Episode Transcript

[SPEAKER_04]: Welcome everyone to SI Media with Jimmy Trana.

[SPEAKER_04]: Thank you so much for listening.

[SPEAKER_04]: On today's show, I've got Iron Eagle and JJ's Wad.

[SPEAKER_04]: They were outstanding great chemistry between the duo who are the number two, excuse me, booths for CBS.

[SPEAKER_04]: And if I'll coverage, they were great.

[SPEAKER_04]: Iron's been on a million times.

[SPEAKER_04]: JJ, appreciate him coming on, joining it.

[SPEAKER_04]: And because he doesn't do a lot of pods, [SPEAKER_04]: So, I and Eagle and JJ what on today's show.

[SPEAKER_04]: And then we have Salacata and Trane of Thoughts after we chat with I and and JJ.

[SPEAKER_04]: Tapping this week, if you're listening, we released a part of the early, we taped early in the week with I and and JJ.

[SPEAKER_04]: So there's a funny thing that happens about flexing with JJ and I'll get into that then with Sal and Trane of Thought.

[SPEAKER_04]: So it's all connected this week.

[SPEAKER_04]: And before we get to it, if you missed any recent episodes, we've had a great run of guests.

[SPEAKER_04]: We had ESPN's freeze Davis last week.

[SPEAKER_04]: ESPN president, Burke Magnus two weeks ago, Al Michael's Richard Dietch a few weeks ago, Kyle Brandt as well.

[SPEAKER_04]: They've all been recent episodes of SI Media with Jimmy Trenet.

[SPEAKER_04]: So if you missed any of those, go into the archive, check them out.

[SPEAKER_04]: Download, subscribe, follow, leave review on Apple, rate the pod.

[SPEAKER_04]: It's all appreciated.

[SPEAKER_04]: All right.

[SPEAKER_04]: Let's get to it.

[SPEAKER_04]: Ian Eagle and JJ Watt followed by Trenet thoughts in Salacata.

[SPEAKER_04]: All right here right now.

[SPEAKER_04]: On SI Media with Jimmy Trenet.

[SPEAKER_04]: All right, join me now, thrilled to have a NFL booth that is getting a lot of good publicity, which is rare these days.

[SPEAKER_04]: From CBS, S.I.

[SPEAKER_04]: Media Podcasts, veteran I, and Eagle, and I've interviewed the other guy a few times over the years, JJ, what gentlemen?

[SPEAKER_04]: Thanks for doing this, how are you?

[SPEAKER_01]: Great, thanks for having us.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, appreciate it, Jimmy.

[SPEAKER_04]: I watched most of the jacksville indie game, you guys are very good together, I must say it.

[SPEAKER_04]: I enjoy, there's a lot of food and pop culture references, mozzarella sticks and [SPEAKER_04]: all that stuff.

[SPEAKER_04]: And I can do a whole podcast, I think, just about food with you guys, not just because I'm a fat mess, but I end up as quarks.

[SPEAKER_04]: J.J.

loves food, but I'll try, you know, we'll do broadcasting stuff and maybe we'll get into some food things at the end.

[SPEAKER_04]: So let me just start with this with J.J.

[SPEAKER_04]: going from studio to the booth.

[SPEAKER_04]: Was that, did you want to do that?

[SPEAKER_04]: Did CBS come to you with that?

[SPEAKER_04]: Was it a no-brainer to do that?

[SPEAKER_04]: Tell me how we got here with you in the booth with IN for CBS.

[SPEAKER_02]: Now it honestly came about very organically after last season.

[SPEAKER_02]: It hadn't really been brought up before.

[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I had said my whole career and when people would ask me, are you going to get into the TV afterwards?

[SPEAKER_02]: I always said, no, I didn't, I didn't think it would appeal to me.

[SPEAKER_02]: I really didn't.

[SPEAKER_02]: And then I got into it and did the studio.

[SPEAKER_02]: I love the guys and the studio and had a blast.

[SPEAKER_02]: When the opportunity was presented to me to work with I and I was like, this is, [SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely, I would love that and to get back into stadiums with the atmosphere with the adrenaline and I love it so much more than I thought I was going to.

[SPEAKER_02]: Not only because of everything I talked about being in the stadium, being able to talk football in a deeper level and having more time to really percolate on those thoughts, but the team that we've got between I and Evan and everybody in the back, it's second to none, so I'm very, very grateful.

[SPEAKER_04]: I, and what has surprised you about JJ as an analyst in year one.

[SPEAKER_01]: First of all, I looked at my contract prior to this and it does stipulate that I have to hang out with JJ on the weekends.

[SPEAKER_01]: It did not say anything about weekdays.

[SPEAKER_01]: So this is just [SPEAKER_01]: I think the part that I had a sense of, but I've realized from very early on, JJ is naturally inquisitive and he's very thorough.

[SPEAKER_01]: So if he was gonna do this, he was gonna do it all the way.

[SPEAKER_01]: When we did the Netflix game last year in Pittsburgh, he asked me ahead of time, okay, so, you know, give me one thing.

[SPEAKER_01]: What's the difference in what I've been doing in the studio and what I'm gonna be doing today?

[SPEAKER_01]: And I said, simply put, you've been doing TV and today you're going to do football.

[SPEAKER_01]: And that's basically what it comes down to.

[SPEAKER_01]: That's not to say that you don't cover football in the studio, but for the most part you're doing TV to tell in JJ, hey, we need 11 seconds before the break on the Kansas City situation.

[SPEAKER_01]: Go.

[SPEAKER_01]: And that's it.

[SPEAKER_01]: And then you're done and then you may not get another touch for a segment or two.

[SPEAKER_01]: And in the game, every play is a factor in the three-hour broadcast.

[SPEAKER_01]: So he just asked a lot of questions and a lot of really good questions and not just perfunctory ones, next-level questions.

[SPEAKER_01]: And I think what I've learned about him is [SPEAKER_01]: Whatever he does, he goes all out.

[SPEAKER_01]: He commits himself to that role in life, not just in the broadcast world.

[SPEAKER_01]: And to me, that's why he has set himself apart so quickly.

[SPEAKER_04]: down JJ, what has surprised you about working with I and who's done this now for like a thousand years and is one of the best in the business.

[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I mean, one of the first things that's that's a bold statement, but one of the first things is he is so up to date on pop culture and everything that's happening in the world.

[SPEAKER_02]: It's incredible.

[SPEAKER_02]: Like the ability to [SPEAKER_02]: do jokes and things that are happening today is awesome despite his travel schedule and doing all the different games he's doing from NBA to ours to college basketball.

[SPEAKER_02]: But then it's also his ability to [SPEAKER_02]: Shape, a broadcast, and our team in the way and keep the focus where the focus should be.

[SPEAKER_02]: I think there's so many different ways you can go with a game and there's so many different angles you can take to start a game from the open to then throughout the entire game, how you're going to tell that story.

[SPEAKER_02]: And I think Iron is unbelievable at making sure we're always keeping the main thing, the main thing, and we never stray too far away from what's really important.

[SPEAKER_02]: and that's been really cool for me to watch and every week it's a reminder to me when we sit in that production meeting on Saturday night and he lays out for us his vision of what the game looks like, what the stakes are.

[SPEAKER_02]: I just I love listening to that every week and then going through the game, the communication during commercial breaks and everything I think is top notch.

[SPEAKER_04]: What I'm curious is what I've enjoyed about you guys is that you guys have seen and it's interesting because you're in year one and you've managed to do this you guys seem to have the perfect blend of doing the full ball stuff and keeping it light and mixing in some humor now is it.

[SPEAKER_04]: Is it a conscious thing that you have to do that?

[SPEAKER_04]: Or is it just your personality?

[SPEAKER_04]: Because there are other crews where there's no personality.

[SPEAKER_04]: There's no fun.

[SPEAKER_04]: It's exes and owes and you know, and it's not even just like analytic stuff.

[SPEAKER_04]: It's just, there's some crews where there's very little light hardiness.

[SPEAKER_04]: Is that a goal of yours or it's just those of your personalities and that's what it comes across as the air on the air?

[SPEAKER_01]: I would say a combination.

[SPEAKER_01]: I do think your personality is play a huge role and who you are eventually reveals itself on the air.

[SPEAKER_01]: But the second part is just philosophy.

[SPEAKER_01]: These games are important and we understand that.

[SPEAKER_01]: Anybody that works in this industry realizes that people are on the edge of their seat.

[SPEAKER_01]: But with that comes a bit of fun and levity.

[SPEAKER_01]: And just like it would be if you were sitting at home watching on the couch, you wouldn't be locked in at a level in what you would not allow a bit of humor in life to see through.

[SPEAKER_01]: And I think what I realized very early with JJ is his personality off the air as his personality on the air.

[SPEAKER_01]: And the fact of the matter is he's highly accomplished.

[SPEAKER_01]: He's going to be a Hall of Famer.

[SPEAKER_01]: And yet, he does not take himself that seriously that you can't joke around.

[SPEAKER_01]: You can't bus shops.

[SPEAKER_01]: He self-deprecating.

[SPEAKER_01]: And I think, at least for my perspective, that's relatable.

[SPEAKER_01]: People want to feel as if they can connect with broadcasters on a human level.

[SPEAKER_01]: that make sense in the moment.

[SPEAKER_01]: Now, if you push it too much and you're doing comedy hour at the chuckle height, that's a problem.

[SPEAKER_01]: But you have to know where the line is and I think instincts come into play.

[SPEAKER_01]: JJ has fantastic instincts and I realized day one that what we had off the air could actually be a reality on the air.

[SPEAKER_01]: But what often happens is [SPEAKER_01]: I'm not sure there's an understanding from usually the analyst that it's allowed that it's okay it's okay it's okay to have fun it's okay to joke around if it makes sense in the moment but to me it's been very authentic and and natural and oh by the way.

[SPEAKER_01]: The best part for me, we don't talk about any of it beforehand.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's not like we work out bits.

[SPEAKER_01]: And then we're like, hey, second quarter.

[SPEAKER_01]: This might be none of it is ever discussed.

[SPEAKER_01]: It truly is coming from an organic place.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I knew JJ week.

[SPEAKER_04]: I think it was week one.

[SPEAKER_04]: JJ busted out a SNAP SNAP SNAP SNAP from the office.

[SPEAKER_04]: And I was like, okay, this is what we need.

[SPEAKER_02]: Like, yes.

[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I think like, I think a big thing is like, I said, people watching on the couch at home, like, we're both sports fans.

[SPEAKER_02]: We love sports.

[SPEAKER_02]: So even when we're off here, we're talking about sports.

[SPEAKER_02]: And we've watched thousands and thousands of games in our lives.

[SPEAKER_02]: And we know what it feels like to watch.

[SPEAKER_02]: So we're just trying to give you that.

[SPEAKER_02]: the information and knowledge and experience we have, but also that feeling of watching on the couch with your buddies.

[SPEAKER_02]: It's that combination that I think is really the secret sauce and it is trying to find that right balance.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, 100%.

[SPEAKER_04]: Now, like I said, you've been a smash hit here in year one in the booth.

[SPEAKER_04]: What has been the hardest thing, though, for you?

[SPEAKER_04]: Is there been anything that's been difficult?

[SPEAKER_04]: Anything you've had to learn and do in the games this year?

[SPEAKER_02]: Um, I mean, number one is it leave my family every week as hands down the hardest part, you know, saying goodbye to my wife and two boys is always tough.

[SPEAKER_02]: Um, but from in the boost standpoint, I think having, it's just a way it laid out and it's nobody's fault.

[SPEAKER_02]: But having so many Steelers and Texans game in my first year with everybody wanting to look at that and say, always going to be biased, he's going to have these.

[SPEAKER_02]: pretty notions and with his brother, with his former team, I think that we've handled it as good as you can handle it, but I think that did present the biggest challenge by far just being very conscious of it and making sure that we were doing things the right way that way.

[SPEAKER_04]: I see and that's an interesting one because I always I sort of look at it like okay we know your brother is TJ why you're allowed to be biased if you want like it's your freaking brother like so But if you want to take in seriously as a commentator and if you want to be taking seriously in this business for a long the long term [SPEAKER_02]: Sure, short term could it be cool to hear somebody's brother calling their game and some big moments.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, and we had the moment where he passed my sack record I think we handled that really well, and that was cool, but I take this role very serious and I want to be very good at this not just for one year, but for a long period of time So I want all fan bases to be able to look at it and say yeah, he's just going to call the game the way he sees it regardless [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I'm talking more like, listen, if you got on the air, I'm like, oh my god, I can't believe this deal is lost this game.

[SPEAKER_04]: I'm going to throw up.

[SPEAKER_04]: I'm ticked to my stomach.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, that would be over the top.

[SPEAKER_04]: If you so like your brother getting held on your on a plane, you're like, you know, yes, he's my brother, but you know, there was a pull of the jersey there.

[SPEAKER_04]: I think people would excuse the brotherly love coming through.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think there's definitely moments I've gone the opposite way.

[SPEAKER_02]: I think there's moments where which I has been awesome at.

[SPEAKER_02]: I definitely have to say that.

[SPEAKER_02]: So like TJ, we had the cold stealer's game.

[SPEAKER_02]: TJ makes a massive strip sack to change the entire moment to the game.

[SPEAKER_02]: I and takes that call.

[SPEAKER_02]: Does it justice the way that he does it in an incredible level?

[SPEAKER_02]: I get to lay out for five, six, seven seconds and let it breathe and then come in with the analysis of the play.

[SPEAKER_02]: So he handles the excitement of it, and I get to come in on the backside and analyze it, which I'm very thankful, because he understands what situation I'm in.

[SPEAKER_04]: If you're like me, you have the same holiday pattern.

[SPEAKER_04]: Tell yourself you'll pick out a thoughtful gift.

[SPEAKER_04]: Panic at the last minute.

[SPEAKER_04]: And then of course, by a gift card.

[SPEAKER_04]: This year, I skipped the panic and gave an or a frame or frames or smart Wi-Fi connected digital picture frames that let you easily share and display photos and videos from your phone to a high-quality screen featuring automatic brightness, adjustment, unlimited storage and private sharing with family [SPEAKER_04]: making them ideal for gifting and staying connected with loved ones.

[SPEAKER_04]: I never know what to get my mom, but you can always count on photos of her grandchildren now you do it with an ore frame and it's perfect.

[SPEAKER_04]: can't stress it enough.

[SPEAKER_04]: Grandparents, the ore frame is a perfect gift loaded up with photos and videos from their grandkids and then everyone is happy for a limited time.

[SPEAKER_04]: Save on the perfect gift by visiting orframes.com to get 35 dollars or as best selling, cover mad frames, name number one by wire cutter by using promo code si media at checkout.

[SPEAKER_04]: That's AURAframes.com [SPEAKER_04]: promo code SI media.

[SPEAKER_04]: So order yours now to get it in time for the holidays.

[SPEAKER_04]: Support the show by mentioning us to check out.

[SPEAKER_04]: And as I said, you've done this now for approximately 1,000 years.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, give a take.

[SPEAKER_04]: So that means you've worked with like 2,000 partners probably over the years.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.

[SPEAKER_04]: Is it when you work with the new [SPEAKER_04]: Do they all sort of, does it take each one different, a different amount of time to either mesh with you or give the performance, you guys want to give together?

[SPEAKER_04]: Or is it usually like they come in, they know what they're doing, it doesn't take that much time, because like you guys hit it all right away, how does that drive with what's happened throughout your career with new partners?

[SPEAKER_01]: It varies.

[SPEAKER_01]: No doubt about it.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's personality based.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's comfort level.

[SPEAKER_01]: I think the thing that struck me with JJ right away, the major hurdle that some new announcers will have is often the on-camera portion.

[SPEAKER_01]: And either being nervous, before it, or wanting to know exactly what I'm going to say to lead them in, [SPEAKER_01]: And that just has not been an issue.

[SPEAKER_01]: From the moment we began, J.J.

was incredibly comfortable in the stand-up portions of what we're doing.

[SPEAKER_01]: And to me, that while it's important, don't get me wrong.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's how you start the show and it's the first part of your presentation.

[SPEAKER_01]: it pales in comparison to the importance of the actual game where a lot of your focus should be.

[SPEAKER_01]: So you have to do two and a half minutes of television up top and often that is what is overwhelming for analysts to think, okay, so what's going to happen?

[SPEAKER_01]: You're going to lead to me and then I'm going to go to tape and then we're going to come back.

[SPEAKER_01]: and none of that was ever an issue for JJ.

[SPEAKER_01]: So his focus was on the game and on what was important.

[SPEAKER_01]: The stake, not necessarily the appetizer.

[SPEAKER_01]: For different analysts, I've seen just challenges in transitions and [SPEAKER_01]: When they're supposed to talk, when should you talk, I've had to do hand signals with certain analysts or tap them on the shoulder to let them know it's okay.

[SPEAKER_01]: That's just.

[SPEAKER_01]: Have some good advice.

[SPEAKER_02]: If I ever get a shoulder tap, just talk to the good log.

[SPEAKER_02]: I'm out.

[SPEAKER_01]: I was going to say, I would be terrified to give JJ the shelter to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell him to tell [SPEAKER_01]: I said, I, I'm sorry.

[SPEAKER_01]: We're not all the same dude, but it does change from situation situation.

[SPEAKER_01]: I won't touch you.

[SPEAKER_01]: Don't worry.

[SPEAKER_04]: Have you ever worked with an analyst where like in the first week, you just like this guy sucks.

[SPEAKER_04]: It's not going to work.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yes.

[SPEAKER_02]: 25.

[SPEAKER_02]: 25.

[SPEAKER_02]: 25 is a good year.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: I got it.

[SPEAKER_01]: But it got better.

[SPEAKER_01]: I've realized that some were nervous or some didn't really have a handle on what the end game was.

[SPEAKER_01]: They were just in their lane.

[SPEAKER_01]: They weren't thinking about the big picture.

[SPEAKER_01]: That's the other thing I must say about JJ.

[SPEAKER_01]: He made it his business to know.

[SPEAKER_01]: everybody's name what they do on the crew the big picture I think also something that was incredibly valuable last year he sat in the truck before he did the Netflix game he got to see the whole operation and I think he walked out there thinking like this is like NASA because of everything that was going on but had a real appreciation for what everybody does that goes a long way too.

[SPEAKER_04]: One thing I appreciate you about JJ and this is I mean this was going on before you did the games even you have opinions and you're not sure you're not shy about sharing those opinions and You have a lot of credibility given your place in NFL history.

[SPEAKER_04]: I'm curious because you've waited on the raves you wait a bit you've waited on roughing the passers stuff that really has to do with Hardcore football inside the game has the league ever come to you like for advice to pick your brain pick your brain.

[SPEAKER_04]: How can we make this better?

[SPEAKER_02]: I wish.

[SPEAKER_02]: No.

[SPEAKER_04]: That's crazy to me that they would.

[SPEAKER_02]: No.

[SPEAKER_02]: I've been waiting for them.

[SPEAKER_02]: An interesting thing of this is I've been wondering, I'm like everybody else.

[SPEAKER_02]: I always wondered like, do they tell the analysts what they can and can't say, do they get mad at analysts that they talk about the rest?

[SPEAKER_02]: So I've been waiting for the tap on my shoulders, they hate.

[SPEAKER_02]: or you're a little hard on the rest of your pal.

[SPEAKER_02]: But no, I have not gotten that in any capacity, which I'm thankful for.

[SPEAKER_02]: And I've texted Gene, Starator last week, because we had the Coldstacks in his game, and there were some tough ref calls in that game.

[SPEAKER_02]: And it's very difficult for those rules analysts to criticize the rest, because they've been there.

[SPEAKER_02]: They know what it's like.

[SPEAKER_02]: They know how hard that job is, and they don't want to, [SPEAKER_02]: Criticize their own brethren.

[SPEAKER_02]: I text a gene after our game and said, thank you for being so honest during our broadcast.

[SPEAKER_02]: I know it's not easy to criticize them because it gives us credibility.

[SPEAKER_02]: Because as we go on the air and we talk to the fans, they know we're giving them the honest truth.

[SPEAKER_02]: Not necessarily what somebody else wants or what the league would hope we'd say.

[SPEAKER_02]: So I think that's such a big thing and I'm very grateful for our broadcast that we try very hard to shoot them straight, even if it's not what the league may want.

[SPEAKER_04]: I was happy when you came out recently and said, you don't think full-time refs are the answer.

[SPEAKER_04]: Because my stance has always been, if a ref is doing something in March to learn his craft, whatever.

[SPEAKER_04]: What is that have to do with him making a call in the fourth quarter of a 2020 game in front of 60,000 people when it's four degrees outside?

[SPEAKER_04]: Like, it makes no sense to me.

[SPEAKER_04]: I don't understand what that argument from people.

[SPEAKER_04]: So when I saw that, I was like, all right, that's a good one.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I just don't know what they would do with all that.

[SPEAKER_02]: That's a lot of time.

[SPEAKER_04]: Right.

[SPEAKER_04]: Right.

[SPEAKER_04]: I should have mentioned at the top, terrible hosting by me.

[SPEAKER_04]: I should have mentioned the top.

[SPEAKER_04]: You guys have pats bills this week.

[SPEAKER_04]: You can make the argument, you guys have the best game of the week.

[SPEAKER_04]: The funny thing is here in New York, well, you guys are calling Pat Spill's, everyone he'll be subjected to giants, commanders, and jets, Jaguars, which I find comical, but [SPEAKER_04]: JJ, do you are you because I don't I probably does this because I think the veteran's do this.

[SPEAKER_04]: Do you get into the schedule and see where you're going to be and what matchups you have?

[SPEAKER_02]: That's the first thing I did when I got on board with this truth.

[SPEAKER_02]: We do before the season starts, we all put in our guesses for the entire year, which is obviously impossible.

[SPEAKER_02]: You have no idea who's going to be good or not.

[SPEAKER_02]: So we did that.

[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not doing good in those [SPEAKER_02]: But then, yeah, Dan Weinberg, our director of programming, I am texting him way more than he wants me to text him by a lot, because every week I'm watching the games, I'm like, alright, so what are you thinking here?

[SPEAKER_02]: Where do you think we might be, week 16?

[SPEAKER_02]: Why is it this?

[SPEAKER_02]: And he's been really good, honestly, about teaching me, I'm learning the X's and O's of the broadcasting side on the market shares and all that.

[SPEAKER_04]: I was just going to say, text me, I'll tell you where you're going.

[SPEAKER_04]: I know where you're going.

[SPEAKER_02]: All right.

[SPEAKER_02]: We've 16.

Who you got?

[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_04]: Let me look at what we've got.

[SPEAKER_04]: We've 16.

[SPEAKER_04]: All right.

[SPEAKER_04]: I'm going to look this up.

[SPEAKER_04]: While I look this up, I want I into tell me the craziest food thing you've seen from JJ so far.

[SPEAKER_04]: Like JJ said he had seven plates on Thanksgiving.

[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_04]: So tell me, I wonder if you've seen something that you've been sort of blown away or [SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to give away trade secrets and I think it's it's fairly public JJ gets hungry so that that's out there if he has not eaten there is a clear shift in his personality JJ is one of the nicest guys that I've built with but there is some line on the clock that if he crosses it that's correct things change [SPEAKER_01]: and his demeanor changes.

[SPEAKER_01]: And we had one particular situation in New England this year where I don't want to just speculate, but I believe our waiter had participated in some recreational drug use prior to our meal.

[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_01]: And the meal, it just was not happening.

[SPEAKER_01]: And we had a large table, and JJ had not eaten that day, and he was to my left, and it was building.

[SPEAKER_01]: And he was chirping in my ear, and literally saying, what is going on?

[SPEAKER_01]: Right now, are we going to ever get this food and we at our boss at the table and eventually the meal came and again, it was like two hours man, it was low hours, what was no food delivered to the table at all you had like apps and you waiting for the main course like we're they sprinkle the infield a little bit, but not a lot to the point where I had to get a broccoli dishes and appetizers and at some point James say literally is like, [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to have to eat the wrong way.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, [SPEAKER_01]: Now, you could share, I think NASA has the same exact one, which is odd, but I do know what we do.

[SPEAKER_01]: I think he has the same one.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, have a hot dog.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I take a hot dog.

[SPEAKER_01]: I split in and have, I chuck have into the garbage, and I eat half a hot dog.

[SPEAKER_04]: Why, why not a full hot dog?

[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.

[SPEAKER_01]: I think there's a form of guilt involved.

[SPEAKER_01]: I think my wife also may be involved when I can say I did not have a whole hot dog.

[SPEAKER_01]: I could just honestly say, but yeah, no, I have we could do a full show.

[SPEAKER_02]: I was going to say podcast on booze food.

[SPEAKER_04]: I want to do that.

[SPEAKER_04]: I was going to say I would be willing to bet every penny that I have that J.

J.

[SPEAKER_04]: What has never once had half a hot dog.

[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, absolutely not unless it was number 12 and a half.

[SPEAKER_04]: It is kind of psychotic behavior, I just don't know.

[SPEAKER_04]: I'm a sicko.

[SPEAKER_02]: It's awesome.

[SPEAKER_02]: I love watching it because if there's a weird situation where the dogs and the buns are separated, he's got to build it or if there's somehow it's not there, I love it.

[SPEAKER_01]: JJ, what about Chicago?

[SPEAKER_01]: So they had the hot dogs lined up, so they're pre-made and I open the wrapping and it's done Chicago style.

[SPEAKER_01]: And I can't eat it.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it was Chicago style dogs in the booth.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you didn't even hear about it.

[SPEAKER_04]: and God, that's a terrible job by iron because how do you not tell JJ hey, it's okay.

[SPEAKER_02]: I have portillos on the way home.

[SPEAKER_01]: Don't you know, he was fine.

[SPEAKER_01]: We you know, we separated half time.

[SPEAKER_01]: There's no speed a little space.

[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_01]: So we go to war.

[SPEAKER_01]: I black out.

[SPEAKER_01]: Is that okay?

[SPEAKER_01]: Any other we don't speak often.

[SPEAKER_04]: It's that when you don't on the burner Twitter account.

[SPEAKER_04]: I am.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, that's when I catch you up on all my burn or Twitter.

[SPEAKER_04]: Does JJ know I in secret Twitter burner account username?

[SPEAKER_04]: No.

[SPEAKER_02]: I know it.

[SPEAKER_02]: I don't have the username.

[SPEAKER_02]: No, I do not have the username.

[SPEAKER_02]: But I know it's up on everything because I can tell them.

[SPEAKER_02]: I could talk about a tweet.

[SPEAKER_02]: I just saw it.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, just saw that.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, you're on top of it.

[SPEAKER_04]: I tweeted yesterday after you have that great call, ETN to the end zone.

[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, ETN to the end zone.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, someone.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_04]: Someone wrote back and said, that was great.

[SPEAKER_04]: You should really have iron on your podcast.

[UNKNOWN]: I'm [SPEAKER_04]: He's been on like 10 times.

[SPEAKER_04]: What are we doing here?

[SPEAKER_04]: It gets me infuriated.

[SPEAKER_04]: Why don't I show you?

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, for all's grown to your David Letterman.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, I've been on a lot.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, and everyone always loves it.

[SPEAKER_04]: You've been on a lot in people always like, get iron on.

[SPEAKER_04]: So yeah, we're going to be in 2016, Jimmy.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, you'll be in Baltimore.

[SPEAKER_04]: You'll be in Baltimore for page race.

[SPEAKER_02]: See, your amateur hour of your Jimmy.

[SPEAKER_02]: You don't even know.

[SPEAKER_02]: Tell me why.

[SPEAKER_02]: Now you got to look at the Sunday night game.

[SPEAKER_02]: Are they going to flex that out and take that Baltimore game off Sunday night?

[SPEAKER_04]: I don't think they're going to flex it out.

[SPEAKER_04]: Well, if the dolphins beat the stealers this week, they definitely won't flex it out.

[SPEAKER_04]: Because what they usually [SPEAKER_04]: The excuse they give me with the flexion side now, no, they're not going to fuck you.

[SPEAKER_04]: They won't flex it out.

[SPEAKER_04]: It's happening on the real time.

[SPEAKER_04]: They won't flex it because the argument they usually give to me about flexing is they don't want to flex if one team is stolen the playoff on.

[SPEAKER_04]: So Miami, you could make the argument, is still in the playoff hunt.

[SPEAKER_04]: So that's why I don't think they will flex that.

[SPEAKER_02]: We're hoping, I'm with you.

[SPEAKER_02]: I would that game in the same way.

[SPEAKER_04]: Let me ask you this question.

[SPEAKER_04]: Who's more in the playoff hunt?

[SPEAKER_04]: Miami or Baltimore right now?

[SPEAKER_02]: Mm.

[SPEAKER_02]: That's a legitimate journalism question there.

[SPEAKER_04]: Football season is in full swing and underdog is the best place to get in on all the action.

[SPEAKER_04]: Playing on underdog is easy.

[SPEAKER_04]: Just pick whether your favorite players will go higher or lower on stats like rushing yards, receptions, touchdowns, and more.

[SPEAKER_04]: Get your picks right and you can win up to 5,000 times your cash.

[SPEAKER_04]: This week on Underdog, I am looking at that late window game for 25 on Sunday, Lions at Rams points a plenty, so I'm going to go higher on touchdowns for the quarterback's Matt Stafford for the Rams.

[SPEAKER_04]: Jared got for the Lions higher on touchdown passes for both Cubes and that Lions Rams game.

[SPEAKER_04]: I was going to ask you, you said, you told me you were going to cut your hair in the offseason and you didn't.

[SPEAKER_04]: Is that a legitimate journalism?

[SPEAKER_02]: It's it's got to get trimmed down.

[SPEAKER_02]: It's it's getting hard to tame.

[SPEAKER_04]: You told me that in August, I like it.

[SPEAKER_02]: I like having it longer.

[SPEAKER_02]: I have not quite figured out how to handle it.

[SPEAKER_02]: I am sees it on game day.

[SPEAKER_01]: When I put the headset on it like put there is it's a mess.

[SPEAKER_01]: Like I've never seen before and JJ was talking to himself at this point as we're getting ready for the halftime He had he put the headset on he's like Looks terrible.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's terrible.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm like what's going on?

[SPEAKER_01]: And then he angled the headset back trying to form it and I was a Lehmard man.

[SPEAKER_01]: I was a screen where you can hit the button and you could see yourself on camera and our guy Jose and the booth who's the best and JJ's like [SPEAKER_04]: So you guys probably will hate me for saying this, but given all this stuff that's going on behind the scenes like I can understand how CBS is not filming you guys 24 seven and putting over shit on social Is this stuff you go viral every like a JJ fighting with his head said I and ripping a hot dog and half like can we get this off of this good or count really [SPEAKER_04]: They wanted more Jimmy.

[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, we have put the licensing fees so high on that they can't breathe it.

[SPEAKER_04]: I know you guys got it wrong, but I got it.

[SPEAKER_04]: I can't end this without talking to JJ about this for one minute.

[SPEAKER_04]: So you have YouTube TV am I correct?

[SPEAKER_02]: from I don't you have cable, why don't you have cable, what direct do you know, Jim, you're asking, you're asking 600 level questions to a 100 level man here.

[SPEAKER_02]: All right, I want the quad box, I want to be able to watch a few games at one time.

[SPEAKER_02]: I don't even, I didn't even know cable still existed.

[SPEAKER_02]: I thought we got rid of that with the whole streaming situation.

[SPEAKER_02]: Somebody told me to put up and hand on my roof and attach it to my television, like I'm going to wire shit through my house here, like let's be honest with ourselves.

[SPEAKER_02]: I bought the one that was the simplest and easiest for me to figure out that I can watch the most amount of sports.

[SPEAKER_02]: I said give me the best package, put it on my television, and then I watched all the Monday night games.

[SPEAKER_01]: I need to use the love cable.

[SPEAKER_01]: I do not.

[SPEAKER_01]: You have to make a change.

[SPEAKER_01]: I.

[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I moved.

[SPEAKER_01]: I moved.

[SPEAKER_01]: So, okay.

[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I did change a long.

[SPEAKER_01]: I was a cable user for the last 27 years in the same location and that came to an end.

[SPEAKER_04]: So, you're, okay, because I was like, JJ, what not to get into your finances, but you could afford cable.

[SPEAKER_02]: Let's get it on.

[SPEAKER_02]: I honestly don't know what that means.

[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know what cable it was.

[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, because most people, I can't tell you what was that back in the day like in Wisconsin, I had like time Warner cable.

[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.

[SPEAKER_04]: That's cable.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, like I have Verizon Fios.

[SPEAKER_02]: Not good stuff at it.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I don't even know.

[SPEAKER_04]: And then you'll never have this.

[SPEAKER_02]: But I got it.

[SPEAKER_02]: It's faster.

[SPEAKER_02]: What does the deal?

[SPEAKER_04]: We don't have to deal with, well, it is faster.

[SPEAKER_02]: It didn't.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but cable got split up for all the streaming.

[SPEAKER_02]: So I thought cable was dead.

[SPEAKER_04]: I didn't give him my number of text me later.

[SPEAKER_04]: I'll explain to you because you got to go go wait Do you just you now from what I've seen in your video you have one TV correct with your YouTube Not in my house.

[SPEAKER_02]: I have multiple television Oh, oh, no, that's what I was going to put around one TV.

[SPEAKER_02]: I was full I was very busy, but no, I do I like I don't like multiple TVs I have had the multiple TV set up before and I found myself I can't focus so I just won [SPEAKER_04]: I need to clip this and immediately send it to my good friend Kyle Brandt because he was on the pot a month ago, and Kyle will die in the hill of one TV only, and he's pissed off at people like me who have three TVs and we are very synced on a lot of cows brilliant, by the way.

[SPEAKER_02]: No, I knew that.

[SPEAKER_04]: I agree, but he should have more, you both should have more of them.

[SPEAKER_02]: No, no, you can't, you can't, you're not watching everything.

[SPEAKER_02]: If you're watching two TVs or watching no TVs, if you have two quarterbacks, you have no quarterbacks.

[SPEAKER_04]: All right, so on the let's say on Saturday December 20th as a college football playoff and an NFL game.

[SPEAKER_04]: How how do you watch that I'm watching the NFL Okay, but if you have two TVs you can you can do the quad box.

[SPEAKER_02]: No, you can.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, yeah, if you wanted to Crab box you can do the Crab box.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, there's so fast different than multiple TVs [SPEAKER_02]: It's not, I, if the games are good enough, I'll put it on because I need to check them out, but most of the time I am watching a single game.

[SPEAKER_02]: JJ Watch, it has 400 inch TVs on as well.

[SPEAKER_02]: It doesn't matter how big they are, you still can't focus on more than one at a time.

[SPEAKER_02]: So you're still looking at one, I personally would rather watch a series on one flip over to the other game during the commercial and watch that series than be doing the.

[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I have a cable actually would help you more.

[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you.

[SPEAKER_01]: Great.

[SPEAKER_01]: That transition will be smoother.

[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_04]: When people say that, it's awesome.

[SPEAKER_04]: I have very few skills in life.

[SPEAKER_04]: Like you can count them on one hand and one of them is being able to watch multiple games at once.

[SPEAKER_04]: All right.

[SPEAKER_04]: Well, I really appreciate you guys coming on.

[SPEAKER_04]: I've enjoyed you guys thoroughly as have most of the, I mean, to get positive fan reaction in 2025 is just probably the hardest thing to do.

[SPEAKER_04]: So congratulations to you both on that appreciate those Patriots this Sunday.

[SPEAKER_04]: Patriots Ravens in week 16, I believe.

[SPEAKER_04]: And then hopefully you guys will come back on again, you know, next season.

[SPEAKER_04]: I don't be on regularly.

[SPEAKER_04]: He's Charles Grudden.

[SPEAKER_04]: And hopefully JJ this wasn't too painful.

[SPEAKER_04]: And you'll come.

[SPEAKER_02]: No, I appreciate Jimmy.

[SPEAKER_02]: I was very good to me.

[SPEAKER_02]: I'm very thankful.

[SPEAKER_02]: And you've said nice things about our broadcast.

[SPEAKER_02]: Our whole team deserves the praise.

[SPEAKER_02]: So we're very thankful for everybody watching us.

[SPEAKER_04]: All right.

[SPEAKER_04]: Appreciate you guys coming on.

[SPEAKER_04]: Be well.

[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you.

[SPEAKER_01]: And I won't [SPEAKER_04]: All right, joining me now from WFAN, already on New York, and why TV in New York, my buddy, Salah Kada, Sal has a going.

[SPEAKER_03]: Pretty good.

[SPEAKER_03]: I actually just figured out, literally, right now, as you were intramating me, how to do the full screen on the computer.

[SPEAKER_03]: So now I, instead of squinting, and I can't really say I could see you nice and clear, I could see myself nice and clear, so pretty good.

[SPEAKER_04]: All right, let's take your long enough.

[SPEAKER_03]: I know, really.

[SPEAKER_04]: Just for everyone wondering, we're not going to get to South situation this week only because Salah is still doing shows at the fan.

[SPEAKER_04]: So until Salah is not doing shows at the fan.

[SPEAKER_04]: When that happens, we will get into it full blown.

[SPEAKER_04]: But there's nothing to say right now because he's still there and told whatever happens happens.

[SPEAKER_03]: So nothing more than what we discussed last week, right?

[SPEAKER_04]: So we'll get into that probably next week.

[SPEAKER_04]: I need to issue a correction and a apology here at the top.

[SPEAKER_04]: So last week, we discussed the whole, there's a Reddit board now for the podcast.

[SPEAKER_04]: And I gave a listener named Cameron credit for starting the Reddit message board.

[SPEAKER_04]: And then I also gave Cameron credit because this all started from a post about me and the [SPEAKER_04]: But that was not Cameron.

[SPEAKER_04]: It turns out, another listener named Josh Feller.

[SPEAKER_04]: He's the one who got the ball rolling by posting on the Bill Simmons Reddit.

[SPEAKER_04]: Are there any Jimmy Traina fans out there and discuss the podcast?

[SPEAKER_04]: there on the Bill Simmons reddit page and then Cameron picked up on that and then Cameron started the SI media podcast last year.

[SPEAKER_04]: Me trained a reddit page.

[SPEAKER_04]: So two people deserve credit.

[SPEAKER_04]: Josh and Cameron.

[SPEAKER_04]: Josh got the ball rolling on those Simmons reddit and then Cameron made our reddit.

[SPEAKER_04]: So a correction to start off this segment.

[SPEAKER_04]: All right.

[SPEAKER_04]: I have a lot of topics written down.

[SPEAKER_04]: I don't find any of that phenomenal, but [SPEAKER_04]: Well, let me start with this.

[SPEAKER_04]: I purposely have not asked you this question since Sunday.

[SPEAKER_04]: So I'll ask it now because I want the live reaction.

[SPEAKER_04]: Did you have any money either way on the Raiders Broncos game?

[SPEAKER_03]: No, I did not.

[SPEAKER_03]: I picked the Raiders in my weekly picks on the show, so I would have been rooting for Raiders cover, but I did not bet that.

[SPEAKER_03]: Did you?

[SPEAKER_04]: Well, [SPEAKER_04]: I did the only thing I had in that game was I had over 23 and a half points for the Broncos.

[SPEAKER_04]: So that hit way before the antics at the end of the game and I was so out of that game because I had bet the bears plus seven and a half.

[SPEAKER_04]: So I was locked in on that.

[SPEAKER_04]: I didn't watch one play of that.

[SPEAKER_04]: Raiders Broncos game.

[SPEAKER_04]: So I really wasn't.

[SPEAKER_04]: I didn't know about it until maybe a half an hour after the fact.

[SPEAKER_04]: And it was just so preposterous.

[SPEAKER_04]: Now again, I don't I just want to be clear.

[SPEAKER_04]: I don't think the NFL is rigged and even the rigged argument for that game makes no sense because who was rigging it?

[SPEAKER_04]: The refs by calling the delay [SPEAKER_04]: It was the perfect storm of ridiculousness.

[SPEAKER_04]: They shouldn't have called the penalty.

[SPEAKER_04]: He shouldn't have kicked the field hall.

[SPEAKER_04]: But the game's out rigged.

[SPEAKER_03]: And that happened with zero time on the clock, on time down.

[SPEAKER_03]: Well, the penalty, there were five seconds on the clock when they kicked the field hall.

[SPEAKER_03]: So then, all right, so I wasn't sure about that.

[SPEAKER_03]: But then, let me ask you, what's why wouldn't they kicked the field hall then?

[SPEAKER_03]: Like, from a football standpoint, [SPEAKER_03]: Does it make sense?

[SPEAKER_03]: I know the game's over.

[SPEAKER_03]: I understand that, but does it make whether you kick the field goal a goal for it the game's over on that play.

[SPEAKER_04]: So I don't know like to me, for me personally, like take a knee and go home, that's what you should do.

[SPEAKER_04]: But [SPEAKER_04]: They kicked the field all there was no time on the clock at the end of the field goal.

[SPEAKER_03]: The reason why there's an issue obviously is because of the gambling line.

[SPEAKER_03]: It let's just say that it was a 14 point deficit.

[SPEAKER_03]: I'm still in my mind thinking Pete Carroll's going to do the same thing.

[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, well, this five seconds left we're playing till the end.

[SPEAKER_03]: Kick the field goal.

[SPEAKER_03]: Hope that there's two seconds left by the end of the field goal.

[SPEAKER_03]: Cause I'm sidekick.

[SPEAKER_03]: Hope that you get that bag with the second one.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_04]: Charles Davis said this at the end of the game.

[SPEAKER_04]: I'm really sorry, but it's the stupidest thing I've ever heard.

[SPEAKER_04]: We've got to apply some common sense.

[SPEAKER_04]: You're not regaining an onsite kick and getting a Hail Mary with all of five seconds.

[SPEAKER_03]: Wait, but you also can't give up if you're this whole hen.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, you know.

[SPEAKER_03]: With five seconds left down, two touchdowns.

[SPEAKER_03]: My point is, I believe he would have done what he did, whether you like it or not.

[SPEAKER_03]: I believe he would have done what he did, even if it were a 14 point deficit.

[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think, and now I don't know this, but if there is, then he should be investigated.

[SPEAKER_03]: But I don't think that there was a thought of, hey, let's just take the three and cover the spread for our fans.

[SPEAKER_04]: No, I don't either.

[SPEAKER_04]: I don't either.

[SPEAKER_04]: I think it was just you got bad luck there if you bet the Broncos, but again, I don't know why you're kicking a 46 yard fuel goal when there's five seconds left in the game's over.

[SPEAKER_04]: It is brutal.

[SPEAKER_04]: It is unbelievable.

[SPEAKER_04]: Oh my god.

[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, you know what?

[SPEAKER_04]: I didn't want to get into it.

[SPEAKER_04]: Well, you know what, maybe I'll save this.

[SPEAKER_04]: Well, let me, I'll say.

[SPEAKER_04]: A lot of you just heard I and Eagle and JJ what I taped that interview on Monday afternoon.

[SPEAKER_04]: I am taping with Sal on Tuesday afternoon and we're going to release the pot a day early this week.

[SPEAKER_04]: We're going to put out on Wednesday and say Thursday because I don't like taping on a Monday and holding it till Thursday and sure enough as I'm taping with I and JJ.

[SPEAKER_04]: I asked JJ about like does he pay close attention to the schedule and what games he's going to have and he says absolutely and he's dying to know what game he's going to call in week 16 and I said text me I know what game he's going to call.

[SPEAKER_04]: You know, sorry, what game might I call?

[SPEAKER_04]: I said, well, you're definitely going to call the Dolphins Bengals game.

[SPEAKER_04]: He's like, you don't think they're going to fall, no, I said, you're going to call the Ravens Patriots game.

[SPEAKER_04]: You'll see Jimmy, you don't know what you're doing because they might flex that.

[SPEAKER_04]: I'm like, let me see what the Sunday night game is or it was dolphins bangles.

[SPEAKER_04]: I said, I don't think they'll flex it because the dolphins are still in the playoff hunt.

[SPEAKER_04]: And then like in an hour after that, they flexed it.

[SPEAKER_04]: So, I look like the biggest ass during that J.J.

Why didn't have you?

[SPEAKER_04]: He looks genius.

[SPEAKER_03]: Which is tremendous.

[SPEAKER_03]: But you didn't think that if he would like lead you to, they might flex to Jimmy, that he knows if they're gonna be flexing that?

[SPEAKER_04]: Because they flex so and frequently.

[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, no, no, I don't think he knew.

[SPEAKER_04]: I don't think he knew.

[SPEAKER_04]: How would he not know I guarantee you we had to have some kind of heads up?

[SPEAKER_04]: No.

[SPEAKER_04]: It maybe actually he did.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, that's true.

[SPEAKER_04]: But he's leading you to a Jimmy.

[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, so now I'm an asshole twice because once I told him he, you know, there's no chance they flex it and now you're telling me and now it makes sense.

[SPEAKER_04]: He knew they were going to flex it and was giving me an out and I stole double down.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, this is a lot more needed you to the water and you're like, no, they're not going to flex that.

[SPEAKER_03]: What do you know about flexing?

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I got a, I need to take a step back, reevaluate things, take the L and, and yeah, that's not true.

[SPEAKER_04]: That's true.

[SPEAKER_04]: I love it.

[SPEAKER_04]: I would love it more if I thought there was any chance they would actually like they're done.

[SPEAKER_04]: This is all when I don't know what this is for, they're done.

[SPEAKER_04]: And I do like the fact that not this coming week, because who knows if I'll play this week?

[SPEAKER_04]: But the week after, they're on Monday and I football against the Niners.

[SPEAKER_04]: So the whole nation will get to see Philip Rivers at 44 years old, would 14 kids in a grand kid playing quarterback for the cults.

[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, yeah, I like it from a freak show standpoint, but from a football standpoint, I believe it's significant.

[SPEAKER_03]: But they don't have any, [SPEAKER_03]: They're desperate.

[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, they're trying to salvage their season, get to the playoffs.

[SPEAKER_03]: I love the story of it.

[SPEAKER_03]: And to me, it's worth a shot because they really don't have another option.

[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, it's like there's no quarterbacks out there.

[SPEAKER_04]: You got to get someone else and play it in five years.

[SPEAKER_04]: It's crazy.

[SPEAKER_03]: 44 years old, it's one, five years.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's great.

[SPEAKER_04]: With 14 kids, man, it's just crazy.

[SPEAKER_04]: yeah i mean listen i'm gonna i'll be into that i mean listen on sunday when i'm watching the game mix i'll obviously the cults get a quad box now basically for a little bit just to see what this look i i don't know if he's playing this week but that one the night game he got a figure is going to play for sure he's but he signs of the practice squad so i'm not sure what that means exactly we'll see i also want to say that on monday night [SPEAKER_04]: Justin Herbert did absolutely nothing wrong, and Laura Rutledge did not cure cancer.

[SPEAKER_04]: The reaction on social media was the most, because I didn't see it live.

[SPEAKER_04]: I'm seeing Justin Herbert was so rude.

[SPEAKER_04]: I can't believe Justin Herbert did this.

[SPEAKER_04]: This is a disgraceful way to act.

[SPEAKER_04]: What a pro-lora Rutledge is.

[SPEAKER_04]: Unbelievable job by Laura Rutledge is, I'm like, okay, so let me see what happened.

[SPEAKER_04]: So Laura Rutlidge is chasing Justin Herbert.

[SPEAKER_04]: He says, I want to celebrate with my teammates.

[SPEAKER_04]: She goes, OK, but can you do a quick interview?

[SPEAKER_04]: And he's to their answer three questions.

[SPEAKER_04]: So what's the issue?

[SPEAKER_04]: There are people at nuts.

[SPEAKER_04]: People can completely deranged.

[SPEAKER_04]: They're acting like he was this monster.

[SPEAKER_04]: And she was like, you know, Rosa Parks or something.

[SPEAKER_04]: Like it was ridiculous.

[SPEAKER_04]: Like it was just a reaction to that was one of the dumbest things I've ever seen in my life.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_04]: He's to their answer to questions.

[SPEAKER_04]: If people say he was rude, because he said he wanted to go celebrate with teammates before he [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I mean, I didn't see any issue with it.

[SPEAKER_03]: So I didn't pay attention to a real time.

[SPEAKER_03]: I see people complaining about it.

[SPEAKER_03]: The way you just lay aloud, what's the issue?

[SPEAKER_03]: And Sarah, if he didn't get the interview, she did her job.

[SPEAKER_03]: He did his way we go.

[SPEAKER_04]: Exactly.

[SPEAKER_04]: People are completely nuts, which brings me to the next topic, which is college football.

[SPEAKER_04]: first things first.

[SPEAKER_04]: I said on Twitter over the weekend that the Ohio State in the Anna game was meaningless and then a bunch of like in the Anna people were like, you know, you're talking about your an asshole, drop dead.

[SPEAKER_04]: You should die.

[SPEAKER_04]: We want to win the game.

[SPEAKER_04]: I want my team to win.

[SPEAKER_04]: Does it make a game meaningful?

[SPEAKER_04]: Number one.

[SPEAKER_04]: Number two.

[SPEAKER_04]: Before the game, Ohio State was in the playoff and had a buy.

[SPEAKER_04]: after they lost Ohio State was in the playoff and got a buy that means the game was meaningless so that's the end of that and noted it wasn't meaning it wasn't meaningless for Indiana though was it [SPEAKER_04]: Well, well, they won the conference title if you, you know, if you're into that thing, then well, what I'm saying, what about seeding if they lost that?

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, they got, they got the one seed Ohio State got the two seed.

[SPEAKER_04]: If they lost, it would have been two one, but there's no difference.

[SPEAKER_04]: You get a lot.

[SPEAKER_03]: They definitely would have been number two if they lost.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, maybe number three to Georgia, but I doubt it because they, it would have just full flopped.

[SPEAKER_04]: because they made Ohio State number two.

[SPEAKER_03]: The whole thing is weird.

[SPEAKER_03]: You know me, I paid more attention to it because we were in that pool this year.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_03]: There's no way anybody can convince me that Notre Dame was not one of the best teams in college football.

[SPEAKER_03]: You are much trying to get on that.

[SPEAKER_04]: I see I totally disagree.

[SPEAKER_04]: Well, let me say, when you say one of the best teams, I mean, there's a big drop off between like Indiana, Ohio State Georgia and then everyone else.

[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, they should have been one of the top 12 teams in.

[SPEAKER_03]: Notre Dame.

[SPEAKER_04]: Well, who do you want out?

[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, pick one, two lane, James Madison, what do you think?

[SPEAKER_03]: Well, if that's your argument, I can't argue with that.

[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_03]: Now, some people saying Alabama shouldn't be in, but I just will look at it, forget the conferences.

[SPEAKER_03]: Just tell me who the best teams in the sport are.

[SPEAKER_03]: What do you mean, you got to come right here?

[SPEAKER_03]: You got to look at the resume.

[SPEAKER_03]: No red team was waxing people left and right.

[SPEAKER_03]: You tell me that they're not better than James Madison or two lane.

[SPEAKER_04]: I can't, listen, I, no, no, I can't sit here and argue that James Madison to lane.

[SPEAKER_04]: James Madison and two lane have no business being in over like 50 teams.

[SPEAKER_04]: Right.

[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_04]: But the way they set it up, those teams get in.

[SPEAKER_04]: The Notre Dame argument.

[SPEAKER_04]: against Alabama is this.

[SPEAKER_04]: Now, if you, now listen, if Notre Dame would have gotten in an Alabama didn't get in, I wouldn't say a word.

[SPEAKER_04]: I don't have no issue with that.

[SPEAKER_04]: My point is, it can go either way.

[SPEAKER_04]: So for people to go crazy over one side or the other, is what I don't understand.

[SPEAKER_04]: Notre Dame's schedule was complete and total garbage.

[SPEAKER_04]: They played two good teams, Miami and Texas A&M.

[SPEAKER_04]: They lost to both of them.

[SPEAKER_04]: Their best win was at-home against USC, which is not a special team in any way, shape, perform.

[SPEAKER_04]: These were Notre Dame's road games for the entire season.

[SPEAKER_04]: At Miami, they lost.

[SPEAKER_04]: At Arkansas, who was 3 in 12, at Boston College, one of the worst teams in the country, at Pitt, and at Stanford, which sucked.

[SPEAKER_04]: Like, Notre Dame did nothing this year that was [SPEAKER_04]: special.

[SPEAKER_04]: And like I said, they played Miami, they play Texas hate him, they lost both games.

[SPEAKER_04]: So, you know, I, I can't get worked up that they're not in it.

[SPEAKER_04]: The problem is this, it's whether it's this, whether it's the NCAA tournament, you can always spin it where some team should have got in.

[SPEAKER_04]: All right.

[SPEAKER_04]: I think by you has just, I think BYU has a bigger case than or name, like BYU played nobody, either really, but there are two losses where both against Texas Tech, who is one of the best teams in the country.

[SPEAKER_04]: I think people want Notre Dame in because they're Notre Dame, no one outside of, like, now they're not going to play a good up-tart ball.

[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, but forget about it being Notre Dame for a second.

[SPEAKER_03]: Who do you think is a better team?

[SPEAKER_03]: James Madison, Tulane, or Notre Dame?

[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not arguing that James Madison, Tulane thing.

[SPEAKER_03]: You can't argue that.

[SPEAKER_03]: Right, but I'm just saying, so for me, if I'm taking out all the other stuff, the schedule, who they do, like they're just a, even I know that they're a better team than those other [SPEAKER_03]: But then they show season out.

[SPEAKER_04]: They're not real teams.

[SPEAKER_04]: They don't play real games.

[SPEAKER_03]: So then they should take conferences.

[SPEAKER_04]: They give it to maybe have a separate bracket or something.

[SPEAKER_04]: Well, but that's the setup of the playoff is that they put those, you know, they give that.

[SPEAKER_04]: Who was it?

[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know.

[SPEAKER_04]: It doesn't matter.

[SPEAKER_04]: They give it.

[SPEAKER_04]: Take out the names to lane and change pass in.

[SPEAKER_04]: Here's what the problem is.

[SPEAKER_04]: The problem is you have two first round games in a playoff with those two teams.

[SPEAKER_04]: We won game the spread of 17 and a half and one is 21 and a half.

[SPEAKER_04]: That should not happen in the playoff.

[SPEAKER_04]: There you go.

[SPEAKER_04]: But my argument is when people complain about Alabama and Miami.

[SPEAKER_04]: I get it.

[SPEAKER_04]: I like this in the NFL this week.

[SPEAKER_04]: Now, I'm curious how you're going to, I'm very curious how you're going to move.

[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, and that's what I want to see about Notre Dame.

[SPEAKER_04]: And then Notre Dame, because they think they're all high in mighty and high-brow, they're like, well, we're not going to play in the pop-tarp bowl now to like stick it to ESPN.

[SPEAKER_04]: Memo to Notre Dame.

[SPEAKER_04]: Nobody gives a flying fuck if you don't play in the pop-tarp bowl.

[SPEAKER_04]: Nobody.

[SPEAKER_04]: Like, you're on NBC, your ratings get demolished every week by CBS and Fox, a miracle will be fine if you're not in the pop-tart bowl of 330 on December 27th.

[SPEAKER_04]: No one cares.

[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know what statement you think you're making, I don't think you're hurting his pen, that's the biggest stroke of all.

[SPEAKER_04]: Nobody cares.

[SPEAKER_04]: I'm very curious how you maneuver this Sunday because [SPEAKER_04]: It's a rare week now in the NFL.

[SPEAKER_04]: It's a double double header, meaning Fox and CBS will both air two games in every market.

[SPEAKER_04]: There's no 405 game.

[SPEAKER_04]: It's all 425.

[SPEAKER_04]: Now, it's comical here in New York.

[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, it's just so pathetic.

[SPEAKER_04]: Because in New York, you're going to get Commander's Giants and Jet's Jaguars at one o'clock.

[SPEAKER_04]: You're all the bills that play in the Patriots at one o'clock.

[SPEAKER_04]: New York, it's shut out of it.

[SPEAKER_04]: And then at 425, it'll be Green Bay at Denver on CBS and the Lions and Rams on Fox.

[SPEAKER_04]: So my question to you is that, want to clock, are you still, do you still have to pay attention to the jets and giants?

[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, put it this way.

[SPEAKER_03]: I had to jets dolphins as part of the quadrant this past Sunday and I was [SPEAKER_03]: Good God, like there's not just had almost zero interest in it.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, not real team.

[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I don't know exactly.

[SPEAKER_03]: Mild interest in Jackson Dart.

[SPEAKER_03]: Who the giant's playing again, you say?

[SPEAKER_03]: The commander's good God.

[SPEAKER_03]: I need to see the other options for the one applaud.

[SPEAKER_04]: Well, I'm going to tell you because this is what I find.

[SPEAKER_04]: This is what I find the best.

[SPEAKER_04]: So here in New York, if you don't have something to take it in New York, [SPEAKER_04]: You've got the three and 10 commanders against the three and 11 giants.

[SPEAKER_04]: And then you have the jets who are just a not a real team against the Jaguars.

[SPEAKER_04]: Meanwhile at one o'clock, the bills play the Patriots and the chiefs play the chargers.

[SPEAKER_03]: All right, what else do we got?

[SPEAKER_04]: Well, the rest is nothing special.

[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, you got Arizona Houston, which is garbage.

[SPEAKER_04]: Baltimore, Sincy, Browns, Bears, and then Raiders Eagles.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I mean, I, I probably, to be honest with you, I probably have the chiefs, definitely the bills, and then probably have the jet's shines quadrant, at least for the first half.

[SPEAKER_03]: Cause there's nothing else that's jumping in that spot, you know what I'm saying?

[SPEAKER_03]: And then I could, you know, remove as we go.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, as I, as I build my multi-view.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, and then 420 they got killed at 425, but the cult's not having a quarterback because they play the C Hawks at 425, but if the play and, you know, Riley Leonard or Philip Rivers, that's not going to be good in Seattle.

[SPEAKER_04]: And then you have Packers Broncos and Ram's lines, and then there's also Panthers Saints and Titans Niners.

[SPEAKER_04]: So [SPEAKER_04]: This is, and the next Saturday is you get the next next next next week, not next next week is when you have that Saturday the 20th with the three college football playoff games and the two NFL games.

[SPEAKER_03]: That's a monster day.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, what else?

[SPEAKER_04]: What else?

[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, the thing with that's good.

[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, those games on that Saturday, [SPEAKER_04]: The five o'clock game is Eagles commanders.

[SPEAKER_04]: It's not, I mean, I guess the Eagles could be playing for their season, but the commanders are so bad.

[SPEAKER_04]: And then you have Packers Bears at 820.

[SPEAKER_04]: I don't like when they, like they just played this week.

[SPEAKER_04]: I like when it spread out, but that's still, you got that going with three three college playoff games.

[SPEAKER_04]: But the two-light games, the two college football games late that day are the two-lane in James Madison games.

[SPEAKER_04]: So those games will probably be over in half time you with it, you know.

[SPEAKER_04]: Um, I, last thing I have to say, because I do still have cable and I am a flipper of the channels.

[SPEAKER_04]: When I love to flip the channels, sure enough, over the weekend, flip it around.

[SPEAKER_04]: What do I see?

[SPEAKER_04]: HBO rerunning the sopranos again.

[SPEAKER_04]: You hooked and I'm like, why does this have to happen to me?

[SPEAKER_04]: Why does this have to happen?

[SPEAKER_04]: Because if I know it's on, I have to watch it.

[SPEAKER_04]: I have to watch the whole thing.

[SPEAKER_04]: I'm not watching it every minute of every day, but like on Saturday afternoon when BYU Texas Tech is on watchable, like I'm flipping over to the sopranos.

[SPEAKER_03]: Where do you catch it?

[SPEAKER_03]: Where are we at?

[SPEAKER_04]: You don't realize certain story lines are going on along with other certain story lines.

[SPEAKER_04]: So it, yeah.

[SPEAKER_04]: But...

[SPEAKER_04]: I, if I know it's airing, I have to, I have to have it on at some point.

[SPEAKER_03]: I think I'm more, I'm more like that with rocky movies.

[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not like that with the subtitles a little.

[SPEAKER_03]: I guess it's just in my mind.

[SPEAKER_03]: I could just go to HBO and play at any time I want.

[SPEAKER_03]: Right.

[SPEAKER_03]: And I don't have cable now on the streaming guy.

[SPEAKER_03]: So it's not like it's, I don't think I'd run across that, you know.

[SPEAKER_04]: pass on watching James Gandolfini as Tony soprano.

[SPEAKER_04]: Just the mannerisms, the way he talks, the way they just use phenomenal.

[SPEAKER_04]: It's unbelievable.

[SPEAKER_04]: The one lineer is that, you know, I saw the, I mean, the episode when there are two things that I really just couldn't get over.

[SPEAKER_04]: There's the episode when, after Junior shoot him and he gets out of the hospital and he's still weak, but he wants to show the crew that he's a tough guy and he just beats up that big muscular dude.

[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_04]: That's, I don't know what it is about that scene, but it's like, Tommy says you slam the refrigerator door and beat the shit out of him.

[SPEAKER_04]: And then the scene when Finn tells the crew that Vito was gay.

[SPEAKER_04]: is just so good.

[SPEAKER_04]: It's just so good.

[SPEAKER_04]: But I wish I could not watch it, but I'm watching football and I get sucked in and I have to flip over to it.

[SPEAKER_04]: It's just too good.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's just going to rewatch at some point, but definitely not doing football season.

[SPEAKER_03]: Give me another month or so.

[SPEAKER_04]: That's the benefit of having streaming is that YouTube TV is you don't, well, how is it?

[SPEAKER_04]: So wait.

[SPEAKER_04]: But on YouTube TV, do they have a list of number channels?

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you can go to either guide or live or something like that.

[SPEAKER_03]: But usually just like, home has the suggested what I normally watch.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's such a bizarre thing to think about how I now, how we have evolved to watch TV where it used to just be put on the guide and run down the thing.

[SPEAKER_03]: That's what I do.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I know.

[SPEAKER_03]: I don't do that.

[SPEAKER_04]: I just I have not evolved at all.

[SPEAKER_03]: You're still using the TV guide.

[SPEAKER_04]: Exactly.

[SPEAKER_04]: That's exactly what I do.

[SPEAKER_04]: Do you have a Christmas tree up?

[SPEAKER_03]: No, not yet.

[SPEAKER_03]: That's probably this weekend.

[SPEAKER_03]: What about Christmas lights on the house?

[SPEAKER_03]: God, no, no way.

[SPEAKER_03]: No way.

[SPEAKER_03]: You don't do lights.

[SPEAKER_03]: I'll do it a little around the railings, maybe, on the stairway up to the house, but I might keep doing it on the house.

[SPEAKER_03]: So I'm gonna get a ladder and do that.

[SPEAKER_03]: Otherwise, you're gonna pay somebody to do it in a way.

[SPEAKER_04]: So no lights, no decorations outside.

[SPEAKER_03]: No, no decorations outside.

[SPEAKER_03]: Especially in this room.

[SPEAKER_03]: I'm lucky to have house.

[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I was like, I was like, I have decorations, we're going to decorate Christmas gifts with it.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_04]: What?

[SPEAKER_04]: Tree.

[SPEAKER_04]: I thought you'd do a fake tree.

[SPEAKER_04]: No, real tree.

[SPEAKER_04]: Real tree.

[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, real tree.

[SPEAKER_04]: I'll be curious, right?

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, yeah, real tree.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, you're going to do it.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I agree.

[SPEAKER_03]: You have it up or no?

[SPEAKER_03]: No, not yet.

[SPEAKER_03]: This weekend, we're going to go this weekend.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I might try to go there on the week.

[SPEAKER_04]: weekends, you're out with the animals.

[SPEAKER_04]: It's not good.

[SPEAKER_04]: The I have never seen, I don't know what it's like there in Jersey.

[SPEAKER_04]: I know here on Long Island.

[SPEAKER_04]: Every single street corner on every single road, whether it's in the neighborhood or on the main roads like Jericho, Turnpike, or country, or every single pole has a sign that says, well, hang your Christmas lights, call this not, you know, I guess it's big business now to charge people to hang their Christmas lights.

[SPEAKER_04]: In every use, I never [SPEAKER_03]: and abundance this much, but I've never, I never even knew it was a thing.

[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think it was when we were going up and now it's all over the place, you're right.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's you all the science.

[SPEAKER_04]: Right.

[SPEAKER_03]: Right.

[SPEAKER_03]: Somebody took advantage of that market, God bless him.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I mean, I guess it's like similar to like snow shoveling, you know?

[SPEAKER_04]: Like, yeah, why not?

[SPEAKER_04]: I'll pay for that though.

[SPEAKER_04]: I'm not paying for the lights.

[SPEAKER_04]: I can't, that, that I'm not doing.

[SPEAKER_04]: I'd rather, I can't rather have no lights than pay for lights.

[SPEAKER_04]: Correct, that's where I am at.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_04]: But the snow shovelers, I got a whole list of numbers.

[SPEAKER_03]: Mm-hmm.

[SPEAKER_03]: And whatever.

[SPEAKER_03]: That's in the sense that the lights are a luxury.

[SPEAKER_03]: Snow shoveling is in the sense.

[SPEAKER_04]: The snow shoveling in my life is exactly like Sunday ticket.

[SPEAKER_04]: Doesn't matter the price you give me.

[SPEAKER_04]: Just thought shoveling.

[SPEAKER_03]: I need it.

[SPEAKER_03]: Let me know when you can get here and get it done.

[SPEAKER_04]: Oh my god.

[SPEAKER_04]: We haven't had the snow yet, so that's good.

[SPEAKER_04]: What else?

[SPEAKER_04]: Anything else?

[SPEAKER_04]: I guess that's about it.

[SPEAKER_04]: We've covered it all.

[SPEAKER_04]: That met as we taped this just lost Edwin Diaz.

[SPEAKER_04]: I thought it would be crying on the pod.

[SPEAKER_03]: No, I got an outdoor in the radio show.

[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, whatever.

[SPEAKER_03]: I don't even think it's that big.

[SPEAKER_03]: I'm just surprised at why he would leave for similar money.

[SPEAKER_03]: That would be the thing there.

[SPEAKER_03]: I thought the whole matchstick is that he has unlimited money.

[SPEAKER_03]: So why wouldn't he be back?

[SPEAKER_03]: He does, but it was the same, basically the same offer.

[SPEAKER_03]: He left for the Dodgers for three for 69.

[SPEAKER_03]: The Met's all for three for 66 with the wiggle room to go higher.

[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, I didn't even realize now.

[SPEAKER_04]: Is this going to have, oh no, is this going to make everyone now be like the Dodgers a bed for baseball.

[SPEAKER_04]: We need a salary cap, blah, blah, blah.

[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.

[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe.

[SPEAKER_03]: But one thing that didn't have was a close or another idea.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, let them take that moniker because my team certainly isn't anymore.

[SPEAKER_04]: We're not even an empire anymore.

[SPEAKER_04]: The bronze bombers.

[SPEAKER_04]: We're nothing.

[SPEAKER_04]: We're the pirates basically.

[SPEAKER_04]: So what were you all?

[SPEAKER_04]: Thank you.

[SPEAKER_04]: I'm a football.

[SPEAKER_04]: All right.

[SPEAKER_04]: So, all right.

[SPEAKER_04]: Enjoy getting your tree.

[SPEAKER_04]: I would love a video of you trying to get the tree in the stand.

[SPEAKER_04]: Can we get?

[SPEAKER_03]: Remember, I didn't get a tree last year.

[SPEAKER_03]: I had my my buddy Mitch from Fort Lee get it from me.

[SPEAKER_03]: So this will be the first year.

[SPEAKER_03]: I got to get it in Jersey on my own.

[SPEAKER_04]: Well, how come you're not having him do with this year?

[SPEAKER_03]: I should have some time to be able to do it last year.

[SPEAKER_03]: I just did not.

[SPEAKER_04]: I forgot about that.

[SPEAKER_04]: Wow.

[SPEAKER_04]: Wow.

[SPEAKER_04]: That's just, you should have not remind people.

[SPEAKER_03]: Last year, remember, because this weekend is actually a year ago.

[SPEAKER_03]: You when I went to the Center in that mean event on Long Island, right?

[SPEAKER_03]: That was something that I had to do and took away from potential treetime.

[SPEAKER_03]: So this is the weekend, you just like, get it, the 13, 14th around there.

[SPEAKER_04]: I want a video of you putting the tree in the stand.

[SPEAKER_03]: I'll see if I can make that happen.

[SPEAKER_04]: It's 22,000 in 25.

[SPEAKER_04]: We still have not invented the right Christmas tree stand.

[SPEAKER_03]: They're brutal.

[SPEAKER_03]: They are brutal.

[SPEAKER_03]: You nailed it.

[SPEAKER_03]: They're brutal.

[SPEAKER_04]: I could touch a button on my iPhone and have something delivered here in 30 seconds.

[SPEAKER_04]: But I can't get a Christmas tree stand that works properly on the stand.

[SPEAKER_03]: Matter of fact, the one that my father used to use that probably his father used to use is the best one that I've had when they were even worse.

[SPEAKER_04]: Well, if anyone has any suggestions on a good Christmas tree, stay on what it's known.

[SPEAKER_04]: All right, so we'll see you next week, hanging there.

[SPEAKER_04]: All right, talk to you later.

[SPEAKER_04]: Take it easy.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_04]: All right, my many thanks to Iron Eagle, J.J.

O'ot.

[SPEAKER_04]: Salalakala, you for listening.

[SPEAKER_04]: Hope you enjoyed it.

[SPEAKER_04]: If you did leave a review on Apple, you could also rate it on Apple.

[SPEAKER_04]: And if you've missed any recent episodes, go into the archives, check them out.
