Oh, Penny, Penny, Penny.
First of all, I love the name Penny.
I feel like I don't hear that a lot these days.
Good morning, good morning.
So I know you've had probably some better times because you are contacting us, because you're having some trouble in the dating scene.
Speaker 2Yeah.
Yeah, and I feel I just I can't believe I'm calling in.
I feel like kind of a loser.
Speaker 3No, a loser.
You're not a loser at all.
It actually happens all the time, Penny, so don't worry about it.
Unfortunately, it happens all the time.
Tell us how you met Abraham.
Speaker 2Okay, so, Abraham and I met on Hinge, and I've been on Hinge for such a long time.
I'm I'm like super picky, and I turned on most offers that I get not like sound.
I don't know, you know, I'm just like super picky and like if I get a bad vibe, like I don't go out with them.
But I felt like Abraham was different, you know, like I thought there was something potential with us.
Speaker 4Okay, well, how did the date go?
And like, were there any like weird vibes at the dinner?
How was everything there?
Speaker 2I thought?
I don't know, like I was like really hungry that day, and I might have like eaten more than usual, you know, I like ate everything, and then like I ended up ordering dessert eating that too, and I was like, did I eat too much?
Did I like gross them out?
Speaker 1Treat yourself?
Speaker 5Yeah?
Speaker 4Yeah that's right, man.
Did you just be in yourself?
I respect a member of the clean Plate Club.
That's a great club to be in, right there.
Thank you, it's respectable.
Speaker 2Yeah, yeah, thanks, I thought so.
I don't know, maybe he didn't like it or I don't know, like, oh oh, we did have like some weird moment where like Abraham got this pasta and it turns out he didn't like it, and so he didn't finish and I was like, you should send it back and he's like, no, it's fine.
That was kind of weird.
Speaker 1I'm one of those people I get so uncomfortable sending food back.
I'm like, it's fine, even if the waiter comes over, I'll be like, it was great, best meal I've ever had.
Yeah, yeah, this just makes me so uncomfortable.
Speaker 3I was like a lame reason to go somebody, like just because you said for him to send it back, right, Like did he stop talking to you right away?
Speaker 2Well kind of, it wasn't like right after the date.
I don't like, we talked after that and then there was nothing, and I just wanted some closure, and I don't know, like when the when the waiter came back, I said that that Abraham didn't like the food, and then we did get it taken off the bill.
So maybe I was like kind of too pushy about that.
Speaker 3Oh man, yeah, after I said no.
Speaker 2So I don't know.
Speaker 4All right, Well, I don't know, Abraham mc collin.
Try to get some answers for you.
Sound good?
Speaker 2Yeah, thank you, all.
Speaker 4Right, we'll do that.
Coming up next at eight thirty seven.
For ninety three q's second Date.
Speaker 1Update, Penny and Abraham went out to dinner for their first date.
Penny really enjoyed herself.
She loved the food she got dessert.
Abraham, on the other hand, didn't like his dish, but he wasn't going to say much to the white staff until Penny insisted.
Is that where it went wrong?
I don't like confrontation.
I'm going to find out right now.
A second date update.
Speaker 4Hey is this Abraham?
Yeah, Abraham, it's his rigs.
Caitlin and Erica from ninety three Q here in Houston.
Speaker 6So cool.
Hey, what's going on, guys?
Speaker 4What's up?
Speaker 2Man?
Speaker 6I love it?
Thanks for calling.
Did I win something?
I listened to the show all the time.
Speaker 3Okay, so you might have won something, Abraham If yes, Mike, if you end up going on another date with somebody, we will pay for the date.
So that's pretty much winning, right Frey date?
Speaker 1Yeah?
Speaker 6Yeah, I mean yeah, I guess sure, who's the date with?
Is with you?
Because I'm down?
So she's married, so that's awkward.
Speaker 3My husband is mean too.
So you actually already know her.
Her name is Penny.
Speaker 6Oh yeah, yeah, I remember Penny.
Yeah.
She she's the one I have to take out again.
Speaker 1That is right.
That's how second date update works because she's the one that called us about you.
So what's wrong with Penny?
Was she pushy about sending food back?
Speaker 6Well?
Man, so well, I mean, like the food was fine, she was definitely pushy about, you know, sending it back.
It was that was a little weird, But I don't like making a big deal of that stuff.
The food was not that bad.
It was just it was it was the actual date actually, I mean, okay, that was the problem.
Speaker 4Was it like the whole date itself, like the dinner conversation and everything, the.
Speaker 6Literal date she picked, the day we went out, she picked it.
It was this is where it gets crazy.
Speaker 5It was her birthday, her birthday.
Speaker 1What was the big deal there?
Speaker 6Yeah, it was like you was on a.
Speaker 3First day on your birthday.
Speaker 1Was it her birthday weekend or her actual date of birth?
Speaker 6No?
No, No, her literal day, her date of birth.
And she didn't bring it up until halfway into the dinner.
It was.
It was bizarre.
It was totally strange.
That was the real reason.
Speaker 3So she didn't say, like, oh, let's go out on Saturday because that's my birthday.
Like she didn't say that in advance.
Speaker 6No, nothing, Who does that?
I mean that's like you're putting like vice grip type pressure on a birthday.
Speaker 5I can see that.
Speaker 6I mean, I mean like that's like this.
And then so she's talking about it, server overhears it.
He comes out after the dinner with one of those you know, sparkler cakes that you bring to like an eight year old and sang happy birthday.
Speaker 5It was like the girl sparkler work.
Speaker 4Can we can we bring Penny?
Can we talk about to her about this.
Speaker 6And yes, please bring her on Penny.
Speaker 4Are you there?
Speaker 2Yeah?
Hi, Hey, Abraham.
So that's that's why, that's why you haven't called me back?
Speaker 6Yes, really, yes, yeah?
I mean don't you have friends or family you want to celebrate your birthday with?
And then why would you pay a first day on your birthday and then drop it on me halfway to the day.
Speaker 4I just didn't think it was a big deal.
Speaker 2And I just I worked during the week and maybe I was on a Saturday, and like we had already scheduled like so many times that I just I didn't think it was a big deal.
Speaker 6Then just say something about it being your birthday.
I mean, like they came out and they sang you you looked up at him.
Speaker 2Like you did.
Speaker 5Was I was trying to be polite.
That was like that was really embarrassing to me too, And like you talking about my birthday like I don't, I don't make a beat, Like I'm in my forties.
It's like, what's the birthday?
It's not that big of a deal.
I just I didn't think of it's an issue.
Speaker 6You were singing along with Listen, it's weird.
It's weird.
I don't have any interesting going on another day with you.
I mean, like definitely not on your not birthday either.
I mean, you're a sweve woman really wants you to to feed or have a boyfriend or whatever you want.
But it's just too weird.
It's just way too weird.
I need that, Like this this is bizarre, Like can I stop now?
Speaker 1I mean, yeah, you can, as long as you're saying you don't want to go on another date, whether it's her birthday or not.
Speaker 6Oh, it's like it's not even a hard past.
It's like an impossibly one percent never going to change global paths.
Way too weird, that a deal, way too weird.
If maybe she told me ahead of time, the fact that she just casually mentioned it was too weird.
She sings along to her birthday.
It's just sorry, I'm done.
Speaker 2Well that like sound like the weirdest thing.
Like I don't, I don't know what I should, Like I didn't.
I don't make a big deal about my birthday, Like I haven't celebrated my birthday since I turned forty, Like I don't.
I honestly don't think it was that big of a deal, that super weird.
Speaker 1I mean, I don't think it's that weird, do you, Eric, it's a little weird.
Speaker 4It's weird that you didn't say something, to say.
Speaker 3Something in advance, or you just don't say anything at all.
Speaker 4By the way, it's my birthday.
I don't really care about it.
Let's not make a big deal of it.
Please don't say anything like that's maybe I.
Speaker 3Think just because he didn't know about it and he was off you know, like he was caught off guard.
He felt like there was pressure on him.
But I feel like you kind of put that on himself as well.
Speaker 2Yeah, that's yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 6I don't know.
Speaker 2Thanks guys, thank you for trying.
I'm just I'm glad he answered and I got some I got some answers.
I don't know if that was.
Speaker 6It was.
Speaker 5Happy birthday.
Speaker 6Thank you,
