Welcome to Let it Be Easy with Susie Moore.
I just came back from a gorgeous weekend in Palm Beach after attending my friend Kathy Heller's retreat in Boca.
Such incredible souls in that room if you are one of them, I hope we hugged.
What a joy to have been there.
And one thing came up as Kathy was interviewing me that day that I thought, oh my gosh, I have to share this with the pod listeners because it's a quote that I love, but it came to mind that day and I haven't thought about it in a long time.
Here it is, my friends.
So the room was talking about wealth consciousness and selling more and raising our standards and allowing more yes, and abundance and receptivity into our lives, into our lives.
Wonderful, right.
And the quote that I remembered and oh, this is good I remember telling people this when I was a brand new coach in one-on-one sessions in cafes over Skype.
Remember Skype?
When they were talking about wanting to pivot or wanting to create something or do something different or start a new project.
I would share this quote with them Don't ask what the world needs.
Ask what makes you come alive, because the world needs people who come alive.
Let me repeat that Don't ask what the world needs, ask what makes you come alive, because the world needs people who come alive.
Think about it that way.
Think about that just for a second, my friends.
To me, it's perhaps one of the most powerful questions you can ask, because when it comes to pivoting or maybe starting something, we think, okay, what's going to be profitable?
Let me get up my Excel spreadsheet, let me look at all the options and analyze the data and statistics.
Look, there's nothing wrong with that, there's nothing wrong with taking those actions.
But if you come up with an idea that is going to be profitable, for example, but you just do not care about it, do you think you're going to stick with it?
Do you think you're going to be magnetic talking about it?
What makes you come alive cuts through all of the nonsense, all of the options that other people might throw your way.
It cuts through the voices of other people that don't belong in your head anymore.
Because when you feel alive, you're doing what you're meant to be doing.
It's like your inner GPS.
It fuels your clarity, it fuels your impact.
This matters, my friends.
So what is it that makes you come alive?
To me, when I'm alive, time passes really quickly.
I feel like myself.
I don't want to almost eat or drink.
I want to.
I don't want to rest, I just want to stay at it, stay at the thing that I am enjoying.
So, for example, today I've got a call with my friend, ruth and her community speaking about media.
I can't wait.
I love those calls, I love the questions, I love getting people the results that they want and need right now.
That makes me come alive.
So I think to myself do I even walk or do I get to show up, be myself, be fully alive and, as a result, have this abundant experience?
What makes you come alive?
When you're alive, you are at your most magnetic.
It is this surprising, gorgeous link that can float to the surface and attract opportunities to you.
When you are fully self-expressing, when you are being you, when you are not holding back, when you are being authentic, when you are doing aligned work, aliveness is contagious.
It's a gift.
It's a gift to you, it's a gift to the other people around you.
Dm me, let me know.
I'm going to log into Instagram at some point, after taking a couple of months off, and check out all of your responses.
What makes you come alive?
Until tomorrow, my friends so much love and ease.
Hey friend, are you feeling stuck in any area of your life right now?
I've got you.
With over a decade in coaching and a thousand self-help books under my belt, I've refined six journal prompts that I'm giving to you for free that'll help you coach yourself to a better life in just six days.
These are amazing.
If you feel stuck, if you ever battle self-doubt, if you feel restless, if you find goal setting challenging, these prompts are gems in a sea of generic advice.
