It's Marcus and it's time once again for second date update.
We've talked about it for years.
You go on a date, you get ghosted, we will call your date to figure out, Hey, if you screwed up, b if they've just been busy, or see what the deal is.
And that's why Felix is here.
Speaker 2Yeah, yeah, hi, good morning.
Speaker 1Obviously we want to talk about this date with this girl, Dana.
Yes, so yes, Now you said you met online.
What did you do for the first date?
Speaker 2Oh my god.
We went to Japantown, went to the sushi joint for dinner.
Okay, this day it was amazing.
I love this place is like warm lighting and it feels like one of those first dates that intributed a movie.
And we talked about travel.
She had just been to Japan, so it's perfect.
We like talk embarrassing childhood stories.
Anyway, at one point, you got a bit of soft on her nose and I got my neck and I wiped it off and she blushed and I actually said out loud, like total wrong, calm moment.
Yeah, and she like smiled and I was like, oh my god, this is this is incredible.
So after dinner we hit a karaoke bar nearby and we closed the place.
We had so much fun.
And I do not say this about dates, but it felt magical, Like I thought, oh my god, this is what I've been waiting for.
This is the kind of first date you tell your you know, kids about.
Speaker 3But I'm shocked.
Speaker 2She's vanished, like completely.
Speaker 1I was just talking to my producer Taylor about dating online.
She says, it's horrible, So this must have just been like a cool moment.
Speaker 2I guess, huh, very all right, But I know you guys helped out people.
Uh, we have people get ghosted.
Speaker 1We got Felix on the phone.
We're in the middle of second date update.
I do like your date, Felix, quite a bit.
You.
So, just to recap, you all went for sushi in Japantown in San Francisco and then karaoke lounge afterwards, and you basically shut the place down.
I get it, all right, she has ghosted, So let's figure it out.
You can't think of anything that might have happened.
Speaker 2No, I keep playing it over my head because there's nothing else I can't sure.
Speaker 1Go ahead and mut your phone.
Let's do this right, Oh, let's hope here we go.
Well, Hi, can I talk to Dana please?
Speaker 2Yes?
This is her.
Speaker 1Hi Dana, this is Marcus from Star one one three in the morning.
Hi.
Speaker 3Hey, I've been listening to the second Day Update for years.
I have a feeling I know what this is about.
Speaker 1Somebody just checked.
Speaker 3Oh my gosh.
Speaker 1Hi, Hi, So you're good to be on Second Date Update because you know who is holding.
Speaker 2Yeah.
Speaker 3I figured if I'd be on this it would be because of something wild happening.
And I have a story for you.
Speaker 1So okay, great to be here.
Do I bring Felix on an hour later?
Speaker 3Sure you can.
I mean, it's totally.
Speaker 2Up to you.
Speaker 1Felix.
Are you there, Bud?
Speaker 2Hey, hey man?
Speaker 1Hi, So Felix said you had a great time.
This was the date at the with sushi and then karaoke.
I don't know if you remember.
Speaker 3Oh I remember?
Speaker 1Okay, So how did you ghost?
Speaker 3I mean it was the first date, so I don't consider it ghosting, but yeah, I obviously did not.
Speaker 1That's like the fourth time I've heard that.
So is it not technically ghosting if it's just one date?
Speaker 3I personally one date, I don't consider it.
Speaker 1Okay, maybe after I learned things every day, so okay, let's not call it ghosting, but you're done.
Speaker 3Yeah, definitely, all right, So yeah.
Speaker 1Tell us about the date from your perspective.
Speaker 3Well, Hi'm Felix.
I mean, honestly, it started off really great, Felix.
You're handsome, you know, you're funny.
We had a great conversation and then things kind of went downhill when we got karaoke first.
I mean, you definitely got really drunk, like you were like leaning on the mic stand drunk at karaoke, and I really was turned off by the fact that you were snapping at the bartender when you wanted another drink.
I thought that was just so disrespectful.
And Scott was already bad enough.
But then you got up on stage and you started singing I'll make Love to You by Boys to Men, and you looked at me in the eye and it was just so uncomfortable.
So cringe.
Yes, yes, and like for our first date, I was just already you were you're very, very drunk, and then adding that it was just such a turnoff, and I was, yeah, I just didn't know why you thought that any of that was okay.
Speaker 1The visuals alone, Felix, what is going on?
Speaker 2Okay, of all, Yes, I had a few.
I mean you had a couple of drinks too.
We were celebrating, like you were vibing.
I was vibing.
It's karaoke night, you know, we had dinner like a party at here.
Let's go, you know, let's have fun.
Speaker 3Yeah.
And when you were king on the mic, yeah you were.
You were super bartender.
Speaker 2I was not rude.
I was just trying to get their attention because it's a loud place, there's music playing.
What do you want?
Like, am I supposed to yell at him?
I feel like fingersnapping is like more considerate.
I'm not gonna yell it.
Speaker 3Have you ever worked in like a restaurant or anything, like, don't snap at people.
I think it's super disrespect.
Well, you can get up and go talk to them.
You don't have to yell, you don't.
Speaker 2You have to get their attention.
That's not rude, you know.
Speaker 3I just that's the way you treat service people.
I feel like it's a is a big tell.
Speaker 2I mean, I agree, but I feel like I wasn't rude to them.
Speaker 1I want to get to the serenade though, because that's my favorite part come on.
Speaker 2That is apt solutly a classic song for a karaoke night, and I was trying to be funny.
I was not being creepy.
You cannot yes, yeah, I was playing up the song we haven't even.
Speaker 3Kissed yet, you can't be singing I'll make love to you like It's just it was such a turn off.
I feel like it was just way too much, too soon.
Speaker 1All right, Is there any shot at a do over?
Speaker 3No?
No, no, no, absolutely no no second day for me.
