Episode Transcript

[SPEAKER_00]: Hello, hello and welcome back to the show Jackie here and I've been quietly because a lot has been shifting.

[SPEAKER_00]: So this is just a check in episode, a lot's been going on both in my business life and my personal life and today I just wanted to come back and share a little bit behind the scenes so you guys don't think I'm completely off the radar.

[SPEAKER_00]: because if you follow me on social media, Jackie underscores Minski, by the way, if you do DM me, say hello.

[SPEAKER_00]: And if you don't, then you would have no idea what's going on because I post so much in my stories, which is why, if you guys love this podcast, go ahead and follow me on social media, Jackie underscores Minski.

[SPEAKER_00]: So let's talk about what's happening.

[SPEAKER_00]: We're working on a huge, huge, monumental, [SPEAKER_00]: something that I'm beyond excited about because as I've said before, it's all my life's work under one umbrella and it's not just a new look, it's not just like a rebrand with colors, it's a deeper reflection of my mission and message that I'm going to be sharing with the world once we make that announcement.

[SPEAKER_00]: And at the same time, I'm moving, so in between my move, that's been [SPEAKER_00]: I've started homeschooling my son.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now when I say homeschool people, oh, oh, what's homeschool?

[SPEAKER_00]: It's more like and credited online course where I oversee, so there is more of that structure.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's not per se me teaching the curriculum.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's based on the curriculum that he or anyone would need in order to have credits transfer over should he decide to go back to a regular school.

[SPEAKER_00]: So, I've been homeschooling, online schooling, my son.

[SPEAKER_00]: So, if you can imagine life feels like there's boxes everywhere, new schedules, and there's not much of a routine going on.

[SPEAKER_00]: So, today's mini episode is actually what I'm going to talk to you about.

[SPEAKER_00]: When everything around you feels like it's shifting, it's easy to lose balance.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I did.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now, if you follow me for a while, you know that I've been on a health journey.

[SPEAKER_00]: My food has become my routine.

[SPEAKER_00]: what I eat every day the same day, three hard boiled eggs for breakfast, salmon for lunch, or a beet salad for lunch, and some fruits in the evening.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's just how I eat or I flip the fruits for lunch and the salmon with the beets for dinner.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's literally the same thing over and over, okay?

[SPEAKER_00]: So, even my food has been changing a little bit.

[SPEAKER_00]: I've been having a little bit of a bagel with a little bit of a tuna, okay?

[SPEAKER_00]: So, [SPEAKER_00]: my routines of balance.

[SPEAKER_00]: So if you're listening and you understand it's easy to lose your balance.

[SPEAKER_00]: But here's what I've been practicing and I want to pass on to you in today's mini drop because I don't want you guys to feel like I'm not coming back as I am.

[SPEAKER_00]: First, anchor to your non-negotiables.

[SPEAKER_00]: For me, since it was food, [SPEAKER_00]: And I had to just understand if I have a bagel in the morning, the rest of the day, I have to go right back to drinking my herb teas and eating my healthy proteins and my veggies.

[SPEAKER_00]: So anchor to your non-negotiables would be number one when your routine starts to get a little crazy.

[SPEAKER_00]: And second, break big goals into tiny steps.

[SPEAKER_00]: So with so much happening, I can't do everything in one day, but I can do one important thing.

[SPEAKER_00]: So if I know my son has an online course, [SPEAKER_00]: we work around certain things to make sure that we sign on to the live class and we get it done.

[SPEAKER_00]: Right.

[SPEAKER_00]: So I structure big things and I break them up into tiny steps and that really helps my schedule instead of the overwhelmed.

[SPEAKER_00]: And finally, this is the one that I've been kind of going with the most allow yourself to flow because routines look different during transitions.

[SPEAKER_00]: Balance is definitely not about perfection you guys.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's about adjusting without losing yourself and this is why number one Is the most important for all these three anchor to your non-negotiables?

[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, really like hone in and focus on that like what are your non-negotiables?

[SPEAKER_00]: Is it working out?

[SPEAKER_00]: Is it eating clean?

[SPEAKER_00]: Is it you know filming a podcast you know what is it for me because I have so much going on [SPEAKER_00]: and I didn't put it under the non-negotiable list.

[SPEAKER_00]: So I slacked, right?

[SPEAKER_00]: But my health is still intact.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'm still eating good.

[SPEAKER_00]: Even if I have one meal that throws me off, I go right back to my non-negotiables, right?

[SPEAKER_00]: So I really want you guys to figure out what are your non-negotiables in the season of your life because when we announced the rebrand in a couple of weeks, the podcast and the new, [SPEAKER_00]: venture will be at the top of my priorities of the non-negotiables, whereas in my season right now, during this transition, it has fallen a little behind.

[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so know what season of life you're in, set goals, three, six months, and attack your non-negotiables, even during little transitions, a move, you know, maybe your kids have went to school, maybe you're back to school, right?

[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe listening to a podcast once a day is one of your non-negotiables.

[SPEAKER_00]: It could be simple things if you're someone who's still in school yourself.

[SPEAKER_00]: So think of that.

[SPEAKER_00]: If you're going through a season of change, whether it's moving, shifting careers, or stepping into anything new, remember that balance is not found in doing everything, and not blaming yourself for not doing everything, but staying rooted in what matters most.

[SPEAKER_00]: I can't wait to come back full swing and share more with you about the re-brand and what's coming next.

[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you for being here with me through every season you guys.

[SPEAKER_00]: And again, if you do not follow me on social media yet, my Instagram is Jackie under Scorminsky.

[SPEAKER_00]: And as always, I love you guys.
