Welcome to Transformation Church podcast, where we represent God to the lost and found for transformation in Christ.
We're so glad you're here and wherever you're listening from, we believe God will transform your life.
Did today's message my daughter?
Speaker 2She asked me, She said, would you just read the Christmas Story?
Speaker 3Dad?
Speaker 4And I was like, what do you mean?
You just want me to get up there and read.
You's like, like, read it, but then remix it.
How you be remixing it?
And I said, for real, this was Bella and A.
But last night in the bed, they was like, just read it and then be remix it.
Speaker 2And I said, so I want to do that.
Speaker 4So today I want us to go to Matthew chapter one, verse eighteen, and I want us to read the story of how.
Speaker 2We got the greatest gift in history.
Speaker 4It says in Matthew chapter one, verse eighteen, this is how Jesus the Messiah was born.
His mother, Mary was engaged to be married to Joseph, but before the marriage took place, while she was still a virgin, she became pregnant through the power of the Holy Spirit, whoa questions after question after question Joseph to whom she was engaged was a righteous man, and so he didn't want to disgrace her publicly, so he decided to break the engagement.
Speaker 2Quietly.
Speaker 4As he considered this, the Angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, Joseph son of David.
The angel said, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife, for the child within her was conceived by the Holy Spirit, and she will have a son, and you, Joseph, are to name him.
Say his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.
All of this occurred to fulfill the Lord's message through the prophet.
Look, the virgin will conceive a child.
She will give birth to a son, and they will call you him Emmanuel, which means help me, God is with us.
When Joseph woke up, he did as the Angel of the Lord commanded and took Mary as his wife, but he did not have any sexual relations with her until her son was born and Joseph named him, Say his name Jesus.
For the last fourteen weeks, we've been in a series called Triggered, and we've been talking about the ability to not crash out.
Now, some people are in this room and they don't understand what I mean when I say crash out, But maybe you have a little inference like this is the season, Christmas season specifically, where a lot of people are busy, a lot of people are short with people, a lot of people have attitudes, a lot of people have priorities that aren't other people's priorities, which make you frustrated that you not considering me.
There's a lot of opportunities at Christmas, in the world, workplace, at school, to crash out?
Has anybody?
Can we be hot, humble, open and transparent?
Has anybody in the last thirty days how to crash out?
Hands all over the room?
Okay, with your kids, with your husband, with yourself.
Some of y'all don't need nobody else to crash out.
You just need you and yourself and you will have made up a whole story in your head and gone round and round in circles.
And what I'm finding in the world that we live in.
This world is full of chaos, and if we don't focus on something that is stable and consistent, we will be tossed to and fro and begin to actually feed into our lower nature that causes us to crash out.
And it's hard watch this to care for somebody that you're crashing out on.
It's hard to have compassion for somebody that you can't even see past your own situation.
So what we have decided in this series is that in two tenty and twenty five, the church needs to know how to get their emotions in check because our response cannot be the same as people who don't know Jesus, because that's the only difference.
So when that happens to them and the same thing happens to us, how do we respond?
Most of us could not tell the difference.
They cuss you out, Church, people cuss you out to.
Speaker 2You laughing, but you the one.
Speaker 5And this, this right here is the very reason why God's saying that maybe there's something underneath that needs to be dealt with.
Speaker 4And this is how I put it in a point everybody listened to me.
Unaddressed triggers usually lead to a crash out.
If you won't even admit that it's something that's going on in you, it's going to lead to a crash out.
Passing, Mike, what does this have to do with Jesus.
I'm getting there.
I need you to understand that his birth and Mary and Joseph and they life that they had perfectly that up was about to get crashed into because Jesus was coming on the scene.
It was the perfect opportunity for them to crash out.
Now, I don't know about you.
I don't know y'all ever watched that show with Bridezilla.
Did y'all ever see that on HGTV and how people would be planning for their wedding and they would turn into a different person because the flowers weren't ivory.
This is white, not ivory, and there was I want the cake to be a certain Okay.
I used to watch that show and I used to think, like, why are these people tripped so hard on this moment.
It's because they had a plan that they were going to go with, and when their plan got messed up, it triggered something on the inside of them that made them lash out.
My question to you is, what do you do when your plan gets messed up?
When the thing that you've been preparing for, saving for what you've been telling everybody that's gonna happen.
What happens when that plan gets interrupted?
Many of us have the response that I don't even care how this feels to me.
No more.
I'm gonna do everything that I feel and everything that I think.
Speaker 2But Joseph and Mary show us a different.
Speaker 4Way because at this moment they haven't crashed out when Jesus was about to crash in.
Speaker 2Now listen to me.
Speaker 4This is a story, a testimony to me that we do not have to crash out when life hits us because Jesus crashes into humanity.
This is what I want everybody to know on this Christmas Day that because Jesus came in, I don't have to show out.
Godley, I've tried to make it real simple for you because Jesus came into my life.
I don't got to defend myself when they talk about me.
Because Jesus came in my life when they did something that is unforgivable, I can still have the grace and the power to forgive.
Because Jesus crashed in.
I do not have to crash out.
And some of us cheapen the work of what Jesus did because we still want to express in a way that goes against what he did for us.
So today I'm asking everybody to self evaluate and see if what Jesus did could be more impactful to your life in an everyday sense, so you don't have to go and have the same response when you go eat dinner with your family and they ask you, why are you so big?
Oh, y'all know our families are ruthless.
Oh okay?
Does anybody have some ruthless family members in here?
Okay?
And if your hand is not up, you're the one.
Speaker 2You're the ruthless family member.
We talk about you.
Speaker 4You're mean.
Everybody say, I don't have to crash out, y'all gotta say it with some safe I don't have to crash out because Jesus crashed in.
Speaker 2One more time.
Speaker 4I don't have to crash out because Jesus crashed in.
So if you crash out, it's a choice.
Speaker 2I need everybody to hear me.
Speaker 4If you at the fool, if you don't represent your salvation, if you don't actually receive what God has given you, it is a choice.
And I just want you to see that Mary and Joseph had a choice to respond differently, but because they responded in the way that they did, we get to see a picture of what happens when Jesus crashes in.
Let me ask a question, has anybody ever crashed into something?
Come on, anybody ever crashed into something before?
See chart said Abbey the crashing all the time, Then why he say that to you?
Abby?
Golly?
Anybody ever crashed into a car?
Now?
Now, this is the funny thing, you know, when people would be like I got in.
Speaker 2An accident, nobody really leads with who actual fault it was.
Speaker 4Has anybody ever crashed into somebody?
Come on, let's be honest, crashed in okay?
Cool?
I saw somebody the other day that they they were walking outside from inside the outside, and they had a big glass and the glass was really clear, and they was walking with with intention and when they hit that back.
And the one thing I realized when they hit that glass is obviously they didn't know what was there.
But anytime something or someone crashes into something, it's two things.
Write this down.
It's an introduction and an interruption.
When that person crashed into the wall, hello, it's a glass wall here, they were introduced to something.
And also the way they were walking was interrupted.
When Jesus crashes in, he is doing both interrupting something and introducing something.
Okay, have you ever worked in a company and your boss never comes to the office and then just at the just most random time, the boss, the head person comes in and they crash into your office.
If they do that, let me help you.
It's about to be an interruption and an introduction.
Like I'm trying to get you to understand that crashing into something is when God is trying to show you something brand new.
And this is what I want to tell you as we end this year in power.
When you crash into something, or you go through a moment where something comes to stop you, it wasn't a part of the plan.
Speaker 2This is the picture of Christmas.
Speaker 4Jesus coming from God to humanity to save them was not on Mary and Joseph's plan.
They weren't born like we know what we created to do, like we're about to were about to no, no, no no.
They were about to live their own life, do their own thing.
And God said, let me find two people that I can interrupt and introduce something through and Jesus, everybody say, crashed in.
So let me tell you what the story of Christmas is.
The story of Christmas is God interrupting sin and introducing grace.
You want to know what Christmas is, It is Jesus crashing in and interrupting sin, interrupting the cycles I was in, interrupting the pain that I was causing other people, interrupting self, sabotage that would come by watching pornography.
He was interrupting the cycles in my life.
And he interrupted, and he introduced me to not what religion does, works and rules.
He introduced me to grace.
And today on Christmas, I want you to know that what God gives as a gift we don't deserve, but He gives it freely, so that you can understand that it was all Him the whole time.
And because Jesus crashed in, I can now live in freedom.
Because Jesus crashed into my life, I can now have hope.
Because Jesus crashed into my life, I can have a new day.
And I don't know who's watching this, but I came to tell you.
Let Jesus crash into you right now.
Let him crash into the dysfunction you're walking in.
Let him crash into the confusion you have in your head and your heart.
Let him crash into that situation that seems so disoriented that all you want to do is sleep.
Let him crash in, because if he comes in, other things have to change.
This is the story of Christmas, Jesus interrupting sin and introducing grace this year.
This past week, I got to see my daughter Ava.
She played the melanated Mary in her Christmas production and she's in and then my other daughter Bella three years ago, she was Mary in the production as well.
Speaker 2And this means a few things.
Speaker 4I mean, number one, my daughter is up for a golden globe or a what would it be?
Oscar.
The way she stared at that little chocolate baby for four minutes without breaking contact, Aba, I'm so proud of you.
And the second thing that means is I have way too many videos on my phone right now.
And the third thing that means is that we listened to Mary did you Know?
Eight million, six hundred and ninety two times, and somewhere around the six million time, it hit me that Mary didn't know we sing this on Mary, did you know?
Let me answer you.
Speaker 5No.
Speaker 4Mary had no idea that God was going to require something of her that would make her uncomfortable.
But if she could stay focused on what God said to her, it could be the thing that would change human history forever.
Mary didn't know.
But Mary had to surrender to what.
Speaker 2God was asking.
Speaker 4And I don't know who's listening to this right now, but some of you don't know what tomorrow holds, You don't know what next year holds, You don't know what anything is going to be, but you do know who holds it.
And what I'm telling you is Mary gives us a depiction that you don't have to know as long.
Speaker 2As you know the one who does know.
Speaker 4And this is why I looked at her story differently, and I just want to walk you through this real quick.
Just think about the Christmas story and how triggered that Mary and Joseph could have been and how they could have crashed out.
They're about to be engaged to be married, and most of the Alogians believe that Mary was somewhere between the ages of fifteen and seventeen, so she's a preteen mom.
Speaker 2She comes into this.
Speaker 4Situation about to have a baby daddy that she liked Joe.
They about to come together and live a happily.
Ever after she goes to sleep, wakes up and was like, ooh.
Speaker 2Some ain't right.
Speaker 4And I know this, saying Joe, how I'm gonna tell him?
Angel comes Mary, Don't be afraid.
I'm afraid, very afraid.
She said, how is how could this be?
How did this happen?
We ain't even do what needed to happen to do what happened.
And he said, the Holy Spirit hasn't prayed, I ain't met him.
Who is that?
Speaker 2Like, I'm sorry, this is how it comes to my mind.
Speaker 4And he said this, this is going to be gods so okay, but could you tell Joseph because this is gonna I think this.
Speaker 2Is gonna be a deal breaker.
Speaker 4Joseph's sleeping, like I love Mary ooh, about to have a good I'm about to marry that.
Guess he's on one.
He finds out boom.
Angel comes to such dreams.
Joseph, Hello, your girl is pregnant with God's baby.
You ever been in a dream that you was trying to fight to wake up out of y'all know them dreams where you just falling and falling and falling, or you can't get l I don't know what, but it was a dream out of it and trying to fight what.
Hey, I need you to not just go away.
I'm not trying to get rid of you, Joe.
You're gonna be an intricate part of this story.
Probably the most the most looked over person in the whole story, but the most intricate.
They're not gonna write no songs about you, Joseph.
Y'all know what Joseph so has anybody ever.
That's what we're gonna do DC worship.
We're gonna write a song for Joseph, because don't nobody talk about Joe but Joseph.
Think about it, Joseph has to get this dream, wake up.
Name the baby Jesus.
If anything, I'm gonna name the baby Joe.
Okay, come on, y'all, I'm gonna stay with you, and you're gonna name this baby Junior.
He obeyed the word watch this.
This is another fact that people don't understand.
He doesn't disgrace Mary.
He still marries her, which in this society would have been a been I don't know, because the women were coming into status when they got married.
In this time, he's saying, I'm still going to give her her dignity.
Knowing what's happening, and then it was his responsibility watch this.
Speaker 2To get her to the place that the Savior was to be born at.
Speaker 4He had to facilitate the transportation.
He had to get the donkey.
He had to walk while she was riding Godly.
Speaker 2I don't know.
Speaker 4About you, but I get encouraged by Joseph's story because sometimes it don't make sense why we're in a situation.
I bet there was many times that Joseph was about to crash out, like hold on, wait, you don't want the food I just bought you, Because you know, pregnant women, the food that they liked before they was pregnant, they don't like when they're pregnant.
So they even like, you want a hot dog, you do want to stand the hot dogs?
You used to ee hot dogs all the time.
Y'all know what I'm talking about.
Speaker 2He had to go through all I just want to make it real for you.
Speaker 4He had to go through so many different things, watched this and still believe the word that he heard from heaven today.
There would have been so many opportunities for Joseph to crash out, for Mary to crash out, just like there's so many opportunities right now for you to crash out.
But I just want to know if you could actually take some lessons from Mary in Joseph's life that would allow you to see what happens when Jesus crashes in See interruptions from God.
Watch this are always invitation to something greater.
If God interrupted your plan, he's trying to get you to do something greater.
If God allowed that relationship not to work out, he's trying to give you something greater.
Speaker 2If God let that business.
Speaker 4Deal fall through, it's because he's trying to give you something greater.
And that's why Matthew won eighteen said, this is how the.
Speaker 2Messiah was born to Mary.
Speaker 4And when he was born to Mary, I bet Mary, Mary felt lonely.
Speaker 2And Christmas is the story.
Speaker 4Listen, I'm just gonna give you six things that Christmas actually means.
Christmas is the story of God interrupting loneliness and introducing love.
He literally probably finds Mary in the loneliest place in the world, trying to figure out how she's gonna walk around, knowing this baby is illegitimate in everybody's eyes, knowing my husband or my future husband doesn't feel connected me because it's not his child.
And then Jesus interrupts.
And this is what the scripture tells us and Matthew one twenty three.
It says, behold, a virgin shall be with child and shall bring forth the sun, and they shall call his name.
Watch this Emmanuel, which means what God is with us.
Speaker 2So first, God's with you.
John four seven says, be loved.
Speaker 4Let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.
God's main characteristic is love.
So literally, when Jesus interrupts, Love is interrupting and being with Mary.
Okay, Jesus is God, he is love.
Speaker 2God is say it with me.
God is so because God.
Speaker 4Is love and Jesus is on the inside of her.
At the moment she felt lonely, Love was still in her.
Oh my God, get the picture that at the moment you feel lonely, Heaven says God's with you.
Love is with you.
I know they left, but love didn't leave.
I know they gone, but Love didn't leave you.
I know you're trying to figure out how you're gonna make it, and you feel lonely and nobody's with you, and you wish it was different.
But God is e man you Well, it could say love with us.
Oh God, I don't got enough time to teach you how I feel.
Speaker 2It right now.
But Christmas is the story of God.
Speaker 4Interrupting loneliness and introducing love.
So if you feel lonely today, just want to let you know that this Christmas you have the ability to receive the love of Jesus.
Let me tell you the second thing Christmas is the story of God interrupting anxiety and introducing peace.
Speaker 2Do y'all know how chaotic it must.
Speaker 4Have been to be trying to move in the middle of trying to figure out if y'all gonna even be together, in the middle of trying to get to another place for the census, and trying to like, there was so many things going on at this moment, anxiety everywhere, even down to when Jesus was to be born.
Speaker 2They didn't even.
Speaker 4Have a room for him.
God, you couldn't have planned this battle like I would have been.
Going back to that angel, miss angel, miss angel, you told me that my wife was gonna be pregnant.
Speaker 2With God, I see it, she pregnant.
Speaker 4You told me that this was gonna be a good situation and he should be born in a manger.
But we thought there was gonna be room for him somewhere, but they told us here no, there no, there no, there no.
And God was like, yeah, I'm interrupting your plan and how you thought it was gonna be.
Speaker 2To introduce something greater.
Speaker 4I needed Jesus to be born in a place that was lowly, so there would be not one person to every think that they were too low to be able to come out of a situation.
I needed somebody to understand that.
The hotel would have made somebody think it was for the elite.
But Jesus came to save the people in the slums, in the barns, in the crack house, in the trap house.
He came for all of us.
Excuse me, hear what I'm saying to you.
That probably made Mary and Joseph in the process very anxious.
But Jesus crashed in.
And so when anxious thoughts and ideas come, remember you got Jesus.
Remember peace crashes in.
That's why Isaiah ninety six says it like this, For unto us, a child is born, and unto us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders, and he will be called help me, wonderful counselor Mighty God, everlasting Father.
What's the last one, prince of peace?
So when you're feeling anxious, I want to let you know, let Jesus crash in.
Let him crash into your thoughts.
Let him crash into those anxious thoughts.
Let him crash in with his love and his word because he wants to give you peace.
Let me tell you one more thing.
I started looking at their story and like, the one thing that I realized is when Jesus crashes in, there's no warning.
Speaker 2When Jesus crashes in.
Speaker 4Some of y'all came to service today or you're watching this right now online or on TV, and you weren't expecting to be watching this.
Jesus is crashing into your situation right now.
You was watching the news and then bow here we are.
He's trying to interrupt and introduce something.
And when God crashes in, he crashes in without warning.
Speaker 2And I think he does.
Speaker 4This because sometimes life crashes into us without warning.
It's our job as believers to know that, you know what, if God's gonna allow this, he gonna work it.
Speaker 2Out for our good.
Speaker 4This week, as we were participating in the end of the year giving time that we had at Transformation Church, we had people write down what they were believing God for in crazy faith, and there was something that happened that.
Speaker 2Really was a blessing to me.
Speaker 4We found out that there was some partners who lost everything in a fire in their apartment, a single mother with two children.
They lost everything.
And some of y'all remember the message last week.
I said, I'm just believing that our church would be an Acts two forty two church that when people are in need, people would raise up and just do things and come out, and the church wouldn't have to be the one to do everything, that people would do it.
And I just started saying that and people were screaming like yeah.
And then right after service we found this out.
Well, the team was like, we gotta do something.
We got to make a move to actually when it could be anxious, bring peace to a situation.
And so let me tell you what Transformation Church did this week, y'all.
Speaker 2Let me tell you what we did, and.
Speaker 4Then I'll tell you a really fun part is that there was a family that their house burned down.
Speaker 2This is video of it.
Speaker 4And the team got together and they took this family to the furniture store.
Speaker 2We partnered with.
Speaker 4Mathis Brothers and we took this family and we got them all new furniture, couches, beds, dining room table.
Y'all come up here real quick, y'all come up here.
I want my family.
This is what happened, y'all.
This is what y'all can do better than that.
This is what happened.
Where there could have been anxiety, where there could have been frustration, the Church was able to bring.
Speaker 2Somebody say peace and y'all, y'all come right up here, right here, right here, Come on this this is beautiful.
Speaker 4I love you, Zilei, Zion Yulitsa.
We just thank God for the Church being able to represent peace and y'all look good in y'all white.
Speaker 2Let me tell you something right here.
Speaker 4I had to acknowledge them.
They had no idea God was going to work their situation out.
God had no idea.
They had no idea.
But God did because he knew that there were people in this roomb that would say.
Speaker 2What can I do?
How can I help?
Speaker 4They got into a new apartment, they have all new furniture.
Speaker 2But listen, it's Christmas time and when you're nine, a bed is not a present.
Speaker 4So because there were some other people that heard what I said and was like passing, like what else can we do?
And this just happened through the Grapevine.
Hey, I need y'all follow me real quick, y'all.
Speaker 2Come on, come on, real fast, real fact.
Speaker 4I need y'all to shout like you know what's about to happen for you, y'all.
Come on, follow me real quick.
Come on, come on, I'm gonna take y'all.
Speaker 2Come on.
Speaker 4We going here, and I believe God's about to do something, y'all.
Come on, come on, come in, hold my hands, ying come here.
It's Christmas time, and we wanted you to know that God is not one who forgets about the details.
And I want you to know that you thought you might have lost everything, but God has something special just for y'all.
This Christmas Transformation Church.
We wanted to give Christmas to this family.
This is all y'all's This is all y'all's stuff married Christmas.

So I want you to open this gift real quick and see y'all gotta open it like you mean it.
It's Christmas, it's Christmas morning.
Come on, we ripping this thing off.
Come on, Zion, what is it?
Zion?
Speaker 2What is it?
Speaker 4What is this?
Ziot?
Merry Christmas, buddy, and you got your iPad?
Married christ Church, Let's celebrate what God has done.
Look at that shout out to my brother at Oasis, Thank you brother aj.
Come on Church, let's give God praise.
This is what God will do.
This is what he does.
Takes anxiety away from people by.
Speaker 2People being his hands and feet.
Speaker 4I feel like running right now, Transformation Church.
Can we give God praise all over this fielding?
Oh, y'all could do better than that.
Their lives were just change, an interruption and an inswer when they had no idea.
When Jesus crashing, it's an interruption and an introduction.
Speaker 2Now the crazy thing about it is.
Speaker 4They're out there processing what God just did for them.
Speaker 2But you could do that for somebody tomorrow.
Speaker 4I'm not talking about the amount, but tomorrow there's somebody that may need you to just listen to the Holy Spirit.
What could you pay for for somebody?
What word of encouragement.
I'm not saying you'd even have to use money, but if you would slow down, just the moment and the Holy Spirit say go pray for that person.
Speaker 2You say, hey, I'm so sorry, my name is Can I pray for.
Speaker 4You real quick?
And they may like but you have no idea what they just said right before you walked up.
And this could be a sign.
See, when Jesus crashed in, he was about to change human history.
He was about to give us gifts under treat them kids out there crying right now.
They have no idea how to handle, just things that they won't even remember next year.
Let's be honest, all the things is great right now.
Next year they go with the PS seven PF twenty PS.
But we get a gift that lasts with us for eternity.
Christmas, it's the story write this down of God interrupting anger and introducing joy.
Joseph, if he is like any other man on this earth, probably had a few moments of being like, you know what, marry you and this donkey gone.
I don't know, maybe that's just me.
Marry you and this donkey.
Y'all can have it because many times a lot of men, if they don't learn how to process their emotions, all their emotions turn into just anger.
Speaker 2And we're working on that, right men.
Speaker 4Yeah, we gonna have to do a series because we believe in theology and therapy and a lot of y'all need it.
Speaker 2But he could have been angry.
But watch what this does.
Speaker 4The Bible tells us in Psalm sixteen eleven, and it says, you make known to me the path of life.
In your presence there's fullness of showy, and at your right hand there's pleasures forevermore.
When Jesus comes in, his presence comes in.
When his presence comes in, joy comes in.
When joy comes in, anger can't stay.
You ain't never seen nobody angry and joyful.
That is an impossible intersection.
Somebody who is completely joyful cannot be angry.
Speaker 2And what God is asking you, let me come in, Let.
Speaker 4Me crash into that marriage who you've been protecting because.
Speaker 2You don't want nobody know our business.
We already know you jacked up.
Speaker 4We don't know the details, but we see y'all like, let him crash in and interrupt the cycles of anger with joy.
That's what happened at Christmas.
Watch this next one.
Christmas is the story of God interrupting fear and introducing faith.
Mary and Joseph probably had a lot of fear of taking those steps as they were trying to go from one place to another.
Speaker 2She's pregnant, it's dark, they don't have place to stay.
God, why did you call us to do this?
Speaker 4But God literally tells us that wherever you have fear, he says, I will be the one to increase your faith.
Look at it in Isaiah forty one to ten.
So do not fear.
This is said in the Bible so many times.
Do not fear.
He's literally telling us over and over and over again, do not what fear?
Why would you say that so many times?
Because he knew it would be a natural inclination for us as humans to lean into fear.
He's saying, do not fear.
Why?
Speaker 2Because he's a Manuel god with us?
Speaker 4He said, I'm with you.
Do not be dismayed, for I am your God, and now I'm not just gonna be our God.
I'm gonna strengthen you and help you, and i will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Speaker 2If you are dealing with fear right now, I get it.
Speaker 4Mary and Joseph dealt with fear, raising your kids in twenty twenty five, going to that college, trying to figure out what high school you're gonna be a part.
There's so many things that fear can try to creep in.
But we have to replace our fear with letting Jesus crash in.
Jesus doesn't come in with fear, He comes in with faith.
He says, I don't give you that type of spirit.
Speaker 2I'll never give you.
Speaker 4A spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound Let Jesus christ you in and give you power, love and a sound mind.
Speaker 2That's the story of Christmas.
The story of Christmas.
Speaker 4Let me give you one more, is a story of God interrupting shame and introducing grace.
From the time Mary found out she was pregnant, Shame probably tried to just literally, I don't want to go out, I don't want to see nobody.
I don't want nobody to see me.
Speaker 2I don't want to.
Speaker 4I just want to disappear.
Has anybody ever dealt with shame in your life?
Come on, Shame makes you not want to be who you know you are when you're when you're ashamed of what you did or what happened, it makes you want to just I don't never mind, I don't want to.
It is a debilitating factor that is used by the enemy to cancel people's callings.
Shame has taken out more people than the devil has.
Speaker 2Well, they're gonna think this about me.
Speaker 4Forget what they think.
If God called you, if God chose you, if God called your name, if God empowers you, you cannot.
Yeah I did it, I'm not it.
Speaker 2Oh y'all missed it.
Speaker 4Yes I did that, but that is not who I am.
That was an event that is not my identity.
And somebody needs to be encouraged today who's been in shame that Jesus crushes in to let you know, don't be ashamed of that.
I'll watch that, I'll clean that.
I'll make that a part of your story that actually gives you the ability to stand confident.
My story is a story of somebody who was a liar, a manipulator, I was addicted to pornography.
I have bad things in my heart.
Oh, the pastor is saying it.
Yeah, I'm saying it if that's what I used to do.
And some of y'all steal lying about your testimony and what I'm telling you right now, God only blesses who you really.
Speaker 2Are, not who you pretend to be.
Speaker 4Today.
I'm telling you right now you do not have to live in shame because Jesus crashed in.
Speaker 2But it's a choice at Christmas.
Speaker 4It's a choice today some of you.
I believe, by faith, you're gonna walk out of shame and you're gonna begin to walk into the grace of God.
The Bible says it like this Ephesians two and eight.
It says, for by grace you have been saved.
That is not through good works.
That is not through how many prayers you've done.
That is not through how many times you've done the right thing.
It says, for by grace you have been saved through your faith.
Speaker 2And this is not your own doing.
Speaker 4It is the gift of God, not as a result of your own works.
Speaker 2So that you can't boast about it.
Speaker 4When Jesus comes in, he says, I come with grace and today I need you to receive it.
The reason why Mary and Joseph could not crash out is because we needed Christ.
I mean if they would, if they would have crashed out, all of us would be messed up.
But God chose the right ones.
He chose the right ones that would say, even though this is hard, I'm gonna still keep walking, even though this is difficult, I'm gonna still keep going.
Speaker 2And I bet there were sometimes that in their journey.
Speaker 4It got very dark, like I mean, I bet, mentally, emotionally, even physically.
Speaker 2They're literally traveling in.
Speaker 4A desert on a donkey, pregnant wife, confused husband.
It seemed dark.
It seemed like, is there is there any way out of this situation?
And there are some people in here right now that this this is how your life has felt all twenty twenty five.
It's felt dark.
It's felt like what is going on?
And when will this end?
In God, will you please do something different because I can't stay here right now.
If you decide to leave the service, this would be dangerous for you.
Why cause it's dark.
Movement in the dark feels dangerous, trying to find your way in the dark fields.
What danger.
It feels risky, it feels like why is this happening?
But as Mary and Joseph decided that we're not going to let the darkness keep us in this same place, the story of Christmas is the story of God interrupting darkness and introducing humanity to light.
See, there were three men traveling who had heard a word from God that the Messiah was to be born, and it had been spoken through prophecy after prophecy, and these men were also in the dark, just as Joseph and Mary were emotionally and physically in the dark.
Speaker 2These men were walking in a desert through the dark.
Speaker 4And I don't know who these gods were, but I bet there's like where are we going?
And the other one was like, just stay focused, we're following the word, following what word.
Remember, the Messiah is to be born, and we have to go present to what we have to him.
We have to give our gifts to him.
And probably the honorary one was just walking like, bro, I'm sick of this.
When can something else happen?
And these men were given the most beautiful picture of what Jesus came to give all of us.
There was a star that just appeared out of nowhere, word for a star, as there was a light that came on.
And when this light came on, something jumped in they spirit and they said, we gotta follow the light.
They went from darkness, not knowing, wandering to saying, I don't know anything else, but just as long as we follow the light.
Christmas is the story of everybody who has been living in darkness getting introduced to the light of the world.
His name is Jesus.
He loves you dearly.
He's the only one that can take you from lonely to love.
He's the only one that can take you from fear to faith.
Speaker 2He's the only one that can take you from shame to grace.
Speaker 4And today I'm coming to let you know that Christmas is not about trees, ordaments, or gifts we can give to somebody.
It's about the gift that was already given to us.
His name is Emmanuel, God with us.
And just as those wise men, and the Bible tells us that there were others that saw this same light.
Just as they followed it, their walk changed, their life changed because they were able to move not by what they had designed for their own self, but they followed the light.
And today I'm asking you, are you following the light?
Are you following the light of the world, Jesus?
If you're not, Christmas is a story of the interruption of darkness and then the introduction of light.
Let me give you a scripture John eight twelve.
Again, Jesus spoke to them, saying, I am the light of the world.
Whoever follows me watch this will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.
Speaker 2I wonder what the light of life feels like.
I wonder what.
Speaker 4Happens when light begins to come to dark situations.
Jesus said, if you follow me, yeah, those wise men they follow the star.
But if you follow me, everything in your life will be lit up.
Everything that's dark, the confusion you have in relationships, the confusion you have in your life.
He said, I'll start lighting everything up.
As a matter of fact, you will become a light.
I won't just light it up.
You will be pumped.
You don't believe me, Matthew, Chapter five, verse fourteen, it says you.
Speaker 2Are the light of the world.
Speaker 4Flips it.
He told him, I'm the light of the world.
But now he says, you are the light of a world, a city set up on a heel that cannot be hidden.
Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house.
In the same way, let your light soul shine before others, so that you may see your good works and get glory to your Father who is in heaven.
Everybody's standing all over this room.
We don't have to crash out because Jesus crashed it.
Speaker 2At this moment, I want to do two things.
Speaker 4Y'all were going to be in church for about six more minutes, so I just want you to use this as a reverent moment to focus.
Would you close your eyes all over this building?
And if you're watching online or on TV, would you just close your eyes?
And right now I want to ask you, are you following Jesus not do I go to church?
Or am I religious or spiritual?
Like do I.
Speaker 2Actually have a relationship with the reason for the season.
Speaker 4And if the answer is no, or maybe today I want to give you an opportunity to receive Jesus on account of three If you want to make a decision to put your life in the hands of the one who created you, knows you, and has been with you the whole time.
All you're going to do is repeat a simple prayer after me.
And if you're in this room or you're watching at a different time, I'm telling you, the same spirit that is in this moment right now is with you right now.
If you want to receive Jesus.
Number one, you're making the greatest.
Speaker 2Decision of your life.
Speaker 4Number two, your name is gonna be written in the Lamb's Book of life, and he's about to transform you.
If you want to receive Jesus.
Three, shoot your hand up all over this place and shoot your hand up.
If you're watching this, I see your hand.
I see your hand, my brother, I see your hand.
Come on, Church, I see your hand.
More than that, God sees your hand.
Glory to God.
You can put your hand down, see you, my brother.
Today the Bible tells us all of Heaven rejoices over one person that gives their life to Christ.
Speaker 2This entire day is worth it just for you, and more than that.
Jesus thought you were worth it, so he.
Speaker 4Took off divinity and put on humanity and came and was born in a barn, and sheeps and goats and pigs were his first audience.
And wise men who are guided by a star came and they dropped their gifts off.
And what you're doing right now is dropping the greatest if you can, into the hands of Jesus your life.
Speaker 2So today, for those.
Speaker 4Who are coming to Christ, we're gonna pray together and that transformation in church.
Speaker 2We're a big family.
Speaker 4We all pray for the benefit of those who are coming to Christ.
Repeat after me, say God, thank you for crashing in to my life.
Thank you for sending Jesus just for me.
Today, I admit I've sinned, but I repent and I turn to you.
I believe you lived, You've died, and you rose again with all power just so I could live.
Free, Change me, renew me, transform me.
I'm yours in Jesus' names.
Speaker 6Jesus.
Speaker 4Amen, Hey, can we clap all over this place?
Speaker 2Oh?
Come on, Transformation Church?
Speaker 4Can we thank God?
Hallylujah?
Everybody should have got a candle coming into this room.
And if you just made that decision for Jesus, I want you to do two things.
Number one, I want you to text saved to eight two eight two eight two.
If you're watching on TV, if you're watching online, text saved, and we want to send you some information, and then we want to invite you.
Speaker 2To come back.
Speaker 4We won't be here next Sunday, but we'll be here the Sunday after that, but you can watch online and we want we want you to start the year off right in the House of God.
Speaker 2This will be your best year ever.
Speaker 4If it is your best year spiritually, I'm gonna say it one more time because everybody needs to hear this.
This will be your best year.
If it is your best year spiritually, join us for prayer and fasting, make a decision to come to church, make a decision to get in a small group.
Everybody that's here right now.
Church is not just for Easter.
I don't want you to see I want to see you Easter, but I want to see you before Easter because.
Speaker 2Life be happening and we really need each other.
Speaker 4And sometimes you have to be reminded that when Jesus crashes in, that's when everything can change.
Speaker 2If you have your candle.
Speaker 4I wanted to end this service in this way that just as those wise men followed the light and then Jesus said that we were the light of the world.
We're gonna light these candles and we're gonna single a worship song, and.
Speaker 2I just want us to reflect.
Speaker 4I want to make sure that you know that your light matters, like your life matter, like how you live matters.
This is why it matters that Jesus crashed in.
This is why it matters that we don't crash out because your somebody say, my life matters.
Because he went from being the only light to putting his spirit in you.
And he said, the world is getting darker and darker, and so I'm sending.
Speaker 2You into it.
Speaker 4We got to stop running from what we were called too.
We're called to the streets, we're called to the boardrooms.
We're called to entertainment, we're called to education.
We're called and what that means is that we have to make sure we light what God has given us.
Ask my family to come up here.
And as you get lit, and I ain't talking about the lit some of y'all be doing on Saturday nights.
Okay, As you are lit, what happens is you have the ability to light somebody else all over this room.
Come on, family and fathers, you should light.
Your children and mothers.
You should teach them about God.
You should be the ones in your life that hold the standard.
Look at this room.
It's dark everywhere right now.
There's whole sections that aren't lit up.
But I promise you just give it a little time, Just give it a few moments, Just give it somebody stepping outside of their own comfort zone and actually beginning to extend beyond themselves.
And we get to see what it looks like when something gets lit.
This section over here y'all really dark.
But you know what, y'all stay right here.
I'm gonna take my life.
And I know, I know everybody's like, be careful, but sometimes I gotta do what's uncomfortable, and I gotta come to a place where somebody, somebody may not know.
And you know what, as I was moving, my light went out and I got to go to somebody who's lit.
Speaker 2Would you pray for me?
Speaker 4Come on, would you encourage me?
Speaker 2And somebody's like, we can't see it on the screen.
Speaker 4Some of the people you gonna like, you'll never be able to meet them.
There will be some people that you like that you're not gonna be able to instagram it.
There's gonna be some people that you like that nobody's ever going to be able to see the results of it, except what you do is going to make an impact on everybody around you.
Come on, light everybody that's around you.
This is what it looks like to be the light of the world.
It doesn't matter who's on the platform.
Will you light up who you're surrounded by.
It doesn't matter who's famous and how many followers, will you light up who you're around.
And sometime our light tries to go out, And that's what we have to protect, the light that God is placed on the inside of us.
Speaker 2Thank you Lord.
Speaker 4What once was completely dark.
Speaker 2Is now lit up.
Speaker 4For the glory of God.
Transformation Church.
This is not just a Christmas tradition.
This is a picture of every day of our life.
Speaker 3We sing light of the world.
Speaker 4You stepped down into darkness.
Open my eyes, let me see you deed that may this heart o the door.
Oh format.

Speaker 2Today.
Father, we thank you.
Speaker 4For being the light that has come into our life.
Today, God, we ask that anybody who still lives in darkness would allow you to crash in and be the light of their world.
Holy Spirit, forgive us for staying in places that are too dark without turning our light off.
Today we make a commitment that we will never forget what you have done for us.
Speaker 2Jesus.
Speaker 4Thank you, Jesus.
Speaker 3We thank you.
Speaker 4Thank you for coming from heaven to earth to show us the way.
And today is a family.
We declare we will never let our light go out in Jesus' name, Jesus.
Speaker 3Pasor role.

Speaker 7To come lend me hold.
Speaker 6Barn kist Oh come mass udor oh comess had all come, SCRs get one bot time O come mass d oh colas bar.
Speaker 4For he alone is worthy somebody, fools, I feel the presence of God for everybody in the spirit of not burning our hands or this church, would you please blow your candle out physically but not your spiritual candle?
Amen, yep, hey, all over this room as we leave, give me one second to just speak a blessing over you.
I declare, as my family stands up here, and Jia does a ballet dance through the entire thing.
Speaker 6You did.
Speaker 2Great baby.
Speaker 4Who knows she might be up here dancing one day.
What I want you to know is that we're a real family, and not just this family, but this family like our family has everything.
Your family has crazy, cussing all of it.
Speaker 2Not our children cussing.
Well, they young still say you never know.
Speaker 4The reason I'm saying this is because I don't want us to think that we get to a place of perfection where we don't still need God.
Speaker 2We still need God.
Speaker 4Today.
I want to speak a blessing over you that as you go out from this place, that God.
Speaker 2Would give you his peace, that He would be the God that is with you.
Speaker 4Would you lift your hands all over this place if you can't, Father, I pray for this beautiful church here in the room and online, and I thank you Father God that you brought us all here together.
Come on, baby, hold my head, yeah, come on, hold me, hold me you know what?
Speaker 3Yeah?
Speaker 2Father, I thank you, I thank you that I don't crash out at the end.
Speaker 4Of this.
Speaker 2Message.
Speaker 4God, we just thank you that you are with us, and you knew everything that we would deal with.
And so I speak a blessing over every person under the sound of my voice.
Speaker 2Bless their going in.
Speaker 4And coming out, Bless their families generationally.
Speaker 2I thank you that this Christmas.
