Episode Transcript
Hello, and welcome back to the Max Phony Podcast.
And tonight, guys, I have a very juicy episode for you, and it's all about beck from Adelaide, who we just watched Mary Danny the British Ranger.
And although this season is currently just a few days in, Becky's already copying some pretty serious accusations from various people who claim to know her personally.
And if what they're saying is true, then I am speechless because this is next level and something we have never seen before.
Bear with me here now, because this little recap is important before I get to the stuff being said online, because this is all about public narrative versus actual reality.
And think back to the first episode of this season and Monday Night.
Beck was the first bride who we were introduced to.
Speaker 2Growing up.
Speaker 3There was not a lot of self love going on by friends.
Speaker 2They're all beautiful and.
Speaker 3Skinny, and I was never there.
Speaker 2I was always.
Speaker 3The chubby one.
But over the past twelve months worked on my mind, worked on my health, and I've lost twenty kilos.
Speaker 1And a lot of her backstory was about her overcoming her insecurity surrounding her appearance and her body and her physical transformation over the last year or two.
Speaker 3I don't think I'm a ten out of ten by any means at all, but I definitely walked through life now thinking and feeling that I'm beautiful.
Speaker 1And during that first episode, Beck was then presented to us as like this year's female hero as she spoke up against Jia who had arrived and was presented to us as like, you know, the villain, very similar to the Dom and Olivia stuff a few years ago.
Beck so her name, Yeah, weird bitch.
She was looking at me in a way like I hate this bitch.
Speaker 3I'm not going to go out of my way to be an asshole to someone, but gratitude stinks and.
Speaker 1I like it.
So from the very start of this series, the very first episode, the narrative established on screen was that Beck is a woman who has been on a journey that most female viewers will resonate with regarding her body, and even more female viewers would then get behind as she was the only one vocal against Jia.
But now here's the thing.
There's now an alternative narrative being established across the Internet and the tabloids that actually, Beck may not be so nice and she may also have lied about her backstory.
Hello, and now to me what I'm gonna say next?
Like, it feels a bit ikey to talk about someone's body, but the context is important here and she kind of chose to put this in the public domain by talking about it on the biggest show in Australia.
So in Beck's backstory she mentioned how she lost twenty kilos and it shown us I think two before pictures, you know, before she lost away, and one of those pictures was her sat on a similar just somewhere in a black vest top.
And then after that episode on Monday, someone who claims to know her personally has claimed that that picture, the before picture, was actually edited and not real.
And they also claim to have found a picture of her taken apparently on the same day, looking much slimmer.
And there's no proof those pictures were taken on the same day other than the fact that Beck is wearing the same necklace and earring and sonnies and whatever, but she is wearing a different top.
And that person who's made this claim they wrote in a Reddit thread which has now gained a lot of traction, hence me talking about it.
They wrote, a friend of mine confirms Beck is extremely rude and fatphobic, and her weightless photos are photoshopped.
These two photos are taken the exact end.
I don't know why I'm doing this accent bar car and these two photos.
It's my angry person accent.
These two photos are taken the exact same day, but the Maths version has been photoshopped to make her bigger.
As expected, this then spicked like a whole friend of people were talking hundreds of comments.
You know, You've got viewers scrolling through years of Beck's Instagram posts saying, well, she looks like she's always been slim.
Maybe she did lie and you know, not thinking maybe she just deleted any pictures where she didn't feel confident or look at them and enjoy how she looked.
And then you've got other people commented saying, well, I went to school with Beck and she was a mean girl.
And then you've got other people who claim to also know Beck in real life and they're like, no, she's none of these things.
The people saying that they're just bisier and jealous, and it's a mess.
But like the discourse around this has kind of planted this seat to a lot of viewers that, Hey, maybe the Beck we've watched, like especially episode one, may not be the real Beck.
And then, as this thread has been blown up, a Daily Male article then dropped on Tuesday with the headline the vile sexual slur you didn't see our mass.
Beck and Gea have the nastiest feud of the season, and that article then reads the Hen's night introduced viewers to the cas of brides who will be tying than not.
This year, Beck was positioned as emotionally fragile and carrying the weight of years of insecurity.
Gea burst in with confidence bordering arrogance.
According to multiple sources, at one stage, Beck was overhead calling Ga a trashy slut, a remark that stunned the crew and underscored how quickly the hostility had escalated.
The slur was left on the cutting room floor, perhaps because it was too abrasive, or perhaps because it conflicted with the wounded persona of Beck that producers had already mapped out.
Speaker 4Dunt dun dune.
Speaker 1That feels like a mic drum.
I was like, how dramatic is that writing?
Is that what news has become?
It's like a ruin in fiction carrying the weight of years of insecurity.
Now, personally, I don't know if any of those things are true or if this is your some orchestrated takedown of another woman who is now in the public eye, which we've seen so many times before.
But what I can tell you is I saw Beck a couple of times during filming, and I think we had maybe one conversation for a few minutes, and to me, I genuinely thought she was lovely.
Like I left that thinking, all right, she'll probably be liked on the show, like she was pleasant enough to me.
And maybe I was misled.
Maybe she was nice to me, but maybe she's not nice overall.
I don't know.
Like again, I don't really know her.
But something interesting to point out here which goes with all this is I recently saw some pictures that were taken in December.
I think of Jia and Beck hanging out together, making tiktoks together, looking like best friends.
I think they'd flow an into state to catch up together after the show.
And that's quite interesting, given so many people and so much media are hyping up how their feud is meant to drag on for the whole season and be explosive and toxic and all these things, so them to now be in besties is Yeah, I'm not really sure what to make of that.
And also I'm sorry the transformation picture apparently being edited in fague, Like I would be astounded if that was true, because not only would it be so fucked if true, like surely the show wouldn't do that.
So then what people are suggesting Beck did it and gave the fake picture to the show.
Again, I just I just don't think it's true because it would just be the easiest thing in the world to prove is fake and a lie.
But yeah, this is married at first sight, and this is how rumors start.
And Beck, if you're listening, please reach out to me, even if off the record, slide into my DMS.
I'm sure someone's got my number who you know, and please stir me in the right direction here and help me set the record straight, because the way I see this narrative already forming after three episodes, I think it's going to get a lot worse.
And yeah, who knows what else is going to be said.
Okay, I recorded all of that that you've just had earlier today before tonight's episode, and I'm now recording this part mid watching tonight's episode, it's not the adverts, And I've just watched the scene of Beck and Danny waking up together.
Speaker 2Well, I saw Daniels, Danna Konda, and I did not disappoint sensational all round people, good shag, good sight, good shag.
It was a sensational or not.
Speaker 1Beck is boasting about their great set.
I know she didn't even say said she said top shag, wasn't it?
And then it pans that his face looking like he would rather be anywhere else in the world.
Speaker 2Imagine that would be awful, wouldn't it, not having sexual chemistry with your husband.
Speaker 4With sexual chemistry, it's over there or it's not sort of just it's not there, And like, I.
Speaker 1Don't watch it.
I had to cover my face just out of the second hand embarrassment.
Like fuck, if that was me, I think I would just quit the show in that moment.
I would find a cave.
I would move into it for at least the next five years until the world forgets because God, that was brutal and humiliating and fuck, like this show, how does it keep out doing itself?
Speaker 4Hello?
Speaker 1Actually, I've just thought of another theory going back to that whole rumor and claim that Bex transformation pictures are fake.
A possible scenario here, right, is that her backstory was filmed after the wedding and honeymoon, and it was filmed, you know, once that scene happened, and once producers had that in the canon, they knew how much gold they had in you know, this happy woman waking up saying how great the sex was and then her husband being like, nah, it was shit.
And producers could have looked at that scene and then gone, all right, how can we make this woman being rejected after sex by her new husband like even more impactful?
And how would they do that?
Will them may have gone, hey, why don't we film some scenes for her backstory to play first, which would build her up as like very insecure about her body and intimacy beforehand.
So then by the time we get to you know, Danny saying the sex with shit, viewers will already be so emotionally invested in, like wanting her to find the acceptance she craves so desperately, especially when it comes to again her appearance and intimacy.
And if this theory is correct, which I mean I'm starting the theory, maybe then the backstory pictures and stuff aren't fake as that Reddit person has claimed, but maybe they've just been potentially exaggerated just a little bit to fuel this story act.
And in the reality television production world, like everything is a story act, even in the radio we use that so much.
Even planning a ten minute radio segment when I used to be a producer and kiss like the segment, I would have to know beforehand, what's the story act of this?
Is it a guy phoning his ex wife up saying they want to get back together?
I'd think, all right, what's my start, middle, and what's my.
Speaker 4The end we want?
Speaker 1And can we try achieve that end?
And with reality TV, especially where it's so much bigger, like that start, middle, and end are often mapped out in advance or skewed a little bit manipulated, you could say, so like if producers knew that Beck being rejected after sex would be like the middle of this little story act, then they must go, Okay, we must now go back to the start aka the backstory and film scenes, get pictures, b roll quotes, which would all build towards that middle, which is the rejection, hence highlighting her insecurities as heavily as they could.
And fuck, how are we now just three episodes in and I've already got theories this deep?
And here's the other thing though, if this is true, that means we're going to see a completely different Beck on screen soon, because usually story acts they span the entire seasons.
Like if this was Beck's main story act, yes, start with her feeling insecure and then rejection, and then the end would be like her overcoming that rejection and maybe you should eventually have this moment of I don't need you, I don't need no man.
We all clap and share and applaud, But again, we're only what three episodes in and we're at the middle of this journey of her insecure then rejected.
Where does it go from there?
Maybe the end of that act is she's completely unhinged, a bit crazy, a bit giving Jackie from last year, which we maybe saw earlier in this episode when she kind of flipped out when Danny made a joke during their ceremony.
And maybe this is like a mini story arc which leads into a huge new story act of her being the crazy one.
I remember what I said in that pod the other day, and when I was giving that teaser of the season upcoming, and how John Aikin keeps saying this year there are multiple villains.
There's a group of girls who call themselves Boss Babes who are just chaotic drama and bring a level of drama that we've never seen before.
So yeah, actually I'm putting my words in it.
Beck is involved in that, and then the insecure stuff.
Maybe we've done that now we've had to start the middle and the end is now taking us in a completely different direction that we never saw coming.
As always, time will tell, so yeah,
