Welcome this morning to Second Date update our friend Trey.
Good morning, Tray morning, everybody.
Morning man.
So tell us how did you meet Kayla?
Speaker 2Yeah, I mean pretty typical nowadays.
I met kaylaon Hinge.
You know, we just started chatting as you do on those and things are going okay.
So we decided to, you know, start talking about maybe going out on a date up in Woodlands.
Speaker 1Nice.
Speaker 3Okay, that sounds sweet enough.
Tell us about the date where you went, how it went, all the good stuff.
Speaker 2So we ended up going to this place called for wine and pizza.
Just a nice, nice casual night.
Speaker 4You know, all right, So try I got to ask you the million dollar question, what do you think went wrong on the date?
Like, can you think of anything that you maybe said to drive her away?
Speaker 2I mean, honestly, I'm not sure what happened.
I do listen to Second Date updates, so I know that there's always you know, an other side to the story and potentially gets left out.
But if I'm being honest, I don't understand.
You know, a few minutes late to pick her up, there's a wreck on the six tens, but you know, as it goes, But I let her know she didn't say that she was upset about it, but I know that how that goes.
Speaker 3Yeah, I was gonna say, you sure about that, because sometimes as the date's happening, it's like, oh, no big deal, But in the back of her mind she's thinking, oh, this guy's he's already got problems with being on time.
Speaker 4He knows Houston.
Speaker 2I mean no, not really though.
I mean we had to go to a few different places because I just didn't have a reservation, you know.
The fourth place was the Charmer.
So I guess there's a couple of things to be upset about, but I didn't really think it was going to be an issue.
Speaker 1All right, Well, we can give her a call and find out why she's not calling.
But if you're holding something back, we're gonna have words.
Speaker 2Yep, that's it.
Listen, I get that.
Speaker 5That's fine, Okay, perfect, all right, Trey.
Speaker 3Well we're going to try and help you out.
Coming up at seven thirty seven, we're gonna get Kayla on the line with second date update.
Speaker 4Trey and Kayla went on a date, And let's just be honest.
If you're late to a date, that's probably why you're not getting a callback, right or did something else happen?
Let's find out now on Second Date update.
Speaker 3Hello, Hi man, please speak with Kayla this morning.
Speaker 6This is she iess you say this morning?
Speaker 3Hi Kayla, No need to sound so terrified.
This is Riggs, Caitlin and Eric on ninety three Q the radio station.
Speaker 1Good morning.
Speaker 6Oh oh hi, good morning.
Speaker 2What's up?
Speaker 5How we're good?
Speaker 6How are you?
I'm doing good?
Are you calling for Caitlyn can't lose?
Speaker 1We are not.
People think we're calling for that.
I'm sorry, No, we're actually calling for an entirely different reason.
Speaker 6Oh god, is second date?
Speaker 4Yes?
Great, it is second date to update.
Speaker 5See.
Speaker 4I know you're a smart woman, but why are you ghosting people?
Speaker 2Kaylah?
Speaker 6Yeah?
Speaker 2Uh?
Speaker 1Ghost think people?
Speaker 6What do you mean by that?
Speaker 1Did would you go on a date with a guy named Trey recently?
Does that ring any bells?
Speaker 4Huh?
Speaker 2Oh?
Yeah?
Speaker 6That guy?
Why is he going to confess about what he was doing at every place we went on a day?
Speaker 3Well, he mentioned there were no reservations made.
Y'all had to try a few different places.
Is that what you mean by every single place y'all went?
Speaker 6Well, every place we went he packed in a handicapped spot.
Speaker 3Oh, I can already tell by your tone.
Is this going to be one of those things where you think he was using a handicapped spot even though he shouldn't have been.
Speaker 6Right, Well, that's the thing.
He's a young guy and he gets around just fine, So this just seems a little strange to me for him to be using a placeguard.
Speaker 4People have those for different reasons.
Did you ask him about it?
Speaker 6I did, but he got like super invasive weird about it and said it was from a past injury and that it expires in the fall.
But I'm just not buying it.
Speaker 1Well, before we jumped to any conclusions, I mean, not all handicaps are visible.
Did he mention like maybe a surgery or something that he.
Speaker 6Had No, he kept saying it was an injury and you don't want to talk about it.
But like, I know a liar when I see one, So I just kept to myself and stayed plight the whole time and honestly didn't even look like a real place card.
I think he just uses it to part closer.
Speaker 3Okay, Well, we've got Trey on the line.
I mean, it is kind of hard to acquire those things unless it is not real, Like you said, can we bring him on to explain himself.
Speaker 2Oh, this ought to be good.
Speaker 6Yeah, let's let's hear what you get for himself.
Speaker 4Trey, are you comfortable telling us about why you have the handicapped placard in your car?
Speaker 2Take?
Hey, guys, yeah, I don't mind telling you.
I didn't really realize that it was a big deal to Kayla and I.
I mean, I usually don't bring this up on first dates.
Speaker 6Oh, go ahead, tell us your mystery injury.
Speaker 2Tray.
Well, you know, two years ago, I was in a car accident.
I was definitely stuck in the car for anywhere from three to five hours, and it ended up being so bad that they had to take one of my legs from the die down, so I got a prosthetic.
I'm pretty self conscious about it.
I sure don't want a pity party, so you know, I try not to bring it up for a while when I meet anybody.
Speaker 5Wow, I don't think any of us were expecting that.
Speaker 3And like I said, we don't want to give you a pity party.
It's just I think we're trying to soak it all in shocking.
Speaker 6Tray, I'm so sorry.
I mean, I guess I never thought about it, and you want completely normal and it doesn't look like there's anything wrong with you at all.
And I thought you were honestly using someone else's past or something, and you were just so dodgy when I asked you, And why don't you just tell me?
Speaker 2Well, you know, it's something you get self conscious about when you only have one leg.
And I don't really like to tell anybody until I've gotten to know them a little bit.
I mean, I've definitely been on dates wearing like a pair of shorts and certainly never heard back from those people.
So it's it's just something i'd try to time.
Speaker 6Yeah, I get that, but I don't want you to feel that way around me.
And honestly, my uncle was in Desert Storm and he lost his arm in the war, so I'm familiar with prosthetics.
And I just feel like such an for letting this get the best of me.
And I'm really sorry.
Speaker 2I mean, you know, it happens.
I'd say, don't worry too much about.
Speaker 3It, Okay, Well, Kayla in light of this new information, and Trey is obviously his mood is, Hey, it happens, don't worry too much.
Do you guys think y'all can make a second date work here?
Speaker 6Well, I honestly would love to, but I feel like I need to leave it up to Tray and I'm the one who almost screwed up this whole thing.
So would you like to give it another.
Speaker 2I'd love to.
I thought we had a really good time together, and you know, don't worry about the judgment.
It just happens, and you know I can tell your remorse and I'm sure not gonna hold it against you.
Speaker 4Yes, yes, okay, hold on YouTube.
We're gonna get your info and make sure that we put the bill for your next date.
Speaker 5Okay, yes, uh.
Speaker 2No, guys, that's really not necessary, like I really don't want any no.
Speaker 5No, no, no, that's how this works.
Speaker 1Yeah, second date updates, how we insist.
So hold on the phone.
We'll get your info.
We will totally pay for the second date, all right, guys.
Speaker 6Thanks guys,
