This conversation will feature community-led programs and initiatives that serve as solutions to some of the hotly debated policing issues of today. Three program examples of alternatives to policing / overpolicing will be discussed: (1) The STAR Program in Denver (2) the “5 Days Without Police” Experiment and (3) the Los Angeles County Mental Health Evaluation Team (MET) Program.
