Steve Schmidt: Trump Will Start The Next World War

Episode Transcript

Speaker 1

Do you know what I think the most beautiful word in all the English languages is the word that Donald Trump has never heard.

Speaker 2

It's no and O spelled no.

Speaker 1

Tragically, it's a concept he doesn't understand.

And because for eleven years time Donald Trump has not heard the word no, the American Republic is on fire.

It is Thursday, January the fifteenth.

I'm Steve Schmidt.

This is the warning.

There is no more putrid or weaker man in a nation of three hundred and thirty million people than the disgraceful, feckless weakling who is Speaker of the House.

Mike Johnson a religious nut who believes men's brains are like waffles and that's why they're so good at compartmentalizing, while women's brains are like spaghetti and red sauce, which is why the ladies are so scattered.

Speaker 2

Of course, when it.

Speaker 1

Comes to neuroscience, remember your source.

Mike Johnson is a man who believes dinosaurs and people were chasing each other around when the world was created ten thousand short years ago.

Speaker 2

Mike Johnson is.

Speaker 1

The type of maga politician who has grown very comfortable looking into a camera and telling you that what you are seeing is not what you are seeing.

MAGA has produced hundreds of Baghdad Bob imitators.

He's my all time favorite propagandist.

Saddam Hussein, spokesperson who stood at the Baghdad airport as American tanks rolled by and said, the Americans are not at the airport.

Speaker 2

Mike Johnson is Bagdad Bob.

Speaker 1

Donald Trump has threatened to attack the Kingdom of Denmark and start a war against NATO for over a year.

When Mike Johnson, the Speaker of the House, is asked a question about it, what he says is it's a democratic hoax.

Speaker 3

Do you think the President and his team at the White House should state explicitly that the concept of a military takeover of Greenland is off the tube.

Speaker 4

I don't think anybody is considering that.

I mean, it's it's not been in any briefing I've been in, and I go to all of them.

Speaker 1

Okay, it's not This is not a I think this is a media narrative that's been created.

Speaker 2

I do.

Speaker 1

And the gold goes to Mike Johnson for lying to the American people.

Let's go to the Danish Defense minister.

Let's see what he has to say.

About the dispute that could bring horror to the United States at the level that most of our fellow citizens just do not comprehend.

Speaker 4

But it's not that I'm now, you know, saying everything is solved.

Speaker 2

It's not self.

Speaker 4

We didn't manage, but I honestly speaking, I didn't believe that that was doable.

We didn't manage to change the American position.

It's clear that the President has this wish of conquering over Greenland.

We made it very very clear that this is not in the interest of the Kingdom.

There's a government in Greenland with support from three quarters of the Greenlandic population.

The Premier made it very very clear yesterday that Greenland for the time being and for super future will remain within the Kingdom of Denmark.

And therefore this is a common position that we want to work with our American friends and allies.

But it must be a respectful corporation and it must respect the red lines.

Speaker 1

But if you have a son and here's a young man you care about in your life, or if you're a young man, know this, whatever your plans may be when Donald Trump attacks them, your future involves being in the army.

Speaker 2

Here's Trump talking about Greenland.

Speaker 5

Right now, it sounds like you were saying that you would potentially acquire Greenland by force.

That would be a NATO country the United or are you saying would.

Speaker 6

You do now?

You're saying that.

Now you're telling me that that's what I'm going to do.

You don't know what I'm going to do, so your network doesn't know.

Speaker 5

The Danish foreig Ad minister said that there's still fundamental differences after the meeting with Rubio and with the Vice President.

Speaker 2

Are you willing to.

Speaker 5

Leave the NATO alliance in order to get what you want with Greenland?

What are the options?

Speaker 6

Rightly, I wouldn't be telling you what I'm willing to do.

Certainly I'm going to give up options.

But it's very important.

Greenland is very important for the national security, including of Denmark.

Speaker 2

Here's the deal.

Speaker 1

Let me explain what will happen, and this is the warning and I hope you understand it.

Germany, Norway, Denmark and France are all deploying troops to Greenland to be ready to fire out an American invader.

At the exact moment, the Russians are assaulting Kiev and the Iranian regime is teetering.

Donald Trump is a chaos agent.

Do not believe the maglas about Europe being weak and not having a military.

Europe has a potent military and a powerful enough military that it could do incredible damage to life.

Speaker 2

In these United States.

Speaker 1

Nobody wins the type of war that Donald Trump is talking about instigating.

Speaker 2

Nobody.

Speaker 1

It will bring horror and it will bring suffering.

The Canadians will stand with the Europeans, and that will bring war to North American soil for the first time and well over one hundred and fifty years.

Speaker 2

And war between Canada and the United.

Speaker 1

States will instagatest civil war within America's borders.

Things truly will fall apart.

Now here's the great danger.

Imagine if Spain came and said, we want Florida back, what is it that we would expect an American president to say, Surely, to God, we would tell them no.

Donald Trump has no standing to demand Danish territory.

Donald Trump has no standing to extort NATO, to extort Denmark.

Speaker 2

There is no negotiation to be had.

Speaker 1

But whether it's the Congress in America, whether it's the Prime Minister of Denmark or some other prime minister, nobody seems to understand that by negotiating something that is not negotiable, you're falling into the trap that European leaders fell into when Adolph Hitler came knocking on their door making demands about things.

Speaker 2

That never should have been negotiated.

Greenland belongs to Denmark.

Speaker 1

Donald Trump's lust for it does not open a negotiation.

The only word that matters here is no, and there is nothing else to talk about after that word.

But nobody, nobody, from the Speaker of the House to Chuck Schumer, to HAKEM.

Jeffries to the Defense minister from Denmark obviously feels comfortable saying it no golf Donald's no.

There's a lot of different ways to deliver, and that my advice is to try them all.

And this is the warning.

I'm Steve Schmidt.
