[SPEAKER_01]: So, everyone, and welcome back to Jumping, Bomb Audio.
[SPEAKER_01]: The number one show all about the world of Yoshi, Pro Wrestling.
[SPEAKER_01]: My name is Taylor, and I am back.
[SPEAKER_01]: Here on the show, joining, of course, my very good friend, Enko Ho's Kelly.
[SPEAKER_01]: Kelly, thanks for holding down the show.
[SPEAKER_01]: I must time around.
[SPEAKER_03]: Happy to do it, especially when I had you out on a location working on building our version of worst merry gold.
[SPEAKER_01]: Building a version of worst merry gold?
[SPEAKER_01]: How is it possible?
[SPEAKER_03]: Because merry gold is worst start.
[SPEAKER_03]: I was like, all right, what if we do worst merry gold?
[SPEAKER_01]: Sure.
[SPEAKER_01]: What's going on?
[SPEAKER_01]: What's happening?
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, you know, it's the summer.
[SPEAKER_03]: So it's time for me to get reacquainted with the hospital cafeteria.
[SPEAKER_03]: You.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I wasn't sure if I should mention anything.
[SPEAKER_01]: So I was trying to leave it open there for you.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's our annual summer tradition.
[SPEAKER_01]: I go away randomly at one point.
[SPEAKER_01]: and then Kelly spends a lot of time in the hospital.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he has someone have a medical emergency and then they go to the ER and a man takes a scissors and digs a bunch of garbage out of your mom and then she's there for a while.
[SPEAKER_03]: So there that's that's what I'm up to.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, hopefully we can pep you up with some wonderful Josie wrestling action.
[SPEAKER_03]: I love wonderful Josie wrestling action.
[SPEAKER_01]: There was a lot of it, and I have to say not to put the cart before the horse, as they say.
[SPEAKER_01]: But a lot of good Yoshi action.
[SPEAKER_01]: And mine and stuff.
[SPEAKER_01]: Some exciting things.
[SPEAKER_01]: We had the end of the five star Grand Prix happen.
[SPEAKER_01]: We had the end of the Tokyo Princess Cup happen, and we had much more, including one promotion, claiming [SPEAKER_01]: Three thousand nine hundred and twenty people attendance at a show.
[SPEAKER_01]: Can you guess which show?
[SPEAKER_01]: I couldn't.
[SPEAKER_01]: Not the show you think.
[SPEAKER_01]: Nope.
[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, no.
[SPEAKER_01]: So we're gonna dive right into it.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not gonna talk about every match.
[SPEAKER_01]: on one show but we're just going to hop around but we are going to start with stardom stardom's five star grand pre coming to an end on august twenty-third uh...
before we get into the individual matches we will talk the final standings of the twenty twenty five edition of the five star grand pre four blocks of course [SPEAKER_01]: in the blue stars a block, Yuri Ahimei, one of only two wrestlers to finish with zero points, pretty logically.
[SPEAKER_01]: Ayesakura had four, Miyu Amizaki had six, Ruaqah had seven, Saida with eight, Bozilla with ten, as well as Amisorei.
[SPEAKER_01]: They faced off against each other, and the winner, the number one in the block, was Serriano, Kelly any surprises.
[SPEAKER_01]: In that point, total.
[SPEAKER_03]: Not really, I think the, everyone pretty much ended up where I thought they would.
[SPEAKER_01]: A good showing for Ami Soray in the tournament.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Had a nice, you know, good.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what the rounds are.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm very confused like what to call the rounds.
[SPEAKER_01]: A very good two three matchup.
[SPEAKER_03]: round what what like quarter finals that's not the quarter finals right now because you can't even be like block finals or whatever because that's not how these are structured the block semi final so [SPEAKER_03]: What would that be?
[SPEAKER_03]: The Wikipedia they call it the playoff match.
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_01]: How do good playoff match?
[SPEAKER_01]: We'll go with that.
[SPEAKER_01]: And say, or, of course, very solid.
[SPEAKER_01]: Blue stars be Momo Coco down at the bottom with two Konami with six, but got a title match out of it.
[SPEAKER_01]: uh Hina also at six rana at six Hanako at seven Momo Watanabe at eight Susu Suzuki at ten and three the the villain of all of Yoshi with eleven she's just too good she's too good everyone hates her for it yeah [SPEAKER_01]: I'll talk more about that when we talk about the individual, individual matches because I have a thought.
[SPEAKER_01]: No surprises here.
[SPEAKER_01]: I would say, I mean, Konami being, I mean, she's a really second to last because there's three people tied with six, but I'm probably not the place you would want to be.
[SPEAKER_03]: Now, you would think he would end higher than Hanako.
[SPEAKER_01]: And not tied with Hina and Rana.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Red stars, A.
Walkasukiyama, Unimizamori, and Lady C.
All finishing with four Azusa inaba with six, Macyar with seven Hanan with nine, be priestly with ten, and Sayaka Matani, the best.
[SPEAKER_01]: results from the round robin with twelve points, the only person to get to twelve points.
[SPEAKER_01]: It was announced that B will be a regular stardom roster member.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, no, thank you.
[SPEAKER_01]: Going forward.
[SPEAKER_03]: No, I'm good.
[SPEAKER_01]: So the second place, not surprising.
[SPEAKER_01]: And again, I mean, you sort of look at this and you're like, not that many.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, hot and doing well, but she's obviously getting [SPEAKER_01]: some wind behind her.
[SPEAKER_01]: So wind in her sales and there's really no one else in this group that you're like, oh, what?
[SPEAKER_01]: Why wasn't why weren't they up?
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: Why wasn't Laucosuke in the double digit range?
[SPEAKER_01]: It should have been number one, Lauca number two, ladies see.
[SPEAKER_01]: Flip the bracket.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yep.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then the Red Star's B-block re-on the other participant was zero points.
[SPEAKER_01]: Siyaka Karar with four, Natsuka Toro with eight along with Starlight Kid and Tomica Inaba Rina.
[SPEAKER_01]: Getting nine, Azumi nine and Natsupoi ten.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, Rina probably has to be the surprise of the tournament to get the nine.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, for sure.
[SPEAKER_03]: And Starlight Kid being that low.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, they're all pretty close.
[SPEAKER_01]: They're all put in a part between, you know, five of them.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, you think one different result could have been Torah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Thankfully, it wasn't.
[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, I think pretty, nothing too wild.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think here except maybe Reno.
[SPEAKER_03]: Depending on the...
Yeah, I was hoping Rian would get a win by the end of the tournament, but there's always next year.
[SPEAKER_01]: So how did we get to the end well on August, twentieth.
[SPEAKER_01]: They had the cage match calls them quarter final matches.
[SPEAKER_01]: So we're back to the confusion of what these things were called.
[SPEAKER_01]: The quarter final and semi final matches it started.
[SPEAKER_01]: with the three, with the, sorry, it's quarterfinals with the four quarterfinals matches.
[SPEAKER_01]: Susu Suzuki defeating Bozilla, Azumi defeating Hanan, Momo want to know how they defeating Amisore and Rina, defeating B Presley, sort of lump these all together because I thought they were all good, but I don't know that any of them were [SPEAKER_01]: Great.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, they're all fairly good.
[SPEAKER_03]: Like my notes for Azumi, beating Hanan and just say pretty standardly great Azumi match.
[SPEAKER_03]: Where it's just like, yeah, we're just used to that level of quality out of her.
[SPEAKER_03]: And I didn't enjoy Susu versus Bozilla.
[SPEAKER_03]: I thought that was a fun brawl to kick off the show.
[SPEAKER_01]: I will note that I believe every [SPEAKER_01]: Grand Prix match from here until the end had someone getting thrown into chairs.
[SPEAKER_03]: They were doing that way too much.
[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
[SPEAKER_01]: Am I crazy?
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
[SPEAKER_03]: They were doing that way too much.
[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, why every single match has to end up in these chairs.
[SPEAKER_03]: And there was a lot of that on the next show, too.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: No, I'm saying I think every [SPEAKER_01]: five star match and maybe matches outside of the five star have people going into chairs yeah it was a lot.
[SPEAKER_01]: It also is weird because sometimes they go into chairs and you're like wow they really flew and if you're going to do it every show you're going to have at least a couple where you're like well.
[SPEAKER_01]: You could have you know yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: You could have thrown yourself a little bit more into those chairs.
[SPEAKER_01]: You know please.
[SPEAKER_01]: So solid matches.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like I said, I didn't really think, I mean, the biggest one was Rina.
[SPEAKER_01]: Probably was the results would be probably the biggest one in terms of since you defeating Bozilla and Rina defeating be previously going to be interesting to see what they do with Bozilla.
[SPEAKER_01]: moving forward because she does feel very like Rossi, obviously, you know, having also been a miracle of like, I'm big and I do some things and then I leave.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: And it doesn't seem like that's going to be what happens.
[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, it is sort of good that they made her look strong.
[SPEAKER_01]: She got to the quarterfinals and then lost, so she has something to do as opposed to the Rossi booking, which would have been like she would have run over everyone for a month and then lost a title match and disappeared.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I like that.
[SPEAKER_03]: And she's got the rivalry brewing with, uh, I'm sorry, which is cool.
[SPEAKER_03]: And, you know, she's in the faction with Susu.
[SPEAKER_03]: So she's she's doing stuff.
[SPEAKER_01]: Then after a tag match, non-ternament tag match in the middle of the show, we got on to the semi finals, the first semi final, series unknown defeating Susu Suzuki Kelly.
[SPEAKER_01]: What were your thoughts on this first semi final match?
[SPEAKER_03]: I thought it was paced well, but there I don't know, it's just got a little clunky for me at times, but I guess you should expect that with Susie wrestling or second match that night.
[SPEAKER_03]: She's already not the smoothest wrestler, so when she's a little tired, then yeah, things are going to be a little clunky.
[SPEAKER_03]: I liked it well enough though, I don't have three and a half on it.
[SPEAKER_01]: I actually liked all the semi-final matches quite a lot.
[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't really write down notes on these, but I think I would have gone like three and three quarters or four.
[SPEAKER_01]: I just thought they were good action like series.
[SPEAKER_01]: So like this one, good kick off for the semi-finals.
[SPEAKER_01]: The next match was Azumi defeating Sia Kamatani.
[SPEAKER_01]: This for me was the best match of the semi-finals.
[SPEAKER_01]: I went four and a half stars.
[SPEAKER_01]: I thought it was really good.
[SPEAKER_01]: As we've sort of talked about on the show and our repeating now, like Sia has gotten very good.
[SPEAKER_01]: As the initial Sia, what's the word I'm looking for?
[SPEAKER_03]: Haters.
[SPEAKER_01]: I doubters.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, here's the thing.
[SPEAKER_03]: I was thinking recently about starting and how much we used to complain about them and how aside from hate.
[SPEAKER_03]: They have fixed everything that we said was bad about the company.
[SPEAKER_03]: And now they're in this new boom period, which tells me jumping bomb audio was always right.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I'll say this.
[SPEAKER_01]: I knew we were right.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, yes, of course.
[SPEAKER_01]: And that's why I was saying it.
[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, I don't know how, if, whatever, we got some of some of our opinions on the show.
[SPEAKER_01]: We got really slammed for in various places, but we were right.
[SPEAKER_01]: We were right.
[SPEAKER_01]: There was like this blind [SPEAKER_01]: devotion to something in stardom, where people were like, no, everything is good.
[SPEAKER_01]: Everything they do is the exact right decision.
[SPEAKER_01]: They've never made a single wrong decision, but [SPEAKER_01]: You had all these shows that people were going, oh, this matches the greatest match of all time.
[SPEAKER_01]: No matches ever been better.
[SPEAKER_01]: And outside of the world of Yoshi, no one cared.
[SPEAKER_01]: Nope.
[SPEAKER_01]: They would watch these and they would go, yeah, it was fine.
[SPEAKER_01]: Now you're having these matches that are good and people from outside of Yoshi are watching and going, oh, they are very good.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because it isn't just this like blind, like yes, everything they do is correct.
[SPEAKER_01]: start him cannot make one single wrong decision you know and so I was part of that she sure was and that she has changed everything about her game that did not work and now very good and Azumi [SPEAKER_01]: Who I have been on the shit, go back to episode one of this podcast.
[SPEAKER_01]: I promise you, episode one.
[SPEAKER_01]: I was talking about Izumi and people said, oh, no, Izumi isn't that good.
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, she'll always be a midcarder.
[SPEAKER_01]: She's whatever.
[SPEAKER_01]: She's fine.
[SPEAKER_01]: No, wrong.
[SPEAKER_01]: The same with Starlight Kid.
[SPEAKER_05]: Mm-hmm.
[SPEAKER_01]: People used to tell me, oh, Starlight Kid, she's fine.
[SPEAKER_01]: But she's, you know, a midcarder.
[SPEAKER_01]: What are you, you know?
[SPEAKER_01]: No, wrong.
[SPEAKER_01]: Again.
[SPEAKER_01]: We were right.
[SPEAKER_01]: We always were right and we always will be right.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yep.
[SPEAKER_01]: We never make a mistake, but yes, this was my favorite match.
[SPEAKER_01]: Great match.
[SPEAKER_01]: Really well paced.
[SPEAKER_01]: I should say Kelly for you.
[SPEAKER_01]: I did watch both of these five star matches and the Tokyo Joshi finals with my girlfriend who turned against Dachi in the progress of the shows.
[SPEAKER_01]: Hell yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: She became very annoyed with Dai Chi throughout the proceedings.
[SPEAKER_03]: And that's crazy because I feel like he has he has improved as well.
[SPEAKER_03]: Like he is nowhere near as bad as he used to be, but he's not still not great.
[SPEAKER_01]: She was very annoyed with the count with the with the cadence of counting.
[SPEAKER_01]: And also that if you do notice and I think sometimes we don't notice this just because we're like, oh, it's happening.
[SPEAKER_01]: Is that dicey sometimes is not looking at the pin when he is counting.
[SPEAKER_03]: No, not at all.
[SPEAKER_01]: And that was brought up multiple times and I was like, well, you are right.
[SPEAKER_01]: I guess I'm not, I guess I just don't look at him anymore.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, ref blindness where I'm like, as long as what needs to happen happens, I don't actually want to think or look at the rep in any wrestling that I'm a referee is best when you don't even realize they're there.
[SPEAKER_01]: When you're like, they are counting, is the count correct?
[SPEAKER_01]: Should the match be continuing or stopping?
[SPEAKER_01]: Is that all happening?
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, keep moving.
[SPEAKER_03]: You know who the best referee is?
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know because I don't know their name.
[SPEAKER_01]: Correct.
[SPEAKER_01]: So, yes.
[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, this, the highlight, you have anything more on Azumi, sci-a-comitani.
[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, I also love this match.
[SPEAKER_03]: I also went four and a half on it.
[SPEAKER_03]: I really like how a big part of Azumi's character now is just she's so resilient.
[SPEAKER_03]: Like she fought off Bozilla and just kept, you know, fighting her until she'd tired her out and was able to win.
[SPEAKER_03]: And she just took all this offense from Sya and basically kind of did the rope adope and eventually came back and beat her here too.
[SPEAKER_03]: So I [SPEAKER_03]: I think that's fun.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's a good way to handle Izumi, who's, you know, very much on the smaller side of things, but she's just so technically skilled and smart in ring as of what she's already got to be a twelve year veteran at least.
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, is it that one?
[SPEAKER_03]: It's close.
[SPEAKER_01]: Izumi is eleven.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I guess that makes sense.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, I haven't been watching that long, but I guess I have because I was watching when Izumi started, which I'm like, oh, that's because we're old now.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, no.
[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm like, it can't possibly be twelve years.
[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm like, it's isn't twelve years.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's eleven years.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's so much better.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, I mean, is a veteran, really?
[SPEAKER_03]: She's going to be on the thirty for thirty for another eight years.
[SPEAKER_03]: And she's already a ten plus year veteran.
[SPEAKER_01]: The semi final was to me, the funniest match of any of these shows.
[SPEAKER_01]: Momo Watanabe defeating Seri in fifteen minutes, thirteen seconds.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I know the whole thing was serious.
[SPEAKER_01]: She's like, oh, I'm better than all of you.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, get lost and you know, start them like all these start them wrestlers blah blah blah.
[SPEAKER_01]: And that's why the fans are bullying her.
[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm like against hate.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, there's blatant cheating and everyone's sort of like, uh, and then everyone gets out of the ring and they're like, yeah, Momo.
[SPEAKER_01]: They're just like, I do not see.
[SPEAKER_01]: I do not see the cheating.
[SPEAKER_03]: Everyone is dead.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'll move on.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, but part of it is like, hate is such a useless group that you're like, they're so stupid.
[SPEAKER_01]: That I'm like, yeah, no wonder you can ignore this blatant cheating because you know they're just this dumb group.
[SPEAKER_01]: And you're more focused on booing.
[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry.
[SPEAKER_01]: It was just very strange.
[SPEAKER_01]: Another thing I was watching with my girlfriend and I was like series great blah blah blah.
[SPEAKER_01]: They come out.
[SPEAKER_01]: They're start booing series.
[SPEAKER_01]: She's like, why is this happening?
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, [SPEAKER_01]: I was like, well, funny story.
[SPEAKER_01]: She said she was better than everyone else.
[SPEAKER_01]: And she was like, but didn't you tell me she is better than everyone else?
[SPEAKER_01]: And I was like, well, yes, but you know, yeah, sorry.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's the old me.
[SPEAKER_03]: Why are you bullying me?
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm right.
[SPEAKER_01]: So I also thought this was a very good match.
[SPEAKER_01]: I went.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think I went for an a quarter.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's where I was to.
[SPEAKER_01]: I enjoyed it.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I think the weirdness of like who's getting boot like the baby faces doing this thing and getting boot and the heels are cheating and you're like, is it little to me like I probably can't go higher than that just because it's so strange to me, but.
[SPEAKER_01]: Very good.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I think it was a case here where I they went till like the interference well one or two many times.
[SPEAKER_03]: But I think there was a point where I was fine with it and then eventually it got to the point where I'm like, okay, okay, can we calm down with this?
[SPEAKER_01]: And then the main event of the show, the final semi final, was Rina defeating not support in thirteen minutes and twenty one seconds.
[SPEAKER_01]: Another very good match.
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, Rina, a sort of star making week.
[SPEAKER_01]: for her in many ways and this was part of it winning this match another very good match I think I went four point four and a quarter again [SPEAKER_01]: uh...
just thought these were very well worked you know you look at the times and they're not staying out there for twenty five minutes like doing these long epics that they sometimes can get caught in it's like this fun where i think they're best is like quick paced even at the end when it's like oh we're tired we're working hard we've hit all these moves they're not just laying around for three or four minutes [SPEAKER_01]: selling it's like okay we're tired but also we're getting fighting spirit and we're fighting back or maybe one of us is down and the other person is doing something so I thought the pace of all four matches really was very good but especially this one so really a very good top four [SPEAKER_03]: Okay, for sure.
[SPEAKER_03]: I didn't like this match as much.
[SPEAKER_03]: I went three and three quarters on it.
[SPEAKER_03]: I just I don't see it in arena as much as other people do.
[SPEAKER_03]: I think she's good, but I just don't see her as like a top of the card person.
[SPEAKER_03]: But I thought point did a good job here and there was a good match.
[SPEAKER_01]: Then we moved on to August, twenty-third.
[SPEAKER_01]: at uh...
odacity right i didn't write it down in my notes that sounds right uh...
odacity general gymnasium in front of two thousand eight hundred and fifty six people know not that three thousand number that you've not was talking about earlier uh...
where we had [SPEAKER_01]: I guess Cage match also calls these semi final matches.
[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll go with that.
[SPEAKER_01]: The first semi final match was Azumi defeating Rina in fifteen minutes and thirty three seconds.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sort of broken record in here, but I thought this was a great match.
[SPEAKER_01]: I went four and a quarter stars.
[SPEAKER_03]: I was three and a half on this one.
[SPEAKER_03]: I thought the crowd was just crazy hot for this match and it really felt like it could have gone either way.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then in the other semi-final match, Momo want to know how to be defeating Seria no in fourteen minutes and two seconds.
[SPEAKER_01]: Another match, I enjoyed probably not the best match.
[SPEAKER_01]: This was another, you know, some interference and I think [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know why, but in my brain, I was sort of like, this interference is okay and this interference is not okay.
[SPEAKER_01]: How did I decide that?
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't really know.
[SPEAKER_03]: You just go by vibes.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think there is a thing where you sort of get to a point where you're like, okay, she can't cheat to win every match.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, which we'll talk about for the main event.
[SPEAKER_01]: But it was good, you know, happy to see as again, another original Momo Watanabe fan, happy to see her get a push.
[SPEAKER_01]: And we'll talk more about that in a second.
[SPEAKER_01]: And not these fake pushes that are like, don't you know, she's getting a push.
[SPEAKER_01]: She's getting one title shot a year that she loses.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, oh, cool.
[SPEAKER_01]: Great.
[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I thought this match rocked.
[SPEAKER_03]: I went four and a half.
[SPEAKER_03]: To me, it felt like this could have been the finals because they were working their asses off and just dropping each other on their heads a bunch of times.
[SPEAKER_03]: Cool, just brutal shit.
[SPEAKER_03]: Dachi was bad here.
[SPEAKER_03]: And he was out of place for interference spots more than once.
[SPEAKER_03]: And I think that's the kind of stuff where it's like, that gets me or only you just [SPEAKER_03]: Call DQ, you saw that.
[SPEAKER_03]: Don't pretend you didn't see it, you saw it.
[SPEAKER_01]: Then they had two title matches as well on the show, the future of Stardom title, Hina, the champion retaining her title against Ronnie Agami in eleven minutes and fourteen seconds.
[SPEAKER_01]: This was fine.
[SPEAKER_01]: Nothing really stood out for me.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think tough in the middle of all of these great tournament matches to then be like, look at this future of Stardom title match.
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, what did you think, Kelly?
[SPEAKER_03]: I liked it.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well enough, I went three and a half.
[SPEAKER_03]: Thought it was a pretty just a strong match between the two and I've been enjoying Hena's table run.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then we had an IWGP women's title match, Siri, the champion, defeating Konami in eighteen minutes and fifteen seconds.
[SPEAKER_01]: This one hurt by knowing that Konami had no chance to win this match.
[SPEAKER_01]: I thought it was solid.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I liked it.
[SPEAKER_03]: I thought it was, I thought the finish was great with sorry, just headbutting the shit out of Konami and then dumping her on her head.
[SPEAKER_03]: Just go to hard hitting stuff.
[SPEAKER_03]: I think these two have really good chemistry.
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't care what the fans think.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's my fucking champion.
[SPEAKER_03]: I went for in a quarter.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then the main event, the big one, the final match of the five star Grand Prix, twenty, twenty, five, some Momo Watanabe defeat Azumi in twenty, one minutes and eleven seconds.
[SPEAKER_01]: Thought this was awesome.
[SPEAKER_01]: I went four and three quarters.
[SPEAKER_01]: on this one, really good match, classic Momo, and Momo winning, getting that actual push.
[SPEAKER_01]: Azumi though looked great.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's a great place for her.
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, where she sort of gets the push, but not the final push, and it feels like they are slowly moving her up.
[SPEAKER_01]: as they should, but I just thought it was great, great nearfalls, hard-hitting.
[SPEAKER_01]: I liked the spot where he went to interfere in mobile was like, no, no, don't interfere.
[SPEAKER_01]: Just because I liked that and I liked being like, okay, if I'm gonna win, I'm gonna win on my own.
[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm glad that didn't end up costing her the match either.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I did think that I had I had an inkling that she was going to win based on a zooming beating sia.
[SPEAKER_01]: Because it's like, well, now Azumi has.
[SPEAKER_01]: you know has that victory to be like hey I deserve a match some other time where I'm like well though probably then give it to Momo but yes I also did think oh now it's gonna cost her and she's gonna be like oh I should have kept cheating which I got a cheat double now yes and I was glad it didn't come down to any of that really [SPEAKER_01]: mattering, I guess.
[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, just a great final match.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, two great wrestlers really well worked.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yep.
[SPEAKER_01]: Hard hitting everything.
[SPEAKER_01]: Everything you would want and expect from [SPEAKER_01]: The final match of this tournament.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: And I think I haven't, I know it's like, I think you only get this kind of match when the two people in it know each other so well and they kind of, they both grew up under the same wrestling learning tree in Queen's Quest.
[SPEAKER_03]: So it's like they know each other so well and we're able to just kind of put together this perfectly flowing match.
[SPEAKER_01]: So that is the end of the five star Grand Prix, twenty twenty five, but don't worry.
[SPEAKER_01]: If you're sitting there thinking, ah, I can't believe I can't hear any more Grand Prix action being talked about.
[SPEAKER_01]: Don't worry.
[SPEAKER_01]: There's a word.
[SPEAKER_01]: The miracle dream star Grand Prix is still happening and may never end.
[SPEAKER_01]: that is happening there hasn't been that many shows this week there was a show on the twenty second with only two matches and then another show that just happened yesterday the current standings are [SPEAKER_01]: In the Dream League, Reyes Sato, Chiyaki, both at two Maria and Sariyama, okay, at four, Mayu at five, Cocayama, at six, Victoria, Usuki at eight, and Utani up at the top with nine.
[SPEAKER_01]: Kazuna Tanaka at the bottom of the star league.
[SPEAKER_01]: Mikuayono at three, Chika Goto at three, Mirai at three, Chen Yoda at four, Misa Matsui at six, Nagisanozaki at seven and my soccer eye.
[SPEAKER_01]: At the top of the board with eight, Mirai, you fool.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, look, she's got three matches left.
[SPEAKER_01]: She technically still is in contention to win the block.
[SPEAKER_01]: I guess.
[SPEAKER_01]: But let me tell you, it doesn't look good.
[SPEAKER_03]: Now, I have a prediction of a Miku Aono surge to win the block because she still has five matches ahead of her.
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, no, four.
[SPEAKER_03]: She's got four matches.
[SPEAKER_03]: Never mind.
[SPEAKER_01]: Someone's got a search to win this block because it can't be my sucker.
[SPEAKER_03]: I entirely could be my sucker.
[SPEAKER_01]: I am being gas lit into this my sucker.
[SPEAKER_01]: This feels like, oh, we realized everyone stinks in this promotion.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm going to dig my heels in and I'm going to make sure this project that I believe in is going to just win.
[SPEAKER_03]: I think it will it's crazy because if you like when I watch those first two shows.
[SPEAKER_03]: My soccer I was like hadn't showed there's one of the best workers on that show.
[SPEAKER_03]: And I don't know if that means she's gotten better or everyone else around her is just so much worse.
[SPEAKER_01]: I also thought this, I was going to, I thought about bringing it up during the Tokyo Joshi stuff, but I'll just say it now is my opinion now is we must cease talking about marigold in comparison to start them.
[SPEAKER_01]: I know that Rossi came from Stardom, obviously.
[SPEAKER_01]: There are Stardom wrestlers.
[SPEAKER_01]: Mayu just came over, etc.
[SPEAKER_01]: etc.
[SPEAKER_01]: They are not in the same league.
[SPEAKER_01]: No, as each other.
[SPEAKER_03]: No, I really, the only comparison to make is that it's Stardom, but bad.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's all the worst.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's all the things I hated about Stardom.
[SPEAKER_03]: He just took all the bad shit and was just like, all right, I'm going to make my favorite kind of promotion.
[SPEAKER_03]: Bad ones.
[SPEAKER_01]: But I think you have to compare this promotion with Tokyo Joshi.
[SPEAKER_01]: That is the level.
[SPEAKER_01]: And frankly, I think Tokyo Joshi is ahead of Marigold.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, smoke some.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I was watching, and again, I'm sort of getting ahead of myself before we get to Tokyo, Yoshi.
[SPEAKER_01]: I was watching that Tokyo, Yoshi show, and I'm like, how is it possible that like, Haru, this child, is better than, eighty-five percent of the Marigold roster?
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, Toga.
[SPEAKER_01]: Are you taking Toga?
[SPEAKER_01]: Or are you taking Reo Setto?
[SPEAKER_01]: in a draft.
[SPEAKER_03]: You know, okay.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm trying to think of like, are you taking Susume or are you taking Nagisano-Saki?
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, you mean Julia, we have it home?
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, it's not even close.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's stardom is major league.
[SPEAKER_01]: That is the major leagues.
[SPEAKER_01]: Tokyo, Joshi.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think in many ways is not aiming for that.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think they have [SPEAKER_01]: You know, Bushy Road is very behind-start-em, and we can talk about cyber fight and all that stuff.
[SPEAKER_01]: But I think in some ways, Tokyo, Yoshi is where they want to be.
[SPEAKER_03]: Tokyo, Yoshi operates on very much the same frequency that DDT does.
[SPEAKER_03]: Like DDT has no [SPEAKER_03]: There's no thought that they're going to overtake New Japan.
[SPEAKER_03]: Like that's just not going to happen.
[SPEAKER_03]: So they are going to work on with their own niche and do what they do.
[SPEAKER_03]: And I think Tokyo Yoshi is very much the same.
[SPEAKER_01]: But you know, you leave.
[SPEAKER_01]: You sign all these rookies to Mirror Gold.
[SPEAKER_01]: You better have someone who can, you know, [SPEAKER_01]: You're currently getting laughed in rookie development by, of course, Stardom, Tokyo, Joshi.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, marvelous has come in and essentially saved the promotion by giving you these random people, you know, that are all better than the roster you have.
[SPEAKER_01]: And I like the marvelous.
[SPEAKER_03]: Don't all these rookies from other promotions.
[SPEAKER_03]: And then we're like, you know what?
[SPEAKER_03]: I need to train you any more.
[SPEAKER_03]: You're good.
[SPEAKER_03]: You're a finished product.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, we know your father.
[SPEAKER_01]: We know your uncle.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so you're all good.
[SPEAKER_01]: Go wide.
[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, it's just crazy to me and [SPEAKER_01]: I get why people compare them to start them.
[SPEAKER_01]: There's a natural comparison because of all the Rossi stuff and the roster, but it's like it would be like if we got on this podcast every week and we were like [SPEAKER_01]: Well, Diana is not quite as good as Stardom.
[SPEAKER_01]: They, you know, these shows, I don't know about these shows.
[SPEAKER_01]: Diana is not quite as good.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, of course, they're not.
[SPEAKER_01]: They don't have the roster.
[SPEAKER_01]: They don't have the, they don't have the funds.
[SPEAKER_01]: They don't have the, whatever.
[SPEAKER_01]: And we don't do that.
[SPEAKER_01]: That would be unfair.
[SPEAKER_01]: And I think it's unfair to compare Marigold to Stardom because Marigold is a poorly booked, [SPEAKER_01]: You know, talent depleted roster and the excuse could be, oh, you know, they're in new promotion.
[SPEAKER_01]: They're starting out.
[SPEAKER_01]: They're trying to get young people.
[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm like, it is weird to me.
[SPEAKER_01]: It is a bit funky that there was all this talk of, oh, start them wrestlers.
[SPEAKER_01]: Their contracts are one year and there's some of them are stuck and they're gonna come over whenever, you know, their contracts run out.
[SPEAKER_01]: No one has come to this promotion.
[SPEAKER_01]: Just for you.
[SPEAKER_03]: And really.
[SPEAKER_03]: Start up doesn't need her anymore.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, she left.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think mostly because start him was like, OK, well, we don't really have much for you.
[SPEAKER_01]: So go crazy.
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I also wouldn't be surprised to see a world in which she's in Marigold for.
[SPEAKER_01]: X number of years and then leaves and goes back to start him for six months for like, I'm gonna retire.
[SPEAKER_03]: Or she's in NXT.
[SPEAKER_01]: Or, you know, she's somewhere.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, I just think there was all this hype.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, this promotion.
[SPEAKER_01]: And oh, when Rossi was in start him, everyone was arguing.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, he, he should be in the wrestling, wrestling observer Hall of Fame.
[SPEAKER_01]: don't you know because look at look at these crowds that stardom is drawing and he's left and stardom has increased all, you know, uh, stardom is better in every regard now.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's such a great hall of fame guy.
[SPEAKER_01]: He can't attract any talent.
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, he takes a fucking bad.
[SPEAKER_01]: The booking is predictable and bad.
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I will say, [SPEAKER_01]: They had a dream star show yesterday.
[SPEAKER_01]: Kelly and I didn't get to it because it's been just happened.
[SPEAKER_01]: The main event was Utami versus Maya.
[SPEAKER_01]: We were talking about it before the show and Kelly correctly called that what happened with Utami and Maya?
[SPEAKER_01]: They went to a time limit draw time limit draw like there's no surprise here.
[SPEAKER_01]: Rossi is incapable of understanding that people need to win.
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, and Kelly, you may not see it in Rina, but Stardom said she's gonna win a lot of matches and we're gonna push her.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, no, and good.
[SPEAKER_01]: She didn't, they didn't do that by going, huh?
[SPEAKER_01]: She went to a time limit draw.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I think we should have her in her eye go to a time limit draw as a bunch.
[SPEAKER_01]: So it's just goofy and I may be sort of speaking to, you know, preaching to the choir because frankly, I don't really see anyone talking about miracles anymore.
[SPEAKER_03]: No, I think most people have turned on it by now.
[SPEAKER_01]: So I may be preaching to the choir, but [SPEAKER_03]: You know, I know one guy that watches it because he thinks it's funny.
[SPEAKER_01]: And that's it.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's their own, uh, DD, their own version of DDT.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's like instead of there being puppets that just like look at all these terrible wrestlers.
[SPEAKER_01]: But anyway, that is miracle.
[SPEAKER_01]: They have the dream star grand pre going on.
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, and it will keep going on.
[SPEAKER_01]: But what else is happening?
[SPEAKER_01]: Let's move on from bat.
[SPEAKER_01]: Sealing had their tenth anniversary show, two title changes, the tag team titles changing hands, Mio Shirai, and Natsu Sumire.
[SPEAKER_01]: The feeding Ayame Sasamura and Tsuki Aoki, and then Hiroyo Matsumoto, [SPEAKER_01]: defeating Makoto to win the beyond the sea title.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't really know about seedling anymore.
[SPEAKER_01]: It just seems very random.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like you give Makoto the gold watch rain, I guess.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's what that really seemed like.
[SPEAKER_01]: It didn't really fit like it just feels like they're waiting for someone to pull their funding and they're like, well, we don't want to plan anything because this could end it any second.
[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll just do whatever.
[SPEAKER_03]: Let's run some type of changes to pop some houses.
[SPEAKER_01]: In Oz, on the twenty-fourth, they had a show, Kakuru, retaining the Pioneer title over Ram Kaichou and Tsubasa Kuragaki.
[SPEAKER_01]: And Hiroyo Matsumoto and Zones, retaining the tag team titles over at Suki Aoki and Rio Mizunami.
[SPEAKER_01]: There was a light tube death match on that show, which I did not watch, but I do want to watch.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: What's with everyone wanting to do light tube matches with Jun Kasi at the moment?
[SPEAKER_03]: He's a cool guy.
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, he is a cool guy.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's like, it's very much seems like, well, that looks cool.
[SPEAKER_03]: Let's do that now, too.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then one of the other big shows of the past two weeks was the Tokyo Joshi Princess Cup Finals on the twenty-third from Kork and Hall.
[SPEAKER_01]: The main event seeing Miyu Watanabe defeating a riso endo in twenty minutes and twenty seconds.
[SPEAKER_01]: to win her first Tokyo Princess Cup.
[SPEAKER_01]: She got to the finals a few years ago losing to Yuka Sakazaki.
[SPEAKER_01]: So that very exciting Kelly, I'm interested to hear your thoughts on this match because I have my own thoughts.
[SPEAKER_01]: Right on that.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm glad we're not.
[SPEAKER_01]: That isn't that isn't the way I meant it to come out.
[SPEAKER_01]: I meant to say I feel a way about this match that I'm not sure is within the consensus.
[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_03]: I loved this match.
[SPEAKER_03]: I went four and a half on it.
[SPEAKER_03]: I thought the build like the construction of the match was very interesting because both of them were just kind of pushing forward like they were unstoppable.
[SPEAKER_03]: Like you had me, just with her strength, just beating the shit out of Endo and not really getting tired.
[SPEAKER_03]: And you had Endo who much like Azumi that I saw him out earlier just has the resilience take that beating.
[SPEAKER_03]: and keep on going and try and catch me whenever she has the chance.
[SPEAKER_03]: So I thought it was a really good dynamic and made for a fun match.
[SPEAKER_03]: I loved the bit near the end when Endo was walking towards me like a zombie and just went straight into taking the laser beam chop that looked awesome.
[SPEAKER_03]: So I thought they were both fantastic here.
[SPEAKER_03]: I thought this was a great finals.
[SPEAKER_03]: And I think I remember if I said, but yeah, four and a half, I really enjoyed it.
[SPEAKER_03]: I'd like to hear your thoughts.
[SPEAKER_01]: I went for in a corner, so you hate clothes.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: I just thought it was great.
[SPEAKER_01]: Sort of like you said, I think at the beginning of the match, at least on definitely on English commentary, and I think in the video package, they did this as well.
[SPEAKER_01]: They set up [SPEAKER_01]: the sort of, this is power and this is speed and I thought in the match, they sort of did that in a way that sometimes in matches where they're like, it's power versus speed and then they sort of just wrestle of a match and you're like, I guess it is, but like when Endo went on off and she sped up the match.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_01]: Where it was like, okay, she is moving around the ring.
[SPEAKER_01]: She's doing these things and me, obviously, with the [SPEAKER_01]: You know, swing and all the power moves and trying to lift her up, you know, having her on her back and taking her up the ropes.
[SPEAKER_01]: I just thought it was fantastic.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, me, you as I sort of am a broken record with this.
[SPEAKER_01]: Just an amazing wrestler.
[SPEAKER_01]: Keep getting better.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_01]: And I think outside of Tokyo, Joshi or Joshi circles is not going to get the credit because, you know, she comes out with the up-up girl.
[SPEAKER_01]: She comes out with the LOV song.
[SPEAKER_01]: And I think there are people who are going to be like, well, I can't take this seriously.
[SPEAKER_03]: Taylor, this match was very silly.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and incredibly silly match couldn't take it seriously.
[SPEAKER_03]: There's puppets everywhere.
[SPEAKER_03]: I just found the ground.
[SPEAKER_01]: I just thought it was great.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, Endo, you sort of keep that story going of [SPEAKER_01]: And it seems like I don't know if English commentary is going off on their own, you know, doing their own work or something.
[SPEAKER_01]: But it does seem like the story is, Endo is very good and cannot win the big one.
[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm very interested to see where that goes.
[SPEAKER_03]: I would wager that Mr.
Haku knows enough to go ask people, like, hey, what do you want me to get across here?
[SPEAKER_01]: I would think so too, but I don't want to take it as like, this is a pru, you know.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: This is what is happening.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's a good story, and I think maybe necessarily they don't do it, but I think that is the story.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's interesting in relation to Susu May and that tag team because I think at some point that tag team is getting back together, I would think.
[SPEAKER_03]: You'd have to us.
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, there's such a great team.
[SPEAKER_03]: You'd have to assume they do.
[SPEAKER_01]: So just really interesting, I think as funny it is that the past few episodes we've talked about the idea of the mid, like there's sort of a missing midcard in this promotion that they've got a lot of wrestlers, they've got a lot of great wrestlers who are like not in the midcard weirdly, where I'm like, this is a very strong roster, it's just not balanced really.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like I was like, look, Haru is getting a lot better.
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, Ren has only had a few matches, but has looked very good.
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, they're obviously starting to do something with Togo where it's like, hey, I want to be challenged.
[SPEAKER_01]: I want to be in these singles matches.
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, Yuki or I, I don't know what's happening there, but beating Maki-eto, maybe not the biggest [SPEAKER_01]: thing, but to me it was like, okay, at least we're not having this thing where Maki Edo is this suspended, like, show come back and just beat everyone.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's all the time.
[SPEAKER_03]: She went out looking at the lights, which is how you should always leave a promotion.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, me for Ashita is interesting.
[SPEAKER_01]: Walking a Himawari, like these are not really mid-carters, but they're all people where I'm just like, wow, they could be [SPEAKER_01]: You know, is Toga in that progression of Mirai was before she left.
[SPEAKER_01]: She could be.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think so.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think she's quite on the level because I remember Mirai was like, Oh, this person's going to be very good.
[SPEAKER_01]: But they have a lot of interesting parts and pieces that I'm fascinated to see what they do with all of them.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: And I think I saw Toga is going to be in a tag team with you in a monase going forward.
[SPEAKER_03]: And I think that team could be really good.
[SPEAKER_03]: And I think something like that will be a good learning experience for Toga too to work with a veteran like that.
[SPEAKER_01]: The other big show of the last two weeks was Sendai girls on August twenty fourth in front of three thousand nine hundred and twenty fans.
[SPEAKER_01]: Kelly, do we believe this number?
[SPEAKER_03]: Kind of.
[SPEAKER_03]: Because I know they had that gimmick with the tickets where people could buy them.
[SPEAKER_03]: And then the tickets that were bought would go to like school children.
[SPEAKER_03]: So I could see people buying a fucking bunch of tickets that they themselves would never use, but like, ah, someone will get this.
[SPEAKER_03]: So like that, I could buy it.
[SPEAKER_03]: It might be possible.
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if they were that many people actually in the building, but with the thing they were doing, it is entirely possible that is the amount of tickets they sold.
[SPEAKER_01]: That could be, I just looked at this card and I was like, what on this card is drawing almost four thousand?
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, a lot of people I like on this card, but like, okay, you have Siri in the semi-main.
[SPEAKER_01]: You just had Siri in the semi-main in start-up on a big show that had a lot of big matches on it that day before, twenty-eight hundred people.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I like to hero, you know, is it really team two hundred kilogram and Lena Cross?
[SPEAKER_01]: And Vinny drawing four thousand people?
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, is that it?
[SPEAKER_01]: Is it?
[SPEAKER_01]: Jinsati Shinsaki?
[SPEAKER_01]: There you go.
[SPEAKER_01]: The feeding super Sasadango machine.
[SPEAKER_03]: And that maybe that was a point match.
[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe it's not supporting Starlight Kid in the opening match.
[SPEAKER_03]: Did you see that not supports doing like singing tours or singing like concerts now?
[SPEAKER_01]: I did not see that.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, she had like a saw.
[SPEAKER_03]: I saw why am I saying she's like a singing show.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's not played a concert.
[SPEAKER_03]: Jesus Christ.
[SPEAKER_03]: But yeah, I saw on I think Instagram pictures from her singing to a pretty full crowd.
[SPEAKER_01]: She's a draw.
[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe she's a fourth thousand person draw.
[SPEAKER_03]: Look at so looking at this this venue the last show that happened here was a G one show from August tenth twenty twenty four and that show drew twenty six hundred.
[SPEAKER_03]: So what was the main of it?
[SPEAKER_03]: U.
E.
O.
Mera beating Yota Suji.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's just yeah so like it's not a great card but maybe it's just this area they don't see many shows.
[SPEAKER_03]: And they're like hey this is a big one and.
[SPEAKER_03]: They went I don't know.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, but anyway, what happened on this card?
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, Iosakura lost the Sendai girl's junior title to Yuna.
[SPEAKER_01]: We also had, of course, the classic Sendai girl's hardcore match.
[SPEAKER_01]: It was a hardcore tag team match.
[SPEAKER_01]: Ajakong and Dash Chizako defeating Hazuki and Risa Serra Kelly.
[SPEAKER_01]: What did you think of this match?
[SPEAKER_03]: I thought it was awesome.
[SPEAKER_03]: I love these crazy dash hardcore matches and having Ajikong and this one was a lot of fun.
[SPEAKER_03]: Dash and Hizuki both took a bunch of insane bumps.
[SPEAKER_03]: So this this was a hoot.
[SPEAKER_03]: At some point Reese's Sarah got hurt, I think.
[SPEAKER_03]: But yeah, this a really fun match.
[SPEAKER_03]: I went foreign a quarter on it.
[SPEAKER_01]: I thought it was fine.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think these dash hard core matches sort of are like high floor low ceiling for me.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like that.
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_01]: What's going to happen?
[SPEAKER_01]: She's going to jump off a ladder.
[SPEAKER_01]: She's going to go through a table.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like she's going to do some frog splashes and sort of the same thing happens every match like Zuki brought out that baseball bat and then sort of lightly bopped Ajah Kong with it and then they didn't really do anything else with it.
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, and Ajah, it's like fun to have her, but I'm also like just let her stand still.
[SPEAKER_03]: Let her go take a map and do wrestling.
[SPEAKER_01]: Mike, don't make her go up the ramp.
[SPEAKER_01]: into a suplex, which the English commentator sort of buried and I was like, okay, they were like, well, she didn't get that.
[SPEAKER_01]: And I was like, well, you're not wrong.
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, and then the semi-main was seri-defeating mekiwata keli you watch this as well.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, I thought this was a lot of fun.
[SPEAKER_03]: It was a good high impact sprint.
[SPEAKER_03]: The booking makes no fucking sense, but like I don't know, it was a good match for service.
[SPEAKER_01]: and then the main event was team two hundred kilogram defeating lina cross and venti to retain their tag team titles what else has been going on in ice ribbon they had a show on the twenty-fourth with three title matches uh...
octane fugita retained the fantastic ice title against totorosotsky [SPEAKER_01]: um...
the international ribbon tag team titles on chaman yapi retain those defeating abuki hoshi and kahomatsu shita and then monami katsu defeated misa kagura in fifteen minutes and forty it's against to retain the ice infinity title that's never would have expected ice ribbon to still be around at this point like well when we talked in january [SPEAKER_01]: I was, I, this was a corrican home show that drew like three hundred and twenty fans or something.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what the technological, financial, any of that terms are with Russell universe.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, like, is Sendai girls getting a lot of money from them.
[SPEAKER_01]: First streaming, I think it's been very helpful for Sendai girls because you can see their shows now.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: If I were Ice Ribbon, and I think partially it could be that they're owned by some other company and they don't want, you know, whatever, whatever.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, Send Egg Girls is not owned by any company.
[SPEAKER_01]: Marvelous is not owned by any company.
[SPEAKER_01]: If I were an Ice Ribbon, I would be running to Russell Universe and being like, please put us on your service.
[SPEAKER_01]: What's the worst that happens?
[SPEAKER_01]: You draw less fans.
[SPEAKER_01]: I can't imagine that would happen.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, that's just more competition for Marigold.
[SPEAKER_01]: But it's like you're making this Russell universe, you're like, it's the destination.
[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm not saying from Russell universe, like Russell universe, maybe I just ribbon did go to them and Russell universe was like, take a hike.
[SPEAKER_01]: But they have to do something.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like they drew three, twenty, which I think was an improvement over their last quirk in Hall show.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm pretty sure it was.
[SPEAKER_01]: The worst quirk in Hall show attendance is of all time.
[SPEAKER_01]: There's just nothing.
[SPEAKER_01]: And maybe they are like, well, we're making enough money renting out the dojo and just having the dojo and doing whatever.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
[SPEAKER_01]: I would just think you got to do something because we know that this promotion can be good.
[SPEAKER_01]: They've got some talent, you know, a boogie hoshi.
[SPEAKER_01]: They've got talent here.
[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't know, that was my thought.
[SPEAKER_01]: Again, saying it, not knowing technologically financially.
[SPEAKER_01]: If it's even feasible.
[SPEAKER_01]: But try something.
[SPEAKER_03]: Do they still do the YouTube gimmick?
[SPEAKER_01]: I think they do, yes.
[SPEAKER_01]: And I mean, they're still running.
[SPEAKER_01]: So maybe I'm wrong and maybe they'll keep running for the next forty years.
[SPEAKER_01]: Drawing a couple hundred fans to Corrigan Hall.
[SPEAKER_03]: Huh?
[SPEAKER_03]: Whatever works.
[SPEAKER_01]: Don't know.
[SPEAKER_01]: That is everything that happened in the last two weeks of Joshi.
[SPEAKER_01]: What is coming up?
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, Stardom has a big show at Yokohama Budakon.
[SPEAKER_01]: On September six, Kelly, this is really an up and down card.
[SPEAKER_01]: Listen to this.
[SPEAKER_01]: Siri versus Susu Suzuki for the IWGP Women's title.
[SPEAKER_02]: Cool match.
[SPEAKER_01]: Not so good Torah versus Miyumi Ozaki.
[SPEAKER_03]: Can Ozaki drag a good match out of Torah.
[SPEAKER_03]: I think she might be able to.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think it will be interesting to watch.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, if we good, I can't say it will be interesting.
[SPEAKER_03]: If we get police fighting the rest of hate, that could be great.
[SPEAKER_03]: I think if it just goes full of the academy and shit, maybe Torah learned something from this.
[SPEAKER_03]: Who knows?
[SPEAKER_03]: So I, I'm putting my hopes in Ozaki and I think she can pull a good match out of Torah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Starlight Kid versus Tomica Inaba.
[SPEAKER_01]: Cool, maybe one for the wonder of start him title.
[SPEAKER_01]: Cool, match.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then Siakamatani versus be priestly for the world of start him title.
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, no, thank you.
[SPEAKER_01]: Just start him, give it and start him, take it the way.
[SPEAKER_03]: I have more confidence in Ozaki versus Torah being good than I have in Kamatani versus priestly being good.
[SPEAKER_03]: Think about that.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, we'll have to see.
[SPEAKER_03]: Think about what we want to make me say that.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's the thing.
[SPEAKER_03]: I already had him as a beam.
[SPEAKER_01]: It sucked.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but that was just if that wasn't a title match.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, but I don't know.
[SPEAKER_03]: I B is just such a dud.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, she's going to be around for a while.
[SPEAKER_01]: So get used to.
[SPEAKER_03]: Can we get NXT UK back?
[SPEAKER_01]: And then on September tenth, start them will be at Corrican Hall.
[SPEAKER_01]: Four title matches there.
[SPEAKER_01]: Hina versus Ure Hime for the future of startup title.
[SPEAKER_01]: Dark Siluta will face off against Kogama for the CMLL Japanese women's title.
[SPEAKER_01]: May Sierra will defend the high-speed title against Unimizamori and it will be a six woman title match, Azumi, Starlight Kid and Miyu Amisaki versus Rina Ruaqa and Fuki again death.
[SPEAKER_03]: I gotta tell you, I forgot about their trio's title.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I have to say that they posted, start on posted the announcement of the card, just as the, you know, hate versus Neo Genesis.
[SPEAKER_01]: And they posted the image of the six wrestlers.
[SPEAKER_01]: And I was like, okay, as you me, start like kid, me, I'm a sockie, Reno, Roaca, and I was like, [SPEAKER_01]: What is Kira Yoni, I'm his name, it starts like, it went, it was not in my mind, it was gone.
[SPEAKER_01]: And I was like, what is her name?
[SPEAKER_01]: What is your, and then it finally I got fooking in death, but I was like, wow, I have not thought about fooking in death.
[SPEAKER_03]: God, these titles were last defended back in May.
[SPEAKER_03]: So they forgot about them, too.
[SPEAKER_01]: Tokyo, Yoshi will be having Go Girl Six on September seven and also not a major show, but just wanted to announce this title.
[SPEAKER_01]: Actually, Kelly, I'll let you say the title of this show happening on September eighth.
[SPEAKER_03]: I want to collect twenty three year olds.
[SPEAKER_03]: The big meeting.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, I think it's a show that's going to be about all their twenty three year old wrestlers, but I found that [SPEAKER_01]: title very strange.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: Like I pictured that being the title of like the next type of missile produce show.
[SPEAKER_03]: Like it's the start of some little drama they're going to do or something.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then in Marigold, we will have more dream star Grand Prix and Kelly, what is coming up in Chucco Pro?
[SPEAKER_03]: On the fifth, they've got a show called Game Changer.
[SPEAKER_03]: And on that one, you got the main event, a super Asia title match, Mesa Ruga, who just celebrated the one year anniversary of her holding the title, defending against Rina Yamashita.
[SPEAKER_03]: So that should be good.
[SPEAKER_03]: And also, I'm thinking, you know, Game Changer, you know, who works Game Changer, Maki Edo, you know, who just left Tokyo Joachie, Maki Edo, you know, I think she's making the jump.
[SPEAKER_03]: I think she's getting them chocolate box.
[SPEAKER_01]: I thought you were going to say, uh, I don't know who's in game changer wrestling.
[SPEAKER_03]: Um, uh, Bear Bronson.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yep.
[SPEAKER_03]: Slate is coming to Choco Pro.
[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, yeah, who's in game changer now that isn't part of the WWE ID program.
[SPEAKER_03]: You know, now I'm thinking about it.
[SPEAKER_03]: Do you think a start him has ever called Bozilla's friend?
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think they have and I don't think they should.
[SPEAKER_03]: Do you think they should call the other tank?
[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, no.
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, you know, I think I think him versus Nazi guitar could be good.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, we'll see.
[SPEAKER_01]: She's got to get through my Umiozaki first.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: I think, okay, you take hate and you give them the Reverend as they're like mouth face.
[SPEAKER_03]: And I think that could work.
[SPEAKER_03]: I think that could really work.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think these ideas are a sign that we've come to an end of this episode.
[SPEAKER_03]: All right, so now Hate will be a consist of Nazicatoria, a Siyah Kamatani, Jayden Newman, Tank, and the Roof.
[SPEAKER_01]: Kelly, let's go and Kelly's corner.
[SPEAKER_01]: What do you have to say?
[SPEAKER_03]: Ah fuck what I've been doing.
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't even know.
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm drinking bottle of Milo's family made since nineteen forty six famous sweet tea and that's pretty good.
[SPEAKER_01]: I saw a weapon.
[SPEAKER_03]: I saw the movie weapon.
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_01]: Did you see that?
[SPEAKER_01]: I haven't seen weapons yet.
[SPEAKER_01]: I do want to see it.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's very good.
[SPEAKER_03]: Do you if you don't know any of the twists do your damnedest to not find out because I kind of knew what the twist of the movie was going in and it was one of those where I was watching it and then like damn I wish I didn't know where the skills cause yeah a really well done mystery leading up to it's interesting.
[SPEAKER_01]: All right, I watched the birds too last night.
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, that was the birds too.
[SPEAKER_01]: Much worse than birds.
[SPEAKER_01]: I bet.
[SPEAKER_01]: But there are a lot of birds.
[SPEAKER_03]: You know, you see, yeah, you got so many birds.
[SPEAKER_03]: You can't keep them in one movie.
[SPEAKER_01]: If you like birds.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I would think if you like birds, you wouldn't want to watch birds too because the birds are bad.
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I'm also a lot of birds die.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: One bird gets shot and blown up by a shotgun.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's a lot like the start of fans yelling at sorry, but you're yelling at birds and when you're seeing you like boo, you're not better than than the roster you're not all humans go home birds.
[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, that is it for this episode of jumping bomb audio, but we will be back with you in two weeks time with even more Yoshi action.
[SPEAKER_01]: So for Kelly.
[SPEAKER_01]: I am Taylor saying so long.
[SPEAKER_01]: Goodbye, everybody.
