[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, my brain just went I know.
[SPEAKER_04]: That information with it was a lot of this.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_04]: Well said.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's a spendful too.
[SPEAKER_03]: I threw that in.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that was that's a new one.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I heard that.
[SPEAKER_03]: You never know what's going to happen on this podcast.
[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, my God, I'm exhausted already.
[SPEAKER_04]: Have you guys seen Superman?
[SPEAKER_01]: No, if you see the guy, my friend has seen it three times already.
[SPEAKER_04]: My son sent me this picture.
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, that's adorable.
[SPEAKER_04]: The day after it was released, it's overseas where war is happening.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_04]: And he's wearing a Superman cape.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, which is.
[SPEAKER_04]: And it was just...
[SPEAKER_03]: a very moving photo her wrenching yeah the world needs Superman right now yes i i have to admit i'm a little i i've been a little burned out for a while on the marvel thing but this this one seems kind of interesting like the superhero thing but this one seems kind of interesting [SPEAKER_01]: I like it.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's also DC.
[SPEAKER_01]: No, Marvel.
[SPEAKER_03]: So I know.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, that's why it's a screen frame from saying anything because I get mom like how can I make the mix up.
[SPEAKER_03]: But I do it just [SPEAKER_03]: Well, I knew it was DC, but I say Marvel, but you're saying they'll super hero type of movie hero.
[SPEAKER_00]: You're burnt out.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: And I know a lot of people listening are going to say like, how dare you, but I don't know.
[SPEAKER_03]: I kind of got there was so much of it.
[SPEAKER_03]: Being honest.
[SPEAKER_03]: And they're really, they were really good and probably are still good.
[SPEAKER_03]: It was too much of them.
[SPEAKER_03]: But this one seems different.
[SPEAKER_04]: sometimes there's too many of them all at once you're like come on give us one at a time so we can enjoy the meal yeah what makes it special is it's James gun directing this there's that oh we love him we love James breaking talent is the galaxy yes I like this feeling it feels like more like the comic books come to life I mean for me Chris Reeve will always be my [SPEAKER_04]: But yeah, because he really did embody the dorkiness of Clark and being such a well-rounded man.
[SPEAKER_04]: It was like he was so, like, going to healthy masculine, right?
[SPEAKER_04]: He was just such a great guy.
[SPEAKER_04]: And there is that.
[SPEAKER_01]: This actor he's definitely more of an every man in comparison to Chris Reeve when I look at this guy This guy could be the mechanic down the street.
[SPEAKER_04]: You know, I'm saying it's like, well, but that's but that's the beauty of the real hot This is Nick I was gonna say that he's a little bit like our Ethan pack like when he dresses down He still has that head of Bobby Curl Yeah Charming and sexy and smart and [SPEAKER_04]: need I go on about.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, but this David has the same qualities.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, he does.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, he has the moppy hair as Clark and you're like, uh, uh, and that's his hair.
[SPEAKER_04]: He can help be, but be that gorgeous.
[SPEAKER_04]: It's great.
[SPEAKER_04]: But he also is very grounded.
[SPEAKER_04]: I like that there's a bigger picture to this entire film.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_04]: about this is a time that they, not just the earth, the people, all of us need hope for a better future.
[SPEAKER_04]: And we can do a tale that right into our lovely Star Trek franchise.
[SPEAKER_04]: There's a sort of...
[SPEAKER_01]: So, Terry, is that a thumbs up for the Superman film?
[SPEAKER_01]: Are you thinking it's a good idea?
[SPEAKER_04]: I need to watch it again, though, because I was so completely exhausted.
[SPEAKER_04]: I did, I did those out a couple of times.
[SPEAKER_04]: OK.
[SPEAKER_03]: Is it a long one?
[SPEAKER_04]: No, no, no.
[SPEAKER_04]: It was just because I had a house guest.
[SPEAKER_04]: And we were up from 12.30 to 6.30.
[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, we slept from 12.30, 6.30.
[SPEAKER_04]: So six hours a night.
[SPEAKER_04]: And then we did a road trip down to Carl's Bad Caves.
[SPEAKER_04]: I'll only go on one night, so I did all the driving and then I just ran on a gas.
[SPEAKER_03]: That happens.
[SPEAKER_03]: I do.
[SPEAKER_04]: It happens.
[SPEAKER_03]: I wish I'd done that last night and still I stood up for three in the morning, but yeah, but you're like finishing right.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_04]: When you're so close to finishing, it's so hard to get back to bed.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I was telling you guys, I was telling Terry and Garrett about.
[SPEAKER_03]: I just I've been working on my director website for like five days straight.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm so proud of it.
[SPEAKER_03]: Check it out rdm director dot com.
[SPEAKER_01]: Please go check it out.
[SPEAKER_01]: Anyone can check it out.
[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, are you allowed to give out that information?
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you are.
[SPEAKER_01]: Anybody can go look at that.
[SPEAKER_01]: So it's my weapon.
[SPEAKER_00]: Let's go.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: I could tell it.
[SPEAKER_02]: Our name.
[SPEAKER_01]: Direct them to rdmdirector.com.
[SPEAKER_01]: There you go.
[SPEAKER_03]: I've been doing it all myself and you and you're still tweaking it.
[SPEAKER_01]: So proud.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm gonna keep tweaking it now.
[SPEAKER_01]: I was very little rascals of you.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, the way you said that.
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm so proud.
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, everyone.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's time to say happy birthday to a couple of people.
[SPEAKER_03]: Starting with loose loose has a birthday in September.
[SPEAKER_03]: No, I ain't happy birthday loose.
[SPEAKER_04]: Happy birthday, Louis.
[SPEAKER_04]: Light up your life.
[SPEAKER_01]: Happy birthday, Louis.
[SPEAKER_01]: Less than a week after, Louis's birthday on September 13th.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's Danielle Kaminsky's birthday.
[SPEAKER_01]: Happy birthday to Danielle on September 13th.
[SPEAKER_04]: Happy birthday, Danielle.
[SPEAKER_01]: Happy birthday, Danielle.
[SPEAKER_03]: Some of the greatest poets in the English language, like Garrett Wong, Robert Don't from Agneal, Terry Farrell, sons of Mogue, artistic poetry coming right up.
[SPEAKER_03]: Here we go.
[SPEAKER_03]: Worf's brother seems like he's a goner.
[SPEAKER_03]: This family visit will be a marathoner.
[SPEAKER_03]: Kurn is very combative.
[SPEAKER_03]: He really doesn't want to live.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's not easy dealing with your feelings of honor.
[SPEAKER_04]: I freaking like that.
[SPEAKER_03]: Did did you?
[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, what I didn't like is that you didn't commit to it like it Am I not right?
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I'm gonna go very dramatic with this.
[SPEAKER_04]: I'll fall that up here.
[SPEAKER_03]: We go.
[SPEAKER_03]: Here we go.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah Here's my lemric Worf's brother seems like he's a goner this family visit will be a marathoner [SPEAKER_03]: his very combative, he really doesn't want to live.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's not easy dealing with your feelings of honor.
[SPEAKER_04]: Hmm.
[SPEAKER_04]: I think that was better.
[SPEAKER_04]: A better read.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: I was giving a little judge.
[SPEAKER_04]: Honestly, I don't think it needed Judge, but I think it needed you to be how a commitment respect the fact that you created a little piece of work.
[SPEAKER_02]: Mm-hmm.
[SPEAKER_04]: And just because you did it in a short period of time, doesn't mean it's worth not worth it.
[SPEAKER_03]: I thought it was really good.
[SPEAKER_03]: You just got to go with your instincts.
[SPEAKER_03]: Can't overthink it?
[SPEAKER_04]: No.
[SPEAKER_04]: My poem for.
[SPEAKER_04]: The sons of Mop is my life mine, rules surround my time, physical pain or mental, strict dogma, hardly gentle.
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, no.
[SPEAKER_01]: Really?
[SPEAKER_03]: They're always so beautiful and deep and sensitive.
[SPEAKER_01]: They're just thoughtful when they make you think too.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_04]: Well, well, just kind of yanked my chain.
[SPEAKER_04]: Is this idea?
[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, I want to say I do wish I had more time with it.
[SPEAKER_04]: But what yanked my chain is, [SPEAKER_04]: it's okay if somebody else kills you in battle.
[SPEAKER_04]: It's okay if you get killed because you're in physical pain.
[SPEAKER_04]: When you're in the kind of mental pain that in my personal experience is far worse than physical pain.
[SPEAKER_04]: You know, and there's no mandate for it or pain killer for it.
[SPEAKER_04]: Not really.
[SPEAKER_04]: Not really.
[SPEAKER_04]: If you're not medicated on something, you feel it.
[SPEAKER_04]: But he's feeling like he doesn't belong as a part of this world.
[SPEAKER_04]: And it's not a brand new feeling and it sounds like he's very clear on it.
[SPEAKER_04]: And he can't go, but who's to say now, it's okay to take his memory, but it's okay.
[SPEAKER_04]: Not how is that different from taking his physical body?
[SPEAKER_04]: It just, there's a lot there to explore.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_04]: It deserves more time.
[SPEAKER_04]: This kind of a subject.
[SPEAKER_04]: Because a lot of people face it.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
[SPEAKER_01]: Here's my high coup for sense of moq.
[SPEAKER_01]: Curn once mock tovor.
[SPEAKER_01]: Cisco yells at Warf and Dax.
[SPEAKER_01]: It does.
[SPEAKER_01]: Memories erased.
[SPEAKER_01]: That was great.
[SPEAKER_01]: That was great.
[SPEAKER_01]: That was great.
[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you.
[SPEAKER_01]: Very nice.
[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, Ronald, you more.
[SPEAKER_04]: Of course.
[SPEAKER_01]: Wrong.
[SPEAKER_04]: Amazing.
[SPEAKER_01]: We love Ron.
[SPEAKER_01]: David Livingston is the director on this one.
[SPEAKER_03]: Just funny because it didn't feel like classic David Livingston really.
[SPEAKER_03]: It didn't.
[SPEAKER_04]: I actually started watching it and I thought, wait, I didn't see who the director was.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, same.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_04]: And I thought, oh, I was surprised.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, guest stars, Tony Todd, the talented Tony Todd is current slash rodeck.
[SPEAKER_01]: Also Robert Dukui as Nogra, we have co-stars Dell Yant as Tolikea, who is that Boslick guy that's in the, he was good.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's the one that, that, that current was like, open that up now, you know, or whatever he's talking to, little Tolikea.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then Elliott Woods, as the Klingon officer, I think he's the one that gets phasored that has the little night program right.
[SPEAKER_01]: Poor guy.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, he did have a night.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he was going to kill us.
[SPEAKER_01]: So he was like, yeah, he was defending his brother.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you know, so it was going to be Worf Shishkabab.
[SPEAKER_01]: So he stopped it from happening.
[SPEAKER_01]: So, okay.
[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
[SPEAKER_01]: A little bit of trivia here.
[SPEAKER_01]: The working title of this episode was Brother's keeper.
[SPEAKER_01]: and I like that.
[SPEAKER_01]: I actually like that title better.
[SPEAKER_01]: Me, Sun's a bug.
[SPEAKER_01]: Sun's a bug almost seems like a cop out.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, hey, let's just Sun's a bug.
[SPEAKER_04]: Well, also you're disguising at like, yeah, we're going out.
[SPEAKER_04]: It's about them, uh, I don't know.
[SPEAKER_04]: It kind of has a hero vibe to it.
[SPEAKER_04]: Like, they're going to conquer.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, okay.
[SPEAKER_01]: Let me just read a little bit about this original draft.
[SPEAKER_01]: So Ronald D.
Moore is a original draft of this teleplay for this episode.
[SPEAKER_01]: When Kern arrives in the station, warfare refuses to perform the mock-to-var ritual.
[SPEAKER_01]: And the episode concerns Worf trying to find Kurt a job, all the while current continually pleading with Worf to kill him.
[SPEAKER_01]: According to more, the problem with this draft was that all of the tension was built upon the fact that the audience didn't know if eventually Worf might give in and actually acquiesce to current.
[SPEAKER_01]: However, you knew Worf wasn't going to kill his brother and the rest was all very by the number stuff.
[SPEAKER_01]: it was while trying to instill more tension in the episode that more hit on the notion to have worth actually perform the ritual and not at the end of the episode, but right up front at the start.
[SPEAKER_01]: According to more, he was hoping that this unexpected move on Worf's part would make the audience sit up and go, whoa!
[SPEAKER_01]: We should does.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, we're all going.
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, it does.
[SPEAKER_01]: My goodness.
[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
[SPEAKER_01]: This episode contains the very first hint of a possible attraction between Warfin' Jedsia, Dax, and that's so true.
[SPEAKER_01]: It was like, it was like, where is this coming from?
[SPEAKER_01]: It was like, left field.
[SPEAKER_01]: So the writers put Michael Doran and Terry together in this episode, mainly to see if they had any on-screen chemistry.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, it was a screen test.
[SPEAKER_01]: And I ran away.
[SPEAKER_01]: And when it was discovered.
[SPEAKER_01]: They ate for it, too.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: a paid screen test.
[SPEAKER_01]: And when it was discovered that they did have chemistry, the writers the writers decided to make them a couple.
[SPEAKER_01]: So it was off of this and also that they enjoyed their on-screen chemistry and boom.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, well I'm glad they did.
[SPEAKER_04]: I think it was the first fight scene.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, exactly.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh yeah, yeah, you guys nailed it.
[SPEAKER_01]: And finally, so Rock Lofton unfortunately does not appear in this episode.
[SPEAKER_03]: I feel like there's a bunch of episodes lately he has in the Oh yeah, I like seeing Jake.
[SPEAKER_03]: I do.
[SPEAKER_04]: I like seeing everybody, but the truth is, I mean, obviously Andy's not in this episode either as he but he's not serious regular, but he feels like he is.
[SPEAKER_04]: He does.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Let's jump in.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, jump in.
[SPEAKER_03]: Hey, we're in the caves.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_03]: Daxon worth fighting it up.
[SPEAKER_04]: Well, and first when we open, I'm like, where is worth?
[SPEAKER_04]: This is cool.
[SPEAKER_04]: We're opening up and I thought, it seems like a mission.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_04]: It did seem like a mission.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he's kind of walking through the caves.
[SPEAKER_03]: He's got this small, what is it called?
[SPEAKER_03]: It's McLeft.
[SPEAKER_03]: McLeft, yes.
[SPEAKER_03]: He's got the McLeft.
[SPEAKER_03]: But he runs into Dax.
[SPEAKER_03]: And they fight some nice moves, by the way, nice action there, good athletic choreography.
[SPEAKER_03]: Worf wins though, he takes his little mech left and breaks the batlet, too, which is a cool move.
[SPEAKER_03]: I never saw that before.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but at that point I'm like was that Batleth made of porcelain?
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, well, how does it break that easily?
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm a little, I'm sorry.
[SPEAKER_04]: If Worf is that strong, you do not beat me in like two strokes.
[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
[SPEAKER_01]: So I have my issues with that, that's all.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: I thought it was super cool.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: He's an alien.
[SPEAKER_03]: Come on.
[SPEAKER_03]: He's all right.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_04]: We'll just go with it's a cool move.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: And he's super strong.
[SPEAKER_04]: Doesn't matter.
[SPEAKER_04]: We're also making it possible or in space.
[SPEAKER_04]: And he's playing on and I am a trail.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_04]: So.
[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, so Warf wins, DAX acknowledges that this mechleth she's convinced.
[SPEAKER_03]: Wow, she's learned a little something the mechleth is pretty cool.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's got some advantages, then Warf says what you were trying to take advantage of.
[SPEAKER_03]: of me with that outfit on.
[SPEAKER_03]: So flirting.
[SPEAKER_04]: He said that I was over confident.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, that's what he said distracting me with your outfit.
[SPEAKER_04]: And then I said he is too.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, with your sexy growls.
[SPEAKER_03]: It was very, they wrote a screen test for you guys for sure.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_04]: And no warning.
[SPEAKER_04]: It wasn't like they said if you guys, we weren't in on it.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, you played it.
[SPEAKER_03]: You guys played it beautifully.
[SPEAKER_03]: It was great.
[SPEAKER_01]: Very well done did anyone think like okay, but that's a human thing to be distracted by a like what would a clean on's be distracted by outfits would they be Stracted by cleavage would if they distracted by fangs or teeth also worth is becoming more human.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's all right, I will buy that.
[SPEAKER_01]: I will buy that Robbie.
[SPEAKER_01]: That makes sense.
[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_04]: Well, and I'm taxed.
[SPEAKER_04]: I just do what I do.
[SPEAKER_03]: I was just more comfortable in that and I let that out fit the broken D that all are look great cranberry whatever it was I look great so very nice very nice Bob Blackman good job so out of calls he says uh please report to airlock five commander there's an intoxicated cling on here who's demanding to see you [SPEAKER_03]: and Worf has to miss you know give up the girl here reluctantly we go to the airlock we do see this drunk and cling on he's got a knife he's got a dagger it's Tony Todd yes her and Worf's brother and he says uh i want you to kill me [SPEAKER_03]: That's the scene.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, that's sort of hard to wrap your brain around.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_01]: Hi, brother.
[SPEAKER_04]: Stab me to death, please.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: And it's a click on ritual, right?
[SPEAKER_01]: So this is something that they both grew up with.
[SPEAKER_01]: They understand what this means.
[SPEAKER_01]: Mocked them more.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's not just like, hey, come, just kill me.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's a ritual that's going to happen.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Ready for this.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_04]: You can think of, like, do you remember the, and do you remember?
[SPEAKER_04]: Do you remember the, or the corn corn juice drinks, K-E-R-N?
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, I do, I do.
[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, yes, I do.
[SPEAKER_04]: They were really expensive, but they were like, uh, like mango and apricot, they were like a puree or something.
[SPEAKER_01]: So do, so whenever you were watching this episode, every time you heard current, did you think about juice?
[SPEAKER_04]: I did.
[SPEAKER_04]: Got it.
[SPEAKER_04]: I think he's a peach.
[SPEAKER_04]: He's a peach.
[SPEAKER_01]: And Robert you think about a colonel of corn, every day.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_01]: From Iowa.
[SPEAKER_03]: Corn is lying on the couch there.
[SPEAKER_03]: He's twitching.
[SPEAKER_03]: He has drunk.
[SPEAKER_03]: He's having the D.T.s.
[SPEAKER_03]: Who knows.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's up.
[SPEAKER_03]: And he's kind of watching.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's uncomfortable to watch.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_03]: He's looking at his hand or something.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_04]: What was that?
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and there's a green glass of liquid sitting on this table.
[SPEAKER_03]: It turns basically mad.
[SPEAKER_03]: He says the family has been dishonored, worth has shamed them, they've lost everything.
[SPEAKER_03]: I like how Tony Todd's, he's hung over whatever, but he's really agitated at the top of the scene.
[SPEAKER_03]: And I really liked at the end of this scene as he talks to him about losing everything.
[SPEAKER_03]: He starts kind of seducing him in a way.
[SPEAKER_03]: Like as an actor, he turns from this, [SPEAKER_03]: you know, bombastic kind of, uh, yeah.
[SPEAKER_04]: That's not working.
[SPEAKER_04]: So we shift scares.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: I thought it was really a smart turn.
[SPEAKER_03]: And it also allowed Colonel of corn in the background to to be kind of, um, [SPEAKER_03]: getting into Worf's head with these ideas, it looks, you know, losing honor, losing status the family, because there was that close-up of Michael Dorn and you see Kern in the background, but he's out of focus there, and I thought it was really nice.
[SPEAKER_04]: I'd like to add something.
[SPEAKER_04]: I was wondering in this, if Kern is actually making Worf, [SPEAKER_04]: consider contemplate for the first time the consequences of him stand of him choosing the Federation over because I remember that episode we saw it together and it was like yeah good for war but I do remember not spending much time thinking about losing the seat in the council the land how it's going to affect their families everything has been confiscated they have [SPEAKER_04]: No.
[SPEAKER_04]: And it was because Warf stood with the Federation.
[SPEAKER_04]: So this is also in that moment thinking this is how Warf is going to do what his brother needs him to do because he didn't consider the consequences so wholeheartedly.
[SPEAKER_04]: He really did think time would pass, things would get better and he'd go back and get [SPEAKER_04]: this kind of hurt my heart for him a little bit because we've all made choices that we haven't completely considered the consequences for people we love.
[SPEAKER_04]: And then regretful for that.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: And based on what Garrett what you said earlier that Ron Moore originally [SPEAKER_03]: didn't have him attempt, Chris, who was a tradition in this mock-up story.
[SPEAKER_03]: Moxivore didn't have him do it in the first draft.
[SPEAKER_03]: This is the only scene.
[SPEAKER_03]: This scene has to turn him to make that choice.
[SPEAKER_03]: So it's not, this is a very important scene.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, we hear a Brian's log.
[SPEAKER_03]: He says operations log, start eight, four nine, five, five, six, point two.
[SPEAKER_03]: He says Major Kira and I returned to the station after completing our inspection tour of Bajor and colonies along the Cardassian border.
[SPEAKER_03]: So they're heading back to DS9.
[SPEAKER_03]: Kira's a sleep.
[SPEAKER_03]: She got her back to us, her feet were all weird.
[SPEAKER_03]: It was weird.
[SPEAKER_04]: I thought it was our dinner.
[SPEAKER_04]: That's hard to believe.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it was weird.
[SPEAKER_04]: And in the chair.
[SPEAKER_01]: She played it well though.
[SPEAKER_01]: I, I mean, I believed it.
[SPEAKER_04]: I was like, okay, I'd believe it more if I was reclined and she was relaxed.
[SPEAKER_04]: He'd up cross seven hours.
[SPEAKER_03]: She said seven hours.
[SPEAKER_04]: Not our freedom fighter.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, gosh.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, she's asleep a Brian wakes her up and they're re-entering but during space and they do take a shot of quarks food and it's seen.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's weird.
[SPEAKER_01]: But no one's taking a shot of quarks food.
[SPEAKER_04]: But those two might, but I don't think everybody does.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it clearly definitely does.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, it's, it's Carrie hates him.
[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
[SPEAKER_01]: I get that right.
[SPEAKER_01]: She hates him because he's quirk.
[SPEAKER_04]: So she might hate his food just because she hates him.
[SPEAKER_01]: Correct, but there's no comment of quirk having crappy food until now.
[SPEAKER_01]: This is the season for now.
[SPEAKER_03]: Right.
[SPEAKER_03]: Does Carrie hate all for Engie's or is it just quirk?
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's a good question.
[SPEAKER_04]: All for Engie, she doesn't trust.
[SPEAKER_04]: And especially Kate's cork.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, because he gets away with stuff that's not okay to get away.
[SPEAKER_02]: I get it.
[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
[SPEAKER_04]: And then I kind of weird that we're federation space station and that he does, I mean, only because it's a TV show.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah.
[SPEAKER_04]: Because otherwise, this guy would be gone and there'd be a new guy.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, I think it's interesting that he got, I'm glad he gets away with it and continues to practice his pharyngey perspective on things because it makes the station more interesting that it's not a perfect place.
[SPEAKER_04]: No, and he's great in this episode and he's like in two tiny scenes, but in both it just bam right in the head.
[SPEAKER_04]: He's so good.
[SPEAKER_03]: He's really good.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, there's an explosion outside.
[SPEAKER_03]: They pick up some some kind of high energy discharge.
[SPEAKER_03]: very close my 5,000 kilometers away so they had to go see it and we could have to space.
[SPEAKER_03]: I love this flyby shop, but it's it's a CGI flyby we're so used to the same model shots over and over so to see it.
[SPEAKER_03]: a new angle I thought was cool.
[SPEAKER_03]: We're back inside the bridge.
[SPEAKER_03]: We see a cling-on-ship declok.
[SPEAKER_03]: And it says that they're doing some military exercises here.
[SPEAKER_03]: They were cloaked, tell them to leave.
[SPEAKER_03]: Kira just doesn't buy it.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, what's weird is that there's no debris, hey, there's nothing they have.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, there's a big flash of light.
[SPEAKER_01]: Flash is explosion, but there's no, so you're assuming there has to be some type of residue.
[SPEAKER_01]: There's nothing, so there are what's going on.
[SPEAKER_04]: And we don't see the explosion guys who are listening.
[SPEAKER_04]: We are in the run about and we see a flash of light Yeah, like light inside of but yeah, exactly, but we don't see what it was right Well, we go to quarks for one of Terry's favorite scenes Dax comes in she's looking for worth [SPEAKER_03]: And Quark is very sad, kind of low energy at the scene.
[SPEAKER_03]: I like how Armin played this.
[SPEAKER_03]: It was very grounded and just effortlessly.
[SPEAKER_04]: And we don't usually see him in the state when someone makes it.
[SPEAKER_04]: It's usually he's angry about it.
[SPEAKER_04]: But not just what did I do wrong.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: he says that warf was really rude to him that warf ordered some incense and then through quark across the bar when quark replicated it.
[SPEAKER_03]: So I confused like why?
[SPEAKER_03]: It wasn't authentic.
[SPEAKER_01]: He got thrown across the bar my gosh.
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_03]: Dax says what kind of incense and quark says it was an adonji and quark.
[SPEAKER_03]: Dax knows what that means.
[SPEAKER_03]: She's very concerned.
[SPEAKER_03]: She takes off and Quark is insulted again.
[SPEAKER_03]: He's like, great.
[SPEAKER_04]: Right.
[SPEAKER_04]: I don't answer him and I just run away.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: He's like, that's it.
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to stop talking to all the customers from no one.
[SPEAKER_03]: Very funny.
[SPEAKER_04]: It was cute.
[SPEAKER_03]: It was cute.
[SPEAKER_03]: Inside worst quarters though, this felt the very David Livingston this scene kind of that time shot with a smokey incense and it was a wonder, but it was this ceremony to prepare to, you know, finish off current here and outside in the promenade, we see Dax run into Odo, she learns that it's worst brother that came.
[SPEAKER_03]: That was the drum clang on and so she takes off, tells, uh, order to come with her.
[SPEAKER_03]: Back inside worse quarter, I can't believe it, but he does that he takes this.
[SPEAKER_04]: Oh my word, yeah, close up.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think we've ever seen a cling on chest, a bear chest before.
[SPEAKER_03]: No.
[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I'm saying?
[SPEAKER_01]: Like this is my first thing.
[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, look at that.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's just as rigid as their foreheads.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's all those little bumps and grooves and everything, which I was really surprised.
[SPEAKER_04]: I was like, wow, it's a good detail.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and they often don't show these kind of details of blood or violence, but I think they wanted as you said, Garrett, in the beginning, Ron thought it was important for the audience to go, oh my god, what did that?
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, and it's super clear what happened.
[SPEAKER_04]: It's not through a uniform, you're not, you don't have to rewind to be sure.
[SPEAKER_04]: It's a close-up.
[SPEAKER_03]: And I think they probably built a torso, [SPEAKER_03]: you know, take the dagger and jam it into the prop.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: So that insert was very graphic for Star Trek for sure.
[SPEAKER_01]: A bit of trivia about that blade that he uses.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's called the Mevok blade.
[SPEAKER_01]: And this type of blade is used in a mock-to-vor ritual.
[SPEAKER_01]: It was designed by illustrator John Eves.
[SPEAKER_01]: Because the screenplay did not specify any particular design type Eves was allowed a free hand [SPEAKER_01]: and he ultimately designed it with two separate blades, one for extinguishing the physical life, and one for freeing the soul to allow it to travel to Stilvacore.
[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, very cool.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think when you give your department heads or you give people free reign to kind of like be creative, they come up with some cool stuff.
[SPEAKER_03]: When you're seeing my mind, I've seen that prop at conventions, that a lot of cosplay people will, [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: We'll now create that.
[SPEAKER_03]: They'll have that same blade box to bore.
[SPEAKER_03]: They're the mevel blade.
[SPEAKER_03]: So now we're in the captain's office.
[SPEAKER_03]: We see the dagger that Mevel blade, that cool mevel blade.
[SPEAKER_03]: We see it on Cisco's desk.
[SPEAKER_04]: with the blood still on it.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_04]: Eck.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you think it's cleaning up?
[SPEAKER_03]: And then you come in.
[SPEAKER_04]: Eck, how about you, Garrett?
[SPEAKER_04]: Isn't that a little weird to leave the blood on it?
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's glory, this episode.
[SPEAKER_04]: Right, yeah.
[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, for Star Trek, yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: Exactly.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's Korean.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's not because what the actual, you know, in a scene prior, you see Warf bring the hand up.
[SPEAKER_01]: You don't see it actually plunging in.
[SPEAKER_01]: You see the after effect when it's stuck in his chest.
[SPEAKER_01]: But there should be far more blood there.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it should be everywhere.
[SPEAKER_01]: But so it is still tame in terms of right.
[SPEAKER_01]: They pulled it back.
[SPEAKER_01]: I could have been it.
[SPEAKER_04]: Well, they didn't have me running and put my hands right on it.
[SPEAKER_04]: Dax has magic hands.
[SPEAKER_01]: She has his hands that can completely cover every, yeah, there we go, we'll go with that magic.
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know why Odo didn't go down there because he could he could change [SPEAKER_01]: Well, Cisco's mad in the scene.
[SPEAKER_01]: Avery was really lined up.
[SPEAKER_01]: Are you kidding me?
[SPEAKER_01]: He was furious.
[SPEAKER_01]: He was perfect.
[SPEAKER_04]: Genius.
[SPEAKER_01]: Tom went up to 11.
[SPEAKER_04]: He was perfect tone for that.
[SPEAKER_01]: Great scene for Avery.
[SPEAKER_01]: Great scene.
[SPEAKER_01]: Really, really good.
[SPEAKER_01]: Good job.
[SPEAKER_03]: We do learn from Dax.
[SPEAKER_03]: The Colonel of Corn will survive.
[SPEAKER_03]: And Dax defends Warf.
[SPEAKER_03]: She says this is a cling on traditions.
[SPEAKER_03]: And she knows she knows a lot about clinging on.
[SPEAKER_03]: So she's kind of explaining and I'm not being flipper light about it.
[SPEAKER_01]: No, you're not, but this is good.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to hear any of that.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's just like, no, just both of you just get out of my office.
[SPEAKER_01]: He screams.
[SPEAKER_03]: He's like, this is a feather.
[SPEAKER_03]: This is a Starfleet station.
[SPEAKER_01]: We're in charge here.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's not a clinging on like.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you're not cling on officers.
[SPEAKER_01]: There's not a cling on station, right?
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_04]: No, and also Cisco, what I like, makes clear how he's really given more of pretty wide birth on his cling on his own, but this is going too far.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, correct.
[SPEAKER_03]: Dax defends him, says that, you know, maybe there's other options, but Cisco kicks them out.
[SPEAKER_03]: And Dax also says this will never happen again.
[SPEAKER_03]: So she's kind of taking the Federation line there.
[SPEAKER_03]: this is not the solution for this situation.
[SPEAKER_03]: There's other ones.
[SPEAKER_03]: So we head off to the replamat next, Miles and Kira say that maybe this is a cling-on, cloaked target drone, what are the cling-ons up to?
[SPEAKER_03]: They're trying to figure out what this [SPEAKER_03]: mystery explosion was and it just doesn't seem to add up.
[SPEAKER_03]: Cisco does say run some sensor sweeps take the defiant out there run some sensors sweep see what's going on if cling on's ask why they're there tell them that that this is absolutely legal per their interstellar agreements.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah military exercises they are.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah same thing they're allowed to do this and [SPEAKER_03]: It was so well written that Avery didn't carry over his angst from being disappointed with [SPEAKER_04]: then carrying over to the next scene when Kira says, should we bring Wurf and or should I, she feels understood, should I take Wurf?
[SPEAKER_04]: I don't want Wurf anywhere near any other Clingons right now, but inform him on what's going on.
[SPEAKER_04]: But no circumstances is easy to accompany you, is that clear?
[SPEAKER_04]: And so in that, but he still kept a lid on it.
[SPEAKER_04]: Like, it's none of your business what happened.
[SPEAKER_04]: I'm going to share it.
[SPEAKER_04]: But I thought it was great when O'Brien is sort of wants to, he says, all he says is, sir.
[SPEAKER_04]: And this goes, don't say it chief.
[SPEAKER_04]: I've already got one officer defending morph, and I was like, it was me.
[SPEAKER_04]: And I got me too.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, it's well, it swings it back around to the camaraderie that we all have for each other, one for all and all for one kind of feeling, right?
[SPEAKER_04]: So I just thought it was really well-written and I know it's in a big scene, but it's these kernels of kernels of kernels of kernels.
[SPEAKER_04]: There you go of us connecting and having community with each other like a family.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_04]: That is one of those scenes.
[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, it's not everywhere.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, to your point, every every episode of DS9 I watch.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm always more and more impressed by the writing by the writers and they're, they're a command of the, of the dialogue.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's, it's so well done.
[SPEAKER_01]: It really is.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_04]: And we can't confront and hit everything in the face.
[SPEAKER_03]: We go to the infirmary next, and we see our kernel of corn and a cardazzy and life support.
[SPEAKER_03]: Like a, it's basically like a cardazzy and a corn lung.
[SPEAKER_03]: It was very cool with a glass, like the triangle shape of it, it was cool.
[SPEAKER_04]: I was watching an episode of foundation.
[SPEAKER_04]: So I could see said, and last night, there was a box and foundation that you play with.
[SPEAKER_04]: And then it gives a big map of the universe, I guess.
[SPEAKER_04]: I wonder if they saw this episode to inspire them because their box and what was on Tony Todd's head was very similar.
[SPEAKER_03]: Interesting.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's also in pardon me, Terry, for bringing up our other show.
[SPEAKER_01]: But um, what does that remind you of Robbie?
[SPEAKER_01]: Netflix, when he had the iron, we had holographic guns.
[SPEAKER_01]: We had to move it all.
[SPEAKER_01]: He was told to stuck in the [SPEAKER_01]: that he had a holographic lung that was projected.
[SPEAKER_01]: He could not move at all because like the lungs are holographic.
[SPEAKER_01]: So he was totally in in traffic bay and yeah.
[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, and did the lungs resemble that same pattern that was over Tony Todd's face?
[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, just the fact that he was just hot as restrict like life support.
[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, okay.
[SPEAKER_03]: Like a light, he was in a life support kind of [SPEAKER_01]: Thank you.
[SPEAKER_01]: Appreciate it.
[SPEAKER_03]: Colonel of corn is very upset that he is alive.
[SPEAKER_03]: He's really just he can't believe he's alive.
[SPEAKER_04]: No, he wanted to wake up to stove a core.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and Worf says that this wasn't my choice For you to be here, you know, so Worf's kind of saying I was I was respectful of this tradition I would of this, you know, I was a being a good cling-on and doing What you wanted, but Current says that Worf is a disgrace He says so am I our entire family and [SPEAKER_03]: He brings up the brother thing here, you know, he does talk about how, how warf is his big brother.
[SPEAKER_03]: And this happens a few times in the episode, which I really like, that he's like, tell me what to do, you know, you're my big brother.
[SPEAKER_03]: So there's a lot of that.
[SPEAKER_03]: family vibes going on in a way that feels like DS9, like the family of it all, that Cisco, you know, his story deals with Mazzo Brian's family stories, like this feels like another family story in a good way.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's a good fit for DS9.
[SPEAKER_01]: And the final words out of current in this scene, I have no life, I have no death, whatever is to become of me is up to you, he says to, to war.
[SPEAKER_01]: So now it's all, it's all wars game now.
[SPEAKER_01]: What's going to happen to his brother.
[SPEAKER_03]: Mm-hmm.
[SPEAKER_03]: We go into Warf's court or speaking of Warf.
[SPEAKER_03]: Dax comes in, apologizes for interfering, um, she really gets clean on's, you know, you can see in this scene.
[SPEAKER_03]: I see why they put these characters together because Dax has always kind of had, uh, [SPEAKER_03]: you know, an appreciation and attraction to cling on culture and appreciation of it.
[SPEAKER_04]: And that's hers on probably the, I think she was interested anyway, but his vast knowledge of and being in the brethren.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_04]: definitely gives her an edge.
[SPEAKER_03]: She offers, you know, to help anything she can do.
[SPEAKER_03]: Worf just doesn't know what to do next.
[SPEAKER_03]: And, uh, DAX suggests, well, current could stay here.
[SPEAKER_03]: Get a job here.
[SPEAKER_03]: DAX suggests security, which is interesting.
[SPEAKER_03]: I thought, Odo really work with Odo.
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
[SPEAKER_03]: But we do, we cut to the security office.
[SPEAKER_03]: Odo thinks Kern will be too violent.
[SPEAKER_03]: He says to war.
[SPEAKER_03]: He just, it's a bad idea.
[SPEAKER_03]: And warf says, no, he can make adjustments.
[SPEAKER_03]: And Odo does see in the scene that it's difficult for warf to ask for a favor.
[SPEAKER_03]: He says, I appreciate how difficult it must be for you.
[SPEAKER_03]: Asking for a favor, especially for me.
[SPEAKER_03]: Have Kern report here tomorrow morning.
[SPEAKER_03]: We'll give it a shot.
[SPEAKER_03]: And warf says, I'm indebted to you.
[SPEAKER_03]: you expect.
[SPEAKER_03]: Usually when somebody says I really owe you, you know, most people are like, oh, don't worry about it.
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, it was like, yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Are you owe me?
[SPEAKER_01]: And I'll call you out on that and in the future, I will, I will come to guess my, what you need.
[SPEAKER_04]: You'll find, I'm a man who collects on his death.
[SPEAKER_04]: And with no uncertain terms, with no flow, no shame.
[SPEAKER_01]: No shame.
[SPEAKER_01]: kind of mean, but no one says that though.
[SPEAKER_04]: Maybe that's why it sounded mean.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because it's so like I'm going to owe you.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, you do.
[SPEAKER_04]: And it's going to be 10 times worse.
[SPEAKER_04]: Come and back.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, it was just so snotty.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, it was especially after his whole drama.
[SPEAKER_04]: He's going through with his brother.
[SPEAKER_04]: That's how you were.
[SPEAKER_03]: No sense of activity.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: We go to the airlock [SPEAKER_03]: Oh my god and ask how's it going and Odo says always only killed four Boslich so far And I guess I'm just joking.
[SPEAKER_03]: We're gonna sense the humor.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, like not dude I think that was funny right away You know, I was like I was like, did he kill them?
[SPEAKER_01]: What I was like what yes blurred lines [SPEAKER_01]: Kurt doesn't like the outfit at all, and it's funny because Warf thinks he doesn't like the job.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's like, no, literally this outfit is so dumb.
[SPEAKER_01]: So dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, did garic make that outfit.
[SPEAKER_03]: I wonder.
[SPEAKER_03]: I want to ring maybe.
[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know, but you're in regulation.
[SPEAKER_03]: We're no tailored very well tailored.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, I think that was Bob Blackman.
[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_04]: Pretty sure that.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, well, you in a pharmacy doesn't do uniforms does he really.
[SPEAKER_00]: Not for the layman.
[SPEAKER_04]: I can imagine it right he does like Cisco's dress uniform.
[SPEAKER_04]: Our dress uniforms, but not our regulation.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you just replicate those.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, Kurn, you know, is almost feels like a little kid to me in this scene.
[SPEAKER_03]: He's like, don't worry about me, brother.
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not going to disgrace you, so it seems like Kurn is kind of embrace this solution.
[SPEAKER_03]: Like, I'm going to, I'm not going to try to practice this.
[SPEAKER_03]: You know, this tradition, I'm going to try a new life.
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to do my best, brother.
[SPEAKER_04]: But what is it that makes him take this giant turn?
[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, this is a giant turn.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, in the prior scene, he said, like, my whole life is you, whatever you decide it's going to be, right?
[SPEAKER_01]: He's in that work.
[SPEAKER_04]: That's true.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's true.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: But I do, I do, I did believe him to the point where I thought, oh, maybe he's going to become a recurring secure, but Jordan secure.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, that was so great.
[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, that would have been hard for you to be here every other week now.
[SPEAKER_03]: He says, uh, I'll do my best and Worf says I never doubted it, carry on.
[SPEAKER_03]: So it feels like maybe they've got a solution here.
[SPEAKER_03]: We cut up to, uh, to the defiant bridge out on their scanning mission.
[SPEAKER_03]: I just want to say, like, sometimes the defiant bridge to me looks really claustrophobic and small.
[SPEAKER_03]: This is not.
[SPEAKER_03]: looks massive.
[SPEAKER_03]: It looked as big as the Voyager TNG bridge.
[SPEAKER_03]: So David White ankle.
[SPEAKER_04]: Was that a lens?
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: It had to be the one.
[SPEAKER_04]: I liked it.
[SPEAKER_04]: I liked it.
[SPEAKER_04]: I like it feeling huge.
[SPEAKER_04]: Although, then not to me, it looked like [SPEAKER_04]: tiny, so I, I re-wilded just to make sure her feet were touching.
[SPEAKER_04]: And I thought, okay, if she didn't have a heel on that, her feet would have been dangling.
[SPEAKER_03]: When she was leaning in that chair, yes.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I noticed that.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like a little kid with the feet out.
[SPEAKER_04]: Seriously, I re-wounded.
[SPEAKER_04]: I raised her.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, she was kind of, she was also like leaning back and a relaxed part of a part.
[SPEAKER_03]: She was, yeah, it was a little bit.
[SPEAKER_04]: It didn't make her look bigger.
[SPEAKER_04]: It [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, as opposed to kind of leaning forward on the edge of the chair would have felt a little more like you was, yeah, taking up more space.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, interestingly.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, they do pick up some cloaked readings near the border, but they say the clings haven't crossed the line yet.
[SPEAKER_03]: When suddenly there's a boom, we see this big damage clinging on.
[SPEAKER_03]: Cruiser flying right towards them.
[SPEAKER_03]: Kira makes a call, offers help.
[SPEAKER_03]: They say, nope, we don't need the help.
[SPEAKER_03]: But then they change their mind, they say, yes.
[SPEAKER_04]: A nanosecond.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, [SPEAKER_01]: But the mystery is how big of a damage on this, this vortcha class clinging on cruiser.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's massive, it's huge.
[SPEAKER_01]: So that's another mystery that both Kira and O'Brien are doing.
[SPEAKER_01]: What is doing this?
[SPEAKER_01]: What are they doing this?
[SPEAKER_01]: We don't understand how.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, with no debris from whatever that source is that damage the clinging on, right?
[SPEAKER_03]: We cut into a corridor or a wolf's taking a walk with some other security random person, but he gets a call from Odo, Odo calls about his brother.
[SPEAKER_03]: We need you in the infirmary, your brother's seriously injured.
[SPEAKER_03]: Go inside the infirmary, and Odo tells Wolf his brother, let himself get shot, kind of into an argument with a boss lick, let himself get shot.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's very suspicious because this is a cling on warrior.
[SPEAKER_03]: He could defend himself against, and we saw the boss lick earlier, [SPEAKER_03]: boss like her kind of small.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, they're not warriors.
[SPEAKER_04]: No, he's like pork size.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, smaller.
[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: It seems like his brother has a death wish.
[SPEAKER_03]: And Odo says that Curn can no longer be a security officer.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_03]: Sorry.
[SPEAKER_03]: This job's not going to work.
[SPEAKER_03]: Worf goes over to his brother.
[SPEAKER_03]: Curn says, you know, Worf, you're my elder brother.
[SPEAKER_03]: You're my big brother.
[SPEAKER_03]: Tell me what to do.
[SPEAKER_03]: My life is in your hand.
[SPEAKER_03]: So he's just lost [SPEAKER_01]: Now it reminds me of the corn kid.
[SPEAKER_01]: The corn kid.
[SPEAKER_02]: Let me.
[SPEAKER_02]: I really like corn.
[SPEAKER_03]: I like corn too.
[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_04]: I do too.
[SPEAKER_04]: Butter, salt, and pepper.
[SPEAKER_04]: Oh my goodness.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, please.
[SPEAKER_03]: We go to the ward room next.
[SPEAKER_03]: They're trying to, they're having a big meeting trying to figure out what damage this cling on ship and they talk about some ideas ultimately they realize it's mine.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I'm not a non torpedoes.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, because torpedoes leave eye on trails.
[SPEAKER_03]: Great.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: And basically, Warf has an idea of how to find out where the minds are.
[SPEAKER_03]: So that's how we end this scene.
[SPEAKER_03]: Here's the thing about the minds.
[SPEAKER_03]: Mining a star system with cloaked minds is an act of war.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_03]: And this is an escalation in where they're at right now.
[SPEAKER_04]: Especially isn't this supposed to be free space for them to have their military whichever side exercises?
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: I think so.
[SPEAKER_03]: This is a natural kind of area.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_04]: So we'll carry a militarized zone.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_01]: Kira asks, how do we find these mines?
[SPEAKER_01]: Dax says, well, unless we know they're coordinates, there's no way to find them until you run into one.
[SPEAKER_01]: So that's when Warf has an idea.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's like, hmm, I have an idea.
[SPEAKER_01]: We'd go to Warf's [SPEAKER_01]: and basically Kern is trying to get you know push war for way because warfare is asking him to do undercover work against the clink on empire in essence to find out where's my uh this goes by and then which is uh this is something that's on or going to clink on.
[SPEAKER_01]: Don't do this.
[SPEAKER_01]: Kern of Corn does not want to turn turn coat basically.
[SPEAKER_01]: No.
[SPEAKER_01]: No.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's what he explains because he says, you know, gauron thinks the federation is soft and weak.
[SPEAKER_03]: And worse says, well, if that's true, then allowing these minds to exist is just going to lead to war.
[SPEAKER_03]: Like, like, this is if we let this these minds stay here, [SPEAKER_03]: Eventually, something's going to happen to a star to a Federation vessel, then there's going to be a war, and the clingsons will be destroyed, like the Federation.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, it's so much bigger than the clingsons.
[SPEAKER_04]: And he also mentions warf mentions that their actions are dishonorable because secretly mining star systems is not an act of warriors.
[SPEAKER_04]: They behave like rommiling cowards.
[SPEAKER_03]: What an insult.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm wrong.
[SPEAKER_01]: But the important part is that both brothers agree that if they were to get into a war with the Federation, the Klingon Empire would cease to exist.
[SPEAKER_01]: They would they would lose.
[SPEAKER_01]: So they agree.
[SPEAKER_03]: So this is actually where it says, this is actually an honourable thing to save your people by going and dealing with these minds.
[SPEAKER_03]: So he makes a good argument.
[SPEAKER_03]: We cut to the infirmary, and basically, Bashir's giving them plastic surgery to kind of disguise them as wounded clingsons from this damage ship.
[SPEAKER_01]: But she's like, they're very ugly.
[SPEAKER_01]: Uglyer, that is a joke.
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's just very funny.
[SPEAKER_01]: I got it.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_04]: I'm not wrong at all.
[SPEAKER_04]: But in the scene before, can I just say this is also what is this called?
[SPEAKER_04]: This episode, The Suns of Most?
[SPEAKER_04]: The Suns of Most.
[SPEAKER_04]: And it's the only time worth has the sentence in the scene before with Kern.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah.
[SPEAKER_04]: Let it be, The Suns of Most, side by side, saving our people.
[SPEAKER_04]: Do this with me.
[SPEAKER_04]: And it kind of makes you feel like this could be it.
[SPEAKER_04]: Adventure.
[SPEAKER_04]: To with them.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_03]: Save the Klingons.
[SPEAKER_03]: They'll be here.
[SPEAKER_04]: Warriors.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_01]: you could be.
[SPEAKER_04]: Actually, that would have been good.
[SPEAKER_01]: What have been smart?
[SPEAKER_03]: We go to the infirmary.
[SPEAKER_03]: They're being disguised with the plastic surgery, but she just says even uglier than usual.
[SPEAKER_03]: And the plan is they're going to impersonate Andrew Krueff in the Klingonship.
[SPEAKER_03]: And Kurn is very happy sitting off to the side as he's in battle gear.
[SPEAKER_03]: He's in battle, out of that [SPEAKER_03]: And Bashir says, come take a seat, you're next, Kernel of Corn, Kernel of Corn, so now we cut to the cling-on vessel, a war from Kernel B men, they make their way through and their modified DNA allows them to get through the security protocols.
[SPEAKER_03]: Inside the computer room, they go inside the database.
[SPEAKER_01]: And as Worf starts finding this one file, he's like, oh, here it is.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then current's like, no, no, no, no, no, no.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's a decoy file.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's a new, it's, yeah, this is brand new, clingon directive from Galeron.
[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to throw all these decoy files in there.
[SPEAKER_01]: So that spies will steal the wrong thing this information.
[SPEAKER_01]: But a couple of current security codes still work.
[SPEAKER_01]: And he's able to find, [SPEAKER_01]: the information that they need, which is the location of every single mine that is cloaked, which is exactly what they need.
[SPEAKER_01]: But unfortunately, that's when a cling-on officer comes into the room and starts questioning them.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think Warf tries to play tough cop and it's like a dare you, you know, you should be cleaning my quarters, yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: We're running a diagnosis, get out of here.
[SPEAKER_01]: out of here, you younger, you young and, you know, whatever.
[SPEAKER_01]: So he's very, very tough on him.
[SPEAKER_01]: And that's when it looks like the clean on officer sort of backs away.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's like, well, my apologies, blah, blah, blah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe I can help you.
[SPEAKER_01]: And all right, when he starts to walk a little bit towards Warf is when Kernel of Corn shoots him with a disruptor pistol.
[SPEAKER_01]: And it takes him out.
[SPEAKER_01]: And of course, Warf is like, well, you didn't have to do that blah, blah, blah.
[SPEAKER_01]: And that's when Kernel of Corn says, [SPEAKER_01]: here's the knife in it.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's right there.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, he was about to say your life brother.
[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, Worf is in shock too.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he told the shock.
[SPEAKER_01]: He can't believe he didn't see that.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_04]: Which is also kind of weird because I mean, of course, he's shocked.
[SPEAKER_04]: That's his normal.
[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
[SPEAKER_04]: He would have been on top of it.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, well, he is the tactical officer on TNG, right?
[SPEAKER_01]: So he's supposed to be able to see everything and know it all.
[SPEAKER_01]: So he's disappointed in himself that he didn't even think of it as well.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's disappointed and he's big brother and yeah, the little brother saved his blood.
[SPEAKER_01]: So it's shameful.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and the little brother says, well, now my dishonor is complete.
[SPEAKER_03]: He's like killed by killing the warrior.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, we all the oldest sibling.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, we are interest.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_04]: Well, that can explain some of it us all talking at the same time.
[SPEAKER_04]: It all makes sense now, but I'm really the oldest.
[SPEAKER_01]: But back to the episode, that line, when he says, you know, he was a warrior doing his duty defending the empire and I killed him.
[SPEAKER_01]: I killed him.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_01]: My dishonor is complete.
[SPEAKER_01]: I felt so sad at that point for him.
[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, this is like the worst day, it's literally this episode is the worst day of current's life and it keeps getting worse.
[SPEAKER_01]: It just goes, it can't get a break.
[SPEAKER_04]: time of his life and he's getting reinforced that he no longer has the honor to be here.
[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
[SPEAKER_04]: But what the crazy turn is, you're so gratefully saves worse life.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_04]: This year, not thinking of the counter side to that at all, until he says that.
[SPEAKER_04]: And that's where it's like, [SPEAKER_04]: Snap, I forgot about what he's back to.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, yes, just someone throw a bone to kernel of corn.
[SPEAKER_01]: Let's turn off corn, have a break just once.
[SPEAKER_01]: What does it go his way?
[SPEAKER_04]: One thing, and he is so much content for worth destroying their lives over choosing the Federation.
[SPEAKER_04]: That's just, sorry.
[SPEAKER_04]: I'm sorry.
[SPEAKER_04]: I'm kind of standing out.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's okay.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he's torn to this.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's torn to bits inside.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, we go to the water room next.
[SPEAKER_03]: They've got all this mining data that Warfn is brother God.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: Basically, it's a complete ring around the the Bajoran system.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, they did they mind everything around everything.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, that's just rude.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: And dirty dirty.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, underhanded.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_03]: But they're very happy.
[SPEAKER_03]: They got all these mind coordinates and they're going to destroy them and Warf is ashamed of this scene because he says He's lost all his clinging on instincts.
[SPEAKER_04]: I say something to him.
[SPEAKER_04]: You can't tell whether somebody's going to kill you by looking at them And he says a clinging on can Yeah, clinging on should be able to and instinct I no longer have current was right.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh [SPEAKER_01]: He's been with the humans too long.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's the problem.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and he realizes in the scene, he can't ever go back to the clinging on him.
[SPEAKER_03]: No, he thought maybe one day he could go back.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, house of mag.
[SPEAKER_04]: But yeah, that's what I was saying about in the beginning.
[SPEAKER_04]: So go back to not considering the absolute consequence of his decision of sticking with us and evasion.
[SPEAKER_01]: Your right, Terry, and every single scene that happens from the beginning is him realizing, [SPEAKER_04]: Exactly.
[SPEAKER_04]: I didn't think it all the way through.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he says he only sees Colonel of Corn's request as murder now.
[SPEAKER_03]: He's just like humans.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's when Dax has an idea.
[SPEAKER_03]: Ah.
[SPEAKER_03]: Is there a way?
[SPEAKER_03]: I just...
You could kill your brother without killing him.
[SPEAKER_04]: And now I feel super guilty.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, you shouldn't.
[SPEAKER_01]: It was the writers that made you say it so exactly.
[SPEAKER_04]: Dad, maybe do it.
[SPEAKER_03]: Daddy, this next scene is when we're back in the defiant bridge.
[SPEAKER_03]: This is when you're sitting back.
[SPEAKER_04]: This is the scene.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, this is the scene.
[SPEAKER_04]: It's very, very nice.
[SPEAKER_03]: We're leaning back very relaxed in the captain's chair.
[SPEAKER_03]: Legs are kind of stuck.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it was laying off.
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
[SPEAKER_03]: It was funny to me.
[SPEAKER_04]: It was funny, but it was, I don't know.
[SPEAKER_04]: It just made her look smaller and made me rewind to go, are her feet dangles?
[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_04]: And it makes me want her to be leaning forward.
[SPEAKER_04]: Even if it's kind of relaxed, but I just want her, she would think her was strange.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, I know they're relaxed because of what's going on, but still, that they know what's going on, but they're still out there.
[SPEAKER_04]: The clingsons are still out there.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_04]: And so I don't know.
[SPEAKER_04]: I would have chose to have her have more of a Captain Kirk pose, which I'm sure we've seen all of them do from your Kate.
[SPEAKER_04]: And it's just a more powerful because they're a little women.
[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, they're both so slender.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, she warns the [SPEAKER_03]: And she's warning them because she knows they're cloaked at there somewhere, all these playing ons are somewhere out there and so are the minds.
[SPEAKER_03]: We're going to start blowing up these minds.
[SPEAKER_03]: They blow up one, nothing, no response.
[SPEAKER_03]: Then they blow up a bunch.
[SPEAKER_03]: That was a cool shot.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, wasn't it?
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: And lots of ships de-cloke and start taking it off.
[SPEAKER_02]: They're like, later, yeah.
[SPEAKER_04]: Bye-bye.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_04]: Did they just de-cloke so we could see them because [SPEAKER_04]: or they can't go to warp.
[SPEAKER_04]: They can't go to warp, right?
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I think so.
[SPEAKER_04]: We're not cloked, yeah.
[SPEAKER_04]: OK.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, that was a success here, says, all right?
[SPEAKER_03]: Let's keep going.
[SPEAKER_03]: See how many other birds we can flush out.
[SPEAKER_03]: So it seems like this story is going to kind of wrapping up their fins.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: Go to Warf's Quarter's next Kern has a bottle and a gun puts the gun to his head, Warf walks in and reminds him if you take your own life it's not going to get you across the river of blood to stove a core and Colonel of Corn is drunk.
[SPEAKER_03]: And he starts talking on a kind of a personal level about I wish we'd grown up together, you know, I feel like I don't even know you.
[SPEAKER_03]: But what I know of you, he basically says, I can tell, or if you're an honorable man, and he passes out, current's out.
[SPEAKER_03]: And this moves worth, and Wurf says, you know what, I will, you will be honorable again too, but not as my brother.
[SPEAKER_01]: Don't, don't, don't.
[SPEAKER_03]: What?
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: We do learn what Dax's idea that she told Wurf [SPEAKER_03]: Um, we learned what that idea was in the infirmary because Bashir explains to, uh, warf that, uh, that he's going to change his memory.
[SPEAKER_03]: He's going to wipe out his memory.
[SPEAKER_03]: and changes features and basically he's like going into witness protection almost for something, you know, like, high end witness protection.
[SPEAKER_03]: He's going to give him this plastic surgery, give him a new wife is memory basically and then Worf says he knows this man named Nogra who will provide him with a new identity and all the answers he needs.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, he'll become his son.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's taking him on.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, right.
[SPEAKER_01]: So sweet.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's sweet, but this is this is literally the one thing that a lot of fans had to initiate with which is you're going to erase his memories without his consent.
[SPEAKER_01]: You should have said something to Colonel of Corn.
[SPEAKER_01]: You should have said, hey, this is what we're going to do.
[SPEAKER_01]: You're going to have all new, you know, we're going to race all your memories as corn.
[SPEAKER_01]: You're going to come back as whatever.
[SPEAKER_01]: They should have given him that offer to begin with.
[SPEAKER_01]: So a lot of fans were very upset about this when they were just upset.
[SPEAKER_04]: is my life mine.
[SPEAKER_04]: That's what I was thinking about in writing my poems.
[SPEAKER_04]: It's not his and there rules around it and doesn't matter, physical or mental, there's dogma you have to stick to and it's not gentle.
[SPEAKER_01]: No.
[SPEAKER_04]: This feels morally wrong.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: It really does.
[SPEAKER_01]: A little bit, one more bit of trivia.
[SPEAKER_01]: Tony Todd was dissatisfied with the episode and commented, I accepted to do the part before I got the script.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then I saw what they were doing.
[SPEAKER_01]: I felt it was really a disservice to people that were really into Kurn and into the Klingon legacy.
[SPEAKER_04]: So, he was not happy with the, you know, oh, and how heartbreaking to get the script in read this.
[SPEAKER_01]: And realize what?
[SPEAKER_01]: I have no control over this.
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_04]: And I just died in one way.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_04]: So clearly, I'm not coming back to deep space nine.
[SPEAKER_04]: If I am a third from a small planet.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, Bashir does say, once this is done, it cannot be reversed.
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I'm not going to remember you.
[SPEAKER_04]: You're not going to remember that.
[SPEAKER_04]: Hey, no.
[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, exactly.
[SPEAKER_04]: Come on.
[SPEAKER_04]: I can figure it out.
[SPEAKER_04]: I'm gas.
[SPEAKER_03]: Worf says it's the only way that you may begin poor kernel of corn gosh a little later we see another cling on a ride this is no gra.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah Worf's buddy um and he tells Colonel of corn that you're my son [SPEAKER_03]: And he tells Kern that you're going to be told everything, I'll fill you in on everything and he passes worth and then Kern stops for a moment and he says, are we family?
[SPEAKER_03]: And worth says, no, I have no family.
[SPEAKER_03]: So sad.
[SPEAKER_03]: Art breaking.
[SPEAKER_04]: Is it worth if he would have died?
[SPEAKER_04]: No.
[SPEAKER_03]: Sad for both, yeah, for both them.
[SPEAKER_03]: Sad ending for sure he said, but a beautiful shot by David Livingston, the crane shot out on the prom and odd.
[SPEAKER_03]: I took the angle of like this story of honor and dishonor that Kurn was telling himself was making him want to not be alive anymore.
[SPEAKER_03]: And so to me, the lesson is the stories that we tell ourselves have great power, so choose wisely.
[SPEAKER_03]: Like, oh, we're going to tell ourselves these stories of this negativity, the self-talk that's just going to be to stand.
[SPEAKER_03]: They do have great power, change your story.
[SPEAKER_03]: And in a way, that's what Wurfdity changed his story.
[SPEAKER_03]: He's now going to be Son of Nogra, and he's going to change his story.
[SPEAKER_03]: That was, there's a lot of lessons and a lot of angles you could take in this episode.
[SPEAKER_03]: That was mine.
[SPEAKER_01]: Perry, what is your lesson from this episode?
[SPEAKER_04]: In making a decision that changes your life, carefully consider the consequences.
[SPEAKER_04]: Um, because I was holding on to that from the beginning and sort of have warf as my, this is his show, right?
[SPEAKER_04]: Even though it's also current show, but he, warf is our guy.
[SPEAKER_04]: So I'm seeing his results of his consequences, destroying his brother's life and creating, [SPEAKER_04]: all of this has he would never be in the situation with his brother had he not sided with it's just a lot to weigh so as best you can carefully consider your consequences smart doesn't mean you won't have you're going to have some no matter which way you go but it's think about what you want to live with [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's funny that you say, like, warps our guy because you're right.
[SPEAKER_03]: You know, our point of view should be through warps experience.
[SPEAKER_03]: But I was torn a bit in this.
[SPEAKER_03]: Mmm.
[SPEAKER_03]: Like, I kept feeling like I was in Colonel of Korn's point of view quite often.
[SPEAKER_02]: Mmm.
[SPEAKER_03]: And it was a little split POV for me in terms of the story of this.
[SPEAKER_03]: I love Ron Moore.
[SPEAKER_03]: I think he's super talented and one of the best writers I've known in my career.
[SPEAKER_03]: However, I don't think this is the best script.
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't.
[SPEAKER_03]: For me, this one was an even, I feel that way even more in us talking about it because the gravitas of this topic, I don't know that it was unpacked as fully as it could have been.
[SPEAKER_03]: And I think the point of view was a little confusing sometimes.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's why I surprised it was David Livingston.
[SPEAKER_03]: Like I think all around, it wasn't David's best work.
[SPEAKER_03]: It was a little middle of the road.
[SPEAKER_03]: most of this episode.
[SPEAKER_03]: Just based on your theme like the gravitas of this topic is profound.
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not sure that it was dealt with as fully as it should have been.
[SPEAKER_04]: Well, this isn't the original script.
[SPEAKER_04]: Eric just said this is not on more as original script.
[SPEAKER_04]: It got tweaked with.
[SPEAKER_04]: So in defense of Ron.
[SPEAKER_04]: I'm sure there are things like all of us do for the company and it's our job contractually to keep our jobs to do it.
[SPEAKER_04]: So there are times when our work might suffer because it's part of a bigger.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_04]: Creative team machine.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's if I'm going to have a lesson, it would be Protect the family at all costs because that's pretty much what Warf is doing.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's decided that his younger brother Is going to be protected and not Killed by having a completely new identity where he doesn't remember anything of his past life, which is so controversial But you know, I guess that's my my lesson for this episode If there is one yeah Family for what family first.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, protect the family [SPEAKER_04]: The Patreon poll winner submitted by Alex Ray, you can't save someone who doesn't want to be saved.
[SPEAKER_01]: Hmm.
[SPEAKER_01]: There's another lesson.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yep.
[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you everyone for tuning in to this this difficult episode that we've recapt and discussed.
[SPEAKER_01]: And also next time when we do recap our association.
[SPEAKER_01]: not only Armin, but Chase Masterson will be there.
