Episode Transcript
In today's episode, I'm tackling the most common hurdles that often hold women back from taking that leap and signing up for a program like our new 21-Day Reset.
Are you worried about the complexity of learning new strategies?
Maybe the thought of changing your habits is daunting.
Are you tech-challenged and worried that learning to use our app trackers will be a problem?
Or maybe the thought of sticking to a meal guide feels restrictive or intimidating.
If any of these sound familiar, don't worry.
Today I'm going to explain how we simplify the process, break down those barriers, and make sustainable fat loss accessible and doable for every woman, no matter your tech skills or your past struggles.
Stay tuned because I'm about to show you that these hurdles are much smaller than they seem and you are more capable than you think.
Let's get started.
Welcome to the Fat Loss School Podcast.
If you've been struggling with extra pounds, especially if you've hit the fabulous 50 mark, then grab a seat because this podcast is your ultimate fat loss classroom.
I'm Amy Bryan, a 30-year public school educator and now virtual nutrition and fitness educator.
My mission is to show you that losing fat and gaining energy, plus maintaining it long term, is truly possible even at our age.
Think of these few minutes together as a study hall where I share the cheat sheets for fat loss.
Grab your notebook because class is officially in session and it's time to rewrite your wellness story.
Hello, my name is Krista.
I'm from Nebraska.
I joined my first Faster Way class with Amy in July of 2025.
It is now October.
I have lost a total of 10 pounds and 9.65 inches, and this was not being perfect.
This was concentrating on progress over perfection and just doing the best I could, no matter how much life threw at me.
This is the first program or lifestyle change that I actually can make work, and I'm so glad I found Amy.
Most of the hurdles women think they must overcome to be successful with the faster way are simply excuses or stumbling blocks that are only imagined.
Let me tackle the most common perceived barriers to success today.
First of all, let's discuss meal plans.
You are glad to know weekly meal plans are provided, but you worry that you won't like the food or that prepping all new foods will be too much for you.
Well, let me take that burden off your shoulders right away.
You do not have to stick with our meal plans in order to see fat loss.
Period!
An exclamation mark.
We didn't have meal plans for years and women were successful.
Women like me, I was successful without one.
The weekly meal guides are available as an option and a resource, not a requirement in order to see fat loss.
You will get individualized guardrails to stay within.
That's your custom macro plan.
But you get to choose your foods.
Whether you stick to the meal plan 100% because it's easy and convenient, whether you pick and choose the meals that sound good to you, or if you go totally AWOL and choose all of your foods, you will get results with our macro plan paired with our other nutrition strategies like intermittent fasting and carb cycling.
You'll have me and your macro plan to lean on as needed to navigate meals.
A second worry I've heard expressed is that strategies sound complicated.
Maybe you're afraid you can't learn our system, strategies, rules, or whatever you want to call them.
This is not rocket science, people.
In fact, the simplest things are what move the needle, but you just don't know what they are yet.
Our lessons are taught in small daily doses, even in the new accelerated 21-day reset.
We add on a new focus each week so you're never overwhelmed.
It only takes a few minutes to read the posts and stay on track.
And you have access to me as your one-on-one coach for continual support.
You can for sure understand and successfully implement our strategies.
Another concern I've heard from my fabulous over 50 crowd is the concern over technology.
What if I'm not tech savvy?
Can I navigate the app?
What if I am still new to Facebook?
I worry that I'll post in the wrong place.
Do not worry.
The app is easy to use.
From your home screen, you have access to the workouts, all of the trackers, and more.
We have tutorials to help, and I will be available for questions.
And, as your coach, I have your back.
I can delete anything that might be posted in the wrong place.
And I can give you directions on most any app-related task.
Our app awards stars and shoots digital confetti to reward you for using the tools, which keeps you using the tools and doing the things it takes to see fat loss results.
And, as with any tool, the more you use it, the better and faster you get at it.
The next barrier I often have to talk potential clients through is a concern over workouts.
Our new everyday 30-minute workouts are easy to follow and addictive.
You'll have our pro trainers showing each exercise with beginner and advanced options so you get to start where you are.
I recommend you plan to do three to five workouts each week to maximize your fat loss.
You can start with body weight, use resistance bands or a couple pairs of dumbbells.
That'll be great.
If you have a specific injury or medical condition, we can create your individual plan together so you feel comfortable with the plan, but still progress with more movement.
And though I hate to tell you this up front, I've had clients only do our nutrition parts, not starting the exercise yet, and see fat loss results.
They use that success to get them on board with the exercise part.
Hey, it's your journey.
Exercise, strength training in particular, will speed things up and help you sustain the fat losses.
But it is your journey.
Here's a question that is hard to answer.
How long before I start seeing results?
But here's the truth.
you will start to notice improvements in energy, gut health, sleep, and brain fog within two to three weeks of cleaning up your nutrition.
By six weeks, you'll be able to see differences in your photos and in inches lost.
By 10 to 12 weeks, others will see the noticeable fat loss you've accomplished.
Fast in our name refers to intermittent fasting, not a quick fix.
We know that quick fixes are unsustainable, miserable short-term diets, which we are done with.
Typically, healthy fat loss is 1 to 2 pounds per week, depending on lots of variables.
Like, the more you have to lose, the more pounds you might safely lose per week.
But we won't be watching the scale anyway, as we are looking for inches of fat gone, a size change, body composition change, not just a number on the scale.
Here's another truth bomb that is hard for me to share before you've even started with me, but here goes.
Some women who lose inches of fat, many inches that are noticeable in their clothes and their before and after photos, don't see much movement on the scale.
If their only success measurement was the scale, then they'd be very disappointed.
But these particular clients gain muscle while losing fat, which made the scale weight not change so much.
They tally up their inches lost all over, fit into their smaller clothes again, have a toned look, and they aren't mad about it.
Another question I get is, is the faster way safe for type 2 diabetics?
This is an easy yes.
In fact, our plan can reverse type 2 diabetes as the onset is caused by nutrition, fitness, and other lifestyle factors we improve with our Faster Weigh Healthy Fat Loss strategies.
You will need to ease into some strategies like intermittent fasting and share your journey with your endocrinologist for guidance.
But healthy strategies are healthy strategies.
We'll get your insulin response working properly again.
Another common stumbling block is the cost of a program.
What are my all-in costs?
We've all been hit with hidden add-ons and lured into a subscription by a super low entry price.
Here's the deal for FasterWay.
Our new 21-day reset is $99.
You are not required to buy additional supplements.
Our long-term recurring fee is not hidden at all.
We offer our VIP membership program to continue the support beyond the foundational program for $79 per month.
New clients can opt out anytime with a 7-day notice.
That's right.
Even right after you register, you can opt out of the auto-enroll into VIP.
I will have to warn you, though.
You won't want the 21 days to end.
You'll want more.
And since this investment is affecting your overall health, you are likely saving money by avoiding health conditions, doctor visits, time off work, and medications.
Oh, but there is one other cost I'll warn you about.
You may have to buy smaller clothes as you lean down.
Here's another question I get from clients who've been away for a while.
What if I've already taken the Faster Way 6-week class and want to get restarted?
Do I have to start completely over?
If you've taken the 6-week Faster Way class already, you are eligible for VIP membership at $79 per month.
It doesn't matter how long ago you did the 6-week or how well you stuck with it the first go-round.
As your VIP coach, I will consult with you to reset your macros and to refresh you on the foundational strategies.
You can easily get back on your fat loss journey alongside other fabulous over 50 VIPs in my private VIP group.
Maybe you've listened to this and other podcast episodes for months now and are ready to join me in the new 21-Day Reset.
