CEO of Discover Puerto Rico, Brad Dean, has his roots in Myrtle Beach, where he helped grow the tourism industry, increasing the number of annual visitors from 11 million to 20 million during his time there. The success of his efforts was recognized with multiple awards, including the State of South Carolina’s Order of Palmetto, South Carolina Tourism Association’s Fred Brinkman Award, and the the naming of a street, Brad Dean Way, by the South Carolina Department of Transportation.
