[SPEAKER_00]: what is up everybody welcome back to another edition of the she and show me Sean she and here on shardog.com and i am back with the trending news for the week in the world of mixed martial arts and a little bit of a side is our first things first apologies for the the background it's a bit of a mess to remember [SPEAKER_00]: We're under construction so I think we should have maybe one or two podcasts like this so it is apologies if no, he might be a bit off as well while we're under construction, but we will, we will be back tomorrow but today we're going to talk about treatapics.

[SPEAKER_00]: I want to talk about Gabriel Sevesen.

[SPEAKER_00]: he's ever made a debut to be getting on a star with that, want to talk about Diego Lopez as well and what change for him at the weekend and then I want to talk a little bit about Zufa boxing as well because obviously looking up at the you know the trending topics of the weekend that was definitely one anomaly not a boxing I believe when it's Zufa boxing and it's connected to Dan Hoyt and USC I definitely feel like it's work talking about but let's start [SPEAKER_00]: with Gabel Steevesson first.

[SPEAKER_00]: He made his M.E.

[SPEAKER_00]: debut at the weekend, beating Brad Peterson in 138 of the very first round.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm sure I'm talking to everyone here.

[SPEAKER_00]: We know exactly who Gabel Steevesson is, the Olympic NCAA wrestler, one of the most decorated one the best ever, like Kichel and I was talking about him, he's favorite.

[SPEAKER_00]: A wrestler and fighter and everything like that.

[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, with reason, this guy is one of the most amazing prospects that ever come into MMA of considering what he has done outside of the world of MMA, now it's a change in landscape, obviously as we know, it's not just all you can't just be a rest of a RG2 player or a kickbox or any more, it takes a lot more than that, but it's exciting to see him coming out.

[SPEAKER_00]: Kevin Season is one of those guys who, you know, who has a history behind him, you know, [SPEAKER_00]: Good, I suppose, in terms of the NCAA and the Olympics and all of that, and very, very successful.

[SPEAKER_00]: And then obviously you went to the WWE rules, rather than going to the UFC rules first of all.

[SPEAKER_00]: That didn't work out for my, you know, it's a different skill set as well as you can just rely on your physical ability, you know, obviously it's a big part of it, but you have to be able to talk and, you know, understand the, the business and all of that, and I think that was a big issue for him.

[SPEAKER_00]: They need to try to market football.

[SPEAKER_00]: I believe as well.

[SPEAKER_00]: Again, look at the thing that's going to be very very tough to do no matter how good it led it Clean you are, you know, taking up I'm sure it's played it before but taking up a new sport like that's going to be very very tough So now it's to To MMA and you know as well, I suppose a lot of people talk about his background and there's some you know [SPEAKER_00]: And obviously the Atlantic part of it, but also like the outside of the cage stuff as well with, you know, talks over, you know, his, you know, things he's been through in college and things he was accused of and all different things like that, where [SPEAKER_00]: I think coming into WWE, coming into the NFL and everyone like that would normally bring all those things up I suppose and make it if it was going to be a big issue would be a big issue where it's when you come into the UFC as we know.

[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of things are not even talked about her, so I have to do the carpet in terms of, you know, the coverage round or the questions you will be asked.

[SPEAKER_00]: So, for anyone thinking about that point that's out there, it's one that I don't think will be a big issue for MMA because I wasn't in WWE or in [SPEAKER_00]: to me, he's on a straight road.

[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, no, you know, to me in terms of analyzing the position.

[SPEAKER_00]: So, I started the fight at the weekend.

[SPEAKER_00]: He's first fight, he's betraying obviously for a few months with John Jones and Brandon Gibson and things like that.

[SPEAKER_00]: And two things were obvious, right?

[SPEAKER_00]: First of all, he's an unbelievable athlete who, at that level, I believe the guy he thought was, was he want an or one and one.

[SPEAKER_00]: He's one and one around that anyway.

[SPEAKER_00]: He's going to be able to troll guys like that around and beat him easily, right?

[SPEAKER_00]: So that was the first thing that was obvious.

[SPEAKER_00]: He's an athletic beast.

[SPEAKER_00]: The second thing was obvious is he's as green as grass.

[SPEAKER_00]: Like he made movements in that fight that you wouldn't have to be an expert to look at and go, ah, those are not the sort of things that you will be able to do no matter how good your rest then is in advice.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm not actually talking about the strike and you're looking to strike and look the way off.

[SPEAKER_00]: It put look.

[SPEAKER_00]: He how long has he actually been striking if it's if it's a year.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's probably a long time And I know he's probably doing bits and pieces before but when he's added full time now I'm sure that's the start of the thing with the groove and you know I wouldn't critique him on that too much It was when he got to the ground and he got on top and he was kind of standing above the guy who you know You own and he's career as well and kind of panic in and you know He knew he was gonna lose that fight [SPEAKER_00]: That to me is something you really, really need to, you know, put together in his game to go to that next level.

[SPEAKER_00]: So lots and lots and lots to work, and then I think it'll be foolish of me to see it or anyone to say, or just because of what he's achieved in amateur wrestling, collegial wrestling, or whatever you will call it, that he's just walking to MMA and be successful.

[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely, no, that's not the case, but [SPEAKER_00]: is he a guy built for possible success and then it absolutely and what I love you know obviously I cover Irish and we may young guys come in from the very started era career all the way up to the do you have seen and ranked fighters like you know obviously we had Macregor and Ian Gary and others like that as well and well used to seeing younger fighters and obviously this one is a bit different and a little bit special.

[SPEAKER_00]: But there's no guarantee that there will be grace.

[SPEAKER_00]: I've seen some really talented guys who taught Jesus this guy He's made for it and then it just doesn't work So I would be patient with campus thieves and I saw you know my guy kids and I do you have see shit And I'm straight away if I if I'm do you see what I do is Keep in touch with campus these some he's hiding he doesn't melt key cows He's manager.

[SPEAKER_00]: I think I think it is or the cowabrotters anyway [SPEAKER_00]: Don't sign for PFL, don't date that money yet.

[SPEAKER_00]: Let's get you in LFA, let's get you to three more fights.

[SPEAKER_00]: Let's get you to four, no.

[SPEAKER_00]: And you know what?

[SPEAKER_00]: We'll give you a condender series shot then.

[SPEAKER_00]: And you're probably win that and you know what?

[SPEAKER_00]: We'll give you another condender series shot in later on in the year.

[SPEAKER_00]: And it will sign you, I'll give you another six months, four, four, five, six months to improve before your USC debut.

[SPEAKER_00]: And you know what?

[SPEAKER_00]: You'll win that against an easy enough opponent and you'll go seven and all, right?

[SPEAKER_00]: That I think for everywhere as well with the electric ability of his is not too tough to put together right if that's a A one-tarty five-pounder or a lightweight or something that a little bit tougher you could catch someone who's really really really good like a look in in the PFL with Muhammad Ali's [SPEAKER_00]: Exactly what happened, but at heavyweight you can do that you get a mixed experience keep with Brandon Gibson, Greg Jackson and all those guys and let's see where this can go.

[SPEAKER_00]: I wouldn't be rushing this at all.

[SPEAKER_00]: So I think that's my talking game season really, really exciting.

[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, again, there's the same with the Irish fighters.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's great to be excited about this.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's great to be excited about watching someone's journey.

[SPEAKER_00]: We are all excited to begin with season X-Fight.

[SPEAKER_00]: We'll probably see every fighting we ever have.

[SPEAKER_00]: And it's fun.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's absolutely very, very fun.

[SPEAKER_00]: Right, let's talk about Diego Lopez.

[SPEAKER_00]: I've said a couple of times now and I'll reiterate it here again.

[SPEAKER_00]: Diego Lopez changed his life last Saturday night and he changed his life because of the way he fought in my opinion he fought a very stupid fight like he could have won that fight and we saw it in the first round like I thought he started in a he didn't start slow but he fought in a slow manner [SPEAKER_00]: on purpose, I think, which in my opinion, obviously he wouldn't, so I was wrong, but he wasn't that's revoured.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's the pace you would want to fight.

[SPEAKER_00]: If you're still there, you won't love his divided that pace.

[SPEAKER_00]: If I did that pace, set up the deck, I'm leaving it.

[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_00]: Right.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's worked out for him.

[SPEAKER_00]: No.

[SPEAKER_00]: Keep going to that.

[SPEAKER_00]: Did he stop going to go on for the takeout?

[SPEAKER_00]: Thought at not a slower pace, but like an in the pocket range as the pace.

[SPEAKER_00]: That silver was now fighting at and taking all the silver's best shots.

[SPEAKER_00]: It felt like he wanted to prove the point that I can not only beat you on the ground.

[SPEAKER_00]: I can take all your best shots and then beat you on the feet as well.

[SPEAKER_00]: And that legend makes.

[SPEAKER_00]: I was listening to it today in Hawaii talking about us during the week talking about Reverter Juran, I think was the box where we were talking about how every time we Reverter Juran tunes in I'll be watching or whoever be watching Diego Lopez in my opinion Now some people might disagree with me some people might think I'm going over but but for me from me I'm talking about Chanshi and there this is the she and Joe he became a guy at the weekend [SPEAKER_00]: that I love was shooting in for now.

[SPEAKER_00]: Like, and he wasn't to me, he wasn't that guy before, and I liked him before, and you know, after I've forgotten how I was thinking, I don't think I've forgotten how to get his best, and he lasts like something, and he's not the best best fighter in the world, but you don't need to be the best best fighter in the world to be a guy I tune in for every week, or not every bar, every time he fights, like I loved Diego Sanchez, he was one of my favorite fighters to watch.

[SPEAKER_00]: Like, one of my favorite fighters to watch.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now, in a different start-away, [SPEAKER_00]: Lopez became Max Holloway last night, you know, he became an R on Saturday, he became a adjusting gauge, he type of fighter, a dust and parry, a type of fighter, a guy who you see on a character to begin and go ah the rest of this character in the maze and put you know what?

[SPEAKER_00]: Diego Lopez is fighting your ear or Diego Lopez is fighting Ireland or Diego Lopez is fighting it's in Barbosa.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'm tuning to watch that because you know Diego Lopez is gonna make that fun.

[SPEAKER_00]: The other guy might be fun as well But Diego Lopez is gonna make that fun and that's why I ain't tuning in I'm a truly believe that like that's my biggest takeaway.

[SPEAKER_00]: What a great fight.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's like [SPEAKER_00]: What a graph I find it a year.

[SPEAKER_00]: I can then or know it out about it.

[SPEAKER_00]: Knockout or a year, can then there's all I think.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's kind of bypassing people a little bit.

[SPEAKER_00]: I actually think it is like, I earned to read in a couple of weeks.

[SPEAKER_00]: But Sergio Perez, like, kind of reminding me of the Sergio Perez, Kira Jharoguchi knockout, which I know over in severe May, will knock out a year.

[SPEAKER_00]: I believe will knock out a year in a few different places, but I think it's up there with that.

[SPEAKER_00]: Very not knock out brilliant fight and Diego Lopez.

[SPEAKER_00]: He became a star.

[SPEAKER_00]: Right, let's talk about two for boxing.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and Crawford versus, you know, as I said, I'm not the biggest box in fan in the world.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'm talking to my colleague, you know, and he's a big box of venues and he's a big fight fields and I believe that was the case for a lot of people not for me.

[SPEAKER_00]: Personally, I don't really, I watch a good bit of Kinello and I like Kinello, but I don't really know much about Crawford.

[SPEAKER_00]: Not that it's just I've been offered MMA and soccer and hard things.

[SPEAKER_00]: I don't have time for another sport, but [SPEAKER_00]: To me, it felt like a big event.

[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I was on it all the things if there's a big, if the Super Bowl is on, I know what's happening.

[SPEAKER_00]: You know, if there's the finally detainees or something like, you know, you hear about it happening.

[SPEAKER_00]: To me, it was one of those events for you about it happening.

[SPEAKER_00]: And especially when Dana White is a front and center of it, saw him all week, hard Dana White talk, and then doing different interviews.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now a lot of it was kind of a car crash interviews, but, [SPEAKER_00]: From my point of view, I'll say again, from my point of view, my point of view is MMA, right?

[SPEAKER_00]: I don't care about boxing, but I know a lot of people may be listening to this too, that you're a problem.

[SPEAKER_00]: No problem.

[SPEAKER_00]: I care about Harlem and Man United and not that, and I'm sure a lot of people listen here don't.

[SPEAKER_00]: So, right?

[SPEAKER_00]: I...

How would you put this?

[SPEAKER_00]: Intemime.

[SPEAKER_00]: We have some great fights coming up.

[SPEAKER_00]: Are you going to be out on Jim Roman on MSNBC or whatever?

[SPEAKER_00]: Those places are in America.

[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know the names of all the outfits that let us people call them.

[SPEAKER_00]: Are you going to be on those shows promoting that?

[SPEAKER_00]: Right?

[SPEAKER_00]: And that this might sound like a score next by from the world from the world ever, right?

[SPEAKER_00]: But at the end of the day, MMA is your sports.

[SPEAKER_00]: UFC is your organization, first and foremost.

[SPEAKER_00]: Boss, again, and this look, I have another two or three minutes here, this could be a two or three hours.

[SPEAKER_00]: Once the SPN deal came in, where they got 500,000 bodies for every event, he didn't need to promote anymore.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now he's 7.7 billion over 7 years.

[SPEAKER_00]: He doesn't need to promote anymore.

[SPEAKER_00]: We're not going to see this with USC, but here's a prediction for you.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I do all run severe man, but do my ball predictions at a sack of every year.

[SPEAKER_00]: I give you a bit of a spoiler here for one.

[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't gain a white, well that's sick a box of berries, and I didn't into any 26.

[SPEAKER_00]: He'll tear it all up and go, I can't be dealing with this.

[SPEAKER_00]: You see the picture of him, sit alongside Turkey, whatever his name is, ringside.

[SPEAKER_00]: He looked like he wish he could be anywhere else.

[SPEAKER_00]: Can't he deny it was in his room?

[SPEAKER_00]: He probably got the helicopter, the taxi, the bike, over from the P.I.

[SPEAKER_00]: to the Legion Stadium.

[SPEAKER_00]: and he was watching that lop as a form into fight against uh...

against silver against john silver your enemy didn't wish he was at that vote your enemy didn't wish he was at the t.o.c.

[SPEAKER_00]: and like i watched the box so much you know i and i like when it is a great box match that was boring it was a boring one side is about not great [SPEAKER_00]: And Denoi said during the week he didn't want Pad Guest, but there was Pad Guest between all the box and matches.

[SPEAKER_00]: Jimmy was, it was an atrocious view, so I fell asleep, but I woke up the next day to watch more of it.

[SPEAKER_00]: It was like a Saudi propaganda video as well for half, but I was like, I'm turning this off.

[SPEAKER_00]: I think Denoi, [SPEAKER_00]: is no fool.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I think he'll get sick and at very, very quickly.

[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's going to be really, really hard.

[SPEAKER_00]: He's not about doing the, you know, wins and I boxing in the series or whatever.

[SPEAKER_00]: He's going to be tougher to get fighters to our boxer, sorry, and our fighters to [SPEAKER_00]: Come in to that and be part of that like it is what MMA fighters MMA fighters are absolutely delighted to be given the opportunity It's got to be tougher.

[SPEAKER_00]: It is going to be tougher and I think he's going to struggle and I think he's going to get sick if I don't think he's probably going to Troll in the towel for more if you excuse the phone, but yeah, that's my thoughts on zoo for box I honestly it's not gonna affect me very much to be honest.

[SPEAKER_00]: I leader completely ignores are enjoy it [SPEAKER_00]: So, all the one to me, I just, I hope it doesn't affect the UFC, but if we hadn't the SPN deal and we were just coming in to the Paramount Plus deal now, I would say yeah, big issues, because we're going to stop caring about it.

[SPEAKER_00]: They've already stopped caring about it.

[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't think it can make much of a difference to be honest.

[SPEAKER_00]: So if I box and will it affect them a bit, no, I don't think it will.

[SPEAKER_00]: All right, everyone.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's it for me for today.

[SPEAKER_00]: The trending news.

[SPEAKER_00]: Let me know in the comment section below if you agree or disagree give us these and Lopez Zufaboxing give me your thoughts on those but also give me suggestions.

[SPEAKER_00]: What you want me to talk about next week or week after whenever it is I'll have a look at all the doors.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'll be in the replies and we'll talk about them in a future general.

[SPEAKER_00]: But until then, my name is Sean she and for shared out that comment.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'll see you all next time.
