[SPEAKER_00]: Um, so actually the first thing I did was I, um, I went to go find the guy you really like Arcade.

like the most comfortable with them uh...

they seem to be the people that are talking the least crazy not loving that they're temporarily allied with uh...

[SPEAKER_00]: a lead a Legion they have a Legion air in their camp right now um not loving that um but uh but i genuinely uh at this moment in time uh big fan so i like him so far um also love that he's just sort of like a uh doctor that yeah is [SPEAKER_00]: killer at first fault.

[SPEAKER_00]: People are dying around me without me even trying in a way that Boone Boone was not really pulling his way.

[SPEAKER_00]: I've realized our kid get and it's just is just taken taken people out for me and it's great.

[SPEAKER_00]: So I did that.

[SPEAKER_00]: Explore it a little bit more of free side while I was there too because I did realize that because that building where you [SPEAKER_00]: Uh, that place where you find him, like, is so unassuming and I like to look at it, is that like it's kind of like a blind I totally missed it.

[SPEAKER_02]: It is the worst thing.

[SPEAKER_02]: And it's kind of the worst experience about this game is because I had to use a lot of like older textures, because they were just borrowing them and stuff.

[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of big things hide.

[SPEAKER_02]: Just by blending into the background and looking the same as everything else.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: So that I spent just spent more time in FreeSight because I just realized that I clearly missed a lot of it and I like FreeSight a lot, I think it's a really interesting place to be this like kind of shitty ass town right outside of the nicest place in the area like and it's just like a riddled with crime and is the worst people ever.

[SPEAKER_00]: And in exploring around there.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I forget who I talked to, uh, but I unlocked Edie's second, uh, dialogue thing, um, which was fun and interesting.

[SPEAKER_00]: So we got another dialogue from from Edie another, uh, like, log entry that, uh, yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: And then, um, I was just sort of wandering around, um, [SPEAKER_00]: for a bit trying just just kind of trying up my fighting skills a little bit because I've spent a lot of this game leveling up a lot of like science and [SPEAKER_00]: um repair and and all of that stuff.

[SPEAKER_00]: So I was like just trying to get some beef to my combat skills and uh and then eventually uh one minute, I look back behind me and eat it's like, hold up.

[SPEAKER_00]: I guess I'm gonna say um and uh senior night Lorenzo of the Brotherhood of Steel comes on and talks to me directly live through E.

Whoa Have you not done this or are you just being I don't know I don't I don't have E.D You don't like forgotten I've forgotten most of E.D's things uh if I've ever done E.D actually I don't even know if I've done E.D before [SPEAKER_00]: Um, so this was cool, uh, he says he wants to examine a ED for any data that the brotherhood can use, um, and asks for us to bring it to, like, their, one of their surface patrol areas.

[SPEAKER_00]: Um, and the only reason that April cut him off is because I accidentally went to the Hidden Valley bunker for no reason once, uh, like weeks ago.

[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, so that was just sort of like a fun coincidence is that like I got this option, um, Anyway, I decided.

[SPEAKER_00]: to bring ED to the followers of the apocalypse to get upgraded, which is fun, but I haven't got in her back yet, so you sure.

[SPEAKER_00]: she's getting upgraded.

[SPEAKER_00]: Um, so then I was wandering around and this is, uh, again, not another, another thing that I did not do on purpose, um, but wandering around, um, I ran into Neil, uh, and Neil stopped me and it's like, hey, don't go this way.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's [SPEAKER_00]: why and and he was like there's a terrible woman dab of the we hate her we hate her she's melted um and i had a high enough speech to be like well [SPEAKER_00]: why don't you help me and i'll just take her out no big deal and he's like fine meet me up at the road um this took me a couple tries just very tough map confusion wise i think we're the thing uh like i could like he told me to meet him at [SPEAKER_00]: some entrance first or go directly into town and whichever way I went I seem to get shot at either way so I didn't I could not replace it right thing.

[SPEAKER_02]: Swarming with Superman's it took me ages and a lot of deaths and reloads to get through this area yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: But eventually, I just sort of trusted the process and went through and fought my way through.

[SPEAKER_00]: And then I ran into Neil, he did a thing where he ran into the town and was like, intruder, I read, I was like, I don't know, that's his plan, it's the like cause of distraction.

[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, whatever, then he was like, all right, you got it from here and I was like, what, all right, fine, I guess.

[SPEAKER_00]: Um, so fought through all of these night can now here's where this was such a huge surprise and pleasantly a surprise to me is that killing my way through the Superman Mutants has not been too bad.

[SPEAKER_00]: Arcade Ganon is killing a lot of them to be quite on for me, but I am doing my share and pulling my [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if you recall this, but this isn't, I don't think I've said this on the podcast.

[SPEAKER_00]: This is my new plan because I am still so bad at guns, I'm not good at them.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I can't get past the Legion to get to the area that I want to get to.

[SPEAKER_00]: My new plan is Plain Bowers, so now I have, I have like seven or eight Flamethrowers.

[SPEAKER_00]: and like a whole supply of like clean throw containers, the fusion containers.

[SPEAKER_00]: So that is my new plan, my new strategy, I've stocked up.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm fucking a flame thrower my way through.

[SPEAKER_02]: I am running solo on all addictive medication to purchase from other people that I'm genuinely struggling to get through some, some, just [SPEAKER_02]: count as, quote unquote, dumb.

[SPEAKER_02]: I get the dumb mechanic, which is if you have three or less intelligence, you can [SPEAKER_02]: get unique dialogue options purely because you're fucking stupid, um, like, oh my god, yeah, which, uh, which is like a thing with this, isn't it?

[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't get the option because I did not figure out the satellite thing, but I read that there was an option where, yeah, that's cool.

[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_02]: So this is actually the second, uh, the second time this mechanic has come up and [SPEAKER_02]: Um, so I, it did to mental, it did to alcohol, it did to medics now, which is a damage resistance thing and addicted to a damage buff.

[SPEAKER_02]: So when all of these, when all of these come off, I get.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I'm also so stupid irradiated.

[SPEAKER_02]: That's also affecting a lot of my stats.

[SPEAKER_02]: So when I get like addiction withdrawals, I get fucked so hard that a bunch of my stats like go below five.

[SPEAKER_02]: I'm really I'm hobbling around.

[SPEAKER_02]: I can barely talk.

[SPEAKER_02]: I can barely think I'm so slow.

[SPEAKER_02]: And I refuse to pay people to just free me of all of my addictions.

[SPEAKER_02]: Um, I Eventually because of my orbital cannon that I armed, I have found a fun way where I sneak into a position.

[SPEAKER_02]: I wait for a bunch of them to group up and then I target the orbital laser on them and I'm killing like [SPEAKER_00]: 10 guys in one single shot and they don't know where I came from and then I'm leaving and I'm waiting 24 hours to my gun to recharge and then I'm coming back to take you have one show every 24 hours Yeah, my thing is I now let Arcade get in shoot at them and get all the aggro and as soon as they're all pointing at him I run around the giant older and stab them from behind That's my that's good [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: So I snuck around, did have to kill a few nightkin, but that's fine because then I got stealth boys, which is really good because it's up to your stealth by a bunch.

[SPEAKER_02]: Killed her in killing her, you kind of give the go ahead for everyone to leave, and then I found a bunch of computers that talk about [SPEAKER_02]: uh...

a guy called Marcus who is uh...

a companion in fallout to uh...

he is a super mutant i don't know that is the mayor of a town which is crazy because fall at one super means these big dumb guys who are like [SPEAKER_02]: the villains.

[SPEAKER_02]: And then in Fallout 2, they are still the villains, but you meet Marcus, who's like the mayor of a town of humans of people, and it's really weird, and then you can like convince him to join you when you make the town good enough, really like Marcus.

[SPEAKER_02]: He is also in this game because he has traveled from Reno down here to Vegas.

[SPEAKER_02]: he set up Black Mountain radio and then Tabitha took it over as they all went off to Jacob's town which is his town and they're all calling him like pretentious and telling them what bossing them all around and telling what to do because he is a very big pacifist isn't the right word but he he kind of acts pseudo like that so in Fallout 2 it's hard to get him not only on your team but also to like [SPEAKER_02]: have him stay on your team because you have to do a lot of things that he agrees with, which is a lot of passive, you know, be a good guy.

[SPEAKER_02]: So it's fun in this that they've kind of continued that story.

[SPEAKER_02]: I then left Black Mountain.

[SPEAKER_02]: for a while I was looking at oh and then it also read a bunch of stuff about this guy roll who's staying i was like oh that's a companion great he's around here looked around for a bit i was like i'm fucking i can't i cannot tell you where this guy is and then left ended up googling it and i was like oh he is there he's in the one building i didn't check even though i thought i did cool sick and then i went back and i found him did you like leave and come back before killing tab of the kit is that something you can do [SPEAKER_02]: I I killed Tabatha then left and then I came back then you did it.

[SPEAKER_02]: She had an argument, because I'm not going to spoil what happens, that she had an argument with someone.

[SPEAKER_02]: And then I did a couple of kind of morally gray options.

[SPEAKER_02]: I ended up getting her exiled from the brotherhood of Steel.

[SPEAKER_02]: Because there's ways to have her reintegrate into the brotherhood of Steel, but I got her exiled.

[SPEAKER_02]: We then got hunted.

[SPEAKER_02]: She went back to Lucky 38.

[SPEAKER_02]: I picked up Archie Ganon.

[SPEAKER_02]: I picked a Raul, I picked a Cassidy, who I immediately took the vangraphs and she was immediately executed by the vangraphs.

[SPEAKER_02]: Um, oh my god.

[SPEAKER_02]: I, and then...

[SPEAKER_02]: Things kind of happened I killed Mr.

House.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh my god.

[SPEAKER_02]: I killed Mr.

House, which I was I actually I did it and then I felt bad and I reloaded it because I like that guy I don't like the guy he's horrendous.

[SPEAKER_02]: I like the character so much and I was still unsure of kind of what angle I wanted to hit so I reloaded I did a bunch of other stuff and then I was like fine [SPEAKER_02]: I'll do this to House.

[SPEAKER_02]: I was sneaking into all of their rooms and I was stealing all of their key cards and ended up making a self-destruct for the base.

[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, sprinting out.

[SPEAKER_02]: the bass blew up.

[SPEAKER_02]: Veronica Furious.

[SPEAKER_02]: Um, I then I went to Caesar's Legion.

[SPEAKER_02]: He's like, hey, so I've done it.

[SPEAKER_02]: I've killed Mr.

House.

[SPEAKER_02]: Caesar was like, fuck yeah, nice good job.

[SPEAKER_02]: I need you to go get the boomers on our side.

[SPEAKER_02]: And I was like, already done it.

[SPEAKER_02]: And he was like hell yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: And then he starts screaming.

[SPEAKER_02]: full screaming in the middle of the conversation.

[SPEAKER_02]: And then he's like, and then he stops and he's like, okay, I actually think we're done here.

[SPEAKER_02]: Um, and if you had a high enough medicine check, which I do have, you can say, uh, you just had a seizure.

[SPEAKER_02]: And he's like, no, no, I didn't.

[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, I know I didn't.

[SPEAKER_02]: And he's like, yeah, and, uh, uh, and then starts drooling and making unintelligible noises.

[SPEAKER_02]: And because I had a high enough medicine, I was like, can we talk in the back room?

[SPEAKER_02]: and he's like sure and you walk in and you're like so you've have a you have a problem in your head right you have a you have a problem and then he agreed he's like yeah I do and you talked to him about it and he's like and then you're like you have a brain tumour oh my god and you need to operate now and he's like I it's started like I started getting headaches a few months ago and it's progressively getting worse to where he's actively having seizures in the middle of conversations and all this shit [SPEAKER_02]: And he's like, I need medical supplies and I didn't have high enough medicine for this.

[SPEAKER_02]: Um, because you can say, I can perform surgery, um, but what I, as I didn't have high enough medicine to agree to perform surgery, but I did have enough speech to pretend I knew how to, oh my god, surgery, you were playing the worst man ever, and I knew that, then I went, I bought a bunch of medical supplies, I came back.

[SPEAKER_02]: and he had fully passed out and he has not woken up yet and then you get rushed into his bedroom and they're like okay it's time to operate and you can either do nothing and just be like I can't operate on this guy he's my son or you can say I you so there's one of three options [SPEAKER_02]: If you don't have high enough medicine, you'd 85 medicine to be able to successfully do surgery.

[SPEAKER_02]: You can have seven or more luck that I do have and hope that it works.

[SPEAKER_02]: Or as you're performing surgery, you can kill him and just pretend it was part of the procedure and there's nothing you could do is out of my hands He died in the middle of surgery.

[SPEAKER_02]: You kill him in surgery by stabbing the scalpel into his brain.

[SPEAKER_02]: Sure And then [SPEAKER_02]: and then all of the, uh, and then you get yelled at by the Legion.

[SPEAKER_02]: They go to kill you and you can pass a very high speech tech to be like, he was in the middle of surgery.

[SPEAKER_02]: He was going to die with this, this just type of stuff happens and then they're like, you are correct.

[SPEAKER_02]: And then you start getting, and then a new Caesar is named, um, by the, uh, by his second and command, he takes over.

[SPEAKER_02]: He then goes to name a second in command and then the the the storyline continues Which is a storyline that you don't get unless you do Legion storyline so you can Holy be a villain do Legion and then [SPEAKER_02]: Kill the main guy by just pretending to be on his team.

[SPEAKER_02]: The whole time, you can literally be a spy, but I think it's fucking awesome.

[SPEAKER_00]: That is really fucking cool.

[SPEAKER_02]: It's really fucking cool.

[SPEAKER_02]: I have two saves.

[SPEAKER_02]: I've jumped over a lot of stuff.

[SPEAKER_02]: I have, I saved his life with Mike with an incredibly high luck check, or I kill him on the operating table, because he doesn't allow any of the Legion to allow any drugs in their area at all.

[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, and all the fact that there's no drugs allowed in and out of the facility Um And he's scared about getting caught sooner or later, but what if the guy just fucking died then maybe the second in command They'll let me not care as much about it.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and I can't decide if he's like loyal to Caesar and it's or not not loyal But scared of Caesar and what the things he's gonna do or is like I need my fucking fix in this guy won't let me get [SPEAKER_02]: to get hit.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, that kind of, I, yeah, I get it.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: Um, maybe it was a part of like a, like a kind of heap, you know, Jake's an evil guy in a shithead, but he's not evil.

[SPEAKER_02]: I actually, I bought, I, there was a bunch of slaves that that the Legion had and I bought them two free them.

[SPEAKER_02]: I sent them back to the followers of the apocalypse.

[SPEAKER_02]: Um, [SPEAKER_02]: because he was like, that's crazy.

[SPEAKER_02]: I don't want that's it's this that's objectively evil.

[SPEAKER_02]: That's horrific.

[SPEAKER_02]: I can't have a look at slaves there.

[SPEAKER_02]: So then bought a bunch of slaves and then freed them.

[SPEAKER_02]: But he's still, but he's still, he's still so scared.

[SPEAKER_02]: He's scared of what the Legion are going to do.

[SPEAKER_02]: So he's still working with them.

[SPEAKER_02]: And it's kind of weighing on him, I have this.

[SPEAKER_02]: But then he's also executing entire bases of people.

[SPEAKER_02]: He's blowing things up and, you know, because he blew a bunch of shit up and then got fucking loads of money for it.

[SPEAKER_02]: And then he's using that money to fund his addiction.

[SPEAKER_02]: And it's like, what?

[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, like, kind of where I want his story to be.

[SPEAKER_00]: this is why my what him killing him on the operating table makes sense to me because he's not evil.

[SPEAKER_00]: He will just do whatever is going to be best for him.

[SPEAKER_00]: It was from a falling boulder that hit me while I was trying to climb up Black Mountain.

[SPEAKER_00]: I looked up a giant fucking boulder immediately landed on a ace and I was like, wow, okay.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's never happened before anywhere else in this game.

[SPEAKER_00]: I had no reason to think that that was stuck up as crazy than I could have run into right now.

[SPEAKER_02]: If I everyone that you buy, uh, but they're like five grand, um, but I had a bunch of money because I just killed a bunch of people.

[SPEAKER_02]: Um, so I uped my intelligence because I thought that if a guy is, if a guy is this like, [SPEAKER_02]: freaking out about stuff.

[SPEAKER_02]: He's probably going to up his intelligence and some of the things.

[SPEAKER_02]: But I thought that was pretty fun.

[SPEAKER_02]: There's a lot of weird robot stuff around there, but it's cool I liked it.

[SPEAKER_02]: I would actually, if you're, if you're doing, um, stuff, I don't know specifically what you want to do, but the brother to steal bunker has, it's very light, but they talk about a character who is a primary character in a dead money.

[SPEAKER_02]: Um, these next four weeks are going to be the longest amount of game that we're going to be plugging in, um, um, uh, just so, just to like, [SPEAKER_02]: give you the knowledge like if you're like this is fine.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's like it's like long, but it's like you're once you're in this DLC, you're on like a track to do your kind of a shit.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's like there's a very few missions that long it's with the [SPEAKER_02]: dead money is so atmospheric it's so dead money is their horror one all very sore trap it's like a horror heist which I think is really cool it's about the Sierra Marjorie which is one of my favorite locations and fall out um it's just in this DLC it's it's all weird horror sci-fi and a guy fucking maniac is forcing you to do this heist all of the companions are deeply fucked up [SPEAKER_02]: Um, it's cool.

[SPEAKER_02]: Not all.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: Some of them are deeply fucked up.

[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, my two favorites are deeply fucked up, uh, naturally, naturally.

[SPEAKER_02]: Um, but it's really cool.

[SPEAKER_02]: There is a really sad bit about the DLC that it relates to Veronica specifically really bad, but you can't do anything with that relation, which I'm a bit.

[SPEAKER_02]: sad about like they reference her and they talk about her and she talks about them but you can never get them to like meet in a way that's like upsetting yeah it's cool though it's against my favorite DLC one of my favorite is a full time um i think maybe it's because of like i'd never one of the first DLCs that i like i plighted ever [SPEAKER_02]: And I was like, wow, this is the type of stuff, this is, it's like a mini game, um, it's like a 10 hour, really cool horror experience in this, in this other, otherwise open world game, still a little open world, but really hemmed in, um, it's cool, I think you may have seen me play a little bit out at last time I was in Brooklyn because I before we started doing fallout.

[SPEAKER_02]: I was playing full on New Vegas casually and I was on Dead Money and I love that DLC so much.

[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, well, I'm excited.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'm excited to try and see what DLC's in this game look like because I think DLC's in like Skyrim are very integrated into the game.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's like they just become a part of kind of like the world as you're playing.

[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm excited to see how they do DLC's.

[SPEAKER_02]: I'm putting a lot of hopes on this.

[SPEAKER_02]: I really think you're going to dig it.

[SPEAKER_02]: It's a small, like, insulated story in a different place.

[SPEAKER_02]: Like, each of them are a small, insulated stories in different places.

[SPEAKER_02]: Right.

[SPEAKER_02]: Doing like a tenth of, if that, of the map of like the main map, with a bunch of still fun things to come across and find, and [SPEAKER_02]: Um, did money just suffer a little bit from hard to navigate, um, I mean, that's probably to me, like, I mean, that's just kind of what that's just a whole game.

[SPEAKER_00]: Like this in general, so like, I'll get over it.

[SPEAKER_02]: uh we have two games which are uh which are currently being uh crowd funded on back a kit um we're both really proud of them.

[SPEAKER_02]: I really I love Dylan so much.

[SPEAKER_02]: I think this this game that they made they made all's fair is just truly it's like it's such an encompassing thing that I get I said this on we did a uh talk of the table [SPEAKER_02]: Um, only Dylan could make this game.

[SPEAKER_02]: Um, and it's, it's, it's really, I'm truly so proud of them for doing it.

[SPEAKER_02]: There's just the most, the world's just greatest person ever.

[SPEAKER_02]: Um, and I really cannot believe that I may am allowed to...

[SPEAKER_00]: make a game alongside them and I will say Robin's game rise wizard is I think especially after it becomes released and becomes a game that's out in world I think is going to become like one of those games that it's like oh world building games like [SPEAKER_00]: And it's gonna be it's gonna be one of those.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's so fucking good.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's just a great game And you can watch us play it over on one track if you want and you'll be able to listen to it in like a week too [SPEAKER_02]: which is a very exciting uh yeah you're just the best and it's still going it's still going day three we're only on day three baby um and truly like you know i know that there's this fear in in crowdfunding where it's like uh but what if i you know put money toward it and it doesn't come out we've already funded you're buying two games [SPEAKER_02]: Um, you're weighing two games like art as soon as they're available, like you're going to be some of the first people to pick it up, there's things where, um, you know, if we hit certain thresholds, we're going to have more art that we're looking forward to.

[SPEAKER_00]: And like $20, we are getting that stretch goal as of recording.

[SPEAKER_00]: So the art is going to be sick.
