Speaker 6

Welcome into the Patriots Postgame Show presented by DraftKings.

As you know the final score thirty two thirteen, the Patriots getting another win here in Foxborough, Paparillo, Mike d So, I'm Kwannie Lunis.

Thank you so much for tuning in.

I'm just like highly energized.

I don't I think that's the visiting locker room right side our door, but it sounded like celebration.

I don't know if the Pats walk through there.

I am just energized off of that alone.

Speaker 7

Some of the fans always saw the Browns walking out there.

Speaker 6

Like yeah, I don't think that one was making that noise.

Speaker 1

Yeah, but no great, uh, you know, great atmosphere.

It was an interesting game to me.

It's you know, it started out, like we talked about, the defense kind of let the Cleveland Browns go right down the field and they barely scored again.

Speaker 7

I don't want to say never, because they did.

Speaker 1

But you know, but I thought that the Patriots offense kind of hung in there and they made some big plays in the first half that you know, helped them move the ball a little bit.

But you know, again, it's almost a similar story to what we saw last week.

We're kind of around halftime.

You saw the Patriots think, well, just before it's right around the two minute morning they to get the ball, they're down seven to six, and from that point on field goal, touchdown, touchdown, touchdown, and just like that, the game complexion is completely changed.

So you know, it wasn't easy, Like we didn't think it was going to be for Drake May, but I thought he kind of hung in there.

Credit to the defense for picking them up after that that takeaway, you know, the turnover popped up.

Speaker 7

Again which they had avoided and some weeks.

Speaker 1

So overall kind of what I thought, I mean, I didn't think I see Miles Scarrett be quite that productive.

Speaker 6

That was a bit by the way, despite the five sacks.

Speaker 1

Yeah, that's I mean, you know, just the guy's a beast and it didn't really seem to matter what the Patriots did.

He was going to get his and you know, once the Patriots figured out a way to block him in the red zone and score some touchdowns, that was you know, kind of the difference in the game Patriots are able to pull away.

Speaker 6

I want to have Mary Kay, I would I want to have Mary Kay back to see if he still puts Drake May in his graveyard.

Speaker 7

I'm sure it was a.

Speaker 8

Loss times times five, five times.

As I agree with Mike, I think it was, you know, well largely the way we kind of expected the game to go.

I didn't think the Patriots would be in much trouble in the game.

You know, I didn't expect the turnovers for Cleveland because they haven't turned it over with Dylan Gabriel, and that to me, that you know, basically that led to you know, nine points, the touchdown and then the safety to me, is a turnover beyond that.

I mean, if you you look at it, it's like low twenties to teams.

That's kind of the game that I anticipated montage.

I just continue to come away so impressed with Drake May.

And this was kind of the example where he just he wasn't allowed to get comfortable in the first half.

He's, you know, trying to make some plays and stalling in the red zone, but it didn't He's just undeterred, you know, he just sticks with it, moves around, finds a way to get the ball downfield.

In the second half, make some big plays, and before you know it's halfway through the third quarter of the game's over.

I just so impressed with with May's resiliency and his ability to put the offense on his back.

Speaker 6

And his composure despite at the top of the pregame show, we talked about how scary good this Cleveland defense is, and he looked way more comfortable than expected.

He was he dominated.

Speaker 1

Yeah, well, I mean it's and I love what Paul said, because it's you know, I think a lot of times for young quarterbacks, you get hit and you know Miles Garrett's coming, and it's easy to get sped up and get off time.

Speaker 7

And we've seen that with you know, some of the quarterbacks that have been.

Speaker 8

In in the first started at times in the first half.

That's why I'm so impressed with him that he didn't let that be his sixty minute game.

Speaker 7

Now, I think it's it was hard today for him.

It wasn't.

Speaker 8

It wasn't you know, like all all roses like it's been the last few weeks.

Today they made him work for it, and he showed you that you can make me work for it, I'm going to get it just the same.

Speaker 7

Yeah, some big plays too.

Speaker 1

I mean that's just you know, anytime he's chucking the ball down the field and you know, again that touchdown throw to Booty was another one in a long line of moments this season that has just been like, holy crap, like this kid can put the ball right where it downfield and that you know, again, we just talk about how much that's just such a game changer for Patriots offense that you know, in recent years it was all about execution and you know, eight yards a clip, eight yards a clip that you know, but it's it's those days are gone, and uh, just the ability to finish with touchdowns there and really pull away in that third quarter, I mean, just such credit to the both sides of the ball to come out, you know, get a stop three and out touchdown, interception, touchdown, interception, touchdown.

Speaker 7

It's just that sequence right there, that that was the game.

Speaker 6

Even found time for a trick play later on in the third Drake Maystat's eighteen for twenty four two hundred and eighty two yards.

He hit the over for us and are over unders.

But yeah, overall, very productive performance.

Speaker 7

And continuing to work the ball around too.

Speaker 1

I mean, we'll get into this a little bit with the good, the bad, and the injured, but uh, you know, just it's tough to key on guys, and today was kind of mac Hollins day to have some key catches and some key moments.

But again, every single one of these guys, Austin Hooper, pop, Douglas Digs with the touchdown.

Speaker 7

You know, everybody is contributing with a play.

Speaker 1

And I think that's just a you know, a sign of a good offense that's pretty well balanced and is really you know, starting to settle into this identity.

Speaker 6

Well, you teed it up.

It's time for the good, the bad, and the injured.

Speaker 2

Now it's time for the good.

Speaker 1

Pretty good, it's pretty pretty good.

Speaker 8

The bad what happened?

And the injured?

Ah ah, you are right, guy, Well, no need to break the trends here.

Speaker 6

We have started every week the last few games with Drake May.

Let's continue to talk about his performance.

Speaker 7

Yeah, throw it on him.

Speaker 1

You know, look, I just I liked that there was a little adversity this week, and there was, you know, a bad interception by him, and I think that's worth you know, pointing out that wasn't you know, it wasn't a great throw.

But it goes back for me to paulse point that you didn't blink the fumble.

Speaker 7

You didn't blink again.

Speaker 1

You didn't let yourself get thrown out of this amazing rhythm that you've had.

You haven't been deterred, You've just been delayed.

And he got back to that level in the second half.

Did Paul did he end Did he end up?

Evan was very hoping that he would end the second half with a perfect passer rating, But you know, regardless of those numbers, it was just, you know, he weathered the storm.

Speaker 7

Early on, he took some sacks, he was kind of figured out what they were doing.

Speaker 1

Uh, and then in the middle of that game he did what he's what he's done the last couple of weeks.

Speaker 7

And helped the team pull up.

Speaker 8

Yeah, the third quarter, he just was a different guy.

I don't think it was a great first half for him.

I thought he was a little shaky in the pocket at times, and I thought they had some guys open that he wasn't getting it to.

Some of that was because of the pressure was there too quickly.

Some of that was because I think he was affected by the pressure a little bit.

But the third quarter was was perfection for Drake May.

He continues, as I said, to just put the offense on his back.

You know, they ran the ball.

I mean, Henderson ran the ball a little bit better today, but they really didn't have a tremendous amount of production in traditional you know running situations.

Again, the offense came down to his ability to get the ball down the field and he had another four or five you know, really on point throws down.

Speaker 7

The field today.

Speaker 8

Yeah, it's starting with the one to Hooper, you know at the end of the first half.

I think the scene route to Hooper which gives them the field goal that allows him to take the lead into the break.

Just another really good solid performance for Drake May.

Speaker 6

And last week I jokingly mentioned him being like the oprah of quarterbacks giving all of his receivers touches.

But today was an extension of that, Stefan Diggs finally getting his first TD of the season, that one yarder, but overall just finding the men in the field, targeting them at the right times and just getting everyone some points.

Speaker 1

Yeah, well that's I mean, let's continue in those times.

I would have put Mac Collins up there.

Yes, you know, just a great day for him and I.

Speaker 6

Just it started when he walked into the arena.

Speaker 7

Yeah, as a bishop.

Speaker 6

Ready to go cute it up barefoot.

Speaker 7

He's sure what the meaning is there of the bishop?

I guess urse he is walking diagonally.

Speaker 6

We said he was playing chess and not checkers up there in the press.

Speaker 1

But but this was the Mac Collins we saw a lot this summer, which was Drake May really had a comfort with him.

You know, he's got great size and that's a useful tool for this offense.

Speaker 7

They don't have a receiver like that guy.

Uh.

Speaker 1

You know, the final numbers for him really impressive.

Seven catches on seven targets, eighty nine yards along a twenty one.

Doing some of the dirty work in terms of blocking as well as always he does.

Speaker 7

Uh, so you know it's this week.

Speaker 1

It was his turn to step up, and I just thought he was a you know, really effective receiver.

And really this is I kind of acsected more of this earlier this season because Drake just seemed to like him this summer and looks his way a lot more than he has in those initial weeks.

Speaker 8

Yeah, I agree, it was That's kind of what we saw in training camp, was it seemed like he was a guy that Drake was gonna lean on it.

We haven't really seen it at all.

He was basically the entirety of the passing game today.

I mean, you know, you know, seven catches.

The next closest guy only had three.

So you know, yeah, I agree with Mike.

Big day for Mac Collins, Big Mac.

Speaker 6

Mac, turn Mike.

Who else do you guys have?

Speaker 8

I would go Trevy on Henderson next.

Yeah, you know, ten for seventy five.

I thought, you know, the fans that have been you know, sort of all over Josh McDaniels as if it's been his fault that they haven't been able to get the running game going.

You know, they got a little they got some toss cracks today and uh, he got to the edge.

I thought he ran a little bit more decisively, had a little wiggle to his game, but for the most part, they blocked it up.

Speaker 7

You had twenty seven yard run.

I don't think he was touched on.

Speaker 8

Yeah, you know, so I bet you know ten for seventy five, good solid day, you know.

Unfortunately he ends it with a fumble.

Yep, and you know, that's definitely.

Speaker 7

What you're looking for.

Speaker 8

But I'm gonna take the balance of the game and keep him on my good list.

And you know, I don't want to downplay the fumble like it's like it's meaningless, but I thought he did more good things when the game was on the line, and maybe if the fumble was at a you know, a different juncture of the game, I'd look at it differently.

Speaker 7

Yeah, but you know, I think the rookie showed a flash today.

Speaker 6

Yeah, my list too early on that eighteen year old run that brought them to the Browns twenty four.

It just we talked about the last few weeks as well, getting fast starts, and we talked about the pregame as well, so them being able to have that big jump in the game and really set the momentum despite, like you said, the third was where it really took off.

Speaker 1

Well, just like Hollins, this was a little bit more of the Trevion we saw this summer, a little bit of you know, burst, a little wiggle in space, you know.

And there was a little bit of room for him too, So maybe this is the start of something.

Certainly think they need both those guys, and so it was good to you know, see Henderson touch the ball or at least get ten carries, you know, and Steven Stevenson and I liked him on that third down slant that they ran him on, which I just thought was a good reminder of you know how he's just a really versatile guy even though he's a big guy, looks like a you know, a really down pint of power back.

Stevenson can catch the ball a little bit.

But yeah, I definitely agree with with Henderson.

Good to see him start to get going and hopefully he can continue along those lines.

Speaker 7

Why do you have one?

Speaker 6

Yeah, I had the Well this was not intentional at the beginning, but it is national tight end to day.

I don't know who made that holiday up, but I'll give it to Austin Hooper and Hunter Henry just for their productivity on the field as well, finding the right moments to be productive and relevant I think for this team.

Speaker 7

Yeah, I mean, big play up the team for Hooper.

Speaker 1

That was to me and you know, Henry just a quiet I mean one, you know, one catch for seven yards, but you know with the touchdown.

Speaker 8

But now that that catch actually came in a drive earlier than I thought it was when it was still seven to three.

I thought it was the last drive that kick started the two minute drill.

But just a big play this seven three.

They were kind of they were kind of in a Mayer a little bit at the beginning of the game.

You can see why Cleveland's deep This was like sort of the epitome of what everybody was talking about all week.

They play good defense, their offense gives them no support.

They eventually wear down and you can see the will to play is gone.

You know, you watch Diggs's touchdown, there's absolutely no resistance by Cleveland's defense on that play.

They just kind of allowed him to get off the line.

You can understand what, you know, We've sacked this guy six times and we can't even we can't move the ball.

Speaker 7

Like at some point the damn breaks.

Speaker 6

And we had a caller asked about the concern was for the Patriots whether or not, you know, the offense carrying the defense.

But I think with Cleveland this is very relevant for them of yeah, your defense carried you so far.

They can't do anymore at this point.

Speaker 7

I mean, like there's there's Paul's play right there.

Speaker 8

Yeah, and let's watch thirty seven.

I mean that, I mean, thanks for showing up, you know, and I don't mean to call a guy out, but like you could just see on the on this on the splaying interception in the third quarter, you could see the entire sideline said that's game for Cleveland.

Speaker 7

They're right below us in the press box.

You could just see it.

Speaker 8

The deflation because they were playing reasonable well, they were making they were making the Patriots work for everything that they got until that juncture of the game.

Then Patriots did whatever they wanted.

It's shades of point.

Speaker 1

You know, Patriots teams in recent years that you know sometimes had an oky defense, but you could just tell, like the offense came with the ball and you just you can't put everything on the defense every single drive.

Just one quick point that one Hunter Henry, you know he's just been such a you know, outlet for Drake May to see him have a game where yeah he is a touchdown but still very quiet day by Hunter Henry standards that you know, you're still able to find other guys to pick up the slack, whereas sometimes in.

Speaker 7

The quiet, don't you think as a receiver, I.

Speaker 1

Have to look because he always like he'll have like two touchdowns, four catches, you know, like game weird games like that where yeah, he was effective, but I think he just it's a sign of a good team when you know one of your leading receivers isn't doing as much, other guys are stepping up around him.

Speaker 6

Yeah, another addition to the good list Ballaye.

You mentioned that interception thirty two yard return and also later on in the third he gets that stop that kind of get.

Speaker 7

A hit too.

Speaker 9

Yeah.

Speaker 8

I thought he was more active today plugging holes in the run game.

The interception was a terrible throw by Gabriel, but the run stuffs.

The run stuffs to me today stood out.

There was one in the hole.

I mean again, I know it's Cleveland.

I know they don't have an offense, but they made this is what I was asking for.

I wanted the Patriots defense to make a bad offense look like it was bad.

And after the first drive in a couple of shaky moments, I thought, in the second quarter they just completely shut it down.

The ensuing five drives after the touchdown, the Browns ran nineteen plays for forty three yards with four punts in a missed field goal.

That's the kind of defense I want to see against the terrible offense.

We didn't really see that last week against Tennessee.

We saw it today against Cleveland.

Speaker 7

The runs.

Good to see it at home too.

Run defense, just run defense continues to itself.

It's tough.

Speaker 1

It is tough sledding in there.

They come down hard.

I just I mean, I was mentioning the hit on Spleene.

It's Blaine Field where the whole.

Speaker 8

Press box was like, whoa nine for nineteen for Judkins today before he left game.

Speaker 7

I mean, they got that big shut him down.

Speaker 8

It was a thirty one yard run on trick you know, a trickish play.

Yeah yeah, but you know beyond that, nothing nothing on the ground for for Cleveland and Spallaine, I thought was a big part of that.

I thought, Tonga, you know, unfortunately he uh, you get banged up later in the game.

But I thought Tonga said said a nice tone early on too.

Yeah, those guys were on my good list.

Speaker 6

Bred kersh is here.

We're right, You're right on time for the good list.

I know everything is.

Speaker 7

Good for you.

Speaker 4

Put Drake on already.

Anyone mentioned Gonzo.

Yeah, he had a nice physical game, made some good run stops, a couple of quick uh tackles on short passes to minimize any uh yards after catch.

I thought he had a really strong game.

Speaker 7

Yeah, I agree.

Speaker 1

I think he's starting to look like the old Gonzo to me, he hasn't really yet, Like I just think he's looked a little slow.

Speaker 7

You know, he's giving up a couple of catches.

But you're right.

Speaker 1

I mean he's smooth, but just physical enough coming up with the tackle, could hit wrap up.

I mean you're seeing it right now.

I think he's starting to a round back into form, which is a really good sign.

Speaker 6

Yep for agallis another run on my list for his perfect game.

Yeah, well needed.

Speaker 4

We got our guy.

We got kicker.

Speaker 6

He's good.

Speaker 8

Yeah, well I got I had Jalen Hawkins.

Speaker 4

Pick.

Speaker 8

I mean bin traffic that you know way downfield, one hand able to corral that survived the ground.

I thought that particular play was was worthy of being on the good list.

Speaker 1

I'm glad you said, Paul, I was.

I was going to bring it up.

I talked to Hawkins last week and you know, brought up I think he had two interceptions overturned by penalties earlier in the season.

Speaker 7

I was like, man, you're getting your.

Speaker 1

Hands on the you know, some balls, and he's like, you know, you can tell he was frustrated by those, So big play for him.

Scott Booker, the safety's coach, We've been talking to him too, saying, you know, big thing with him is trying to get more hands on the ball.

Speaker 10

Uh.

Speaker 1

Jalen Hawkins doing I mean, that's just a crazy play.

Crazy play.

I mean you had to look at it multiple times.

Mane and diving interception that's about his ghost gets right there.

Speaker 8

Yeah, I mean that's a terrific play.

So yeah, I thought that play was was good enough play to just buy it by itself be on the on the list.

Marcus Jones I thought had another another really good game early on when Cleveland had some momentum.

He made a really nice play for a little dump off and I think they got like six yards on first down.

Then they had a little swing pass that he comes up and makes a great tackle in the open field for for a loss of two, which sets up a third and long instead in Cleveland can't do that.

So I thought Marcus Jones was active in this game.

He's always a physical tackler, you know, So I thought he was good and that wasn't one of the better plays.

Speaker 6

But in one of his stops that set up the round for a kick that ended up going wide left.

Speaker 8

Which I just don't know what Isaiah Bond was doing on that play for the life of me.

But this isn't Cleveland postgame shows.

Marcus Jones is on my good list.

Speaker 1

He just continues to be sticky and around guys and coverage, and you know, sometimes he's given up some size, sometimes he's given up some catches, but I just he is always there.

Speaker 7

He seems always to be competitive.

Speaker 8

Bond again, Bond right in the one six.

Speaker 7

But he's been just a really impressive season that Marcus Jones.

Speaker 8

I think he's had a nice year.

Yeah, I mean it's only eight games.

We're only halfway coming at the right time.

Speaker 6

This one is a little facetious, but I put Dylan Gabriel because of his intentional grounding towards the end of the game that ended in a safety for the Patriots.

So he contributed to scoring.

Speaker 8

Okay, I think, yeah, I think I had I wanted to, you know, and I hope Chris, if you're listening, you got somebody's plays teed up.

I sent a message to the to the control room after the first time.

The first drive of the second half was the most impressive drive the Patriots have had in about five years.

Wow, just came out of the locker room with a plan to do some different things.

They had some wrinkles that they threw it, threw around this little you know, yeah, you know, toss pitch action to the side and then you're dragging Hunter Henry here is the lead blocker on this side, and you're throwing a pass back to you know, Drake May for a double pass, which I would rather not see that that that like, I'd rather get nineteen yards without him taking a shot in the face.

Speaker 7

But you know, it worked.

Speaker 8

And then they go right down the field and they leak Hunter Henry out for an ice easy touchdown and go from nine to seven to sixteen seven game set match.

Speaker 4

A lot of people were clean.

Speaker 7

One is not coming back from a two school deficit on the road.

Speaker 8

They're not.

They don't have the offense to do it.

That drive, to me was absolutely outstanding.

Josh McDaniels, kudos for going in at halftime and coming up with some wrinkles and every one of them worked.

Speaker 4

A lot of people were praising McDaniels for this drive.

Speaker 7

This was a great drive.

Speaker 6

Lane, all right, welcome in, congratulations.

Speaker 3

Thanks for having me.

Speaker 4

Hey, Robert, great game, A lot of real nice sticks in there.

How did it feel out there?

Speaker 11

Felt great to be on the field with the boys.

Our defense is really meshing coming together.

Well, so I'm proud to be a part of this defense, Robert.

Speaker 1

What did you see on the on the interception there?

And are you still kicking you stuff?

You couldn'tquake get in?

Speaker 8

Uh yeah?

Speaker 11

Third down play covering the running back, he picks up in protection, so I'm able to kind of read the quarterback's eye there, and our rush did a great job getting home forcing throw and I was able to be in the right place at the right time.

Speaker 8

What was the key, Robert?

Today?

I know that coach Rabel has been stressing all week about improving the early down defense and getting getting some long yarded situations that you look at Cleveland at the end of the day two for eleven on third down, So obviously you guys were successful in getting cleaning in some long yarded situations.

What was the key to doing that?

Speaker 11

Stop the run early on first and second down, put them in those passing situations, dedicate extra bodies to the run game, get the run stop at all costs, and force them to play behind the sticks.

And I thought we did a really good job of that today.

Speaker 6

This Patriots team has continued to grow on both sides of the ball.

But for you defensively, what do you think what would you attribute the growth on the defensive end week to week At this point.

Speaker 11

I think it's really us coming together as a team as a defense, not individuals, but eleven as a whole.

I'm really proud of how our d line's been playing, our back end, our safeties, and our linebackers.

So if we could be great on all three levels, there's the sky is the limit for this defense.

Speaker 1

Roberts, just what was it like being back home finally after three on the road.

You get back in front of Patriots fans, you deliver a big win.

I mean, does this just contribute more to the momentum that you guys have rolling right now?

Speaker 11

No doubt.

Patriot Nation came in full force today and they were loud and cheering, and we'd love while that home field advantage.

Being back home is a special place to play here at Jillette, so it's always great to get a win for the fans.

Speaker 6

Well, congratulations again, thank you so much for your time.

Speaker 11

Thank you have a great rest to as right.

Speaker 8

Thank you, Robert.

Yeah, I mean I thought, defensively, this was kind of what we were calling for Mike and the pregame show.

I knew that Drake May and the offense would make some place because I've grown over the last six weeks to expect them to make some place.

And what I didn't know is could the Patriots defense dominate a bad offense?

And today after the first drive, they dominated a bad offense.

That's what I wanted to see.

I would have liked to have seen it a little, you know, right from the start.

But I mean that's like two hundred and thirteen yards two for eleven on third down average gain, you know, to Robert's point.

You just talked about stopping the running early downs four point one yards per play, like that's a really low number, really low number.

We talked about Judgkins earlier, nine carries, nineteen yards.

That was the game plan.

Make sure you stop the run early, getting them behind the chains, and then go and eat.

And they did, and the Browns don't have enough offense to overcome that.

Speaker 1

I just I think I've been skeptical of the run defense a little bit.

Some of it's felt a little circumstantial at times to me.

I don't, you know, want to start the parade going when you're not quite sure.

But I'm really starting just to love how this defense plays against the run and how physical they are, the gang tackling just you know, there's just no space inside.

And you know, and I Judgins a pretty good back.

I mean, he has generated some yards, he's had some you know, some nice games so far.

But man, they just continue to play out of their minds.

And I look forward to seeing some of these, you know, future challenges.

Speaker 7

I don't know, Bucky Irving's gonna be.

Speaker 1

Ready to go in a couple of weeks, you know, but next week it's it's really going to get interesting with the Falcons coming to town, especially if Pennix can't go, and they're gonna lean even more on their running game.

Speaker 4

They're going to lean and they should be upset.

Right.

And what was the final score of that game with Miami?

Speaker 7

It was before to ten Fred.

Speaker 4

Yeah, they were looking ahead to us.

Speaker 7

They had done do you win?

Done?

The Falcons done?

Speaker 6

Done?

Done?

Speaker 7

Yeah, they got buried last week too, they'd done.

Yeah.

Speaker 8

This is another this is an opportunity to really really get some separation among you and the playoff teams in the AFC.

You know, Tampa will take care of itself.

That's a that'll be a test down the road.

But at home against a team banged up like the Falcons that can't win a game, you need you need to take care of business.

Speaker 4

How are their offensive weapons health wise?

Speaker 7

Drake London didn't play today?

Speaker 4

He didn't play.

Speaker 7

Yeah, So you.

Speaker 8

Know they got Robinson who's as talented a back as there is in the league.

Speaker 7

So it's not going to be a picnic, right.

Speaker 8

But if Pennix can't play, and early indications are that he won't, they said he likely will miss next week too.

On the pregame shows, today nationally.

You know, Kirk Cousins twenty one for thirty one for one hundred and seventy three yards, Like they can't move the ball.

Speaker 1

Seems like the game got out of hand to and Bijon had nine carries for twenty five yards.

But I mean they were you know, when the second quarter, they're down seventeen to three, so I mean that's another two for eleven on third down.

They couldn't stay on the field.

And you know two I had one of his games, you know, four touchdowns, no picks, twenty for twenty six.

Miami, Miami, everyone.

Speaker 4

Miami needed that game.

Speaker 6

Yeah, after the last.

Speaker 8

Week, I give them credit because it looked like they were just completely done right with McDaniel.

You know, McDaniel looked like he had lost it, lost the team.

So you know, give them credit.

But you know, this is this is what Atlanta is like, This is you know, Atlanta has ability.

I don't want to This is not Cleveland, this is not Tennessee.

This will be a tougher test than these teams will be these teams were.

But you know we'll get to it next week, you know, in depth for the pregame show.

But this is a team that the Patriots should be able to beat.

Yeah, everybody else is yeps.

I don't thank you.

Speaker 4

Guys probably handled all of them, right.

Speaker 6

Yeah, I had one more.

It was it was minor, but Jared Wilson, Drake May fumbles the ball, he hops on to recover it.

It wasn't like a make the game.

Speaker 7

No offensive lineman on the.

Speaker 6

Anti gave it because I'm like, generally the line would not make the list, but I'm gonna give it a jerk Wilson for that.

Speaker 7

I'm waiting for the for the next gen stuff.

Speaker 1

I'm what the pressure numbers were because you know, again, I mean the guys feeding into the bads, you know, and I look, it's it's on a curve now, but look the first drive, the first defensive drive, you can't you can only talk about it all week, all pregame show, all you know, they're running special drills to get ready, and then it's just kind of more of the same six plays again, more of than ski seems schemed up.

Speaker 7

But it's just so weird.

Speaker 1

Have you ever seen anything like this, Paul, where it's like, yeah, they scheme something up on the first drive, and then after that they're like we don't know.

Speaker 12

What to do, and they don't do anything the rest of the game.

The unique part is just how bad these teams are playing, and they're making them look like they're really well orchestrated.

Like we've Fred and I have seen some bad offenses come in here and just not be able to, you know, put put two feet one foot in front of the other.

Speaker 8

Carolina comes in or marches right down the field.

Tennessee last week on the road goes right down the field.

Cleveland today goes right down the field.

It is uncanny now today the difference was that was it right?

That was it?

It stopped.

Speaker 4

When No Socks does his compilation, he includes Rabel's answers to that because I kind of missed it.

He said something about that those early plays by the Browns that I thought was interesting, and I don't want to give it away.

Speaker 6

That's good TV.

You don't leave Patriot's post game because you're gonna want to hear that.

Yeah, all right, let's get into the bat Like you said.

Speaker 8

Well first that the first drive obviously deserves to be on.

I mean, we got to put the offensive line as a group, you know, Miles Garrett, everybody came in saying they won't let him wreck the game.

Speaker 7

They won't let him.

Speaker 8

Well, you know he didn't wreck the game, but only because Drake may overcame it.

Five sacks, six overall for the for the Browns, a strip sack.

Speaker 7

This is just beating two guys.

Speaker 8

He beat Hunter Henry and yeah and Will Campbell.

I know that that probably won't show up in PFFF on the bad List, and this isn't Listen, Miles Garrett is a tremendous place.

You know, he's going to go to the Hall of Fame for a reason.

But I did not expect it to be that bad.

Speaker 7

I didn't know.

I didn't expect it to be that bad.

Speaker 4

Do you think like I know they chipped him and they but do you think like I don't.

I don't know if they use like max protect for example.

Do you think they just said, look, we're gonna let him do his thing, but we're not going to like sacrifice the whole offense just to stop him.

Speaker 7

Well, they doubled him.

Speaker 8

He beat He beat the doubles, like at least two of the sacks were off doubles, the first and the third.

Speaker 7

And that's the fumble too that he gets through Hunter Henry.

Speaker 8

That was one on us, So that's three if you got through both of them on that play.

Speaker 7

This one is a single.

He's just a good player.

Speaker 8

I mean, I'm not this is not it's not like embarrassing that Miles Garrett had five sacks.

Miles Garrett is a Hall of Fame player.

He is tremendous.

But I just I'm a little surprised that he was able to be that active in the game.

Yeah, and had Cleveland had any semblance of offense, Dada had a lead, Dada had a two score lead.

I mean, like the way that Cleveland started this game.

You get a field goal in the first dRIT then they get on to score a touchdown, they force a three and out, then they can't move because they drop a pass.

Then they get the ball back on the pick and they have another opportunity to make a big play.

Isaiah bond I can't make the catch on the sideline, they miss a field goal like this, all of a sudden, could have been fourteen to three Cleveland, and maybe we're talking about a different game, you know.

And to your point, Mike, like at that point, you know Cleveland's defense has seen this game play out before.

Right, We've given the offense some opportunities and they just can't take advantage of them.

It's it's one of those things, you know.

It's Miles Garrett.

Like you used to say Freddy about Andrew Luck.

You know, he's wasted on the Colts.

Miles Garrett's wasted on the Brons.

Speaker 4

And he was on the sideline.

He was kind of acting that way.

Speaker 7

Oh yeah, I mean you can't blame him.

Speaker 8

Yeah, you go and get five sacks, your team doesn't even have a chance to win the game.

What else is he supposed to do?

Speaker 4

Getting a little bit impatient with this situation, so he deserves to be a patriot.

Speaker 6

I agree, you could just stay here.

They'll make it on a team plate.

He's a beast price ber.

Speaker 1

Yeah, I was gonna mention him, and it's but I just think it's he's so up and down, Like I just that's it's hard to do to bad puns.

Speaker 8

Had sixty one yard of that landed nine yards deep into the end zone.

Speaker 7

That's a terrible punt.

And then the one at the end.

Speaker 8

I think special teams in general today they had three penalties on special teams.

You have a face mask on the first, you know that punt return with Brennan's schooler, and I know he was getting hit in the face at the time, so he's probably frustrated.

And then you allow an onside kick to get recovered again.

I know the game is over.

I know these plays don't matter, but you're going to make a big deal out of Drake May throwing a bomb to Kaishan booty that didn't matter a lick.

So I'm going to make a big deal out of on side kicks that allowed to be recovered in games that don't in plays that don't matter, you got because you got to take it both way.

Speaker 4

You got to maintain the intensity.

Speaker 7

So the special teams today weren't good.

They were not yep.

I don't know what else that much.

Speaker 4

I know, Paul, you were upset at some of the play calling later in the.

Speaker 8

I thought they should have been more cognizant of you know, we have this game in hand, let's get out of here, let's grind out the clock.

Terrell Jennings should have been in the game, I think a series or two earlier than he was, and just grind the clock out and keep Drake May.

Speaker 7

You know healthy.

Speaker 8

He got sacked another time, after I had gone on the rant, he had the twenty eight yard run, and I know there's nobody there, but you don't know there's nobody there, do you know what I'm saying?

Like the way we're watching from the press box and there's nobody chasing them, he does didn't really know that there's no one chasing him, Like he's running around, hesitating in the middle of the field.

I just he's the entirety of.

Speaker 4

The I've never seen someone complain more about a twenty eight yard.

Speaker 8

And that's actually Fred's right.

Fred is absolutely right.

Sometimes he sometimes he exaggerates a little bit.

It's a twenty eight yard game and a fifty point blowout that I don't care about.

It's meaningless to the game.

I just don't want him to get hurt.

He's the entirety of the team right now.

Speaker 4

I was all for it.

Speaker 7

They might be too, and they might be two and six without him.

Speaker 4

Oh yeah, oh yeah.

Speaker 8

Like he's the entirety to me of the team.

I just don't want to see him taking unnecessary hits in games that had well been decided.

Speaker 4

But that one was like, I know, go.

Speaker 6

To the end zone.

Honestly, Yeah, yeah, pretty much.

Speaker 8

Nice graphic, but I will I will say I did not have any real beyond that.

I didn't have anything else on The pass protection was sketchy.

The special teams were sloppy.

Yeah, but that was Yeah, you're gonna have penalties.

Speaker 7

Were a special team.

Speaker 8

Yeah, to be honest, they had a couple of false starts here and there, but.

Speaker 7

Yeah, not on the down list, but just pointing out.

Speaker 1

You know, we noticed Christian Barmore didn't really seem to play maybe the first couple of drives.

Speaker 7

He didn't play in the first quarter, first quarter.

Sometimes that signals something raised an eyebrow to me.

The discipline related, I don't know.

I don't know, so we'll see if anything comes to that.

Maybe maybe Ribbel was asked about that too.

Speaker 1

But uh, the only injury I clocked was was Tonga towards the end that was announced.

Speaker 4

Yeah, somebody said he was jumping around on the sideline afterwards.

Speaker 7

All right, that's great.

Speaker 8

Chase On I had like right foot, he was a little gimpy, but he stayed in the game.

That was in the second quarter.

Yeah, but I think this is another game that I think knock on wood.

I think they came out of it pretty healthy.

Speaker 1

Keep an eye on Tonga though, that's a good sign.

He's jumping around.

Big guys don't jump around.

Speaker 6

Yeah when they're yeah, they're filling it usually.

Gods.

Well, I like that list.

Speaker 8

I mean that might have been was I didn't see it, But was it part of like he's testing the knee.

Speaker 4

No, no, it was like after a play, like jumping up in joy Yeah.

Okay, yeah, oh no, you discount that.

Speaker 7

Yeah, I'm less excited about it.

Speaker 8

I thought I thought they were putting him through a test.

You know, whatever was wrong with he was jumping around.

Quane's probably an athlete.

She knows what I'm talking.

Speaker 6

I can do verticals every day, you know, Like.

Speaker 4

I thought it was part of like, but tests are still jumping.

Speaker 7

Yeah, but I don't.

Speaker 6

Think the essentially testing his vertical right all right.

Speaker 8

Right to the tonga is an underrated important piece of that run defense that that Mike has been.

Speaker 4

To hell, he's been really good.

Speaker 7

Just that they play hard.

I like it.

I really like it a lot.

It's you know, just the swarming to the ball, the group tackling.

Speaker 1

Can feel the intensity off of these guys, you know, hopefully I just it's just it just.

Speaker 7

Doesn't add up.

Though, I'm like, how do you not?

Speaker 1

You guys are so intense, like splaining, he's like a madman out there, But the start of the game they're like, I mean, we can laugh about it now because it's like it hasn't really mattered and it's just been like, wow, the first I was frustrating and then the rest of the game was fine.

Speaker 7

But uh, you know, I'm sure they'll continue to work at it.

Speaker 1

But again, it just speaks to this defense having so many like, yeah, they're awesome except for first drives, like we yeah, all their stats are great except for you know, DV Away, they're not great.

Like you know, there's just these like weird little things that you point out with these guys, and I think I'm looking forward to and we're not going to get as much of a test as we might have hoped next week.

But you know, seeing the Bucks, seeing the biker Mayfield and MVB, you know, Buckyer.

Speaker 8

Those days come back, and you know, if Panics in London are back on the field, then game on next week.

But I just don't see it if those guys don't play.

Speaker 1

Even Bijon, I mean, I'll be interested to see how they how they hold up against him, But again, it seems like it's very dependent on how the game unfolds.

And if you take Bijon out of the game because you have a three touchdown lead, probably the way to go.

Speaker 8

So now today would be one of those days.

Patrick didn't really get much pressure on the passer.

But I wonder if that was by design in all seriousness, just because he's not going to push the ball down, keep it in front of you.

You guys were talking about like Marcus Jones and Gonzales.

You know, Gonzales is best coverage.

Stay with on Jerome Ford like he was tackling him immediately after catching passes.

So I mean, I I like my all pro cornerback and a matchup against the backup running back and you know that that's I wonder if that was part of the game plan today to just sort of give give Gabriel some time.

He's not going to be able to hurt your downfield, keep everything in front, tackle, swum to the ball.

And I thought they did that for the last three plus quarters.

Uh perfectly.

Speaker 7

One perfect I means he can scoot a little bit.

You know, he's not terrible.

Speaker 8

He just you know how like the cliche is, he can make all the throws, he can't make all the throws are we and that's what limits him a little bit?

Speaker 4

Just physically does Hendo make any list?

Speaker 7

It was in the garbage time.

Speaker 6

I know you can't.

Speaker 4

You're not going to discount all those other things in garden, right.

Speaker 8

I didn't discount it, Okay, drama begins.

I didn't discount it.

I didn't absolve of responsibility for losing the ball.

Plus, it was a bad fumble.

It's not like you took not like you took the helmet on the ball.

It was a bad fumble, and I'm not excusing it.

But I think I I counted a little bit less because of the situation.

Speaker 9

Of the game.

Speaker 8

He had a good game otherwise, so I put him on the good list.

But if you want to take him off the good list, I totally understand why, and I wouldn't fight back.

Speaker 4

He doesn't get on a list.

Speaker 8

Yeah, he's on no list because he's on the list, but no listless.

Speaker 4

List yard away from the end zone, like you not.

Speaker 7

Well, he was like three yards away.

The fumble ended up a yard away.

Speaker 8

But but I agree with you, Fred and I wouldn't argue with you on that, Fred coming.

Speaker 7

In, No, right, can't that you can't have that?

Yeah, there it goes punched it out.

Speaker 1

No, I agree, And that's and I was, you know, I'm with you, Fred, like it was.

I was torn because it was just nice to see him find some of that space, find a little of that burst that we've been talking about.

And you know, then he kind of puts this crappy pier day with this.

Speaker 8

I don't want to see you get there watching there and it's it's a bad it's a bad fumble too, and you can see like he doesn't take a you know, a big hit on the.

Speaker 4

Ball on the ball or something, you know.

Speaker 1

I mean I would almost flirt with putting red zone offense on the bad list based on especially early down.

Speaker 7

I mean that's when kind of got his sack.

Speaker 4

Yeah, they finally got the TV.

Speaker 7

Bats play in the red zone right there.

But even then, like did they go three for three in the second half?

They might have if they got there.

I mean the couple of those were, uh, we're longer bombs.

Speaker 8

I mean they got the first touchdown was off the short throw to Henry seven yards.

The second touchdown was a one yard throw me the first two times in the red zone in the second half, it's.

Speaker 7

Just thirty nine then from Booty, so two for two in the second half.

Speaker 8

So all right, you can't score every time, Mike, even even Drake May can't score every time.

Give the guy a brive my Drake along, Leave my Drake along.

Speaker 4

What were Drake's final numbers?

Speaker 8

Eighteen for twenty four for two eighty two and three touchdowns and.

Speaker 4

A pick six in completions.

Speaker 8

Yeah, wow, he was gonna say he only threw twenty four passes thirty five point eight.

Speaker 4

That's unbelievable.

He's going to finish like one twenty.

Speaker 8

For something, and he's going to be in like sixth place, which to me speaks volumes of the league.

Speaker 6

By the way, the crowd MVP chance at one point in the game must be noted Forrederick May, I wrote that down.

An't know.

Speaker 4

I would say he's clearly in the running right now.

Speaker 8

The conversation today, well, if the season ended today, he would be in my top five.

I don't know where he could be one right, but he'd be in my top five.

Speaker 7

Absolutely outstanding.

Speaker 1

I mean, then you just you want to see him get some challenges and start to see, you know.

Speaker 6

Some different hard pare.

Speaker 8

That's what I liked about today.

I don't think he was as good today as he's been the last few weeks because Cleveland made him work for him.

Cleveland made him like I actually had him on the bad list for a while and I ended up not mentioning it because he was so good in the second half.

I had pass protection slash ten pois.

I don't think he handled it really well in the first half.

I thought he was affected by the rush a little bit.

He had some guys open in the first half, and that was kind of one of the things we talked about at halftime, is this guy's open, you just need to give him some time to get him there.

Well, he didn't get that much more time in the second half.

He just got the ball there.

Speaker 3

Man.

Speaker 7

He was better.

Speaker 8

I just I can't say enough about how well he's played, you know, halfway through his second season as a pro.

He just looks so comfortable and confident and everything that he does dominant, just dominant.

You can't This is six straight no, seven straight games with one hundred plus rating, and after the first game, not us not on Patriots unfielded because we're more of a ball knowing crowd ready.

But there were people after the first game and he admittedly looked awful.

He was on all of our bad lists.

In the Raiders game, people were wondering, is he really going to be the guy any different than the guy we saw last year?

Speaker 4

Did Stevenson make your good list?

Speaker 11

No?

Speaker 4

No, were his numbers?

Speaker 7

No, what are you saying?

Carries for thirty four yards?

Speaker 4

Yeah, for average and then catching.

Speaker 7

One catch for fifteen yards.

That was a nice catch and it was the.

Speaker 8

Third down or ran from the nice nice slant.

Speaker 4

Had a nice attempt on that deep ball too.

He just couldn't get it hit.

Speaker 8

They did hit some foul balls.

No, he he's a he's a good receiver, Mike.

I think put it really well Freddy before you came in.

Just the versatility that he brings is a little underrated.

I think he's a great blocker.

He's a great blocker.

He's a good receiver.

He's a hard nosed runner when he holds onto the ball.

And now you know again, knock on wood, you're going a month now to him, no issues to exactly.

Speaker 7

No, he didn't have.

Speaker 8

A lot of production on the ground today, short yardage not able to get.

Speaker 7

But again I don't put that on him getting hit in the backfield.

Speaker 6

Yeah, Mike, you got to email the subject line and says, I love you from Luke and Savannah Georgia.

Speaker 7

I'm sorry.

Did I send that to the show with me?

Speaker 6

I thought that I meant that for me.

Speaker 8

They meant that for me, But to you personally, I got, I appreciate it.

Speaker 4

Bring you back well.

People want to know when you gave the nine quarter early early third.

Speaker 8

Yeah, when they when they scored to make it fourteen six.

Speaker 4

Tell the people, not when it was seven to six.

Speaker 7

No, I didn't think it was over early that first of all, it was seven.

Speaker 4

Six, Yeah, could still give the nod then.

Speaker 8

I could you know what, You're right, because I've done that in the past, not unprecedented.

Speaker 7

I've given the nod.

Speaker 8

Well, But no, I thought once once they got that touchdown, what why am I losing it?

And I was sixteen They made it sixteen seven.

Yeah, they made it sixteen seven.

I said, fourteen six.

That's fortally one out of the sixteen seven.

On the first drive out of the gate, I said.

Speaker 4

A you stopped them, then you drove well.

Speaker 8

I said that they don't.

They don't have the offense to come back from two school deficit, and b Josh figured something out at halftime to work around the pass protection issues, and I thought the game was over at that point.

Speaker 4

He just went wide a lot, just tested them why and it was working.

He's tossed well.

Speaker 8

I think the bigger thing was the passes downfield, like they were able to all of a sudden, it's Hollins for nineteen, It's Booty for thirty nine in a touchdown and pop Douglas gets loose on the at the end of the first half.

That was the one at the end of the first half that that kick started.

That thing was like compared him to the old school Chris Hogan, Like he just suddenly he gets gets down there with a cloak of invisibility.

Speaker 7

No one covers that.

Speaker 8

So I thought those plays I thought turned the tide offensively for the Patriots.

Speaker 4

That one catch he had pop, We thought that just head downfield and he started cutting and he I think he cut down his yards after catch.

I think he could have had could use your speed.

Speaker 8

Yeah, he had a chance to take that if he just stay the numbers and they to them if he stop.

Speaker 4

Yeah, he stopping.

Speaker 8

Guys were doing this all day today, mostly for Cleveland, but there were a couple of Patriots to the guys were just tripping and falling for them.

Speaker 7

He knows.

Speaker 6

I blame those pompoms.

You saw those pompos the field and.

Speaker 8

Kept looking sparkling, actually a flame.

Speaker 4

I thought they were Corky pools, very special dogs.

Speaker 7

Did you have any episode down?

Speaker 6

So by the way, and the press balls, we also attributed the third quarter shift to the Corky Race.

The energy was Cleveland was distracted.

The kickers were supposed to be practicing.

They were watching the Corky Race.

Speaker 7

So maybe dogoun they're supposed to get those things out.

Speaker 8

Cleveland lost their chance to pull off an upset.

They did in the in the end of the first quarter start.

I thought they had an opportunity to move the ball, get.

Speaker 7

In the end zone.

There you go.

Speaker 8

Good job, Tampa, good job.

Oh he's gonna get called back.

Speaker 7

An opportunity.

Speaker 8

I thought they had an opportunity to take a you know, a sizeable lead, you know, maybe maybe even a two score lead, you know, at fourteen three, and they you know, Isaiah Bond, Yeah, I hate to beat up on one guy.

But man, does he look like he's never played receiver.

Speaker 7

I liked him too, I liked him until then.

Oh yeah, he had significant off field problems drafted.

I mean he was going to be probably, you know, a Day two pick.

Speaker 8

And Gonzo completely eliminated Jerry Judy oh from consideration.

Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, he dropped a couple.

Speaker 7

No catches, Yeah to catches I didn't.

Speaker 6

Yeah, embarrassing.

Speaker 1

Bond had Bond and Judy zero catches, six targets, and two of them and all of them hit the receiver, especially the.

Speaker 7

One music you know, hit you in the belly button.

Speaker 6

He's got to.

Speaker 8

Catch it, Like I get it.

Sometimes you you have your hands on the ball and the guy comes in and rakes it free and you don't catch it.

But like Bond had one hit him right in the one on the deep ball which came after the turnover that they had a chance to make it fourteen to three.

There always got to do is put his foot in the ground and come back for the ball.

And the worst that's going to happen is he's going to get an interference penalty because Marcus Jones was well out of position on that play.

Instead he floats, He back pedals and floats in the air and jumps, which allows Marcus to wisely just carry him out of bounds.

Even if he caught it, he wouldn't have been in bound, just stand there, just no field awareness at all.

Yeah, yeah, but a good job.

I mean the Patriots defense again, we were calling for it, Mike.

Speaker 7

Make them look bad.

They made him look bad.

Speaker 6

They understood this.

Speaker 7

Baby steps, baby steps, They.

Speaker 6

Listened to you, Paul, keep talking.

All right, we're getting calls, we're getting emails, so let's get to some of them.

Let's start in England where Mark is obi his accent?

Speaker 9

Hi, Mark, Hi, could you hear me?

Okay?

Speaker 6

Oh an accent?

I hear you?

Wonderful?

Speaker 8

Are you here?

Speaker 4

Mark?

Speaker 7

Are the boys in town?

Speaker 3

No?

Speaker 9

I have a longtime, longtime listener, A few time callers now, if you don't mind.

At the beginning of the week, everybody said that this would be a make or break for Drake.

This is like, you know, this is number one defense in the NFL.

I'd just like to think, does everybody think he passed that test?

And more importantly, this one's sort of a little bit more for Paul.

Paul is one of the guys in the UK that we call like a leveler.

I'm one of these that when I see a game like that, I think we're going to playoffs and I think we're going to win the super Bowl.

But Paul brings me back down.

But then I go and watch what he says that he's absolutely right.

Does he now think that we are absolutely capable of having a playoff run at least?

Or are we just a team that's going to make the playoffs?

Speaker 7

And I thought he was talking about his friend Paul.

Speaker 6

No, you're the leveler Mart.

He keepsys level two.

By the way, I.

Speaker 8

Thought this was a playoff team weeks ago.

These teams are not capable of beating Drake May.

Drake May has ascended to a level that these teams can't handle.

But I didn't think this was like a make or break game for we go four and five.

Speaker 4

The rest of the way, we have ten wins.

Speaker 8

Yes, yeah, the guy talk about los your mentality.

Speaker 4

I'm just saying the odds are that we're gonna have double do I do.

Speaker 8

I think they're a threat in the AFC.

I haven't seen that yet, but that's not their fault.

I just haven't seen them play good teams.

I saw them play one good team.

They passed that test, they played well against Buffalo.

So but I just.

Speaker 4

Need who's the team that like you're afraid of in the AF.

Speaker 8

I'm not afraid of anybody, That's what I'm saying.

But that doesn't mean I think that Patriots are better than Kansas City, Baltimore, Cincinnati, saying that you know whoever, Like Buffalo, these teams can't play with.

Speaker 4

The paper, but it's pretty wide open.

Speaker 7

It is pretty wide open.

Speaker 8

Yes, so you have to go by who you think is better, who who you think has better players.

Speaker 4

It's a good year for a rebuilding team, goodyear to have this schedule.

Speaker 1

Yeah, you guys want some some pressure stats from next gen that are up.

Speaker 7

We would love if you'll start with the offensive line.

Speaker 1

Uh so Will Campbell they have him credit with five pressures, three sacks, Wilson four pressures, one sack, Moses three pressures, one sack, Bradbury one pressure.

Speaker 7

No sacks, and Mike can win you one pressure, no sacks.

So yeah, Austin, it seems light.

Speaker 8

It does seem light, and it doesn't even seem like it added up to six sacks.

Speaker 1

And to be honest, I mean, if you buy the pressure rate in that stuff, they have the Patriots with a better pressure rate than the Browns, which you know, It's just it doesn't really add up to me.

Speaker 8

Can I ask a question as to how when?

And this might explain something to me.

This is why I don't necessarily adhere to any of these numbers.

Do they consider pressure?

Like, let's say the guy stands back there, Let's say the pass protection is absolutely perfect, and the guy stands back there for like eight seconds and exaggerate on purpose, and there's nobody.

He has a perfect pocket for eight seconds and he doesn't find anybody, and he holds the ball, holds the ball, holds the ball, and then all of a sudden, the guy breaks through when he throws it.

While guys, does that go down as a pressure It shouldn't.

Speaker 4

It might, but it shouldn't.

Speaker 8

Because that's the only pressure I saw at Cleveland be under today.

And like I said, I think it was by design.

I think they said, Dylan Gabriel can't hurt us.

We're going to rush for We're not going to do any stunting.

We're not going to really get after him.

I don't even think he was pressured on the.

Speaker 4

Safety, Noah, and you didn't like we've seen a lot of you know, a secondary rush, you know, blitzes from the Patriots.

Speaker 8

I don't think that's, like I said, I think it was by design.

I don't think they they respected the Cleveland passing game.

I don't think they respected Gabriel's ability to hurt them.

And they they sat back a little bit and it worked.

Speaker 7

Yeah, it worked.

Yeah, it seems like a heavy zone plan.

Speaker 1

Not a lot of you know, just basically ran rush four almost the whole time, three to Russian five for reps of Russian six.

Speaker 7

So I mean, yeah, I think it backs up what you're saying, Paul.

Speaker 1

It's just, you know, I regardless of the pressure, because this is next gen, so it's all based on like the things in your pads and how close she gets.

Speaker 7

So I mean it's not like someone was grading this out.

Speaker 8

And that's why I'm saying, like they're not taking into consideration how long it took for the pressure to get there, just how close the guy was when he threw the ball.

Speaker 1

Right, Yeah, I mean you have to take it all over the grin and salt.

I would just say that even with the pressure they're not affecting the quarterback.

And that was I think Mike Rabel's point this week of we've got to find ways to affect the quarterback.

And you know, again, I think that's where some of the problems are lying.

Like even when they're getting some pressure, it's not really affecting the quarterback.

Speaker 7

So I think it's a big area to try to do.

Speaker 4

You think a pressure should have to happen within four seconds.

Speaker 1

Four seconds, Yeah, that sounds about right, I mean because at that point nobody can block forever, cover forever.

Speaker 3

Right.

Speaker 6

Did you guys feel like they were intentional today, especially considering Gabriel does not have the talent.

Speaker 4

Yeah, you thought they were.

Absolutely.

That's what Paul saying is, you know, let's not go crazy trying to get to him because why he's not going to Yeah, I.

Speaker 6

Don't get that.

Speaker 4

Don't let him hurt us.

Speaker 7

Yeah, there's just a lot of zone.

Speaker 1

And you know it was and again though, you know, we think Gabriel was okay against the pressure, I mean not great, but they've got him as you know, nine to sixteen touchdown interception.

Speaker 6

I mean he was you know, the numbers or it's more than more than the numbers.

Speaker 1

Meanwhile, Drake was fifteen of eighteen with no pressure for a perfect passer rating and three touchdowns.

So you know, if I'm going to play the Patriots, I'm like, you gotta find a way to affect this.

We've got to get to Trail and we got to get to him because he's uh, he's on fire.

Speaker 6

All right.

Well, we have so much more to cover, including some locker room sound podium sound as well, So stick around here for the Patriots post game show presented by DraftKings.

Autodesk Construction Cloud is a platform trusted by contractors, owners, and our New England Patriots to design and build the next legacy.

Speaker 7

And guys, what about you?

Speaker 1

But I feel like we are watching the next legacy emerge right now in Drake May, the quarterback.

I was gonna say Travion Henderson, he had a kind of a good game today.

I think that was something to build off of, but Fred said no, he's the boss, so we got to go with Drake.

Speaker 7

But Drake May, what to run?

Speaker 1

This kid is on He's playing out of his mind.

Played against a tough defense today stood Tall got sacked a few times by Miles Garrett.

But man, this is not just about building this season.

This is about building a real legacy for this Patriots team, and I think Drake May is the guy to do it the way he's playing right now.

Speaker 7

Patriots are back in the mix.

Speaker 6

I don't know if you guys follow the Celtics when they kept saying Jason Tatum's only nineteen, I think we should start the Drake May's only twenty three.

Speaker 7

He's only twenty three.

Speaker 6

It's very impressive to see.

Speaker 1

I mean, I don't know what start.

This is seven plus however, many last modern medicine.

Speaker 4

We could have him here for the next twenty years.

Speaker 7

That sounds good to me.

Speaker 1

Fred, And you know, I don't know if any of us will still be around at that point, but man, it would be a great.

Speaker 7

Run for the Patriots if he's able to play absolutely twenty years.

Speaker 8

So, Drake May, we know I won't have any other jobs.

Speaker 7

Well, will you in on your wheelchair?

It only gets everybody else jobs.

He ignores me.

Like I said, all right, you're gonna be the bearer of some good postgames.

Sound I hope.

Speaker 7

I think it was pretty good.

Speaker 17

First of all, before we get into it, what's the vibe in here?

Ladies and gentlemen, hi row, look at them go.

Speaker 1

Yes, continued to be I think we're general sentiment impressed with just Drake may taking, you know, having a little bit of a flat start and dealing with some pressure and some sacks and hanging strong and.

Speaker 7

Coming through in the third quarter.

Went back to Berserker road and here we are.

Speaker 17

So he probably texts you, Mike, and probably would I think he sits next to Fred, so he probably doesn't need a text Fred, but just you know.

So Paul texts me in the middle of the game about an idea that he had for Chris Judge, who does a great job rolling the video and in the postgame show, and I say, yeah, great idea, we'll take care of we had a couple of record problems.

And then I texted him back.

I said, Hey, just a thought for post game.

You know, how about the evolution of this team that you're eight games into the mic raabel era and it's six thirty three left to go in the third quarter, game's over, Like that's how far they've come.

Do you think Paul would text back like, oh, yeah, maybe we should talk about that.

Speaker 7

Of course not.

I mean, I know it's a me thing.

He just doesn't text me.

Speaker 8

But did I text you with the idea and Chris, by the way, executed it to progress?

Speaker 7

Of course he did.

Speaker 8

He had all the plays that I was thinking about when we talked about him.

Speaker 7

That was a specific item that I put on.

Speaker 4

The good leg you know, like you didn't like Matt's idea, No.

Speaker 7

I just is that is that?

Speaker 8

Is that not an evolution of the Let me ask you are you surprised that the Patriots won this game going away?

Speaker 7

It's six thirty.

Speaker 8

Were you surprised that they won the went the half?

Yeah?

Speaker 7

Really it was a rock fight, which everybody said it was going to be rock.

Speaker 8

Fighting, and it wasn't a rock fight.

I thought they would blow him out.

I thought that they the Browns might get it.

Speaker 4

Never said that they blow them out.

Speaker 8

I thought that blowout is strong.

I thought that they would have the game in control and that the Browns would score last and get a back round.

We did say that it would never be in question.

Speaker 4

We did say that it would It would good possibility.

It would be a close game that you're never worried about.

Speaker 7

That's what I thought.

Speaker 4

Yeah, and it was.

Speaker 7

That's what it was for the half.

Speaker 8

That's what the game was period like, it was never in doubt.

Speaker 4

Yeah ever yeah, okay, uh.

Speaker 7

So let's let's go to the post game.

Speaker 17

Let's go to the post game, and here from Mike Grabel, who I think if you listen here a little bit, there was a little news maybe that came out of the coach's mouth in the middle of his postgame press conference.

Speaker 18

You know, sometimes it's going to be like that.

A lot of times in this league.

It's going to be like that.

And you know, we've had other games and they asked me about starting fast, and you know, again, we'll try to continue to work on that.

And but I'm also proud of the totality of this of the team, and I know there's so much more to improve.

But we we got stops in the second half, and we and we scored touchdowns and that's what the difference in the game was.

But it was also the way we finished the first half, you know.

But by getting to stop and going down there and you know, making a huge gain.

We didn't convert, but we were able to move the ball down there into a field goal range, and Andy and that operation was able to take advantage of it and go into.

Speaker 3

The halftime with the lead.

Speaker 18

Taking advantage of the turnovers is huge.

Certainly one on third down there was played and then the long one there that that halcats.

So we got to take care of the ball better and continue to find opportunities.

They hadn't turned it over, and then when their gimmick plays ran out, I thought we played pretty good defense.

Speaker 1

Trick was sacks six times today but still finishes with two eighty and three touchdown.

Speaker 3

Just how impressed were you with his resolve as this game went.

Speaker 18

On, everybody's resolve and you know, again would like to have the sacks, but again and we got to get the ball out on time and understand who it is that we're dealing with you.

But I don't think that, you know, as long as we're keeping them clean and not you know, some vicious hits.

And we have to be able to be better in that regard.

But you know, I think when you when we give them time to throw, it's it's pretty good.

And it's good to see us hit a couple of X plays and h but we knew that that was going to be a challenge with this front and then the way that they played, and certainly with with Miles Garrett committing two people to them and I'm still you know, affecting the quarterback.

It's obviously impressive.

Speaker 1

It's your thoughts on Miles Garrett today, and I imagine you guys had him emphasize during the week just how hard is this guy to block?

Speaker 18

I guess just size, speed, athleticism, bend.

You know, having watched him last year, it's impressive and it's hard, you know, I mean they're trying to chip him, and he gumbies around one guy and then speed bursts the other guys.

Just an elite athlete with you know, a tremendous skill set, and you know, I'm glad that you know, we don't play him twice every year unless we're both in the playoffs.

So you know, he's just a dynamic player, and you know, they do a nice job with him, and he certainly impacts a lot of football games.

Speaker 8

Just curious, Christian Barber.

We didn't really see him in the first quarter.

Was there anything that led to him being sidelined and then to see him come back in the game after.

Speaker 18

Yeah, I had to make a decision.

You know, my job is protect the team.

So when there's actions that I don't feel like or commissionate with with what we want to do here, I got to make a decision and then we move on.

Speaker 10

Run game was effective again for the second straight week.

What do you see happening there against a tough bronze defense, tough sledding.

Speaker 18

I think we stay committed, we make some interior runs, we we hit some you know, outside plays, some perimeter runs, and then obviously the quarterback stuff helps to you know those numbers and when they pressure and they play man coverage and Drake can do that, that that has to be part of who we are.

Speaker 19

You know.

Speaker 18

We got to send him a spring training and figure out, you know, when to slide and continue to talk about that and.

Speaker 3

Do my best there.

Speaker 18

Thanks guys.

Speaker 8

Puffed out chest with young the coach with me news there.

Yeah, yes, the Barmore thing is interesting.

Speaker 6

Yeah, but when he says when there are actions that I don't feel like are commiserate with the team.

Speaker 7

Smells like disciplined what it definitely is.

Speaker 6

But it's also the nosy.

Speaker 4

Part of me is like, what exactly, well did anyone follow that up.

Speaker 7

With the last question?

Speaker 3

Had anything to say?

Speaker 4

Fair enough?

Speaker 6

Am I reading?

Speaker 4

Meaning he's very likely going to say we're going to keep that house.

Speaker 6

Off the whatever?

Speaker 11

Yeah?

Speaker 6

But also he said then we move on.

Did he just mean we move on from the discipline or move on for Barbore?

Speaker 8

He didn't even say it was disciplined.

Speaker 7

Yeah, you got to ask him, don't you.

Speaker 4

Yeah?

Speaker 8

I mean, good on Sophie Weller for asking the original question, maybe because.

Speaker 4

It was odd that maybe he ordered a stay well done and he didn't like that, you know, I don't know what dare you.

Speaker 8

I mean, it might have been.

Speaker 7

I mean he's been.

Speaker 8

He's been sort of outspoken about not getting holding calls and things like that.

It could have been something like that.

He didn't like the way he had been talking sort of individually.

But now that you guess is my guess is it's something more than that.

But I'm just saying I'm trying to just present some options, right, he doesn't necessarily have to be like, well, he missed a team meeting, curfew, one of the ones I can't believe no one would.

Speaker 17

Ask, well, so what hold on is you're knocking everybody?

Which I get, I get it.

But tip of the cap to Sophie.

Speaker 8

I did notice for Sophie Weller to ask the question that to notice that a guy didn't play to start a game and then played, therefore it's not health related, correct, right?

Speaker 9

You know?

Speaker 8

And she asked, I think of very relevant question.

We were all talking about it in the.

Speaker 17

Press box, not a Rex Ryan foot issue or anything like that.

Was it sounds we don't know, but I don't know what it was.

Speaker 4

You know, you're supposed to be digging for these answers, right.

Speaker 6

Because now you create us speculating, and the fans will speculate, and other teams will speculate as well.

Speaker 4

So now like he's not going to tell you when he shouldn't.

No, you got to ask and then he might.

You never know.

Speaker 7

Did he make his point?

Speaker 17

Do you think did the coach make his point by saying that in the press conference he was asked a question.

I think he made his point and probably will leave it at that, like betterment of the team, we got to continue to do things for the team, said all that, and then if if, if he was asked, fall was probably going to do as you say.

Speaker 4

Yeah, absolutely, And.

Speaker 6

Even when we had spilin on earlier, you can tell the mindset of what Rabel wants is that all all of us need to be on the same page.

Speaker 4

So which which is an interesting thing though that today was the first time in four years that they were introduced individually.

Speaker 7

What do you think about that?

Speaker 4

I don't like it.

I've been roundly criticized for being an old fart and wanting to stick to stick tradition, not a way, Fred, but I like that tradition.

I think you know, I'm always in for change, but there's some things that are really cool, and I think being introduced as a team was one of the cool things.

I think the Patriots always did.

Speaker 7

I'm with you Fred that a way, What sy you do?

Speaker 1

I missed the introductions, so it sounds like.

Speaker 7

Right next to me, I think I was eating tips.

There was a couple of players.

Speaker 17

In the package that will have coming up, but a couple of players said it needs work.

Speaker 4

Well, listen, it's the first time they've done it in twenty four years.

Speaker 7

So they need They probably need to practice announced offense.

Speaker 6

Did they ask about that in the post game?

Speaker 7

They did.

Speaker 17

I didn't include it because I figured you guys were talking about it and there's a there's some other stuff here about the fans, so is talking about the fans and the players.

Speaker 7

Let's hear what the players had to say after the game today.

Speaker 9

Other than Miles Garrett, how was your day?

Speaker 3

And how was the offense?

Speaker 20

And yeah, I think we left them out in the red zone.

Sure that's good defense, you know.

I thought we moved the ball well, defense helped Sally played guy, they played their They played a great game.

So yeah, I think we we we when we did when they did foced Urns, we scored off them, which was good to see you.

I think we left them out in the red zone, but you know, we ran the ball, we do it something and we got the one turnover me and the one with Travion at the end, so we got to, you.

Speaker 3

Know, learn from that.

Speaker 20

But uh yeah, they're good defense, they're good up front.

They get that for the passer and have to do a better job of getting the ball out and knowing them, knowing the kind of what mode I'm into to get it out.

Speaker 11

Came in at halftime and we look at the game and zero zero.

We got to go out and win the second half.

That's been one of our key goals since OTAs that we've talked about, win the second half, win the second half.

And I'm just really proud of how our guys, how we came out, how we we gave up that early touchdown and then we locked in and we really played a great team defense.

Speaker 4

Drake.

Speaker 10

After your long run, the crowd started channing m v P m VP.

Next play through the thirty nine yard touchdown past to Kashawan more of the same.

Did you hear it?

What's your reaction to it?

Speaker 3

No, I didn't hear it.

Speaker 20

The guys were making fun of me about my slide back in the huddle on the long run, so I didn't hear it.

But the fans have been been awesome all season.

It's been really cool to really see the different from from last year to this year.

Man, it's been a it's been a journey, and you know, they've been through it and they've been you know, the fans have been through it the last couple of years, so it's just no credit to them.

And we did the intro today for the first time, so we know how that would go.

That was pretty cool.

But I know the fans have been awesome.

Like I said, I think the best fans in the league, and they continue to show out every week.

Speaker 10

Hunter up up nine to seven at the half.

That drive to start the third quarter, misdirection play, action trick plays.

Uh, can you just take us through that drive and sort of how that maybe changed the flow of the game.

Speaker 7

Yeah.

Speaker 21

Man, credit to Josh.

Josh made a lot of uh, I mean, great calls and then you know, the guys just went out there and executed.

I just felt like everybody needed to do the job.

Speaker 7

That was one thing.

Speaker 21

Just focus on your job on that play, and you know, obviously Travy All was able to get loose a little bit, make some some big time runs.

Guys were you know, finishing and that was that was big for us coming.

Speaker 3

Out of half.

Speaker 22

Fans are amazing, people are amazing.

Slid out there.

You can barely hear yourself out there, especially on third down.

It's crazy.

But uh now, I'm appreciate everybody you know who comes and shows up and shows the support.

It was dope, you know, It's it's good coming home and getting a victory.

Speaker 20

Steph was you know, we've been joking about him the other day that you know, Casey, Chase had more touchdowns than Steph did, so finally Steph got in there and got one.

Speaker 3

So it was cool.

Speaker 7

And was pretty happy after the digs.

Speaker 4

Touchdown yeah, oh yeah, and he was too.

Speaker 17

Yeah, And I think that was pretty funny that they were busting this chop saying Chase Son's got more touchdowns than you.

Speaker 6

Their little key and peel celebration, which is fun.

First he spiked it, he did the Gronk spike, then he did the key in field.

Speaker 1

Very yeah, it seemed like they really wanted to get him at us right back to him.

Speaker 7

They're like we're getting you on today, Digs.

Speaker 6

I wonder how long they were practicing for that one too, at two point.

Speaker 7

Probably since summer release.

Speaker 4

It was a good little play too.

It was like snap, wellsigned.

Speaker 17

I liked it, well designed, Paul, You liked that first quartered drive by Josh.

Speaker 7

Huh.

Speaker 8

Just a lot of wrinkles and you know, all of a sudden for at least one drive that they mitigated the pressure by some misdirection motion.

Yeah, they had some some little boots and get the ball out quick.

You know, Drake makes a play on his own with his legs to start a drive and you know this is just you know, he's just so good, Garrett.

But you know this little you know toss to the side.

You know, you get Henderson, you know, not a huge gain there, this little drag to have Hunter Henry lead this play around the ends.

You know, another you know, modest gain, but you know, all positive plays, misdirections back and forth, the throwback you know to Drake for the for the double pass you know coming up surely, but this is just you know, toss crack, nothing fancy about it.

They're just catching the Patriots and I'm sorry the Browns off guard here.

I just loved the mix of this drive.

I thought Josh McDaniels was as everyone would say, Josh was in his bag.

Speaker 17

And so you ball watchers out there, anybody else pick up Paul Knowers.

Speaker 8

Sorry, we all watch.

Speaker 17

Anybody noticed crosses today as opposed to like stretch play, handoffs or take like an emphasis on a pitch.

Yeah, I wonder what that was.

And I wonder if that was a what if that's something they saw in Cleveland?

You get the ball out and get the guy going.

Speaker 8

He be my guess it was a Cleveland related thing that they're vulnerable on the edges.

Speaker 7

Yeah, I thought that was interesting.

Speaker 1

I'd love to see what the you know, how extensive the actual second half adjustments were, because it felt like they got something going, but at the same time, you know, it was it's.

Speaker 8

Hard like it really to me, it was that drive.

I didn't I mean, the rest of it to me was kind of extended garbage, but this drive was That's how you put the game away.

Speaker 17

You know.

Speaker 8

You take a nine to seven game that, as Matt says, is a rock fight, and instead of making it a rock fight, you you make it a track meet, and the game's over.

Yeah, Cleveland can't keep up once they're down two scores.

Speaker 7

Right, you know, here's something crazy and even.

Speaker 8

A touchdown, A little rollout for Drake and he gets a wide open, easy touchdown.

Speaker 14

Right.

Speaker 17

They're two and six, so they're not going anywhere.

They're not very good, and it's a quarterback driven league, so it's always going to be the quarterback that gets in less.

Barkley runs for two thousand yards.

Obviously, I don't watch the Cleveland Browns player on a consistent basis.

Is Miles Garrett in the conversation for best player in the league?

Speaker 8

Oh yeah, he's'sive player of the Year candidate every single He's unbelievable.

Speaker 7

Oh yeah, he I mean, and I just thinking about that.

Speaker 17

You know when when people you see executives for teams who get killed when they blow a pick.

Whoever made the Miles Garrett pick?

I hope that person's employed.

You know, that was a great pick.

Speaker 7

At number one?

Speaker 17

Was that a consensus, Mike that he was a consensus number one?

You got to pick this guy.

Speaker 8

He wasn't terrific, but he's he's a wow and he shows you that he's not just like speed power.

He does he does.

Speaker 17

Everything right, chased him down like they showed him in the broadcast, like after he was double teams, he still spun out of it and ended up making the tackle.

Speaker 7

He's a freak.

I'm just disappointed I didn't get see him pregame.

Speaker 1

I was kind of just to like size him up pregames.

If there was a defensive version of that song, Paul, he would definitely be the one.

Speaker 8

But yeah, he was impressed.

Speaker 7

Great player.

Speaker 8

You know.

Andy Hart used to say he passed the eyeball test.

Miles Gawag is long since passed.

He's not a new player, but that was impressive.

At least three of his sacks were beating double team.

Speaker 4

The one description Rabel had he had a lot of adjectives, but the one that I think he possesses that not a lot of guys his size have.

Speaker 8

Bend great gumby gumby Ben.

Speaker 4

He can he can, you know, maneuver himself everywhere on the field, not just at the line, not just with power, but with you know, the speed and just the way he can you know, tork his body.

Yeah, it's incredible.

Speaker 17

So qunny if you'd ask the question in the pregame show and asked Mike and Paul.

If and said, if I were to tell you that the Patriots would turn it over twice and we would give up six sacks, including five to Miles Garrett, what do you think the score is gonna be?

Yeah, I wouldn't be thirty two thirteen Patriots.

Speaker 7

I can probably yess right.

Feel closer, it'd.

Speaker 4

Be like twenty seventeen or so.

Speaker 8

Can you give me Cleveland's as long as we know things are gonna happen, and you're gonna tell me that Cleveland's turning it over twice too?

Speaker 7

If you only tell you that three, you think it would have been closer.

Speaker 8

If you tell me Cleveland does what they've been doing and they don't turn it over, I would have said that would be that you're gonna be in a game that's gonna get on in the last possession.

But if you're telling me Cleveland's gonna turn it over twice, including once inside their five yard line, they hand you seven points, then I'm gonna say you're probably gonna win thirty two to thirteen because you're a better team than they are, so if all things are equal, you should win.

Speaker 9

Right.

Speaker 4

He always spoils it.

Speaker 7

Matt what is spoiling.

Speaker 8

Drake May was unbelievable in that game, despite the fact that Myles garretted would match just say.

Speaker 4

That, but he's just just play along.

But he just see that's it.

Speaker 7

Fred.

He won't play no.

Speaker 8

No, because because because you're only telling half the story.

Speaker 4

I know.

Speaker 8

But like if you told me that the Patriots are going to lie turn it over twice the spirit of all, are you telling me that Cleveland's going to turn it over twice it commit a safety?

Speaker 4

No, all you know is that they have five sacks and you're going to turn the ball over six sacks.

Six sacks you know.

Speaker 6

Winter made and.

Speaker 8

The fact that the Patriots did that early in the game, they gave up four sacks in a turnover.

Speaker 7

That's why it was nine to seven.

Speaker 8

Then when Cleveland started turning it over too, it became thirty two to thirteen.

Right, I'm just giving you the whole story.

Speaker 7

I know.

Speaker 4

But that's the point of that question, is that you don't have the whole story.

Speaker 8

He doesn't deal with It's the point and that's why I answered it the way I did.

Speaker 4

Information you don't play well, you know, like when little kids in the sandbox, did you like not play well in the sandbox with the little kids.

Speaker 8

If you told me they were going to give up six sacks and turn it over twice, I would have thought they would be in trouble.

Speaker 6

All right, that's it is.

Speaker 7

That playing along?

Speaker 4

Okay?

That so hard?

Speaker 8

It is hard because again it doesn't tell anywhere near the whole story.

Speaker 3

What's the point.

Speaker 4

You don't know the whole story.

Speaker 7

I don't understand that.

Speaker 8

What's the point?

Speaker 6

Then?

Speaker 4

Never mind?

Never mind?

Speaker 6

All right, let's take it out to Washington.

Speaker 3

Here.

Speaker 6

What Nicholas has to say, Nicholas, unless Nicholas fell asleep?

Hello, Nicholas, Nicholas is going all right, We're gonna go to Brian and Indiana?

Then, hey, Brian, all right, all right, everyone fell asleep?

One more Patton Rhode Island.

Speaker 4

No, all right, well we'll continue to back from the Pepsi commercial exactly.

Speaker 6

By the way, every break, Douce and I sing that song religiously.

Speaker 4

It is a good Any any good emails?

Speaker 6

No, no, no, no, we don't have any emails.

Speaker 7

Spread that you're back.

Speaker 4

Let me finish reading.

Speaker 6

The email that said I love you, Mike, even though we kind of answered it.

So Miles Garrett is gonna do Miles Garrett things, but Drake May gonna do Drake made things in all caps.

Two questions.

Do you think Garrett's performance was more due to him being an absolute monster?

Speaker 7

Yes?

Speaker 6

Or our O line not being good enough?

Speaker 8

We already know the answer to that.

Also, yes, your offensive line is a problem.

I know that no one wants to hear this because you guys only want to hear half the story.

Speaker 6

Hey, I got them on my list.

I told you they were on the bad list.

Speaker 8

You had one of them on a good list.

Speaker 6

Well, yeah, I wanted to find a silver lining despite the that's.

Speaker 8

A problem, smilar to your problem that you have to do that that extension of game planning to work around that issue.

Speaker 7

That's Josh McDaniels was really good today.

Speaker 6

Yeah, And.

Speaker 8

I think I thought today there were a lot of guys that were schemed open.

I think Drake May has made the offense look great for the for the most part of this this winning streak today today, those guys, those guys were open today, And I got to give Josh some of the credit for that at least.

You know, Mike and I talked about this a couple of weeks ago.

It was one of our debates on on the Puatt Patriots Unfiltered on TV.

You know, is it about Drake?

Is it about Josh?

And and the answer is Paul those as always both, but I thought it was more Drake and today I think it was more Josh and Drake was great today, don't get me wrong, especially in the second half.

Speaker 17

But as an example, would would Boody's Double Movie just gets wide open in the end zone.

Speaker 8

You know, Mac Collins was wide open five different times today.

Pop Douglas to Pop's to Pop start that uh end of the first half, drives thirty thirty yards downfield with no one near him.

Some of that is Drake extending plays in buying time and make it.

But some of it I think was on Josh's mix.

Speaker 17

Today Stevenson in the slot with the slant.

Would you that a credit Josh on that?

Speaker 4

One?

Speaker 8

Great example, different look, great example of I think Josh doing Josh Thanks.

Speaker 7

That a good PFW cover pop star.

If Douglas had a.

Speaker 1

Breaking pop star, there we go, Okay, that we ever be today?

Speaker 4

What would the cover be today?

Speaker 23

Oh?

Speaker 4

I have to think about it.

I don't like that air though it.

Speaker 7

Would be some some it would be some play on m VP.

Speaker 4

You think so.

Speaker 17

I think you would be on that not bandwagon, but I think you'd be on.

Speaker 7

That topic about Miles Marker.

Amazing.

Speaker 1

Oh that's the well, here's the writer.

Speaker 7

Here's a lot you can do with marketing.

Speaker 4

It's it's kind of a long headline, but I'll take six wins over six sacks any day.

Speaker 7

We're not doing that.

I like it.

Speaker 6

Well, looks like our phone lines are ringing again, so we'll give him a second.

Okay, Robin is Robin Florida.

Speaker 4

Robin.

Speaker 6

This is the record time of US answering Rob Rob.

Speaker 7

I don't know why.

Speaker 24

Hey, guys, thank you, thank you for thank you for everything you do.

Here's my observation of today.

I think Henderson is ready to take off what what I thought today.

Speaker 7

This is what he's going to be.

Speaker 24

I think he's gonna be a different factor from not one.

That's just my say.

He ran, he was decisive, the speed, explosive this, so that's just my prediction.

I think we're going to see a lot more right now from von Henderson, and we need it because I love Himanda, but he's just not explosive.

Speaker 8

Yeah.

Speaker 4

No, I think Henderson ran the best he's run all year.

Speaker 8

He had his best game.

I'm not ready to say anything beyond today.

Speaker 17

Yeah, didn't Josh hinted it on his press conference on Thursday, You're going to see more Travion.

Speaker 7

I think he did.

I wasn't that, Josh, We've got to stir in our show.

Speaker 4

Yeah, what did he said that?

Speaker 17

I think I think he was asked about because he did he have a low snap total last week against IT.

Speaker 8

I think he said something like, we're going to need him.

We're going, yeah, we're going to need him more.

Speaker 7

So they fed on a little bit this week and it was he was productive.

Speaker 8

I mean to keep giving him.

I just like, you know, he ran well today.

He had his best game by far today.

Speaker 4

Yeah.

And if you're looking at him, but like the caller said, you can see that explosiveness.

He runs hard but again got move which.

Speaker 17

Is one thing that this team is is I think we said it during the preseason.

Everybody said it.

They let I mean, Mike says, the X plays.

You know, there's no home run threat.

Really, you know, how are they you know, beating you?

You know it's a booty here, Douglas there digs here, Hunter Henry it's great he throws it to the guys that's open.

You know, we've certainly heard that phrase for many, many years, but they lacked the home run hitter.

Dis Kid Henderson has the potential to be a home run hitter, and that's if he can be on the field and provide that.

Speaker 7

I think this makes this offense even better.

Speaker 8

Yeah, I think if that happens then that I would agree.

I just I'm not ready to crown it.

One game out of eight where he looks like he has a little something is not to agree with you cause for anything other than hey, that was a nice performance.

He had ten for seventy five.

He had a twenty seven yard run in an eighteen yard run.

Now those are big.

Those are the runs that they've been lacking.

But can he do that on a consistent basis?

Right to Fred's point, saw the ability And to Fred's point, the first time you give him the ball a substantial amount of times he loses it once.

Speaker 7

So let's just try to keep it in perspective.

Speaker 8

How many today I put today on Josh McDaniels.

Matt mentioned, you know, the tosses to the to the side.

Was that a wrinkle for Cleveland.

Was that a wrinkle for Trevion Henderson.

I give Josh some credit today the twenty seven yard run, he was basically untouched.

Like they blocked it up.

They had that they schemed it up and blocked it up.

Speaker 4

Well, I we all give a lot of credit to McDaniel's.

Yeah.

I think every on the blog everyone was.

I just think that everybody is.

Speaker 8

And you have lost patience in this too, so you don't be a fraud here.

Everybody is just so ready to blame everything on the coaches, everything on the game plan.

You're not doing this right, You're not doing that right.

It's all nothing is on Trevion Henderson, right, you know.

And all of a sudden today, you know that the first first run of the first run of the game, he runs right up the gut for twelve yards.

Speaker 7

I didn't hear everybody saying you gotta get him wide.

Speaker 8

What it is like, he's got to play better, He has to play better today.

He did give you give him credit.

He ran more decisively with you know, with you know, I don't want him trying to bowl over you know, tacklers in the secondary.

Speaker 7

I want him avoiding.

Speaker 4

Next to the praise for McDaniel's.

The biggest thing was where's Chisholm.

Speaker 7

I'm not kidding.

The inactive list fourteen snaps for Shavon Henderson.

Speaker 8

Today fourteen snaps.

So he maximized his snaps.

Speaker 7

He did not much.

Speaker 1

I mean it's really a big, you know, drop off from Digs who played thirty three.

Then you got west Over Williams Henderson seventeen fourteen fourteen, Douglas twelve.

Speaker 8

You know, so the west Over snaps, a lot of those were with Henderson, and they would tosses to the right.

Now that's a tendency they're going to have to break too, right.

Speaker 7

Yeah.

Speaker 8

Then when they tossed one to the left, he fumbled.

That was the fumble.

Speaker 7

After he after gaining how many.

Speaker 8

Right, nothing, he got stuffed like around the line of scrimmage.

I thought I had the fumble, went forward to the one.

Yeah, that's the fumble right there.

You see, he was about the five yard line.

He fumbles forward, not even not even hit on the seven yard line.

Speaker 4

It looked like he had the ball up high to Now is there.

Speaker 1

Anything more desperate though than a guy just after he fumbled like.

Speaker 12

No jumping for like oh no, not again yet?

Speaker 7

Not today today.

Speaker 6

All right, let's take it out to New York where Ryan is?

Oh, Ryan just on.

Speaker 7

Respect?

Speaker 4

Disrespect?

Speaker 8

Put me on now or I'm hanging out right.

Speaker 6

But looking ahead?

What are you hoping to to see next week?

Speaker 7

Well, I like Michael Panics, I mean, just to make it interesting.

But got smoked.

Yeah, yeah, you know.

Speaker 1

B John Robinson is you know, I think it's a great, great test and he's a phenomenal running back.

And I just I'm somebody like to see teams at full strength.

I want to see the real deal.

I don't want to, you know, have to get by beating up on backups.

Speaker 7

And all that.

Like can I I don't like injuries.

Speaker 4

I don't know the story.

Did they just bench Penix's game or.

Speaker 8

And according to the pregame reports, they said he's out today and will likely be out next week too.

Speaker 7

Now a lot can change in a week.

The kid said he was going to play today.

He's not banking on that.

Speaker 17

He said, he goes, I'm going to play against Miami, So they held him back.

Pennick said that Pennix said, I will play against.

Speaker 4

Kay So he's not that hurt.

Or is the hurt just to cover up ego.

I don't know in a pride like.

So we're not saying that we benched him.

Speaker 7

Oh they didn't bench him.

No, I don't think like he's the guy he was.

Speaker 4

To clear it out, I know, but he was saying he was going to play today.

Speaker 7

Well, I mean so did Jayden Daniels.

Did they bench him too.

Speaker 8

I'm just saying a couple of weeks ago, Jaydon Daniel said he wanted to play.

Speaker 4

That you don't think you don't think it's beyond the I do beyond doubt that a team would say, you know, you're a little dinged up this week, you're going to sit down, but meaning that we just want to if he was healthy if maybe no one's one hundred percent, but.

Speaker 8

Yeah, if he was healthy enough to play, I think he would have played.

Speaker 7

I think it's beyond okay.

Speaker 4

So I don't think it Mad has anything else, anything to do other than health.

Speaker 7

No, okay, that's all I'm saying.

No, I agree with Matt.

Speaker 8

I think that they decided last year that Cousins wasn't the option, wasn't the answer.

They went to Pennix.

Speaker 7

I know you're right about the decision.

After today, you're.

Speaker 8

Done, like you're down that road, you're done.

Like, I don't think there's any chance that if he was healthy enough to play.

Speaker 7

He wouldn't play.

But I don't think.

Speaker 17

I don't think Atlanta has much of a home field advantage.

If you see some of those games.

I remember the Thursday night game the Patriots played there a couple of years ago.

It was like friends and family and that's it.

They don't draw very well.

Miami still though, on the road goes in and they boat raced them.

Speaker 4

Paul, they did you know played well, didn't everyone's using no boat race?

Speaker 8

Yeah, that's why Matt used it because I used it once and Evening.

Speaker 7

Wasn't making fun of me about it.

Speaker 4

Everybod that come from.

But I don't really know.

Speaker 7

I just hear things.

Speaker 4

And then you got boat race.

Speaker 7

I don't know.

Speaker 4

I raced a boat.

How is that a bad thing?

Speaker 7

Part of the lexico?

Speaker 4

I don't know either.

Speaker 8

I've got it here, gen z plea, No one knows.

Speaker 7

Competition a term.

Speaker 1

That originated from the Oxford and Cambridge University rowing races.

It can also refer to the act of rowing itself, as in the annual Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race.

Speaker 7

Makes sense that friends and everything like that.

Speaker 1

That was behind from the start would often lose badly in a way that was suggested that they were boat raced.

Speaker 7

Okay, okay, is that also from Oxford.

It's also a drinking game if you guys want them nice.

Speaker 4

So it's nothing dirty, yeah, it's it's it's just I don't know that.

Speaker 7

I was not using that in a way.

No, I don't think much like everything else with me, it's something I wasn't.

Speaker 6

Aware of and you learn in real time, all right.

Speaker 8

Yeah, But Matt's been making fun of me for about a year and a half because I said they're going to get boat raced and came and he goes, what what are you talking about?

Speaker 1

He loves the Oxford races and the bare He's a big crew elitist.

Speaker 7

A lot of people say that about me.

Speaker 4

These young kids give me back to the days of being introduced as a team.

Speaker 7

So I when you guys were talking about.

Speaker 8

When you guys were when you guys were talking about this, I was laughing because I had no idea that we haven't been introduced individually since but one, yeah, no, one do.

Speaker 7

We do that on the show and I.

Speaker 6

And we're one team, like you said it's.

Speaker 8

Been twenty four years, and I was like, wow, you think I would have noticed that because I've been at all twenty four years of those games.

Speaker 7

You're usually eating your steak tips like me.

Speaker 11

I saw today.

Speaker 7

I saw them come out today.

Speaker 8

I didn't think a thing of it.

Speaker 4

Morgan, what you think of the pregate?

Speaker 7

And I'm like, what I just got?

Speaker 4

Oh you didn't hear the the analyzing that was going on during it.

No, just the front row was just.

Speaker 7

How much we screwed it up because we were off right.

Speaker 8

Off?

Speaker 7

How are you off?

So I didn't include it.

Maybe I should have.

Speaker 17

Maybe that's a mistake on my part on Mike's thinking behind it, And he was asked about it, what do you guys like?

He was saying that he was hoping that maybe they would get the crowd a little energized, a little juice.

Speaker 4

Is that a shot at the crowd maybe, and we need to do a little something to help boost.

Speaker 7

Give him a chance to yell for your m v P.

Speaker 4

Well, I don't think the crowd was prepared for it.

Speaker 7

They've never seen it.

Exactly, what are you going to do?

Speaker 5

Take out a billboard and route one took a little while before the crowds like, what's going on here?

We're introducing players oh by themselves?

Speaker 7

Can't be I got a quick one for you on Drake May.

Speaker 8

He now the fifth player in NFL history to produce two hundred plus passing yards in one hundred plus passer rating in seven consecutive games, joining some stiff quarterback who've done this Aaron Rodgers who did it twice in twenty twenty and twenty eleven, Patrick Mahomes in twenty twenty eighteen, Tom Brady in seven, and Peyton Manning at O four.

Speaker 4

Jeez, that's the company.

Speaker 8

Is your MVP candidate?

Speaker 7

Will keep it?

Speaker 4

We want to be I mean, you know, what are we witnessing here?

And are we witnessing the dawn of yes a new era that one of the greats and fred I think it's been in.

Speaker 17

Really, what's the most amazing thing to me about it?

Listen, if Mike Orsho wants to say I was in on him in April, I'm telling you that this is what he's going to be.

Kudos to Mike or show and any other mic to show who said it.

But there were louder than whispers in the summertime and after the Raiders game of people going what do we got here?

His improvement over the last six weeks has been staggering, and I think that's Drake, and I think it's the coaching staff, you know, the quarterback coach in all those guys.

Speaker 4

You could put our coaching staff with Doug Gabriel and you're not going to see that.

You know who won't talk about Dylan.

There was a Doug Gabriel.

But but the point is this guy is doing it.

He is executing the coaching.

He's taking to it, but he's the one doing it.

Speaker 8

And totally agree with you.

Speaker 4

But those names aren't.

Speaker 17

No, it's just he's the best of the best.

Yes, but it's the last six weeks and it's like seven, well seven.

He's not going to throw twenty one out of twenty three again this week, right, that's not going to happen to me.

Speaker 8

It's not about it and how did he look?

You know, it's not even about that.

It's about the downfield throws.

In decision making, he's us.

I mean, he he had a pick today, but he's not putting the ball in harm's way on any kind of a consistent basis.

He's making good decisions when he runs.

I'd like to see him get down a little bit more, but he makes good.

You don't like twenty seven runs, Fred, don't be don't be stubborn.

Speaker 7

Don't be stubborn.

That's my game, that's my game.

Speaker 8

Stay on your land.

Speaker 3

My game is stubborn.

Speaker 7

Bro get down.

Speaker 8

After five, I just can't say enough.

And I was really really high on May.

You know that last year when Jaden Daniels was doing all those wonderful things, I recognized all the things he was doing.

I told you I would still take Drake May over Jayden and Daniels even after he went to the NFC Championship game and Drake won one of his twelve starts or whatever it was.

Speaker 7

I never expected him to be this good, this fast?

Speaker 4

Why would you?

Speaker 7

How could you never expected this yet?

To play complete NFL seas he hasn't played seventeen games.

Speaker 4

These types of numbers are has.

Speaker 7

He played seventeen games by now?

He has?

Speaker 23

Now?

Speaker 7

It was cut down on the turnovers and show us that you can win games at the end when it's on the line.

Those are the two things.

Speaker 4

That's the one thing we still haven't seen.

Speaker 8

Haven't seen the last what happens when he's in those like we have to score modes.

He hasn't really been in any of those, right, But that's not his fault.

It's like Kestowski with the kick, you know, the game winning kicks.

It wasn't his fault that he didn't really get those opportunities.

Speaker 4

It's like asked year with the Celtics, they had so many games where they kind of blew them.

Speaker 8

Out, but then at the end, every time they were in a close game they lost it.

Speaker 7

So as you're bringing that up a small picnic, I don't know if you guys discussed this.

Speaker 4

Watch out for the Green teamers.

Speaker 7

Three forty left to go in the game and he comes back out.

Speaker 8

Fred already yelled at me.

I was like, and then what happened?

He got hit again?

Yep, let's see if we can get him hurt.

Okay, So Fred, you were on that.

I think that he was still playing with with it.

I think I don't know why, and I don't know why I think this.

I think they wanted to win that game by as many points as they could.

Today, I don't think they ever took the foot off the gas.

They're throwing the ball down the field, up three scores.

I don't know why I would think that Rabel has.

Speaker 4

Some they were doing on side kicks, but they're losing, okay, so if you're going to try to win, we're going to beat you more.

Speaker 17

That was on your bad list right now, going to give up, We're going to keep playing sidekick coverage.

Speaker 8

So I didn't really understand why they were throwing bombs and running ender rounds to pop Douglas up thirty to six or whatever seven, whatever it was, but they did, you know, I don't know what, and I thought they subjected made him more.

And evidently Mike is okay as long as you don't get lit up like he was, like make a differentiation between some of those sacks, as long as we don't really get like him killed.

Speaker 4

Well, I know what he's saying, like you don't want free runners, but that you.

Speaker 8

Don't think that play that Miles Garrett ran him down in the red zone.

Speaker 4

From the back end.

You don't take them down from behind.

I didn't look ugly to you, like that injury the way he came down, right, But that yeah.

Speaker 8

It's like a few good men.

I'm sure it was lovely for him.

I want to go back to the Curtis Bell incident.

Speaker 6

The company that you mentioned that Drake May was in because Mary Kay we had her in the pregame show and her preview story for this game was how the Browns compared him to like a Roethlisberger Allen hybrid.

But I want to know that Garrett actually said, He's like, I'm not comparing him to anyone but Drake May.

I think the league is also unnoticed when it comes to the talent Drake May has.

We obviously can talk about it at NOZOM, but the fact that players are noticing and one of the best defensive players in the league is saying, no, I'm not even going to compare him to these other people because he is good enough at this point.

Speaker 4

I think.

Speaker 6

Sure, that's a high coming amazing great quick.

Speaker 23

Yeah.

Speaker 4

By the way, like a Castle in that helmet.

Speaker 8

There was another stat like that that I ignored because of that that he joined Castle as page the last page that.

Speaker 19

Many but.

Speaker 4

Because you need the other team to know that he can, not that they don't buy now.

Speaker 8

But I agree, fred n he's going to make a play.

Speaker 4

That's another now the defense has to account for and it helps you open other things.

Speaker 11

Up.

Speaker 7

Mike said that when they're playing man to man, he knows her planning man to man.

Now, now somebody's got.

Speaker 17

To account for Drake.

What I wanted to say is a shout out to Matt Morrel.

How great was Mary kay Cabot today?

Speaker 4

Phenomenal by the way she was dynamite.

Speaker 6

Actually really could have just talked to her all show.

Speaker 4

Exactly if she was one of our reporters.

How Rabel would Okay, you know.

Speaker 17

What, in all honesty for any young men, male or female.

I know, I think i'd be interesting getting in the business.

Watched and listened to her.

She's terrific, she really does.

Speaker 4

She's she's a pro.

Speaker 7

Yeah, really really good.

Speaker 4

I thought she brought.

Speaker 7

I think she brought a lot of.

Speaker 8

Us people, young people that are looking to get in the business.

Speaker 7

Listen that might do so.

Yeah, wrong with well, I mean, you don't want to be an.

Speaker 4

Old rumor that she had wrong though involving us didn't Well I don't know if she was wrong.

But was it about Garo?

Yeah, there was like we were going to trade Garoppolo to the or they were offering two first round picks for Garoppolo or something like that.

Speaker 7

They probably did, yeah, and she had that story says it's wrong.

Speaker 6

I mean, yeah, she couldn't be did.

Speaker 4

She also had that we were going to have Julius Peppers.

That was vic Carucci, but he was quoting somebody else though, right vic Carucci.

Speaker 7

Said the Patriots were going to be signing.

Speaker 4

Oh no, he said it on our show.

Speaker 7

Yeah, I remember that, But where was he getting it from him?

He was reporting it?

Speaker 4

Okay, all right, all right, well.

Speaker 6

The phone lines lit up again.

Let's look at those.

Let' see if people are actually on the phone.

Spie in Fresno.

Are you with us?

Speaker 8

I have trust issues at this point?

Speaker 9

We got you?

Speaker 8

Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 25

I didn't like all these people hanging up on Kwani.

I needed to get on my thank you you're great Corny.

Yes, I was one of the people who.

Speaker 4

Keep going sorry our you.

Speaker 25

Know, I was one of the more skeptical people.

Speaker 15

I didn't.

Speaker 25

I thought that it was just like that Josh Allen correcting his accuracy.

Things seemed like such a unicorn.

I just didn't think that Drake was going to be able to stop floating the ball.

And I was completely just unbelievably wrong.

I don't know how you can look at this and not think that there should be a team that competes in the playoffs.

And I know you got cupcakes on the schedule, but I believe in the guy.

I wanted to just get you guys take on with this roster.

How many Pro bowlers do you think are on the roster?

Speaker 8

Wow?

Speaker 4

Wow, getting ahead of myself.

I think Drake is one.

Let's see you wait, yeah, nobody on the defense up Fronte Milton william Milton Williams.

Right, okay, there's two.

Gonzalez tackle well today, we're also compared to He had a good physical game, did yeah?

Speaker 7

Yeah, played well.

Looked like he might might be rounding himself in a little bits.

Speaker 3

That's what I say.

Speaker 8

Yeah, I didn't poop po it.

I just wasn't like just a couple of people to watch ball.

Who you know, I mean, I want to think all pro corners can shut down back up running backs in space.

Speaker 7

You played?

Speaker 4

He did the pub's catholic part.

Speaker 7

Well, you know what he wants to be.

Speaker 6

Chicago.

Speaker 7

That's a little more true than you.

Speaker 6

Oh man, Let's take it out to England where Chris is.

Hi.

Speaker 26

Chris Hi, guys, good to speak to you this evening.

Yes, it's lovely to d and show.

I having been following for the last few years.

It's great to just see the Patriots back to winning ways again.

It's kind of a little bit lonely out here.

There's not much real community that I've been able to get involved in.

It can kind of be a little bit lonely and isolating going through the bad times.

It's been great to see the Patriots getting back to any ways, being able to get excited about watching the real winning and that happen again.

Speaker 4

Chris, do you have a question.

Speaker 26

I just want to say kind of I'm excited to see Patriots back again and seeing well, okay.

Speaker 6

Well you're just thank you Grand Club in England so you have some support and thank you for the accent Patriots fans.

Speaker 17

Mike, I have an idea for a weekly little blurb for you.

Uni watch watch, just uni watch.

How do you like Denver's unis those spectacular?

Speaker 7

Those spectacular?

Speaker 17

Don't you think it's probably a little room for a picture and a blurb or something like that.

Speaker 7

What do you think like the Steelers uniforms that they put out tonight?

They're gonna yeah, Ideo rams last week that bright yellow was the Tampa cream nickles are great.

They're great.

Speaker 4

They were terrible then uniform Oh, I hate the revision is history.

Speaker 7

I thought we were great then.

Speaker 1

You know what I did like there was the Chargers War kind of like yellow no no, no, no, yellow hat.

We wore the dark blue ones that were kind of like the Ladanian Tomlinson years.

Speaker 7

Those ones on on Thursday Night.

I thought those looked pretty sharp.

I just I love the when you can put.

Speaker 1

Anything, we roll anything out on any given you know.

And that's why I'd love to have like a big closet for the Patriots and have you know the dynasty uniforms.

Speaker 7

You can have these, you know, the blueberries can be their own thing.

And you know you have the new rivalry ones coming out there by the way, there's a.

Speaker 4

Lot of Yeah, Mike Duso's uniform museum museum.

Speaker 8

Yeah, I don't know about that wing.

Speaker 1

The Seahawks would be in there though, for sure, with those those throwbacks they got.

Speaker 7

And how about the Whalers and the Canes probably the other day, you know you have the and Whalers.

Whalers that was pretty good like that too.

Speaker 9

W H.

L.

Speaker 6

Broshan and the Bahamas.

How are you feeling.

Speaker 23

They eyes would win.

Speaker 3

Yes, first call.

Speaker 23

Would just like to say, after the phone drops, I decided to call them myself, you know.

Speaker 26

But other than that, I.

Speaker 23

Appreciate and uh what the same is doing.

And it's happy to be a Patriots fan after growing up watching them all my life.

And I would like to see Josh mcdoniels I'm in Pratts.

He's knocking off the ruts.

He came back and guess those positives he were doing in the second half thinks and dunks and you know the play the play calling was impressive.

Reminded me of the Brady the Brady days.

But that's what that's all.

Speaker 21

I like to say.

Speaker 23

Thank you.

Speaker 4

Okay, people are just calling in with well wishes.

Speaker 6

People are.

Speaker 9

Funny.

Speaker 8

You guys are right.

I just like I guess there was no Dnking and Duncan involved.

That was not reminiscent at all with anything Brady everything.

That was just like flat out but we're going to get the ball downfield and you going to be able to catch up to our receivers and we're throwing it down the field, and you know what, that's what I give Josh Madingo's credit for, because I think it's sort of breaking out of his comfort.

Speaker 4

He was just gonna say, Paul, like a lot of people were worried that Josh Daniels was just going to be the old offense of the New England Patriots.

But he's playing to the strengths of this team, which is what a good coordinator needs to do.

Speaker 8

You agree with me?

Speaker 4

There, you got the show.

Speaker 7

Thank you for that.
