAKER_04]: I've got these little twisty dirty arms for what else.
[SPEAKER_08]: Hahaha.
[SPEAKER_08]: Now we're trying to get the power routed back to the folks over in the hat, so.
[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, of course, of course.
[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, oh, I better put my little, my little hat down.
[SPEAKER_04]: She sets a Robin down on a...
[SPEAKER_04]: Wow, a little pile of leaves somewhere.
[SPEAKER_04]: It's like, now you don't go running off, y'all, man.
[SPEAKER_04]: And she'll go over to the machine and see if she can figure out.
[SPEAKER_04]: I had a, had a fix it.
[SPEAKER_14]: Perfect.
[SPEAKER_14]: If you want to just see how to fix it, you can give me a perception of repair.
[SPEAKER_14]: Just to see what needs doing.
[SPEAKER_14]: See if there is a check to come up, which spoilers there is, what numbers you need to hit and how if there's anything else you can do to it.
[SPEAKER_14]: If you just want to straight up go for a repair, she's fairly skilled in repair.
[SPEAKER_04]: So I think that it makes sense to just go for it.
[SPEAKER_14]: Just go for it.
[SPEAKER_14]: Sure.
[SPEAKER_14]: That'll be intelligence repair then.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, absolutely.
[SPEAKER_04]: Great.
[SPEAKER_04]: She's got one success, one complication, and you know what's screwed.
[SPEAKER_04]: I'm going to take a look and try to get rid of that complication here.
[SPEAKER_14]: There you go.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_04]: Three successes, zero complication.
[SPEAKER_04]: Oh my god.
[SPEAKER_04]: Amazing.
[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_14]: what you realize as you're fixing it is with a small jangle of parts you can divert, you can perfect the power to both brook lane.
[SPEAKER_14]: and to the tournament with a difficulty of 3.
[SPEAKER_14]: That is what you would be able to spot if you looked over it correctly.
[SPEAKER_14]: Otherwise, you would have to make the choice of which one is going to get the power, but with a difficulty 3, you're able to fix it to both places if you want.
[SPEAKER_14]: If you want to divert power to one of the other, one of the places, you will gain some action points back instead.
[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know, but that would be rude.
[SPEAKER_04]: So she is going to, of course, just go in there and she's just like, well, you know, just being an auntie isn't just, you know, feeding and changing.
[SPEAKER_04]: You've got to also be a fixer up her around every place.
[SPEAKER_04]: And she's saying this as they're like, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think [SPEAKER_14]: Crash, you're on the bus.
[SPEAKER_14]: As you lay goth or down, you spot off in the distance as the lights of Brooklyn turn on.
[SPEAKER_14]: It is falling to heavy dust now, it is mostly dark out, what's Crash doing, what's Crash feeling right now?
[SPEAKER_02]: ah, you know I've I've been around the block many times sometimes in a bus sometimes on foot travel across most of the greater North American continent and uh, and never gets easier.
[SPEAKER_02]: Never gets easier.
[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm also I'm kind of just looking at the empty right away bag.
[SPEAKER_02]: Thinkin' maybe I didn't make it right, didn't buy it from the right person this time.
[SPEAKER_02]: Cause nothing else could explain it.
[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm racking my brain to think of who, what she could be wanting to um, gullify this many people.
[SPEAKER_02]: And my first thought is someone who doesn't like the kings of the hat.
[SPEAKER_02]: Cause they're all ghouls.
[SPEAKER_02]: and i uh...
i set him up in the by under the back the far back row now with his arms crossed his eyes closed and i take a little and i take out a little pocket knife and i just tear off a bit of his shirt and i put it in my jacket pocket so i'm gonna remember you buy i didn't know nothing about you other than where you went [SPEAKER_19]: So I don't have a eulogy prepared, but it shouldn't happen to you.
[SPEAKER_19]: None of it should have.
[SPEAKER_19]: I shouldn't be a ghoul.
[SPEAKER_19]: You shouldn't have been a ghoul.
[SPEAKER_19]: Shouldn't be covered in dust every fucking day of our lives.
[SPEAKER_19]: I've given you all a cheap slap.
[SPEAKER_19]: Stand up.
[SPEAKER_19]: Go to the front and start my bustle.
[SPEAKER_19]: I'll buy that I see.
[SPEAKER_19]: I was starting.
[SPEAKER_07]: As you make your way back, you see Philly's eyes meet yours, and she got Ghost to start forward.
[SPEAKER_07]: There's an expression on her face of both want and comfort, but also wanting to offer some.
[SPEAKER_07]: And I think she kind of thinks for a second and shakes her head or pony's all kind of bouncing um and she looks back up at you again with just a look of despair and um gives you like a small smile and then you feel like a little pat on your shoulders you walk your bus [SPEAKER_02]: Wait, is that, did all of you wait, and I kind of, I kind of realized I get out of my, get out of my good doom and gloom.
[SPEAKER_02]: Is that what, everyone, is that why you were coming up here?
[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, I was just taking a bus ride.
[SPEAKER_16]: Well, I know you were.
[SPEAKER_16]: You were with me.
[SPEAKER_08]: The exfiliated someone, if you're the, Mahat wanted power for the turning.
[SPEAKER_16]: Hmm.
[SPEAKER_16]: Is that what you and Philly were here for?
[SPEAKER_16]: Keep it even for everybody, Trimley.
[SPEAKER_04]: Well, of course, to do otherwise would be rude.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's my girl.
[SPEAKER_04]: No.
[SPEAKER_04]: I, I, I, I, I think that, ah, well, maybe another time.
[SPEAKER_04]: The ladies wanted me to maybe bring some parts back, but then this wouldn't work.
[SPEAKER_04]: So...
Ah!
[SPEAKER_08]: The ladies are the late?
[SPEAKER_04]: Do you know them?
[SPEAKER_08]: No.
[SPEAKER_04]: Oh.
[SPEAKER_04]: Well, they seem quite lovely.
[SPEAKER_08]: I don't trust him.
[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, you don't trust them.
[SPEAKER_04]: Well, that's just silly.
[SPEAKER_04]: They're nice young ladies, and they live in the middle of the lake.
[SPEAKER_04]: All peaceful and keep to themselves.
[SPEAKER_04]: And, oh, it's just really lovely.
[SPEAKER_04]: They're so quiet and simple, and they just live their lives, and they don't bother anyone.
[SPEAKER_15]: Maybe.
[SPEAKER_14]: Crash, you wind up your bus, and all of you drive back toward Brooklyn.
[SPEAKER_14]: The sun has almost entirely set by the time you start getting back.
[SPEAKER_14]: It's getting very dark, but the lights now lighting both the turny and Brooklyn makes seeing far easier.
[SPEAKER_14]: As you approach Brooklyn, the lights light up 15 to 20 people standing outside of Brooklyn settlement walls.
[SPEAKER_14]: You see that they're dressed in.
[SPEAKER_14]: First, some look a bit like low quality mascots.
[SPEAKER_14]: You see the Nuka Cola mascot, large suits of Volk boy and Volk girl.
[SPEAKER_14]: Sunset [SPEAKER_14]: As you approach and your headlights hit them, they all turn sharply and you see that they're all brandishing weapons.
[SPEAKER_14]: The New Coca-Cola mascot signals panicked for another mascot and the other mascot fires a firework near you, landing in between some arrows.
[SPEAKER_14]: As the firework ignites, so do the barrels, make slow sending your bus flying, co-reading, of course, above the sound of the bus tumbling gunfire runs.
[SPEAKER_14]: The bus collides with a building that building collapses, falling under the floor and you tumble onto train tracks.
[SPEAKER_14]: The whole that you had just made is filled with the collapsing building cutting off your exit and you find yourself in the subway tunnels of Brooklyn.
[SPEAKER_14]: Just before you lose consciousness, your eyes stare into the darkness and you see a pair of eyes staring back.
[SPEAKER_14]: That's where we're gonna leave today.
[SPEAKER_14]: Fuck you with a dead fucking pool in my bowl.
[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah with a dead fucking pool on your butt Am I really is unprepared?
[SPEAKER_14]: I'm a beautiful one of the people.

[SPEAKER_14]: I love a grind.
[SPEAKER_14]: I love how it feels like fallout.
[SPEAKER_14]: The song you're listening to right now is an original song and the official fallout.
[SPEAKER_14]: Kings of Mahattsong wrote to nowhere by behold.
[SPEAKER_14]: I cannot believe we have a behold song.
