Episode Transcript
[SPEAKER_14]: Welcome back to dark nexus tonight it's act four chapter 155 it's around noon on the 24th of frost and the party is pulling up.
[SPEAKER_14]: on the sceptered house.
[SPEAKER_14]: It's this four story, kinda storybook looking building with crazy angles, odd, jet-out rooms, random, like turrets, tons of windows, all curtain-off from the inside.
[SPEAKER_14]: Looks like just an amazingly fascinating place.
[SPEAKER_14]: and it's right on this corner lot at the base of Quickfall Abbey, the ruins of Quickfall Abbey.
[SPEAKER_14]: We're pulling up here, our team of Gumshu detectives, who, uh, that's episode, realized that they might be in the middle of a chain of serial suicides, all seeming to center around people who are known associates of my acne and mine.
[SPEAKER_14]: pull it up on the septered house.
[SPEAKER_14]: Entering through the front door, we find a pull.
[SPEAKER_08]: Before we enter through the front door, bash cracks open to extracts and drinks them.
[SPEAKER_15]: Mm-hmm.
[SPEAKER_15]: Tears to wine.
[SPEAKER_15]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_15]: And you're new favorite.
[SPEAKER_15]: Blood down.
[SPEAKER_15]: Are you sniffing stiff.
[SPEAKER_05]: Mm-hmm.
[SPEAKER_05]: And the other spells.
[SPEAKER_05]: If Telepath bound is not still going.
[SPEAKER_05]: It would not be at this point.
[SPEAKER_05]: And Dora will, uh, yeah.
[SPEAKER_05]: Yes, one moment please.
[SPEAKER_14]: Oh, she can do some maths.
[SPEAKER_05]: Yep.
[SPEAKER_05]: problem.
[SPEAKER_05]: So 110 minutes, almost 12 hours.
[SPEAKER_14]: Pretty good.
[SPEAKER_14]: So we've got the top of bond going again.
[SPEAKER_14]: Stepan in.
[SPEAKER_14]: Let's go.
[SPEAKER_14]: All right, we find a place that is indeed this combo of [SPEAKER_14]: opium den reading room club bar coffee shop and general like maybe bookstore every single wall is covered floor to ceiling with books and trinkets and mementos of all kinds there are portraits on the ceiling covering every single ceiling of as you're making your way through this place and looking [SPEAKER_14]: famous people and it doesn't seem like, you know, just on a quick eyeball, it doesn't seem like historical figures, but like kind of prominent cultural cultural, current figures, influencers.
[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah, some seem to be some seem to be [SPEAKER_14]: Local, some seem to be maybe around the continent, maybe around the inner sea region, but like notable Like sardies, I was gonna say What if it feels like that?
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, or like your local neighborhood joint where they have pictures of different people like that?
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, totally, that's what I was [SPEAKER_14]: It would seem improbable to you at a quick eyeball that every single one of those people had all set foot in this place, but it does seem to be a collection of current, ongoing people of interest, fancy people, famous people, maybe some of whom have been here.
[SPEAKER_14]: You're of course met right away by the hostess of the sceptered house, Molly Naab.
[SPEAKER_14]: She's a 30-ish year old human woman pale skin, freckled face, long wavy red hair, striking pale pale blue eyes, and this really lovely, kind of Celtic-y looking dress on the cutting edge of fashion.
[SPEAKER_14]: Welcome to the sceptered house, friends!
[SPEAKER_14]: What can I do for you today?
[SPEAKER_05]: We've come to make some inquiry.
[SPEAKER_14]: Oh, you got questions for me.
[SPEAKER_14]: What will you be drinking, hints, hints?
[SPEAKER_14]: Well, I answer your questions.
[SPEAKER_14]: We have some lovely tea today.
[SPEAKER_14]: We have coffee, of course.
[SPEAKER_14]: And we have harder things if that's your inclination.
[SPEAKER_14]: There's time and midday.
[SPEAKER_14]: What can I do for you?
[SPEAKER_14]: I would love a refreshing tea.
[SPEAKER_14]: Absolutely.
[SPEAKER_14]: You, sir?
[SPEAKER_07]: I'll have an ale if I can get it without the tone of judgment about [SPEAKER_14]: She gives you a little wink.
[SPEAKER_14]: I don't always know who I'm talking to before my talk to them, friend.
[SPEAKER_14]: You have as many ails as you want.
[SPEAKER_14]: She gives you a little another little wink.
[SPEAKER_14]: You, sir?
[SPEAKER_14]: She looks at the bash.
[SPEAKER_08]: What kind of whiskey you got?
[SPEAKER_14]: Oh, say no more.
[SPEAKER_14]: I'll tell you right.
[SPEAKER_14]: And you, Fred.
[SPEAKER_10]: Molly, it's that wig.
[SPEAKER_10]: We've met, but it's been a while.
[SPEAKER_14]: I'm so sorry, have you been in here before?
[SPEAKER_10]: I don't come by as often as I should, I would love a tea.
[SPEAKER_10]: Why do I know you?
[SPEAKER_10]: You've probably seen me around, I've popped in and out.
[SPEAKER_10]: who took care of the rodents.
[SPEAKER_14]: Years ago, right?
[SPEAKER_14]: I remember you now, you know what, first he's on me.
[SPEAKER_14]: Thank you again, I don't remember what you did.
[SPEAKER_14]: I see a lot of people and do a lot of things, but I remember that you were very helpful.
[SPEAKER_14]: All right, come here, come here, she takes you through multiple rooms to one of many and endless series of cozy, fascinating spaces.
[SPEAKER_14]: And the place is kind of not packed with people, but there are lots of people just hanging out and enjoying themselves kind of midday, some are eating, some are just chatting, some are reading.
[SPEAKER_14]: It takes you through and every single one of the rooms has portraits on the ceiling, and she lands you in a room that, instead of the predominance, [SPEAKER_14]: of things on the walls being books and it's particular room.
[SPEAKER_14]: It's paintings of famous cities in the inner sea region.
[SPEAKER_14]: So cities from Taldor, cities from Endora and cities from Chile, from Thuvia, from Oceirian, from Kadira.
[SPEAKER_14]: And it feels a little like you're in a, you're like in a little postcard store of wonderful foreign cities from the region.
[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know how to ask this, so it's just occurring to me which is silly.
[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_05]: But I know, my acne and mung, pretty well.
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_05]: We're friends.
[SPEAKER_14]: I mean.
[SPEAKER_05]: You were more than friends.
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_14]: You know him as well as he lets you know him for sure.
[SPEAKER_05]: Sure.
[SPEAKER_14]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_05]: But would I be able to guess what appeal to him about this place?
[SPEAKER_05]: Any particular room that might have appealed to him?
[SPEAKER_05]: What his relationship with Molly might have been like?
[SPEAKER_05]: Like how he would have looked upon the proprietor of a place he likes to go to.
[SPEAKER_05]: anything I can glean.
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I felt like a character of this place.
[SPEAKER_14]: I think in general, so like Tima, Mon was fascinated by books and all that they could teach.
[SPEAKER_14]: So you could see him even if he had nothing else going on, if he had just stumbled across this place in his time living here, it would have immediately become his favorite place in the world.
[SPEAKER_14]: and I don't know if in, you know, seeing the first kind of third of this, you'd eyeball a room particular, but I think you'd go like, oh, this, this makes 100% sense.
[SPEAKER_14]: And squaring what you know about what Debuk has told you about Mun's persona as this philanthropist and beloved figure in town, if he was putting on that vibe, he would probably have been charming as [SPEAKER_14]: fuck in this space.
[SPEAKER_14]: Probably would have made Molly think that he adored her.
[SPEAKER_14]: He would have been very skilled at playing up.
[SPEAKER_14]: You know, he was a player and he was very charismatic and the kind of all the stuff that Loles was unable to do in terms of being a human in society, he was very skilled at.
[SPEAKER_05]: All right, then I think before Molly leaves us at our table or wherever she's depositing us, [SPEAKER_14]: So she's gone to fetch her drinks and she's got your situate in this room comes back brings dabs their tea Pandora their tea ale for the gripper and a very fine whiskey for bash and she just says Dwarven gives you a wink and gives it he sniffs it and takes a sip and is a good out?
[SPEAKER_08]: Landishly that's that's good.
[SPEAKER_08]: That's good.
[SPEAKER_08]: That's good [SPEAKER_14]: If you hadn't just got 15,000 gold bases, you might blanch a little bit how much my cost you, but yes, it is incredibly fine.
[SPEAKER_08]: What's the story with the pictures?
[SPEAKER_14]: So, I have so one of an interest in people and what they do, where they go, who they talk to, how they think, and I think it's fun to have them around here.
[SPEAKER_14]: And I sort of want to cultivate a sense for my clientele at this surrounded by the [SPEAKER_14]: So it's sort of a, it's an elevation thing if you know what I mean.
[SPEAKER_14]: It works for those that it works on, and others just find it enjoyable.
[SPEAKER_05]: Speaking of your clientele, I think we have an acquaintance in common.
[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, do you?
[SPEAKER_05]: I've only recently come to Kazmea, but might be a mum.
[SPEAKER_14]: So what you see is her face goes very still for a minute, as if uncertain [SPEAKER_14]: She's you's looking at all of you looking at her as this is hanging there.
[SPEAKER_14]: Dude, I'm sorry.
[SPEAKER_14]: You know, he's, he has left town, you know that.
[SPEAKER_14]: Did you just arrive here?
[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah, he's, he's not, he's not here anymore.
[SPEAKER_05]: How long go did he leave?
[SPEAKER_05]: Those are, he was a, it's a few months ago.
[SPEAKER_05]: I'm sorry, I did, it wasn't my intention to upset you.
[SPEAKER_05]: I'm so sorry.
[SPEAKER_14]: Oh, ah.
[SPEAKER_14]: Look, I don't want to ruin anyone's day.
[SPEAKER_14]: It, this is some things went on.
[SPEAKER_14]: And I, I, I, yeah, I don't, don't let me ruin your day.
[SPEAKER_14]: I'll leave you to your drinks.
[SPEAKER_08]: You know, I hear that he's like this kind of like, great man of the city, but you know, when I know him, he was kind of a shit.
[SPEAKER_14]: Would you do university there or something like that?
[SPEAKER_05]: It's like a factory school, that's where I knew him.
[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, right.
[SPEAKER_05]: It's not the right shirt interest for a time, but...
Hmm.
[SPEAKER_05]: Here.
[SPEAKER_05]: He went a different way.
[SPEAKER_05]: You might say...
[SPEAKER_14]: He didn't say a lot about his years up there, and the only other friend of his that I met from that time was truly awful man.
[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah, yeah.
[SPEAKER_05]: Hervall, spectacles, very strange, out.
[SPEAKER_14]: Herzzy, I didn't learn his name.
[SPEAKER_14]: He only came in the one time.
[SPEAKER_14]: If I was an incident and, um, I don't know.
[SPEAKER_05]: I've read worth a million with those kinds of incidents.
[SPEAKER_07]: Ooh, that says.
[SPEAKER_05]: Ha ha ha ha.
[SPEAKER_05]: Last two aides.
[SPEAKER_05]: Ha ha ha ha ha.
[SPEAKER_14]: All right, it's trying to cook some information out of her.
[SPEAKER_14]: Like this is me diplomacy check from Pandora.
[SPEAKER_14]: You popping in with something here?
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, yeah, what do you got?
[SPEAKER_08]: I was just gonna say, can I aid on a diplomacy check?
[SPEAKER_05]: Yes, absolutely.
[SPEAKER_05]: Man, do burst of inside on this Earth this over time.
[SPEAKER_14]: I think it's a little over time.
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_14]: So go ahead and give me your aid check there, Johnny for bash.
[SPEAKER_14]: Sounds like Katie.
[SPEAKER_14]: Are there really news it or doesn't need it at all?
[SPEAKER_08]: Okay, rolled a 23, plus two to Pandora's check.
[SPEAKER_08]: 35.
[SPEAKER_08]: Okay, thank you.
[SPEAKER_14]: All right, so something...
We have the right look, yes.
[SPEAKER_08]: Like we're in on it, like we're, like give us the dirt.
[SPEAKER_14]: And you can tell, we already know if it likes to talk.
[SPEAKER_07]: And I'm not standing there sitting there staring at her.
[SPEAKER_07]: I'm just drinking, looking at the paintings, or the drawings, but, but chiming in with a chuckle if anything strikes me is, [SPEAKER_07]: Oh, that sounds amazing.
[SPEAKER_05]: We want to give the impression we already know what she has to say, so why not just tell us.
[SPEAKER_14]: You've been dying to tell somebody.
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_05]: Finally, she and this off your tail.
[SPEAKER_14]: She has been dying to tell somebody.
[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_14]: I think she scoots, dab-wicked out of the way, like on like a, on the little sofa or said to you that dab-wicked sitting on to make room for herself, like you know.
[SPEAKER_14]: He was here, and then his friend came in, and his friend was simply awful.
[SPEAKER_14]: Everyone was scared of him.
[SPEAKER_14]: They sat in a room together.
[SPEAKER_14]: They talked with their heads together, just very, very secretly, kept very annoyingly waving me off, and then they seemed to get into some sort of.
[SPEAKER_14]: I don't know disagreement.
[SPEAKER_14]: Not an altercation.
[SPEAKER_14]: I did not mean to say the word altercation, but they seemed to be in disagreement about something and months seemed very troubled.
[SPEAKER_14]: Like he seemed surprised at the behavior of his friend.
[SPEAKER_14]: Like he didn't recognize this man.
[SPEAKER_14]: Like he'd known him all of his life and suddenly he seemed different.
[SPEAKER_14]: He was behaving strange.
[SPEAKER_14]: I didn't know what this was.
[SPEAKER_14]: And so he seemed to want to get this man out of here pretty quickly.
[SPEAKER_14]: He was, you know, he was staying in town at that time.
[SPEAKER_14]: And of course, he was staying up at the rampant bar up in three gates of hoidi, toyed, and my right little friend.
[SPEAKER_14]: The three gates is very nice, yes.
[SPEAKER_14]: So, man was coming over to me, and you know what he did?
[SPEAKER_14]: What?
[SPEAKER_14]: He paid his tab.
[SPEAKER_14]: Oh, oh.
[SPEAKER_14]: Like, as if, well, if he wasn't coming back.
[SPEAKER_14]: I now know!
[SPEAKER_14]: He was leaving town.
[SPEAKER_14]: I didn't have the time so it stuck out.
[SPEAKER_14]: He doesn't.
[SPEAKER_14]: You don't only have to pay his taxes.
[SPEAKER_14]: I mean, I know he's got a lot of money.
[SPEAKER_14]: Okay, but he paid when he pays.
[SPEAKER_14]: All right, he was doing that.
[SPEAKER_14]: His friend goes over to another one amongst friends.
[SPEAKER_14]: He was also here that night.
[SPEAKER_14]: Goes over to him.
[SPEAKER_14]: Wisp is something in his ear.
[SPEAKER_14]: And then walks out the door.
[SPEAKER_14]: And Ethan was left like...
[SPEAKER_14]: Just shocked, I mean, he couldn't believe what this man said to him, and he was just staring and upset, he got up started pacing, and then he walked out, months all this happened, and then he left after them, and you know now, none of his little club come in anymore, and you know most of them have died.
[SPEAKER_07]: More than just the three?
[SPEAKER_14]: Oh my gosh, they were 13 of them.
[SPEAKER_14]: They called themselves, [SPEAKER_14]: They call themselves get this, the esoteric nights of the involvement, I don't even know what that means, but they took it very, very seriously.
[SPEAKER_14]: It's a little club of them, they met here every month.
[SPEAKER_14]: And now they don't do that anymore, not since they have one meeting, like right after a month left.
[SPEAKER_14]: Right after that, the next night was soon after that.
[SPEAKER_14]: And now none of them came back and you know, [SPEAKER_14]: What Ethan doesn't leave his house anymore?
[SPEAKER_14]: Ethan is still alive.
[SPEAKER_14]: Oh, I hope he is.
[SPEAKER_14]: Oh, poor Mr.
Baylor.
[SPEAKER_05]: He mentioned that most of them are dying.
[SPEAKER_14]: Oh, as far as I know, Ethan's- He just leaves his house anymore.
[SPEAKER_05]: Where is his house?
[SPEAKER_14]: Just down the block.
[SPEAKER_14]: which gives you an address for a close, for a close, 10 minute walk.
[SPEAKER_14]: And then, Demrium, he hanged himself from Ferrasmas' pulpit.
[SPEAKER_14]: That was the name of the storm.
[SPEAKER_14]: It was such a tragedy.
[SPEAKER_14]: And then, mistress Yezrik was dead at the temple.
[SPEAKER_14]: Apparently, they, no, they won't see anything.
[SPEAKER_14]: About if those dropped everyone is very, very weird.
[SPEAKER_14]: And then a few weeks later, the rose veers, they drank poison together.
[SPEAKER_14]: It was so sad those two loved each other so much.
[SPEAKER_14]: And then, [SPEAKER_14]: Kalias Loya came by asked about settling up the tab.
[SPEAKER_14]: Alice was going on these, these signals were private matter, but he let it be known.
[SPEAKER_14]: He was there on the behalf of his estate.
[SPEAKER_14]: And then, you know, I and Evie have seen them around.
[SPEAKER_14]: I live in the district, but they haven't been back in.
[SPEAKER_14]: And bummed around, I think, but didn't something happen with him?
[SPEAKER_14]: Yes, he's gone.
[SPEAKER_14]: Oh no!
[SPEAKER_14]: Suicide as well?
[SPEAKER_14]: That's right.
[SPEAKER_14]: What's going on?
[SPEAKER_14]: What's these people?
[SPEAKER_14]: And then the, the elf fellow's gone.
[SPEAKER_14]: And um...
Elf fellow?
[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah, I never caught his name.
[SPEAKER_14]: What did he look like?
[SPEAKER_14]: Well, sweaty fellow?
[SPEAKER_14]: Oh no.
[SPEAKER_14]: We're not describing that way.
[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, how would you describe?
[SPEAKER_05]: I'm steward at months of state that Elf that dabs dealt with [SPEAKER_14]: Well, let me tell you what this fellow looked like and you'll know that that's not that fellow.
[SPEAKER_02]: But there's only three elements in the entire universe.
[SPEAKER_14]: There's been so few hells I know.
[SPEAKER_14]: Well, this fellow, he's very tall for an elf like six feet tall.
[SPEAKER_14]: It's pale gray skin.
[SPEAKER_14]: His eyes have his, he's large dark.
[SPEAKER_14]: Pupils were purple around purple iris around him, and he's got this crazy hair.
[SPEAKER_14]: It's like purple then red, then orange, shoulder length, fabulous, wild mane.
[SPEAKER_14]: And then the rest, you know, he's sort of dressed in black with pops and pizazz, like purples and oranges.
[SPEAKER_14]: So like David Bowie?
[SPEAKER_14]: I don't know who that is, but yeah.
[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah, he sort of feels like David Bowie.
[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah, so as a group of them was like 13 of them they came in all the time and ever since that night everyone's gone or dead.
[SPEAKER_04]: Mommy, do you think you could give us a list of those names?
[SPEAKER_14]: Well, absolutely.
[SPEAKER_14]: So Kaylee of Alaran.
[SPEAKER_14]: He's dead as the one that came from the estate.
[SPEAKER_14]: He was a wizard.
[SPEAKER_14]: Ethan Bailer, who's down the block, [SPEAKER_14]: Eyebloss Uh, garing gun, uh, garing garrings out of town.
[SPEAKER_14]: He's been over in a Syrian.
[SPEAKER_07]: Ethan's the one we think might still be alive.
[SPEAKER_14]: I hope he's still alive.
[SPEAKER_05]: It doesn't mean the house though.
[SPEAKER_05]: It's not great, it's not true.
[SPEAKER_14]: It's elf fellow.
[SPEAKER_14]: Galandel.
[SPEAKER_14]: That's the elf.
[SPEAKER_14]: Galandel.
[SPEAKER_14]: I think that's the last name.
[SPEAKER_14]: No, Galandel?
[SPEAKER_14]: Gallen Mill, something, something like that.
[SPEAKER_14]: Her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her, her [SPEAKER_14]: You know, I'm not purely mercenarily trying to make a lot of money here.
[SPEAKER_14]: The loss of their business is huge though, and also I've known them for years this.
[SPEAKER_14]: it's a loss.
[SPEAKER_14]: And I'm sure you know, little friend, I'm sure you know how important all these people were to the whole city.
[SPEAKER_14]: And yeah, Paul, I think as Deb's is hearing these names, even the ones they don't specifically latch onto as having run across these are public figures.
[SPEAKER_14]: You.
[SPEAKER_14]: All of them of a, [SPEAKER_14]: either mechanical, alchemical, engineering, wizarding, all of a bent, like, brainy types.
[SPEAKER_14]: Some of them with a bunch of money, some of them just of high important positions, but it seems like this little social club was of people who had a big interest in knowledge and figuring out how things worked and getting to the heart of problems and solving issues, that kind of thing.
[SPEAKER_05]: this friend of months, the unpleasant one.
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, you only saw him speak with eaten, eaten, eaten, eaten, bailer?
[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah, and he was very troubled and he left, and then the meeting of the group, all the ones that were in town, was, yeah, a couple days later, I think, they all met, [SPEAKER_05]: And what would they like when they came for that meeting?
[SPEAKER_05]: Were they in good spirits?
[SPEAKER_05]: Or Ethan wasn't?
[SPEAKER_05]: But the others?
[SPEAKER_14]: They'll seem normal.
[SPEAKER_05]: And man and his friend were not at that meeting.
[SPEAKER_14]: No, no.
[SPEAKER_14]: Who wasn't there?
[SPEAKER_14]: They were all there except Well, Gary and Old Gary were inside a town, you know that.
[SPEAKER_14]: The elf wasn't there.
[SPEAKER_14]: Mon wasn't there.
[SPEAKER_14]: And, um, Umbra, Umbra was in the eye.
[SPEAKER_07]: How did they all seem at the end of a meeting?
[SPEAKER_14]: Not great.
[SPEAKER_14]: Hmm, now that you mentioned it.
[SPEAKER_14]: I don't think it really pinged for me at the time, but yeah, there was sort of a paw hanging over the whole group as they left it.
[SPEAKER_07]: It all sort of seemed like that Ethan at the beginning of a meeting.
[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[SPEAKER_14]: And you know, it's tough with Ethan.
[SPEAKER_14]: He's a, he's a, no, he's a bleach-links or sometimes they get a little bit.
[SPEAKER_14]: I'm not always easy to figure out, you know what I was going on, but yeah, they all sort of had that bleechling feel about him, it's kind of dead, sad, apparently suicidal, which I didn't know at the time, would have done something, who mustn't blame myself, you couldn't have known.
[SPEAKER_14]: Oh, I don't blame myself, don't worry, but I wonder sometimes, but I don't let myself think about.
[SPEAKER_14]: That's what it's- They couldn't do this.
[SPEAKER_14]: No, it's fine.
[SPEAKER_14]: It's fine.
[SPEAKER_14]: I'm not their mothers.
[SPEAKER_14]: They were their mothers.
[SPEAKER_14]: That doesn't make any sense.
[SPEAKER_03]: And you know, I'm- I'll be right back.
[SPEAKER_03]: Is she having a breakdown?
[SPEAKER_03]: Is this really weird?
[SPEAKER_03]: Is there a son's bundle check to be made in one's happening to her right now?
[SPEAKER_03]: You're getting the- I mean- Give me a check.
[SPEAKER_03]: Give me a check.
[SPEAKER_14]: 25.
[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah, so that wasn't me riffing.
[SPEAKER_14]: I think you are picking up.
[SPEAKER_14]: Maybe she hasn't really let herself feel this or Yeah, or think too too much about it because it's, you know, like she said if oh, man Just do you're the perfect person to do it?
[SPEAKER_14]: She she's used yourself for a quick second and runs just around the corner grabs the bottle of whiskey Not that's not the same super expensive whiskey pours herself a little shot and Slips [SPEAKER_14]: bash a little bit of that, she takes a shot.
[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah, yeah, it's a troubling times, troubling times.
[SPEAKER_14]: So many people are dying.
[SPEAKER_05]: And so many people you know, people you count on to see.
[SPEAKER_14]: Religiously once a month.
[SPEAKER_14]: I would see a number of once a month, and that I'll follow.
[SPEAKER_14]: But the rest mostly, we're here all the time, yeah.
[SPEAKER_14]: Not always together, but you know, this is there.
[SPEAKER_14]: So was that hang?
[SPEAKER_14]: This was that club?
[SPEAKER_14]: You know?
[SPEAKER_14]: It was important to them.
[SPEAKER_05]: Therefore, you were important to them.
[SPEAKER_14]: That's very nice to hear.
[SPEAKER_14]: Thank you.
[SPEAKER_14]: Do you want some whiskey?
[UNKNOWN]: No.
[SPEAKER_07]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_07]: I like to...
[SPEAKER_05]: I like to keep a clear mind.
[SPEAKER_05]: It's a foolish idea.
[SPEAKER_07]: I agree.
[SPEAKER_07]: I agree wholeheartedly.
[SPEAKER_07]: That's not got me anywhere.
[SPEAKER_07]: I swear to little boy.
[SPEAKER_05]: Thank you so much for speaking, Minnes.
[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, you've been very helpful.
[SPEAKER_08]: That, uh, that Umbra, that Archie Umbra.
[SPEAKER_08]: See, still with us?
[SPEAKER_14]: I guess as far as I know, he keeps the shop down in the shipyard district.
[SPEAKER_14]: Um, sells weird shit.
[SPEAKER_14]: I don't know.
[SPEAKER_14]: I haven't heard about him killing himself.
[SPEAKER_14]: And she can give you an address of a shop.
[SPEAKER_14]: She would know where it is and Dab's would, would understand the instructions.
[SPEAKER_05]: Dority thinks to the rest of the party, I think we should speak to the people who weren't there.
[SPEAKER_05]: I'm, I would bet.
[SPEAKER_07]: The people who weren't there.
[SPEAKER_05]: The people who weren't at the meeting that night, as many as we come, so I think might just be Umbra and the elf whose name she is unsure of.
[SPEAKER_08]: And Ethan.
[SPEAKER_05]: Ethan, he was there.
[SPEAKER_05]: I want to speak to the people who were not infected that night.
[SPEAKER_05]: That's what they know.
[SPEAKER_05]: I think he's probably dead in his house, but yes, we should follow up on it.
[SPEAKER_14]: So Garen Gunderling is out of town, off out of the continent.
[SPEAKER_14]: He's over in a serious far as you know.
[SPEAKER_05]: That's good to see you, and I have friends there.
[SPEAKER_05]: So Umbre and Gallandell.
[SPEAKER_08]: Gallandell?
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_08]: Gallandell?
[SPEAKER_05]: Gallandell?
[SPEAKER_07]: Gallandell?
[SPEAKER_03]: Gallandell?
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, Gorgamel?
[SPEAKER_14]: Let me say this.
[SPEAKER_14]: During the course of you probably would have gotten [SPEAKER_14]: a slight physical description of the elf that left town with Stazzy and Stazzy and Stazzy and Stazzy and Stazzy and Stazzy and Stazzy and Stazzy and Stazzy and Stazzy and Stazzy and Stazzy and Stazzy and Stazzy and Stazzy and Stazzy and Stazzy and Stazzy and Stazzy and Stazzy and Stazzy and Stazzy and Stazzy and Stazzy and Stazzy and Stazzy and Stazzy and Stazzy and Stazzy and Stazzy and Stazzy and Stazzy and Stazzy and Stazzy and Stazzy and Stazzy and Stazzy and Stazzy and Stazzy and Stazzy and Stazzy and Stazzy and Stazzy and Stazzy and Stazzy and Stazzy and Stazzy and Stazzy and Stazzy and Stazzy and Stazzy and Stazzy and Stazzy and [SPEAKER_05]: Recently, within the last couple of months, very dry individual and she proceeds to describe Stasi.
[SPEAKER_05]: No, not that I know of.
[SPEAKER_14]: No.
[SPEAKER_05]: Never came in.
[SPEAKER_14]: No.
[SPEAKER_05]: What about describes Stanton Hope Nixon?
[SPEAKER_14]: No, they sound like fun, but I don't know them.
[SPEAKER_14]: They sound like buddies.
[SPEAKER_06]: But in a sense, they are.
[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know.
[SPEAKER_05]: I would say fun.
[SPEAKER_05]: But.
[SPEAKER_05]: But these.
[SPEAKER_15]: Sure.
[SPEAKER_15]: Morose buddies.
[SPEAKER_07]: Well, so who do we need to follow up with?
[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, do we?
[SPEAKER_07]: So we think that Ethan is.
[SPEAKER_05]: Well, I don't.
[SPEAKER_07]: First trip because he's probably dead.
[SPEAKER_07]: I hope not.
[SPEAKER_05]: or wildly insane.
[SPEAKER_07]: Either way, who's the other one?
[SPEAKER_03]: Archie Umbra.
[SPEAKER_07]: Umbra, and we know where Archie is.
[SPEAKER_03]: You know what shot is, yeah, for sure.
[SPEAKER_03]: Like our best shot.
[SPEAKER_07]: Was that the shipping district's one you just, yeah?
[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah, exactly.
[SPEAKER_14]: He sells weird shit.
[SPEAKER_14]: And we have a lot of money, so you have a lot of money to buy a weird shit.
[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah, all right.
[SPEAKER_14]: So you know that Billor's house is nearby, and you know where to go to find Archie's shop.
[SPEAKER_05]: Well, I suppose we should go to Baylor's house.
[SPEAKER_08]: Hey, thanks for the drink.
[SPEAKER_14]: Absolutely.
[SPEAKER_14]: I'll deduct it from your sheet later when I figure out exactly how much that cost you.
[SPEAKER_14]: I appreciate your commerce.
[SPEAKER_08]: Is there any chance to start a tab?
[SPEAKER_14]: My friend.
[SPEAKER_14]: When you have entered my establishment for the fifth time, and I know you're gonna be a regular, you can open whatever you like.
[SPEAKER_14]: For right now, I would like payment upon delivery.
[SPEAKER_14]: Thank you.
[SPEAKER_08]: Absolutely, and I'll keep you to that.
[SPEAKER_14]: Hey, yo.
[SPEAKER_05]: Gosh, just getting ready to start 20 years of a life here and gasping.
[SPEAKER_14]: Oh, maybe it bears some weird resemblance to some watering hole.
[SPEAKER_14]: Oh, I mean, because it's just that weird, right?
[SPEAKER_08]: It's very weird.
[SPEAKER_08]: It's very like, I mean, again, he's existing in these two worlds of all these memories colliding with now.
[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_08]: And he spent a lot of time in dives and watering holes in places like that.
[SPEAKER_14]: Yes, indeed.
[SPEAKER_10]: Does dad know Ethan Baylor or does dad just...
Dabs met Ethan Baylor before and maybe perhaps boldly approached them a little too much to discuss how gnome shipbuild is balanced blackwood use with forest health.
[SPEAKER_14]: Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha [SPEAKER_08]: So this feels like MUN and LULS had like a falling out over like it's time.
[SPEAKER_08]: It's time to enact the Grand Plan.
[SPEAKER_08]: And MUN was like, no, I'm still got pieces and play of doing stuff and LULS.
[SPEAKER_08]: Well, I'm going to start knocking Domino's down now.
[SPEAKER_05]: Andlos had lost every bit of him that...
[SPEAKER_05]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_05]: Stopped him from doing anything.
[SPEAKER_05]: From being a deck.
[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_14]: Completely unread.
[SPEAKER_14]: That's what comes from the fun.
[SPEAKER_14]: Uncount.
[SPEAKER_14]: Devoit of compassion, hope, love, anything.
[SPEAKER_08]: Or even fear.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_08]: Because he was no longer...
[SPEAKER_08]: He's like, I'm not second banana anymore.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_05]: I will poison your will.
[SPEAKER_05]: What a dick.
[SPEAKER_08]: Ash is also thinking that we were able to slow not necessarily cure this infestation of jaman door, but we might be able to help Ethan if he's still alive.
[SPEAKER_05]: Right.
[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_14]: No cure, but you have...
[SPEAKER_07]: means at hand to help somebody with the slowing process for sure absolutely what if we're coming from the the subject house what would we pass by first [SPEAKER_03]: Well, Baylor's house, because it's right in the neighborhood.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I can put it on the map, actually.
[SPEAKER_14]: Fine, for all.
[SPEAKER_14]: All right, so you do, indeed, find his house, which is a, you know what?
[SPEAKER_14]: I said, I mentioned this district is has a wide spread of, [SPEAKER_14]: Class and social strata going on.
[SPEAKER_14]: He's got one of the largest houses that you see.
[SPEAKER_14]: It's kind of a it's a mixed use neighborhood.
[SPEAKER_14]: So his old mansion is right next to a whole bunch of Relatively speaking newer but probably still a couple hundred years old apartment buildings businesses and stuff is like his home was probably one of the first You know homes as this city was coming up [SPEAKER_14]: they tore down a home just like it to build the apartment buildings or some one of his ancestors may have had to sell off half of a lot because they were in yeah in a down turn for a while yeah one of those two is definitely true [SPEAKER_14]: So you get there and his home is completely closed up to the extent that the shutters and all of the windows have been closed on the outside and you can't really tell, let's call it a line one in the afternoon now.
[SPEAKER_14]: can't tell whether or not there's any lights on the inside, but the the yard between the gate and the front door seems completely uncamped, uncared for.
[SPEAKER_14]: If we were in a different climate, there'd be tumbleweeds blowing through it.
[SPEAKER_14]: But I think in this case, it's an excess of weeds and you know, we're so close to a swamp.
[SPEAKER_14]: So it's probably wildly overgrown then.
[SPEAKER_14]: So we're just like, [SPEAKER_14]: Crawling leaves and trees and weeds coming up in this space kind of reclaiming this little chunk of the city that has been neglected for a little bit of time It seems like New Orleans vibe to the city.
[SPEAKER_14]: Oh, sure New Orleans meets What's what's piggybacker said in is it?
[SPEAKER_14]: Oh, um Manchester?
[SPEAKER_10]: No, no, very Birmingham.
[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah [SPEAKER_14]: I love the New Orleans Comp for the Abbey Green District.
[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah, absolutely.
[SPEAKER_04]: Show nook.
[SPEAKER_10]: Oh, yes.
[SPEAKER_05]: Uh, here's a question.
[SPEAKER_05]: Yep, have we met?
[SPEAKER_05]: Since we've been infected.
[SPEAKER_05]: Have we met, anyone?
[SPEAKER_05]: who was infected that we didn't know was.
[SPEAKER_05]: Like, when you are infected by a jamindor, do you recognize people on the street who are also infected by a jamindor?
[SPEAKER_05]: Is there any sort of communal hive mind feeling thing that happens?
[SPEAKER_05]: Like, I don't think we have.
[SPEAKER_14]: I love that question.
[SPEAKER_14]: There would have been in your other lives.
[SPEAKER_14]: So let's get that out.
[SPEAKER_05]: Access that.
[SPEAKER_14]: So I think especially around the period of time, where you were all seated, Roni slipped away, seated some people in town.
[SPEAKER_14]: They're had to be some clean up, you know, Roni and Riptus get the time.
[SPEAKER_14]: We're very new to their infestation, but Teamot was not.
[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_14]: and would have been around some of the people that maybe had be killed, one or two who were brought into the house for a time, maybe became servants for a while before they were killed in some awful way.
[SPEAKER_14]: And I don't think it feels like a hive mind, and I don't think it's an immediate recognition, but I think proximity does bring about kind of a certain tingle of [SPEAKER_14]: We share something.
[SPEAKER_14]: It's like a psychic, a psychic, stirring, so not, it's not kind of like the smell of that instantaneous.
[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah, no, not for my distance.
[SPEAKER_05]: Rearounds of concentration, like, oh, I remember.
[SPEAKER_05]: Detects, I'm enduring.
[SPEAKER_14]: No, but I think...
[SPEAKER_14]: You know, if you sort of keep your eye attuned to, as you're talking to people, am I feeling that when I'm close to them?
[SPEAKER_14]: I feel like a safe question to answer.
[SPEAKER_14]: I think you would know you would feel something.
[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah, you can't read their thoughts, so you don't detect them on site.
[SPEAKER_08]: But you could kind of sense motive and be like, are you, I feel the tingle that you've had the same experience.
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I'm more wondering if this person will recognize us, those carriers.
[SPEAKER_08]: Well, yeah, that's a whole question with my bloodhound stuff.
[SPEAKER_08]: Can I smell anything coming or emanating from this closed-off house?
[SPEAKER_14]: Oh, the spell still go.
[SPEAKER_14]: I can't hold on.
[SPEAKER_14]: It's at last hours.
[SPEAKER_14]: Oh, for sure, Johnny.
[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah, there's a it is not It's not that level, but one person living in this place or closed in for a time.
[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah, yeah, you're picking it up You're picking it up with your little bloodhound nose [SPEAKER_14]: No immediate response to the knock, but give me perception checks.
[SPEAKER_14]: They're real for initiative.
[SPEAKER_14]: I'm kidding.
[SPEAKER_14]: But real for initiative.
[SPEAKER_14]: You're gonna say that.
[SPEAKER_15]: I knew you were gonna say that.
[SPEAKER_15]: They're gonna say thanks.
[SPEAKER_15]: 36, okay.
[SPEAKER_07]: 29.
[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_14]: 30.
[SPEAKER_14]: Well, forget that line level, aren't we?
[SPEAKER_14]: Sort of mundane perception checks are effectively useless to ask for at this point.
[SPEAKER_14]: Would you get poly 55?
[SPEAKER_14]: No, a 25.
[SPEAKER_14]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_14]: I think you all do hear the sound of little feet scamper up to the door in response to the knock and then scamper away.
[SPEAKER_14]: But there is no, there is no response that your otherwise over.
[SPEAKER_05]: Mr.
[SPEAKER_05]: Banner?
[SPEAKER_00]: Come away!
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not home!
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sorry!
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm home!
[SPEAKER_00]: You're not seeing visitors!
[SPEAKER_00]: You are not well, are you?
[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you!
[SPEAKER_00]: I am...
Grand!
[SPEAKER_05]: Just...
Grant!
[SPEAKER_05]: It's all right, Mr.
Bella, we understand.
[SPEAKER_05]: I don't need any!
[SPEAKER_05]: Thank you!
[SPEAKER_05]: Mr.
Bella, we understand your dreams.
[SPEAKER_05]: We dream your dreams.
[SPEAKER_05]: What do you know about my dreams?
[SPEAKER_05]: I know all there is to know about your dreams.
[SPEAKER_05]: Will you speak with us, please?
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't want to thank you.
[SPEAKER_05]: You can't.
[SPEAKER_02]: I've heard so many!
[SPEAKER_05]: I know.
[SPEAKER_02]: I've heard so many people.
[SPEAKER_05]: I know.
[SPEAKER_02]: I can't.
[SPEAKER_02]: I can't.
[SPEAKER_05]: Please.
[SPEAKER_02]: I can't.
[SPEAKER_05]: Please speak with me.
[SPEAKER_05]: I understand.
[SPEAKER_14]: Can we check?
[SPEAKER_14]: Watcher.
[SPEAKER_14]: Diplopathy.
[SPEAKER_14]: 25.
[SPEAKER_14]: kind of a baited pause, then you hear the sound of a slow approach to the door, and then an unclicking of an insane amount of locks from the inside.
[SPEAKER_14]: Then you see this, oh, the saddest little gnome you've ever seen in your life.
[SPEAKER_05]: It's like this advance the bleaching.
[SPEAKER_14]: Look at this picture.
[SPEAKER_14]: Oh, good.
[SPEAKER_14]: He is completely white.
[SPEAKER_14]: Oh.
[SPEAKER_14]: He's got wild fly away here.
[SPEAKER_14]: It is just bone white.
[SPEAKER_14]: Long runaway eyebrows, bone white.
[SPEAKER_14]: Long sideburns, bone white.
[SPEAKER_14]: His skin is white.
[SPEAKER_14]: His eyes are white.
[SPEAKER_14]: And he's dressed in this kind of white, bedrobe, he would take you, if you saw him out of context, you might think he was a fucking ghost.
[SPEAKER_14]: And he just, in he looks ravaged and terrible, and he's an elderly fellow.
[SPEAKER_14]: He's an older man, and he just seems weak and torn down.
[SPEAKER_14]: He opens the door.
[SPEAKER_14]: There's just tear streaming down his face.
[SPEAKER_12]: Oh, I...
[SPEAKER_12]: I know you I know you're pointing at that work.
[SPEAKER_14]: Yes, even yes, yes, it's that week you You too No May we come in yes, get off the street get off the street and he hustles inside all and the the Reek of the place door turns and starts like 15 different locks [SPEAKER_14]: no sunlight in this place.
[SPEAKER_14]: He's got everything all sealed up.
[SPEAKER_14]: There's just remnants of food from just weeks ago lying around the place.
[SPEAKER_14]: And his house is filled with books and pieces of art and all sorts of collectible things that seems like it's just like he may have been wandering around bumping into things smashing family heirlooms by accident.
[SPEAKER_14]: The place is just a disaster.
[SPEAKER_11]: What?
[SPEAKER_11]: How?
[SPEAKER_11]: Why?
[SPEAKER_11]: What did you find me?
[SPEAKER_11]: What?
[SPEAKER_12]: What do you know?
[SPEAKER_12]: What's happening to me?
[SPEAKER_12]: Who is Shaman Dor?
[SPEAKER_04]: You know.
[SPEAKER_04]: Who it is?
[SPEAKER_04]: No.
[SPEAKER_04]: No, what it is.
[SPEAKER_04]: And I'm so sorry.
[SPEAKER_11]: Oh, I stopped, I can't stop, I can't hide.
[SPEAKER_02]: They all, they all, they all, I don't know, I'm the only coward of the group, I can't go through with it.
[SPEAKER_11]: I can't kill myself, but I know I have to.
[SPEAKER_11]: Please, time in the best way.
[SPEAKER_11]: You're a fabric.
[SPEAKER_11]: Grabbing you, tell me the best way Do I cut my throat?
[SPEAKER_11]: Do I?
[SPEAKER_11]: Do I pull my eyes out before or after I do it?
[SPEAKER_11]: Do I drink frozen poison like the rose veas?
[SPEAKER_11]: I think I have some poison.
[SPEAKER_14]: It's what's wandering back towards the kitchen.
[SPEAKER_08]: Hey, hey.
[SPEAKER_11]: Yes, babe.
[SPEAKER_08]: Hey, come here, come here.
[SPEAKER_08]: Sit down.
[SPEAKER_08]: Sit down.
[SPEAKER_08]: I'm a doctor.
[SPEAKER_08]: I can't promise you that I can stop it.
[SPEAKER_08]: But we can slow it down.
[SPEAKER_14]: You're reaches for your face with his hands.
[SPEAKER_14]: I let him.
[SPEAKER_11]: Then why didn't you make it better for yourself?
[SPEAKER_11]: Why didn't you make it better for yourself?
[SPEAKER_08]: Working on that.
[SPEAKER_00]: Why are you here?
[SPEAKER_00]: What do you want to do?
[SPEAKER_08]: Do you like what's happening to you?
[SPEAKER_08]: Do you want to happen to anybody else?
[SPEAKER_02]: No, of course not.
[SPEAKER_08]: We're trying to stop that.
[SPEAKER_08]: Is that an experience worth living for?
[SPEAKER_16]: You can stop it.
[SPEAKER_08]: And slow it down.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's not the answer of looking for.
[SPEAKER_05]: We are going to try to stop it all together.
[SPEAKER_05]: Any assistance you can give us even if it's just relieving yourself of the burden of what happened.
[SPEAKER_12]: we can do.
[SPEAKER_12]: We're all gathered together.
[SPEAKER_12]: If we like that so far from the inside we will burn all of our skulls together and then it will be gone and we will all be on to whatever follows after this happens to us.
[SPEAKER_04]: Mr.
Bader, we must fight.
[SPEAKER_05]: We must resist as best we can.
[SPEAKER_05]: If we are to end this for all, what do you want with me?
[SPEAKER_05]: I want you to tell me what happened.
[SPEAKER_02]: It was Mom's friend, did you know Mom?
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_02]: You know his friend?
[SPEAKER_02]: I did nothing.
[SPEAKER_02]: I was just sitting there, we walked over to me, and he came between me and he said those words in my ear, and walked away with smile on his face, and my whole life was destroyed.
[SPEAKER_16]: That's what happened.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_02]: And then I gathered my friends together because I thought they could help me, and I lost them, which I meant to all was.
[SPEAKER_02]: And then I infected all of them.
[SPEAKER_02]: And now, we're all dead.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's what happened.
[SPEAKER_04]: I was so sorry.
[SPEAKER_16]: It's a bit wrong with Man from Man's, but I don't think was till he had this, did he have this the whole time?
[SPEAKER_04]: Very likely he did.
[SPEAKER_16]: I don't gave it to him, his friend, his anomalous friend, is that it?
[SPEAKER_05]: He was seated with this thing long before he ever met you or any of us.
[SPEAKER_14]: This man had stuck in house here.
[SPEAKER_14]: He's the anomalous friend, he's the one.
[SPEAKER_14]: We've been advising Mum on his projects from Smots.
[SPEAKER_05]: What friend do you refer to?
[SPEAKER_05]: I don't believe that that man is anyone who Mum would allow to advise him.
[SPEAKER_16]: Project for him.
[SPEAKER_16]: I don't know.
[SPEAKER_16]: Some sort of alcoholic project, and he'd say, he'd hit some sort of bar.
[SPEAKER_16]: Roblox, and that's what we all helped each other with, you know, with, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the, with the [SPEAKER_16]: I don't know why you'd be calling them that.
[SPEAKER_16]: But when I know this man, I thought well, that's an enormous man, for certain, but, but he is, but not the man that one was referring to, I believe.
[SPEAKER_16]: He keeps this friend in his house.
[SPEAKER_16]: He did at least, he was advising him that man from the swamps, why didn't I recognize how absurd that was?
[SPEAKER_16]: What was wrong with me?
[SPEAKER_05]: Nothing is wrong with you.
[SPEAKER_05]: You had a friend, you trusted him.
[SPEAKER_05]: Your heart was open.
[SPEAKER_05]: Your judgement sound.
[SPEAKER_05]: Mmm.
[SPEAKER_05]: The world was not the way.
[SPEAKER_05]: I just wanted you to believe it.
[SPEAKER_13]: It was the problem right there.
[SPEAKER_13]: I opened my heart.
[SPEAKER_13]: I thought I would be in my experience.
[SPEAKER_13]: But it made me blind.
[SPEAKER_13]: It was so much for me.
[SPEAKER_13]: In my arrogance, my foolishness should never have opened my mind.
[SPEAKER_13]: It was not an experience I should have had.
[SPEAKER_13]: It was not something I should have done, and look how that's in that way.
[SPEAKER_03]: Is he like bleaching out right now?
[SPEAKER_03]: Like is he actually?
[SPEAKER_08]: Where's he giving into?
[SPEAKER_14]: He's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he's he [SPEAKER_14]: the selling starling that feeling of it's just too much I can't contain it and you all were able to but he's he's having an experience.
[SPEAKER_08]: Dabs, did you buy any chance?
[SPEAKER_08]: Preparing any restorations?
[SPEAKER_08]: I do.
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_09]: Yep.
[SPEAKER_09]: So I'll cast a lesser restoration on.
[SPEAKER_14]: So first we have to start before you can do [SPEAKER_14]: cast your level check with a remove disease spell which you might not have today or do you have today?
[SPEAKER_10]: No, I do not.
[SPEAKER_14]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_14]: That is the first step to even be able to have restoration work on somebody.
[SPEAKER_08]: And I can't do anything in terms of treating the disease through no regular means.
[SPEAKER_14]: The thing that you can do very ably is help someone when they're in the lead up to the monthly check but like once [SPEAKER_14]: only supernatural means can help and only if you beat these colossal DCs with these Castro level checks.
[SPEAKER_14]: You're fighting a god.
[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_07]: Do we know what the, what's the group called the esoteric nights of evolved continent?
[SPEAKER_07]: Do we know what they were?
[SPEAKER_07]: so clearly they weren't all about jaman door they were they were in a lecture will club who solved problems for each other and that's that's it that they they weren't yeah they weren't a has to tell one they were just they were a bunch of nerds [SPEAKER_05]: who would run into big math problems.
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, it seems that way.
[SPEAKER_14]: It's like, it's an avi that would probably sound maybe sinister or weird or ominous, but they were just a bunch of pals who liked problems and mysteries.
[SPEAKER_14]: If I could do, and one of them was not a great guy.
[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah, yeah, I like to do skatefronts.
[SPEAKER_14]: they were like a quiz pub quiz team yeah yeah of like super brainiacs yeah probably a lot of whom didn't have super high charisma score as maybe to balance out their brainy brainy brains in every single case although some of them were socialites and dabble with think of like the rose veers as getabouts about town so not not the case in every one violent way of killing themselves [SPEAKER_08]: Fash has a, as a crazy thought in his head that he shares with Dora with Pandora.
[SPEAKER_08]: Did you bring the staircase?
[SPEAKER_05]: Oh my god.
[SPEAKER_05]: Whoa.
[SPEAKER_05]: Did I bring the staircase?
[SPEAKER_05]: The staircase is probably in men and vultures.
[SPEAKER_14]: In the foot locker, in the bag of holding that grip carries.
[SPEAKER_04]: What is your idea?
[SPEAKER_08]: We want to talk to him.
[SPEAKER_08]: We want to have a conversation with him.
[SPEAKER_08]: Take him someplace where he's free of this.
[SPEAKER_05]: Remind me with the man poet told us about the dream once.
[SPEAKER_14]: Never returned to the Oasis again.
[SPEAKER_14]: He did not forbid you from going to the dream once.
[SPEAKER_05]: I don't think we have any more to learn from him, to be honest, and I'm not anxious to return to the dreamlands without anyone watching over us.
[SPEAKER_08]: You don't think we'll be worth it to try and give him some hope?
[SPEAKER_05]: Pandora does not have to say anything, but you know that she is.
[SPEAKER_05]: Does not believe that he has hope, unless they can figure out the bigger problem.
[SPEAKER_05]: I think the best we can do for him is come back tomorrow and try to remove his disease enough to be able to offer him some comfort.
[SPEAKER_05]: But even if he survives the physical challenges of this infection, he still must struggle with the moral one that he infected all of his friends most of whom are now dead.
[SPEAKER_07]: I hope so, readily, it is.
[SPEAKER_08]: Fash turns to, uh, to Baylor to Ethan.
[SPEAKER_08]: You said that you too scared to take your own life?
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: I gotta do it, I gotta do it.
[SPEAKER_08]: Is that what you want?
[SPEAKER_02]: I want to be free.
[SPEAKER_02]: I want to be free.
[SPEAKER_08]: Flash pulls out the alchemical torch, vanity.
[SPEAKER_08]: It says, I can free if you want.
[SPEAKER_05]: Pandora turns away.
[SPEAKER_10]: We can relieve his pressure.
[SPEAKER_10]: We can do things to try and [SPEAKER_10]: And, and that help.
[SPEAKER_05]: It must be his choice.
[SPEAKER_05]: Kill me.
[UNKNOWN]: Kill me.
[UNKNOWN]: Please, please, kill me.
[UNKNOWN]: Please.
[SPEAKER_08]: Incense.
[SPEAKER_08]: Is there anything else you want to share with us that could help us stop this?
[SPEAKER_13]: Do you know...
Jordan, all the names.
[SPEAKER_13]: All the stuff we're there.
[SPEAKER_08]: You know the nights.
[SPEAKER_08]: We know the nights.
[SPEAKER_16]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_16]: They're awful.
[SPEAKER_16]: They're awful, yes.
[SPEAKER_16]: Anyone else?
[SPEAKER_16]: They're not even close, Molly.
[SPEAKER_16]: Thereth, Thereth, I'll go on a deal.
[SPEAKER_07]: She was a last name.
[SPEAKER_16]: Ah, the fire in.
[SPEAKER_16]: He wasn't here.
[SPEAKER_16]: Don't kill him.
[SPEAKER_16]: But kill the rest.
[SPEAKER_16]: Please kill the rest.
[SPEAKER_16]: How do you feel, still, please?
[SPEAKER_05]: Ah, gee, I'm ready.
[SPEAKER_05]: He was infected as well.
[SPEAKER_16]: Oh, she wasn't there.
[SPEAKER_16]: Wasn't there?
[SPEAKER_16]: Oh, she wasn't there.
[SPEAKER_16]: It's okay.
[SPEAKER_16]: I have not seen him.
[SPEAKER_16]: That's okay.
[SPEAKER_16]: I don't know.
[SPEAKER_16]: Maybe he escaped.
[SPEAKER_05]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_05]: Maybe he escaped.
[UNKNOWN]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_05]: Are you sure this is what you want?
[SPEAKER_16]: I can't live with this.
[SPEAKER_16]: I can't live like this.
[SPEAKER_16]: I can't live living what I've done.
[SPEAKER_08]: It wasn't your fault.
[SPEAKER_08]: You didn't know.
[SPEAKER_05]: Bander thinks too bad.
[SPEAKER_05]: I could try to hypnotize him to a moment of peace.
[SPEAKER_08]: Would you like my friend to try to bring you back to a memory that was a happy time for you?
[SPEAKER_05]: Torra begins talking to him asking questions about different times of his life.
[SPEAKER_05]: Easy to answer, getting more and more specific.
[SPEAKER_05]: And to recalling a happier simpler time.
[SPEAKER_05]: Do I get a 37-minute diplomacy chat?
[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah, works.
[SPEAKER_14]: Wildly well.
[SPEAKER_14]: And he can only talk about childhood.
[SPEAKER_14]: He goes immediately back to those memories.
[SPEAKER_14]: And it's just the simplest little things like taking enjoyment out of a meal.
[SPEAKER_14]: Having fun playing a game.
[SPEAKER_14]: knowing what little you know about the bleaching.
[SPEAKER_14]: From to be this far gone, he may have spent 100 years, and a fairly dejected state, even before this happened to him.
[SPEAKER_14]: But with the hypnosis, he's able to regress back to members from childhood.
[SPEAKER_14]: In this house, Vivienne is very room.
[SPEAKER_14]: This was a family estate, so sure.
[SPEAKER_14]: Yes, he's his mind slips back to a time when he was a different person.
[SPEAKER_14]: He's a child here.
[SPEAKER_14]: Momentarily, forgetting what has become of him.
[SPEAKER_04]: Please.
[SPEAKER_04]: Be sure this is what you want.
[SPEAKER_14]: I think he's best that point at this.
[SPEAKER_14]: Giggling a little bit, remembering some game.
[SPEAKER_05]: Dora, cast, go-sounds of children laughing.
[SPEAKER_05]: To reinforce what he's talking about?
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[SPEAKER_05]: You think that gets a subtle clue?
[SPEAKER_10]: And we still, um, telepathically, and a, yeah.
[SPEAKER_10]: Dabwick will, um, think to all of you, are we sure that this is the right choice?
[SPEAKER_10]: There's no oak for him now, but that doesn't mean there's no oak for him tomorrow.
[SPEAKER_10]: He's still alive.
[SPEAKER_10]: He's still as brightness in him.
[SPEAKER_10]: Are we going to end him now?
[SPEAKER_10]: I know that's what he says he wants, but...
What brightness do you see?
[SPEAKER_10]: He remembers his childhood.
[SPEAKER_07]: He won't, when the spell wears off.
[SPEAKER_10]: Are we going to kill everyone that we run across?
[SPEAKER_10]: Who's infected with ramen door?
[SPEAKER_10]: Is that our goal?
[SPEAKER_10]: Is that our path?
[SPEAKER_10]: Is the most celebrated ship right in Casimir?
[SPEAKER_10]: Are we going to his life short and all of his gifts from this planet?
[SPEAKER_10]: Because he's hit rock bottom.
[SPEAKER_05]: He can't control himself, Derek.
[SPEAKER_05]: He doesn't have the resistance you have for a tune.
[SPEAKER_05]: If you have a leaves this house I couldn't find so many others.
[SPEAKER_05]: And if you never leaves this house then this is life.
[SPEAKER_10]: If you never leaves this house for now this is life until maybe we can set things right.
[SPEAKER_10]: I have hope.
[SPEAKER_10]: I can't believe that we would end his life and then just go about our day.
[SPEAKER_04]: So we just leave him?
[SPEAKER_07]: That also does not sound like a mercy.
[SPEAKER_10]: I can come back tomorrow with remove disease prepared.
[SPEAKER_10]: I can try and less of restoration again.
[SPEAKER_10]: I can try to elim.
[SPEAKER_08]: Are you prepared to do that for every single person that we find that's infected?
[SPEAKER_10]: Maybe so.
[SPEAKER_10]: Maybe it's worth it.
[SPEAKER_10]: We can't give in to the despair that we are going to run into.
[SPEAKER_10]: We can't.
[SPEAKER_07]: Do you feel confident that he's not going to say it?
[UNKNOWN]: No.
[SPEAKER_07]: No.
[SPEAKER_07]: That's where it ends for me.
[SPEAKER_07]: If I had even a little scrap of a hope that he's not going to go infect someone else, Debuk, I might be there right there with you.
[SPEAKER_07]: But I don't.
[SPEAKER_07]: I don't think he can live and not.
[SPEAKER_07]: Accidentally, in fact, someone else.
[SPEAKER_10]: It's a burden of responsibility that we've given ourselves.
[SPEAKER_10]: Ken and him.
[SPEAKER_10]: Let's struggle.
[SPEAKER_10]: Let's struggle with that.
[SPEAKER_08]: Good.
[SPEAKER_08]: You should.
[SPEAKER_08]: Now there should be music.
[SPEAKER_08]: But just because it isn't easy, doesn't mean we shouldn't do it.
[SPEAKER_08]: You prepared to lose this whole city?
[SPEAKER_10]: I don't want to lose another to jump and door again.
[SPEAKER_10]: If I can help it.
[SPEAKER_10]: What if I stay here with him the rest of the day?
[SPEAKER_10]: I can meditate here, I can keep an eye on him.
[SPEAKER_10]: And then I can try to heal him and give him some of that.
[SPEAKER_05]: I believe we should take this action as a whole.
[SPEAKER_05]: And if one of our members is not willing, then we can't proceed.
[SPEAKER_10]: If the three of you are our help-end on killing, everyone who's infested with Shaman Dor, from here to the end of the earth, [SPEAKER_10]: Without question, I don't know if I can join you on that journey.
[SPEAKER_07]: No, no one to say, and that's what the journey is.
[SPEAKER_07]: We're looking at here and now, we're looking at this situation, we're not looking at what every fucking situation is going to be.
[SPEAKER_07]: Every fucking situation is going to be different.
[SPEAKER_07]: And I don't know that there's going to be one blank at answer for everything that is going to face us.
[SPEAKER_07]: And to me right now, this particular situation looks pretty fucking bleak for this [SPEAKER_07]: for this ship rate.
[SPEAKER_05]: I'm sorry if, if Dabwick cannot agree with this action and then I can't either.
[SPEAKER_10]: We are going to run into those infected with Charmondaur, probably more and more, as our journey continues.
[SPEAKER_07]: If you spend the night, if you meditate here, if you try to give the healing a shot, which at my understanding is that's not a fucking shoe-in.
[SPEAKER_07]: What then, how many times do we try?
[SPEAKER_08]: How many days do we spend?
[SPEAKER_10]: How many lives are worth it?
[SPEAKER_08]: Exactly.
[SPEAKER_08]: How many lives are worth it?
[SPEAKER_04]: I'll stay with you, Dad, but you're...
[SPEAKER_10]: Or maybe I should just walk, and that you do what you need to do.
[SPEAKER_05]: No, we're stronger together, the only way that we will overcome this in an long run is if we stay together.
[SPEAKER_05]: We can give Debwack one night and then re-evaluate.
[SPEAKER_10]: Ethan, I'm going to stay with you today and we are not going to take your life.
[SPEAKER_10]: Can you hear me?
[SPEAKER_14]: That's up to Pandora.
[SPEAKER_14]: At the moment, he's in a hypnotized reverie and thinks he's someone from a different point in his timeline.
[SPEAKER_05]: Do you want to let him be present for this questioning?
[SPEAKER_12]: The river, you're staying here.
[SPEAKER_10]: I'm staying here.
[SPEAKER_10]: I'm going to stay here with you today.
[SPEAKER_10]: And when I have a chance later, I'm going to try some magic on you.
[SPEAKER_10]: And I'm going to try and make things better.
[SPEAKER_01]: No.
[SPEAKER_10]: It's not the end yet.
[SPEAKER_10]: I don't believe so.
[SPEAKER_10]: It's not the end for you.
[SPEAKER_14]: Curls up into an inconsoluble ball sweeping.
[SPEAKER_09]: Dabwick is just looking over their shoulder at bash in particular bends over even to try and comfort them.
[SPEAKER_14]: So we know Pandora is gonna stay with Dabs here to their Tuesday and here all day.
[SPEAKER_10]: can go meet the new Alba Master.
[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know that I'm going to be the best one to do any.
[SPEAKER_07]: Deployment sizing of a new Harder-Dass Harbor Master.
[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know that my few months as a sailor are going to impress him greatly to give up information.
[SPEAKER_07]: He's not going to give a piece of Harder-Dass.
[SPEAKER_07]: What do you think, Bash?
[SPEAKER_08]: Pandora, can I have the staircase?
[SPEAKER_04]: Are you going to go to Dalat Lane?
[SPEAKER_08]: No.
[SPEAKER_04]: How do I know that?
[SPEAKER_08]: Because I just told you.
[SPEAKER_04]: What do you want to do?
[SPEAKER_08]: I want to offer this poor, wretched soul who is not had a moment's rest from this fucking thing in our heads.
[SPEAKER_08]: I want to give him a chance to go someplace where he can be free of it, so we could actually talk to him and see what he wants.
[SPEAKER_08]: I see no reason to keep him here and keep him miserable and suffering.
[SPEAKER_08]: And if you're not willing to do it, I will do the ritual.
[SPEAKER_05]: I'm not unwilling, though I have my doubts as to its efficacy.
[SPEAKER_05]: But at any rate it can't happen until tonight.
[SPEAKER_05]: And I have very serious concerns about whether or not he can survive it, both going and coming back.
[SPEAKER_14]: 2D6 damage happens regardless of anything else that happens.
[SPEAKER_14]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_14]: And that does not include any damage that might need to be taken to the body in order to return.
[SPEAKER_07]: Which is there is there no...
[SPEAKER_07]: Like I feel like when we weren't in a combat situation, we could kind of hand wave that concentration check.
[SPEAKER_07]: Like is that an option he would have to come back as well or would he have to literally make the role or take the waking body damage?
[SPEAKER_14]: So you had the option because you, uh, you grip as the person with the lowest concentration check still could make it on a natural 20.
[SPEAKER_14]: So we were effectively saying you just chill out until somebody rolls at 20.
[SPEAKER_14]: If he does not have a high enough concentration check, which keep in mind is now going to be lowered because his charisma is down.
[SPEAKER_14]: He might he might literally not have that option.
[SPEAKER_14]: Gotcha.
[SPEAKER_14]: So then what does that mean?
[SPEAKER_14]: He would have to damage his body.
[SPEAKER_08]: No, I mean, if he chooses not to damage his body, and he chooses, and he's unable to make the concentration check to escape the dreamlands.
[SPEAKER_08]: What does that mean?
[SPEAKER_07]: Is he chestered at that point, like is he just there?
[SPEAKER_07]: Chestered.
[SPEAKER_05]: He just never wakes up.
[SPEAKER_05]: Should he survive in the dreamlands, which is also questionable?
[SPEAKER_05]: If he ever gets unstuck, he'll still wake up at a martin.
[SPEAKER_14]: At the exact same moment you all do.
[SPEAKER_14]: Like, there's no relief for him that way in the real world.
[SPEAKER_14]: He just wouldn't be there until he, until he either doesn't have damage to his wakin' body to wake up or dies there, when which case he wakes up mad.
[SPEAKER_05]: I'm not sure the relief is worth it.
[SPEAKER_07]: I don't think it's a solution.
[SPEAKER_05]: It's not a solution.
[SPEAKER_05]: He's not proposing it as a solution.
[SPEAKER_07]: I don't think it's a bomb.
[SPEAKER_07]: I don't think it is the relief you think it is.
[SPEAKER_07]: I think it is another instance of us trying to make us feel better about this awful situation.
[SPEAKER_07]: And that is a luxury that we are running out of.
[SPEAKER_08]: I wasn't thinking about it as a bomb, I was thinking of it as an opportunity to talk to him when he didn't have this thing in his head, when he wasn't at his lowest point.
[SPEAKER_07]: But then you're going to have to explain to him, okay, you might not ever be able to wake up.
[SPEAKER_07]: Now that you've told us what you want, now you're fucking stuck here, mate.
[SPEAKER_08]: No.
[SPEAKER_07]: Congratulations.
[SPEAKER_08]: He's going to wake up, he's going to wake up at the same time we wake up.
[SPEAKER_07]: But in the better situation than he is now, I don't think it's going to give us what you think it's going to give us.
[SPEAKER_05]: If he sleeps in the dreamlands, he won't.
[SPEAKER_05]: Dream, jumb and doors, dreams, yes, and that would be a relief one night.
[SPEAKER_05]: But he will still be suffering from this seedborn consumption.
[SPEAKER_05]: I think I'll really change for him.
[SPEAKER_05]: He won't be a different person in the dreamlands than he is here now.
[SPEAKER_05]: Unless, [SPEAKER_05]: to try to ease not cure his suffering.
[SPEAKER_08]: You're talking about, you're talking about this like the dreamlands isn't real.
[SPEAKER_05]: I'm saying it's not an answer.
[SPEAKER_08]: I didn't say it was an answer.
[SPEAKER_08]: I said it was an opportunity.
[SPEAKER_05]: To cause him to go mad on top of what he is already suffering.
[SPEAKER_08]: No, to give him an opportunity to live a life.
[SPEAKER_07]: I think you're, I think you're fixing on the fact that you got a life.
[SPEAKER_07]: based on your choice.
[SPEAKER_07]: But we're going to drop him where at the fucking care of answer I, he's not going to be in daylight lean.
[SPEAKER_07]: He's not going to have the resources and the wherewithal that you fucking had to carve a life out of a fucking city.
[SPEAKER_07]: He's going to be stranded there.
[SPEAKER_07]: How is that opportunity for him?
[SPEAKER_07]: I feel like I think we fucked him over when we talk about that hypnosis.
[SPEAKER_07]: I think that is I think we have done a cruelty to him by giving him the comfort of that hypnosis and then not doing what he fucking asked us to do.
[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, I agree with you on that 100%.
[SPEAKER_07]: So I'm willing to see if there is some ease, dabble can give him.
[SPEAKER_07]: I'm not going to the brimlands and I will not be a caster in that ritual for this part of us.
[SPEAKER_05]: As long as he lives, he will need Supervision and Care.
[SPEAKER_05]: He can never leave this house while he is infected, because he cannot be trusted not to infect others.
[SPEAKER_05]: We would be responsible for him.
[SPEAKER_05]: Completely, we could share this burden with no one, who is not also infected.
[SPEAKER_05]: We would need to check in on him every day, make sure he is eating and drinking water and caring for himself, and he will continue to get sicker.
[SPEAKER_05]: I'm not saying this to pressure you into changing your mind, only so that we all understand what it is we are proposing.
[SPEAKER_08]: Hey, Dabs.
[SPEAKER_08]: I know you've big on the rules and stuff.
[SPEAKER_08]: What's the, what's the city's rules about plague?
[SPEAKER_08]: You're a rat catcher, like there have to be rules about, like, plagues of rats and stuff and the diseases that they can bring.
[SPEAKER_08]: What's the, what's, what is it that, that the city does?
[SPEAKER_10]: The city's main concern is containment, um, what are you suggesting?
[SPEAKER_08]: I'm asking you, what are the, what are the laws regarding a bringing a plague into the city?
[SPEAKER_08]: Imagine there's like a, a plague ship.
[SPEAKER_08]: pulls into the heart, but what do they do with it?
[SPEAKER_08]: They let people off, they burn it to the water's edge, what do they do?
[SPEAKER_10]: I understand what you're trying to say to me, and I, and I, I'm not saying you're wrong.
[SPEAKER_10]: This is a, this plague must be stopped.
[SPEAKER_10]: I want to put my finger in the dam and try to, [SPEAKER_10]: keep it from spreading through other means, but I know what you're saying.
[SPEAKER_10]: I know what you're saying.
[SPEAKER_10]: May I, may I please have this day with Ethan and to an opportunity to give them some respite this afternoon and maybe talk to them again.
[SPEAKER_05]: Yes, of course.
[SPEAKER_07]: I'm fine with her.
[SPEAKER_10]: I'm sorry, I'm...
Dad work.
[SPEAKER_04]: No.
[SPEAKER_04]: Don't apologize.
[SPEAKER_10]: He means so much to the city.
[SPEAKER_10]: I can't just...
[SPEAKER_10]: Let it go, I need this time, but if there's anything I can do to help on the next step of the journey from here, is there anything I can tell you about?
[SPEAKER_10]: Old Casimir, three gates, or where are you headed next?
[SPEAKER_07]: What time of the day is it right now?
[SPEAKER_07]: One pmish.
[SPEAKER_07]: Midday.
[SPEAKER_07]: Bash, should you and I take this time and go talk to the heart of our master?
[SPEAKER_05]: We're still connected.
[SPEAKER_05]: If you think you can be here or no.
[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, we could all stay here, but I feel like we could make use of at least a few of these hours.
[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, the thing that Bash could do is Bash could just go out and walk the city and like continue to put in hours.
[SPEAKER_14]: Sure.
[SPEAKER_14]: And then, if the two of you want to go, talk to Julius Canis or something, well, go, go, go.
[SPEAKER_14]: Get a kill a few birds with one stone of time here.
[SPEAKER_14]: As long as that was alright.
[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, I was fine with that.
[SPEAKER_14]: Is there anybody on your list, Pauli, that would be primarily located Abbie Greenish, maybe Northern Shipyard Zish, that Dora and Gripp could also stop and visit if you think any of them might have.
[SPEAKER_10]: I have a friend, a street performer, an aphalph, her name's Caliphenshatter.
[SPEAKER_10]: She performs tricks with trained magpies and the squares of Abbey Green.
[SPEAKER_10]: And she's quite charismatic.
[SPEAKER_10]: I think you might like her.
[SPEAKER_10]: She might have an eye on what's going on around the Abbey Green area.
[SPEAKER_07]: She might be worth talking to.
[SPEAKER_10]: Uh, I would be interested to see her what her reaction would be, but yes, I think so.
[SPEAKER_14]: Alright.
[SPEAKER_14]: So, the area of town that she performs in is South Iby Green North shipyards.
[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah, great.
[SPEAKER_14]: I'm glad you thought it was poly.
[SPEAKER_14]: Essentially, like, she hangs out by day in this area.
[SPEAKER_14]: It's one person that might have a different.
[SPEAKER_14]: She's a street performer.
[SPEAKER_14]: She might have a different view on.
[SPEAKER_14]: I so far you've talked to [SPEAKER_14]: you've been mostly looking for certain kinds of information talking to more like shipyard folk sailors, business folks on the pier.
[SPEAKER_14]: It's the different kind of person.
[SPEAKER_05]: Respective.
[SPEAKER_14]: Different perspective.
[SPEAKER_14]: Also, you know, no information.
[SPEAKER_14]: Right.
[SPEAKER_14]: Might know different people have seen different things.
[SPEAKER_05]: Yes, if she's closest, let's chat.
[SPEAKER_14]: It would be easy for Dabs to give you a path like just simply head around quickfall.
[SPEAKER_14]: I'll be this way instead of that way and you'll probably run into her on your way.
[SPEAKER_05]: I do that and perhaps then if there's time and no new leads, we make our way down to Judy's cane or Archie Ambrac.
[SPEAKER_07]: That's one of the members of that group.
[SPEAKER_05]: It wasn't there.
[SPEAKER_07]: Archie, that wasn't there.
[SPEAKER_07]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_14]: Well, great.
[SPEAKER_05]: Great.
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_05]: Those are ideas.
[SPEAKER_14]: So after a conversation, the first of its kind, perhaps with more of its kind to come, [SPEAKER_14]: We will now split the party.
[SPEAKER_14]: That's the end of Chapter 155.
[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see you next week.

[SPEAKER_15]: I'm a pro-tagonist.
[SPEAKER_15]: Well, the story pal.
[SPEAKER_14]: No, you're a story pal.
[SPEAKER_14]: A story buddy.
[SPEAKER_07]: My name is Rob.
[SPEAKER_07]: I'm the story pal tonight.
[SPEAKER_07]: Protagonist, antagonist, and lover.
[SPEAKER_01]: Right?
