Episode Transcript
[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome to the Forty-K-Lorecast.
[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome to Forty-K-Lorecast with me, John Barsani and Brad Jester.
[SPEAKER_00]: This guy.
[SPEAKER_00]: On today's cast, we're going to finish our coverage, full sort of of the Nephilim.
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, no, no, we're not.
[SPEAKER_01]: We say that's we're going to like, John, why do you turn this podcast into a house of lies?
[SPEAKER_00]: And it's more fun that way.
[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to, what, we're going to stop talking about it after this podcast for a bit.
[SPEAKER_00]: How's that for an answer?
[SPEAKER_00]: Fine.
[SPEAKER_01]: We are going to cliffhanger the hell out of you guys spoiler It's not our fault.
[SPEAKER_00]: She w did it so I just this is me just passing the buck here it is.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's basically someone got a hot plate and handed me a hot plate and here's a hot plate and I went cool Let me give the next person they can have that hot plate [SPEAKER_00]: For the K-Lorecast, the weekly show in the lore of Warhammer Forty-K Universe, releasing every Monday at seven p.m.
[SPEAKER_00]: Eastern.
[SPEAKER_00]: Please continue following and combating the show.
[SPEAKER_00]: It does help us out a lot, guys.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's really great to see how far and how high up we are ranked.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's.
[SPEAKER_00]: I am competitive and the other people in the leisure podcast group can suck it.
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going back on top one hundred.
[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see, Dawn of War four is coming out.
[SPEAKER_00]: Wait, you'll see.
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, like, we'll crank again.
[SPEAKER_00]: And if I have a show ever comes out, who does Dawn of War four?
[SPEAKER_00]: By the way, we have to look, we're, you know, I got to record like ten episodes in advance because I'm gone for two or three weeks.
[SPEAKER_00]: Just let you know.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, you know what we could do, John, for the YouTube page.
[SPEAKER_01]: We could do some playthroughs with peeps.
[SPEAKER_00]: No, I want to play in peace.
[SPEAKER_00]: I just want to sit there and play my Don of War for unless it's like Don of War three, in which case I won't play very much of it.
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I however really like people to play with me.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm good.
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm good.
[SPEAKER_00]: If you like the show and you want more of Brad and I, you can come over to the link to our YouTube page, there you'll find old versions of the show converted over with imagery, our live Q&A sessions which we do have another one coming up.
[SPEAKER_00]: Our other shows, the history of Forty Kay and two old men on their handler.
[SPEAKER_00]: Additionally, in the show notes, it's linked to our Patreon.
[SPEAKER_00]: Massive thank you to all people who have joined our Patreon so far in helping us out.
[SPEAKER_00]: It is really helping us expand quite a bit.
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, beyond the initial pieces of new equipment, we now are on YouTube, we're able to actually do a lot more stuff than we ever could before.
[SPEAKER_00]: We've got streaming platforms, all this stuff.
[SPEAKER_00]: So, huge thank you.
[SPEAKER_00]: For those of you who want to support it, it's only four dollars in ninety nine cents American or six hundred and sixteen point seven to Icelandic Corona.
[SPEAKER_00]: Most of us are aware that Iceland is loaded with natural beauty from its volcanoes, glaciers and really crazy landscapes.
[SPEAKER_00]: But did you know it actually one of the world's oldest governments established in nine thirty a.
D.
The guys.
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sorry, and I suddenly get this wrong.
[SPEAKER_00]: Al thingy is what I think how are they going to upset has been ruling the country is it's their parliament ever since over nine.
[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
[SPEAKER_01]: Just continue.
[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
[SPEAKER_00]: By the way, this thing started at nine thirty, which puts it almost nine hundred years before the English Parliament.
[SPEAKER_00]: Also, even more interesting to me, there's not a single McDonald's in the entire country.
[SPEAKER_00]: The last one closed in two thousand nine.
[SPEAKER_00]: Good for you, Iceland.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well done.
[SPEAKER_00]: Good for you.
[SPEAKER_00]: Good for you.
[SPEAKER_00]: Lastly, by the way, guys, I'm going to keep doing that every week.
[SPEAKER_00]: So welcome to wear in the world as Carmen Santiago, two thousand twenty five edition with this voice.
[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, lastly, we do also have a [SPEAKER_00]: We've got our Discord, a link in the show notes for people looking to interact more about Warhammer.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's really an incredible community that I could not take more pride in.
[SPEAKER_00]: Great place to interact with Brad and myself, more importantly to interact with other people who are like-minded and enjoy the Warhammer-Forty-K universe, the lore, et cetera.
[SPEAKER_00]: We've got great spots for literature recommendations, part of the number one thing that people doing there is literature and gameplay recommendation, outside of just screwing around and posting memes, even pets, food, workouts, everything.
[SPEAKER_00]: Come on in.
[SPEAKER_00]: Big thank you to the moderator team who's actually the ones who built the thing.
[SPEAKER_00]: I clicked the buttons and made it happen.
[SPEAKER_00]: They're the ones who actually made the whole function.
[SPEAKER_00]: Don't let him burn down kids.
[SPEAKER_00]: Don't let it burn them down.
[SPEAKER_00]: One day I'm going to burn this thing down.
[SPEAKER_00]: They all know it.
[SPEAKER_00]: Everyone's aware that one day I get the press that button.
[SPEAKER_00]: I just want to win that day is it could be twenty seven could be twenty thirty who knows the one day I'm pressing that button one day onto the cast.
[SPEAKER_00]: So [SPEAKER_00]: In our last cast, we talked about the Caledys battle group entering the Nephilim sector.
[SPEAKER_00]: They were the first ones to really see the effects of the pylons in the stilling firsthand.
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, we would see it before, but they were all dead.
[SPEAKER_00]: The first ones to report on it, better way to say it.
[SPEAKER_00]: After pushing forward, they discovered this massive Necron pylon on a world named Mesmoch.
[SPEAKER_00]: And it's just upon its discovery, the group master named Marin realized he'd found the first of his targets in the system.
[SPEAKER_00]: But what Marin didn't realize he'd been watched the entire time.
[SPEAKER_00]: And not just watched, by the way, watched and monitored.
[SPEAKER_01]: I would say, I would say, study to be more accurate on that.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, probably.
[SPEAKER_00]: But what I'm trying to do is also infiltrate.
[SPEAKER_00]: In the sense that he's not just being stuck, but what he's doing, [SPEAKER_00]: Caesar also is not watching from a distance saying like like the note book like oh this is kind of interesting like documentary.
[SPEAKER_00]: He infiltrated the computer systems.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah exactly that's why it's a but dad Brad's right that he was trying to see what's going on.
[SPEAKER_00]: So Marin puts out this call across the system for all of his forces about the pilots and he receives word back from all the place that these pounds are present all across the sector from scout ships.
[SPEAKER_00]: At the same time, he's receiving words that the pilots were not unguarded.
[SPEAKER_00]: Necrone forces are being seen on the ground and they orbit all around the systems, and some had already started attacking the scout groups that had gone in.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's a very good fleet commander.
[SPEAKER_00]: And the reason I point that out is a lot of times in GW writing, someone like this would be adult.
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, he fell for a trap.
[SPEAKER_00]: No, Marin's very, very good.
[SPEAKER_00]: And Marin realizes pretty quickly that he cannot handle them backgrounds spread out.
[SPEAKER_00]: So he decides I'm going to go kind of with the US did with the island hopping in World War II.
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just going to pick key areas, blow them up and move on from there.
[SPEAKER_01]: Let's say, he pulls all his forces together, centralizes them, and then goes, they can't beat this centralized, basically pocket of force.
[SPEAKER_01]: They can't, we can't take them out if we try to hit them where they are, which is everywhere on the system.
[SPEAKER_01]: Or the sector.
[SPEAKER_01]: But we can win individualized small wars everywhere.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, except you were totally wrong on that, you buck his ass kicked.
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh yeah, he's just, that's what he's trying to do.
[SPEAKER_00]: His strategy was that.
[SPEAKER_00]: The truth doesn't go that well.
[SPEAKER_00]: So he decides to start at Mezmok because it's the largest pond discovered so far.
[SPEAKER_00]: So he assumed if I blow up this one probably has a good effect.
[SPEAKER_00]: Unfortunately, the Necrons have been calculating this plan since they started putting the pie lawns down.
[SPEAKER_00]: Scissor was new.
[SPEAKER_00]: What must I say?
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I love this.
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, why he knows this?
[SPEAKER_01]: Because in almost infinite amount of simulations they ran already this happened.
[SPEAKER_01]: So he's already numerous times by the way.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they knew they would do this.
[SPEAKER_00]: The big problem is that as Maran begins to do this, the first problem was in two is the power of the pylon was so much that disrupted the work travel in the system.
[SPEAKER_00]: So in Maran's force arrived, it was kind of Hodgepodge, only two thirds of the fleet arrived and they were spread all over the place and delayed and transit.
[SPEAKER_00]: The bigger problem though is that when they got there, they forgot how fast Necrons can arrive.
[SPEAKER_01]: which is instantaneous, so they were showing up in ones and twos, and the Necron showed up with yes.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, so the Necrons are able to do is they have something very similar to Eldar Webway, whereas the Eldar actually used the webway portals to travel through.
[SPEAKER_00]: The Necrons have something that it lines that they have dome and gates, which is similar, but they also have phase shift things.
[SPEAKER_00]: They've got two ways of moving through like this, but what they can do is appear in an instant enforce.
[SPEAKER_00]: And that's exactly what happened.
[SPEAKER_00]: Suddenly the planet Mesmoch was covered in orbital defense platforms.
[SPEAKER_00]: So as they're getting closer to it, it just begins opening up and then in space, a ton of Necron warships arrive.
[SPEAKER_00]: Maran knows this battle is going to be a total loss if he doesn't get rid of the pylon ASAP.
[SPEAKER_00]: So he deploys his forces planet side.
[SPEAKER_00]: The ultramate is actually lead the attack.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's supported by black ten large death watch.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, kill teams, barrel guard, and also the ultramate is leading the attack because if you're going to get heavy fire, you need somebody that's covered in thick ass plot armor.
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, it's a very good thing because it's actually a big squad of space Marines, but they also didn't have a warlord tight and I should point out.
[SPEAKER_00]: The fleet in orbit begins just bombarding the pile on from space, and this turn, all of this though, was fleeting at best.
[SPEAKER_00]: This is an apocalypse class worship on low to the full barrage at it.
[SPEAKER_00]: And the best I can give the example of, and I know people don't love this movie, but Star Wars episode eight, hate this movie, we can see.
[SPEAKER_00]: No, it's, look, the thing, we talk about hating Star Wars movies, eight doesn't make the top three.
[SPEAKER_00]: You're high on crack cocaine.
[SPEAKER_00]: What are the worst?
[SPEAKER_00]: One, [SPEAKER_00]: Two.
[SPEAKER_01]: No, not so bad.
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, nine's really bad too.
[SPEAKER_00]: That's like what?
[SPEAKER_00]: One in nine or definitely the worst.
[SPEAKER_00]: I would argue two's worse than it.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
[SPEAKER_01]: Do all the fates came out of one though.
[SPEAKER_00]: Cool side and cool.
[SPEAKER_00]: So in episode eight, there's a scene where they shoot everything at Skywalker and then it finishes.
[SPEAKER_00]: He just standing there.
[SPEAKER_00]: That's what happened here.
[SPEAKER_00]: They fired everything in the pile on it.
[SPEAKER_00]: And then as soon as the dust cleared, the pile on it was hanging out.
[SPEAKER_01]: But unlike Skywalker, if the pilot was actually there, they just had it shielded.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: And the issue they realize pretty quickly is the Necron possess these force fields that can completely negate distance bombardment.
[SPEAKER_00]: But they also kind of stole from doing.
[SPEAKER_00]: And if I'm being honest, that's how they're doing.
[SPEAKER_00]: Shields work with why everyone's doing this to stab everybody.
[SPEAKER_00]: They realize they have to get close.
[SPEAKER_00]: And that becomes the next plan.
[SPEAKER_00]: Let's get really close.
[SPEAKER_00]: And then we'll blow it up when we're right next to it.
[SPEAKER_00]: This doesn't go great, candidly.
[SPEAKER_00]: The Necrons.
[SPEAKER_00]: encountered by imperial forces outside of maybe the ad meck had always been partially awakened tombroads or isolated ones.
[SPEAKER_00]: This world is neither.
[SPEAKER_00]: This world is a key world under the protection of Cesar Os, the forces that they ran into are both coordinated by Cesar Os, but also equipped by one of the largest dynasties in the galaxy.
[SPEAKER_00]: So the imperial forces hit something greatest Necron foe, they've probably ever faced.
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, yeah, no, definitely the worth of it, because I don't know who's faced foe, like this is dead.
[SPEAKER_00]: So for these people, this is the worst Necron they've ever had.
[SPEAKER_00]: Assault in the pile on [SPEAKER_00]: quickly turns from like a minor gain for the imperial forces to a total route and then a very furious retreat.
[SPEAKER_00]: By the time the landing crafts got back to the fleet and orbit, the losses weren't.
[SPEAKER_00]: Now it was catastrophic but highly significant.
[SPEAKER_00]: At the same time though, I would say catastrophic.
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, the reason I won't say catastrophic is because Marin does actually, he's able to get his forces back together later.
[SPEAKER_00]: If it's catastrophic, I would say, it's over.
[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
[SPEAKER_00]: So this wasn't over.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but this was bad.
[SPEAKER_00]: At the same time, though, Cesar has been popping these traps all over the place.
[SPEAKER_00]: He's every imperial force in the entire sector is being overrun.
[SPEAKER_01]: Let's set it up from before though.
[SPEAKER_01]: They're not trying to kill all of them because in the end, the Necrons want someone so they can retake, retake, mortal form, and they also know that they need something to stop the tyrannids because so that was the whole plan is to get humanity kind of speed bumping the tyrannids for them and for them to get their bodies back.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and they did it in the most Necron fashion possible, where they just tried to exert dominance, expecting that everyone would just count out to them.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's a countoutal.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's a countoutal, isn't it?
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, countoutal.
[SPEAKER_00]: Mm, very nice.
[SPEAKER_00]: Everyone's just like count out to them and say, y'all, you guys should be our leaders.
[SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot of the movie stargate floating around the Necron.
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, hundred percent.
[SPEAKER_00]: I think just like not S.
G.
One, we're not having this fight in discord again, but I'm still standing by my statements from before.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's a great show for those who don't know what I'm talking about.
[SPEAKER_00]: My viewpoint on Stargate SG one, Grisco County to the bunch of these just sadly.
[SPEAKER_00]: I love files.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, if you want to get riled up, John will occasionally pop in and go things that you like suck.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm out.
[SPEAKER_00]: They don't just never watch them again.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's all I'm saying.
[SPEAKER_00]: The memory in my heart of some of these shows is fantastic.
[SPEAKER_00]: I tried rewatching them and I made it like thirty minutes like I'm not going to ruin my childhood.
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just going to stop right now and just let it sit as the perfect memory in the back of my brain.
[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, all over the sector, the Battle Groups are under complete assault in the Crown Forces, and the biggest problem they're running into is that in lore, Necrons are basically unstoppable.
[SPEAKER_00]: We play the game at the table top where they're very much so not highly unstoppable except for that little blip in ninth edition, where running was at sixty scarves.
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, yeah, we actually...
That was before it.
[SPEAKER_00]: That was nice.
[SPEAKER_00]: That was nice.
[SPEAKER_00]: It was nice because it happened here.
[SPEAKER_00]: It was in Michigan and there's no launch to vote before I moved the mission.
[SPEAKER_00]: There's so many staffs.
[SPEAKER_00]: But anyway.
[SPEAKER_00]: The thing about necrons in the lore is they excel in air and space combat.
[SPEAKER_00]: One of these bread hates on tabletop, the other one is on the tabletop.
[SPEAKER_00]: And this is because necrons are living metal.
[SPEAKER_00]: They don't have internal organs.
[SPEAKER_00]: So G forces just don't matter to them.
[SPEAKER_00]: We talked about the L there being able to handle high G force.
[SPEAKER_00]: They're still living beings.
[SPEAKER_00]: The necrons can do more.
[SPEAKER_00]: So necrons ships can move, stop, turn.
[SPEAKER_02]: But you do one, eight, eight, eight, eight, eight, eight.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, an impossible speeds.
[SPEAKER_00]: So one of the problems Imperial Navy runs into, it's why they're just kind of their butts handed to them, is that they will lose ninety-nine percent of their forces in a dogfight.
[SPEAKER_00]: They cannot dogfight against the Necrons.
[SPEAKER_00]: The only chance they had is to use high volumes of fire, where they just turn the ship sideways, fire all the guns like flat cannons.
[SPEAKER_01]: Hold on, but to be fair, it's kind of especially of the imperial forces to volume out whatever it is.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's their go-to.
[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, man, is this a tricky powerful foal that we don't understand?
[SPEAKER_01]: How about we just use either tons of bodies, tons of volume of fire, tons of people, period, and that's just what we're going to do.
[SPEAKER_01]: We'll just cover the sky with bullets and see how it works out.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the imperial forces use this now.
[SPEAKER_00]: They realize that this battles are being lost.
[SPEAKER_00]: They have to retreat from all these areas and reform again somewhere else.
[SPEAKER_00]: So they do really Brad said, there's turn to ships the side and fire all the guns to retreat.
[SPEAKER_00]: The problem is that Cesara's is not done with his trap yet.
[SPEAKER_00]: He effectively turns the pylons up to an eleven.
[SPEAKER_00]: You might ask why I just make ten the loudest.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's because these pylons go to eleven.
[SPEAKER_01]: Turn it up, spinal tap that crap.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's so good.
[SPEAKER_00]: God, that movie is good.
[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm so excited for the sequel.
[SPEAKER_00]: But as the imperial forces try to mustering, use the work to get out.
[SPEAKER_00]: They discover there's no warp.
[SPEAKER_00]: Their work drives just won't engage.
[SPEAKER_01]: And if the navigators have nothing to navigate because it's just, they look outside and go, hey, I can see blackness, period, nothing else.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: And so they have to make like an FTL retreat back out of the system.
[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I have to be honest guys, what we're going to describe here, I'm going to do what sounds like a jump.
[SPEAKER_00]: This is happening at about the same time, because the entirety of the endominus crusade, everything's happening all at one sever.
[SPEAKER_00]: So while this is occurring in one section, there's another section that's also under attack for lack of a better phrase.
[SPEAKER_00]: But this one involves the sisters of battle and this sends up flipping it around back for the Imperium.
[SPEAKER_00]: The sisters of battle have been fighting word bears actually on the edge of the Nephilim sector.
[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously not in it because the word bears wouldn't have enjoyed being under the pilot effect.
[SPEAKER_00]: When word came that the Imperium had been taking heavy casualties, though, the sisters deployed to the area to support.
[SPEAKER_00]: Because remember, the sisters are multiple groups.
[SPEAKER_00]: You've got the sisters a battle, which we play on the tabletop, but you also have the sisters who are nurses and medical aid.
[SPEAKER_00]: So when the Imperium is struggling, they deploy to those areas.
[SPEAKER_01]: Because the sisters have different orders.
[SPEAKER_01]: And they're hugely the medical, the help.
[SPEAKER_01]: They have the preachers.
[SPEAKER_01]: The sisters of battle.
[SPEAKER_01]: The Ecclesiarchy is gigantic.
[SPEAKER_01]: And the sisters of battle are a huge arm of that.
[SPEAKER_01]: And they have more than just the fighters.
[SPEAKER_01]: The fighters are actually a smaller portion than everything else.
[SPEAKER_00]: The sisters are likely, I think, I'm assuming it's probably Imperial Army's a guard than Navy then sisters.
[SPEAKER_00]: It would be my guess in size.
[SPEAKER_00]: Arbites possibly could be in there, but as far as official arms, be somewhere in that room.
[SPEAKER_00]: That's how I would put it.
[SPEAKER_00]: The key thing about this is that the sisters deployed to these worlds where there are endless casualties, and these are worlds under the effect of the stealing.
[SPEAKER_00]: When they get there, unlike the commissars, and they see these people who work, but if they're giving up on life, they don't just start executing them.
[SPEAKER_00]: But the sisters begin doing is actually encouraging them, preaching the light of the emperor, and telling them, hey, through the emperor, you can regain yourself, regain your composure.
[SPEAKER_00]: And the interesting piece here is that this whole time, this is a scene of the book by the way, you can mean it's well written.
[SPEAKER_00]: The sisters who are present in this area don't feel the effects of this still.
[SPEAKER_00]: So they're actually at a hundred percent just walking around.
[SPEAKER_00]: And what this is just our doing is it's our preaching to them, believe in the emperor.
[SPEAKER_00]: He is your guidance, whatever.
[SPEAKER_00]: And people start getting up.
[SPEAKER_00]: The stealing starts to vanish.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, all we know about this situation is that in the Nephilim sector, the citizen of battle felt none of the ill effects of the stealing.
[SPEAKER_00]: They actually were outperforming space marines because of that.
[SPEAKER_00]: And when Imperial soldiers were around them, not so much like an aura from them, but hearing their battle cries and their encouragement into believing in the emperor and supporting the emperor, they actually started feeling less of the effects of this stealing.
[SPEAKER_00]: And GW never really explains how this works or any of the stuff that the sisters do.
[SPEAKER_00]: So either it's the power of the emperor is so great that even with the pylons in place, he can reach through the warp and still power it.
[SPEAKER_01]: Read the primer, John, read the primer, the emperor protects.
[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
[SPEAKER_00]: The poem says, how does he protect it?
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't really know.
[SPEAKER_01]: That sounds like some a heretical kind of speech that you're given right there.
[SPEAKER_01]: What do you mean?
[SPEAKER_01]: How it just does.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: But I like the how.
[SPEAKER_00]: The other one is possible that the emperor's power doesn't come from the work at all, but from the material.
[SPEAKER_00]: Because is it [SPEAKER_00]: And this is where I think it might be.
[SPEAKER_00]: I think the emperor is so powerful that when he was created, he became part of humanity itself.
[SPEAKER_00]: And that's why like how the golden throne works, how all these things work, he's almost for those who don't know like Genghis Khan I think has really like six percent of the entire human world.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's somewhere in that realm, but not as gross.
[SPEAKER_00]: I think the emperor may actually, all of the citizens in the Imperium may actually have some sort of physical connection to the emperor, be at the molecular level.
[SPEAKER_00]: So he's able to reach through to them, channel through.
[SPEAKER_00]: We are not going to do one of those stupid things in the Star Wars that ruined the forest for me.
[SPEAKER_00]: Please don't.
[SPEAKER_00]: I wish you could call it.
[SPEAKER_01]: No, I want to talk about it.
[SPEAKER_01]: I will not talk about the medical RNs.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, no, ruined everything.
[SPEAKER_00]: So anyway.
[SPEAKER_00]: Long story short, this sister's aren't effective by the stilling.
[SPEAKER_00]: That's gonna matter a lot.
[SPEAKER_00]: Because the next part of the pariah crusade gets a little bit goofy.
[SPEAKER_00]: Ephrails stir.
[SPEAKER_00]: So, Ephrails stirren.
[SPEAKER_00]: And Kagan Ali.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, when we did our coverage of the sister's a battle, we hinted at Ephrails stirren didn't cover.
[SPEAKER_00]: I do go back and check that by the way.
[SPEAKER_00]: So, I'm gonna do a quick hit on her real quick to clean up some of the backstory.
[SPEAKER_00]: Phil's story may be the most faithful of all this sister's a battle.
[SPEAKER_00]: although not perfectly attuned to all of their teaching.
[SPEAKER_01]: So Stern is cruising with an old R.
Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, the hard look when makes it worse, actually, I think actually.
[SPEAKER_00]: So F real Stern was a sister superior in a convent called Parnas.
[SPEAKER_00]: This kind of got targeted and overtaken by a keeper of secrets.
[SPEAKER_00]: The keeper then linked all of their bodies and minds together of all of us.
[SPEAKER_00]: There's there to torture them as one to maximize the joy and the for her and the pain and suffering for all of them.
[SPEAKER_00]: It was called.
[SPEAKER_00]: The plan backfire though because the all the linked sisters poured all of their what was left their souls and energy into F real stern and she was able to escape.
[SPEAKER_00]: Stern, she doesn't escape yet into Stern, Stern then kills herself, which then released her from the screaming cage.
[SPEAKER_00]: And then the remaining sister's energy resurrected her outside of the cage.
[SPEAKER_00]: We've all done this moving video games.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so that is super cool game-wise.
[SPEAKER_01]: They do this in the game because characters can instantly get back up.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so she then escapes, but what's fascinating is that she escapes and is found by the sisters.
[SPEAKER_00]: And the sisters are not thrilled at what they find because she was just with for years potentially under the effect of the key pro secrets.
[SPEAKER_00]: So they literally lock her away.
[SPEAKER_00]: I want to say it was a dip.
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it wasn't a decade, but they locked her away for a very long time.
[SPEAKER_00]: and just kept checking for any side of corruption.
[SPEAKER_01]: Because they thought she was a sleep region basically.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, no corruption at all.
[SPEAKER_00]: But she's imbued now with the warp, but no corruption.
[SPEAKER_00]: And there's more to her back story.
[SPEAKER_00]: There's three novels that she takes part in, or maybe the graphic novels, but still a lot more than what she's got both on that.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's really cool.
[SPEAKER_01]: I like her as a character quite a bit, even when she meets Ken.
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I'm, I do too.
[SPEAKER_00]: I think she's way more than the St.
[SPEAKER_00]: Celestean.
[SPEAKER_00]: I think, but she's probably number two to St.
[SPEAKER_00]: Celestean and power.
[SPEAKER_00]: And depending on the novel, she might be number one.
[SPEAKER_00]: That's how rough she is.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, she, you have it to breadpoint.
[SPEAKER_00]: She also does travel out with a former Harley Quinn.
[SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot going on there.
[SPEAKER_00]: But after all turns, cool.
[SPEAKER_00]: She's cool as hell.
[SPEAKER_00]: And the models, good, not great.
[SPEAKER_00]: Just candidly, it's good, not great.
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, for us, elder players, it was super annoying for the first new elder of tenth edition to be a sister's model, by the way.
[SPEAKER_01]: That was funny, actually.
[SPEAKER_00]: Then we got a bunch of models and everyone got excited and they rebased all of our models and we all got less excited.
[SPEAKER_00]: If you guys don't play out there, just notice I was a lot of us who've been playing them forever.
[SPEAKER_00]: GW did us the great joy of giving us a model update for the first time in twenty years.
[SPEAKER_00]: And then told us that if we had the old models, we had to go by a bunch of basic standards and rebates all of our models because they changed all the sizes.
[SPEAKER_01]: Three millimeters.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it was a lot.
[SPEAKER_00]: Some of them were actually a lot.
[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, Etsy solves problems.
[SPEAKER_00]: Afro-Storm is in the area, and she hears about the great loss that Marne the Forest took, and she goes to him.
[SPEAKER_00]: It says, look, let me lead a counterattack into the Netherlands.
[SPEAKER_00]: And this is for two reasons.
[SPEAKER_00]: One, she wants to bolster the campaign by claiming some land and destroying that.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think this is one of the bigger things because people, there is low morale because they just, yeah, they're doing the, the packs and stuff.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if you keep a score man, please get her ass kicked.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they're not happy.
[SPEAKER_00]: They're not doing well, and they also have a stilling overwhelming than they make even worse.
[SPEAKER_00]: Marin agrees, after his he'd heard about how this is just we're actually able to hold up against a Necrons and this thing wasn't affecting them.
[SPEAKER_00]: But Marin does something that's why I like Marin.
[SPEAKER_00]: He doesn't do the, let's give him a small force and see if it works out.
[SPEAKER_00]: He gives Stern to majority as well as let them his battle group.
[SPEAKER_00]: After the defeat of the mesmoc, [SPEAKER_00]: Marin knew that the imperial forces were doomed unless they could turn the tide here.
[SPEAKER_00]: And the force of the net cons were bringing a bear were so great, like a small incursion to see if this would work would auto fail.
[SPEAKER_00]: So he goes all in with stern.
[SPEAKER_01]: I love everything that comes up to here.
[SPEAKER_01]: The choice of where they decide to fight is so stupid.
[SPEAKER_01]: The optimal.
[SPEAKER_00]: All right, so this is GW just gets a little two dramatic sometimes.
[SPEAKER_00]: We make a spinal tap joke at the eleven.
[SPEAKER_00]: They love the turn key moments at eleven.
[SPEAKER_00]: We're in seven would be great guys.
[SPEAKER_00]: So they decide that we're going to go and we're going to push back into the necrons.
[SPEAKER_00]: And so what do they choose?
[SPEAKER_00]: They choose cherished, which is somebody they could have chosen.
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah, go ahead.
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sorry.
[SPEAKER_00]: But like that.
[SPEAKER_00]: This is so dumb.
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, this one's incredible.
[SPEAKER_00]: This is a, let me get through all the details of this series and how dumb this is of choice.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's an Arctic death world.
[SPEAKER_00]: What they mean by that is, it has blizzards of razor sharp ice low light.
[SPEAKER_00]: So it's all night fight.
[SPEAKER_00]: We're bringing it back, Brad, night fights back, eleven to edition.
[SPEAKER_00]: guysers of liquid nitrogen.
[SPEAKER_00]: So if you're a T-one thousand, you're also a would die here.
[SPEAKER_00]: These are all things that are fatal to humans and not to living metal robots.
[SPEAKER_00]: So good choice, Imperium, but the...
[SPEAKER_00]: God, it's all right.
[SPEAKER_00]: It takes me out of it how dumb this world is, but the imperial did learn their lesson and rather than attack the Necrons directly with ordinance, they actually use the planet against them.
[SPEAKER_00]: So what they did was the Necrons had a bunch of shielding around the two worlds they had there.
[SPEAKER_00]: So from orbit, they just blocked the mountains that are right next to them or enough of the land in front of them to just collapse them into the ground.
[SPEAKER_00]: So either [SPEAKER_00]: a mountain fell on top of the two world, or the two ones fell down into a chasm.
[SPEAKER_00]: Pretty good move.
[SPEAKER_00]: And this opening salvo gets the attention of the Necrons, who come launching themselves out to meet the attackers.
[SPEAKER_00]: But Ephraim Stern was correct.
[SPEAKER_00]: The light of the Emperor did shine within the attackers, and rather than quickly overwhelm them, which with the Necrons expected, the Necrons found themselves in a pitched battle with the Imperium.
[SPEAKER_00]: Then we get into forty pages of GW, but writing of the battle going back and forth where certain victory becomes certain defeat and then glimmer of hope and blah, blah, blah, blah.
[SPEAKER_00]: But a couple of key moments happen.
[SPEAKER_00]: Namely when Ephrails Stern sees the tide turning against her and she feels within herself a lack of faith in the Emperor.
[SPEAKER_00]: which she doesn't think very highly of, and then she goes, I can't pronounce us, but I didn't know.
[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you.
[SPEAKER_00]: Super, super Zion or Zion.
[SPEAKER_00]: All right, super Zion.
[SPEAKER_00]: And then she can do this by the way.
[SPEAKER_01]: She starts going nuts.
[SPEAKER_01]: She basically does the wider moment when he's just no and walks into the middle of the river, which is what she does.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: So she's so low is the leader of the Necrons and all of its rich guard, which is all of the Necron.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: The leader of the Necron forces fair on Shembvok who believed the powers the work wouldn't work here dies.
[SPEAKER_01]: Let's say what she is.
[SPEAKER_01]: She turns into what's called them the game and the demon future.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yep, which is super science sister.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: But I'll be honest on a tabletop.
[SPEAKER_00]: I wouldn't really go super side.
[SPEAKER_00]: I go.
[SPEAKER_00]: Neh, Sion.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, she's good.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: But, I mean, as I say, it's more, if you could turn it up from one to eleven on the table top, she goes like a maybe a three and a half.
[SPEAKER_01]: Also on the table top, there's zero chance she's killing the entire unit of licorrect, but I continue.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, this is Necrons are actually one of the armies.
[SPEAKER_00]: We've discussed this before that the custodes of the worst lord of tabletop, but Necrons are actually up there, because in the lore they are insane and then, but it's fine, whatever.
[SPEAKER_00]: While Ephrails started doing this, Cesaros is watching, he's kind of a mix of horrified and intrigued.
[SPEAKER_00]: He didn't care that this imperial murdered other necrons that means nothing, but he's a being of science at its core.
[SPEAKER_00]: And he's watching this happen.
[SPEAKER_00]: He can't figure out how the humans with their God Emperor.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think this is a big deal for in the book and in the turning point, because he didn't believe that this was a real thing.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then he actually saw [SPEAKER_01]: the power of their the emperor because he just thought it was just a battle cry for them.
[SPEAKER_01]: And it wasn't a real thing before.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the way I looked at it was I think Cesar us assumed and believe that the emperor was just a sort of powerful tiger who used the warp.
[SPEAKER_00]: And he viewed him almost a street magician using magic to convince everyone he was the most powerful being.
[SPEAKER_00]: And now he's saying no, there's real power here.
[SPEAKER_00]: There's something right here.
[SPEAKER_01]: Until he don't understand until now he thought he was a charlatan.
[SPEAKER_01]: He was just all smoking mirrors.
[SPEAKER_00]: And of course, as Ross' next thought is, how do we harness this?
[SPEAKER_00]: I'll be honest, did Necrons in the AdMec are really close, and they're both kind of entertaining.
[SPEAKER_00]: But what matters at this moment is the Imperium had won a decisive battle, and hope was restored again.
[SPEAKER_01]: which was the main whole reason for this is to get the people back, fight against the stealing, to fight against the Netherlands, not just given.
[SPEAKER_00]: We'll be right back after a quick break.
[SPEAKER_00]: Now, in another part of the same sector near this time, because guys in the book, it doesn't give time stamps.
[SPEAKER_00]: This is all just written out in paragraph form, so I don't know the exact order that's happening, it's all happening probably around the same time.
[SPEAKER_00]: We covered Inquisitor Draxus last time.
[SPEAKER_00]: She's the Inquisitor with the Green Dragon.
[SPEAKER_00]: Let's try to describe her.
[SPEAKER_00]: She was working to understand how to pull down the network of pilots and what she realized that the Imperium could not afford to destroy them from orbit for two reasons.
[SPEAKER_00]: first, once they started to attack them, the necrons were just phased into the system with an overwhelming force, and this all out of salt would just devastate the fleet.
[SPEAKER_00]: So it would you lead to this purech victory after purech victory until you couldn't actually have a victory anymore, because there were just too many pylons for them to take these kinds of losses for.
[SPEAKER_00]: The bigger problem they found was also that when they destroyed the pylon, they took the world with them.
[SPEAKER_00]: They were breaking the world in half.
[SPEAKER_00]: It was, it was an exterminatus.
[SPEAKER_00]: Again, the book of silent king that covered us really well, what it's like when they do this, they launch it and the entire, the atmosphere collapses, everything falls apart and a turn to world of death world.
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, what's the damn point then?
[SPEAKER_00]: of conquering this part of the galaxy, if ever where you conquer, you have to destroy.
[SPEAKER_00]: So they have to find a way to pull these things down without catastrophic losses for the Imperium or destroying the world itself.
[SPEAKER_00]: And they get their first breakthrough in what's called the Tretica system.
[SPEAKER_00]: Probably pronounced that way.
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going with Tretica.
[SPEAKER_00]: Sorry guys.
[SPEAKER_00]: Just the way this stuff got glad to read this.
[SPEAKER_00]: An Imperial Task Force of Sions, which are the special forces of the Imperio Guard, had returned with vid recordings of a pile and never.
[SPEAKER_00]: inquisitor dracces review the recordings and saw something what appeared to be effective a control center sitting in there and she realized if she could access that then maybe she could figure out how the pile of network worked and thereby disabled.
[SPEAKER_01]: However, as Admiral Eckbar would say, that's a trap.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: The science had actually been captured by the Necrons and had mine scabs and plant them to them.
[SPEAKER_00]: These are, it's not a technology scarrows.
[SPEAKER_01]: No technology.
[SPEAKER_00]: that the backgrounds used to both mind control, beings, but also see through them.
[SPEAKER_00]: This way getting spies in twofold.
[SPEAKER_00]: First, they'll give over false information, but also the like she transmit information to you.
[SPEAKER_00]: The good news for the imperium is, drags us was aware of that technology within the background that she knew the science of it.
[SPEAKER_00]: So she knew that the information the science works brought with both accurate, but it was also a trap in somebody incomplete.
[SPEAKER_00]: So she could just avoid the trap.
[SPEAKER_00]: The reward is real, though.
[SPEAKER_00]: So worth it.
[SPEAKER_00]: Drax is putting other pretty ballsy plan on being honest.
[SPEAKER_00]: First, what's the kind of fake one?
[SPEAKER_01]: It's not even just fake planning.
[SPEAKER_01]: Drax is puts on a full theater production in front of science.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_00]: And for those of us who were big history buffs in World War II, this is what the allies did.
[SPEAKER_00]: And then England did it.
[SPEAKER_00]: The Germans look at it and think it was over there, but secretly go somewhere else.
[SPEAKER_00]: That's what they did.
[SPEAKER_00]: The fun part about this is that the reason it worked is because as smart as Caesaruses, he's also an elitist.
[SPEAKER_00]: So he assumed humans were too stupid to know his tricks.
[SPEAKER_00]: So he fell for all of these faints.
[SPEAKER_00]: The next thing that your access knew, though, was the sister battle could visit the effects of the silly.
[SPEAKER_00]: So she goes and grabs Ephrails start to join her on this little adventure.
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know the order of operation here if it's after.
[SPEAKER_01]: We also throw a kiss in the book.
[SPEAKER_01]: They actually, they don't talk about it a lot, but everybody around the sisters, apparently at least has some sort of resistance to the silly.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's another more recent one.
[SPEAKER_00]: They talk about this as sisters when they keep preaching the God Emperor to everybody.
[SPEAKER_00]: And if you start preaching it back to them, he then fills you and so it removes the stillness of that.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you get like a shield from it.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, what Drexis realizes is that she brings enough forces, the Necrons would be engaged for a while, and her strike force could hit the Inter-Sankton.
[SPEAKER_00]: Also, I should note, in these books, the amount of imperial soldiers that just get sacrificed for Necrons and faints is not small.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's just going to bite.
[SPEAKER_00]: This looks a third time that we're going to do a faint, rebook or die.
[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we'll be saying a faint, and a few people are going to die.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's millions of people each time.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, their voices are wild.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, these are entire multiple regiments, and we're about to talk about some space marines.
[SPEAKER_00]: So arriving in Tretica, everything goes to black, the black Templars, because easily to sacrifice, they at least one raid, scissors have battle and guard special forces of science, lead another.
[SPEAKER_00]: It is too front campaign targeted all the Keynes, the lesions around Tretica, because Tretica was a key world in the Necron Empire, but there are key manufacturing areas, et cetera.
[SPEAKER_00]: So the Necrons respond, [SPEAKER_00]: in force, while this is happening, Draxus and her retinue drop right next to the pile up.
[SPEAKER_00]: The neck runs are focused elsewhere, so Draxus and team were actually able to deploy to the area pretty quickly, and it was her scissors, death watch, ad mapping, moving to position.
[SPEAKER_00]: However, once they get close enough, Caesarus becomes aware, and he attacks.
[SPEAKER_00]: bringing in first aircraft and that a massive ground support, because his goal was, all right, I fell for your trick, you all die.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he wants to make a point of it too.
[SPEAKER_01]: So he wants to overkill them to show the superiority, because he also leads the battle himself.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: Now, the problem for says Rossi's drugs is actually really new what she was doing.
[SPEAKER_00]: She knew that the site was trapped from the vid recordings.
[SPEAKER_00]: What she saw in the vid recordings were the markings of Dolmond Gates.
[SPEAKER_00]: Dolmond Gates are the Necrons' version of a Webway Gate.
[SPEAKER_00]: They still do use the Webway, but the difference is the Necrons can't walk around the Webway the way the Eldar can, but they can use portals within it.
[SPEAKER_00]: The Dolmond Gates are portals within it.
[SPEAKER_00]: So the Necron plan was to use the aircraft, hit, direct us in our group, and then pop out of the dolmen gates behind them, which would then make them retreat.
[SPEAKER_00]: And as they retreated, they could just mow them down as they went into Cesarus's next truck, because that's what the math said they would do.
[SPEAKER_00]: The problem is that Drexus knew this, so the second the dolmen gates began engaging Drexus sent her crew ran towards the gates to attack the people coming out of it, forcing them back.
[SPEAKER_00]: Scissoross sees this, and he says that this is very good.
[SPEAKER_00]: Flips his attack and goes after them again.
[SPEAKER_00]: As he goes in, he's massive blinding light.
[SPEAKER_00]: It was from the ADMEC.
[SPEAKER_00]: The ADMEC had some sort of device, and they were able to use a dome and gate to jump into the pile on.
[SPEAKER_00]: And then part two, the part two is the even better part.
[SPEAKER_01]: This is the surprise because the death watch go, hey, man, you know what's better than one melt a bomb?
[SPEAKER_01]: All of the melt a bombs.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the death watch left a solid middle finger surprise where every single one of those dome and gates had actually been trapped.
[SPEAKER_00]: So as soon as [SPEAKER_00]: and the crew go through the gate and disappear, all the gates blow up.
[SPEAKER_00]: Leaving Cesarus on the other side and Draxus and team on the inside of the pile.
[SPEAKER_01]: We give credit.
[SPEAKER_01]: There was a whole bunch of them that just stayed and got blown up by their own bombs to make sure that they did it though.
[SPEAKER_01]: So boss would move.
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh yeah, this is that us.
[SPEAKER_00]: Once inside, drags us in the crew, the good news is says or us, his guys are outside.
[SPEAKER_00]: The bad news is, Reath constructs, scarabs, and spiders are still all inside.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's everything that says conoptic and then something in front of it.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_01]: Because that's everybody that's inside that takes care of the manufacturing, the repair and everything else.
[SPEAKER_01]: Scaram spiders.
[SPEAKER_01]: And again, any conoptic?
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, it's inside here.
[SPEAKER_00]: The next part of this, that was super cool.
[SPEAKER_00]: So they keep pushing and fighting through them and get to the core.
[SPEAKER_00]: And in the core, they're searching for these data crystals.
[SPEAKER_00]: And inside these crystals is the knowledge that drags this knee.
[SPEAKER_00]: So she just gets these go hold these crystals and start basically diagnosing them.
[SPEAKER_00]: I know you're decoding them.
[SPEAKER_00]: But when she gets there, she finds something else.
[SPEAKER_00]: The power source of the pilot.
[SPEAKER_00]: which is a C-Tan.
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, C-Tan shot, got a full C-Tan shot.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's a C-Tan shot that is shackled inside there and is powering the entire complex.
[SPEAKER_01]: This is so wild though because this is pride is the downfall a bit of the necrons on this because you're using a piece of a star god just to kind of give an F-U to them.
[SPEAKER_01]: We won.
[SPEAKER_01]: We enslaved your pieces.
[SPEAKER_01]: This is so dangerous.
[SPEAKER_00]: If it is, but also they do them a lot, though, that we fair.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, they are.
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, they are.
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, they are.
[SPEAKER_00]: It is for the lower road trader.
[SPEAKER_00]: Your final boss is a sea ten chart.
[SPEAKER_00]: Like it's sorry, if you have beaten up by the games over two years old now, it's on you.
[SPEAKER_00]: But there are a bunch of this stuff.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'll find also make your either play on low difficulty level or make the most broken builds ever.
[SPEAKER_01]: Those games are so hard.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'll get this around.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, or he was like, oh, he's a safe game editor like an adult.
[SPEAKER_00]: My life is hard.
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, my view games also be hard.
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't even see the live in a life of just labor and pain.
[SPEAKER_00]: I want to escape anyway.
[SPEAKER_00]: We, after wave of Necrons, start crashing on Draxistigre, while she's trying to break apart these crystals and die, notice them.
[SPEAKER_00]: Until eventually, Cesaros himself shows up.
[SPEAKER_00]: But GW writing is GW writing, so as soon as Cesaros shows up and the force are circling in, she's finally able to decipher and decode the crystal and get the information she needs.
[SPEAKER_00]: but it's kind of too late because there's no escape.
[SPEAKER_00]: Every route around them is cut off.
[SPEAKER_00]: So she does the only thing you should do in that situation.
[SPEAKER_00]: They're on a power fist and start punching controls until the C-TAN gets out.
[SPEAKER_00]: Who's now, I would say less than happy?
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think was this Jurassic World, too, where they just butted.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, to your Rex out, that was the going up.
[SPEAKER_00]: Screw it.
[SPEAKER_00]: I do like, by the way, this, the scene is funny, because the C-Ten comes out, looks around, sees Necrons, and just be lines out for the Necrons to go start beating the crap out of them.
[SPEAKER_00]: Scissoross starts just freaking out and throwing out doesn't even care about drags.
[SPEAKER_01]: It just ignores humans.
[SPEAKER_00]: And at one point, the C-tand though after just pulling a bunch of Necrons limb from limb, harness the drags and points at it.
[SPEAKER_00]: Dragsis assumes, well, here's how I die, and then in instant later, her and her and what's left of her retinue are on the bridge of her ship up in orbit.
[SPEAKER_00]: I guess the C-Time did give the good old shooter McGavin.
[SPEAKER_00]: It wasn't the pointing at you, I agree.
[SPEAKER_00]: It was the I got you here.
[SPEAKER_00]: At which point by the way, Dragsis and team get out of touch.
[SPEAKER_00]: It is what we're done, everyone on the planet's probably dead anyway, but we're leaving now.
[SPEAKER_01]: They're looking like at the end of Rogue One when they're trying to get the information.
[SPEAKER_01]: Go, go, go!
[SPEAKER_00]: Just go!
[SPEAKER_01]: Right behind you!
[SPEAKER_00]: What's that the greatest movie close of it you've ever seen?
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, something like that.
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't.
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't.
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't.
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't.
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't.
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't.
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't.
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't.
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't.
[SPEAKER_01]: I can't.
[SPEAKER_01]: I can't.
[SPEAKER_01]: I can't.
[SPEAKER_01]: I can't.
[SPEAKER_01]: I can't.
[SPEAKER_01]: I can't.
[SPEAKER_01]: I can't.
[SPEAKER_01]: I can't.
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't.
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't.
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't.
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't.
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't.
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't.
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't.
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't.
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't.
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't.
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't.
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't.
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't.
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't.
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't.
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't.
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't.
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't.
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't.
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't.
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't.
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't.
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't.
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't.
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't.
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't.
[SPEAKER_01]: But not as good.
[SPEAKER_00]: But this is not as good as.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway.
[SPEAKER_00]: So here's a fun.
[SPEAKER_00]: There we guys.
[SPEAKER_00]: That whole story.
[SPEAKER_00]: I just told you of Draxus and the sea town, all this stuff.
[SPEAKER_00]: That came from the pariah talking awakening book, which was released in June of twenty twenty in July of twenty twenty five, which was not that long ago.
[SPEAKER_01]: One month ago after this recording.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: GW released a book called The Silent King.
[SPEAKER_00]: And in it, it turns out Call did all the same stuff drags to stick before drags is the idea of it.
[SPEAKER_00]: So we're gonna cover that now, but it's not really a rep con.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's just more another layer.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's also on the other side of the galaxy.
[SPEAKER_00]: What Kyle was doing is.
[SPEAKER_00]: No, it's also an effluent.
[SPEAKER_00]: This is all in Neffluent.
[SPEAKER_00]: That's the whole point.
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sorry, sorry.
[SPEAKER_00]: That's the other side of the galaxy.
[SPEAKER_00]: The other side of the sector.
[SPEAKER_00]: In the novel, it turns out the entire colladies assault going on at Nazmuck in the areas was all a distraction by call.
[SPEAKER_00]: Call nude.
[SPEAKER_00]: The necrons would attack in force.
[SPEAKER_00]: Once they started pushing attack in the pylons, [SPEAKER_00]: And in doing so he could create enough noise around it, that a small group could then actually infiltrate one of the pilots.
[SPEAKER_00]: And this book's really cool because they actually use a drop pod to get down to the surface, but they have to pull all the machine spirit out of the drop pod and have to manually use the drop pod to help it.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, let's talk about why because the Necrons can track machine spirits.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because the machine spirit probably comes from next one technology.
[SPEAKER_00]: Sorry, we know there's a shard of the voice dragon sitting on Mars and they've had access to it for a hundred and a thousand years, a hundred thousand years, a million years, who knows, but long story short.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, John theory, but I do believe that all machine spirits come from that current technology.
[SPEAKER_00]: So anyway, [SPEAKER_00]: They had to sneak he get down to the surface, they had to turn off all the machine spirit.
[SPEAKER_00]: Call in his group, permeate the inner sanctum of this pile-on, and call once his dad does three things.
[SPEAKER_00]: First, he shuts down the pariah network, which is where he allows the lady's better group to escape.
[SPEAKER_01]: Let's say temporarily.
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, very temporary.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's not down for long, but it's down for just enough.
[SPEAKER_01]: He shuts the tractor beam controls.
[SPEAKER_01]: No, be one style.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: The next thing he does is he downloads the workings of the Pylon network so you can figure how it blocks out the warp.
[SPEAKER_00]: And the third one, this sounds lame but the book is really cool.
[SPEAKER_00]: He reveals that the inner center of the Pylon is actually a pharaoh's device so it can actually teleport all a star trek and so they do that.
[SPEAKER_00]: So they all just phase back up their battleship and then again leave.
[SPEAKER_00]: And all of this is actually unknown to the Necrons, because call had a special device with him that all the scarabs that were going around the tomb network that they were in thought they were other Necrons and just let them be.
[SPEAKER_00]: But once he gets back to his ship, call goes to work.
[SPEAKER_00]: And he starts calling for all in noclith, which is the Imperial term for Blackstone, to be sent to him.
[SPEAKER_00]: And he starts building this device.
[SPEAKER_00]: He calls the Luminal Abrazers.
[SPEAKER_00]: why I don't know.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, what these are is they're either kind of attacks the ships and then drug along with the ships in the fleets and they're negative to the negative of the pile on that work.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and the most basic of terms, he's trying to push away by his turning the magnets on each other, so it forces away, but it kind of makes a work bubble.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so he basically brings access to the work with him as he moves around.
[SPEAKER_00]: This obviously pulls the stilling effect off, but also makes work travel functional.
[SPEAKER_01]: Weirdly enough, it makes work travel super accurate because they can only come where he is.
[SPEAKER_00]: That's true.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it doesn't make life a lot easier.
[SPEAKER_00]: And so he gets back, and this is where they rep kind of a little bit, so that now they blend together what calls done with what drags the system and what they just, they come together and realize, call now has a way for the battle groups to get into the sector, move around the sector and fight the sector at full strength.
[SPEAKER_00]: Draxus has a solution where she's made a code that'll actually make the pylon implode on themselves, destroying themselves and preserving the planet.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think that you meant to say just like independence day, she had a plan to upload a virus into their network.
[SPEAKER_00]: I completely forgot that was the plot of Independence Day.
[SPEAKER_00]: I haven't seen it so long.
[SPEAKER_01]: This is exactly what this is.
[SPEAKER_00]: You're right.
[SPEAKER_00]: It is.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's not a great.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's fine.
[SPEAKER_00]: It was really cool when I was young.
[SPEAKER_00]: So now the Imperium can avoid the effects of the stelling.
[SPEAKER_00]: They've got a way to destroy the pylons.
[SPEAKER_00]: All they have to do is land on them, infiltrate them and throw off the races.
[SPEAKER_00]: This was hard to do before what happens next.
[SPEAKER_01]: The Silent King is the person that was getting all this together.
[SPEAKER_01]: And he took offense to what was happening.
[SPEAKER_01]: So, yes.
[SPEAKER_00]: The Silent King shows up.
[SPEAKER_00]: And out the gate, this is quite bad for the Imperian.
[SPEAKER_00]: Because the Silent King is two main things.
[SPEAKER_00]: One, he's a master technician.
[SPEAKER_00]: Incredible tactician.
[SPEAKER_00]: He also, though, commands all the dynamites in the Necrons, and so his presence and his forces presence increase the efficacy of other Necron forces.
[SPEAKER_01]: Sally Kimmer was a battle meditation.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's also writing on a throne with two big ol' monoliths next to him that do a crazy amount of damage.
[SPEAKER_01]: He has basically chip weapons on his, [SPEAKER_01]: personal transport.
[SPEAKER_00]: And so the silent king comes in and starts unleashing on the imperial.
[SPEAKER_00]: All of the imperial advances halt and become retreats pretty quickly.
[SPEAKER_00]: And he's bringing boss mode stuff.
[SPEAKER_00]: One world, he unleashes a trillion scarrows that tear every single imperial soldier, everything apart.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's just almost as busy as sea of goo is all that's left.
[SPEAKER_00]: On another one, he takes five C-Tand Shards, which you never do, by the way, they're different C-Tands, obviously, but still five Shards, along with rates and annihilation barges and just destroy everything now.
[SPEAKER_01]: You could have said the annihilation barges annihilated them.
[SPEAKER_00]: But to be fair, of those three things, five C-Tand Shards, and annihilation barges, the annihilation barges are the lowest tier on that group.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's true.
[SPEAKER_01]: You're not wrong.
[SPEAKER_00]: Table top they're great, but just Laura's name like, oh, there's also an violation of bark.
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, and the race that face in and out of reality can face into your body and blow you up the inside.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's just not correct.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: Those things.
[SPEAKER_01]: No, that doesn't scary.
[SPEAKER_01]: That does not scary, but you know, it's a little bit scary here is when the silent king went, hey, I don't think you guys are moving fast enough.
[SPEAKER_01]: Get on it or die.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: And so the pile on network, next thing he does, he begins increasing the placement of the pile on network.
[SPEAKER_00]: And his goal is very clever here.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's not just to increase the size and the scope of the network, but to actually more these strategic and placement and that tack imperials there.
[SPEAKER_00]: So you turn the sibling up to eleven and then a tack immediately.
[SPEAKER_00]: So you've got them just completely backfooted and easy prey.
[SPEAKER_00]: Now, this is the part of the GW writing that we're going to get to, where this seems to escalate like in Anchorman, where I'm just, man, that is absolutely, quickly.
[SPEAKER_00]: Every GW, like, more zone change, you write it.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, chip, kill the guy.
[SPEAKER_00]: And for each interview you're writing is that, at the end, we're like, what is happening?
[SPEAKER_00]: So as the war is defaulting for the Imperials, Gilman deploys himself and his battle group, along with Carl and his battle group to the sector, which is a significant battle group of each.
[SPEAKER_00]: And so now, they start pushing the Necrons back.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's just this kind of stalemate, but the imperms is going to get a lot of help from a very unlikely source right now.
[SPEAKER_00]: As the silent king is doing this war in the Nephilim sector, not all of his diagnostic subjects are following his lead to the letter.
[SPEAKER_00]: A bunch of them saw this increased power as opportunity, because a silent king enables two murals to activate fastened normals.
[SPEAKER_00]: They're finding themselves at full strength or close to, and the sunking brings resources so you're manufacturing all this up to the better.
[SPEAKER_00]: The necrons are still going to necron, guys.
[SPEAKER_01]: And you're like, look, man, if you're going to turn your back to me, how am I going to knife you in the back?
[SPEAKER_01]: And so effective.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: So while taking in all the support from the silent king, a number of the smaller dinuses do raise and to other small dinuses to kill them off because they didn't really like them.
[SPEAKER_00]: So this is happening over in the area.
[SPEAKER_00]: Others were also taking vengeance.
[SPEAKER_00]: You had some who had issues with the orcs, or were like, I don't care about these humans.
[SPEAKER_00]: Those orcs were an issue.
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to go make them not exist anymore or death watch or ad mech.
[SPEAKER_00]: Anyone who really wronged them in the past, they're spreading out.
[SPEAKER_00]: So the silent king is not quite the focused force that he wants to be and needs to be in the Sarah.
[SPEAKER_00]: That though is nothing compared to what's going to happen next.
[SPEAKER_01]: The silly cake right now has to be going, man, if only I had command protocols right now, I could force everybody to do exactly what I want them to do immediately as opposed to infighting with everybody and backstabbing and wandering aimlessly around.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and the thing about Necron leadership is Necron leadership is earned, but it also must be forcefully held.
[SPEAKER_00]: And so any sign of weakness is a chance for rivals to come in and try and challenge for power.
[SPEAKER_00]: So the war going on in that film sector with guillament and calls arrival is now turned into basically World War One.
[SPEAKER_00]: It is in trenched areas.
[SPEAKER_00]: The batteries aren't just brutal attrition.
[SPEAKER_00]: Emotech the Stormlord sees his opportunity.
[SPEAKER_00]: Emotech does not agree with the Silent King's overall goals of reversing bio-transference.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, really?
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, let's talk about Emotech thinks it's awesome to be in a Necro-Dermissar.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he's made of instantly healing incredibly strong material.
[SPEAKER_00]: He's all but immortal and invincible.
[SPEAKER_00]: He doesn't want to go back to being squishy.
[SPEAKER_00]: At the same time, he sees not only that in himself, but he sees this as how neck runs can conquer the galaxy.
[SPEAKER_00]: We are the superior being, species, and the galaxy, it's ours to take.
[SPEAKER_01]: And also, it's ours to take forever, and I can rule forever.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because Emo ten also ran the largest and most powerful in Dynasties, the South Tech.
[SPEAKER_00]: The Silicon King had a large one, but the South Tech, Dynasties itself is the biggest and the most powerful.
[SPEAKER_00]: And they got there by force, by the way, they conquered a bunch of other Necrontone worlds, enveloped a lot of their wars into the row and killed everybody in their way.
[SPEAKER_00]: They are massively powerful.
[SPEAKER_00]: Emo Tech has been biting his time since the return of the silent king, waiting for a chance to challenge him for control of the backgrounds, but he had to wait because the silent king had to show weakness first.
[SPEAKER_00]: Once the silent king shows weakness, and then he can attack.
[SPEAKER_00]: all of the other dynasties would stay out of it because they don't want to get pulled into being on the wrong side in case he lost exactly because the silking loses and they were on team silking then they're getting e-motex full wrath and they also won't back e-motex because they don't with the silking's wrath [SPEAKER_00]: But so they all just play Switzerland.
[SPEAKER_01]: Everybody's got a hat with two hills.
[SPEAKER_00]: Sensing to the Silent King had been stalled out by a lesser species.
[SPEAKER_00]: Emotech makes his move.
[SPEAKER_00]: And in an instant, the civil war erupts all across an effluent sector as Neckron forces appear and attack other Neckron forces.
[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes destroying the imperial forces that are there fighting with them, sometimes ignoring them completely.
[SPEAKER_00]: And at first, it's kind of funny.
[SPEAKER_00]: This is a huge boom for the impairing.
[SPEAKER_00]: They're great.
[SPEAKER_00]: The backgrounds are fractured and they start making massive gains.
[SPEAKER_00]: Draxist and call are moving in.
[SPEAKER_00]: Their new tactic is pulling down pylons, but as it's pulling down these pylons, the silent king gets pissed.
[SPEAKER_00]: And he decides, fun story on the Necrons.
[SPEAKER_00]: Much like the AdMac, they've got a bunch of quote-unquote forbidden technology.
[SPEAKER_00]: Whereas the Necrons, it's not only forbidden, they just view it as unnecessary as opposed to the Imperium where the AdMac are actively told.
[SPEAKER_00]: You never get to use this weapon ever, ever, ever.
[SPEAKER_00]: Because the difference is the Necrons will use a galaxy destroying weapon when the galaxy has to be destroyed.
[SPEAKER_00]: The admeck will use it when they see a cockroach.
[SPEAKER_01]: Let's just see what happens if I push the beat right button.
[SPEAKER_01]: But it says not to.
[SPEAKER_01]: Let's push it anyways.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and the Necrons do in this situation, we have this draw first blood.
[SPEAKER_00]: They deploy something called the techno-mandrites, which are, they appear randomly in a few codexes, and then in this one book.
[SPEAKER_00]: They are this collection of what are referred to as super cryptx that date back to the war in heaven, that the Necrons and the sucking actually imprisoned, because they were so afraid of the power that they wielded.
[SPEAKER_00]: There's not a lot of detail in guys who give you all that I have, by the way.
[SPEAKER_00]: they can outfit forces with the extreme weaponry, like world destroying weaponry.
[SPEAKER_01]: And so they kind of caught a talk about it because they're uncontrolled, we're destroying weaponry as in.
[SPEAKER_01]: You push the button and you hope that it blows up your enemy because it's going to do some destruction.
[SPEAKER_01]: Where that goes, nobody knows.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the techno-manage rights just attack and they're sent out and they just start ripping apart this ad mech fleet.
[SPEAKER_00]: And the ad mech respond to something called the arc of oblivion, is a great name.
[SPEAKER_00]: And the arc of oblivion is a missile in space, by the way, that when fired, breaks everything down, Brenna discussed templates before.
[SPEAKER_00]: This is a large template that they did place in space and everything under the template is broken down to its molecular state.
[SPEAKER_00]: Worked against the Necrons pretty well.
[SPEAKER_00]: Also took out a bunch of, as Trish with the ad mech, a bunch of ad mech vessels the exact same time.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it's crazy because because of this, I don't even know because of this, they start just flinging to tan.
[SPEAKER_01]: They see tan.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the neck runs respond by going, here's all the shards of see tan.
[SPEAKER_01]: And if you play Forty Kay, these are not the ones you see on the table top.
[SPEAKER_01]: These are [SPEAKER_01]: big, holy crap.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm gonna, did you just bane a battle cruiser?
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, and one of the ones I liked in this is that one of the sea tans actually could melt the minds of Skittari and actually took out some leisure Titanicas.
[SPEAKER_00]: It had them almost shooting themselves.
[SPEAKER_00]: So the ad mech though, love a one up fight.
[SPEAKER_00]: And so the ad neck and the neck rons are just doing this.
[SPEAKER_00]: And we are right on the path and usually sure destruction that's going to take out the nephal insecter and maybe everything around it.
[SPEAKER_00]: My favorite one of them all was a neck rons shackled a dwarf star and flung it into an ad neck fleet.
[SPEAKER_00]: They basically trayble shade a dwarf star.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, during it by the ad-mected break one of the shackles, so it also did hit a bunch of Necron ships, but doesn't matter.
[SPEAKER_00]: They were fleeing a star at each other.
[SPEAKER_00]: Now luckily, cooler heads prevailed and call sees this and realizes that we're going to lose not just a sector, but maybe a segmentum if this doesn't stop and makes all the admex stop firing their stupid guns and just go back to normal battles.
[SPEAKER_00]: As I said before, we are now entered the part of GW writing that is the fight nankerman because it escalates very quickly and kind of randomly.
[SPEAKER_00]: Now, GW is going to add in some more players here.
[SPEAKER_00]: And it's going to come off as, hey, what the hell just happened?
[SPEAKER_00]: Why did you guys speed up a bunch of days into the cast?
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not speeding up.
[SPEAKER_00]: This is literally how this stuff's written.
[SPEAKER_00]: What GW likes to do is they're not wrong in this.
[SPEAKER_00]: They're writing a battle sector.
[SPEAKER_00]: And the sector will start with a pitched battle between one, two, maybe three players.
[SPEAKER_00]: And those are adding more players in like, nineties royal rumble style until there's everyone's engaged.
[SPEAKER_00]: And they do this not because they're poor writers.
[SPEAKER_00]: They do this because this game is meant to [SPEAKER_00]: be all incompetent of all factions.
[SPEAKER_00]: We can't have twenty-four factions of the game, both three of them are playing in the lore.
[SPEAKER_00]: So they add everybody else.
[SPEAKER_01]: But this also makes sense.
[SPEAKER_01]: Because of the fact that the necrons were stealing down the rift, which means that chaos effectively wasn't allowed to play with us breaking.
[SPEAKER_01]: I love us again.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm part of the imperial.
[SPEAKER_01]: And with us breaking the pylons, it put chaos back into the game.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: And so what happens is to get a bread's point, these pilots come down and now there's war backsets again.
[SPEAKER_00]: And the forces of chaos are currently, hey, we couldn't see this area.
[SPEAKER_00]: Now we can what's going on.
[SPEAKER_00]: There's a massive battle between the Imperium and this highly technological Xenor race.
[SPEAKER_00]: And the force of chaos decide, well, this is interesting.
[SPEAKER_00]: And by force of chaos, I need one.
[SPEAKER_00]: Vash tour.
[SPEAKER_01]: Vash tour.
[SPEAKER_01]: Vastor, who is the arms broker of the war, all things technology, demon engines, anything that's super powerful, tech-wise, he wants to be part of it, wants to control it, so he can give it out to who he wants to.
[SPEAKER_00]: The rumor is that Vastor is the reason for the Dark Age of Technology.
[SPEAKER_00]: He is the one that created the problems within the Medivine.
[SPEAKER_00]: Abadan, by the way, of note here, is still just basking in the glory that is him destroying KDS, so he doesn't really care.
[SPEAKER_00]: Vastor is going somewhere he's like, yeah, go have that it.
[SPEAKER_00]: So Vastor sees this because he wants to become the fifth chaos god, the god of the machine spirit for lack of a better definition.
[SPEAKER_00]: And he needs to do as he needs a lot more power to flow to him, much like the other gods who are powered by the actions of the mortal beings, dashed towards powered by the machine's spirit and AI's legality, performing arcane and cruel actions.
[SPEAKER_01]: But he's like a vampire and evil spirit, any of the anything drawn by cruelty, fear, vengeance.
[SPEAKER_01]: He is all of this AI, all of this super powerful technological weapons being used on each other.
[SPEAKER_01]: That just brings him like a moth to flame.
[SPEAKER_01]: And he just has to be part of it.
[SPEAKER_00]: At the same time though, Magnus sees Vastor go.
[SPEAKER_00]: And Magnus does know that there is a potential timeline.
[SPEAKER_00]: The future of Vastor does become a fifth chaos god.
[SPEAKER_00]: And we already have four chaos gods, which is more than Magnus once in the first place.
[SPEAKER_01]: So he then deploys, which is four more.
[SPEAKER_00]: That's true.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: I would say it's five more.
[SPEAKER_00]: I'd say four is five more than he wants.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: He's not a fan.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: And he's on there.
[SPEAKER_00]: And he's technically on their side.
[SPEAKER_00]: So he deploys with the thousand sun sorcerers, who, by the way, not huge fans of being around background violence.
[SPEAKER_00]: Doesn't go great for them.
[SPEAKER_00]: Cat and tie their rope, but they're doing it because they have to stop that store.
[SPEAKER_00]: And then just because it's funny, Fabius Bile discovers.
[SPEAKER_00]: So there's just a ton of things help anybody else.
[SPEAKER_00]: Let's say just to do terrible things to all the fallen because he just realized there's a ton of gene C just sitting around on planets because the space brings like massive losses and when [SPEAKER_00]: The I'm gonna go there, too.
[SPEAKER_00]: And that, by the way, is where this story at line just ends.
[SPEAKER_00]: Now, unlike what we had the Yandari timeline where it ended and then other stuff happened, this has ended because they actually haven't advanced the storyline beyond this moment.
[SPEAKER_00]: So this is all going on current.
[SPEAKER_00]: So we are now at current forty-cat.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
[SPEAKER_00]: The Necrons are fighting the Imperium, Chaos, and themselves.
[SPEAKER_00]: the tyrannids are not that far away.
[SPEAKER_00]: All of the imperiums involved, all of chaos is coming in.
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know where genes are called are, but they're probably not that far out and towered, stolen, they're a little sector doing their housing.
[SPEAKER_00]: But that's fine, and Votan hadn't.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, Votan weren't, when Paray was written, Votan weren't in the game yet.
[SPEAKER_00]: Right, because Votan were ninth edition of Paray's eighth edition.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so Votan weren't in the game yet.
[SPEAKER_00]: But with that, we're gonna finish this because that's really all we have on it.
[SPEAKER_00]: Next week, though, is our two-year anniversary of the Lorcast.
[SPEAKER_00]: Who knew?
[SPEAKER_00]: And rather than give up now and call it a success, we're gonna continue on until it's not, I guess?
[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see.
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's, we'll be saying that way.
[SPEAKER_00]: That's what you do though.
[SPEAKER_00]: That's what every show is.
[SPEAKER_00]: Every show is, well, we just can keep going.
[SPEAKER_00]: People will stop watching and sometimes you're three seasons.
[SPEAKER_01]: So we live long enough to be the villain.
[SPEAKER_00]: I was just saying sometimes you turn into one of those soap operas where it's really gets like forty years old.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Or it could be Game of Thrones season eight.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, twenty, twenty, lower cast twenty, forty one.
[SPEAKER_00]: Your dead and I'm not doing this anymore either.
[SPEAKER_00]: Actually, I might be dead to forty one, we're adding twenty years.
[SPEAKER_00]: Hopefully, I'm still alive, but murder, there's two new hosts.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: But your son and somebody he met.
[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
[SPEAKER_00]: So next week, you guys will get double dose of episodes from us.
[SPEAKER_00]: First, as you're going to get something on YouTube and Spotify, where Brad and I are going to review all the stuff we messed up.
[SPEAKER_00]: So many things.
[SPEAKER_00]: For getting the hit record buttons, using the word literally so many times that actually bothers us to make.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I can record.
[SPEAKER_01]: It hurts me so much because I have to listen to the cast as we're editing the stuff for you, too.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: Other than how incredibly loud a loss in jizz in your mouth, wing the microphones in front of you.
[SPEAKER_00]: And I bad on one.
[SPEAKER_00]: That's yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: And a lot more.
[SPEAKER_00]: But same time next week, we're going to jump into what I think is the most important part of all Forty K lore.
[SPEAKER_00]: The Ultra Marines.
[SPEAKER_00]: Brad didn't know this.
[SPEAKER_00]: I kept us to see her.
[SPEAKER_00]: So next week, we're going boys and blue.
[SPEAKER_00]: We've been, I was been asking for it.
[SPEAKER_00]: And I was going to do it.
[SPEAKER_00]: I had to wait for the proper time.
[SPEAKER_00]: And I was going to let it be Salamanders because Brad was dreaming that we were getting Vulcan.
[SPEAKER_00]: And we got.
[SPEAKER_00]: We did not.
[SPEAKER_00]: We got them.
[SPEAKER_00]: We did not.
[SPEAKER_00]: We did not get them.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's that sea.
[SPEAKER_00]: We got them.
[SPEAKER_00]: It did pull three.
[SPEAKER_00]: We jumped off the.
[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, it's the flame on.
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, it's the wrong one.
[SPEAKER_01]: I thought you were going to give the will read jumps off the stool.
[SPEAKER_01]: Mary, the red man.
[SPEAKER_00]: No, I love that one, where it's like, he's going to say it, flame on.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's a wrong one.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: So next week, we're going to start our coverage of the ultramarines, which I assume will last two to three months.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be fun.
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't even know how we're going to get there.
[SPEAKER_01]: There's so many ultramarines.
[SPEAKER_01]: You're catching on each one of them.
[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to do.
[SPEAKER_01]: Bobby G.
Tiger is.
[SPEAKER_01]: Titus.
[SPEAKER_01]: Tell you.
[SPEAKER_00]: Eris.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's a carousel.
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it gets calicious.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: It is brutal.
[SPEAKER_00]: It is the ultra marines for those of you who don't play them.
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sorry.
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm kidding.
[SPEAKER_00]: Actually, I sold them in ultra marines.
[SPEAKER_00]: But the ultra marines are maybe the deepest faction in the game.
[SPEAKER_00]: They're the post.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: They weren't originally.
[SPEAKER_00]: It used to be, it was in paraphrase, right?
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, yeah, blood angels were for a long time.
[SPEAKER_01]: Awesome.
[SPEAKER_00]: I'll try to put these labels first and then imperial fifths and then ultra marines.
[SPEAKER_01]: But I would for a while the boys and blues and.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but I would say what you can tell is as much as the blood angels were popular once.
[SPEAKER_00]: The Ultramate's got really, let's say it better.
[SPEAKER_00]: The Ultramate's got really popular around the same time that GW started expanding the named character part of the game.
[SPEAKER_00]: And so the Ultramate's got all of the named characters.
[SPEAKER_00]: And some of them are ridiculous.
[SPEAKER_00]: Like the dude, he's only half a body who you put on top of one of your tanks.
[SPEAKER_00]: Tellyhan.
[SPEAKER_00]: Tellyhan, was it tellyhan now?
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, is that right?
[SPEAKER_00]: He's the one that can go in.
[SPEAKER_00]: I would just, yeah, over that.
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, it was.
[SPEAKER_00]: It wasn't tell.
[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, no, no, no, tellian was a sniper.
[SPEAKER_00]: Tellian was.
