[SPEAKER_03]: Anyway, why are we talking about all this stupid stuff?

[SPEAKER_03]: Well, it's because we don't have that much Yoshi to talk about at least Yoshi that happened in the last two weeks.

[SPEAKER_03]: We got a lot of upcoming shows, but it was a quiet two weeks of Yoshi.

[SPEAKER_03]: We've gotten beyond the hot summer action of all these tournaments and we've moved into the cool autumn of [SPEAKER_03]: uh...

less things happening i guess before we get to the tag tournaments that play us for the last end of the year and all man sorry uh...

but what has been happening in stardom they had the historic cross-over show uh...

which featured hanico defending the future of stardom title successfully for the first time defeating iosacra [SPEAKER_03]: in 13 minutes and one seconds, probably the biggest news of the Joshi Weeks was seri appearing in the United States of America.

[SPEAKER_03]: And of course, Kelly, when you have a top 10 wrestler in the world, regardless of gender, and they're coming in.

[SPEAKER_03]: Where do you put them?

[SPEAKER_01]: Well, you want to put them somewhere you can capitalize on like there being you want to be able to make some money off of them.

[SPEAKER_01]: So what you're going to do is you're going to take them and put them on the show that you use as dark matches before you're a TV.

[SPEAKER_01]: So then people have to get a subscription to the website where you show that show on and then you're going to really 5D chess them.

[SPEAKER_01]: You're going to upload that match on YouTube for free.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I just I'm so I'm so over this I'm like, you know, I don't watch AEW as much as I used to anymore, you know, I still sort of watch the paper views, I do enjoy them.

[SPEAKER_03]: There is a sense there is a growing sense from me of.

[SPEAKER_03]: this company does not know ball to use a lot of things.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's really weird.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's a thing where I think they had a benefit 5, 4, 5, 6 years ago when they started.

[SPEAKER_03]: They were coming into a landscape that was pretty pristine.

[SPEAKER_03]: Like companies had been allowed to make stars and all they had to do was look around and go, oh, you know, [SPEAKER_03]: Because Huchko Kada's a star, we want him on a roster, like no shit.

[SPEAKER_03]: Congrats, you signed the best, like one of the best restores of all time, like what a smart signing, you know.

[SPEAKER_03]: Now it feels like, you know, New Japan is struggling and you sort of gotten the guys [SPEAKER_03]: And so now the whole thing is like, you've got to know, you've got to have your ear to the ground to know The big things that it isn't just like, oh, here's the obvious guy that anyone in the right mind would sign And it feels like they don't have that.

[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, they were bad previously.

[SPEAKER_03]: on the women's side?

[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.

[SPEAKER_03]: They've missed.

[SPEAKER_03]: Well, they've missed a lot of people that I think would have helped early on.

[SPEAKER_03]: I think they've sort of righted that ship in many ways, helped by signing Mercedes Monet.

[SPEAKER_03]: Again, an obvious signing.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_03]: I think any company on earth would have said, hey, should we sign Mercedes Monet?

[SPEAKER_03]: I think we should.

[SPEAKER_03]: And it's like I said, I think Surrey is a top 10 worker, regardless of gender.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, one hand.

[SPEAKER_01]: And I think you could go top five.

[SPEAKER_03]: Top 10?

[SPEAKER_03]: But you're thinking about, I mean, who else is on that list?

[SPEAKER_03]: Like, who else is in the top 10?

[SPEAKER_03]: Someone else?

[SPEAKER_03]: I guess Oh, he's gonna come in You're not putting him on ring of honor.

[SPEAKER_01]: No.

[SPEAKER_03]: I would put one million dollars on that.

[SPEAKER_03]: He's gonna debut on the big show and the whole thing is it's the cyclical thing of [SPEAKER_01]: well we can't put her on the main show no one knows who she is and they won't care you know what they'll care when she gets in that ring and she starts kicking the shit out of somewhere and that is perfect because this match like the first half was kind of just a standard match it was fine and then they started kicking the shit out of each other and you see the crap like you can see the crowd individual people start reacting as though like oh wait hold on [SPEAKER_01]: This is a good match.

[SPEAKER_01]: What the fuck?

[SPEAKER_01]: And it's the most rowdy I've ever heard a ring of honor crowd that wasn't like for the paper views.

[SPEAKER_01]: This is it was just like a regular regular part of the TV show where people were reacting and the crowd was super into it and by the end everyone knew who sorry was and thought she's fucking awesome.

[SPEAKER_03]: I mean the same thing [SPEAKER_03]: and they had Mizuki on dark back when they used to be dark.

[SPEAKER_03]: She showed up, they did not promote anything about her.

[SPEAKER_03]: She was the champion at the time.

[SPEAKER_03]: And she got up no reaction coming out.

[SPEAKER_03]: And by the end of the match, she was doing all this crazy stuff and people were like, oh, reacting.

[SPEAKER_03]: I'm like, yes, it's that he's just like, let them go on TV and do this.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_03]: Like, you have a title mat.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's not even like, oh, she's just a random woman.

[SPEAKER_03]: She's a title holder.

[SPEAKER_03]: Like, oh, this person is coming and she wants to defend her title against the best in AEW.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's just very much the whole thing annoys me.

[SPEAKER_03]: I think the not knowing not being plugged into the scene has plagued this company on the women side since they started.

[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely.

[SPEAKER_03]: They've gotten, you know, Tony Storm.

[SPEAKER_03]: That's an obvious sign, Mercedes Monet.

[SPEAKER_03]: And they're very good, and they have helped the division.

[SPEAKER_03]: I would say other than that, like the great signies that they have made are statlander.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and question mark.

[SPEAKER_03]: Like I guess I'm not watching that frequently, but I guess Tecla is doing well.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, she's actually doing very well and has adapted to American TV wrestling incredibly well.

[SPEAKER_03]: But again, that's like a stardom, you know.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, she's not getting plucked from nowhere and it's like, wow, what a good read you made on this person.

[SPEAKER_03]: You know, I guess Queen Aminana was a good pick-up.

[SPEAKER_03]: But anyway, it annoys me that, you know, the TV, what I've watched of it over the past few months had become so perfunctory, [SPEAKER_03]: And this is the type of thing they used to do.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's like when Vikingo came in and wrestled Omega.

[SPEAKER_03]: He was this random guy who was really good.

[SPEAKER_03]: And they put him on the TV, and they put him against a good opponent, and he had a great match, and people were like, whoa, holy shit.

[SPEAKER_03]: And for some reason, they're like, we won't do that with women.

[SPEAKER_01]: And that is like, that one is absolutely the first domino at the WWE buying AAA.

[SPEAKER_03]: Well, yes, I guess in the end, that specific scenario may be turned out to be more bad than good.

[SPEAKER_01]: Well, but even then when it's like that was such a big deal that it turned into this major wrestling event.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and people complained, oh, we don't know who this guy is.

[SPEAKER_03]: You know, it's like, who gives a shit?

[SPEAKER_03]: Who cares?

[SPEAKER_03]: You watched TV shows and characters walk in?

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_03]: And oh, I'm a new character and people don't go, oh, I've been watching the show for a season and this guy is new, I don't know him every week I would watch house and the new patient would walk in and I'd say I don't know who this guy is and I would turn off the TV and it's like you know who it is or you know what people should be thinking.

[SPEAKER_03]: You know, AEW should be bringing in the best, you know, Siri, they should be wrestling.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_03]: Getting other good names and then the idea is, you may not know them, but AEW knows them and AEW has the urge to the ground and so you know, if they're showing up on TV, they're going to bring it.

[SPEAKER_01]: I was honestly all right with it when I was like, you know what, maybe they are like, let's put something into ring of honor.

[SPEAKER_01]: Let's try and get the Yoshi sickos to get a month of honor club and see, see what happens.

[SPEAKER_01]: I respected that and that it was just like now, I was just going to put the match on YouTube.

[SPEAKER_01]: It was like, what what what are you doing?

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, because I think people have been like, we're not buying honor club.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's not happening.

[SPEAKER_03]: So anyway, but Kelly you watched the match.

[SPEAKER_01]: I actually watched the match was awesome.

[SPEAKER_01]: I went for an quarter on it.

[SPEAKER_01]: Well worth your time and watching for free and the ring of honor YouTube.

[SPEAKER_03]: We've now talked about Ring of Honor for 10 minutes during the start-up portion of the show.

[SPEAKER_01]: We've talked more about Ring of Honor than Tony has talked to anyone about Ring of Honor in years.

[SPEAKER_03]: But anyway, back to actual start-up, they had a quirk and haul just a little bit of go on the 11th.

[SPEAKER_03]: in front of 1376 fans, so a little bit down from their last show.

[SPEAKER_03]: This show I think clearly was definitely a lesser corrican for them, so the number makes sense.

[SPEAKER_03]: I thought overall the show was fine.

[SPEAKER_03]: I think it's a show that if you missed or if you skipped, your world would not change or end.

[SPEAKER_03]: Top three were all solid.

[SPEAKER_03]: I saw some people who really liked Hazuki, defeating Kogama for the CMLL, Japan Women's title.

[SPEAKER_03]: I liked it.

[SPEAKER_03]: I thought it was solid, but I went like three and a half.

[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe would've gone three and three quarters.

[SPEAKER_01]: That's where I was.

[SPEAKER_01]: And that's one of those where it's like, that's a solid score, but for those two, it's disappointing.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and it's like, okay, it's not the main event like it made sense, but it was sort of like, okay, this match is fine, you know, the main event was the goddesses of start and title match, Torah and Ruaqah, retaining the tag titles against Ami Soray and Lady C, a match I did, you know, it's got the hate stuff in it, it was sort of whatever, it's uk-e-e-ok-e and renaimashita coming out at the end to challenge.

[SPEAKER_03]: I have to say, you know, I also saw Aoki was on the show earlier in a match teaming with her Mi-Vita Loka compatriots.

[SPEAKER_03]: She is someone like when she was in the Indies and was sort of like the flavor of the year when it's like, oh, here's a new person who can challenge for every single title that exists in the independence.

[SPEAKER_03]: It was like, ah, whatever, she's [SPEAKER_03]: average.

[SPEAKER_03]: Now that she's in startup, I'm sort of like, I don't want to see this.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's like Rina.

[SPEAKER_03]: Great.

[SPEAKER_03]: I like Rina.

[SPEAKER_03]: Very good.

[SPEAKER_03]: Happy to see that.

[SPEAKER_03]: I'm like, Ah, it's okay.

[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_03]: Start a main events.

[SPEAKER_03]: uh, you know, maybe it's not a made of it.

[SPEAKER_03]: Um, but I'm just sort of like, ah, no, thank you.

[SPEAKER_01]: She definitely feels like the last person they decided on for that group, or they're like, fuck, we need to fill one more space and then they just looked outside and saw her and they're like, sure.

[SPEAKER_01]: All right.

[SPEAKER_03]: It feels like someone who they were like, ah, we're going out and finding people and it was like, oh, this, we know this person is willing to lose.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you know, they they have a cure in the group, but it's like, okay, if we need to have bigger matches like this tag team match, it's like, Aoki will lose she won't have a problem with losing because it's she does it a lot, you know, Bozilla is not going to lose.

[SPEAKER_03]: I'm sure Rina is like, I'm not coming in here to lose all the time.

[SPEAKER_01]: Rina's like, whoa, whoa, whoa, I'm the super Asia champion.

[SPEAKER_01]: I ain't taking pins.

[SPEAKER_03]: I've wrestled in G.C.W.

[SPEAKER_01]: brother, yeah, I've been going to work for me and I claimed champion in G.C.W.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but it's just one of those things where she was so all over the place, I think she has the same problem like you, I have with you, which is yeah, like what was that four or five years ago, like every [SPEAKER_01]: You know who they should replace it's gay okay with?

[SPEAKER_01]: Junkasai.

[SPEAKER_03]: Sure.

[SPEAKER_01]: I think that would make the unit much better and very interesting.

[SPEAKER_03]: It would really would be very a very interesting unit.

[SPEAKER_03]: But yeah, Kelly, do you have any thoughts about any of these matches this show?

[SPEAKER_01]: Not really.

[SPEAKER_01]: It was what I will saw was fine.

[SPEAKER_01]: Like it was it was just a it was a whatever show.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I mean, the great thing now is that, you know, these cork and horses are up very fast because I didn't watch this live.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's very nice.

[SPEAKER_03]: Just remembering what it used to be like, well, we'll see this in a week and a half when it really won't matter.

[SPEAKER_03]: So nice to see that.

[SPEAKER_01]: But don't worry, we subtitled the promos before each match where they just come out and say, I'm gonna win and then they go wrestle.

[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to fight hard to win the match.

[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I've got a time limit draw.

[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, hang on.

[SPEAKER_01]: We also need to clip every match out, put the promos in there and then make it.

[SPEAKER_01]: There's no one big video file so you have to keep clicking the watch each match.

[SPEAKER_03]: you know, whatever floats some people's boats.

[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, what else has happened in the last two weeks in Joe she's seedling had a show on the fourth of October.

[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, that had a beyond the sea tag title match, Mio Shirai, and Nazi Samirei retaining against Amazon and Yuri.

[SPEAKER_03]: and Saiaida and Huzuki were both on that show as well.

[SPEAKER_03]: I think it drew like 700 something.

[SPEAKER_03]: Damn.

[SPEAKER_03]: So good for them, although I think it may have been part of something else.

[SPEAKER_03]: But anyway, Tokyo, Joshi also had a show on the fourth of October.

[SPEAKER_03]: They are now running their rookie tournament for this year.

[SPEAKER_03]: In the opening round, Uda Takami defeated Ren Kanatsu, Kira Sumer defeated Chikana Nase, but what happens in this tournament is that the winners move on to face each other.

[SPEAKER_03]: That happened on the 12.

[SPEAKER_03]: Uda Takami defeated Kira Sumer, [SPEAKER_03]: And the losers went on to face each other.

[SPEAKER_03]: So in that match, Cheek and Anase defeated Ren Kanatsu.

[SPEAKER_03]: So Kanatsu is out fully and now Kira Summer will wrestle Cheek and Anase again.

[SPEAKER_03]: And the winner will face Uda to determine the winner of the tournament.

[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, I like that.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's like a double knockout.

[SPEAKER_01]: That's cool.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I had to like sort of look at it for a little bit and be like, what?

[SPEAKER_03]: But it's pretty clear.

[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it's a little tournament.

[SPEAKER_03]: I think now that they've moved some people out.

[SPEAKER_03]: You know, I think they needed more than just, hey, we're going to have three matches.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, in this tournament.

[SPEAKER_03]: So that makes sense.

[SPEAKER_03]: Diana had a show on the fifth of October, two title matches.

[SPEAKER_03]: Kiyoko ino a retaining the Elizabeth title, defeating Tomoko Watanabe and Yuki Miyazaki.

[SPEAKER_03]: The soon to be retiring.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yuki Miyazaki.

[SPEAKER_03]: And the tag team titles were successfully defended by Iko Sato and Debbie Kaitel, who defeated Haruka Umasaki and Unagi Saitaka for those.

[SPEAKER_03]: Kelly, I know there's also Choco Pro action that's been happening in the last.

[SPEAKER_03]: two weeks.

[SPEAKER_01]: There was on the fifth they ran their show new dawn that was made invented with a super Asia title match, Reno Yamashita, successfully defending against Antonio Honda.

[SPEAKER_01]: This was really fun and it was kind of, you know, just your typical Antonio Honda match in the first third or so, but then they really turned it up and it was a really solid match in [SPEAKER_01]: So I enjoyed this quite a bit.

[SPEAKER_01]: I want four stars.

[SPEAKER_01]: One of my favorite parts came in the post match where they, you know, they have like the GM.

[SPEAKER_01]: She comes out and kind of explains like, hey, here's what we're doing in the next shows and then people cut promos and stuff.

[SPEAKER_01]: And Antonio Honda is talking about his loss.

[SPEAKER_01]: And he's like talking about how he wants to get booked for Amy Sakura's 30th anniversary show and it wouldn't be Choco Pro without him.

[SPEAKER_01]: And he's like, you know, these people, they're going to, they'll be chanting my name and he kind of leaves a beat there for the crowd to start chanting his name and it's just crickets and he looks at the crowd goes, come on, you guys used to be better reading a room.

[SPEAKER_01]: Wait, what?

[SPEAKER_01]: We're in a bigger venue and you get nervous.

[SPEAKER_01]: We're going back to the regular plays.

[SPEAKER_01]: And then he tries to do it again.

[SPEAKER_01]: And then they silence again.

[SPEAKER_01]: And then he kind of motions.

[SPEAKER_01]: And they start saying they're like, okay, good.

[SPEAKER_01]: Finally.

[SPEAKER_01]: It was very funny.

[SPEAKER_03]: Well, that's all that happened in the last two weeks of Yoshi pretty quiet, but not the next two weeks we got a lot going on.

[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, you know, the ups and downs of the Yoshi schedule.

[SPEAKER_03]: Startum has a lot going on, although the first thing again, we're going to start the start category talking about not start them.

[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, tomorrow, I think by the time this show is released, it'll have happened already.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, King of Pro Wrestling is happening.

[SPEAKER_03]: New Japan's King of Pro Wrestling.

[SPEAKER_03]: Why is this happening?

[SPEAKER_01]: I honestly think it's happening because New Japan wants to sell tickets and from what I've heard King of Pro Wrestling is not doing well, so they may just be throwing everything they have and just like look, this fucking startup shows are selling well, maybe some of their fans will come to our show, but it's idle match on there so that that's my guess maybe series like hey this rich American man's going to pay me a lot of money, I need to lose this title.

[SPEAKER_01]: And so I can go beyond their TV show on Wednesday.

[SPEAKER_01]: That could be the case, too.

[SPEAKER_01]: Masato Tanaka and Hayabusa versus Baleanaki [SPEAKER_01]: If you were just a Josie fan, no, they did not raise Hayabusa from the dead.

[SPEAKER_01]: There's a new Hayabusa out there, and I've heard he's pretty good.

[SPEAKER_01]: Also on that show being Mia Yatsuba versus Rihau, and Mesa Ruga versus Azumi.

[SPEAKER_01]: So we still haven't gotten an announcement of what Emmy is doing on the show, or if Rina Yamashida will be defending her title, so there's still quite a bit to be announced, but looking at what we've got so far, this show could be pretty awesome.
