Episode Transcript

[SPEAKER_00]: Would you like to do a podcast today?

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: Hi everybody, welcome back to Gilmore to stay with Terran Haley.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'm Terran, this is Haley, Hi Haley.

[SPEAKER_00]: Hi Terran.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's our first Gilmore to stay episode in September.

[SPEAKER_00]: It wasn't, well we had a Gilmore to sit around for a second.

[SPEAKER_00]: Do you see not September?

[SPEAKER_00]: No, it was last year's day.

[SPEAKER_00]: Gilmore to consider was September 1.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my gosh.

[SPEAKER_00]: I know.

[SPEAKER_00]: When you said we were going to do our first Gilmore to stay in September, I was like, you, you're wrong.

[SPEAKER_00]: I was wrong.

[SPEAKER_00]: I was wrong this whole time.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sorry for calling you wrong in my mind when I was a one that was wrong.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's okay.

[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's really exciting because as we know, [SPEAKER_00]: It's Gilmore girl season.

[SPEAKER_00]: I know the start of September, but you know what today also is.

[SPEAKER_00]: What is today?

[SPEAKER_00]: Today is the first official launch day of our merch shop to all of our besties because we did a soft launch on Friday.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, for our Patreon besties is like an exclusive first look.

[SPEAKER_00]: But the shop is open for business to everybody.

[SPEAKER_00]: Come on in disagree with someone on your head He didn't know sparkly art hat there you go suck sweatshirt stickers What else have you gotten there hat shirts sweatshirts oh yeah embroidered sweatshirts screen prints sweatshirts We have a lot of our own jargon on the sweatshirt and different collections.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, so good.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'm actually not to shoot our our own horns here But like I'm really proud of the way that it turned out [SPEAKER_00]: It's cool.

[SPEAKER_00]: I will say though, I think that a lot of people are going to go in there and be like, hey, I think there's some stuff missing from what I expected here, but we do have a couple more launches coming.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I can't wait.

[SPEAKER_00]: I would call this like our, our good more to say core collection, but we have multiple drops coming your way over the next few weeks, few months, so stay tuned for fun stuff.

[SPEAKER_00]: And if you buy something when it gets to you tag us in it, [SPEAKER_00]: Please, I want to see you in.

[SPEAKER_00]: I know.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'm so excited to see people wearing Dean Sachs sweatshirts.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yes!

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god.

[SPEAKER_00]: We've been talking about this for so long.

[SPEAKER_00]: I want to say that we talked about this in our very first episode.

[SPEAKER_00]: Did we?

[SPEAKER_00]: I think we did, I think I was like, I'm having the Dean sex t-shirts printed as we speak.

[SPEAKER_00]: And my mom was gonna make them before we started it.

[SPEAKER_00]: Because she has like, do you guys want them?

[SPEAKER_00]: And I was like, yeah, no.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I love it.

[SPEAKER_00]: I love it.

[SPEAKER_00]: Long time coming, here they are.

[SPEAKER_00]: But like I said, this is also the start of Gilmore Girl season, which is very different than the start of fall.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, like I'm the kind of woman that like every time September hits.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, oh, it's fall.

[SPEAKER_00]: Even though I know consciously, it's not fall.

[SPEAKER_00]: See, I used to not be like that, because I used to be like a staunchly summer girly.

[SPEAKER_00]: Like I was like, I wanted to cling to the last days of summer, like September 22nd.

[SPEAKER_00]: We'll roll around the first day of fall, and I'm like morning summer.

[SPEAKER_00]: when everyone else gave up on summer like at the end of August.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that this is the first year that I like in like openly like September 1st, it's fall.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's happening because it's not I know technically it's still summer for a couple more weeks.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah for sure.

[SPEAKER_00]: But I think that in like the way that [SPEAKER_00]: winter, spring, and summer are not.

[SPEAKER_00]: Fall is more of a state of mind.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I agree.

[SPEAKER_00]: Because the window for fall weather, and I say that as someone from New England, from like the pinnacle of fall weather.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'm a Georgia girl.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be fall until December.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, that's so true, and I'm a little jealous, but like as a Northeastern person, [SPEAKER_00]: You have to bask in it because they're such a small window when it actually feels like fall So you're right at the earliest date of mine, yeah, especially when you love Gilmour Girls I know because like fall can mean the literal you know season of fall from September till December fall [SPEAKER_00]: Um, because technically, like, our birthdays are in fall because it's not quite winter.

[SPEAKER_01]: Mm-hmm.

[SPEAKER_00]: Fall is a state of mind and I think that that's so true of Gilmore Girls, because Gilmore Girls is a fall show.

[SPEAKER_00]: But it takes place in every season because fall is a state of mind because I think that fall for me is like, like, academia, you know, like it's like, [SPEAKER_00]: stories about going to school, because like you go back to Hogwarts on September 1st, the Hogwarts Express leaves at 11 a.m., so like that feels like the sort of it.

[SPEAKER_00]: We have where we're going back to school, you know, it's like dark academia books, like secret history, Donna Tart, and it's just like tweed blazers, sweaters, candles, blankets.

[SPEAKER_00]: Autumn drinks.

[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I drink this morning in iced apple, Chris Machiato from Starry.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, you got it.

[SPEAKER_00]: I iced.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: Because it's still technically like 80 degrees here.

[SPEAKER_00]: I say this with no judgment.

[SPEAKER_00]: I get all of my drinks iced even, you know, the winter.

[SPEAKER_00]: I don't, I don't, I don't do hot.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'm an iced girly through and through.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's rarely a hot drink unless I'm freezing.

[SPEAKER_00]: Or on my day calls.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I like to be like, like, you know, like, Laura, like, walking around her little, like, to go up, like, that's so fall, I know.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that that's like a lot of people have been like, why is Gilmour Girls a fall show?

[SPEAKER_00]: Like, everyone's talking about it's Gilmour Girls season now.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's because it's like, comfort food.

[SPEAKER_00]: I've always build Gilmour Girls as my comfort food show, and I think a lot of people in the fandom feel that way.

[SPEAKER_00]: and fall feels like cozy weather, so it's just two things that are affiliated and the small town kind of like energy.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's an aesthetic.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that fall aesthetic, that cozy aesthetic.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, it just hits right for Gilmore Girls.

[SPEAKER_00]: Because there's so many episodes that like, we could break down and be like, these are fall episodes from Gilmore Girls.

[SPEAKER_00]: But like, I'm interested to talk to you about what constitutes a fall episode on Gilmore Girls.

[SPEAKER_00]: because I think that there are some episodes that take place when it's not necessarily fall that I'm like, this is a fall episode.

[SPEAKER_00]: Can I tell you the very first one that comes to mind every single time when I think of fall episodes on Gilmore Girls is a test kit a task it in season two takes place in the spring.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's not a fall episode.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god, why that always feels like a fall episode to me.

[SPEAKER_00]: Well, okay, before we get into the exact episodes I have a theory about seasonal seasons like series seasons like season one season two not like the actual seasons of how they break down in terms of this season Yeah, being fall to bring summer winter [SPEAKER_00]: because I think that season one in two is fall.

[SPEAKER_00]: Like season one in two of Gamer Girls is fall.

[SPEAKER_00]: Despite the fact that we have winter, I think they're fall.

[SPEAKER_00]: Whereas I see season three in four as being summer fall seasons.

[SPEAKER_01]: Hmm.

[SPEAKER_00]: I see season five is being spring, and I see season six is being winter.

[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, and you see season seven is nothing.

[SPEAKER_00]: Season 7's that week between Christmas and New Year's Eve when you just lose track of time and then you're like, you know what the fuck is going on?

[SPEAKER_00]: You're eating like 3,000 calories a day.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, like not moving at all.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, nothing at all.

[SPEAKER_00]: And it's just like, you go back into your real life and you're like, what was that?

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: That didn't count, right?

[SPEAKER_00]: And then of course, the seasons are broken down and you're in the life.

[SPEAKER_00]: So, and then you're like, I want you to name some feelings.

[SPEAKER_00]: Fall in.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: Wow, I love that, Haley, that's actually very accurate.

[SPEAKER_00]: I completely agree with that because I actually think that a lot of my favorite fall episodes are, of course, in season one and two, but also in season three, but it kicks off in such a way that's like lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer, eight o'clock at the oasis when she has to turn off the sprinkler and just is completely so expensive.

[SPEAKER_00]: Does it feel like it starts in summer, goes to fall, and then goes back to summer, and like we don't get the other seasons really?

[SPEAKER_00]: Well, we get the winter carnival where, you know, [SPEAKER_00]: Clara is there.

[SPEAKER_00]: I know you never want to think about that, but fall to me.

[SPEAKER_00]: I know Clara.

[SPEAKER_00]: Don't talk about Claire to me.

[SPEAKER_00]: But I feel like that for some reason feels like fall to me.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I totally understand.

[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know why all the Gilmore girl seasons, like especially my comfort seasons, which are seasons one through three, feel like fall.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, all like for some reason, I associate falling in love with Logan, Rory, of course, not myself.

[SPEAKER_00]: Could be either.

[SPEAKER_00]: Falling in love with Logan is spring.

[SPEAKER_00]: Interesting.

[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_00]: The place takes place over a multitude of seasons.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_00]: All right, I'm excited to get into this now.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: All right, so let's go chronologically.

[SPEAKER_00]: So season one, I would say that I think people mostly affiliate they show with the fall because it starts off in the fall.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's how it kicks off.

[SPEAKER_00]: even though, you know, we've talked about the pilot and we've broken it down, specifically on our Patreon, about the fact that it was shot in two different locations because half of it came from the original pilot and the other half came from it being shot on the WB lot, but where they filmed it in Canada, it looks like it's kind of winter except like it's fucking freezing there.

[SPEAKER_00]: even like one of the first lines that worry says is just freezing.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but it's supposed to be like September because the six episode is October 8th, of course, where he's birthed there exactly so it's supposed to be late September in New England and that doesn't add up because it's that's not the way seasons work up here.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but it's like, it's totally a static vibe.

[SPEAKER_00]: I don't like the academic nature of it that makes it feel like that cozy fall vibe.

[SPEAKER_00]: Bory's big cable nits sweater.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because I would save it like the fall episodes from this season are like technically like cinnamon's wake to like kiss and tell us always the first one that I think of.

[SPEAKER_00]: And like I guess cinnamon's wake is technically like maybe in summer, but like that one just feels like fall.

[SPEAKER_00]: Like for some reason cinnamon's wake I'm like fall aesthetic.

[SPEAKER_00]: Well it's probably where he's birthday, so that makes sense.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that makes sense.

[SPEAKER_00]: If it's in the fall, because like I would say the pilot feels like fall episode.

[SPEAKER_00]: But I don't think that like, kill me now is.

[SPEAKER_00]: Mm, you're right, because they go golfing.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, you're totally right.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's technically like those three, but I would include the pilot in that for some reason.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's also a little more like first aid children.

[SPEAKER_00]: She's wearing shorts and cowboy boots, and I know she's wearing that long coat.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but like technically like the academic nature of it might lend towards it being, but I don't think so.

[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't feel fault to me.

[SPEAKER_00]: What about the deer hunters?

[SPEAKER_00]: And that one still feels like not fall.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't know if it's like because the color, like the color tone of the episode that they put on it, from Pilot to the next three, field so different, then it just doesn't feel quite right.

[SPEAKER_00]: That I feel like I go from Pilot to...

[SPEAKER_00]: Cinnamon's Wake 5, Voice Birthday 6, Kiss and Tell, and then it's very clearly winter because there's snow.

[SPEAKER_00]: For some reason Starcraft suffers another strangers, it's false to me.

[SPEAKER_00]: Despite the fact that it's a winter event.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's okay.

[SPEAKER_00]: Concert interrupted feels fall to me.

[SPEAKER_00]: That one feels like my biggest anxiety.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, I will.

[SPEAKER_00]: But no concert interrupted to me feels like fall vibes.

[SPEAKER_00]: You know, you have...

[SPEAKER_00]: And I wonder if it's because the town that I grew up in in Connecticut, every fall, we would have that type of like rumored sound.

[SPEAKER_00]: It feels like a rod sale feels very fall for something.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, like of course they happen in the spring and summer, but I just think like a big rummage sale.

[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, just the other thing that kind of makes these episodes.

[SPEAKER_00]: And even in future seasons, I just mentioned a tisket atasket.

[SPEAKER_00]: Feel like they're a fall aesthetic is because of the costumes.

[SPEAKER_00]: If you're going to wear a corduroy shirt but jacket, it's fall.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's fall.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's not a spring jacket, baby.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: Like technically, I guess you can wear it because it's keeping you warm.

[SPEAKER_00]: Because totally could be a spree, but it's not.

[SPEAKER_00]: No.

[SPEAKER_00]: You're wearing your fall jacket in the spray.

[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.

[SPEAKER_00]: How dare you?

[SPEAKER_00]: No, I'm confused with floral coats.

[SPEAKER_00]: No.

[SPEAKER_00]: Florals for spring, brown baking.

[SPEAKER_00]: But I feel like for the most part, season one is fall, but for my pilot, cinnamon's weight, Roy's birthday parties, kiss and tell, and star crossover's another strangers, and maybe the breakup part two.

[SPEAKER_00]: Because that episode feels really cozy to me.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we just covered that in our Patreon and they were wearing the Corderoy Shurpa jackets.

[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's what it is.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's like the vibe of like, I don't know, just something about that whole episode.

[SPEAKER_00]: Just feels like fall that I can't quite get.

[SPEAKER_00]: But like the only ones that really take place in fall, [SPEAKER_00]: I think would be like, maybe cinnamon's weight, boys birthday differently, and then kiss and tell, because they have the fall festival.

[SPEAKER_00]: Kiss and tell, just kiss and tell.

[SPEAKER_00]: Kiss and tell, just kiss and tell.

[SPEAKER_00]: Kiss and tell, just kiss and tell.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because that's another thing.

[SPEAKER_00]: Is this show doesn't really focus as much on holidays, in seasons.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's so season all, which was so smart.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's what it was.

[SPEAKER_00]: It was smart about the revival, because they celebrate like spring, fleeing the celebrate fall festival, and the summer madness, winter carnival.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's not like they're doing like a Christmas parade.

[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, they do the Christmas page.

[SPEAKER_00]: I love it though.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's so smart because obviously, as we know, not everybody celebrates all the holidays.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: And it creates a much more like cozy aesthetic to make it seasonal, which I love.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because I agree with you that seasons or more a state of mind, not always based on the weather or based on what month it is, totally.

[SPEAKER_00]: Because you could totally be already in your fall aesthetic if you're in Florida right now.

[SPEAKER_00]: There's no way that you're going to wear a sherpa jacket, but it's your state of mind.

[SPEAKER_00]: Like your pumpkin candle, get your pumpkin spice latte, turn on the girlies, [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, it's fall, I'm falling in your house.

[SPEAKER_00]: There it is.

[SPEAKER_00]: So are there any other ones that from season one that you feel like these are screaming fall to me?

[SPEAKER_00]: I would probably throw deer hunters in there.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: And like I said, concert interrupt us.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: I think the stressful episodes for some reason for me have no season.

[SPEAKER_00]: Like deer hunters is stressful and concert interrupt us is really stressful.

[SPEAKER_00]: So they have nothing.

[SPEAKER_00]: Like if it's like triggering my academic traumas, I'm like, No, I don't want to delete.

[SPEAKER_00]: So like, I'll delete.

[SPEAKER_00]: Alright, I understand, but then moving to season two for some reason I feel like being in the same way that falling in love with Logan is spring.

[SPEAKER_00]: I think falling in love with Dean is fall, much too hard as me.

[SPEAKER_00]: I think that being in love with Jess is winter.

[SPEAKER_00]: Like the vibe of it has like, it's like not the, not the push and pull of.

[SPEAKER_00]: season two because I think that season two as a whole is very fall.

[SPEAKER_00]: Like Bracebridge dinner feels very fall, but Jess is flirty.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's something about being in love with Jess.

[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe outside of the scope of the episodes that like I classify him as a winter boy.

[SPEAKER_00]: I understand that I mean you could name a myriad of winter episodes.

[SPEAKER_00]: The first one that comes to mind is when they're making out as they walk through the town.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh yes, no on the ground.

[SPEAKER_00]: A family matter when he comes back and tells [SPEAKER_00]: But I would also say that Fallen Spring combined kind of scream just to me because their first kiss is at Sukey's wedding, which is in the spring, and then the dance marathon in season three, let the games begin, that's all in the fall.

[SPEAKER_00]: So in season two, the episodes that I wrote down irony admitted to you that I consider it as going to task it to be a fall episode, even though it's fully taking place in the spring.

[SPEAKER_00]: But they're all wearing Sherpa Quarterly jackets.

[SPEAKER_00]: They tricked us.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, Jess looks very fall.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, and so fall aesthetic in this.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I love him so much.

[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, where would you say that fall starts?

[SPEAKER_00]: I would say in the road trip to Harvard.

[SPEAKER_00]: I think so too.

[SPEAKER_00]: The in that they land at the B&B.

[SPEAKER_00]: The Cheshire cat.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the Cheshire cat feels very like [SPEAKER_00]: Autumn vibes being at Harvard.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I don't know.

[SPEAKER_00]: There's just something about it.

[SPEAKER_00]: Like I'm like, oh, they're school.

[SPEAKER_00]: So that's fall exactly.

[SPEAKER_00]: But I know that it's not technically fall because in the next episode, worry goes back to children.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's her first day.

[SPEAKER_00]: So it must be September.

[SPEAKER_00]: So and for some reason, I don't see that one as a fall episode.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I completely agree.

[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think that was supposed to turn into summer.

[SPEAKER_00]: You know what episode I do consider to be kind of fall.

[SPEAKER_00]: Like, and again, this has to do a lot with the aesthetic is the instant out of ends when just draws the chalk outline outside of dozees.

[SPEAKER_00]: See, that's kind of where I feel like fall starts, because like, for the most part, I feel like the fall episodes are episode seven, eight, nine, like for the most part, like where they kind of fall.

[SPEAKER_00]: that I think that that's like the real start of fall.

[SPEAKER_00]: Like I would say like mother like daughter just a little bit, but not quite.

[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't have like the same aesthetic I would say.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: But I would say like maybe like mother like daughter the ins and outs of ins.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's so much easier to identify the start of winter because it's the first time we see a snow siding, right?

[SPEAKER_00]: So love and war and snow in season one.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: Brace bridge dinner in season two.

[SPEAKER_00]: But I still consider that to be a fall episode.

[SPEAKER_00]: Really?

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: They're like push and pull with worry and Jess on like it's fall.

[SPEAKER_00]: This is a fall vibe.

[SPEAKER_00]: Interesting.

[SPEAKER_00]: I think even though there's a fucking snowman in the way that it starts with them building that snowman, I don't know.

[SPEAKER_00]: It just feels very winter.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: Like that is the start of winter.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe that's why I feel like falling in love with Jess' winter.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's because they're literally in a fucking carriage being pulled with a snow.

[SPEAKER_00]: Not know.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: And then again, when we get to it, it's going to task it.

[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know why like that lost and found like those episodes feel fall to me.

[SPEAKER_00]: Totally right it feels like we go from like beginning of summer to fall to winter back to fall back to summer [SPEAKER_00]: Spring and spring are interchangeable in the Gilmore world.

[SPEAKER_00]: It really is fall winter fall spring because suki's wedding feels like it's like spring vibes.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: There's so much of the season.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's almost like which episodes are not fall.

[SPEAKER_01]: Mm-hmm.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's like I would say like Sadie, Sadie, Hammers and Fails, red light on the wedding night.

[SPEAKER_00]: Nick and Nora sitting Nancy presenting more like Gilmore.

[SPEAKER_00]: Because I would, I see her coming out is like not.

[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe it's because it doesn't feel like as much like a cozy episode.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and also when she goes and sees Emily's, like Emily and her videos sitting out on the Veronica, like they're all just hanging out in the sunshine.

[SPEAKER_00]: So they seem pretty warm.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: That this whole season to me feels like one big like fall moment.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, for sure.

[SPEAKER_00]: Except for the ones where there's snow on the ground, right?

[SPEAKER_00]: Because I don't know if you feel this way.

[SPEAKER_00]: In teaching me tonight, that feels like fall.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, something about worry breaking her arm, writing around in the car with Jess, doing the studies, because then when they, and um, once, it's teach me to night where they have the movie night in the square.

[SPEAKER_00]: Well, teach me to night is when they start talking about movie in the square night, and then it's in help wanted the next episode.

[SPEAKER_00]: Because Christmas is there.

[SPEAKER_00]: Right.

[SPEAKER_00]: Why does that feel like a fall event at the end of the season?

[SPEAKER_00]: I get it.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's again, because I think spring and fall are interchangeable and wardrobe-wise, they dress like it's fall.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's true.

[SPEAKER_00]: Right?

[SPEAKER_00]: You're that's absolutely why there's no such thing as spring on the show unless there's flowers.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, unless it's like Liz and TJ's wedding unless it's like, but that is another episode that I think of as a fall episode.

[SPEAKER_00]: Last week fights this week tight.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, I don't know why I was thinking about it and I was like, you idiot.

[SPEAKER_00]: It takes place in the spring.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now that I'm thinking about it, I think that the only reason I would say spring is because of Lorely's dress.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's a pretty dress.

[SPEAKER_00]: But I just think like renaissance fair for me, screams fall.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's like I feel like a little bit chilly, didn't dress completely appropriately for the weather.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: But it's in the fall.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we're gonna have to do like take a shot every time to say fall.

[SPEAKER_00]: I know.

[SPEAKER_00]: Truly What again?

[SPEAKER_00]: We're all already when did take a shot of pumpkin spice every time But then when you move on to season three like the pinnacle in my opinion of fall at this is the best fall episodes I love them 100% for me starts with take the devil eggs, but like the real start of it the real kick off to me [SPEAKER_00]: is they shoot Gilmore's Don't Day.

[SPEAKER_00]: And then let the games begin, of course, they're like sitting on hay bales, waiting to go to Luke's cause they don't work anymore.

[SPEAKER_00]: And like the Yale vibes, yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: But then a deep red Korean Thanksgiving.

[SPEAKER_00]: I just, so like gorgeous, no need.

[SPEAKER_00]: So it's just a three, cause like in looking at like what your favorite fall episodes are from this.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's a tie between those.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, these three are at the top of my list.

[SPEAKER_00]: So good because I think it's like the events because this is another thing where like stars hollow events don't really take place around anything in particular just like this dance marathon that like it seems like they were also doing the fall festival at the same time because the town is all dressed up for fall.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, for sure, but it's the costumes because this is really like the closest that Gilmore girls get to having a Halloween episode because we get a little bit of Halloween and season six.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god, what is that episode called in season six?

[SPEAKER_00]: 21-year-old number.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because Laura likes going to decorate for Halloween, but it's not quite that like the closest we get like could you imagine having had a full Halloween episode where it's like they go to Friday night dinner trick or treating in the town what they're going to dress up as like [SPEAKER_00]: Luke being grumbly about Halloween, like Spooky Scary Episode, Kirk Disappears for some reason, it would have been so good.

[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I have like, I have a fan fiction about it in my head.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'll have to tell you off pod, okay.

[SPEAKER_00]: I see if we would want to present it to the people.

[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what, um, but I just would have loved that, but this is that they shoot Gilmore's Don't Day is like the closest we get, because everyone's all dressed up, oh, it feels like everyone's in costume.

[SPEAKER_00]: I know.

[SPEAKER_00]: They're run around.

[SPEAKER_00]: For some reason, Mrs.

Kim's eggless egg salad.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, eggless egg sandwiches that gave her that gauze-keep eats a plenty of.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: I was like a fall.

[SPEAKER_00]: Fall vibes.

[SPEAKER_00]: I know.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's the colors.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.

[SPEAKER_00]: But then, of course, what the games begin is.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, it.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yale.

[SPEAKER_00]: Academic vibes.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's still dressed up for fall.

[SPEAKER_00]: deep-fried green Thanksgiving is Thanksgiving.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, how do you get more fall in that?

[SPEAKER_00]: It's so good and those first three seasons I think because they're my comfort seasons will always scream fall aesthetic to me always.

[SPEAKER_00]: Well, that's I think that's what a lot of people think I think that a lot of people fall off with the later seasons because it doesn't have that Gilmore girls aesthetic Yeah, it doesn't match that same yeah energy the right the vibe the cozy vibe.

[SPEAKER_00]: I think that there are still cozy episodes [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, we kind of get a hybrid of it in season four, like it's kind of ushering us as we've spoken to in the past both narratively and aesthetically into the later seasons into seasons five to seven, but I would say the first episode in season four that kind of speaks like fall to me isn't a fair to remember because of worries tree.

[SPEAKER_00]: Remember when she falls asleep, it's her back, and she pays that guy to sit there, she pays the guy to go away.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so that she can sit there, she doesn't pay him.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah, I was like, she's not, I don't think she pays him to sit there.

[SPEAKER_00]: I think she's trying to get the opposite of him.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, so now I know what you're saying, 100%.

[SPEAKER_00]: I actually think the first follow-up episode of that one is the Lorna's first hit, Yale.

[SPEAKER_00]: of yours.

[SPEAKER_00]: Like what a vibe.

[SPEAKER_00]: Like totally.

[SPEAKER_00]: But then I think that we don't like we skip and you know we get back to kind of like season one.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but it's just kind of like that vibe.

[SPEAKER_00]: But like the festival of living art feels like a fall episode.

[SPEAKER_00]: It calls big night out of course feels like.

[SPEAKER_00]: Fall vibes.

[SPEAKER_00]: I would say die jerk too because of the way that everything looks like when Rory writes that terrible article about the girl.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the battle arena.

[SPEAKER_00]: I know.

[SPEAKER_00]: That was brutal.

[SPEAKER_00]: Rory.

[SPEAKER_00]: That was really brutal.

[SPEAKER_00]: That was really mean.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, harsh.

[SPEAKER_00]: But the conversations that she has in the daily new, like the elderly news with Doyle feel so like that much that like aesthetic totally.

[SPEAKER_00]: But Todd coppels big night out.

[SPEAKER_00]: You know, when do you think it shifts out of [SPEAKER_00]: in season four.

[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's the end.

[SPEAKER_00]: Once like the winter episode in season four, would you say it's like a family matter?

[SPEAKER_00]: Nogaminati's where they found the Nostic Gospels?

[SPEAKER_00]: In the clamor and the clangers.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, you're right, because that's the one with the bells, right?

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's snowing because that's when Luke moves and didn't tell her why, and she's all upset and then he comes and tries to shovel her walk.

[SPEAKER_00]: And when she comes out to think him he's like, oh, you know thing and also this is my shovel He's like spitefully shovels through walk.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and then they go and break the bells Yeah, it's the bells to bring them together, but like I said after that after we passed the threshold of in the clamor in the clanger when it becomes winter [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know why.

[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like last week fights this big tights as a fall-up zone.

[SPEAKER_00]: Why?

[SPEAKER_00]: What about a scene in a mall when they go shopping, but it's so it's literally like interior vibes because they're in the mall Yeah, Emily's on that tear.

[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's the scarf that because then I kind of feel like grand dying in the raining lower-light [SPEAKER_00]: Mmm.

[SPEAKER_00]: Spooky scary.

[SPEAKER_00]: I guess.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's not why.

[SPEAKER_00]: No.

[SPEAKER_00]: But I feel like it's a little bit fall vibes.

[SPEAKER_00]: Something about Emily Gilmore sitting there in her dressing gown and her silk reading a book.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's my whole fault.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's everything I'm about to do for the next couple months.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, not now.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, it's so hard to say.

[SPEAKER_00]: But I'd say the only one that kind of sticks out for me, like I said, is last week fights this week tights.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, what about self-help?

[SPEAKER_00]: You can see your face.

[SPEAKER_00]: I could also see that being a fall episode.

[SPEAKER_00]: Like I kind of see Liz arriving on the scene earlier in the season, also as kind of fall.

[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know why I affiliate Liz and TJ and the whole like Renaissance, [SPEAKER_00]: situation.

[SPEAKER_00]: I affiliate it with fall.

[SPEAKER_00]: When do friend fairs happen?

[SPEAKER_00]: Is that in the summer?

[SPEAKER_00]: Probably in the spring and summer and for some reason I have decided it's a fall thing.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the friend fair people are going to come after you, Tara.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they're going to knock on my door and be like, we don't do you.

[SPEAKER_00]: We don't do this right now.

[SPEAKER_00]: We do it in the spring.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: Stop spreading rumors about our ratings.

[SPEAKER_00]: They're going to go down after this.

[SPEAKER_00]: But then speaking of the ren fair, Luke at the beginning of season five goes to help Liz and TJ at the renaissance fair, so I guess it takes place over the summer.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, I guess it's a summer thing.

[SPEAKER_00]: And then he returns in the fall, right?

[SPEAKER_00]: Because he returns after or around the time that we're coming back from here with her grandmother.

[SPEAKER_00]: Admittedly, once we hit, like, [SPEAKER_00]: Last week fights a sweet tights.

[SPEAKER_00]: I immediately skip to written in the stars.

[SPEAKER_00]: I never watch those in the middle.

[SPEAKER_00]: Is it because it's always?

[SPEAKER_00]: Is it kind of just because of the dini babies?

[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's less because of Dean and more I'm like time to get to Logan.

[SPEAKER_00]: We're done with all of this nonsense.

[SPEAKER_00]: Let's get to Logan.

[SPEAKER_00]: Because I do like watching ring codes and recipes.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's such a good episode.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's a great episode.

[SPEAKER_00]: But I hate the first two episodes of season five.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but hey.

[SPEAKER_00]: love Britain the stars which great episode feels not like fall to me because it is fall though right uh i think is it it's me like it's fall as much fall as like it is that we're saying it is now yeah it's just kind of maybe like the state of mind going back to school it's still technically some of your ways fall in quotes what would you say it like really becomes fall in season five that's what's so hard about this is like i don't necessarily feel like it ever gets to be fall in [SPEAKER_00]: I think that you jump, I jump Jack, maybe.

[SPEAKER_00]: Because like that's technically where like the fall episode would be.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: But I still feel that's like as like a summer.

[SPEAKER_00]: Because even like tip of canoe and tailor too, feels kind of fall-esque.

[SPEAKER_00]: So run down the order for me, we start out with say goodbye to Daisy Miller, then we go to a messenger and nothing more, written in the stars what's next.

[SPEAKER_00]: Tip of canoe and tailor too.

[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_00]: We got ourselves a pippy version.

[SPEAKER_00]: feels kind of fall because for some reason when Dean comes back in like in like the same way that he did in like what's that episode in season one where he comes over for movie night.

[SPEAKER_00]: Damned on a read.

[SPEAKER_00]: It kind of feels like that we're like he's back in with the girls watching a movie cozy dinner like that feels a little bit like fall.

[SPEAKER_00]: Norman Wheeler and pregnant kind of does too because this is when Bree starts like [SPEAKER_00]: tailing Logan about the life and death brigade.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: So like those two kind of feel like it.

[SPEAKER_00]: But then you jump by jump jack.

[SPEAKER_00]: If you was like spring.

[SPEAKER_00]: It does feel like spring.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's something about like the blue dress, like the event.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's what I'm saying.

[SPEAKER_00]: The aesthetic of the wardrobe.

[SPEAKER_00]: The wardrobe sometimes sets the tone.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's not necessarily like the snow on the ground or the lack of snow on the ground or the hay bales.

[SPEAKER_00]: Cause hay bales in season seven.

[SPEAKER_00]: I thought was a fall episode until I remember that it takes place towards the end of season seven.

[SPEAKER_00]: literally in the spring.

[SPEAKER_00]: Like, it sometimes has nothing to do with that.

[SPEAKER_00]: It does, and it does it, but it also has everything to do with what they're wearing.

[SPEAKER_00]: Like, the breeze in this fabulous blue gown.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's when these screams spring.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: Right.

[SPEAKER_00]: Right.

[SPEAKER_00]: Right.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: Also, they're in a huge green field, the night before, like the no-e party, the night before feels fall because she's in that green sweater.

[SPEAKER_00]: Everyone's like, looks like very safari tints, like that hole, totally feels fall.

[SPEAKER_00]: But then it's spring the next morning.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: Falling in love with Logan Hensburgers spring, you can't find me on that.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's just facts.

[SPEAKER_00]: Also, you know what I think a little bit of it is, the box set is pink.

[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you're right.

[SPEAKER_00]: Is that a reason why?

[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.

[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe.

[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, box.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's for seasons two and three are blue and purple and that doesn't really be fall to me.

[SPEAKER_00]: No, but I'm not going to tell you how to live your life.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, don't.

[SPEAKER_00]: Please don't.

[SPEAKER_00]: Not when it comes to Mr.

Logan.

[SPEAKER_00]: Please don't.

[SPEAKER_00]: I will not.

[SPEAKER_00]: But.

[SPEAKER_00]: I think it kind of ends there.

[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I would say in, but not as cute as Pushkin, also kind of feels a little fall.

[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, but do you think that the party's over?

[SPEAKER_00]: Hmm.

[SPEAKER_00]: Because we have the party's over and Emily says hello, I don't think that those are fall at all.

[SPEAKER_00]: Not as cute as Pushkin totally does, because she's in the library, Anna comes into her life from Jilton, Logan with the stunt with his friends, and she's in class.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, even like at the end when like Richard and Logan have that little scene between the two of the tussles.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, the tussle.

[SPEAKER_00]: I love to have seen Logan and Richard actually tussle because even when we get to like wedding bell blues, because there's a couple of episodes between them.

[SPEAKER_00]: That doesn't feel like fall.

[SPEAKER_00]: No, this feels like we fall and back into some other season.

[SPEAKER_00]: Shoes in Chinese food feels a little fall, even though it's the spring.

[SPEAKER_00]: What about to live in that diorama?

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, to live in that diorama, I would believe it takes place in the fall, but I also believe it takes place in the spring because it does.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because they're drinking the founder's day punch.

[SPEAKER_00]: I think I can never dress up episode in pulp friction when they go to Fins birthday party, but the rest of the episode feels like spring.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, like, maybe because she's wearing a pink coat.

[SPEAKER_00]: Well, because Pope friction could feel like a Halloween party.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my gosh, the thing that we've been saying though this whole time, that feels like probably redundant at this point, which is that it's the costumes that when we hit season five, that's when they're out or where it changes.

[SPEAKER_01]: Mmm.

[SPEAKER_00]: Like, Laura and Vory are both in pink coats.

[SPEAKER_00]: Like, Laura gets her pink, does she have a pink phone?

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: No, Laura likes all the little stuff that gets painted starting in season four.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and she gets those wrap dresses.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, no, like I would say starting in season four season five because in season four when she's dating Jason, that's when we really start to see her with the pink phone and the pink code.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, right.

[SPEAKER_00]: When does worry start wearing a pink coat?

[SPEAKER_00]: I remember her having that pink coat on the night of Bridesmaid's revisited.

[SPEAKER_00]: When Doyle tries to nozzle her.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, it's like, it's like, it's not quite pink.

[SPEAKER_00]: No, but it's like a printed, yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's a decayed printed with the jeweled buttons.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: But very definitely has a pink coat as well.

[SPEAKER_00]: She also has a red coat, I think.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I know about the red coat.

[SPEAKER_00]: But they stop wearing Sharpa.

[SPEAKER_00]: There's like, ah, there's quarterly jacket.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I guess it changes with the times.

[SPEAKER_00]: Like now we're hitting 2004 2005, where people wearing Sharpa jackets anymore, I don't know.

[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.

[SPEAKER_00]: They are now.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's coming back around.

[SPEAKER_00]: It certainly has.

[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, you're right, I don't feel quite like, the fall aesthetic is not on the girlies.

[SPEAKER_00]: They're aesthetic informs the aesthetic of, [SPEAKER_00]: everything around them of the episode is a whole sometimes.

[SPEAKER_00]: Like if they're dressed in a fall way or if any of the characters are again, like we were talking about just in season two, it feels like a fall episode.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't feel like we are getting so much of that in season five because I couldn't really come up with any that I was like, yeah, this is a fall episode.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that I could talk myself into it, but I think for the most part of this feels like spring.

[SPEAKER_00]: What about season six?

[SPEAKER_00]: Because season six feels just aesthetically darker.

[SPEAKER_00]: Winter for sure.

[SPEAKER_00]: It feels like a CW show now because it is.

[SPEAKER_00]: It just feels very different aesthetically.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's moved away from itself.

[SPEAKER_00]: Right?

[SPEAKER_00]: See if you've heard the [SPEAKER_00]: The director for photography was the same for half of one, two, three, four, half of five.

[SPEAKER_00]: And then the director for photography is the same for season six and seven.

[SPEAKER_00]: So it makes the whole main sense.

[SPEAKER_00]: So it doesn't look quite like the other seasons did.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I feel like that is [SPEAKER_00]: in part that like the lighting of the previous seasons changed to season six, as well as like the costumes like we've been talking about.

[SPEAKER_00]: But I also feel like we don't get any of the, because I think what constitutes a fall episode or what makes up a fall episode in terms of like not just being fall.

[SPEAKER_00]: It has to be the events that are taking place, like, is it, like, they shoot good more stone than it's a dance marathon, is it the fall festival and it's very dressed up for fall, do the girls look like they are, you know, in their sherpa jackets or in their sweaters or, like, Ted Couples big night out vibes where it's like, very, you know, they're dress for football game, and then the last one feeling like it's kind of academic, and I don't feel like there's any of that in season six.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, like, there's, there's no real, like, the town looks very fall-ess, or, like, the closest that we get is, like, where you spurred the party, but it's very glam.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and the only two reasons we know it's in the fall is a, because we know when we're as birthday as October 8th, but also because of the Halloween aspect to it.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the talk of Halloween.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: But where is, like, when we're [SPEAKER_00]: that feels so cozy, which is like in part what adds to that vibe, yeah, but we never end up there except for with Laura like and she's completely redoing her house.

[SPEAKER_00]: So it loses that like cozy feel that we get from it, whereas like and worries for the parties and season one.

[SPEAKER_00]: we had the house, the town was kind of dressed up, like we had a little bit of the academic vibe because she was in school, and so it like feels like that totally.

[SPEAKER_00]: But when we get to 21 is the onlyest number, it's like not quite so much.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, in the pool house, we're getting this glam party, the, yeah, the Rory, everything's pink.

[SPEAKER_00]: Well, what about when she then returns home?

[SPEAKER_00]: The renovations are done on lower-rise house because we're talking about the first half of the season, right?

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: But, [SPEAKER_00]: Then once she returns home shortly after do you feel like we ever get back there?

[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think so because I think that there's like so much that's lacking from all of those like categories that like makes it that fall vibe that everyone loves, that's why people fall off of season six because that doesn't bother me so much, you know, but I feel like a lot of people when they go into the show.

[SPEAKER_00]: They need the fall aesthetic.

[SPEAKER_00]: They need the fall vibe.

[SPEAKER_00]: And that's why people watch season one and three and I totally understand that and it certainly falls off as we're talking about here that I don't think it ever gets back to it because I think the closest that it gets to fall feeling.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's fried and it's all right for fighting.

[SPEAKER_00]: Okay because I think like just like winning Gavin very very Winter feeling like even when she returns back home and then what do we have like the prodigal daughter returns He's lip in a bread dig.

[SPEAKER_00]: He's slipping a break the perfect dress [SPEAKER_00]: Those all feel like winter, because it's technically January, so it is winter.

[SPEAKER_00]: What about me, hear your ball of length is ringing out?

[SPEAKER_00]: Hmm, that to me has that fall vibes.

[SPEAKER_00]: Because Jess is there.

[SPEAKER_00]: Jess shows up in his denim jacket.

[SPEAKER_00]: You're right, Jess and his little denim jacket might be silly.

[SPEAKER_00]: And he does say like your birthday was a few weeks ago.

[SPEAKER_00]: So technically is 100% fall.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, even in the first little bits of the episode when Logan and Colin have been, they're always stood and they're at the bar and they're trying to get in the car and stuff like...

And where is wearing her little blazer?

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: I could see it.

[SPEAKER_00]: I could see it.

[SPEAKER_00]: I could see it.

[SPEAKER_00]: I could see it.

[SPEAKER_00]: We could say that one about that one.

[SPEAKER_00]: Right.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because that falls into where it would be.

[SPEAKER_00]: Where is bangs for some reason?

[SPEAKER_00]: Feel like winter.

[SPEAKER_01]: Hmm.

[SPEAKER_00]: When she's trying to get the job at the Stanford Equal Cet, [SPEAKER_00]: I would say her outfit is very fall, yeah, I can see that with the bench or sitting down.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, talking to the editor totally.

[SPEAKER_00]: I could see it.

[SPEAKER_00]: I would say like maybe Bella Leicas and prodigal daughter.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's like maybe the most I would, yeah, offer up season six to the fall aesthetic.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, only other one I would add to it is Friday and it's all right for fighting.

[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, some reason, just the saving of the Yale Daily news and being at the Gilmore's house.

[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, we haven't, we haven't all been there in a while and I think that's that's one of like the things, you know, like the end of season five we didn't get a ton of being at the Gilmore ourselves.

[SPEAKER_00]: You're right.

[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's the other criteria I would add to determining it would be adding in being at the Gilmore's house.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's fair.

[SPEAKER_00]: So then where would you place everything on this spectrum for season seven?

[SPEAKER_00]: Because the only one I could come up with was hey, Melmese.

[SPEAKER_00]: I did actually [SPEAKER_00]: the only one that I really or like the only two really that I felt like from [SPEAKER_00]: season seven inappropriately fall timed because haybell maze totally feels like it.

[SPEAKER_00]: Do you have haybell mazes in spring?

[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't think so, but here we are.

[SPEAKER_00]: Here we are.

[SPEAKER_00]: That felt like a weird crazy season seven thing to me that we can break down and get there on little Patreon.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, in 400 years.

[SPEAKER_00]: Is go Bulldogs?

[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_00]: Here it's weekend.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's like falls into the, you know, [SPEAKER_00]: For some reason, Paris kind of felt, well, French twist, I feel is like non-descript seasonal, but by the time we then get to knit people knit for the knitathon, when Laura Lye and Christopher are married and he like pays for, you know, the remainder of the money that they need and the event kind of goes to go away.

[SPEAKER_00]: Old money bridge, but it will never be new and clean, never ever.

[SPEAKER_00]: But that feels fall because that's before Mary Fisty Cubs when it's the holiday season.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, just before the holiday.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, or because they have seen Santa Seared stuff.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but again, hay bail maze.

[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know why it's the first one that came to mind.

[SPEAKER_00]: Totally, that just feels like one because it's a hay bail maze.

[SPEAKER_00]: And Logan's and his leather jacket.

[SPEAKER_00]: And it just, yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's a combination of the way they're dressed and the aesthetic of the town, but I think the town really makes it feel, it's a town.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's Taylor Docey.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's him and his card again.

[SPEAKER_00]: I knew you.

[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it is.

[SPEAKER_00]: Like that's it's there.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's the way that they're dressed as kind of gives us the indication of what season it is, not just the aesthetic around them, but the town.

[SPEAKER_00]: And they're energy really, really different than the other one.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I just feel like we lose a lot of that in the later seasons.

[SPEAKER_00]: For sure.

[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't quite put that all together that it's all of the components of it missing.

[SPEAKER_00]: Because worry is not really so much participating in school in the same way that she or the same way that we saw her doing in the early seasons.

[SPEAKER_00]: They're not dressing the same, seems like maybe either the show got a budget bump and they were dressing nicer or they just, the style's changed.

[SPEAKER_00]: Cause like season six and seven are just not the same vibe, which we knew right.

[SPEAKER_00]: But then they're a viable, so easy to classify because it's called fall.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's one of my favorite fall episodes.

[SPEAKER_00]: It definitely captures the essence of the season.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I'd say it's one of if not the strongest iteration of that.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah, we've talked about probably my favorite one.

[SPEAKER_00]: We love fall.

[SPEAKER_00]: But I just I gravitate so hard towards those early seasons that I don't think anything can replace that feeling for me, you know, yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: I think that that's a thing is like, I've never really been one to sit down and be like, I'm gonna watch Gilmore Girls in the fall.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I think it's because I don't really watch those earlier seasons as much, because I've seen a lot of people recently, because of course, everyone's posting.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's Gilmore Girls Season in a lot of people in the comments are like, why?

[SPEAKER_00]: Like, it's a show that takes place over the entire course of the year.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's just cozy.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's a cozy show because so many people stop the show at season three or is more people more hilariously.

[SPEAKER_00]: Say when worry cuts are hair.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's kind of like the we've been real for that.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's hilarious.

[SPEAKER_00]: Even every scene people say when worry cuts are [SPEAKER_00]: No, I have never loved any questionable decisions, and the first one was her short hair kind.

[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, yeah, not no, but I think she looks cute.

[SPEAKER_00]: No, she does look cute, but things are the best look though.

[SPEAKER_00]: I think so too.

[SPEAKER_00]: We all have to bring down their hair styles, their clothing choices.

[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, we kind of talked about a little bit about the fashion in the show, but the show is more of like, related to the seasons for sure.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: If you were gonna have like a fall cozy night, what would be like the threes that you would pick from like any season, just like be like these at the top three, I'm, you know, in my sweater, my blankets on, I've lit my sandalwood and cedar candle, pumpkin and vanilla candle.

[SPEAKER_00]: Mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm, mm [SPEAKER_00]: the first three seasons, kiss and tell from season one, to skip a task if from season two, and a deep, fried crayon Thanksgiving for season three.

[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, what about you?

[SPEAKER_00]: Do I have to pick from the first three seasons?

[SPEAKER_00]: No, you can pick from whatever seasons you want.

[SPEAKER_00]: I just consider the first three seasons to be like the comfort season.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like I should pick this from those as well because that's the comfort collection.

[SPEAKER_00]: The comfort collection, totally.

[SPEAKER_00]: I just would be like remiss not to include Logan in it in some way despite the fact how many times have said Logan is spring.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna do the first three seasons and then I'll maybe I'll do my overall.

[SPEAKER_00]: Okay because the first one, I want to say the breakup.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's not a fall episode but it feels like the cozy episode.

[SPEAKER_00]: It is a cozy episode for sure.

[SPEAKER_00]: That I'd want to pick.

[SPEAKER_00]: Is that what I want to do?

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, I think I'm going to do the breakup part two, even though it's not a fall episode.

[SPEAKER_00]: Season two, I want to say the road trip to Harvard.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I almost picked that one too.

[SPEAKER_00]: I love the road trip to Harvard and then oh god, this one's hard.

[SPEAKER_00]: I think let the games begin.

[SPEAKER_00]: So good.

[SPEAKER_00]: I love those.

[SPEAKER_00]: I love those so good.

[SPEAKER_00]: But they shoot Gilmour's don't think that.

[SPEAKER_00]: I know.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's my favorite episode of all time.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god.

[SPEAKER_00]: We made up this game.

[SPEAKER_00]: Why is it so hard?

[SPEAKER_00]: And now we made the rules.

[SPEAKER_00]: We can change the rules at any moment.

[SPEAKER_00]: No, I like it.

[SPEAKER_00]: It makes the stakes higher.

[SPEAKER_00]: But I think if I was doing it like not just the first three, I think I'd watch fall from the revival.

[SPEAKER_00]: I think I would watch thelorolize for state Yale.

[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe Norman Miller impregnate.

[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_00]: I really wanted to throw in a good Logan episode in there.

[SPEAKER_00]: Aren't I?

[SPEAKER_00]: It's all right for fighting.

[SPEAKER_00]: I know that was the other one that I was trying to decide.

[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't know if I wouldn't early Logan or late Logan understand.

[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_00]: You're right.

[SPEAKER_00]: I want fall.

[SPEAKER_00]: The lore likes to stay at Yale.

[SPEAKER_00]: and Friday night's all right for fighting.

[SPEAKER_00]: A lot like that's my cozy night of its fall in stars hollow, okay?

[SPEAKER_00]: Even though it's not necessarily fall and almost every single one of those take place in stars hollow, what all does?

[SPEAKER_00]: Fall does, yeah, the beginning of the like, well, I'm just mostly thinking in the life and death brigade moment, of course, because I'm always willing to slow and come into it.

[SPEAKER_00]: You're right.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's so good.

[SPEAKER_00]: If I could add a four, yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'll add fall.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, it's good.

[SPEAKER_00]: Look at that.

[SPEAKER_00]: I don't have any good ones.

[SPEAKER_00]: I know.

[SPEAKER_00]: We should totally make a playlist.

[SPEAKER_00]: Like a fall episode cozy playlist.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, posted on our Instagram.

[SPEAKER_00]: Should we do like a terrorist cozy and a haleys cozy?

[SPEAKER_00]: Because I feel like those are a little different for sure.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's not cozy if Logan Huntsburgers not there to keep you warm to keep you warm.

[SPEAKER_00]: Listen, if Jess is not there in the shirt but jacket, I want nothing.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we'll definitely post our like cozy episodes for fall on our Instagram.

[SPEAKER_00]: I think that'll be a lot of fun.

[SPEAKER_00]: No, I'm so curious to know what our best do you think of that.

[SPEAKER_00]: In fact, if you have a fall cozy playlist, please call our hotline and share that with us because we're going to spend the next few episodes really combing through our voice mails.

[SPEAKER_00]: I know we have so many people.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh gosh, we have so many that we need to catch up on.

[SPEAKER_00]: So the next few episodes of both Gilmour to say and Gilmour to consider will consist of us.

[SPEAKER_00]: listening to your voice melons and responding really excited.

[SPEAKER_00]: I know.

[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to try to keep all of our episodes kind of on the same theme, so we'll respond to some of the fall playlists that we get, we'll respond to some other questions that we've had that we've been dying to share our answers with you guys.

[SPEAKER_00]: I can't wait.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be so good.

[SPEAKER_00]: I also have some silly questions for Terra to consider.

[SPEAKER_00]: What?

[SPEAKER_00]: We'll get to that more in the next episode.

[SPEAKER_00]: It was at the end, yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: Did I just end it?

[SPEAKER_00]: I think you should end it.
