Hello everyone, we are here at Disneyland's California Adventure.
Speaker 2Who willing rider?
Yes, let's talk rides.
Have you done any rides yet?
Speaker 3I have done nothing yet, done nothing because.
Speaker 4I didn't know we could get here earlier.
But Will's been here since what ten?
Speaker 5Yeah, like eleven o'clock this morning.
Speaker 6Goofy Sky School.
No, I like my sen to So I did not do the Goofy Sky School, but I did everything else did off Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain.
I can't do the other one because I don't do motion simulators that don't do well with me.
So that one where you're flying the Millennium Falcon, no, oh, you're missing out.
Speaker 3It's fun.
Speaker 5Yeah, I've heard it's good.
Speaker 6But frankly it's kind of a cheat because that's not what flying the Millennium Falcon is like.
It's very different.
Speaker 1Than Okay, of course, you have you done anything.
I've not done anything.
No, but I like hearing about you guys doing it.
That's one of my favorite parts.
Speaker 4The best part about Disneyland, I think is the atmosphere.
Speaker 2Honestly, I agree with.
Speaker 4And that's why the rides are so much better than other parks is because their sense of atmosphere.
Like yeah, like Pirates of the Caribbean is not much of a rude, but it's the best.
Speaker 5It's just the best because it's Ristmas haunted mess.
Speaker 4It's pretty great, I know, but but being here during the holidays is amazing.
Like just I mean, I haven't done anything yet, but just walking through.
Speaker 6It ends with Santa Yeah, the parade.
Yeah, this was a great day so far.
So will that.
Speaker 2I'm happy to hear you say that.
Speaker 1Do you think that maybe today makes up for not going to Disney World?
Speaker 5No, this is not even close.
Speaker 6Even the day I'm standing at Disney World with a big fat apology from everybody from thirty years ago the Dolphin.
Then we'll talk about the dolphin.
I want Stacy Keaton going to You want Debbie.
Speaker 2Dunning swimming through the water coming out.
Speaker 6It'll be fine, but I want an apology.
Speaker 5No, absolutely makes well.
Speaker 1I'm sure you guys remember that this is the location of my famous date where then I got grounded for an entire month of my life after it was worth coming to Disneyland and being here and staying until midnight and experiencing everything the park had to offer was worth me.
Just completely ignoring my mother's advice.
You need to though my mother, I just she said you will be home by ten, and I said, you got it, and then just stay.
Speaker 6You know, as you were sitting there like going on rides and stuffy like I'm dead, like she's gonna kill me when.
Speaker 5I get home.
Speaker 1Because I remember, here's what I really remember thinking that was so naive, was well, I don't have to tell him that I need.
I think actually she gave me until eleven, okay, And I was like, I don't think I need to tell him that I have to be home by eleven.
Speaker 2But maybe by the time it gets to be that time, we'll just be.
Speaker 1Ready to go anyway, you know, and I'll just be able to say things like.
Speaker 3Whoa wait a minute.
Speaker 2So he didn't know no.
Speaker 1Through everybody, I just said, you know, to heck with you guys, I'm at Disneyland.
I'm having fun.
And we stayed until midnight.
And then is this the most rebellious thing you did?
Speaker 2The most rebellious thing?
Speaker 3How old are you at this, boy?
Speaker 2I was fourteen fourteen?
Speaker 5Oh yeah, your mom just gets a call, like you have.
Speaker 4A call from somebody on the Mickey jail will you accept from Danielle?
Speaker 1Yes, if you're press goofy.
She was paging me nine one one and I was just conorious, literally ignoring it.
Speaker 2I will never live that one down.
Speaker 1But it does not get much better than Disneyland.
At Christmas time, you said you haven't been here in a long time.
Speaker 4Been here at night forever?
Because the last I went was with Will two years ago.
Speaker 2You were here for the holidays.
Speaker 3Someone was here for the holidays was when we were on Boy Wow.
Speaker 4Because during Boy Means World they would shut down the park for employees only for like a whole week, right, it was every night after five pm they would shut the park down and only open it to Disney employees and you'd get a collector ornament.
Speaker 2Do you have your ornaments?
I wish I had kept do your parents?
Speaker 3I think so?
Speaker 2Of course, Will?
What do you know this man?
Speaker 5I still have everything.
Speaker 2Yeah, I feel like they might be at your parents house.
You know, they might be.
Speaker 6They're probably still in the bedroom that hasn't been touched.
Speaker 2At your parents house.
Speaker 6Maybe they could be under the swords and hats.
Speaker 3I think you're joking.
But there are books, the D and D books, That's what it is.
Speaker 4Lots of journ like one entry dear guld be good about it.
Speaker 1On TV show Show No writer famously pretended to sleep on the Splash Mountain.
Sure in our Disney World episode, But if you had to sleep on one Disneyland ride, which ride would you choose to sleep on?
I after the big drop on Pirates of the After Pirates.
Speaker 4Yeah it's nice reason.
Yeah, you could be that little town areas.
Although if do you have to listen to the same song over and over?
Speaker 5Yeahy no, oh yo.
Speaker 4I got stuck on Pirates for forty five minutes when I was a kid.
This it was whistling part with the whistling for the dog reason listening.
Remember, I still have flashbacks, God whistle over.
Speaker 3I would sleep on Rise.
Speaker 2To walk through it all.
Speaker 6Well yeah, well I would just grab one of the Stormtrooper costumes, pop into that and curl up somewhere no one even knows it.
We had it better.
I told you we had a We had a better person this time, because the last time we had the person that we're like, we're so into it and there you rebel scum and then the wall opens.
Speaker 5Up and the woman comes back.
I was like, Hi, I'm Kathy, I'm part of the resistance.
So today it was like they were into it today.
My Adler.
Speaker 1The first time he went on it, Adler was like, why are they asking me to lie?
Speaker 2I have to tell.
Speaker 6Them the first one to crack because Adler's there, Tyler ran All of a sudden, it takes on a little protege like the Saddler he's my friend now, Like what that's the dark side you're with?
Brow was like, I got it and serial number everybody knows that.
Speaker 1Okay, which Disney characters do you think best represent us?
Speaker 2Three?
Speaker 3Each of us?
I don't know.
Speaker 6I felt was about to say the same thing, and I really am I that much of a dinner guys?
Speaker 3My god?
Speaker 6Yeah, because if it was Sesame Street, you'd be stuffle up against high Bird.
Speaker 5You guys suck.
Speaker 3You're already Disneyland for me?
Speaker 4And now.
Speaker 2Are you Goofy?
Speaker 3I could be Goofy.
Speaker 2I guess Goofy.
Speaker 5So I know this is from kind of I was watching it today in the parade.
Speaker 6Pluto's Mickey's dog, yeah, and he can't speak.
Speaker 5Yeah, but Goofy's a dog and has a family.
Speaker 2This is this is.
Speaker 3All the famous lines to stand by me.
What the hell is Goofy?
Speaker 1Right?
Speaker 5So is he a dog?
Speaker 3Yeah?
Speaker 4Who's like got another Pluto's got a Pluto is just like a different species.
I don't it didn't get the like genetic memory athlete.
Speaker 3I don't make your great.
Speaker 2I don't know you dressed like Jiminy Cricket though.
Speaker 3God, actually Jimmy Jimmy makes sense.
Speaker 5Which Princess Daniel fish?
Which way she actually?
Speaker 2I'm definitely one of the mice.
Speaker 3The mice.
Speaker 2And like a mini are a Mickey.
Speaker 5You wanted the mice?
Speaker 6Oh, I was just gonna say Evil step Bom from Cinderella.
Speaker 3I like that.
Speaker 2That that could work, That could work.
That would definitely.
Speaker 3Well, could be all off from Frozen.
Speaker 2Oh do you.
Speaker 3Know who writer could be?
Speaker 5Jack Skellington.
Speaker 6A that's not because it's like you spent your life in Halloween, but then you find Christmas and it's.
Speaker 3Like change your Yeah.
I like that.
Speaker 2Okay, that works for everybody from Frozen.
Yeah, okay, you.
Speaker 3Have to let it go.
Speaker 2Just let it go.
Okay.
Speaker 1When you come to Disneyland, what are some of your food must have?
Like, I am absolutely every single time I must have a churo and the doll Whip.
Speaker 5The whip is the one I've heard.
What you mean what I heard it?
Speaker 2You guys are missing out.
Speaker 1So Dole Whip is a Dole company.
The Pineapple Company makes Pineapple soft serve and they have it near Jungle Cruise and you they make Pineapple upside down cake with Dole Whip soft.
Speaker 2Serve on.
Speaker 5The middle.
Speaker 2Get credible.
Speaker 5One of the.
Speaker 4I won.
Speaker 2You have to get a.
Speaker 1Side down Sunday that they had when I was here about a month ago, has caramel on it, upside down cake, the doll it's to difault.
Speaker 4I think this was the first I ever had in my life, and I thought it was the only place you could get churros for a long time.
Speaker 3Yeah, because like the.
Speaker 1Others, for you, well here to speak about some of the holiday treats.
Speaker 2Let's please chat with our Disneyland rep.
Speaker 3Yeah.
Speaker 7What a better place to be for the holidays, and right here in Disney.
Thank you so much for being here.
Speaker 5Thank you for having us.
Speaker 7This is incredible.
We're looking around.
You can smell the food, We see the lights, the music.
It's all coming to life.
Not only are we celebrating the holidays in a big way, we're celebrating seventy years of the Disneyland resort.
Yeah, and just like any good celebration, any good party, we need good food.
Right absolutely, right here in front of us, we have the fluffer Nutter churros.
You're just talking about churros, and they probably spoil you for any other turro anywhere in the world.
These were such a viral sensation last year that they had to come back.
Speaker 2We're gonna try them.
We're gonna try not to chew on fluffer.
Speaker 8There's shippers, a little bit of everything.
Wow, wow, what are you feeling?
Content and light?
Speaker 2The peanut butter, well, that's what it is, peanut butter.
Speaker 5It's a fluffer nutter.
You never had a fluffer nutter peanut butter and fluff sandwich.
Speaker 4No, marshall not available on the West Coast when it was called marshmallow cream.
Speaker 5Here, fluff is the way to go.
Speaker 2That's delicious.
Do you try all the food?
That's what I want to know.
Speaker 7What I'm I'm working my way through the entire menu this year.
We have ninety new items just for the season.
What just for this season?
Nighty new items And here's a little bit of an insider.
Insider uh, tidbit.
I guess you're all very familiar with Disney But did you know that we have our own bakery on site that produces so many of these baked goods, including the sticky toffee macaroon that's in front.
Speaker 3Of us right now, sticky.
Speaker 7If you ever hear the rumors of a secret Disneyland bakery, it does exist.
Speaker 5People singing and like baking and the thing.
Speaker 1Oh it's it's a top secret.
Speaker 3Really good.
Speaker 2I know that is really incredible.
Speaker 1I see that you have brought us another delicious treat.
Speaker 7Yeah, that comes from from the bakery.
That's a sticky toffee macaroon.
Speaker 1See okay, so you said macaroon, and I had been told it was a macarn And there is a difference magnitude.
Speaker 5Macaran is the French one that has a coconut.
That is, that's the one.
Speaker 7I don't like.
Speaker 2The macarone don't like.
Speaker 5Okay, so this is the macaroons are amazing.
Speaker 3Okay, it's not just a pronunciation difference.
Speaker 5No, it's a different thing.
It's completely different.
Speaker 3I don't even know how to eat that.
Speaker 1No, just bite the ear, it will break it.
I've already had the delight of trying it.
Just take a big bite.
But there's here's the thing.
There is sticky toffee in there, so you have to bite in far enough.
Chick a bite of that one.
See how the sticky toffy is coming out of the ear.
See how the sticky to off he's coming out of between the cookie and the cream.
Now you don't have to bite as far because I can tell you're already getting some of the sticky top experts.
Speaker 5What else if you try around the park that you've enjoyed.
Speaker 1Well, I've only been here for right now, so I'm trying this.
Yeah, look that's a maca room.
Speaker 5I don't want to.
Speaker 7Here's a great thing is that all these snacks, even though they're for a limited time, they come in a great size they can easily share with a friend, family.
Speaker 3That's what the hollidays are about.
Speaker 7We want to make sure that our guests are bringing their loved ones and making these incredible memories with with everybody.
You know.
Speaker 6So if you had to tell somebody who walked on to the park, they say, I can only eat one thing while I'm here.
It doesn't matter sweet, it doesn't matter savory, And I'm only allowed to eat one thing.
Speaker 5What do you tell them?
What's your number one?
Speaker 7And you know why, because our chef and our culinary team takes such care of every single recipe.
They will go to the part of the world where that recipe is from and makes that it's authentic.
So when it's served in our theme part, be it a dish that celebrates Kwansadwali Navi that Christmas, it's authentic to like if you went to your grandma's house.
Speaker 2I didn't even know they had to my list here.
Speaker 7Oh yeah, yeah, And this will give me away a little bit, honestly.
And here's where I make the connection.
I remember the episode where Tembanga spent the holidays at Cory's house and she brought her traditions over.
Speaker 2You know, don't necessarily go so well.
Speaker 7But but this is like that episode.
We have the Festival of Holidays here at Disney California Adventure that celebrates all of these different traditions that make up who we are as a culture in Southern California.
So you get a little bit of everything, diverse food, musical acts, food, entertainments.
Speaker 5I mean a little bit of everything.
Speaker 1I think writer is going to love the coffee bevery.
Speaker 7The cold you like to try.
Speaker 2Sure, this is yeah, that was mine.
But if you don't mind, that's just you know that was mine.
Speaker 5Here at the park and we arrived.
We'll get you a freshman.
Speaker 3There's behind the.
Speaker 2There are okay, so I'm not making it.
Speaker 3Up, thank you.
Speaker 2Well, remember we talked about how I know exactly I do.
Do you want a straw?
There's a straw back there.
Speaker 1If we just swayed in one second, can you hand him your face.
Speaker 5And your pants and everywhere else there?
You go?
Speaker 2All right, you're gonna love that.
Speaker 3Now yours gonna drink it?
Now?
A little bit of cinnamon?
Speaker 7Is it?
Speaker 4Coffee?
Speaker 7Yeah?
So I grew up seeing my family make this in a big plot with cinnamon and coffee.
Speaker 2Really yummy.
Speaker 1It's sweet.
So you can take a little bite.
I want to make sure you get take a bite of that.
Speaker 7I'm okay, okay, already felling up.
But it's exactly how I would imagine it would be at home.
Right.
This is this is what it's all about, making authentic and bringing it to where so many of our guests from around the world can see it.
We've got over five hundred acres here, a theme park that Walt Disney had a hand in developing right across the way.
So there's so much heritage and so much history right here at Disneyland Resort.
Speaker 6So because it's oh, thank you, that's seventieth anniversary, there must be some pretty big celebrations planned.
Speaker 5Oh yeah, yeah.
Speaker 7So just because it's a holiday season doesn't mean that we pause on the seventieth celebration.
Right, We've got incredible merchandise, incredible entertainment.
The World of Color show that's about to the show tonight, A World of Color Happiness has over one thousand different fountains that shoot water fifty feet into the air, creates these giant, massive water screens.
Speaker 2It's so funny.
Speaker 7And the cool thing is that it's interactive, so you at home can download the Disneyland app not only start planning your visit looking at the things you want to do, but once you get here, you can actually pick who the host of the show is.
It's one of the five emotions from inside out.
So you got a part.
You play a part in the interactivity of these shows too.
Speaker 5That's really cool.
Speaker 6Right.
Speaker 5Tomalaw's throw it at you again, got it?
Speaker 6He comes to you and says, I can have one meal, you got the tomorrow's and I can only go on one ride.
Speaker 5What's the ride you tell them.
Speaker 3To go on?
Speaker 7You just mentioned it, the Hounted Mansion Holidays.
There you go because it's for a limited time only, and you get the you know, Jack Skellington and Sally bringing that story to life in that classic Disney attraction.
Fun fact you mentioned the Magic Kingdom.
That attraction, the Honey Mansion Holiday is only available here at the Disneyland Resort.
So for everyone watching and listening from around the world, the Disneyland Resort has that exclusive attraction for the holiday season.
Speaker 5And I heard it takes almost a month to decorate it.
Yeah.
Yeah, it's crazy.
Speaker 7It's a complete makeover of the attraction, every animatronic, every scene, the music, it all changes.
Speaker 5Wow, that's really cool.
Speaker 2Yeah, so much fun.
Jan thank you so much.
Speaker 5Yeah, thank you giving us.
Speaker 2An education and some of the holiday treats.
Speaker 7Enjoy the holiday.
Speaker 2Yes, thank you for letting us be here.
Speaker 1Three best friends who used to come here together as children, now as adults eating their way.
