DiBardino and Baston discuss their study entitled “The Use of Thoracic Ultrasound to Predict Transudative and Exudative Pleural Effusion”. Their work aimed to determine if the imaging characteristics of thoracic ultrasound effectively differentiate between transudative and exudative pleural fluid.
