In a welcome move today, Spotify has returned podcast linking tool Podlink to its original developer, Nathan Gathright.

Podlink offers one simple link to a podcast on all platforms.

It launched in August 2018, was purchased by Podsights in February 2021, which was acquired by Spotify a year later.

Gathright has since left Spotify, but the move will make sure that over 1.7 million links to Podlink on the web will keep working.

And we link to other universal links today, including Podfollow, Linkfire and Episodes.fm, which is also by Nathan Gathright, as are the pretty platform logos you'll see in our podcast pages.
