I am all in again.

Speaker 2

Oh let's you.

Speaker 3

I am all in again with Scott Patterson and iHeartRadio podcast.

Speaker 4

So we have more special guests here to join Scott.

Who better themselves than the parents of Logan.

So please introduce our make a random applause to help me introduce miss Leanne Hunley and mister Greg Henry.

Speaker 5

Okay, oh yeah.

Speaker 2

One of those.

Speaker 3

Wow.

Speaker 1

Hello, well here they are.

Speaker 2

Parents of Logan Huntsburgers in the house.

Speaker 1

In the house, Okay.

I want to talk about First of all, thank you for joining us.

Speaker 5

Thank you so much pleasure.

Speaker 1

My personal favorite scene of the entire Logan storyline was that dinner, that wacky dinner.

Can you just tell us some stories about that dinner, the rehearsal process, how you discovered it was?

Speaker 3

It was it?

Speaker 1

I know there was no ad libbing allowed, but talk about that a little bit, Greg Forrest, are.

Speaker 2

You talking about the dinner that I missed?

Speaker 1

Yeah?

Speaker 3

I was late late for dinner.

Speaker 2

Yeah, I was late for dinner.

But it was a very eventful dinner.

Speaker 3

Yeah, yes, I was.

I know nobody really likes Shira, but I'm really nice.

Speaker 1

She is we are on the podcast.

Speaker 3

She's delightful, really, but I was telling you on the podcast that I remember filming it at the Doheini Mansion in downtown LA, and that mansion is now run by nuns.

So the day I got there, they gave me a piece of paper that said there will be no swearing on the property, no smoking on the property, no drinking on the property.

And my character had to smoke, so I was very guilty, which worked well for the scene because I was supposed to sneak off behind the curtains and have a cigarette and then pop in and say some more mean stuff to Rory and then pop out again.

And I was a little bit nervous about that.

But it was, Yeah, a very dysfunctional family, I see.

And if Mitch had just shown up, he could have put a lid on it.

Speaker 1

I think, Yeah, I was, I was late late.

Speaker 2

It was over by the time I got it.

Yeah, I want to see.

Speaker 1

What else do you remember about that scene?

You were you were a little bit inebriated.

Speaker 3

Well, you know, Shira, I need a little bit of a prop up here and there.

I just remember that I thought the people they cast as my children were just lovely, and I, for the most part, I felt I was in my element and that's the character they're talking of course.

But it was a lovely introduction to become part of the Gilmore Girls family, I have to say.

And I'm really grateful.

Nice to see everybody here.

Thank you.

Speaker 1

Well, Greg, you're the dad of Mattie Ice as you refer to him.

Speaker 5

Tell us what it's like to work with that.

Speaker 2

Matt Zugri Matty Alphabet is what I call him.

But uh, the kid who was he was just so clear eyed about really all of it.

Uh he was uh, he was young when he got this part, and he was sort of extremely focused but very at ease while he while he while he carried that and uh and we had a great time.

And I sort of watched him pull up and you know, a different brand new sports car each year.

But but he's just a wonderful actor with great heart and great soul.

So it was a real thrill.

Speaker 5

Questions anybody for Greg and Leanne?

Speaker 3

Huh where was a little girl?

Speaker 5

Huh?

Speaker 3

Yay woo.

Speaker 2

Hi were you guys fans of the show before you got cast or did you just walk on to set with these crazy scripts and kind of go, what the heck is this world?

It was the latter for me, I walked on and everybody was nuts, which was good to see and good to be a part of.

Speaker 3

And I too was a newbie when I came to work on it, and it has been a revelation to see how people have really enjoyed watching these to women get through life and go through the experiences with the young men that Rory has dated.

And I'm glad she ended up finally with Logan.

Team Logan, I.

Speaker 2

Have a question.

Speaker 5

I understand that both of you parents have to be very mean sometimes.

Speaker 3

Which one of your favorite lines.

Speaker 1

Favorite lines that you when you were being mean?

Speaker 5

Oh?

Speaker 2

My favorite favorite favorite lines?

Well, and bring a pencil.

You never know when you're going to need a pencil.

It's a good one.

But I think the one that you're all waiting for is you don't got it?

Oh it's tough love got it.

Speaker 3

I'm trying to remember off the top of my head, but I do remember one thing I said to to Logan.

What about that nice other I can't remember her name, that other girl.

She's a fowling girl.

She seems so nice.

Why can't you fall in love with her?

It was kind of the gist of it.

And yeah, it's not very nice to Rory because she's a Gilmore.

Speaker 2

Okay, so my question is, do we feel like Mitchem was right in the end about Rory Mike Drop.

Do we I think he you know, I think he told her what he thought as a newspaper person at that point in time and about what her sort of ambitions were.

But it was, you know, it was colored with the family stuff as well.

So that's a little bit of a mystery to me.

My belief is he was just being tough newspaper guy telling her the truth.

Speaker 4

Way back way back here.

Speaker 2

Okay, his truth as he saw it.

Speaker 3

I'm Harlow.

And what was your favorite character to hang out with like on set?

I?

Speaker 2

You know, on set, I worked mostly with Alexis, and she was reading books all the time, and so she was fun to hang out with.

Speaker 3

I actually have a cute little Alexis story because in my personal wife I go off and I play these golf tournaments and I one of the people I played with was a man named Richard Rowntree, remember him.

He played Shaft And I was flying back on the airplane and her little movie The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants came on the move on the TV or on the movie screen.

And at the end of the movie, I was crying because it was a really sweet moment.

And as I went to use the restroom on the airplane, I went past Richard who was crying.

And so when I came back to set, I said to Alexis, this is what happened.

Richard Rowntree was crying at your movie.

And she said, Shaft twas crying at my movie.

It was really sweet, and I thought she's too young to know who that is, but she did and she was lovely, just lovely.

Speaker 2

Hi, my name is Presley, And I know that there was a lot of cast members and a lot of amazing characters, but this one's for all of you.

Which cast member was most like their character?

Speaker 3

I'm just like Hia.

Speaker 2

Not Oh, I'm.

Speaker 1

Nothing like Luke not even no way, I haven't worn a suit in five years.

Speaker 3

Huge fears huge, like your son?

Speaker 2

Do you?

Speaker 4

Thank sign, thank you, thank you?

Speaker 3

Do you think Rory's carrying Logan's son?

Dun't, dunt, dun.

Speaker 1

You even guessed the gender already said Rory's son Logan's son.

Speaker 3

Is she carrying Logan's son?

Do I like a grandmother to you?

Speaker 5

Oh?

Speaker 3

Yeah?

Speaker 1

Yes, we hope facing that one more.

Speaker 2

Hi, I just wanted to ask about the canteena and the fundraiser.

How many takes it to take for you, for you and Emily to go at it?

Speaker 3

Oh my goodness.

I have to tell you, I have never worked with anybody that could talk that fast and they could get every sentence out.

She was amazing, I mean amazing, and I was dumbstruck.

I literally was just staring at her because and I didn't have that much to say except that I had to have some expressions, and I I was just floored.

I'm very impressed the way people can take this dialogue.

And I know this is the way that's supposed to be with this show, but it wasn't something I was used to this kind of pace at that and Kelly Bishop was just She's extraordinary.

I have to say, it was a real treat to work with her.

Speaker 5

I have to say, all right, Kads, that's going to wrap up this segment.

The Huntsburgers, ladies and gentlemen, you guys, no finer family in the whole Gilmore series.

Speaker 3

There they are.

Speaker 2

Thank you, Greg, thank you, thank you, thank you.

Speaker 5

Okay, thank you sir.

Thanks singing.

Speaker 1
