S6 256. David Heavener - The Last Evangelist, Christian Red Carpet
Episode Transcript
That's tough.
We're in a very tough spot.
I think that what we're doing right now is a great benefit and virtue because it's an end around between this whole corrupt informational system, media system.
We claim to believe in a God who spoke the universe into existence and literally raised himself from the dead, and yet we are not going to believe that anything else.
Exists in the Spirit.
Realm, even though His word tells us that they do.
Their bodies weren't permitted to go to sleep like humans do, and they weren't permitted to go to heaven, so they wander the earth.
You know I've.
Seen the eyes turn.
Black to unknown tongues being spoken.
These giants would look way up in the highland, the old graves.
The young men would hide up in the trees and wait for.
One of these 12 footers to come walking down the path and.
They would jump on them and kill them, drag them back to the village, and the village would feast on the body.
Then people start to get weapons, they start to get armor, they start to build cities.
They start to fortify their cities.
Now God looks.
Down and there's violence everywhere.
The battle this war.
That we are at.
Is not against.
Each other.
It's against these principalities and these rulers and these archons.
In the high places, it's really worthwhile to read the Bible yourself.
Fear is one of the primary drivers of mind control because we have to take every thought captive and resist fear.
You're going to have a testimony.
That is a justice.
Case against the Kingdom of Darkness.
I have a special guest and we're going to get right into the reason I wanted to do this shorter speak piece conversation, if you will.
David Hefner, welcome to the MMS.
Hey, Rod, good to be with you, brother.
Hey, what does millennial mustard seed mean?
I just have to ask you that.
That's a loaded question.
We're going to have to save that for a little bit later.
The audience already kind of knows what's going on there.
There's a story behind it and I want to give it a due respect.
David, you've been in the business a long time right now what we talked about off air.
And I said, listen, let me get together with you and we'll do, you know, a quick episode letting people know what's happening because there's something pretty exciting happening November 14th and 15th of 2025.
It this is in person and online.
You're having a world premiere of the last Evangelist episode 3.
Now this is your TV show you've been starring in obviously for quite some time.
Let's get my audience up to speed with with who you are.
I'm sure a majority of them are going to know who you are right off the bat, but I guarantee there's a junk who don't know who you are.
You've spent about 30 plus years in the game.
When I say that, I mean, and it within the the realms of Hollywood doing different movies, you know, spreading scripts, working, collaborating.
The thing that I know and like about you the most is you're a Christian.
You're unashamed about that and you have a broadcast, right.
And I think the last time, David, you invited Klaus Chavis, Michael Basham, Aaron and myself on, we kind of did a, a unique broadcast with you a few months back.
And that was a really great opportunity.
But just open up real quick.
Tell us a little bit about what you're doing and who you are.
I'll ask a couple questions and we'll get this information out there.
Yeah.
Well, thank you, Rod.
Yeah.
I started out as a songwriter in Nashville, and I was fortunate enough to have a couple of top 10 records, but I wanted to go to LA to pitch my music, but I went there.
They didn't really care for my music, but but they thought I was an actor, so they asked me to audition.
I told him I can't act and but I did this impersonation of Clint Eastwood and and I got the lead role in the movie.
You know, I know what you're thinking, punk.
Go ahead and make my day.
And you know, it was a martial arts movie, Rod.
I couldn't even dance.
But I learned.
And through God's grace and God's plan, some 50 movies later, writing, directing, starring, producing, here I am.
OK, I wish we had time to go into details, but all I can say is when these miracles happen in our lives, like what's happened to me and I'm sure what's happened to you and a lot of other people listening and go, wow, that was supernatural.
You're right, that's God.
God has a plan.
He had a plan for my life to make this TV series.
The Last Evangelist, which is basically CSI meets the Book of Revelation.
If you're watching a crime drama, why not tie that into the Book of Revelation in a correct way, in a way that God would be represented properly.
And that's what we do with Last Evangelist.
That's very interesting, David, when you say sci-fi in the Book of Revelation, the wheels get get turning, right?
I mean, the one of the things that I've always kind of commented with my close friends and you know, people that I speak with on a personal basis is if Hollywood really was doing movies that were genuine to the, to the manifesto, right, to what's actually what the world looks like around us in accordance with what's prophesied.
And so that's, that's interesting.
Now, let me ask you, David, you said you've, you've done over 50 films, right?
You have an event coming up.
What does this look like being a fringe Christian Now you know, just a real within this industry with some of the connects that you have, Is this dangerous?
Is it something that you find yourself in constant prayer for protection about?
Let's just touch that really quick.
OK, let's touch that first and then back up and answer your first question last.
At the risk of sounding bold and shameless, I'm going to say this.
People ask me, how do you function in Hollywood?
David, how do you function in Hollywood?
And I go, let me ask you a question.
The question is, how does Hollywood function when I'm in it?
You see, greater is he who's in me, which is the prayer of your prayer.
You and I prayed.
You said that we have the power of God in us.
When Jesus walked the face of the earth, demons trembled.
They trembled.
They, they, they stuttered, they didn't know what to do.
So I'm to the point now, I guess you have to get to the point where you just don't care anymore.
You care more about defending God than you are offending man.
And I really don't have to say I don't It's dangerous for the devil for me to be around.
Now having said that, I'm very respectful of the supernatural world, which my flesh does not live in only my spirit.
So we have to be careful as we delve into the supernatural with our flesh.
We, you know, demons have a limited power, but they do have power.
So you got to be careful.
I've had cameras thrown around, I've had car accidents, I've had certain things they try to take out.
But the most in most cases, Rod, to answer your question is I don't have fear.
That's their greatest weapon.
I don't have fear.
And the episodes I'm making, like episode 1 of Last Evangelist is about Christian persecution.
I play a cop.
I bust underground churches because of a virus and a vaccine.
Sound familiar?
This is before the scam Demic by the way I wrote it.
And I bust underground churches until one night I hear God's voice.
I go blind, Bible in one hand, a gun in the other.
I go after the Antichrist.
Episode 2 deals with the insertion, which is a precursor I believe, to the Mark of the Beast and number.
Episode 3, which were premiering this November 14th and 15th at the Film Festival, is the blood.
It's how who's going to own your DNA?
It's how they're going after your blood.
It deals with AI Bible, it deals with going into deep Pharma.
And also it deals with the history of how we got to where we are right now, which I think can you say Operation Paper Clip in the Monarch Project, it's November the 14th and 15th.
On the 14th, I'll be teaching from a Christian point of view, filmmaking and distribution, and then we'll be showing and honoring the film makers, clips of their movies and some the whole movie and honoring them.
Saturday.
We'll be doing that all day long.
I'm going to spend a lot of my time, Rod.
What's different about this festival is I'm going to spend a lot of my time honoring the gifts that God has given the film makers and the musicians because it's a music festival also.
I don't think we give enough time to honoring people like that, film makers and musicians.
I think people get awards, they watch the movie and then everybody goes home.
I want to encourage people.
I, I want to.
We're going to pray over people.
It's it to me, it's a spiritual event.
That's what sits at separate from just any other Film Festival.
Your responses are quite epic.
I concur with especially what you said about is dangerous for the devil to have a guy like you around.
A close friend of mine, Dan Duvall, wrote a book called Pummel the Devil.
Just got back into that again recently.
And yeah, I mean, you know what you're saying with events like this, like one of the things that personally I find to be a little bit strange is, you know, the world honors getting a trophy, a piece of brass or metal over, you know what I'm saying?
The gift or the ability, like the Scripture said, God has given us the ability to produce, to create an income.
And so to hear your take on this, like, hey, now we're going to have a festival.
This is a music fest, right?
We're going to honor musicians.
The Bible also says that worshippers would go out before the battle.
Something to consider from my Bereans out there who like to study a lot and, you know, television, for how long have we been pumped with visions that are ungodly and unruly from the, you know, disgruntled powers of this world?
And so to see a Christian creative ideas start to come down the pipeline, that's, that's totally honorable.
Of course, I support that.
You know, of course, anything like real rooted in Christianity, that's no fluff, no nonsense.
I'm going to stand behind it.
So you answered everything, right?
Not that this is like a test or anything by any means, but getting, you know, we have a short amount of time.
We want to get to the point.
We want people to know this is what David's about.
This is what David's doing.
Me and you do have something planned for the future where we're going to get into each other's stories, testimonies and talk a little bit more.
But for right now, let's talk a little bit about can people come in person?
If they can, how are they enlisting for that?
Are you offering any online observations?
What give us the extent of how people can participate?
Yeah, thank you.
Good questions.
Yes, they can come online or in person.
If they want to come in person, they can go to the website.
They can go to lastevangelistfestival.com, Last Evangelist festival.com.
You can get a ticket there.
You can donate if God lays on your heart and you can submit your film and or your music there too.
Or you can go straight to Film Freeway and submit your music.
Now here's an interesting thing, Rod.
I have a category for testimonies.
I don't know any other festival has is you can get on your phone and do a three to five minute testimony of how you came to the Lord about your life or whatever.
And I'm going to I'm going to air those testimonies.
I'm going to now acknowledge those testimonies.
So anybody can be in this festival.
You don't have to to be a you know, no.
So if you want to come online, you can buy your ticket same place, last evangelist festival.com and we'll send you a link.
You can watch it online.
You don't have to come in person, but I would encourage you to because we're going to honor people.
I'm going to honor and recognize everyone who submits because your gift from God, what you do with it is your gift back to God.
And I'm called to encourage people.
OK.
I don't base on the amount of talent people have.
I've always believed talent is about 2% ambition, godliness, a definite of purpose is 98%.
OK.
And so that that's why I'm doing it.
And also too, I will say this, that last Evangelist episode 3, I will premiere.
OK, it's only going to be 1/2 hour episode.
We have a red carpet.
But here's the thing, I'm going to honor the people that were in the movie, but they had small part, big part, doesn't matter.
And I've got 3 pastors that we're honoring too.
Every Film Festival that we do, right?
Every year God said honor 3 pastors, right?
I want to honor them and so that the world and people can know who they are in the work they're doing outside of the church system.
You know, so anybody wants to see red carpet, The Last Avenged episode 3 about how they're trying to take our blood or DNA and come to watch movies and network and honor the God's talented people.
I encourage you to show up.
Now, David, it was really interesting is you, you know, God was saying to you to honor 3 pastors and and everybody on the production team for this with this new episode.
But there's some place in Proverbs, I'm going to paraphrase here where it says let someone else, you know, shout and praise about the good you've done and honor you.
Right.
And so I thought that was an interesting connection, really setting the standard.
Yeah, definitely.
That's that's cool.
You know, we've covered some of the the important stuff.
There's going to be links and details in the show notes.
I want to kind of now just brief into a little bit of of episode 1 and 2.
You originally you said in episode 1 that this kind of reminds me of the Apostle Paul from to an extent when he was Saul of Tarsus before his exchange.
You say that you're a cop and you're busting churches during a pandemic.
Yeah.
And looking for, you know, the perpetrators right against the system.
Sounds very similar to what we just went through with COVID.
I never took the jab.
I remember getting red flag from Spotify and people calling me nutty.
In 2020.
I had LA Marzoli on.
And we're, we're hashing out the concept of each row in the church needs to turn towards each other and stop listening to the guy on the stage who's telling you to go get this gene altering, you know, genetic modification to your, to your body.
And, and people thought I was an idiot for that.
I mean, like locally, we're not going to get into that.
It's not why we're here.
I digress.
Like LA would say, But I remember taking that first public stance, you know, I was taking it privately within my, within my job place, within my neighborhood.
But then I started to get vocal.
What's really fascinating is to see that stage that's been set for what we're living through now.
I believe it was a bit of a, a preliminary warm up, if you, if I can say it like that, right?
I mean, there's probably a better way it could be said it was a beta.
Test.
It was a beta test, yeah.
That's a beta test.
There you go.
It's even better.
So let's talk about that.
Like who what's you guys are extrapolating real world events and ideas and then saying, hey, we're we're making ATV show about it.
So you can kind of see, does it get spiritual, you guys introducing scriptures, What does that conversion look like?
Yeah, that's a really good question.
And it's going to be a question, hard question for me to answer, but I'm going to try my best.
I approach it as a person who myself I see in this world of last evangelist, everyone is religious, but they belong to the government religion, OK, Even if they're atheists, they just belong to the government religion, as if some Country Club because they get benefits and stuff like that.
So I've always considered myself like Paul, Saul of Taurus, that I was very spiritual, very.
But the problem is I realize through a chain of events, this is not the right God.
It's not the right religion.
So I'm hearing God's voice and I'm struggling with things.
I got a Bible in one hand, a gun together without giving the the the show away a rod.
But this guy doesn't have a come to Jesus moment like you see it, a Billy Graham crusade.
OK.
I mean, I don't know how many people do like that.
So he doesn't just, you know, he goes through what Paul goes through with blind and everything and A and a, but he goes through it in a long period of time.
You know, we don't.
I mean, Paul went through a period of time that wasn't very long.
My character is, is questioning things.
You know, he's hearing voices, he's seeing things well, is he crazy or is he really spiritual?
So he's asking these questions, but what it does, it introduces Scripture in a way to people that wouldn't read the Bible.
They're very guarded on, you know, religion.
And yet they're open to seeing this guy, you know, like a Clint Eastwood kind of a guy trying to work through his spirituality and, and understand these things.
So the the answer is, yes, it does bring scripture, but it doesn't hit you upside the head with it.
And it also doesn't just read Scripture, it acts it out.
It plays out the scripture, if that makes any sense.
OK, so instead of me saying as a character 01 day, we're all going to take the mark of the beast.
Bah Bah, Bah, no, I'm acting this out.
People are seeing it.
I don't need to say it.
It's just told in the story, right?
Which to me is the parables is the strongest way to get a point across.
The most prolific way that you can do it is exactly through what you're saying.
Exactly.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah, it's it.
But it's very difficult to stay on the track of spirituality and not get off on some sensational, you know, rabbit hole.
And so I'm constantly praying about that, that, you know, it can still be enough to keep an audience, but it's telling the truth.
And so far, God is honored that I really feel like, you know.
Yeah, it's a great response.
Yeah, the true storytelling is not verbatim what you're saying.
It's more like, what?
What are people identifying with?
Like, what is the process?
Right.
Just like kids.
I mean, you look at young kids, they watch what we do.
They're not listening to what we say.
You know, politicians are out here parading around not to get political, but let me move in a different direction.
The enemy parades as an Angel of light, right?
We have a bunch of people out here talking and.
And that's why I tell my people behind the scenes I'm like, listen, you guys know.
Rod gets this right.
I get this wrong.
I'm not the best example.
I don't have all this figured out.
I've been very transparent throughout my public spotlight over the last six years with this show.
Just I've called myself out on failures.
I think that, you know, that's that's a strong to be your own critic through the eyes of the sanctification that's happening is OK, right.
But when you tell people stuff, I've learned at least that they don't always remember what you said.
They remember how you made them feel, right.
So if you're, if you're doing a movie right ATV show and you're presenting, you know, the a real story, you know, they're watching the transition of somebody's wheels turning and they're starting to figure out how wild this world really is, right?
And the enemies that are against them and, and the, the connections, the wow, this government is suppressing me because I didn't fit the mold right or I didn't take this jab that that paints a stronger picture than just speaking and saying, you know, well, I think this is great, David.
It's I think you're the right guy to be doing it.
Obviously, God always puts the people that He's calling in the right position and with the right connections to get this kind of stuff done.
You know, another angle to it is this is one of a lot of awards.
We're up to 3032 awards at film festivals.
Talking about Last Evangelist Episode 1, I never thought this would happen.
Never.
But it's brought me into another whole different set of eyeballs I never could have gotten to, both in the Christian world and in secular.
But I'm able to get in front of a secular audience.
We would just want a big award at a big festival 2 weeks ago in Hollywood and I was able to stand up and hold up the award for best TV series and say I want to thank my executive producer, my Father in heaven.
You see that right there in an audience that doesn't go to church.
Maybe doesn't that that that.
Give me two.
Give me 5 seconds in front of that audience.
I'll that instead of four hours in front of a Six Flags Over Jesus church going audience.
I couldn't agree with you more.
And so the other thing too is God told me when I made this, he says you're not going to go to the studios and get any funding.
You're not going to investors.
Oh Lord, what am I going to do?
You're going to go to my people.
So I set up a crowdfunding site five years ago and it's been very humble, Rod.
We've had to make this on blood, sweat and tears, but God just gives you enough just to do what you got to do.
And so if anyone wants to donate, they can go to lastevangelist.com.
They can become an actor or producer or special thanks or walk on row, whatever, but or T-shirts.
But the reason that that's important is is because God told me to create my own platform, davidheavener.tv, which I've got over 1200 shows on.
I got your all show on there, you know, and I got people like LA Marzulli, the Lake Russ, Russ Dead Star and all that.
And Last Evangelist is on there exclusively.
But here's the point, my Hollywood friends that know me making all these movies, raising money, going to studios, having carte blanche in the indie world sees me now doing something they consider insane.
They go, you're doing what?
You're like crowdfunding, you're like doing your own distribution.
See.
And I get to talk to him and explain to them, well, God's telling me to do this.
And they just, you know, to me, that's a great testimony because people that don't know God are seeing people of God doing things for God.
And like you said, that's the best testimony there is.
I could sit all day long and tell him to go do something, you know, out-of-the-box or whatever, but they see me doing it.
And that's so powerful.
And that's been a great testimony for me in Hollywood.
You know, David, one thing I try to create a balance of looking into all the stuff going on in the world today.
But there, you know, a lot of people do send me these clips.
Rod, did you see this?
Rod, did you hear about that?
I took a extended sabbatical for the month of September this year, 2025.
God spoke to me about that and very interesting.
But but I'll say I'll say it like this.
I'm seeing people and I don't know, David, if this is AI, OK, or if it's, you know, memes.
There's people out there just that the enemy calls this confusion.
God is not a spirit of confusion.
He does not give us that.
But I have been seeing a lot of people that are well known within the public entertainment industry making proclamations of faith, right?
Like this person's going to church now.
This person is a believer in Jesus.
Now, like I said, I don't know, but I believe that the world is being primed.
You know, it's not about what we think it should or shouldn't be God's ways or higher than our ways.
He's going to call and he's going to do what what God does.
We're either on board or we're in resistance to it.
What I do wonder sometimes, like what is AI?
You know, And that's why it's like really, in my opinion, like the last kind of intimate broadcast that we did on your end, it was a little bit more of like a special behind the scenes for your paid subscribers.
You know, there was a a handful of us that came on and we we tackled some really tough questions with, with your audience.
You know, I had live interactions with them.
I thought that that was cool.
The reason I'm bringing this up, David, is because there's so many people out there and I'm like, sometimes I wonder like who's AI?
Like I want to actually come and put my hand on your shoulder, look you in the eyes, you know, and spend time with you.
I haven't gotten to do that with you yet, but I believe that there's a time coming when that's going to be a possibility.
But that's that's one of the things is like in this realm of all these changes and all the information going, it's I, I work with a good amount of people, David, but I don't know a lot of people in this and, and Rod just has been podcasting with his head down.
I've met and collaborated with a number of people over the years, which has been amazing.
But we are living in a time where people need to know who is a trusted ruse, Who can I really go to?
Like when you had Klaus and Michael and Aaron and me on, we've all been together in person.
Like we've travelled 8 and 6 and 10 hours, you know, like from, from the Carolinas, from Virginia, from, you know, all over the place to get together.
And I think that that was, that was a year ago, over a year ago.
That's the birth of what we're coming into now.
This festival that you're doing, the 14th and the 15th of November is an opportunity to do that kind of same thing thing.
And I'm not talking about fanboying anybody or you know, like chasing down David to try to get an autograph.
I'm talking about being present, praying, understanding.
We're called to create culture.
It's not the culture of the world that we need to follow after.
As Kingdom believers, Kingdom builders, we create culture.
I've always thought that I've never copycat or followed after anybody.
I just did what I wanted to do.
I've been influenced by the late Doctor Chuck misser by Canary Cry Radio.
You know, there's certain people that super influences of my early beginnings, but we're creating this culture.
And so I just want to applaud you for having that and opening that to the public.
I would say to people, I, I have listeners in all 50 states.
I don't know how many of you are in Ohio.
You might be like 8th or 10th on the list.
I don't really pay too much attention.
We have listeners there.
I have friends and and family in Ohio but I would just encourage you guys if you can go go meet up in person.
Do you want me to add this address to the details of the show notes for people?
Sure, that'd be great.
And Ron, I hope you can make it out too, man, I'd love to introduce you to people and, and help you in your mission to do ministry work for God.
So absolutely.
And I really appreciate you taking the time to have me on and to, to tell people about this.
So thank you very much.
I appreciate that.
You're welcome.
Yeah, you're doing great things, David, and needs to be recognized.
So it's an honor to have this opportunity to pitch this out to all the listeners.
Let's kind of close up with telling people where you can be found.
Let's recap once again on those dates.
Is there an admission fee is one of my actually last questions.
Yeah, to get in.
Yeah, it's there's an admission fee.
It's like, I don't know, 20 bucks or something like that.
It's it's El cheapo and I think cheaper for kids.
You know, a lot of festivals charge 5200 bucks now.
I'm not going to do that.
Yeah, at the 20s and like no brainer, it does.
Yeah, just go.
Yeah, yeah, just.
Go people.
Pretty good.
And we'll the ticket you go to lastevangelistfestival.com.
If you've got film or music, you can enter it into the festival.
If you want to see the red carpet, see the movie of Last Evangelist episode 3.
It's about it's about give a hunt.
It's MK Ultra operation paper clip the truth, the reality behind it.
Not some, you know, Hollywood shenanigans and how their battle for your blood.
And also you'll get if you want to come to my classes teaching filmmaking, acting, you can do that.
If you can't make it, you can just stay home and watch online.
We're going to have a great time and we're going to praise God and we're going to pray over people and honor people's gifts.
Well, you guys heard it here.
Details will be in the show notes on this episode.
This is 1 where I'm going to ask you guys like the rest to share it far and wide.
You never know how it can make a difference.
You know there there's so many times that I look back at something someone shared with me like Canary Cry in 2017 that showed me I wasn't alone in the world and I and I started to wow, these guys are just like me.
They're thinking the way I'm thinking and look at what it's birthed into.
You never know what sharing something like this, an episode like this, getting somebody boots on the ground, meeting people, getting prayed over can do.
It's the great Christian ripple effect.
So just be a part of it.
It's really easy.
Share the episode.
That's it coming to you from southeastern Pennsylvania.
God bless and goodbye.
I came from the sun, but one of you straight from the heavens.
He really owed me.
All in my life I was beating up.
All in my life I didn't handle.
All in my life I was stuck in on track.
All in my life I didn't handle wreck.
I didn't know why my life was so wet.
I didn't know why my life was a wreck.
I didn't even know why I couldn't get up.
I was so stuck.
And the muggy was stuck till I found out.
And I broke everything till I found out.
And they took everything until I was hurting my heart.
It was strained.
Yeah, I was broken.
I had all this pain held on home.
It got harder than this hope.
Then I would dip to the side in this mode.
I had no truth but to look to my guy.
He gave me stomach up, open my eyes.
He gave me earrings.
And he told me I'm blessed.
He told me he just believe in this stuff.
I told him I can't change all of my ways.
He said I got you to look at this.
I looked at him and he showed me his ways.
They he just told me how I am this time.
They he just told me I'm not in this world.
He told me I come from the heavens above.
I'm a new creature.
I come from the sun, from the one and only, straight from the heavens.
He really owe me.
I came from the sun I was really with him.
And heavenly places I'm sealing.
Y'all can't even go that way.
Y'all don't even know that way.
Y'all want to play like Patty cake but this ain't no game but it's still right.
You wank this so fake when you walk under me and I know you're a snake.
You think you can beat me but you got no power.
You all in a way I take out that chopper I'll put on your top and I'll prank on your face.
I see you laughing you think that you got me but you got no way.
The evil you say for my life is OK because it's made for my good.
My God that created he created you so you really is cooked.
I said all these things because I know what is true and you know you win for but like I did case when you're done winning games you can never win.
I know the things that's going to happen to you when you die.
You didn't live in your life because you know you can never go and get safe.
You know his great thing, his mercy was true from you when you're my son in the plot.
Thought you could take on my God spot.
