It's Five Friday on October 24th.
I create five articles every Friday for people interested in public sector operations in general and public procurement specifically.
And from time to time I record an audio companion, which is what you're listening to now.
So first, the National Association of State Procurement Officials shares a new piece titled Deploying Data: Lessons from State Procurement Offices, showing how dashboards and analytics are being used for decision making in state procurement.
Second, Tammy Rhymes explores how to shorten time from requisition to award in a piece for Planet Bids, looking at how to improve the end state by improving the inputs.
Third, Baredan Green posts a guest article titled Public Innovation Ecosystem for Good, which leverages a global survey including 590 public officials to look at how to close the gap between the desired outcomes of citizens and practice on the ground.
Fourth, ICMA, the International City County Management Association, shares the latest issue of Public Management Magazine, which includes a variety of case studies on local government and how they're taking on big challenges.
And finally, our friend Victor Lemer is running a survey on improving RFPs for future NIGB content.
There's always something new to do in that space, so go participate and have your voice heard.
So this week I was in New Orleans, I still am actually, and attending the NASCA conference, the National Association of State Chief Administrators.
Next week is Civic's anniversary week.
So there'll be content on us and some of our growth path, and looking back at 15 years of service to the public sector.
So I'm looking forward to that.
And with that, have a happy Friday.
