[SPEAKER_00]: What is up everybody?

[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome back to another edition of D.

She has already mentioned here on shardog.com and bring you a bit of a different show than usual.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'm bringing you a show.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to call chinding news and maybe that name will change.

[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe we will have a bit of a variation on it over the next part.

[SPEAKER_00]: But maybe every week, maybe every couple weeks, every so often.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to come to you, but maybe three, four, five different little topics and just kind of run through them quickly.

[SPEAKER_00]: The three topics I'm going to touch on today, after you have seen Paris, I want to talk about Croutes and how important they are to mix martial arts and Croutes all over the world.

[SPEAKER_00]: The next thing I want to talk about, I don't really like talking about it, but it's one of the trending topics I looked it up on, on Reddit, Carnom or Gregor.

[SPEAKER_00]: We talk a little bit about Carnom or Gregor.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'll give you kind of maybe Irish perspective on it.

[SPEAKER_00]: And the fighting nerds as well.

[SPEAKER_00]: I want to talk about them that we can just had and also next weekend coming up and how that might go for John Silver.

[SPEAKER_00]: So we're getting to all of that here now.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to start with crowds as well.

[SPEAKER_00]: Because, [SPEAKER_00]: watching that UFC paris event.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's very hard for that not to outweigh everything.

[SPEAKER_00]: Even I'm just going to talk about the middle of a picture in my mouth and the hell you're on Fluffy and all that coming up.

[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe that could be a better discussion for maybe a couple of weeks time when that when that Fluffy is the fight happens, but [SPEAKER_00]: It was funny.

[SPEAKER_00]: I was watching because it was early here, and you know, there's other sports on and metal.

[SPEAKER_00]: I was kind of watching on two screens and I had the UFC kind of turned down for a lot of the a lot of the pre-limbs apart from, you know, the Sean abandoned one.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I was watching kind of, well, it tintively, but with the sound on, and then I turned it up around the main kind.

[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, wow, what a way.

[SPEAKER_00]: What have I been missing out on here?

[SPEAKER_00]: The crowd was absolutely unbelievable and you know as someone who's privileged obviously to be from Ireland and have had so many cars obviously was at the UFC Dublin, you know the aforementioned McGregor and it's a very similar night to Saturday where we had to follow you Irish at plus Coney and else and I suppose go on following our six and on that night and sat now for Paddy Hoolham is absolutely unbelievable and you could see [SPEAKER_00]: you know, how like that made my writer a star like that you could see that the support they had mind him you could see the support all the fringe people had behind them on Saturday night it was absolutely unbelievable and I think this is a very interesting for the UFC but for PFL as well in order to play this is I think and we just touch on PFL quickly first because you know PFL [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think they're doing the same thing as the UFC in terms of where they put their events at the moment.

[SPEAKER_00]: We get to the UFC in a second, but I think if you're the PFL and they have done this in fairness.

[SPEAKER_00]: Like Dublin, Paris, I think Sweden as well as a great place, Italy, we've seen KJ, where it's got there.

[SPEAKER_00]: I think those places they should be really hitting them.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now unless it costs an absolute bomb to put them on there and things like that, I think they should really [SPEAKER_00]: be focused on those areas of the office you need America and maybe Brazil and Canada and other places as well The more I suppose traditional MMS Strongholds, but I think the crowds make the fighters bigger and when the fighters are bigger it makes promotion bigger And it makes people tuning in and all that I really think it matters and for the USC I think it does too now the thing with the USC we we know do you see or [SPEAKER_00]: The put-on-on events that are either not costing them very much in the apex, our director are getting, you know, side fees and signing deals of places, and look, they're a community that's our absolute right to do, and if that's their remote, look, no problem, I don't think the fans would be that happy with it.

[SPEAKER_00]: But I think, what was a 42, 43 events that are going to do, and I'm paramount close next year in the U.S.

[SPEAKER_00]: I think there's room on that.

[SPEAKER_00]: To do 10 events ish, that are far the good of me, for the good of the UFC, to build your fanbase, to build your fighters.

[SPEAKER_00]: And where should like those events be?

[SPEAKER_00]: Like [SPEAKER_00]: big events in Mexico, big events in Brazil, far the Brazilian, far the Mexican crowd, Ireland, look at Paris again, obviously going back there, should be another place they should go, like a really, really think they are absolutely vital for the growth of the sport, prefer to UFC as well.

[SPEAKER_00]: I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I [SPEAKER_00]: Obviously Ireland and England and all these different places MMA and look at George and look at Spain and all that like Spain again Another place where the UFC should definitely go on to grow their brand and okay if you're not getting the massive amount of money from the government or whatever to go there [SPEAKER_00]: I think that's a hit you almost need to take to grow it to maybe if you put on one, two, three events.

[SPEAKER_00]: The next time maybe the government will pay you to come back because they realize how big it is.

[SPEAKER_00]: And okay, if you're, you've seen maybe maybe you could argue, I've already put it in that ground work and we're there and we can get all those places now.

[SPEAKER_00]: We don't need the places.

[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's a little bit short-sighted while I'm like some of those go away and I which can happen.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now it's going obviously unbelievably well at the moment.

[SPEAKER_00]: But I think grown like to quote in a world-fucking domination that's what they wanted before and to have world domination.

[SPEAKER_00]: I think you need to put the effort in all around the world.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now, the UFC in general have been very, very good at this.

[SPEAKER_00]: But I think in the last few years, obviously, COVID and all, you know, Dan Hoyt, we could talk for an hour about Dan Hoyt's opinions true COVID and everything like that.

[SPEAKER_00]: But he was the one who wanted to keep going and everything and wanted to change anything.

[SPEAKER_00]: But COVID probably changed UFC more than change anything else, like with the FX and all that.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm not the biggest hitter in the FX normally.

[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of people absolutely detested.

[SPEAKER_00]: They need to be getting out of the apex for the most part.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now I'm going to places to build fighters, build crowds, build your sport all around the world.

[SPEAKER_00]: So that's my thoughts on that.

[SPEAKER_00]: I like, I genuinely think after Paris, after that we can, there should we know at least one of the year in Paris, at least.

[SPEAKER_00]: I think look, London, they're already doing one of the year.

[SPEAKER_00]: They should be doing that.

[SPEAKER_00]: I think in place, I sell Ireland and Sweden, and places like that.

[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe one of them in every two years, one of them in every three years.

[SPEAKER_00]: Like that's not to me.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's not crazy.

[SPEAKER_00]: I know the you know the arena as in some places especially in Ireland as well It's not that big so maybe that's a bit of an issue as well, but still I think to build a sport Look, you know how the biggest fighter ever had has been from Ireland looking in Gary is massive and I really think that's it And places I'm sure there's lots of people might listen to this and go here.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'm from Spain We need a big even absolutely like [SPEAKER_00]: Spain is the Santiago Bernabéu, which is closed in stadium.

[SPEAKER_00]: Why is it really at the podium?

[SPEAKER_00]: I find there, and I know someone dropped in at me on Twitter not too long, and says there's issues like with the government.

[SPEAKER_00]: So, okay, fair enough, but like, come on down the line, that should definitely be a thing that they're targeting.

[SPEAKER_00]: I really, really think it is.

[SPEAKER_00]: Again, PFL, at the same, they have done a good job at all.

[SPEAKER_00]: I was going to meet an Africa, their PFL, have gone to Africa, they shared a bunch of different places in Africa as well.

[SPEAKER_00]: They need to come back to Ireland if, you know, [SPEAKER_00]: So, I really think that's an important thing for MMA and the big MMA organizations.

[SPEAKER_00]: Right, let's talk about my favorites.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'll be a caramel Gregor.

[SPEAKER_00]: So caramel Gregor is talking about ruining for an election here, and I'm not going to get overly politically here, but I'm going to show you some information here.

[SPEAKER_00]: So the Irish election is taking place on Friday to 24 October.

[SPEAKER_00]: So not that far, I know the American one goes on for nine months, and then it finishes and like three months later, it's, you get an upgrade now.

[SPEAKER_00]: So that's not the case here in Ireland.

[SPEAKER_00]: the current president is out on the 11th of November and the election has to take place 60 days before that's on the 24th of October.

[SPEAKER_00]: To be in the election you must be these things and I was citizen obviously which more Gregor is already in which more Gregor is resident in Ireland and the register to vote and then you need [SPEAKER_00]: It's what we're going to last two weeks is the registered vote that we know that may be as here as a resident of Ireland Maybe yeah possibly Okay, so to run for present you can't just go up.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'm running for present people can vote if you that's not the case in Ireland you need at least [SPEAKER_00]: You need one of these treatings, at least 20 members of our actors, so it's like our cabinet or whatever to allow you to be nominated.

[SPEAKER_00]: You need at least four local authorities, so you know, I was like, I'm in Limerick here, and there's on a temporary and Dublin and car, can you afford them?

[SPEAKER_00]: You need retiring presidents, contaminate themselves as well, obviously.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's not the case this time because our president has sort of two terms.

[SPEAKER_00]: he's finished now basically so the deadline for this as well is a 24th of September so I'm recording here on the 8th we've only 6th we've only 16 more days of this to put up with so [SPEAKER_00]: That's basically it.

[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of the talking I know, I don't know, obviously a whole lot about this, but a lot of talking Ireland is that my Gregor is absolutely no chance of getting the 20 members of the, of the, of the director such our cabinet, the four local authorities is the way he's trying to go.

[SPEAKER_00]: I know he's like sent letters to apparently all of them.

[SPEAKER_00]: I believe that there is, um, [SPEAKER_00]: There's one which they're lobbying hard to get.

[SPEAKER_00]: There's rumors of another one.

[SPEAKER_00]: Will he get any will he get all four who knows?

[SPEAKER_00]: Um, but all in ash, we'll, we'll see if it happens.

[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's unlikely.

[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of people in the north think it's very, very unlikely that he is able to run for president.

[SPEAKER_00]: Um, but if he does, let's say he does get it and he does run for president.

[SPEAKER_00]: really get in.

[SPEAKER_00]: In my opinion, haven't, you know, studied Gunner or Gregor, I suppose, since before he's in the UFC and seen a lot of the reaction to him from people just in real life or online or whatever.

[SPEAKER_00]: Like, [SPEAKER_00]: Well Gregor was one of these characters I think when he came true at first.

[SPEAKER_00]: That was, you either liked him or you hated him.

[SPEAKER_00]: And maybe it was like, a lot of a grudge and stuff at the start.

[SPEAKER_00]: And he maybe was 70-tarcty farmer Gregor, but a lot of people didn't like him as well.

[SPEAKER_00]: I think now it's probably closer to a 95-5 for people who don't like him and people who do like him.

[SPEAKER_00]: So the election for president here.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's basically the whole country vote, whoever gets the most votes becomes president.

[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it's very simple, it's not like America's very complicated and things like that.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's very, very simple here.

[SPEAKER_00]: So, do I think Converge will get enough votes to become president?

[SPEAKER_00]: No, I don't think so.

[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think it's possible.

[SPEAKER_00]: I think he got a certain amount of votes.

[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's got really hard and non-immigration and different things like that, which is a big issue for a lot of people I know and maybe he gets votes because of that.

[SPEAKER_00]: But he's got very kind of like, obviously, he's [SPEAKER_00]: He's been in the Oval Office for Trump and Elon Musk is tweeting about him and he's kind of you know, and that Where you've reused and or that's up to you.

[SPEAKER_00]: Whatever.

[SPEAKER_00]: He's on that side of it and he gets votes because from the people on that side of it I'm sure but I think some people on that side of it Obviously don't like kind of a greater either because of the things he's done down through the years obviously, we you know, we not [SPEAKER_00]: I think I was reading it in the pre it was whenever I heard it here like what is it 10 or 20 previous defenses or something like that you know whether it's driving events is punching a man in the pub and obviously we know about the silica is putting a key to hand which he lost and then appealed in the appeal didn't go through and there's something that's coming up and Greg are actually tweeted about it the other day that that's still going on so we'll see what happens with that but [SPEAKER_00]: the general feeling coming out of that in my opinion from looking at a lot of reaction is that my Gregor isn't very well liked.

[SPEAKER_00]: So if he runs, if he can run, if he can get voted, I don't think you're getting the other side of that and we leave it on this.

[SPEAKER_00]: The president of Ireland, my Gregor says he's going to do a lot of stuff and the president of Ireland is not like the president of America.

[SPEAKER_00]: the president of Ireland is a ceremony alone the president of Ireland like goes to shops and opened them and you know when so we have a t-shirt and t-shirt and t-shirt basically a prime and a star and the deputy prime minister which you yeah you do you call maybe England or whatever.

[SPEAKER_00]: And we have the cabinet under that people that are elected into that cabinet, they make all the decisions decisions didn't go to the president to be signed up and the president basically just signs them off.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's not me.

[SPEAKER_00]: McGregor might make it awkward and not sign off things or whatever, but outside from that, he does no real part.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's a ceremonial role.

[SPEAKER_00]: It is a really a ceremonial role.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's seven years as well.

[SPEAKER_00]: He basically there for seven years doing nothing.

[SPEAKER_00]: I, even if he got that job, does he, does he actually really wonder, I don't know.

[SPEAKER_00]: So that looked, that's my tart and that is going to get elected.

[SPEAKER_00]: I will be very, very, very skeptical.

[SPEAKER_00]: right let's talk about the fighting nerd obviously it was a it was a pretty atrocious uh...

weekend for the fighting nerd's car behind your ended up losing in the man event for unanimous decision maricio rufi last in the core man event uh...

to be in war sent a need for a second round uh...

face crank uh...

a couple of weeks are for me once a couple of practice if obviously bounce back in zhefling and look good and up at any last in gary and next week john silver is fighting as well [SPEAKER_00]: No, this is a very, very intro, and just in the fight in this weekend, he is obviously the demand event to be able to see not you over five rounds against Diego Lopez, and like a lot of people saying, you know, a word of fighting arts fraud checked basically, are they actually no good or they just get an easy matchups beforehand or what was the case?

[SPEAKER_00]: No.

[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think the fighting nerds were fried checked to be honest, in the behind of fight, the crowd played a massive part in this, right?

[SPEAKER_00]: I thought he didn't fight to his own best because of that, and he just basically, the bright lights got him.

[SPEAKER_00]: I think a roofing maybe was a little bit fried checked, I think practice came up against a really, really good guy, but for John Silver coming up this weekend, like when the gym [SPEAKER_00]: you know, board of which could put you one of which would put you obvious number one container.

[SPEAKER_00]: If you want to, the other would put you, you know, top top 10 top 5 whatever it might be.

[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe one, two away from being the number one container.

[SPEAKER_00]: And you were in a similar position.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I think you hotstop has ranked like number in top 3 anyway, something like that.

[SPEAKER_00]: If you beat him, you were in the same position.

[SPEAKER_00]: like how will those losses affect John Silver?

[SPEAKER_00]: How will he react to it?

[SPEAKER_00]: Like and it's not only that he's also coming in here and he's fighting five rounds I believe for the first time.

[SPEAKER_00]: How will that affect him?

[SPEAKER_00]: How will the main event affect him?

[SPEAKER_00]: You obviously, this is a bit of a, you know, a grudge match as well with Diego Lopez.

[SPEAKER_00]: They don't like each other, you know?

[SPEAKER_00]: And he's coming in obviously so he thought Price Mitchell the last time out begged sharing and drew door for a [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think so, so it's also a raise up in class.

[SPEAKER_00]: I very similar to like you look at Marisa Orufi, Arhoofi, and he thought, you know, I'd be green before that James Lilith at the top, Malaki, and a couple more guys.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'll go for it.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's not wrong when I need them, but our day is go to Santini, no, and I, I, I, I talked, so I said it last week, I said in the adventure, I got Santini would be them.

[SPEAKER_00]: Sorry, I thought he would be Tantany fairly easily.

[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't think Tantany was accurate and Tantany still be him another crowd hope the pressure put Rufi's and this is the biggest but Rufi's game plan He's control went away John Silver's are about controllers are he's are about way and landed that big shot control and the fight what if he loses our control?

[SPEAKER_00]: What if the crowd is behind Lopez?

[SPEAKER_00]: That is a big issue for him.

[SPEAKER_00]: So this weekend, I think, look, Arda Friday, a fighting nerd's project.

[SPEAKER_00]: No, I wouldn't say that.

[SPEAKER_00]: But this weekend is a massive fight for a gym, can chances of a Polaroa can't get the big knuckle if he can, they're back on track.

[SPEAKER_00]: If not, but he got it's been a pretty bad few months for a deflating nerd.

[SPEAKER_00]: So we will see on that.

[SPEAKER_00]: All right everybody, that's it for me.

[SPEAKER_00]: Let me know in the comment section below if there's anything else on the next show.

[SPEAKER_00]: You would like me to discuss let me know your opinions on anything that I was said here and I'm told in I will leave it there in my name is Sean she and for sure that I'm going to see you all next time.
