Oh, SNAP! Bet on it, Diabla!

Episode Transcript

Speaker 1

No, I'll say the last example I'll share is probably the most insidious, was providing intelligence to the Mexican law enforcement that led to the arrest of a CJNNG cartel affiliated baby trafficker called La Diablo.

Her whole money making operation was centered around luring pregnant women, performing illegal c sections, harvesting organs, and selling newborn babies.

Speaker 2

Hi, this is a on Calter.

Welcome to my Ricochet podcast linked on my subjec.

I hope you will spend all of your sports gambling winnings on subscribing to my subject.

Here are the five big stories for you this week.

I just saw this on Twitter.

Tulsey Gabbern just announced that the newly created National Intelligence Fusion Cell at the DNI that's the Office of Director of National Intelligence was able to help Mexico law enforcement catch a baby trafficker named La Diabla.

Notice the blah di block, not diya blow.

A woman in other words, who was kidnapping pregnant women, cutting them open, harvesting organs, and selling newborn babies.

They are totally going to assimilate to this country.

Quote.

Her whole money making operation was centered around luring pregnant women, performing illegal c sections, harvesting organs, and selling newborn babies.

These are the people that the Biden administration was allowing into our country.

Unbelievable.

These people are sick.

That last part was added in the Twitter quote.

First part was from Tulsey.

But this makes me wonder who's painting our George Floyd murals in Afghanistan.

Oh no, I'm sorry.

I guess that was our military hard at work.

So what was the ODNI doing under Biden?

Just look that up?

Strengthening partnerships, for example, the unprecedented public release of intelligence regarding Russia's troop movements before their invasion of up because that totally affects every American's life, as opposed to this psychopath in Mexico cutting women of it.

Emphasis on allies.

Oh, there was a National security memo on artificial intelligence.

Pause on that for a moment.

This hysteria over AI is really getting out of hand.

Nope, Yes, the first time you see it you might be fooled.

You probably aren't because they're so preposterous.

But remember when we first had email and you had to explain to your parents that that email wasn't actually from their niece, that one that was read like like a Tourette's victim.

Soon you recognize it first time you saw a photoshop.

Oh my gosh, is that Roslin Carter standing with Jim Jones.

No, no correction, Roslin Carter was actually photographed standing with Jim Jones, the cult leader.

He was a big, big, big Democrat favorite, endorsed by all the top Democrats in California, including I believe at the time Governor Brown.

The other thing the the the Office of National Intelligence was doing under Biden was addressing election threats, which is weird because the main threat has always come from Democrats, and of course prioritizing diversity, equity, and inclusion because that's totally what we're paying our government to do, not to arrest psychos disemboweling people on our boarder.

So thank you, Tulsi.

Speaking of AI, there's a lot of hullabaloo on Croomo's excellent Zorhand ad Andrew Cuomo running against Zorhan Mom Donnie in the New York mayoral race.

You may have heard about this.

The ad is really fantastic.

I would I would link to it, but it's mostly visual, so well, I'll link to it so you can look it up.

Uh.

The thing about this is it's mostly it's all these criminals saying, how this is, this is suppose to be, you know, the future life under Zorhan?

And who is endorsing Zorhan?

And they're all criminals and they're mugging little old ladies and they're being found guilty and the judge is saying, yes, you're guilty, but under Zorhan, I'm ordered to let you go.

And so criminals are running wild, and then at the end they all endorse Zorhan.

That's a summary of it.

What's great about it is it really looks like it's like it's Zorhon speaking.

It's done very well, very good.

AI.

Now the problem with this, it seems to me, is everyone seems to forget Cloma is the man most responsible for cashless bail in the state of New York.

When he was up for reelection in twenty eighteen, Democrats were finally going to be in control of the governor's office and both branches of the legislature, which oddly had almost never been true for the previous one hundred years.

I think it was true for about one year, Seriously, one year because Republicans either had the governors show was Pataki, or for a long time they held onto the Senate.

We were we Republicans were about to lose all of them and Democrats could run wild.

And during Cuomo's campaign in twenty eighteen, he promised that the first law he would sign would be the no cash bail law.

Speaker 3

In America.

You are still innocent until proven guilty.

And that's whether you're black or white, that's whether you're rich or poor.

We're gonna end the cash bail system once and for all.

We're going to do it in New York, and we're gonna do it this year.

Speaker 2

So just another reminder that whenever politicians need our vote, suddenly they're tough on crime.

Suddenly they're tough on the border.

Well maybe not Democrats.

There are really no good choices for the poor New Yorkers.

It's very sad.

They had the big debate this week.

Culomo bragged about his leadership on COVID.

Big point of the debate I did watch it was Calmo denouncing mom Domi, saying he had no experience, no job.

We can't put this man in charge of lives of eight million people.

Great line, but when describing his own leadership.

I think I would have steered clear of what he did on COVID.

I think a lot of people have blocked this out of their memories.

He could have just gone with that.

But in case you forgot what he did on on COVID, well, what he did caused half a million New Yorkers to flee the state, making twenty twenty to twenty twenty one New York's largest single year population loss in history.

Thank you, Governor Cuoma.

The first thing he did when COVID hit was to demand emergency powers from the legislature, giving him exclusive power to institute mass quarantines, order businesses to close, suspend laws, and his other sweeping directives.

I know we hear a lot about this about Trump, but it seems to me that that sounds a little authoritarian to me.

Reminds me of a time long ago in Germany.

The result was his COVID diktats did absolutely nothing to slow the spread of COVID, but they did destroy businesses, annihilate cultural institutions, kill budding careers, stunt children's educational development, delay urgent medical care, among many many other things.

He's simply destroyed lives for absolutely no reason, no health benefit whatsoever.

He Governor Cuomo, turns out, was the one responsible for closing public schools in New York City, which weirdly enough, was opposed by the teachers unions and Mayor Bill Deblasio.

Cuomo is, according to his chief assistance Autobiography, was growing impatient with Mayor Deblasio for dragging his feet on closing the public schools, so he called into a local TV station and per emptorally announced that the city schools were closed.

This was, as you may know, the single worst decision made during COVID, as even the New York Times has admitted at this point keeping little kids out of school when they were at zero zero risk from COVID.

Schools were open all over Europe.

The teachers and the students did better, but keeping a little kid met kid's mask and preventing them from going to school caused irreparable harm to their cognitive and psychological development.

So thank you second step he did.

Next, he closed all the public colleges in the state of New York and browbeat private universities into doing the same.

In the first year of the pandemic, throughout the entire country, there were about six hundred deaths among fifteen to t twenty four year olds in the entire country, and we don't know what other health problems they had.

You know, half of them were in a car accident but also had COVID, so that gets marked down as a COVID desk.

Six hundred deaths of college age kids in the entire country, and yet college careers, sports careers, lives completely destroyed, disrupted.

Thank you, Governor Cuomo.

That was part of your leadership.

He also bullying President Trump, remember, into sending the military to convert the Javit Center and the USS comfort to turn into emergency hospitals, which were completely unneeded kazillion dollars.

Later, it turned out that these temporary hospitals had at the time they were closed, the Javit Center had a grand total of seventy two patients.

So that was a great idea.

Oh and the most absurd thing he did was brownbeat hospitals and Upstate New York to send all their ventilators to New York City.

Ventilators are an important medical equipment when you need them, as we now know, admittedly in retrospect, ventilators were what was killing the COVID patients.

There was something about COVID that the oxygen reading looked like it was much lower than it really was.

And these COVID patients did not need ventilators, but the ventilators were killing them.

Okay, maybe we didn't know that at the time, but maybe don't brag about your leadership on COVID.

Even the private hospitals, he being a bully, threatened them if they did not send their ventilators.

He would personally pull their operating licenses to get them to all send their ventilators down to New York City.

So people in upstate who actually needed ventilators couldn't get them because Cuomo sent them to New York City where they were killing people.

Speaker 4

Hey hate to interrupt you for a second, but I have to James Lanlex reminding you that it is October.

But of course you knew that.

You look at the way do everything's brown.

You walk around the neighborhood, you got the spooky decorations and the rest well, you know, it's really spooky.

As they say in the bad cliched ads, that's right facing this month without Ricochet.

Speaker 5

Individuals such as Chauncey Billups, Damon Jones, and Terry Rozier were taking into custody today former current NBA players and coaches.

Speaker 2

What you don't know is that this is an.

Speaker 5

Illegal gambling operation and sports rigging operation that.

Speaker 4

Span the course of years.

Speaker 5

The FBI led a coordinative takedown across eleven states to arrest over thirty individuals today responsible for this case, which is very much ongoing.

Speaker 2

Here's my third story for you is the mom gambling bust.

I have a few things to say about this and dovetails into my column this week.

We never had crime, organized crime until the Ellis Island immigrants.

Now today we're bringing in cannibals and child rapists, but even the good non traditional Americans who came in through Ellis Island brought us new customs that we still haven't been able to entirely extirpate from our country.

Specifically, Italians brought us organized crime.

Also allegiance to a foreign pope.

But for this, for our purposes here, it's the organized crime aspect of it.

And Italians are among our best immigrants, largely because about thirty to fifty percent of them went home because they couldn't make it.

We weren't.

We didn't immediately dump immigrants in the warm baths of welfare benefits so that they can stay and leave off of us.

Forever, it was sink or swim in America, and that's why we never really needed an immigration policy.

If you can't make it, you'll starve to death.

They went home, so we ended up with the best, with the best Italians.

But isn't that odd that even one hundred years later, we still have the last remnants of organized crime, and that is after some of our best Italians like Giuliani went after the mob and pretty much shut it down in New York.

The second point on this is on the gambling bus you will always hear white collar crime isn't punished harshly because it's committed mostly by white people.

Oh, the white people committing or white collar crime, they're just skating.

They're staying in country clubs.

Google AI will lie to you about this.

Ask Google AI, and it will say quote.

In contrast to street crime, white collar crime is not committed disproportionately by black people.

Instead, studies suggest that white men commit the majority of white collar crimes.

Sociologists and criminologists, when you can totally trust them, attribute this pattern to differences and opportunity and socioeconomic status rather than race itself.

Nope, sorry, Google, Black people also commit a dis proportionate percentage of white collar crime, much like the rumor about serial killers being mostly white men.

Yes, you will hear that on TV shows like Law and Order all the time because nobody bothers to ever look it up.

In fact, a disproportionate number of serial killers are black, just not as disproportionate as street crime.

Yes, congratulations, nobody bothers to look up the facts.

But here from the FBI famous table forty three of all the white collar crimes forgery, fraud, embezzement, and gambling, each one of them white, which is defined very loosely by the FBI to include Hispanics commit about sixty percent, Blacks thirty percent.

That is far beyond their percentage in the population.

So yes, the good news is those proportions are way better than the murder statistics where an absolute majority of murders are committed by black people America.

By now I think it's up to almost sixty percent.

But since this is a white collar crime, just that I'd mentioned it, that is a law you will you will hear frequently.

My third and final point on the gambling bust is that I keep reading these stories.

I must be reading it wrong.

They say, they say this, this is a huge gambling conspiracy involved for mafia families, for basketball teams.

It's been going on for years.

And the total take they keep listing is seven million dollars.

But that's kind of paltry.

Even a very parsimonious estimate of the number of people involved adds up to about twenty thousand dollars of person per year, maybe ten thousand if they were lucky, they'd get they get five thousand.

It's got to be more than seven million dollars.

Yeah, this is I think is from the New York Times here, No, maybe this is the New York Times.

Are a New York post a bombshell illegal sports betting scheme involving four NBA teams and four mafia crime families netted upwards of seven million dollars over two years, the FBI announced Thursday, So I think stay tuned.

It's gotta be more than that.

It's not really worth the trouble otherwise.

My fourth story for you.

New York Times had an article this week on why drug smuggling is so hard to stop headline the submarines that smuggle cocaine across oceans and seas.

A display of confiscated vessels at a naval base in Ecuador offers a peak at why drug smuggling is so hard to stop.

It's not the submarines, it's that no one has been trying to stop them.

Drugs are only wrecking Americans live, so who cares about them?

We need to send more troops over to the Middle East, to Central Europe, to the Balkans.

That's where we really want to focus our taxpayer dollars on intelligence and the military.

We also couldn't, you'll recall, stop the the mass importation of the Third World from all of Latin America and other parts South.

It was impossible.

By needed that new law, remember the law.

He really really needed the law.

He can't do anything.

They're just going to keep millions pouring poring across the border until he gets this law.

And then Trump came in, didn't need the new law, and suddenly the border has been shut down.

Still have several probably about twenty million deportations to go, but at least they're not coming in anymore.

And it wasn't the law.

It wasn't.

It isn't the submarines on my fifth story, and you're getting a bonus one today line.

Amazon plans to replace more than half a million jobs with robots.

Internal documents show that the company that changed how people's shop has a far reaching plan to automate seventy five percent of its operations.

So it's fantastic that we have been bringing in all these low wage workers.

This is going to work out just incredibly well for the country, as almost all low wage jobs, medium wage jobs are going to be done by robots.

But on the plus side, would you like to know a little more about this?

Okay, Over the past two decades, no company has done more to shape this From the New York Simmes article, no company has done more to shape the American workplace than Amazon.

In its ascent to become the nation's second largest employer, well second largest, it has hired hundreds of thousands of warehouse workers, built an army of contract drivers, and pioneered using technology to hire, monitor, and mail manage employees.

Now, interviews and a cash of internal strategy documents reviewed by The New York Times reveal that Amazon executives believe the company is on the cusp of its next big workplace shift, replacing more than half a million jobs with robots.

Amazon's US workforce has more than triple since twenty eighteen to almost one point two million, but Amazon's automation team expects the company can avoid hiring more than one hundred and sixty thousand people in the United States it would otherwise have needed by twenty twenty seven.

That would save about thirty cents on each item that Amazon picks, packs and delivers to customers.

This is totally great, other than the fact that we've been calling in half the Third World for the past fifty years.

Got to do something about that.

But computers replacing cheap labor is going to do more to end the threat from China than funding the war in Ukraine.

It will recall that all of the proponents for all of America to spend its time absolutely laser focused on a country far far away from us that really has no effect on our lives.

No, we had to do it because if we don't send billions and billions of dollars in armaments to Ukraine, then China will get the idea that we're a paper tiger.

It's kind of a bank shot.

No, instead of starting wars all over the world to deplete our resources, our men are military, because that's supposed to scare China.

How about replacing their slave labor with computers.

That's all they have.

It's like the Saudi Arabia, all these countries in the Middle East.

It's not like they're inventing stuff.

They're sitting on oil and China is sitting on slave labor.

Yeah, this will do more to defeat the alleged threat from China than all the wars neo columns can start.

Okay, bonus points.

Here's your sixth point on the government shutdown.

Apparently snap benefits are about to end.

Snap benefits are are food stamps.

They keep changing the name to make them seem as soon as we know what they are, they annoy people.

So you have to change the name and confuse us as to what it is.

It's like abortion.

They just keep changing the name so hoping we won't remember.

We're down now down to you know, choice women's healthcare are.

It's the same thing with ethnic groups, Incidnatalie, at least according to linguists.

They say that the when a new ethnic group arrives, there are slur slur names for the ethnic group, but the slurer becomes an acceptable and affectionate term as soon as the group has assimilated.

For example, or the Irish mix potato heads.

Okay, those are sweet, affectionate, joking names out Germans were called krouts and hungs.

No one reels back in horror.

I don't think even Google Google would describe those as as obscenities.

Were not supposed to use, you know, something like illegal alien.

Anyway, It's been true forever.

Give we hear about, oh the one sympathetic case, the person who needs food stamps, and then instantly it just becomes a magnet for fraudsters and thieves taking from us, and then you wonder why the deficit is so high.

But today, what caught my attention about the snap benefits about to end is that a lot of people are posting videos on social media of themselves screaming bloody murder that their snap benefits are about to end, and how dare you do this to us?

You owe me this.

Some are even threatening to rob stores without their free food stamps from the govern Donald.

Speaker 6

Mother Ornchman Jay Trump.

I'm gonna take you just like this.

What the fuck you mean?

Who ain't getting they goddamn food stamps to goddamn November because I'm getting my goddamn shit.

I don't know about the rest of you, mother, but I'm getting my shit because I'm gonna tell you just like this.

On Jesus Lamar, Mother christ, I will be getting mother Walmart with my steel toes on and my mother help me and I care of bitch trying to stop me from walking out that mother thro with my groceries.

Baby, I'm two hundred and fifty pounds solid.

Speaker 4

Baby.

Speaker 6

You want to see a human mother four dos a baby, because that's what the I'm gonna turn into if you think you're gonna stop me from leaving out they goddamn so with my monthlet grocerss Did I get ever her that damn month?

I ain't bothering no goddamn body.

Speaker 2

Okay, So my feeling is if they have the energy to get up, go out, find a store to rob, and then proceed to rob it.

They sure have enough energy to get themselves a job.

They seem pretty energetic in those videos wailing about their Snap benefits being cut off.

So let's just keep this government shut down going forever.

Thank you and talk to you next week, Ricochet.
