Episode Transcript
[SPEAKER_00]: People who walked in on their significant other cheating.
[SPEAKER_00]: How did you whip their Sariye?
[SPEAKER_00]: Story one.
[SPEAKER_00]: I went to see my girlfriend one day and her roommate let me in, looking confused.
[SPEAKER_00]: She said, I thought you were here already?
[SPEAKER_00]: Then I heard noises coming from my girlfriend's room.
[SPEAKER_00]: I got really pissed off and stormed in, ready to beat the crap out of him.
[SPEAKER_00]: But when I kicked the door in, the guy jumped off of her, and I swear his fully up and strong dog couldn't have been bigger than a Sharpie.
[SPEAKER_00]: It stopped me dead in my tracks.
[SPEAKER_00]: So I started laughing, softly at first, then harder, until I was cackling like a damn hyena.
[SPEAKER_00]: I was doubled over, pointing at this guy's dog and laughing, and yelling at her through hysterics.
[SPEAKER_00]: Seriously?
[SPEAKER_00]: I grabbed my phone charger.
[SPEAKER_00]: I had come back for, took one last look at them, then started laughing again, as I left.
[SPEAKER_00]: My now ex-girlfriend runs out in a towel saying, let me explain in all that crap.
[SPEAKER_00]: I have no idea how my brain connected this.
[SPEAKER_00]: But I look at her, continue laughing and yell, I've smoked cigarettes bigger than that, and open the door and walk out.
[SPEAKER_00]: Of course, as soon as I got back to my car, my reaction went from uncontrollable laughter to sobbing and screaming, but I got the satisfaction of not letting her see it.
[SPEAKER_00]: There are two great PS to the story though.
[SPEAKER_00]: First, her roommate called me a few days later, saying she had fought with my ex for cheating on me.
[SPEAKER_00]: Two days later, while the ex was at work, I banged her roommate on her bed.
[SPEAKER_00]: Second, many years later, the word reached me that my ex was marrying this guy, and their wedding was forthcoming.
[SPEAKER_00]: I ordered a grow-your-own-dong bachelor at novelty toy on Amazon, and had its scent as a wedding gift from a made-up named to her mother's house.
[SPEAKER_00]: No word on if they got it.
[SPEAKER_00]: Before we continue, do as a quick favor, smash that like button, and subscribe to support our channel.
[SPEAKER_00]: Story 2 I had my suspicions that my boyfriend was cheating on me for a while, but I never had any proof.
[SPEAKER_00]: I had access to his phone and laptop, and I never saw anything out of the ordinary.
[SPEAKER_00]: But my boyfriend suddenly was going out all the time, saying it was just him and the boy so I couldn't come, and if I really trusted him, it shouldn't be an issue.
[SPEAKER_00]: He also stopped being intimate with me, claiming he was too tired or not in the mood.
[SPEAKER_00]: I tried confiding in my best friend about this, asking for her advice on what to do.
[SPEAKER_00]: She said that he would never do that to me, because he loves me too much, and that I'm being paranoid.
[SPEAKER_00]: I should be thankful that I have him in my life.
[SPEAKER_00]: I tried to listen to her advice, but it was just too much.
[SPEAKER_00]: He was always going out, coming home late, and never answered my texts or calls.
[SPEAKER_00]: So, we had a huge fight where I basically begged him to just ease my anxiety and tell me where he goes, or at least answer my texts, so I don't have to worry.
[SPEAKER_00]: but he said that I was being jealous and controlling.
[SPEAKER_00]: So I left our apartment.
[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't grab anything.
[SPEAKER_00]: I just ran out because I couldn't stand it anymore.
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know how much time passed.
[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe two hours as I was just walking around the city trying to cool down before I got home.
[SPEAKER_00]: That's when I walked in on my boyfriend vigorously testing the mattress with my best friend, right in the middle of my living room on a couch that I bought.
[SPEAKER_00]: They didn't notice me right away, but when they did, the shit show ensued.
[SPEAKER_00]: I started screaming at both of them as I cried my eyes out.
[SPEAKER_00]: My best friend said nothing as they both quickly put on clothes, but my boyfriend started defending them.
[SPEAKER_00]: He said that they were in love and had been for the last year, but they didn't want to hurt me so they tried to hide it, that it's my fault for being so sad and depressed.
[SPEAKER_00]: So it's natural that my boyfriend went to seek solace somewhere else.
[SPEAKER_00]: My best friend was also sick of me always being sad, apparently.
[SPEAKER_00]: My boyfriend's words, she said nothing the entire time, and they bonded over that and realized they could give each other whatever I wasn't providing them.
[SPEAKER_00]: They wanted to tell me but didn't want my depression to get worse.
[SPEAKER_00]: I just left.
[SPEAKER_00]: I spent the night at coffee shop until they closed and then all night just wandering outside feeling lost.
[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't have anywhere to go as I normally go to my best friends but that wasn't an option now.
[SPEAKER_00]: My best friend texted me and called me a bunch of times, trying to say sorry.
[SPEAKER_00]: I guess I just wanted to know when and how because I texted her back, asking for the full story.
[SPEAKER_00]: She that my boyfriend over exaggerated.
[SPEAKER_00]: They were not in love, they were just banging as if that makes it so much better.
[SPEAKER_00]: She explained everything.
[SPEAKER_00]: They slept together after getting wasted.
[SPEAKER_00]: I asked her when and it was during my birthday after I had gone to sleep.
[SPEAKER_00]: They promised never to tell me and never do it again, but the tension between them was just too much to ignore.
[SPEAKER_00]: So, they would hook up at her place every Tuesday and Friday when he claimed he was with the boys.
[SPEAKER_00]: I asked if they ever did it in my own home and she said yes.
[SPEAKER_00]: Anytime I had to pull over time at my job, she would go to my house and bang my boyfriend, but she said they would never do it in my bed because she couldn't do that to me.
[SPEAKER_00]: Like what?
[SPEAKER_00]: She said she was really sorry, but thought I should know that she wasn't the only girl he was banging with.
[SPEAKER_00]: She said he has a second phone to set up all the hookups, which is why he didn't care if I was on his phone or laptop.
[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, I don't know what to do.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's been about a week since that happened, and I've only been home once to grab my essentials and I've been staying in a hotel.
[SPEAKER_00]: My boyfriend has not contacted me once, which shouldn't matter, but it still hurts like hell.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's been so hard to drag myself out of bed to go to work.
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to leave this hotel room.
[SPEAKER_00]: I just want to curl up on the bed and never move again.
[SPEAKER_00]: Story 3.
[SPEAKER_00]: I was married for about five years.
[SPEAKER_00]: I walked in on my wife and a coworker on the kitchen floor.
[SPEAKER_00]: All three of us worked together just to be clear.
[SPEAKER_00]: She worked graves and I worked days at the time, and Saturday morning was a time when many of our coworkers would hit the bar that happened to be behind our house.
[SPEAKER_00]: I remember seeing someone else's car in the driveway and assumed someone, likely a female, had crashed to avoid drunk driving.
[SPEAKER_00]: I remember opening the door super quietly, not to wake anyone, and experiencing something I was not prepared for.
[SPEAKER_00]: The first thing I heard was a rapid squishing sound accompanied by the moaning of my wife.
[SPEAKER_00]: This was quickly followed by a strong smell.
[SPEAKER_00]: I see them clear as day on the kitchen floor.
[SPEAKER_00]: I am not noticed until I close the door and greet them with a friendly, what the actual heck.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's difficult to even begin to explain what that does to you.
[SPEAKER_00]: I realize it's unfortunately not all that uncommon to experience cheating, but to walk in on it, especially when you are married, is a life-changing experience.
[SPEAKER_00]: I did not react the way I would have imagined I would.
[SPEAKER_00]: I simply felt nothing.
[SPEAKER_00]: My actions became autonomous, told the fellow to get out now repeatedly as he insisted on apologizing and asked me to hit him.
[SPEAKER_00]: After several warnings I threatened to get my gun as I felt as if that was what you were expected to do.
[SPEAKER_00]: Eventually he left only after my wife told him to leave.
[SPEAKER_00]: I calmly went to the bedroom to remove my suit and get into something more comfortable as my wife remained in the kitchen, still lying on her back, covering her face.
[SPEAKER_00]: I left, and immediately drove to a nearby apartment complex, and called my boss, who was a good friend.
[SPEAKER_00]: As I was leaving, I saw the other guy in my driveway, but I didn't give a crap, I just wanted to get away.
[SPEAKER_00]: After telling my boss slash friend everything, I began the application process for an apartment, not even two hours after discovering the two.
[SPEAKER_00]: Because of the nature of the incident, since my wife was the boss of the guy she was sleeping with, there had to be an investigation.
[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't intend for there to be an investigation.
[SPEAKER_00]: I just wanted someone to talk to.
[SPEAKER_00]: Less than 24 hours later, because some people on the committee can keep their mouth shut every single person I knew found out.
[SPEAKER_00]: It was a horrific experience that I am fairly certain has scarred me yet strengthen me for life.
[SPEAKER_00]: But I made the mistake of giving her a second chance about two months later.
[SPEAKER_00]: It lasted about a month before we separated, and I filed for divorce.
[SPEAKER_00]: Don't ever give someone who cheated a second chance in a monogamous relationship.
[SPEAKER_00]: Ever, cheating occurs when one selfish desires exceed their compassion and respect for their partner period.
[SPEAKER_00]: You owe it to yourself to cut them out of your life like a cancer.
[SPEAKER_00]: Even if they become a better person afterwards, it's simply not worth it for you.
[SPEAKER_00]: The emotional turmoil is surreal.
[SPEAKER_00]: For a while I would break down crying anytime I saw the color orange she was wearing orange when I caught her.
[SPEAKER_00]: I chose to welcome the single life and to numb the pain with a large amount of booze.
[SPEAKER_00]: Time is a beautiful thing.
[SPEAKER_00]: Eventually, I came to my senses and stopped drinking and started to progress to a constructive life.
[SPEAKER_00]: I did the classic stuff.
[SPEAKER_00]: I hit the gym, became the strongest I have ever been in my life, to coincide with the strength I wanted to develop mentally and emotionally, resumed college and got a new job.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's been a few years, but I like the direction I am going.
[SPEAKER_00]: I have more self-respect than I have ever had in my life.
[SPEAKER_00]: I have a wonderful woman in my life.
[SPEAKER_00]: who is a great support and complements my personality.
[SPEAKER_00]: I lost a lot of friends for various reasons, but I am building new relationships.
[SPEAKER_00]: I occasionally struggle with trust issues, as well as anxiety, but it's getting better.
[SPEAKER_00]: Trust me on this though.
[SPEAKER_00]: It was hard, and it still is on occasion, but you will learn a lot about yourself.
[SPEAKER_00]: story 4.
[SPEAKER_00]: I first met my wife when I was studying abroad in China.
[SPEAKER_00]: We dated briefly over there and kept in touch online when I returned home.
[SPEAKER_00]: Eventually the two of us got married and she moved out here to the States with me.
[SPEAKER_00]: Occasionally, her family came to visit.
[SPEAKER_00]: Four years into the relationship I catcher with her brother in bed.
[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't know what the heck to think.
[SPEAKER_00]: Is this a weird cultural thing?
[SPEAKER_00]: Is this guy even her brother?
[SPEAKER_00]: I got angry, yelled at her, stormed out for the night, and crashed at my friend's apartment.
[SPEAKER_00]: I went to work the next day, and came back home while she was still at school.
[SPEAKER_00]: The guy was already gone.
[SPEAKER_00]: I checked her MacBook, where her Skype and email accounts were still logged in.
[SPEAKER_00]: That's when I discovered the man was actually her husband.
[SPEAKER_00]: The money we thought [SPEAKER_00]: Story 5.
[SPEAKER_00]: This girl was staying at my house for a bit.
[SPEAKER_00]: She had family issues and never wanted to go home.
[SPEAKER_00]: We'll call her Erica.
[SPEAKER_00]: Every night, Erica would start crying when we were heading to bed, and my boyfriend and I would stay up for hours trying to calm her down.
[SPEAKER_00]: After a couple of weeks, I kicked her out.
[SPEAKER_00]: My boyfriend really didn't like it, but I was firm.
[SPEAKER_00]: We needed sleep, and this girl needed to deal with her family issues.
[SPEAKER_00]: Two days later, I was at work, and my boyfriend called to say he was staying home sick and wouldn't need a ride later.
[SPEAKER_00]: I felt bad for him, so on my hour lunch break, I went to the soup shop to grab him some tasty soup.
[SPEAKER_00]: It took a while, and I was going to use my whole lunch break to bring him soup.
[SPEAKER_00]: I got home, and he wasn't on his computer very unusual, and the bedroom door was closed.
[SPEAKER_00]: I opened the bedroom door, and he and the girl were unclosed in bed, together, not actively doing anything, just unclosed.
[SPEAKER_00]: I poured the soup on them and left.
[SPEAKER_00]: He called me and said it wasn't what it looked like.
[SPEAKER_00]: She was keeping him warm since he had a fever.
[SPEAKER_00]: What an amazing excuse.
[SPEAKER_00]: She totally had to be unclothed to keep him warm, I'm sure.
[SPEAKER_00]: I told him he better have his stuff out by the time I got home or I was calling the cops.
[SPEAKER_00]: He broke into my apartment, three days later, to leave flowers and a note.
[SPEAKER_00]: I was 20 years old and dumb, so I took him back, we stayed together for two more years.
[SPEAKER_00]: He was from Oregon, and my work wanted me to move to Colorado.
[SPEAKER_00]: Since he didn't have a job, and I hated living in Oregon, we took the offer.
[SPEAKER_00]: The whole time we were there, he was unhappy, and wanted to move home but we couldn't because of my work.
[SPEAKER_00]: Eventually he came to me and told me his mom had a heart attack, and he had to go care for her.
[SPEAKER_00]: I had to pay to ship him, and all our stuff, including our cat, back to Oregon.
[SPEAKER_00]: It was almost $1,000 when all was said and done.
[SPEAKER_00]: He got home and never called to say he landed, or was safe, or anything.
[SPEAKER_00]: After a couple of weeks, I got hold of one of his friends, who said his mom never had a heart attack.
[SPEAKER_00]: A few days later, female friends from Oregon started calling, asking me to get him to leave them alone.
[SPEAKER_00]: He was trying to hit on my friends.
[SPEAKER_00]: I told them that jerk wasn't my problem anymore.
[SPEAKER_00]: A week later, I texted him to tell him I was going to take the $200 hit and shut off his cell phone line.
[SPEAKER_00]: Suddenly, he calls back, says he gave that number for job applications and I can shut it off.
[SPEAKER_00]: I did anyway.
[SPEAKER_00]: Now I'm engaged to a reasonable human being who my love and have been with for five years.
[SPEAKER_00]: My ex is married, lives with his parents, and is still sleeping with Erica on the side.
[SPEAKER_00]: Erica married a trans girl who impregnated Erica almost immediately all those years ago.
[SPEAKER_00]: Story 6 [SPEAKER_00]: My husband cheated on me with his fit and skinny gym friend.
[SPEAKER_00]: I came home from work early, I'm an OB nurse, so my hours are pretty unpredictable, and found female sneakers in the garage that were mine.
[SPEAKER_00]: At that point, I sort of already knew what I'd be walking into.
[SPEAKER_00]: My husband has recently become very fit, and has been consistently going to the gym.
[SPEAKER_00]: During which he made a female friend who he even brought home for dinner last week, she's beautiful and thin and everything I am not, which instantly made me feel horrible.
[SPEAKER_00]: So, I talked to him about it, he encouraged me to build my confidence and reassured me he loved me and would always be loyal to me.
[SPEAKER_00]: I walked into the laundry room from the garage and sort of tiptoed around the house before going upstairs.
[SPEAKER_00]: And yay, they were shagging in our bed, with a framed picture from our wedding above the nightstand next to it.
[SPEAKER_00]: I silently left the room and got back in my car with tears streaming down my face and drove to get food and just sat in my car crying since.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's now almost 1 AM.
[SPEAKER_00]: I walked in on them at 7pm, and I've returned to the hospital.
[SPEAKER_00]: He called me asking why I wasn't home, and I told him my shift is extended, but in reality I'm lying in one of the on-call rooms, bawling my eyes out as I type this.
[SPEAKER_00]: I feel so worthless, and ugly, and stupid, I don't even know how to proceed.
[SPEAKER_00]: On one hand, I want to divorce him and never see him again.
[SPEAKER_00]: But on the other hand, I'm an ugly woman.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's not like I can do better.
[SPEAKER_00]: I feel so gross and the self-loathing is getting too much right now.
[SPEAKER_00]: Story 7.
[SPEAKER_00]: Not exactly what you're expecting, but I walked in on my fiancé being essay.
[SPEAKER_00]: We were at a Halloween party, and she got a little wasted.
[SPEAKER_00]: Mind you, everyone there were friends, pretty damn close friends too.
[SPEAKER_00]: Everyone at this party was actually invited to our wedding.
[SPEAKER_00]: So my fiancé disappears upstairs with the woman who owns the house, and I think no big deal, my girl gets tired when she drinks.
[SPEAKER_00]: She's probably going to lie down.
[SPEAKER_00]: I assumed the woman who owned the house a very old friend of my fiancé was going to lie down with her since they both have a history of doing this.
[SPEAKER_00]: Fast forward 45 minutes, and the owner is back down at the party, but my fiance was nowhere to be seen.
[SPEAKER_00]: The owner told me she was asleep in the spare bedroom, and she had closed the door and left her up there about 10 minutes ago, but something wasn't sitting right with me, so I went up to find her.
[SPEAKER_00]: The door wasn't closed.
[SPEAKER_00]: In fact, it was wide open.
[SPEAKER_00]: And one of our friends, the husband of her best friend, to be exact, was in bed with her.
[SPEAKER_00]: Her dress was on the floor, and he had his hand inside her dress.
[SPEAKER_00]: I hate to admit it, but I assumed the worst for a split second, just a second, but I hate myself for it.
[SPEAKER_00]: I assumed she was encouraging it, but then I realized she was crying and he had tied one of her arms to the bed frame.
[SPEAKER_00]: Not only that, but she's a petite girl, and he had most of his bulk on her holding her down.
[SPEAKER_00]: I hauled him off of her, broke his nose, and gave him a concussion before someone else from the party pulled me off of him after the three of our combined screaming brought people running.
[SPEAKER_00]: He attempted to sue me for assault.
[SPEAKER_00]: She pressed SA charges.
[SPEAKER_00]: It hasn't been easy for the past couple of months.
[SPEAKER_00]: Her best friend, the guy's wife, sighted with her husband, and cut all contact with my fiancée.
[SPEAKER_00]: She was also my fiancée's maid of honor, so she obviously kicked her out of the wedding party.
[SPEAKER_00]: Story eight.
[SPEAKER_00]: I had a group of friends tell me that they knew my then girlfriend had cheated on me with three other guys.
[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't believe it, and they drove me out to the party where she was.
[SPEAKER_00]: Unbeknownst to me, all three guys were guys I knew and they were all at this party.
[SPEAKER_00]: I stalked through the party looking for her, but I found two of the guys hanging out, confronted them, and they admitted it and apologized.
[SPEAKER_00]: I just walked off.
[SPEAKER_00]: I kept looking around for her, and finally found her in one of the upstairs bedrooms, just getting dressed after banging the third guy.
[SPEAKER_00]: He was just standing there shirtless with all these piercings with this smug look on his face, and so I confronted him, and he said, it's just for the pleasure, I don't even like her.
[SPEAKER_00]: I grabbed a nipple ring in each hand and ripped them right out.
[SPEAKER_00]: Walked out of there with him screaming and bleeding as a bunch of people ran into see what the deal was.
[SPEAKER_00]: I still have them.
[SPEAKER_00]: Story 9 The first girl I ever fell in love with, who I lost my V-card to.
[SPEAKER_00]: ended up sleeping with my best friend a week later.
[SPEAKER_00]: I walked in on them going at it.
[SPEAKER_00]: And I literally just walked off in a fit of rage and tears.
[SPEAKER_00]: A day later I went to his house and sat him down like a man and asked him what happened.
[SPEAKER_00]: He said nothing.
[SPEAKER_00]: I asked him again.
[SPEAKER_00]: Same reply.
[SPEAKER_00]: So, I thought, well screw you then and never spoke to him again.
[SPEAKER_00]: As for her, I ditched her and never looked back.
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't recommend that anyone do what I did next.
[SPEAKER_00]: So I saw my old best friend at a house party about five years later and basically peer pressured him into taking some powder with some of the guys I was with.
[SPEAKER_00]: I took pictures and had them blown out on to big A4 pages and sent them to his mom and dad at Christmas with the message Merry Christmas.
[SPEAKER_00]: Here's your son in all his glory.
[SPEAKER_00]: His mom and dad were Christians.
[SPEAKER_00]: Suffice it to say, I got my revenge.
[SPEAKER_00]: Story 10 [SPEAKER_00]: This was my first boyfriend in college.
[SPEAKER_00]: He was a lot of firsts actually, including the first person to cheat on me.
[SPEAKER_00]: It was my boyfriend's birthday, and I was going to surprise him by decorating his room at midnight.
[SPEAKER_00]: He usually has work until 2 a.m.
[SPEAKER_00]: on those days.
[SPEAKER_00]: So I planned to go to his dorm room and decorate it.
[SPEAKER_00]: I knew his roommate was going home that weekend.
[SPEAKER_00]: So his roommate was nice enough to lend me his key.
[SPEAKER_00]: I have all the supplies with me, and go to his room at 1 a.m.
[SPEAKER_00]: I like to vlog things, and was going to record the process.
[SPEAKER_00]: So I had my phone recording me entering his room.
[SPEAKER_00]: I swung open the door, and I see him, and another girl.
[SPEAKER_00]: I guess I have impeccable timing because he spills all over her back as I open the door.
[SPEAKER_00]: And remember, my phone was recording all of this.
[SPEAKER_00]: I just kind of stand there.
[SPEAKER_00]: We all just look at each other, and he starts to say, babe, tears start falling down my face, and I just lose it.
[SPEAKER_00]: I fell to the floor and started crying.
[SPEAKER_00]: He scrambles for his clothes, and I just leave.
[SPEAKER_00]: I leave all the supplies there, grab my bag and phone, and just walk away.
[SPEAKER_00]: I went back to my room without saying anything.
[SPEAKER_00]: In fact, I never said anything to him ever again.
[SPEAKER_00]: He stalked me for a bit after.
[SPEAKER_00]: His roommate didn't know we broke up, and message me a few days after, telling me he thinks my ex is cheating on me with a girl.
[SPEAKER_00]: He says the name of the girl, which is not the same girl I saw him in bed with.
[SPEAKER_00]: Story 11.
[SPEAKER_00]: I was 21 at the time with a five-month-old baby.
[SPEAKER_00]: He knew I was going to be there that morning to move my things out.
[SPEAKER_00]: I got there, only to find a strange car in the driveway.
[SPEAKER_00]: I went into the house and found them passed out in our bed after they had been on a two-week powderbender.
[SPEAKER_00]: I went into the kitchen, emptied the ice bucket, into the biggest container I could find, filled the rest of the container with water, and proceeded to throw it on them both, and wake them from their stupor.
[SPEAKER_00]: I then went to the driveway, keyed the word drab into the paint on the hood of her car.
[SPEAKER_00]: Once they fled, I was livid.
[SPEAKER_00]: I grabbed everything I could find of him, and put it into the charcoal barbeque.
[SPEAKER_00]: poured lighter fluid on it, and lit a match.
[SPEAKER_00]: I was out of my mind with heartbreak at the time, and would never do this again.
[SPEAKER_00]: I wish I could say that I learned my lesson and never went back, but I stayed for 14 years trying with all my might to be good enough, so that he would love me.
[SPEAKER_00]: Five years ago I said enough, divorced him, and now raise our four kids without anyone's help.
[SPEAKER_00]: Story 12 [SPEAKER_00]: We'd been dating for over a year.
[SPEAKER_00]: She'd gotten a new job and to congratulate her, I left work early and brought over two bottles of champagne.
[SPEAKER_00]: No one was answering the door, but her roommate was on the stairwell, outside their friends apartment and heard me knocking.
[SPEAKER_00]: She let me in.
[SPEAKER_00]: We both walked together to their room at the end of the hall, and as her roommate pushed the door open, my SO called out not to come in, and I heard laughing.
[SPEAKER_00]: At this point, I moved on a kind of numb autopilot and pushed the door open, she was on top of him.
[SPEAKER_00]: She threw the blanket over her shoulders and looked back toward the door, I honestly lost it.
[SPEAKER_00]: I cried, screamed, and went to pieces.
[SPEAKER_00]: I knew the guy from other friends, and he'd abandoned a close friend of mine after their daughter was born severely epileptic.
[SPEAKER_00]: She wasn't apologetic at all.
[SPEAKER_00]: They were in love.
[SPEAKER_00]: I drove home, bawling the whole way.
[SPEAKER_00]: I haven't loved anyone like I loved her yet in my life.
[SPEAKER_00]: I drank both bottles of champagne at my apartment and packed a bag, calling my family to pick me up.
[SPEAKER_00]: I spent a few days with them, being back home reminded me of the actual unconditional love in my life.
[SPEAKER_00]: She and the guy deserved each other.
[SPEAKER_00]: In the end, she called me almost a year later while she was living with him and wanted to come over.
[SPEAKER_00]: She wanted to get intimate with me, so we did.
[SPEAKER_00]: Then I detailed the whole affair and a message to him and he kicked her out of his house.
[SPEAKER_00]: Everything works out in the end.
[SPEAKER_00]: People.
[SPEAKER_00]: Story 13.
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I walked in on them, sleeping in our bed.
[SPEAKER_00]: I came home early from a road trip with a friend of mine and walked into my bedroom, happy to wake her up and surprise her.
[SPEAKER_00]: For whatever reason, the guy had a polaroid camera on the bedside table, so I took a picture with it, set it next to them, basically to say, be glad I didn't kill you and walked out.
[SPEAKER_00]: It was an old camera, but I'm pretty sure they were on powder.
[SPEAKER_00]: She tried justifying it later, but I think I [SPEAKER_00]: story 14.
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I came home from work about two hours early.
[SPEAKER_00]: I'd wrapped up my paperwork ahead of schedule.
[SPEAKER_00]: I walked into the bedroom, planning to take a shower, then it happened.
[SPEAKER_00]: Honestly, I just stood there, frozen, staring at them while they stared back at me.
[SPEAKER_00]: She looked me dead in the eyes and said, babe, it's not what it looks like.
[SPEAKER_00]: I couldn't help it.
[SPEAKER_00]: I just burst out laughing, obnoxiously, then turned around and walked out of the room.
[SPEAKER_00]: When she finally came out, she found me calmly playing battlefield four on my PC.
[SPEAKER_00]: As for the other guy, I'm guessing he left the same way he came in through the window.
[SPEAKER_00]: TVB, sis, she said softly?
[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't look up.
[SPEAKER_00]: Just replied, set.
[SPEAKER_00]: She asked if I was okay.
[SPEAKER_00]: Said, yeah, I said, I'm fine, set.
[SPEAKER_00]: I said, I guess she actually believed that because she turned around and started heading back into the bedroom.
[SPEAKER_00]: As she walked away, I kept playing my game and calmly said, at CO and you have three days to get all of your things out.
[SPEAKER_00]: She stopped in her tracks, spun around and started arguing, telling me I couldn't do that.
[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't raise my voice.
[SPEAKER_00]: I just said, fed, I signed the lease, I pay all the bills.
[SPEAKER_00]: Everything tied to this place, every single thing between you and me is in my name not yours.
[SPEAKER_00]: So yes, I can, and I sit really appreciated if you packed your things and left.
[SPEAKER_00]: She started crying, and I tell be honest.
[SPEAKER_00]: I laughed.
[SPEAKER_00]: Some may call me heartless for this, but if you knew the amount that I had put into the relationship and how much I sacrificed for it, you wouldn't blame me.
[SPEAKER_00]: Story 15.
[SPEAKER_00]: I came home early from work, noticed a strange car outside, and found them sleeping in our bed, cozy as can be after doing the deed.
[SPEAKER_00]: They woke up to me closing the door and leaving.
[SPEAKER_00]: She called and begged me to come home.
[SPEAKER_00]: I said everything I had ever bitten my tongue about and filed for divorce two days later.
[SPEAKER_00]: A month after the divorce was final, I moved thousands of miles away.
[SPEAKER_00]: She still wants me to come back and tells me it's the biggest mistake she's ever made.
[SPEAKER_00]: People still ask me why I talk to her at all.
[SPEAKER_00]: I say it's because I have to be civil.
[SPEAKER_00]: The truth is, I'm still enjoying knowing she's struggling and that I'm winning.
[SPEAKER_00]: Petty I know, but screw her.
[SPEAKER_00]: Story 16 When I was younger, I had a girlfriend.
[SPEAKER_00]: My mistake is that I thought we were close.
[SPEAKER_00]: I had a key to her place and worked part-time.
[SPEAKER_00]: My manager sent me home one weekend because we were overstaffed and there was an any point in my being there.
[SPEAKER_00]: I went and picked up a DVD and some ingredients to make dinner and headed to her place.
[SPEAKER_00]: I let myself in and could already hear suspicious noises.
[SPEAKER_00]: My heart was pounding and my brain was saying, all systems go.
[SPEAKER_00]: I went upstairs and opened the door, and low and behold, there was some guy pounding my girl.
[SPEAKER_00]: There were so many emotions that all I could spurred out was I hope his dog tastes better than dinner, and proceeded to dump my shopping on her floor and stormed out.
[SPEAKER_00]: Q-texts and calls saying how she was confused, and wasn't sure if she still liked guys and how sorry she was.
[SPEAKER_00]: To be clear, I am a bisexual female, and Michelle was my girlfriend in question.
[SPEAKER_00]: After this incident, I had kind of a hard time dating women.
[SPEAKER_00]: Let's just say I haven't had a girlfriend since.
[SPEAKER_00]: Story 17 I was on a trip and decided to come home a couple of days early and surprise my now ex-fiance.
[SPEAKER_00]: We were not living together so I was going to go to my apartment to shower because I took a red eye flight, and I wanted to wash off the airplane's stink before I surprised her with some flowers.
[SPEAKER_00]: I walked in and I saw a pair of shoes by the door that were not mine.
[SPEAKER_00]: I thought maybe they were my roommates.
[SPEAKER_00]: As I round the corner to my room, I start to hear moaning and heavy breathing.
[SPEAKER_00]: I thought my roommate was with someone in my room, so I thought I would screw with him.
[SPEAKER_00]: I burst through the door and said something like surprise and found my fiance getting railed by her roommate.
[SPEAKER_00]: I guess their other roommate had people over so they thought to go to my place which they thought was empty.
[SPEAKER_00]: I looked at them and said, I think you should leave the ring in the key.
[SPEAKER_00]: They freaked out and asked what I was doing at home.
[SPEAKER_00]: I told them that this is my place and I didn't have to answer to them.
[SPEAKER_00]: They scrambled to collect their stuff and left.
[SPEAKER_00]: In the process, she left behind her iPad.
[SPEAKER_00]: I decided to go through it.
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm really proud of that, but I figured, why not?
[SPEAKER_00]: The wedding is off now anyway, turns out she had been sleeping with a bunch of different people for the past six or seven months.
[SPEAKER_00]: Story 18 I had just gotten to college, and it was my first time being away from home.
[SPEAKER_00]: That was a really big deal for me because I have major helicopter sports parents who pretty much ruined any social life I had in high school, from the constant practicing.
[SPEAKER_00]: That being said, I can't really blame them because that's what made me excel at athletics.
[SPEAKER_00]: Anyways, because of this, I had never had a serious romantic relationship with a girl of any kind.
[SPEAKER_00]: When I got to school, I met Mary, whom I fell for immediately, and she seemed really into me as well.
[SPEAKER_00]: It was actually pretty much the exact fantasy of what I wanted to happen to me.
[SPEAKER_00]: I became really close friends with the guy's next to me, and everything was perfect.
[SPEAKER_00]: After a few months, I told Mary I loved her and she told me the same.
[SPEAKER_00]: And three days later, when I went to Mary's dorm because I had left some stuff there, the previous night, I actually walked in on her banging one of my closest friends.
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm usually a pretty even tempered person, but I completely snapped.
[SPEAKER_00]: I beat him up really badly.
[SPEAKER_00]: When I was in high school I was a state finalist wrestler and also boxed amateurly and was still in good shape and practicing on a regular basis.
[SPEAKER_00]: I should mention that at the time I was six foot three about two hundred and twenty pounds and he was a fairly scrawny guy which probably makes it worse but oh well.
[SPEAKER_00]: It wasn't really a fight.
[SPEAKER_00]: Just me punching him until he went limp while Mary screamed and cried trying to get me to stop.
[SPEAKER_00]: I eventually did.
[SPEAKER_00]: and I just kind of looked at her.
[SPEAKER_00]: To be honest, I wanted to hit her.
[SPEAKER_00]: I'd never felt so betrayed and hurt in my life and she was just giving me this scared, helpless look.
[SPEAKER_00]: I spat on her face and called her a jerk and left.
[SPEAKER_00]: This was not my finest moment.
[SPEAKER_00]: Story 19.
[SPEAKER_00]: Thankfully, she was just a girlfriend.
[SPEAKER_00]: We were living together at the time, and I had gotten released early from the military, came home unexpectedly, and caught her in the act.
[SPEAKER_00]: Honestly, I think what kept me the calmest wasn't the shock, it was the guy's reaction.
[SPEAKER_00]: The look on his face said it all, and somehow that made it easier to keep my cool.
[SPEAKER_00]: He started yelling at her, who the heck is this guy, and you said you were single.
[SPEAKER_00]: She had lied through her teeth to the guy.
[SPEAKER_00]: and to be honest, I've never been the one to hang pictures or anything, or to live like a slob, so it is fairly believable, he didn't know a guy live there.
[SPEAKER_00]: Anyways, I just started packing my stuff, and she tried to yell at me, curse at me, and stop me from packing.
[SPEAKER_00]: She tried to take stuff from me and dumped my bags, and I just kept my head down and kept packing away.
[SPEAKER_00]: Honestly, I think I took it the best way I could.
[SPEAKER_00]: There was other stuff like quickly contacting the landlord informing him I was moving out and getting out of there the next day.
[SPEAKER_00]: But my reaction was the only sensible thing I could do at the time, I think.
[SPEAKER_00]: Story 20.
[SPEAKER_00]: I was already at a low point in my life.
[SPEAKER_00]: I actually just got fired and came back to the hotel room where we were staying and went straight to the bathroom.
[SPEAKER_00]: I hadn't really thought about why my girlfriend wasn't there.
[SPEAKER_00]: I reiterate that it was a very low point in my life.
[SPEAKER_00]: Sitting on the toilet, I recognized her singing through the vents.
[SPEAKER_00]: I could tell she was in the shower next door.
[SPEAKER_00]: I banged on the next door down for like five minutes before I heard the neighbor yell at her that it was me.
[SPEAKER_00]: I yelled, open the door, and he obliged.
[SPEAKER_00]: I walked straight past him, and threw her clothes at her as she was getting out of the shower.
[SPEAKER_00]: As she argued with me, do share McGee decided that's when he'd step in and shove me and tell me to screw off.
[SPEAKER_00]: I promptly lost it, broke his nose, and continued to throw him around his hotel room.
[SPEAKER_00]: I left when he started screaming about the cops.
[SPEAKER_00]: I just took off my bloody shirt and started walking down the street and kept going for a few hours.
[SPEAKER_00]: All before noon, it was a crappy day.
[SPEAKER_00]: I honestly don't regret my actions.
[SPEAKER_00]: Don't get physical with me after I discovered you slept with my girlfriend.
[SPEAKER_00]: Story 21.
[SPEAKER_00]: They were in the same room as me and about 10 other people and they thought we were all a sleep.
[SPEAKER_00]: Senior year post-prom sleep over situation.
[SPEAKER_00]: The guy was a pretty good friend or so I thought.
[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't leave the room because they were in front of the door.
[SPEAKER_00]: I cried into my pillow while they were banging.
[SPEAKER_00]: they denied doing it.
[SPEAKER_00]: Which was strange.
[SPEAKER_00]: But it turns out there were two others awake in the room, so that lie collapsed.
[SPEAKER_00]: I found out she'd been cheating on me the whole time with another friend, because why not?
[SPEAKER_00]: She cared a lot about her reputation, so I went after that small school, so everyone found out quickly because I didn't think it could get worse.
[SPEAKER_00]: Wrong.
[SPEAKER_00]: The girlfriend of the first guy, yes he had a girlfriend called me crying and asked if it was true.
[SPEAKER_00]: I could hear her heart break over the phone when I confirmed it.
[SPEAKER_00]: But they're back together so I hoped he straightened his crap out.
[SPEAKER_00]: As for my ex, she's been dating some guy for about two years now and seems happy.
[SPEAKER_00]: Story 22.
[SPEAKER_00]: Walked in on my ex, not sleeping with her ex-bf, but him asleep in his boxers on her bed, and her beside him.
[SPEAKER_00]: I had bought her a bunch of gifts because I had been away at school and was busy.
[SPEAKER_00]: Thought I'd surprise her.
[SPEAKER_00]: I guess I did.
[SPEAKER_00]: She bolted up.
[SPEAKER_00]: As soon as I walked in, I put the gifts on the ground, and said, so, I bought you gifts.
[SPEAKER_00]: I guess I should just go, left the gifts and walked out.
[SPEAKER_00]: She chased after me and threw herself in front of my car and wouldn't move until I came into talk to her.
[SPEAKER_00]: The guy left while I was sitting in my car contemplating running her over.
[SPEAKER_00]: We went inside and talked, decided not to end things.
[SPEAKER_00]: Two weeks later on Valentine's Day, she dumped me because I hadn't yet put the past behind me, she was crazy.
[SPEAKER_00]: She contacted me and told me she loved me still.
[SPEAKER_00]: Two years later, after being engaged and pregnant, I told her sorry but things were over and I was in a relationship with someone I loved deeply.
[SPEAKER_00]: My then-girlfriend proceeded to cheat on me and dumped me a week later.
[SPEAKER_00]: My luck was not the greatest.
[SPEAKER_00]: The good news is that now I'm married to a wonderful woman, story 23.
[SPEAKER_00]: I absolutely blew up.
[SPEAKER_00]: I came home from work early one day, and saw a different car in the driveway, assuming it was a friend of hers.
[SPEAKER_00]: I walked into my house as normal.
[SPEAKER_00]: Clothes were all over the floor as I get closer and closer to our bedroom.
[SPEAKER_00]: She lived with me, and didn't own anything in the house.
[SPEAKER_00]: The door was open slightly, so I peaked after I'm sure I heard noises.
[SPEAKER_00]: You know in the movie trailers, when you hear that ringing that gets louder and louder, that started.
[SPEAKER_00]: I got so mad I kicked the door and walked up to him and peeled him off my girlfriend by his shoulders and started to beat the living crap out of him.
[SPEAKER_00]: She's screaming and crying at this point.
[SPEAKER_00]: Trying to pull me off and get me to stop.
[SPEAKER_00]: I eventually do but I chase him while he is still unclothed.
[SPEAKER_00]: afterward I come back to the house and yell until my throat is horse and kick her out too.
[SPEAKER_00]: She had keys, but those don't do you much good if they're inside.
[SPEAKER_00]: I started rounding up all of her things and had to decide if I wanted to burn them or give them back.
[SPEAKER_00]: Eventually, I started going through her phone.
[SPEAKER_00]: The start of this cheating thing was when I was at work, supporting her because she refused to get a job.
[SPEAKER_00]: It still makes my blood boil.
[SPEAKER_00]: Story 24.
[SPEAKER_00]: I heard from friends that my first wife was cheating on me.
[SPEAKER_00]: I drove by my house and sure enough, there was a strange car in the driveway.
[SPEAKER_00]: About the third time I did that.
[SPEAKER_00]: I finally manned up and pulled in the driveway.
[SPEAKER_00]: After a few minutes to calm down enough that my hands weren't shaking, I went in and found them going at it.
[SPEAKER_00]: In the best dead-pan voice I could manage, I said.
[SPEAKER_00]: Jesus Christ, another one, how many guys are you screwing?
[SPEAKER_00]: The joke was on me, the look on her face told me he really wasn't the first.
[SPEAKER_00]: I went out, got way too drunk.
[SPEAKER_00]: Somehow managed to drive home without killing anyone, and as I sat in an empty house had a simply brilliant idea that I should take all her stuff outside and burn it.
[SPEAKER_00]: But I ended up getting beaten up by her guy, arrested for drunk and disorderly, and charged in court for damages and the divorce settlement.
[SPEAKER_00]: The upside was that years later, I found out she was now blowing guys in bars for rent money so in the end I would call it a win.
[SPEAKER_00]: Story 25 I came home early and heard the water running in the bathroom so I put my stuff in the living room and waited for my wife now ex-wife to get out.
[SPEAKER_00]: As I passed the door to go to the bedroom, I heard her talking so I stopped and listened quietly.
[SPEAKER_00]: There was some splashing around, laughing and talking.
[SPEAKER_00]: I listened some more and heard a second woman's voice in there, a girl I recognized [SPEAKER_00]: I didn't know what to do, walk in and confront them or wait until they got out or just leave.
[SPEAKER_00]: While I was thinking about what to do, I could tell they were about to come out, so I opened the balcony door and went outside.
[SPEAKER_00]: They went to the bedroom, got dressed, and after hearing my wife tell her I would be home soon, the girl left.
[SPEAKER_00]: I already knew my wife was bisexual, but she was also not into three scores, not a share, at least not at that point in our relationship.
[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't mention it to her for months, but finally told her what happened that day.
[SPEAKER_00]: She told me she and our friend had a thing going on for a few weeks, but stopped it due to the drama of being with a younger woman.
[SPEAKER_00]: She needed someone more mature.
[SPEAKER_00]: She later left me for another woman, but in her defense, the other woman was more mature [SPEAKER_00]: It wasn't my girlfriend, but I was there.
[SPEAKER_00]: I was out with a few buddies, and was the designated driver.
[SPEAKER_00]: I had just dropped off two guys and was driving my other quite inebriated friend home.
[SPEAKER_00]: We live about two minutes from each other, walking distance, and he says, dude, you should come in, and I'll sort you out some tequila.
[SPEAKER_00]: I had never done tequila, and this had been a thing for a while, so I said screw it.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, let's do it.
[SPEAKER_00]: We walked in through the hallway and opened the door to the front room.
[SPEAKER_00]: We see his housemate with a girl on the sofa.
[SPEAKER_00]: I had to take a double look, but yep, it was my buddy's girlfriend.
[SPEAKER_00]: We're both staring at this situation.
[SPEAKER_00]: The girlfriend stares at my buddy and immediately starts crying.
[SPEAKER_00]: I grab my buddy and start taking him back towards the front door.
[SPEAKER_00]: He's in that kind of sobered up immediately sort of shock.
[SPEAKER_00]: I look back to see the girl with her hands on her face crying heavily [SPEAKER_00]: I took my buddy back to my place in my car, with him fighting for consciousness, where at least pretending to, so he doesn't have to admit what he saw.
[SPEAKER_00]: The next morning, my buddy was passed out in my room.
[SPEAKER_00]: I stayed downstairs on the sofa just in case he decided to get up and go do something stupid in a drunken rage.
[SPEAKER_00]: He didn't, but I thought it was better to be safe.
[SPEAKER_00]: The next morning, he's still in shock from it all, his phone is blowing up left right and center with texts and calls.
[SPEAKER_00]: I've had a few texts too, with her asking for my address to come over.
[SPEAKER_00]: They had been together since early secondary school that is since 15 years old.
[SPEAKER_00]: They'd already discussed staying together for life.
[SPEAKER_00]: As in when they would graduate, they would work for ex-years, they'd get married, have kids, set for life kind of stuff.
[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, there is a good part, he did the right thing, he moved out away from his housemates and stopped in with me for the rest of the year.
[SPEAKER_00]: He didn't even acknowledge her when they passed each other a couple of weeks later.
[SPEAKER_00]: She tried to make out to mutual friends, like he was already cheating, but couldn't back it up with facts.
[SPEAKER_00]: In return, he quite happily told everyone exactly how and where he had caught her.
[SPEAKER_00]: Of course, she made out like he was abusive and psychologically manipulative, but by then her credit was totally trashed.
[SPEAKER_00]: Sure, she had her male friends who sided with her totally, but really, they only wanted to sleep with her too.
[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, a few weeks later, he's drowning his sorrows again one night.
[SPEAKER_00]: He's all broken about how she threw him away, and how his housemate was a jerk.
[SPEAKER_00]: I just said, look at it from your ex-housemate's perspective, just imagine it.
[SPEAKER_00]: No matter how you shake it, he had a girl on top of him in the throes of utter devastation and crying hysterically.
[SPEAKER_00]: Dude, intimacy for him is ruined for life.
[SPEAKER_00]: We both laughed a lot, and it was all fun and games after that.
[SPEAKER_00]: Story 27.
[SPEAKER_00]: It was weird.
[SPEAKER_00]: We had been dating for only eight months, but were seriously in love.
[SPEAKER_00]: We had recently moved in together.
[SPEAKER_00]: That day she got a Facebook message from an old friend asking to hang out.
[SPEAKER_00]: I already had plans to see two friends that night by myself, one earlier, and maybe one later in the night.
[SPEAKER_00]: I was having a morning cigarette with her on the porch, and even made a comment along the lines of, well you should hang out with him as long as you won't sleep with him.
[SPEAKER_00]: She laughed it off because he was kind of unattractive.
[SPEAKER_00]: I still felt a pinch of jealousy but just wrote it off as paranoia.
[SPEAKER_00]: She mentioned the guy before but it didn't seem like a long-lost crush or anything.
[SPEAKER_00]: Fast forward to later on in the night, and I was hanging out with my friend Chris.
[SPEAKER_00]: We just did random stuff, and decided to end the chill session early as he had work in the morning.
[SPEAKER_00]: Well I had talked with my girlfriend, and she was just chilling with the guy at home.
[SPEAKER_00]: I mentioned that I was probably going to see another friend in the area.
[SPEAKER_00]: While driving to his place, I am pulsively decided to go home.
[SPEAKER_00]: I thought to myself, I should be a good boyfriend, get to know her friends as well.
[SPEAKER_00]: I drove back to our apartment, and I tried calling her, but she didn't pick up.
[SPEAKER_00]: I was worried, because I still didn't have a card that would let me be buzzed into our apartment complex.
[SPEAKER_00]: I had to dial a number at the front, she had to pick up on her cell phone, and then the gates for the apartment complex would open up.
[SPEAKER_00]: By sheer chance, I happened to get there as someone else had just opened the gate, and I was able to follow them in without being buzzed in.
[SPEAKER_00]: My lucky day, they're probably drunk, being goofy, and might not have noticed my call.
[SPEAKER_00]: I thought to myself, we had just made me a copy of the key, and I walked into our apartment.
[SPEAKER_00]: It was eerie.
[SPEAKER_00]: No one was in the living room.
[SPEAKER_00]: For a second I thought, wow, they just suddenly left the place in such a rush.
[SPEAKER_00]: Until I noticed our bedroom door was closed.
[SPEAKER_00]: We never do that.
[SPEAKER_00]: I crept toward it, and a deep feeling of fear slowly overwhelmed me.
[SPEAKER_00]: No, it can't be what I'm thinking, that only happens in movies.
[SPEAKER_00]: As I open the bedroom door and flip the switch, there they were, the love of my life and a fat Italian dude inches away from putting his stuff into her.
[SPEAKER_00]: He just stops, sits up and says, sorry dude.
[SPEAKER_00]: I did not act cool at all, I screamed, what the heck get the hell out of my house?
[SPEAKER_00]: I then promptly ran to the kitchen, grabbed a large chef knife in one hand and a half empty wine bottle in the other.
[SPEAKER_00]: I ran back to the room and threatened him to leave, or I would off him.
[SPEAKER_00]: I kept screaming, randomly kicking, or throwing stuff.
[SPEAKER_00]: The only thought I had in my mind was, just cut him, don't stab him, a little cut isn't that bad.
[SPEAKER_00]: You won't go to jail.
[SPEAKER_00]: What saved me was that a few days prior?
[SPEAKER_00]: I had been offered a job in South Korea to teach, my best friend was there already.
[SPEAKER_00]: and had pushed me to take the job.
[SPEAKER_00]: His voice popped into my head saying, don't do it.
[SPEAKER_00]: Uncover.
[SPEAKER_00]: You have a way out of this mess.
[SPEAKER_00]: You can leave the country in a month.
[SPEAKER_00]: Don't hurt him.
[SPEAKER_00]: You can go to jail instead of getting a new chance at life.
[SPEAKER_00]: So, he left.
[SPEAKER_00]: I yelled at her, she was very drunk.
[SPEAKER_00]: I called her names.
[SPEAKER_00]: It was the only time I used such words in such a malicious way.
[SPEAKER_00]: I called her mom to come over because I was afraid that if she was left alone, she would try to offer self.
[SPEAKER_00]: She tried for real two days later.
[SPEAKER_00]: She didn't succeed and last I checked has a serious drinking problem.
[SPEAKER_00]: It hurt, but I went to Korea a month later, and my experiences there changed my life immensely for the better.
[SPEAKER_00]: When I turned 18, I thought I had found the perfect woman.
[SPEAKER_00]: We had so much fun, and she was my everything.
[SPEAKER_00]: About four years into the relationship.
[SPEAKER_00]: I proposed to her, and she said yes.
[SPEAKER_00]: It wasn't until a few months before the wedding.
[SPEAKER_00]: She was texting more than usual.
[SPEAKER_00]: Thought nothing of it really.
[SPEAKER_00]: Since she said it was a coworker she works with at the daycare they worked at.
[SPEAKER_00]: I never suspected anything of it, because she never gave me a reason to question her, since we never had problems or the normal red flags.
[SPEAKER_00]: One day, I came over to her house a little early since I got off the weekend and wanted to surprise her with some candy and roses just because I could.
[SPEAKER_00]: I walked into her house because that's what I always did.
[SPEAKER_00]: She lived with her parents, but they went on a vacation for the weekend and let her have the house.
[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't really hear much out of the ordinary, except for some weird knocking sound every so often.
[SPEAKER_00]: I got something to drink and sat down for a minute.
[SPEAKER_00]: I remember that day vividly, even though it was a few years ago, it was really hot outside.
[SPEAKER_00]: Like you could hardly breathe.
[SPEAKER_00]: I had a sprite.
[SPEAKER_00]: And I remember even how much I spent on flowers and candy, it's odd how we can remember the worst of days perfectly.
[SPEAKER_00]: So, after I sat there and heard the knocking for about five minutes while enjoying my sprite, I started to wonder what she was doing.
[SPEAKER_00]: I figured she was trying to put her new TV stand and shelf together because we had previous plans to do so but didn't know why she would start without me.
[SPEAKER_00]: So, I grabbed the flowers and candy and headed towards her room.
[SPEAKER_00]: As I got closer to the room, I knew something was off because I could hear a guy saying something and her moaning.
[SPEAKER_00]: I was hoping so badly that I was wrong.
[SPEAKER_00]: I was praying that the sounds I heard were somehow wrong, and just in my mind, my mind wanted to believe that maybe she was watching corn, but the knocking against the wall made more sense now.
[SPEAKER_00]: I opened the door and it was my worst fear come true.
[SPEAKER_00]: Some guy was on top of her and they were going at it.
[SPEAKER_00]: The knocking was her bed hitting the wall every so often.
[SPEAKER_00]: I was entirely heartbroken.
[SPEAKER_00]: I put the flowers and candy on her dresser and left without saying a word.
[SPEAKER_00]: They both saw me and just sort of froze like maybe perhaps if they stopped I wouldn't notice or maybe they didn't know how to react.
[SPEAKER_00]: I know I didn't.
[SPEAKER_00]: I knew the guy.
[SPEAKER_00]: He was one of her really good friends from great school.
[SPEAKER_00]: In most cases, I wouldn't be mad at the guy because I think in most cases the guy doesn't know the full situation, but this guy knew better.
[SPEAKER_00]: He knew we were together and I was mad.
[SPEAKER_00]: Heck, the guy had a girlfriend of his own.
[SPEAKER_00]: I was furious, but it was sadness that took me over.
[SPEAKER_00]: I was so sad, it felt like I wasted four years of my life.
[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't understand why, or how she could do this.
[SPEAKER_00]: What did I do wrong?
[SPEAKER_00]: So many things on my mind, I was broken.
[SPEAKER_00]: I drove home.
[SPEAKER_00]: I remember the exact feeling and mindset I had on my way home.
[SPEAKER_00]: I could have crashed and wouldn't have cared.
[SPEAKER_00]: That maybe it would have made her regret it.
[SPEAKER_00]: I got home, and about 10 minutes later, she showed up.
[SPEAKER_00]: She said that all the texting was with Justin, the grade school friend, and she said she had this other side to her that wanted to be bad and wanted to get out every so often.
[SPEAKER_00]: We talked about what that meant.
[SPEAKER_00]: She wanted to try different stuff in the bedroom.
[SPEAKER_00]: So, it didn't result in us breaking up.
[SPEAKER_00]: The truth was, I did love her.
[SPEAKER_00]: And when you spend that many years with someone, it's very hard not to love them, and I didn't want to start over, and I didn't want anyone else.
[SPEAKER_00]: We did have fun together immensely.
[SPEAKER_00]: So, she stopped talking to the grade school friend.
[SPEAKER_00]: They were no longer friends, and I decided to call off the wedding until I felt everything was okay.
[SPEAKER_00]: So, we tried new bedroom stuff, and it was fun, and we had fun, life went back to normal.
[SPEAKER_00]: But that day changed me a little.
[SPEAKER_00]: After that day, I always had trust issues.
[SPEAKER_00]: Trust just isn't easily gained back after something like that.
[SPEAKER_00]: Over time she earned my trust back and we moved in together into an apartment.
[SPEAKER_00]: I never truly forgot that day.
[SPEAKER_00]: The scene was embedded in my mind, but I trusted her.
[SPEAKER_00]: So, we moved in and everything seemed okay.
[SPEAKER_00]: This was two years later by the time everything was back on track.
[SPEAKER_00]: We even had counseling for her because of this other side she had everything felt calm and we enjoyed living together until she started getting texts again even more than before.
[SPEAKER_00]: It was a red flag this time because of the last time.
[SPEAKER_00]: I let it go for a while.
[SPEAKER_00]: I did question her and she said it was friends.
[SPEAKER_00]: I let it go because I didn't want to be that guy.
[SPEAKER_00]: I felt bad for suspecting her again, but also bad because I was so nervous.
[SPEAKER_00]: All the thoughts running through my head were absolutely horrible.
[SPEAKER_00]: One day she left her phone at the apartment when she went to work, and I went through it.
[SPEAKER_00]: Let me tell you, I felt disgustingly horrible about it as I turned on her phone.
[SPEAKER_00]: I felt like the worst boyfriend and a disgusting horrible person.
[SPEAKER_00]: I did until I found all the texts.
[SPEAKER_00]: She was messaging all sorts of other guys online on stuff like kick and Skype, and even some local guys from Facebook and meeting them.
[SPEAKER_00]: And here is some sound advice guys.
[SPEAKER_00]: If you find this sort of stuff on your girl's phone, do not look at the pictures as that is what will break you the most.
[SPEAKER_00]: I looked at the pictures, she sent some very explicit pictures to all sorts of guys, and she had pictures and videos of her with some guys.
[SPEAKER_00]: It absolutely broke me.
[SPEAKER_00]: I was done, beyond it.
[SPEAKER_00]: I grabbed all my stuff possible and moved to a friends basement.
[SPEAKER_00]: I filled my car and my friends car with my stuff.
[SPEAKER_00]: Mostly clothes, my TV that I paid for, my video game stuff, and my computer.
[SPEAKER_00]: Everything else I didn't care about.
[SPEAKER_00]: On the way out, I wrote a note explaining what I found and explaining that I was done and I didn't want any contact with her ever again.
[SPEAKER_00]: She texted me countless times that night about how it wasn't her that it was her other side.
[SPEAKER_00]: She tried to spin it around that way again, but this time I was so done I wasted almost eight years of my life and I felt done.
[SPEAKER_00]: I lost my job, and I lost all the will to really do anything but sleep.
[SPEAKER_00]: It was a dark time in my life.
[SPEAKER_00]: If it wasn't for my friend being there to force me to eat sometimes and be there for me, I'd probably wouldn't have gotten through it.
[SPEAKER_00]: I ended up blocking her from Facebook and changing my number.
[SPEAKER_00]: It was so difficult to separate my life from hers.
[SPEAKER_00]: We had routines and a life together and I really didn't know how to be without her.
[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't know how to sleep without her in my arms, or how to eat without her helping me cook dinner, or even be in the car without her singing along to songs and acting stupid with me.
[SPEAKER_00]: Our lives went from being embedded to being separate in a second's time.
[SPEAKER_00]: I lost myself for a long time.
[SPEAKER_00]: My friend urged me to go out and meet a few women, but I didn't know how to mingle or meet women.
[SPEAKER_00]: Back then, it wasn't as digital as it is now.
[SPEAKER_00]: Now, there are Tinder and Grindr.
[SPEAKER_00]: Back then, it was my space, ironically, how I met my ex.
[SPEAKER_00]: I had a few dates, but with my trust issues, I didn't click with anyone.
[SPEAKER_00]: My ex managed to destroy something in me.
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what exactly it is, sort of a trust thing, and just a worry that any relationship I would have would end like that.
[SPEAKER_00]: I gave up for a while until this woman found me online.
[SPEAKER_00]: I had a website where I was writing a book online.
[SPEAKER_00]: I wrote it in chapters and posted each one online, like an episodic style.
[SPEAKER_00]: This woman was a huge fan, and we noticed we had a huge number of the same interests.
[SPEAKER_00]: She loved writing just as much as I do, and she has a passion for art.
[SPEAKER_00]: We share our new art with each other all the time, and give each other honest critiques.
[SPEAKER_00]: We are always brutally honest with each other, and I love that.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's been three years of constant skyping, playing games on PS3 with each other.
[SPEAKER_00]: And we write with each other every single day.
[SPEAKER_00]: We have fallen in love.
[SPEAKER_00]: We literally talk from the moment our day starts to when we sleep.
[SPEAKER_00]: And it's amazing.
[SPEAKER_00]: Story 29.
[SPEAKER_00]: Things between me and my partner had been rocky for a couple of months.
[SPEAKER_00]: And while I knew that we were slowly drifting apart, the love we had for each other was most definitely still there, or at least that's what I thought.
[SPEAKER_00]: Things had been going better for the last couple of weeks, and I had spent Friday night at home, working on some schoolwork, while she went out to party with some friends.
[SPEAKER_00]: So, when I woke up early on Saturday, I thought it would be a great idea to walk over to her place with some food to make her breakfast, which was something that I often did, she didn't live far from my place, so it was a short walk, and she always left a spare key outside her place, and permitted me to pop in at any time.
[SPEAKER_00]: However, when I got to her place, there was a vehicle I didn't recognize in her driveway and her key wasn't in its normal place.
[SPEAKER_00]: I felt intrusive about it, but I decided to look through the window into her suite.
[SPEAKER_00]: She lived in a basement suite, to see if she was actually home or had crashed at a friend's place.
[SPEAKER_00]: After all, we had been together for three plus years, so it wasn't like I was some peeping Tom.
[SPEAKER_00]: So even though I felt a little weird about it, I looked through the kitchen window and immediately saw shoes and clothing spread all over, and in a very cliche way they led directly to her bedroom.
[SPEAKER_00]: Even though my heart sank to my stomach and I didn't want to see it, I went around the house and looked through her bedroom window to see what I feared.
[SPEAKER_00]: She was lying on cloth and bed next to another guy.
[SPEAKER_00]: I've never felt so ashamed, betrayed, and angry before in my life, and in that very moment she happened to open her eyes and made direct eye contact with me.
[SPEAKER_00]: I felt shattered, I felt guilty and ashamed.
[SPEAKER_00]: I wanted to smash the window and off this stranger lying next to the woman I thought I'd always be with, but I didn't.
[SPEAKER_00]: I just walked away.
[SPEAKER_00]: The next year of my life I'm ashamed to admit consisted of excessive drinking and party and cringe-worthy conversations with my ex, and an internal turmoil that nearly destroyed me.
[SPEAKER_00]: But when that fog finally lifted somehow it all made sense, and I was finally able to let go of all the pain and anger and frustration that I had held on to, I made my apologies.
[SPEAKER_00]: I shook the hand of the man who was lying next to her that morning, now her partner, and made peace with all that had happened.
[SPEAKER_00]: My reaction at the time was childish, self-destructive, and likely overboard.
[SPEAKER_00]: She wasn't my first serious girlfriend, but she was the one that I loved more than anyone else, and I really thought we'd be together forever.
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not proud of how I reacted, but it taught me a lot about who I am and who I want to be.
[SPEAKER_00]: I stayed single for a long time after that, and only dated for short periods, but never got too attached to anyone.
[SPEAKER_00]: I apologize to both her and her new partner for a variety of reasons, mainly to make peace with what had happened and to try to heal some of the anger I was holding on to, but also because during my phase of self-destruction, I had said some pretty cringy things to both her and to him.
[SPEAKER_00]: We shared a group of friends, so there was plenty of interaction, and I knew that I could and should be a better man than that.
[SPEAKER_00]: I felt really guilty about some of the things I said, and because I really did care about this person, I wanted her to be happy with whatever new paths she chose.
[SPEAKER_00]: One day!
[SPEAKER_00]: I finally met another woman who I felt deeply in love with and have been with for five years now.
[SPEAKER_00]: I couldn't be happier, and the box I have hiding in my closet is almost full enough with the money I've been saving to buy her the ring she's always wanted.
[SPEAKER_00]: I guess in the end it does make sense.
[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you for watching.
