[SPEAKER_00]: Like when I wake up, I'm like, I'm so tired.
[SPEAKER_00]: I just want to be in bed.
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, at least we'll be back here later.
[SPEAKER_01]: You tonight, like, thank God I don't have to think of I forever.
[SPEAKER_01]: That would be bleak.
[SPEAKER_01]: Guys, I just want to say if you had a new year's Eve last night that was really fun, then you did it wrong.
[SPEAKER_01]: New years isn't supposed to be fun.
[SPEAKER_01]: It is supposed to be stressful.
[SPEAKER_01]: It will be miserable.
[SPEAKER_01]: It is supposed to be miserable and full of regret.
[SPEAKER_01]: I saw two funny TikToks in the name promise.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'll lead with the second one.
[SPEAKER_01]: We'll be one that can kind of push us into the to the upper side.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just going to say we get each like tell one anecdote from a new year's.
[SPEAKER_01]: But okay.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't really have a crazy story.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they're pretty much.
[SPEAKER_02]: But one TikTok was like, here are your options for your plans on New Year's Eve.
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_02]: Number one.
[SPEAKER_01]: pay $100 to go stand shoulder to shoulder and a dive bar you would maybe only go to one or two.
[SPEAKER_01]: That is actually a steal.
[SPEAKER_01]: Spend the whole night waiting to get a drink with one of two drink tickets you were given with the $100 purchase.
[SPEAKER_01]: And you can't get one.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then you go home and it's all well, liquor or warm beer.
[SPEAKER_01]: She's that's what she's used.
[SPEAKER_01]: So you can wait and line for your water down well drink or the on-drain champagne toast and she and then she [SPEAKER_02]: go to a house party where your best friend spends the entire night making out with a stranger and your situation ship is ghosting you as the night goes on the third option as you think you're going to recharge before the new year and you're going to stay in and be responsible but you spend the entire night going through instagram stories yes just thinking about how much of a loser crying and being like and i'm starting the year fucking [SPEAKER_01]: Um, that's the kind of year I'm gonna have tonight.
[SPEAKER_01]: The kind of night I'm gonna have tonight not year and the second TikTok.
[SPEAKER_02]: It was this Cushie goes I know there are like two worlds going on because I got off the train this morning and I saw I heard a pair of two like girlfriends go Hey, and can I like bring anything to the party night and the girl is yeah if you could just bring for move in a flon [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, her moods and a fun it was as saragal is the girl goes oh yeah for sure outside that yeah No, no, no, she goes yeah, that's perfect.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'll see you tonight For a move in a flan that's a late-remooth and a flan is epic That's so that's a hilarious.
[SPEAKER_02]: I thought you'd like kind of mean imagine being the friend or having a friend that just has A flan recipe in their back pocket and she's probably a bit on it at a store [SPEAKER_01]: Hey, see by the way, if I run to the entire narrative, if I ever ask you to bring a flan, I mean sort of a lot.
[SPEAKER_01]: Or bakery bot, girl, don't try to make it for the first time.
[SPEAKER_01]: This, it didn't seem like this was this girl's first time.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, then she's probably a flan baker.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, that's what I'm saying, but he knows that.
[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't have any friend who has a flan recipe in their back pocket and can just be like, yeah, bring a flan tonight.
[SPEAKER_01]: When I was a, he not Blair on a snare thing, which by the way, somebody thought that was a trombone.
[SPEAKER_02]: it was like bleron is it's a trumpet bleron a trumpet some of that bleron a casserole are you guys I hate saying this tell me you don't have two sisters in percussion without telling me this is give me a question it's giving and forgive me for a sponge ball reference but the you're not forgiven where Patrick is like um his man is an instrument like and he doesn't know what like [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't know a Spongebob and off to know that quote, but but it is the same energy.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, of course, but I was really wondering what you're on a combination.
[SPEAKER_01]: I know I was wondering about the pronunciation and then they're like, learn a drum.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, I mean, it's close, but like, come on.
[SPEAKER_01]: Does it rhyme really?
[SPEAKER_01]: Give me a break.
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, no, but I was like, what do I do, Dan on a what?
[SPEAKER_01]: And I was like, is it flan or flan?
[SPEAKER_01]: Cause I almost did that.
[SPEAKER_01]: This and I was like, vermuth and flan girls said flan, but it probably is flan then.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think it could be sparse inherently with my life.
[SPEAKER_01]: Evermuth and flan girl.
[SPEAKER_01]: me to.
[SPEAKER_01]: Trust her in her relationship.
[SPEAKER_01]: It she should make tote bags.
[SPEAKER_01]: One new year's Eve story I have that I'll just end this with is it was in college and it was like okay every new year's it's like witch ex boyfriend will I be making out with you know and this party I mean I want to say this is probably like this is hopefully where I stopped wanting a party like this anymore.
[SPEAKER_01]: But I was hanging out at my ex's house.
[SPEAKER_01]: Kelly was there.
[SPEAKER_01]: She ended up leaving going somewhere else for midnight because I was like I'm staying here.
[SPEAKER_01]: And I kept getting sick going and throwing up in the bathroom and coming right back out hanging out, taking more shots like literally just rallying.
[SPEAKER_01]: spend the night at my ex-boyfriend's house wake up in the morning and i'm like well uh i'm calling a new verb goodbye i actually don't even think he was awake yet i go out on the porch is fucking freezing but i'm not waiting inside the house there's also no furniture in the house of course because it's a boy in college and they don't have any furniture it's just white walls like the landlord's special white walls and and like gray carpet and no furniture very much [SPEAKER_01]: And I'm waiting on the porch for the Uber to come and get in and the Uber seats have spider man sheets like all overall them and I was like okay he can prepare and I didn't realize at the time how important this detail would be.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god.
[SPEAKER_01]: We're driving home from like south side home and I am in the car and I'm like oh my god like I think I'm going to throw up.
[SPEAKER_01]: I really think I'm going to throw up.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's a bumpy ride.
[SPEAKER_01]: Holy shit.
[SPEAKER_01]: and i'm like i can keep this together like i am not gonna throw up i'm gonna be fine i was just like i got this this is not a problem curling you're not gonna throw up so then i finally get the courage we're passing the McDonald's on west liberty or the windies or no it's McDonald's and i was like here's both right hey can we pull uh can we actually pull over can we pull over really quick in the guy like as he is pulling over no way projectile bomb hit him [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
[SPEAKER_01]: I've never in my life like the way that it was like I actually could and it wasn't one of those things we can get out on yourself.
[SPEAKER_01]: It was like oh my god, but it was like bile.
[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry if you're afraid to throw up, but it was like I didn't have anything in my stomach.
[SPEAKER_01]: Thank God.
[SPEAKER_01]: And I got out of the car.
[SPEAKER_01]: I finished throwing up.
[SPEAKER_01]: I get back in and I'm like crying like I'm so sorry.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm so sorry.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like so upset.
[SPEAKER_01]: By the way, before this happening told me I didn't even look the or seen that hungover.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh yeah and I end up getting home and I was like oh my god the charge I'm gonna have like holy fuck Like I'm I'm so stressed to go inside the house turn on the shower keep throwing up He never charged me.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh well I never got charged for throwing up in the hands-over to sweet guy And I have a five-star cooperating that I don't deserve that's crazy [SPEAKER_01]: But it's like, okay, that's what manners will catch you.
[SPEAKER_01]: And that is what manners will catch you.
[SPEAKER_01]: So with that, let's get into one of my favorite episodes of Gossip Girl literally ever, season one episode five, cold, Daredevil.
[SPEAKER_01]: Daredevil.
[SPEAKER_01]: Daredevil.
[SPEAKER_01]: You know who you're like?
[SPEAKER_01]: It will help.
[SPEAKER_01]: Hello sister, hello sister, Belle, Belle, Belle, Belle, that was a good one, hello sister, it's like B-A-O is how she says it, B-A-O, Belle, Belle, but she says every syllable, Belle, I mean, I'll get it one day, but I believe that's what she's done by the way, it's the only one take, it's almost as she's saying, Belle, Belle, [SPEAKER_02]: in a British accent.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you're right, you're right, you're right.
[SPEAKER_01]: In like a cockney kind of bail.
[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
[SPEAKER_01]: To play bail.
[SPEAKER_01]: Guys.
[SPEAKER_01]: Get me out of prison.
[SPEAKER_01]: Good girl.
[SPEAKER_01]: Get me out of this cell.
[SPEAKER_01]: Good sister.
[SPEAKER_01]: Get me out of this cell.
[SPEAKER_01]: What changed?
[SPEAKER_01]: What?
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, what?
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, was.
[SPEAKER_01]: You're gonna get expelled.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, was.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, it's all right.
[SPEAKER_01]: You're gonna get yourself killed.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, was expelled.
[SPEAKER_02]: And that's how many of you know, she's she's got both British accents on lock.
[SPEAKER_01]: Guys, more than two.
[SPEAKER_02]: Good guy Nate and Chuck are not in this episode at all.
[SPEAKER_01]: And no, they're not.
[SPEAKER_01]: Did you miss them?
[SPEAKER_02]: No, but I actually know I didn't because I just remembered and I also just remember all the icon I knew that Nate was out because they tell us, but I did for I didn't even notice truck wasn't in the end.
[SPEAKER_01]: Didn't even notice until right now.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sorry, this episode is so crucial about like who I turned out to be.
[SPEAKER_01]: All I've ever wanted is to host a Blair Waldorf sleepover, but I can't, because I'm not Blair Waldorf, as much as my own sugar and I've tried, really tried to be her.
[SPEAKER_01]: We get a montage of these sleepover preparations.
[SPEAKER_01]: We learn that Nate is prepping the family yacht for the season, and I wonder how things are over with the archibalds.
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, and so Blair is free to focus on the most important event of the fall, her annual sleepover, a tradition since the year 2000, each one more decadent in the last, no expense or reputation is spared.
[SPEAKER_01]: She's going to fly to Tinnon Alpha for the, for the morning.
[SPEAKER_01]: She literally is a sending the steps in full, like not even business casual, she is giving a presentation.
[SPEAKER_01]: The big second team to that.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, for sure.
[SPEAKER_01]: 100% pencil skirt, blazer, hair pulled back, might as well have a pencil and a ponytail like roof as a pencil behind his ear later and I'm like, what were you even doing, writing a song?
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sure that's what you want me to think.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, okay, learning how to write maybe, like, and cursive.
[SPEAKER_01]: He seems more like something he'd be doing.
[SPEAKER_02]: If you walk in a room for his apartment, and it's those three lines paper, and he's learning how to put in their labels ever in person.
[SPEAKER_01]: If you think I'm trying to learn how to read cursive, I can't figure it out.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's all done right, so don't know how to read or write in cursive.
[SPEAKER_01]: And Jenny's been into calligraphy.
[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, what do these say?
[SPEAKER_01]: Who can anyone read this, Jenny?
[SPEAKER_01]: You're addressing these, they're not going to get where they're going.
[SPEAKER_01]: Can't read this shit.
[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, we've got people like people of full weight stuff running around with like silver platters full of overflowing grapes and like jars of cookies and pillows and it's just like is it's not what dreams are made of like did this not give you butterflies?
[SPEAKER_01]: you know, this is not kind of my night, but that's so crazy to me.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I watched this episode so many times over and over and not just because it was the only one I purchased.
[SPEAKER_01]: But like, I was like, this is, this is the best TV was ever made.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, this is, this show was written for me.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, that I, that I, it just felt that way.
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, and they all have like clothing racks with their names on it.
[SPEAKER_01]: Now that's the one thing.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, [SPEAKER_01]: Where did the clothes come from?
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, her mom's a designer.
[SPEAKER_01]: So are they all LNR Waldorf designs?
[SPEAKER_01]: What am I asking?
[SPEAKER_01]: Probably.
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_01]: Cool.
[SPEAKER_01]: But Dan's head of the bank with six pounds of quarters for his date tonight with Serena.
[SPEAKER_02]: And Roof is like, you can't just take her to a movie.
[SPEAKER_02]: And Dan says, that you don't understand.
[SPEAKER_01]: Who's this, uh, Serena Vanerwood sin?
[SPEAKER_01]: You don't just take it african movie.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, well, you actually tried to famously.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, didn't work.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's like, that's why she didn't work out.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because she didn't want to be.
[SPEAKER_01]: She was going to be.
[SPEAKER_01]: Don't let shoots.
[SPEAKER_01]: Do a.
[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't realize Rufus still had the check from Lily.
[SPEAKER_01]: I thought one Lily brought the painting back.
[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, Rufus, I felt this is like not legal.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm confused about it because he's got this check in Dan's like, should I take it to deposit it when I go to the bank?
[SPEAKER_01]: And Rufus like won't answer him about it.
[SPEAKER_01]: And it turns out he still hasn't told Alice in the paintings.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, but I'm like, didn't I thought I wanted to say something?
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't really understand.
[SPEAKER_01]: But it is.
[SPEAKER_01]: Rufus, the check-up babe, right?
[SPEAKER_01]: It's always got left of a, um, of who Lily?
[SPEAKER_01]: It's, it didn't come from Allison, which by the way, I can't believe what her name on the Swipe is Allison Dlerundas.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, they totally skipped that part.
[SPEAKER_01]: I feel she had a thing for older men, but like I was like, okay, like literally when I hear, okay, well, we'll get to that in a second.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'll we'll get there.
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, Dan's like, by the way, I don't think Mom likes surprise.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh yeah, because we were supposed to hand the liver it.
[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm going to show up at our house with a check.
[SPEAKER_01]: Can you imagine if you had in the man opens the door?
[SPEAKER_01]: No, I think we got some bruise knuckles, bruise knuckles.
[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't know who are they going to beat from.
[SPEAKER_01]: So Dan's like, how about a phone call instead?
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, Mom doesn't really like surprises.
[SPEAKER_01]: Remember her 30th birthday with the clown in the llama.
[SPEAKER_01]: And her face is like, [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that didn't go over well.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then goes, yeah, it's a clown was not good.
[SPEAKER_01]: His name was what was his name?
[SPEAKER_01]: Chris Cornel?
[SPEAKER_01]: What was his name?
[SPEAKER_01]: Pennywise?
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you guys know Dot famous.
[SPEAKER_01]: They try to cure me of my fear of clowns by dressing up as one.
[SPEAKER_01]: Just made it worse.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, same thing when Dodge just up a Santa.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, don't make the person who's supposed to offer the kid comfort, the terrifying thing.
[SPEAKER_01]: What if they never forget that?
[SPEAKER_01]: And now you're the, now you're melted into one.
[SPEAKER_01]: Boy, I'm not saying that happened to me, but I'm not saying it didn't.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm saying it happened all right.
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, and so Dan is like don't do that.
[SPEAKER_02]: And Rufus is I'm going to call her first to be safe and Dan I'm only mentioning that line because Dan says What do you think is a joke and he says need some change for that?
[SPEAKER_02]: This is giving feeba feeba feeba [SPEAKER_01]: This episode is getting fever.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to read the chat fever.
[SPEAKER_02]: Phoebe, Circa, third grade.
[SPEAKER_02]: Eight years old, walking up to Empire Music Store on Washington Road, the bag with a bag of coins.
[SPEAKER_01]: Not just grabbing crawling around in the floor, but always.
[SPEAKER_01]: I woke up before in the morning, families all the sleep.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm talking like I'm from Brooklyn today, because I'm doing gossip coil.
[SPEAKER_01]: I just love doing all the IRLs like that.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh yeah, that's just so funny.
[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, Phoebe, sorry about Phoebe.
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think by the way, I'm gonna run the freaking floor.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'll freaking morning.
[SPEAKER_01]: I've only boy to get some wine.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, that's a good one.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'll only boy to get some wine.
[SPEAKER_01]: I can do it three times.
[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry, love that phrase.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm gonna get that dude.
[SPEAKER_01]: And phonetically, of course.
[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, and she's scrounged up all the chains that she could.
[SPEAKER_01]: And, um, and we'll try to buy her by herself.
[SPEAKER_01]: What?
[SPEAKER_01]: What can I buy with this?
[SPEAKER_01]: What can I buy with this?
[SPEAKER_02]: No, and I put a guitar on my way away, and I paid for it in coins, and third grade.
[SPEAKER_02]: That's so fun.
[SPEAKER_01]: And it is very shout out, Joe, because he did not have to take my coins, but he did.
[SPEAKER_01]: Do you think Dad secretly went on a murder check?
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I should ask him.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think he did.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I think everybody thought it was kind of cute.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, of course, it's cute, but also God.
[SPEAKER_02]: And they all take a picture with me, and I got a union jack case for it.
[SPEAKER_02]: This was so my aesthetic at the time.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, red.
[SPEAKER_02]: It was like, fuck America.
[SPEAKER_02]: A red Gibson SG in a union jack hard case classic.
[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm holding it with a fedora and a brown north face on.
[SPEAKER_02]: And all of what dad calls my uncles around me as I'm holding it.
[SPEAKER_01]: But you're gonna see her uncles, they're like all fully grown men with kids, uncles, a lot of him, they are, yeah, but they're not my uncles.
[SPEAKER_01]: They are my, okay, hey Joe, if you heard that, you can be mine, don't be offended by a Phoebe said, it's always taking your foot in your mouth as you know.
[SPEAKER_01]: And with those Dan, we go to school in Serena, as fishing around with Jenny.
[SPEAKER_02]: I need answers and I need them now and okay, hey Jenny, bad sibling to learn Jenny, but also I'm like I know that she but I'm like you really weren't in the loop on what Dan was going to do with his on his date with Serena Van der Witzen [SPEAKER_01]: That is sure to damn play hooky today because he needed to go to the bank and he knew it was going to take them All right account is going and he needs to make sure they got it right He's like there's a power outage.
[SPEAKER_01]: They have to do this by hand This is another fee-feet.
[SPEAKER_01]: I almost set feeba again Okay, if you want to change your name, we'll do it If you say it one more time on this podcast, we're legally changing your name and that's just that And that's just that I used to watch do our no deal in the dark in the basement and on the stool I would probably allow to watch a fee [SPEAKER_02]: And on the stool, I was like, I was setting the mood, like the lights off watching you on a deal.
[SPEAKER_01]: And I had my piggy bank, and I was count my money.
[SPEAKER_01]: She's like, okay, that's a bad, hey, bad deal.
[SPEAKER_01]: Bad, no one listens to me.
[SPEAKER_01]: No one listens to the goyle on the fiddle for her.
[SPEAKER_01]: Me, my boss, for you be sitting in the doorway, with a fedora on, counting my coin cards and stabbing.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like a Phoebe, stop smoking.
[SPEAKER_01]: Phoebe, you're eight.
[SPEAKER_01]: Stop smoking, guys.
[SPEAKER_01]: The garrers.
[SPEAKER_01]: This is an healthy, and I love the smell.
[SPEAKER_01]: Smells like cherry wood tobacco nothing like it.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm smoking the rings rings are coming out of my ear blowing Oh, I'm really good So anyway, because okay Jenny has no idea what this date is because Serena's like what I don't know how to dress for surprise But is this not I'm like tell me Serena's fetishizing Dan home for you for real Not that like me because she literally is like okay, are we going to a secret club to see the best and sign ban in Brooklyn or a career the heart exhibit in tumble [SPEAKER_00]: Isn't the New York film festival still going on?
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm trying to tell you something Zarina it's going to sound completely I'm not going to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able to be able [SPEAKER_00]: Have you ever seen me when I'm on this uniform?
[SPEAKER_00]: Jeans in a tea.
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm laid back where I'm a home free.
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm a free kind of free.
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm in Brooklyn.
[SPEAKER_00]: So what we do?
[SPEAKER_00]: Can't you smell it?
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: I know.
[SPEAKER_01]: It just is so funny that like the way that later on Serena, too.
[SPEAKER_01]: And she's such a bitch when it's like not the Dan Home for experience she thought it's okay.
[SPEAKER_01]: By the way, Serena, I want you don't know.
[SPEAKER_01]: Most like real first dates that people go on feel exactly like this for you're like up and you're not who I thought I wanted you to be and this probably won't happen again.
[SPEAKER_01]: You're just experiencing a normal date.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's what you're experiencing.
[SPEAKER_01]: But the lesson really is just be yourself.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's what you're so at the lesson anyway.
[SPEAKER_01]: Eric calls, and Jenny says, tell them I say hi.
[SPEAKER_00]: And she says, hi.
[SPEAKER_00]: That's what she says.
[SPEAKER_02]: And so we're gonna tell, hi, Jenny says hi.
[SPEAKER_02]: Hi, Jenny.
[SPEAKER_02]: Hi, back.
[SPEAKER_02]: This is a little wave from the bed.
[SPEAKER_02]: Also, but this poor actor, you have the selfie be see later.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god, I'm very screwed.
[SPEAKER_01]: Get me out of here.
[SPEAKER_01]: For New Year's, Phoebe and our Baltic in similar parts of the post.
[SPEAKER_02]: And the mega stalker, she's like, it's great.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then there's some mornings where you're just, you just sort of scream, get me out of here.
[SPEAKER_01]: exactly that's Eric's whole vibe in this and this episode and he's supposed to be being discharged today for the weekend and he says that his baggage is already the girl.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to go speaking of his mom there.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh this again.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh this again.
[SPEAKER_02]: Great.
[SPEAKER_02]: And also hey, Serena, we're going to have a really great moment with Lily the only me going to see a new dough and she's a good mom.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and you suck in you actually there you suck.
[SPEAKER_01]: So Blair is with the girls in the courtyard.
[SPEAKER_01]: She overhears Serena on the phone with Eric.
[SPEAKER_01]: And as like Eric's coming home, it's perfect timing.
[SPEAKER_01]: It gives your mom and brother a long time together while you are at the sleepover getting drunk on Shnops.
[SPEAKER_01]: Here's the things Serena.
[SPEAKER_01]: I know you didn't forget about the sleepover.
[SPEAKER_01]: I, and I, and I know you know after what happened last episode at the photo shoot, you're on thin freaking ice, and I know you know that you should have been like, hey, Dan, you'll understand you do this Saturday.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, like, you actually could do it any night of the week because your serena and your mom wants to do whatever you want.
[SPEAKER_01]: even though you don't want to believe that.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, even though, yeah, exactly.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's all the reasons that you don't like your mom or the reasons that you're allowed to do whatever you want.
[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
[SPEAKER_01]: But I do think like, I know Blair is crazy, but I'm like, Serena, bad friend.
[SPEAKER_01]: So, acting like you didn't know.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't believe there weren't, like, [SPEAKER_01]: Like hand delivered invitations for this, you know what I mean like yeah, and you've been going every year since 2000 It's like the 10th year of it probably like I don't know.
[SPEAKER_01]: I would be so mad at Serena of our Blair.
[SPEAKER_01]: What new what 100% and honestly Blair takes it Relatively well I was shocked by how well she takes it.
[SPEAKER_01]: I also love layers outfit here and I I love that she says [SPEAKER_02]: So Reed says, I completely forgot about the sleepover, and she says, Swara, sleepovers are so soft for a year.
[SPEAKER_01]: When there's a water of Swara, there is nothing else in the calendar.
[SPEAKER_01]: And there's nothing else on social calendar.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's ready to go.
[SPEAKER_01]: The plan is done.
[SPEAKER_01]: Remember the guy you've remembered is a human?
[SPEAKER_01]: The state is unbreakable.
[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe we can stop by later.
[SPEAKER_01]: Who said Dan was invited?
[SPEAKER_01]: It's an all-girl sleepover, Dan can't come.
[SPEAKER_01]: You're not going to stop by later now.
[SPEAKER_02]: Number just lie in she's not a stop along the way.
[SPEAKER_02]: She's the.
[SPEAKER_01]: I love this line.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's so good.
[SPEAKER_01]: Blair goes.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not a stop along the way.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm a destination and if you refuse to attend, I'm going to have to find her replacement.
[SPEAKER_01]: Girls, the waiting list.
[SPEAKER_01]: I love the old ones.
[SPEAKER_01]: Girls, the waiting list.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like she is on it.
[SPEAKER_01]: But Serena leaves an eyebrow that I was actually in press with her Blair is not bothered.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like she even waves goodbye to her.
[SPEAKER_01]: Which, which floored me.
[SPEAKER_00]: And then she sees Jenny.
[SPEAKER_00]: Little Jenny Humphrey.
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know why I didn't think I'd be before.
[SPEAKER_00]: You have no plans.
[SPEAKER_01]: You'll come tomorrow, right?
[SPEAKER_01]: So, funny, bunny.
[SPEAKER_01]: Jenny, no, chill.
[SPEAKER_01]: Me?
[SPEAKER_01]: Really?
[SPEAKER_01]: And everybody else goes, huh?
[SPEAKER_01]: Really?
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Isn't they say that she's not gonna last an hour?
[SPEAKER_01]: Not a minute more.
[SPEAKER_01]: Blair goes across first sleepover.
[SPEAKER_01]: Something she'll never forget.
[SPEAKER_01]: Let's make sure of it.
[SPEAKER_01]: There are so many good Blair lines in this one, you know, when I'm looking for like iconic gossip girl quotes to be posting and stuff, it's like genuinely hard because that they're just all Blair.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm like, these were being written for her because they said, and you know, who else has them Georgina, they're just so few, you know, like she just don't get as much Georgina screen time, but two of them together.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god.
[SPEAKER_01]: We go to the awestroff and Lily says that [SPEAKER_01]: So fast he said you can come home, not that you should.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I understand why Lily is scared But I am like this would be the weekend to do it.
[SPEAKER_02]: You don't have a massive Ivy week event But I always think it's bizarre That we're in this work like I don't understand how he is expected to like start like feeling better Yeah, when this is the constant push and pull like he clearly doesn't want to be in here.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah [SPEAKER_02]: I think maybe we are at a point where we could move him back to the like start Yeah, assimilating him back.
[SPEAKER_01]: Let's have him doing daily therapy here.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, exactly.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's home.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's not going to go.
[SPEAKER_01]: He has the tutor that comes to the house And then he comes to the Allstraft Center actually.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because he's five days a week.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's literally this is the issue.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he's just getting more and more.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's being really like shot in here.
[SPEAKER_01]: And he says, if you still think I'm keeping you here, that just proves how not ready you are to come home.
[SPEAKER_01]: And in this moment, it is more like Lily's not right.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like she's just so scared and we see later when she tells the rest of herself.
[SPEAKER_01]: She's like, I don't know how to make sure this isn't happening again.
[SPEAKER_01]: And I know if you're here, you're safe.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's where she could figure out a way to articulate it to the kid.
[SPEAKER_01]: I know.
[SPEAKER_01]: I just think they're never going to understand it.
[SPEAKER_01]: But Eric understands more than Serena, which is crazy.
[SPEAKER_01]: Because Eric's the one in there.
[SPEAKER_01]: So Dan comes to fix Serena up.
[SPEAKER_01]: She's just completely casual.
[SPEAKER_01]: I just have to say, Dan gives her an up and down and says, Am I early?
[SPEAKER_01]: I would go myself.
[SPEAKER_01]: You want to go.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'd be like, and she says, no.
[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm just raining lately and then you're kind of just have any of your ones single gunshot and Dan's like, well, on to the next one, he treats wear, spotted, Serena Vanerwitz and dead as a donation.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then she, in any court Blair and said, hey, busy tonight, yeah, I would driver.
[SPEAKER_01]: Also, we hate what Dan is wearing.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's sure to so buddy is like this, this button up collar, she're all the way to the top of the tie.
[SPEAKER_01]: And it just is tiny, little paisley pattern.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's like, it's like this time, but like a bad version of it.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, hey, you look like a fish out of water.
[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously, this is not how you dress.
[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I mean?
[SPEAKER_01]: But it is the suit that Dan Humphrey would wear.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, did you notice her scarf?
[SPEAKER_01]: Her single thread?
[SPEAKER_01]: She is, I am not surprised if you didn't notice it because it is one single thread hanging from her neck.
[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, what is that?
[SPEAKER_01]: Is that her mic?
[SPEAKER_01]: Like hanging down to her scarf?
[SPEAKER_01]: She's cool.
[SPEAKER_01]: She's chilly.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's crazy.
[SPEAKER_01]: So anyway, she's going to go change into something less comfortable.
[SPEAKER_01]: And this isn't a time to be able to change.
[SPEAKER_01]: What do you think you guys were, you're just being she's in a sailor outfit.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like her, she's got a nautical striped tank top that's like cut out, like cut out with tension.
[SPEAKER_01]: And she's in floods.
[SPEAKER_01]: I know.
[SPEAKER_01]: And she's in fucking floods.
[SPEAKER_01]: What are you going by phishing?
[SPEAKER_01]: So Dan does stand by the open door and they talk, they're talking about it.
[SPEAKER_02]: And the everything in Dan puts his foot in his mouth.
[SPEAKER_02]: Again, he goes, because she's like, yeah, it's kind of like a government experience.
[SPEAKER_01]: Experiment.
[SPEAKER_01]: And he's right up shut the fuck up.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I don't know many government experiences that would have a- You can not say experiment if I put a gun to your head.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't have any government experiments that have applause meant TV and a house made.
[SPEAKER_01]: TV TV is less TV.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like if you ever- Oh, is that any sweetie?
[SPEAKER_01]: I'd freaking love for no reason.
[SPEAKER_01]: I've actually never seen a movie she said when I when I guys as a favorite actress is in Sweden, I'm like, okay, slow it.
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, and when I say name a woman and you say the Sydney, Sweden, I'm like, and well, of a name to make them around back.
[SPEAKER_01]: Take them around back.
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, lots of violence on this episode apparently.
[SPEAKER_01]: So Dan is also peeping, by the way.
[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, Dan, close your eyes.
[SPEAKER_01]: You don't need to look in here.
[SPEAKER_01]: And Lily Wachsen, this is so funny to me, does Serena know you're here.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's like, she, yeah, she let me in.
[SPEAKER_01]: At least I think she did a blonde girl about yay, I'm like, also, she's down.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then she's much taller than you.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then Lillie says, oh, it has jokes.
[SPEAKER_01]: Cute.
[SPEAKER_01]: She does gonna have a smorgarner phase.
[SPEAKER_01]: it she cracks me up the way she's just like kind of gets a kick out of this and I I feel like later on in this episode she totally would have jumped rufus's bones if not for the answerina, but not that it's not for later.
[SPEAKER_01]: So there's a go where you're going and he says I thought we do walking toward the Brooklyn Underground and I introduced her to my friends the mole people they're great except the only ever left overs.
[SPEAKER_01]: Is that a reference?
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not getting because it is funny if it's not.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think it is.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's way easier for me to be like people.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to enter into the mall people.
[SPEAKER_01]: They're great, but they only eat leftovers.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's funny.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think what are mall people?
[SPEAKER_02]: Like the people who live in like the abandoned subway stations and stuff.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: They have like a whole society down there, I think.
[SPEAKER_02]: Wow, so that Sudan makes this joke about and then he's like, sorry, my mom makes a joke that I've never met a word that I didn't like, which is that's seem to be the case.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, but then he says, you know what else I like?
[SPEAKER_01]: Your daughter.
[SPEAKER_01]: I really like your daughter, which is a cute woman.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then Serena standing in the door where like big bird.
[SPEAKER_01]: She just like, [SPEAKER_01]: Like he goes, I really like your daughter's in the doorway, wearing a clubbing dress.
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, okay, because again, I just, he's like, oh my god, you look more beautiful than I could imagine.
[SPEAKER_01]: I can't believe we're wearing a prom.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like he treats her like she's in a full wedding gown.
[SPEAKER_02]: And then we have a Georgia Cornel classic because she looks at Serena and says, [SPEAKER_01]: Are you so you're not gonna wear that with that are you she's like a huge brown tote bag The same bag she was carrying before so like it does literally the bag She packed though for the date and she doesn't clearly because she leaves her phone behind Yeah, she's on.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's just so something so it's like a what I love my phone.
[SPEAKER_01]: Are you on all right?
[SPEAKER_01]: I can't fucking talk today.
[SPEAKER_01]: You're right.
[SPEAKER_02]: Are ya and Serena are you?
[SPEAKER_01]: dance cousin uh huh they're gonna get along famous oh my god serino just wait until you go to Thanksgiving at the home free residence in my god you're gonna love her you're going to love her you guys are giving me like let's just throw our cellular devices in a lot of it as we're gonna get along great unfortunately but they're also going to be like kind of a really good one up in yes [SPEAKER_01]: We are going to obviously once we've met more characters, we're going to have to do like maybe after season one, one of our Tuesday episodes will be like a pretty little liar exactly.
[SPEAKER_02]: So we switch versus up with such a mom thing to say, you're not going to marry that with that area, but she's right.
[SPEAKER_01]: She's 100%.
[SPEAKER_01]: She is the bad mom terrible, right?
[SPEAKER_02]: But it is.
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, it's the worst feeling in the world.
[SPEAKER_02]: You walk down nearly, yes, a pair of shoes.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, you know, what though?
[SPEAKER_01]: I would actually be fine with it.
[SPEAKER_01]: If mom is doing what Lily is doing here, which is pulling a brand new designer clutch out of a shopping actually bought today and giving it to Serena, I'd be like, oh, you know what, mom, let's stay home and hang out.
[SPEAKER_01]: I love you so much.
[SPEAKER_02]: And then Serena finds out that Eric is, is quote, too tired to come home tonight.
[SPEAKER_01]: Serena's like, this is so classic you.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they're going to talk about it later.
[SPEAKER_01]: Dude, this next part.
[SPEAKER_01]: Actually, like this.
[SPEAKER_01]: Give me such a physical visceral reaction to how awkward it is.
[SPEAKER_00]: Again, you know, walks outside and goes, oh my god, oh that's what you want to understand.
[SPEAKER_00]: I love that's what I said.
[SPEAKER_00]: So one of my favorites.
[SPEAKER_00]: Someone's in Italy on the best book.
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm on my job because she says that's a driver's or four, but where are the helmets?
[SPEAKER_01]: Dan is watching the whole time just letting this happen.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god, and then the driver that he basically had to take a mortgage out on the on the poverty law to get the driver.
[SPEAKER_01]: The driver's like Mr.
Humphrey and Serena realizes they're not taking the best, but incredibly bold of you to assume that Dan Humphrey brought you this mint green vespal for the thing about this is like, if I'm Serena, I immediately realize we're having a different kind of date and I think it's sweet [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, like I he knows that you're used to the Nate Archibalds and I think what it is is Serena's like wait a minute I thought I was doing a really good job of projecting that I'm not like other girls Like I thought you knew I'm different.
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't care about these things.
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not a material girl I'm literally skipping the Waldorf swore a like this wouldn't be less upper East side and more Brooklyn [SPEAKER_00]: She's like, honestly when I'm in Brooklyn, I'm like, you know, how some people say they were born in a long time.
[SPEAKER_00]: I was born in the wrong freakin' burrow.
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, drama was fun.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, she's like, is that it on?
[SPEAKER_00]: Drama was like, well, gonna book then.
[SPEAKER_00]: I actually invented this place.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's way I learned how, oh, I managed and how to speak.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's by my accent's booklin'.
[SPEAKER_01]: Of course.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's drama drama recording.
[SPEAKER_02]: So we go to the sleepover, Dorota, Greets, Jenny.
[SPEAKER_01]: She's a facilitator and it's almost like Dorota knows what's going to happen and she is like, hey, girlie, you can if you need to cry or come hug your doll later, you know where to find Don't worry.
[SPEAKER_01]: I cry.
[SPEAKER_00]: She's like because you're gonna and if I'm not, if I'm in the crying room, just join me.
[SPEAKER_01]: And I actually have a great Kleenex that are arched.
[SPEAKER_01]: They don't meet your nose right there.
[SPEAKER_01]: They got them for me for Christmas.
[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, she doesn't mind the crying as long as I don't she doesn't see it.
[SPEAKER_01]: Jenny brought her own sleeping bag.
[SPEAKER_01]: Hello, kitty computer.
[SPEAKER_01]: And all the girl she walks in and sees that there are full beds for every girl and the living room and so do her.
[SPEAKER_01]: It was like, I'll take this.
[SPEAKER_01]: And it is like, I know Blair has a scheme, but also Blair being so excited to see Jenny.
[SPEAKER_01]: It just feels real and imagine how Jenny must have felt.
[SPEAKER_01]: So we get a little gossip girl moment where she says, here's a tip, Jenny.
[SPEAKER_01]: The faster you rise, the harder you fall.
[SPEAKER_01]: Hope that Hello Kitty's sleeping bag doubles as a parachute.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and I liked it.
[SPEAKER_00]: I'll do the voice over if you could just give me the percussion or after.
[SPEAKER_01]: For sure.
[SPEAKER_01]: So we go to the restaurant.
[SPEAKER_01]: We're all we're going to have an order in three and a order of $78.
[SPEAKER_01]: I do get the echo immediately from Dana's gang.
[SPEAKER_01]: What every single thing on the videos read it.
[SPEAKER_01]: There are descriptions on menus.
[SPEAKER_01]: And if there aren't, you're not just guests.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: just ordered something, but you kind of know what it is.
[SPEAKER_01]: Serena, if you were so, I mean, and maybe this was, it was never mind.
[SPEAKER_01]: Serena, if you're on this date with Dan and you think he's so poor, why are you?
[SPEAKER_01]: Because she knows she's paying for it.
[SPEAKER_01]: I guess that's true.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think she decided when she walked in, because she was paying for it.
[SPEAKER_01]: Which, this is a moment where I know it upsets Dan, but I do think that was sweet of Serena.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's genuinely a sweet moment.
[SPEAKER_01]: No, I agree, it's a good moment.
[SPEAKER_01]: And it's honestly, it, this episode, [SPEAKER_01]: we see a lot of like both of their eldest daughter come out like Dan and Serena you know what I mean like they both it's funny that both of their dates so far have involved drama with their younger siblings and like they do show that like they are willing to drop whatever to go either for their siblings and show up that way but it's also like that moment of I feel like most and you probably feel as way too [SPEAKER_01]: Like, you're just always kind of like anticipating the moment that makes things uncomfortable or whatever and like your job as an older sibling is to like manage the manage the vibes like make sure that everything is kind of if you can see that something can go wrong and you could fix it you just do it right because it'll be better so I feel like that's her mot like what she's doing here actually like I'm just going to like take [SPEAKER_01]: care of this.
[SPEAKER_01]: I also think at a lot of really fancy restaurants they don't put prices in the menu.
[SPEAKER_01]: Uh-huh.
[SPEAKER_01]: So I think she knew like I wonder if the prices have been in the menu if she wouldn't have ordered that because she wouldn't have even won a day and like be stressed about at the whole dinner.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's a good point.
[SPEAKER_01]: Because he has to ask the waiter how much what she also like.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, no, like it's just so awkward she gets up and go to the bathroom, but also she's not being nice though Is the other thing that she's true like if you're gonna do this and you know it's gonna hurt as pride and he's like the bathroom is over there She's like I know I fucking know I don't need I don't need an escort Jesus Christ.
[SPEAKER_01]: Stay there.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god [SPEAKER_01]: Like she, I don't know.
[SPEAKER_01]: She acts like she's just really bothered by him.
[SPEAKER_01]: And it takes the entire meal before he's like, did I do something like what's wrong?
[SPEAKER_01]: Because he finds out she paid the check and he is upset about it.
[SPEAKER_01]: And she's like, I just like don't want you to spend your money here.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like I wanted a Dan Humphrey date, just not the date that you thought I wanted.
[SPEAKER_01]: And so we go to sleep over and Jenny is trying on all these different clothes.
[SPEAKER_01]: This song had me in a chokehold.
[SPEAKER_01]: It was also in the Brats movie, of course.
[SPEAKER_01]: Shoutout, Janelle Parrish.
[SPEAKER_01]: It, the, and then because I'm a rock star, I loved it.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my God.
[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, Jenny's trying on her looks.
[SPEAKER_01]: One is to be on say, one is to marry K and one is to freaking in a Montana.
[SPEAKER_01]: What you know, Jenny feels the most comfortable in.
[SPEAKER_01]: For sure.
[SPEAKER_01]: For sure.
[SPEAKER_01]: And it's giving it.
[SPEAKER_01]: She would feel most comfortable on Hannah Montana the movie.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: A hundred percent.
[SPEAKER_01]: Hannah, Hannah Montana has a strip down a little bit.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, absolutely.
[SPEAKER_01]: And she's gone back to her roots.
[SPEAKER_01]: Mm-hmm.
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so one thing I always, always, always have had to say about that.
[SPEAKER_01]: So Jenny comes down in a yellow dress.
[SPEAKER_01]: Mm-hmm.
[SPEAKER_01]: It is kind of funny because I feel like Serena is very often like the golds and yellows and obviously like later on they think Jenny is Serena when she's described a certain way but like that is really it's almost like you're dressing her up to fully just replace.
[SPEAKER_02]: Wait it's honestly very, it's so much similar to what the way that we see Jenny's art go throughout the show it's like Hannah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, like when Ali comes back.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, very amount of is like I have to change everything about myself Hmm, and she just kind of makes herself into a copy of What she thinks Alice and would but she knew but then when Ali comes back she she puts the the black street Yeah, and she starts and she starts thinking about she starts wearing her freaking combat boots Am I god?
[SPEAKER_01]: Am I god Jenny and Hannah were and they were they were chatting?
[SPEAKER_01]: They were chatting [SPEAKER_01]: and they are playing in these outfits out together.
[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, yeah, so Jenny comes out in this yellow dress, which I think looks like a pretty average homecoming dress.
[SPEAKER_01]: Later on, they're talking about it.
[SPEAKER_01]: We can like a cocktail napkin and like this is not a slutty dress.
[SPEAKER_01]: No, this dress could be so much slutty.
[SPEAKER_01]: But the other thing I need to say is, and I wonder if you notice this, there are two like super long pieces of fabric that hang down, that I was always like tie that.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't have notice ever do and every time I watched this episode, I was like [SPEAKER_01]: Are you not supposed to fucking tie that?
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, when I buy a dress that has those long things that might not supposed to tie them, I think you are.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's, I think, but it's just, you know, certainly they would have if she was about, I don't know.
[SPEAKER_01]: I just, I wonder if anyone also noticed that I'm going to post a picture of it, but this is haunted me for years, right?
[SPEAKER_02]: There's not a feel quite right.
[SPEAKER_02]: And Blair says, well, fashion knows not of comfort.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, she goes as much as it always has.
[SPEAKER_02]: Your face looks like it's going to a bar mitzvah.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then she offers Jenny and Martini, but before we continue the renovation, hilarious to call this makeover a renovation.
[SPEAKER_01]: So funny.
[SPEAKER_02]: And Jenny says, oh, that's okay.
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't like vodka.
[SPEAKER_01]: And Blair says, well, that's nice because it's Jen.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's it should be.
[SPEAKER_02]: So, and then we're going to play it through Dare and Jenny says, oh my god, I love Truth or Dare.
[SPEAKER_02]: I once had to eat an entire bag of marshmallows.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's nice, but that's not how we play.
[SPEAKER_01]: And she has such a funny, her face changes from a smile too.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's not how we play.
[SPEAKER_01]: And she's like, well, then how the fuck do you play?
[SPEAKER_01]: Also, if you do notice, Jenny's a bangle.
[SPEAKER_01]: She has only like a white acrylic bangle.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's super thick and has multicolored rhinestones on it.
[SPEAKER_01]: No, but that's gross.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like no way, Blair Waltar, I think that out.
[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, so they're going to start playing.
[SPEAKER_01]: And we see that the first pair happens, Kodi and Ez are making out.
[SPEAKER_01]: And Jen, he's like, I think I'm gonna go drool.
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, how they're gay.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think they're gay when Bronwyn and Whitney kiss.
[SPEAKER_01]: Heather, he's like, what?
[SPEAKER_01]: Ah!
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm woke, but not like this.
[SPEAKER_01]: I might be a bad Mormon, but I'm not a bad Christian.
[SPEAKER_01]: Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god.
[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, Rufus is shutting down at the gallery.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's like, should I call my wife?
[SPEAKER_01]: He calls her.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I answer the phone and he hangs up.
[SPEAKER_01]: And he's like, He's a big number.
[SPEAKER_02]: There are people on this earth that tonight on New Year's Eve are gonna be doing what Rufus is doing right now.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, they're gonna see you on New Year's Eve.
[SPEAKER_01]: And they're gonna get mad when someone else answers the phone, and it's like, it's a party babe.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's New Year's Eve.
[SPEAKER_01]: Why are you even calling?
[SPEAKER_01]: Why are you calling us as a landline anyway?
[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, so then he calls back and he's like, I must have the wrong number.
[SPEAKER_01]: No, he did not.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's, it's her restress.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's Allison's mistress who answered the phone, a man.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's a live-a-wild.
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, it's a live-a-wild.
[SPEAKER_01]: She's like, babe, is the dressing ready?
[SPEAKER_01]: And we, and we told you about this, so this shouldn't be a surprise to you.
[SPEAKER_01]: So, we're back to the worst date ever.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, we already kind of went over all of this.
[SPEAKER_01]: But basically, he's now going to take her on a real Dan Humphrey date.
[SPEAKER_01]: And we got asked to know, boy, lighter than air.
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, they're walking on air!
[SPEAKER_00]: As they walk out of there, because Termina's going to get a freaking real Brooklyn date, a real Dan Humphrey date.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I don't remember.
[SPEAKER_02]: So, we go back to the sleepover and Blair sees the Jenny.
[SPEAKER_02]: You got to talk from Eric.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, this is just in prison.
[SPEAKER_01]: Give me out of here.
[SPEAKER_01]: And a selfie of Eric with his hand in his hair.
[SPEAKER_01]: And doing it, the biggest dreamy could possibly freaking do.
[SPEAKER_01]: He is going to recreate.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then we're going to buzz out.
[SPEAKER_01]: So you can get a picture of it because it was so weird.
[SPEAKER_01]: I tried to take a picture of it when it happened.
[SPEAKER_01]: It wouldn't let me.
[SPEAKER_01]: And it was like, you have to get your own.
[SPEAKER_01]: It was like, if you want to show someone what this looks like, you have to recreate yourself.
[SPEAKER_01]: Right, right, right, right, right.
[SPEAKER_01]: But we realize, Eric didn't go home for the weekend.
[SPEAKER_01]: And Blair's like, oh, [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, we also are turning.
[SPEAKER_01]: She tells Isabelle to take the girls to Miss Conti and she's going to meet them there and we have Blair and Jenny alone and she's like, I dare you to jailbreak Eric.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's perfect.
[SPEAKER_01]: You want in.
[SPEAKER_01]: He wants out.
[SPEAKER_01]: What's it going to be?
[SPEAKER_01]: Do you where die little Jay?
[SPEAKER_01]: Let's do it and then Jenny does a big rock star kick and kicks over one of the clothing box and and Blair's like jump out the window.
[SPEAKER_01]: Now Jenny jump out the fucking window dare change my dare dare jump out the window.
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I used to Fucking love the scene of Blair.
[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, and that's an actress and that's a real life actress Emmy Nom in coming.
[SPEAKER_01]: She's so funny with the scene of the off-rofts center.
[SPEAKER_01]: Blair, don't you think?
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you don't think so.
[SPEAKER_01]: No, it's not for me, but why don't you think it's funny?
[SPEAKER_01]: It just doesn't do for me.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think the, like, I hate when lipstick is smeared like that, too.
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I wasn't distracted by that.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think she's being hilarious.
[SPEAKER_01]: Here's what she does, guys.
[SPEAKER_01]: She goes, I have a problem.
[SPEAKER_01]: I have a very big problem.
[SPEAKER_01]: But Jenny walks into Eric's room and is like we're going to get you out of here and he's like put the doctors and then that's when we cut to Blur's Distracting the nurse at the front desk and the nurse is like, what have you taken?
[SPEAKER_00]: He was caffeine, nicotine, and I mean GHPP's BLC, guys Pan as Pan.
[SPEAKER_00]: All the Pan's really, no, I don't discriminate.
[SPEAKER_00]: And then the girl is like, all right, I'm going to go get a doctor.
[SPEAKER_01]: Are you saying Meredith?
[SPEAKER_01]: And a lot of cappuccino.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, so Meredith marks, but it's so funny because at the moment, the girl goes to get the doctor.
[SPEAKER_01]: Blair grabbed her purse.
[SPEAKER_01]: The girl's going to steal it from her.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I just like a little funny moment like that.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then Blair rushes into get Eric and she says, I heard you're a board and I figure I owe you one.
[SPEAKER_01]: And I will say also, I just do love Blair and Eric's relationship to I agree, um, Blair Long's for a gay bus friend, totally.
[SPEAKER_01]: So it really gets the call that Eric is missing, and they say that he left someone young, blonde and beautiful.
[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, that's straight up.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think anybody, when someone calls and says, [SPEAKER_01]: Your son's missing from these mental rehabilitation centers.
[SPEAKER_01]: I just don't think beautiful is one of the adjectives.
[SPEAKER_01]: He left in their way.
[SPEAKER_01]: He left for the freaking dime piece.
[SPEAKER_02]: Good on you, Eric.
[SPEAKER_01]: Good on you.
[SPEAKER_01]: You didn't take him for a player, honestly?
[SPEAKER_01]: Wonder if he was queer.
[SPEAKER_01]: But no, he allowed us in a young, well, I didn't smoke and freaking hot, I mean it's very beautiful.
[SPEAKER_01]: She may be 14, so I'll just say she's a really beautiful young girl, I won't say that she was freaking jail by it, which is what she was dressed like, just like you know.
[SPEAKER_01]: We'll get that later, so Lily calls to me now, she left her phone at home, of course.
[SPEAKER_01]: Dan and Serena to die bar Phoebe's like get me in for me in coach Phoebe's like okay I wanted a Phoebe connal date.
[SPEAKER_01]: Pool is not for me.
[SPEAKER_01]: Are you bad at it?
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know how to play it.
[SPEAKER_01]: Don't like it.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, you could learn like Serena.
[SPEAKER_01]: No, that's okay.
[SPEAKER_01]: You know Serena's hustling him [SPEAKER_01]: If I remember correctly, Serena's really good at pool, and this is all she's learning.
[SPEAKER_01]: No, she knows how to play already.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I think we'd find out later.
[SPEAKER_01]: I thought it was in this episode, but I do believe we find out later that she already sounds like something she do.
[SPEAKER_01]: You didn't spend an entire summer in Italy on a vest button, like not, and you don't know how to play pool.
[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I mean?
[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like Serena's probably like yeah actually had someone in the mafia teach me how to play pool like a few weekends ago You were busy.
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, like that's just of course you would know and she says okay now.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's my turn Rack him up and I'll buy the soundtrack Yeah, which I can't wait to talk about what her soundtrack is so then roof is gets a call.
[SPEAKER_01]: He answers this is so funny [SPEAKER_01]: Rufus, you always answered the phone like that.
[SPEAKER_01]: That made me laugh so hard.
[SPEAKER_01]: Lilian Rufus or hilarious in this episode.
[SPEAKER_01]: She needs dance, number.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm also like, okay, hey, Rufus, you know your son is on a date with her daughter, just give him, give her your fucking son's family.
[SPEAKER_01]: And also like clearly something's wrong.
[SPEAKER_02]: Like, you, it's not your job as someone else's parent to be like, that's trying to be a deal.
[SPEAKER_01]: She is telling him to be a deal.
[SPEAKER_01]: So like, she does not have to tell you exactly, but like, it's like, even if there wasn't anything wrong, [SPEAKER_01]: My daughter left her phone here and she's on a date with your son and we know each other So like give me your son's number.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's like not a sad thing It's weird that roof is won't give it to her and so she ends up having this household and this household We trust my I I freaking respect my son's privacy.
[SPEAKER_01]: I trust him.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't you know I do not trust your daughter because he lives in Brooklyn.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, great.
[SPEAKER_01]: You know what?
[SPEAKER_01]: I told you this And I think it's exactly the kind of guy that serene should be hanging out with Lill [SPEAKER_02]: So anyway, we go to the club finance bros are trying to get with Blair and she says my answer is normally never say never But I'll make an exception for you.
[SPEAKER_01]: I love you Phoebe, but just like every time you do these iconic What is the mess them up and I didn't that was right?
[SPEAKER_01]: No, it just like the wording was wrong And and I'm gonna and I'm not gonna read it because everyone's gonna be like Caroline give her a break the wording was slightly wrong But like it matters what was wrong about it [SPEAKER_01]: It's my answer is usually you said normally my answer is usually never say never but for you I'll make an exception guys.
[SPEAKER_01]: I got one word wrong.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, you all said I'll make an exception for you So you switch those around.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's okay, but it's like it was written now like for a reason like respective written word You know what I mean?
[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe it's English major.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my fucking boy, I think you say Then she would say read what I wrote.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I wrote that for fair line.
[SPEAKER_01]: You want to you want to put yourself into shoes They read what I wrote [SPEAKER_01]: You're really going to twist the words of a cancer patient by the That is low even for you For you Ellen If that is your real freaking man, you know what everyone you're causing me finché.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's kind of degrading.
[SPEAKER_01]: What if I started calling you pumpy pumpy our pompous how about that?
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, pompous quit the show bitch.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's been enough.
[SPEAKER_01]: He shows name up for you.
[SPEAKER_01]: Is that enough for you?
[SPEAKER_01]: Is that enough for you?
[SPEAKER_01]: Is that enough for you?
[SPEAKER_01]: Is that enough for you?
[SPEAKER_01]: Is that enough for you?
[SPEAKER_01]: Is that enough for you?
[SPEAKER_01]: Is that enough for you?
[SPEAKER_01]: Is that enough for you?
[SPEAKER_01]: Is that enough for you?
[SPEAKER_01]: Is that enough for you?
[SPEAKER_01]: Is that enough for you?
[SPEAKER_01]: Is that enough for you?
[SPEAKER_01]: Is that enough for you?
[SPEAKER_01]: Is that enough for you?
[SPEAKER_01]: Is that enough for you?
[SPEAKER_01]: Is that enough for you?
[SPEAKER_01]: Is that enough for you?
[SPEAKER_01]: Is that enough for you?
[SPEAKER_01]: Is that enough for you?
[SPEAKER_01]: Is that enough for you?
[SPEAKER_02]: Is that enough for you?
[SPEAKER_02]: Is that [SPEAKER_02]: put me in coach.
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I don't even notice.
[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't want to tell anybody that I'm an Emmy award-winning actor, too.
[SPEAKER_01]: No one will even notice if I'm married with Greg.
[SPEAKER_01]: I look a lot like her.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't wear makeup to work because I'm sick.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, but when I do wear makeup, I look spitting image of Meredith Gregg.
[SPEAKER_01]: and I know how to do surgery for real.
[SPEAKER_01]: I've been, I've been operated on enough.
[SPEAKER_01]: I said, I said, leave me a wake for these months.
[SPEAKER_01]: I want to learn.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm ready to learn.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's for work.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like that's what I said when I got surgery done.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's why I don't have a scar.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's why I don't have a scar.
[SPEAKER_01]: Because I watched them do the surgery instead I want to learn.
[SPEAKER_01]: Famously, if you watch the surgery in your wake for a young scar, it's only be going to an anesthesia that you scar.
[SPEAKER_01]: So, and I don't.
[SPEAKER_01]: I do want to say guys.
[SPEAKER_01]: I've read like so many books in the post couple weeks, which is crazy.
[SPEAKER_01]: I read five.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, bragging.
[SPEAKER_01]: But the one I just finished is called Best Offer Wins and the girl who is the main character and the narrator gives massive and she vibes.
[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that you guys would like it.
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, anyway.
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_01]: So we're still paying true to her.
[SPEAKER_01]: It was Conte.
[SPEAKER_01]: And Jenny dares Blair to go make out with the guy and mean it and Blair does it in no freaking problem.
[SPEAKER_01]: Takes me back to college.
[SPEAKER_01]: I used to be like, okay, pick a guy.
[SPEAKER_01]: We're rocking in a bar pick one and they'd be like, Caroline, big pick one.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's a pick one.
[SPEAKER_01]: Caroline, Caroline, you and me.
[SPEAKER_01]: Let's go Caroline, you walk through the barn.
[SPEAKER_01]: She's like, okay, guys, fine pick one.
[SPEAKER_01]: Pick one.
[SPEAKER_01]: Fine.
[SPEAKER_01]: And if you guys are literally going to make out with someone, literally one.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's a miracle I didn't get oral herpes and call it.
[SPEAKER_01]: And just so you guys know you can and just so you guys know if you just make out of people willy nilly, you might.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just telling you that avoid people with open stars is an open sore.
[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe try again tomorrow or in a few days.
[SPEAKER_01]: Give them some news, born and then press her fingers.
[SPEAKER_01]: You can kiss them again another time.
[SPEAKER_01]: probably the option most will be there okay so Blair goes and makes out the guy and then she hears about Amanda his girlfriend Blair little sticky fingers so I bring us wiping took as phone when they were making ow it didn't even say it happened I'm like she's good and like she's good [SPEAKER_01]: The she dares journey to call as girlfriend.
[SPEAKER_01]: You just say that.
[SPEAKER_01]: No, I just said she can't up.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, she dares journey to call as girlfriend.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then she does.
[SPEAKER_01]: And she's like, I just have my tongue on your throat.
[SPEAKER_01]: And he neglected to mention you existed until after.
[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, no, no, no, no.
[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't write this one down because this one's not that iconic.
[SPEAKER_01]: Hi, my name is.
[SPEAKER_02]: Claire, she's like, she's doing this.
[SPEAKER_01]: Jennifer, why were you with her name as Blair?
[SPEAKER_01]: She like has her head like up to, and she's like looking down, she's like looking down, but she's like Claire, Claire's like, okay, so I don't know, I'm like, not in that well, she's gonna just have Jenny.
[SPEAKER_01]: I just have my tongue down your boyfriend's throat.
[SPEAKER_01]: And what is her accent?
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, is like a California accent?
[SPEAKER_00]: I just have my tongue down your throat.
[SPEAKER_00]: I, I just had my tongue on his throne.
[SPEAKER_00]: He neglects it to mention new existence a lot for his over.
[SPEAKER_02]: And you don't talk about kind of recent with her spoon.
[SPEAKER_01]: Until after he was over, I can't do it.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, but it's.
[SPEAKER_01]: Throw, I don't know.
[SPEAKER_01]: But anyway, they tell you.
[SPEAKER_01]: They'll sleep over the freaking ear.
[SPEAKER_01]: They're having a great time.
[SPEAKER_02]: You'll back to the dive bar, Dan Wins, and Oz Promise, to Serena.
[SPEAKER_00]: She's like, ah, I can't believe I keep losing.
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm really so good.
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, my god.
[SPEAKER_00]: But you did say if I kept losing, you would, I could back that ass up and you teach me.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then Caroline say it.
[SPEAKER_01]: This is my song.
[SPEAKER_01]: This is my song.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's Aussie Osborn's mama.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm coming home.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, this is your song.
[SPEAKER_01]: I've never heard this before.
[SPEAKER_01]: Dan, Dan, she's like at the jukebox.
[SPEAKER_01]: She's like, okay.
[SPEAKER_01]: I was like about to say she grew a little on her phone, like what would be like a deep cut for the Steinbarde play.
[SPEAKER_01]: She asked chat, but she doesn't have her phone.
[SPEAKER_01]: So she just somehow pulled this out of the thing.
[SPEAKER_01]: She literally went random mode on the jukebox.
[SPEAKER_00]: And she went up to random mode.
[SPEAKER_00]: And she went up to random mode.
[SPEAKER_00]: And she went up to random mode.
[SPEAKER_00]: And she went up to random mode.
[SPEAKER_00]: And she went up to random mode.
[SPEAKER_00]: And she went up to random mode.
[SPEAKER_00]: And she went up to random mode.
[SPEAKER_00]: And she went up to random mode.
[SPEAKER_00]: And she went up to random mode.
[SPEAKER_00]: And she went up to random mode.
[SPEAKER_00]: And she went up to random mode.
[SPEAKER_01]: And she went up to random mode.
[SPEAKER_01]: And she went up to random mode.
[SPEAKER_01]: And she went up to random mode.
[SPEAKER_01]: And she went up to random mode.
[SPEAKER_01]: And she went up to random mode.
[SPEAKER_01]: And she went up to random mode.
[SPEAKER_01]: And she went up to random mode.
[SPEAKER_01]: And she went up to random mode.
[SPEAKER_01]: And she went up to random mode.
[SPEAKER_01]: And she went up to random mode.
[SPEAKER_01]: And she went up to random mode.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then they get really close that I know they're like just about to kiss almost and she goes Something vibrating in your pocket and I really open your phone like really do you go because you've been trying to get in his pants all night It's obvious.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my girl Rufus is calling and dance like look he wouldn't call.
[SPEAKER_01]: It was an important [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, and Marina's like, oh my god, I thought this date was unplugged.
[SPEAKER_01]: I left my phone at the apartment for a reason.
[SPEAKER_01]: You literally couldn't unplug for one night to be with me.
[SPEAKER_01]: This isn't going to work.
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, what are you gossiping about?
[SPEAKER_01]: Let me call my favorite documentary maker, Carter Basin.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, exactly.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm calling him.
[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, Dan's like, hey, you got to call your brother right now.
[SPEAKER_01]: So we go to the loft, there's a knock, Lily barges in.
[SPEAKER_01]: She goes, I made some calls, turns out none of my people know your people.
[SPEAKER_01]: Dan Humphrey is either an alias or your son as not very popular and she loves going to Brooklyn.
[SPEAKER_01]: She loves, never comes to the upper east side.
[SPEAKER_01]: She is in Brooklyn twice a night.
[SPEAKER_01]: Mm-hmm, she is.
[SPEAKER_01]: And she's like, I'm not going to have any of that liquor that you're having, but non-pandium liquor.
[SPEAKER_01]: I will take some of the eat.
[SPEAKER_01]: Thanks for offering.
[SPEAKER_01]: And I just, I do kind of love this scene because I feel like I'm skipping ahead a little bit, but like them in the kitchen tells us so much about how good they were together, they immediately just like fall back into like the small but not small talk like talking about like actual things, but it's almost like they have this like system that's like muscle memory.
[SPEAKER_01]: making a salad dressing, passing the boat, like, you know what I mean?
[SPEAKER_01]: Like when they just and they're referencing how like Lily needs more salt and he's like, oh, you always had to be in control and just so many things to live, we just keep getting, this is a big episode for clues about like their past and I just, again, I think Rufus and Lily were like meant to be.
[SPEAKER_01]: I agree, even though I can't stand Rufus and I love Lily, but okay.
[SPEAKER_01]: So anyway, we go back to the club, Dan and Serena walk in, they're looking for Jenny and Eric at the same exact time that I thought girlfriend walks in.
[SPEAKER_01]: I thought this was Clair Daines.
[SPEAKER_01]: And you imagine, and Mom goes, oh, I know like I said, she's always playing someone who's just agitated and then I was being or throwing up.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then I thought it was what actresses that played Kate and a sister.
[SPEAKER_02]: And it's neither of them.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's just like, but there's a girl that thought this was her bitch.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's one of those faces.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, who is that?
[SPEAKER_01]: Wait, I just realized it's a man that we're going to get Laura Lee.
[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to get Laura Lee from Vanderpombson.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, my god.
[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I'm talking about?
[SPEAKER_01]: Who does she play?
[SPEAKER_01]: She.
[SPEAKER_01]: goes on a date with Dan, and he put the seat in her hair and her hair starts coming out and clumps at the bar.
[SPEAKER_02]: I remember.
[SPEAKER_02]: Everybody starts fighting because Amanda has come down and she finds her boyfriend and then she's like, which one of these fucking horrors did you make out with?
[SPEAKER_01]: And it's like, I immediately don't trust or like, or enjoy the girl that's not the girl that's not a girl.
[SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's his [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, exactly how were they to know that he was taking she he was flirting with them.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, he's a disgusting piece of shit And also like she so she confronts the guy and then the guy like confronts Blair kind of aggressively and Dan Steps in to like protect her and then Serena tries and Blair's like, I don't need fuck off And me hey, you slut fuck off.
[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, or fuck off [SPEAKER_01]: Um, and then Amanda goes finally something we can all agree on.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, Jenny speaks up.
[SPEAKER_01]: It was actually me who called you and they say so she's the one with the tongue.
[SPEAKER_01]: Not what Dan wanted to hear.
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, and Blair explains that they made out on a dare.
[SPEAKER_01]: And Amanda's like, what are you children?
[SPEAKER_01]: And Dan says pretty much she's 14.
[SPEAKER_01]: And Amanda and the man goes, look, look, look, look, she's dressed like freaking children.
[SPEAKER_01]: She's so funny because he like almost, it's almost like they weren't sure if [SPEAKER_01]: Throw it away.
[SPEAKER_01]: We really want to keep it, but it's a little, can you throw it away?
[SPEAKER_01]: She's, she looks like freaking cute.
[SPEAKER_01]: And he says it like Karen likes acts.
[SPEAKER_01]: He like doesn't move his lips.
[SPEAKER_01]: He she looks like freaking champion.
[SPEAKER_01]: His face turns purple, trying just to go he's out the words.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's so funny.
[SPEAKER_01]: But it's disgusting.
[SPEAKER_01]: You're fucking psycho.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: So Rita and Dan take Jenny and Eric away.
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, go back to the loft.
[SPEAKER_02]: And this is where the cooking scene happens.
[SPEAKER_01]: And Lily finally opens up to what was actually going on with Eric.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_01]: She says he's not a bad kid.
[SPEAKER_01]: Just a lonely one.
[SPEAKER_01]: And Rufus is like, oh, well, how lonely.
[SPEAKER_01]: And she goes lonely enough to try to kill himself.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: And she says, I just don't know what to do to make sure it doesn't happen again.
[SPEAKER_01]: And Rupus is like, well, all you can do is be there for him.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then the phone rings say by the bell, they have, they find out that Janet's are going to have Eric.
[SPEAKER_01]: Everyone's fine.
[SPEAKER_01]: Lily's going to go meet them.
[SPEAKER_01]: But this food isn't going to travel well.
[SPEAKER_01]: And it's a shame to let it go.
[SPEAKER_01]: So they're going to have a little dinner day first.
[SPEAKER_01]: So we go outside the club, Serena's pissed it Blair and Eric.
[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm a low key thought Serena be happy, honestly, that Blair did that.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like I thought she'd be like, yes, it's stick it to me for you.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think the one I think she's pissed.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that she that Blair did it.
[SPEAKER_01]: And like Serena was like, doesn't get to, she's getting into trouble now.
[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
[SPEAKER_01]: She just exactly.
[SPEAKER_01]: She just wanted to be the, have a reason to like, mom, mom, you know what, you just don't get them like I do.
[SPEAKER_01]: You don't know what you need to look at you.
[SPEAKER_01]: I have to go, you know, I don't know.
[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, Eric is like, I wasn't kidnapped, but you wanted to leave and Blair was trying to do me a favor and he says all the trouble that he's in is worth it because they have like a such a great night and he said it was nice to talk to someone who wasn't you were mom and then he looks at Blair no funds and she was not taken.
[SPEAKER_02]: She's standing behind Eric like her fucking lawyers.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, she's like in my clients is okay with the trouble he might get in.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to take the fall.
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, and my client isn't going to be speaking to you right now.
[SPEAKER_02]: Except they do because Eric and Serena kind of like figure out how to get back into their group and like this is what they'll call him.
[SPEAKER_01]: And Blair goes call me call me.
[SPEAKER_01]: And Serena goes, I will.
[SPEAKER_01]: And Eric.
[SPEAKER_01]: Slut.
[SPEAKER_01]: Poor, I was talking to Eric, your brother.
[SPEAKER_01]: As Rina and Eric walk away, Blair stays stationary for one of the club, where you've heard her car, and is like, whore, slut, you look slutty by the way, and that dress, go get tested.
[SPEAKER_01]: Don't call me, I don't know what SED's are contagious with a freaking phone.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to get it through the phone transmitter.
[SPEAKER_01]: My God, slut, Trace the street is massive whore, what?
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, anyway, so Dan is now confronting Jenny, like we're having all our sibling meaning of the mind.
[SPEAKER_01]: She's like, this isn't who you are.
[SPEAKER_01]: Come with me.
[SPEAKER_01]: She's like, I'm going to my friends.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going with my friends.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going with my friends.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm Blair calls her and Jenny goes, look, I know who Blair is.
[SPEAKER_01]: And I know who those girls are.
[SPEAKER_01]: But I know who I am.
[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm not going to forget who I am.
[SPEAKER_01]: Just because I'm going to hang out with.
[SPEAKER_01]: But it's also just because they hang out with them.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, bro, you barely hang out with them.
[SPEAKER_01]: You hang out with them, thrice, maybe.
[SPEAKER_01]: And it's been like accidents.
[SPEAKER_02]: So Dan's gonna go walk with Eric and Serena and Jenny's gonna go with the rest of them.
[SPEAKER_02]: And we go to the exterior of Eleanor Waldorf's store and Blair says, [SPEAKER_01]: break in there.
[SPEAKER_01]: The truth is true that there is still going on.
[SPEAKER_01]: This just in.
[SPEAKER_01]: Truth or dare has gone into overtime looks like no one told little Jay.
[SPEAKER_01]: You don't beat a wall dwarf at her own game.
[SPEAKER_01]: You definitely don't.
[SPEAKER_01]: And so she's gonna have to steal this jacket from the mannequin and burgers.
[SPEAKER_01]: You totally don't have to do it.
[SPEAKER_01]: She's a shame because you've come so far.
[SPEAKER_01]: And she does give Jenny the keys.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like this is barely breaking up.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: It kind of dramatic.
[SPEAKER_01]: the way that this scene like had me in a cold sweat.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I know.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sure.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, my god.
[SPEAKER_01]: As soon as Jenny goes in, the girls do a countdown run away door locks alarm sounds.
[SPEAKER_01]: Uh-huh.
[SPEAKER_01]: And fuck.
[SPEAKER_02]: So you go back to the loft and she will be looking at pictures on rivers as well.
[SPEAKER_02]: Are you still the same guy you were in this picture?
[SPEAKER_01]: And he's like, you weren't even at this picture when I took this picture.
[SPEAKER_01]: You were not that show.
[SPEAKER_01]: She's like, oh, I was.
[SPEAKER_01]: And she starts saying like, every detail about it.
[SPEAKER_01]: She remembers what she was wearing.
[SPEAKER_01]: She remembers like all the things you find out they've traveled the world together.
[SPEAKER_01]: We see the stack of plates that we're just taking away.
[SPEAKER_01]: They did not touch that fucking salad.
[SPEAKER_01]: You just see leaf.
[SPEAKER_01]: I would have eaten it.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like it looked good.
[SPEAKER_01]: They made a homemade cheese or dressing.
[SPEAKER_01]: Gorgeous.
[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, when you look at the plates, I'm like, what the fuck did they eat?
[SPEAKER_01]: Apparently, Lily was like a big photographer, but she gave it, I went to like eight rolls of film that night.
[SPEAKER_01]: Wow girl, she gave it up because, quote, social climbing would be more fulfilling.
[SPEAKER_01]: This moment, imagine this satisfaction Lily is walking home with.
[SPEAKER_01]: Because literally Rufus is like, they're talking about how he doesn't think she was there, he doesn't remember, he doesn't even think she took the photo, she's giving every detail.
[SPEAKER_01]: She goes, they even remember the black dress I was wearing, and he goes, if I remember correctly, it was blue.
[SPEAKER_01]: And she's like, I thought you didn't know how I was in the next moment, because the phone rings.
[SPEAKER_01]: And she really answers it thinking it's the kids and Alice in answers and she's like Rufus and she goes no it's Lily I mean I'm sure she felt up but I also feel like I also felt like she felt bad what she did but she also she feels bad for Rufus but she is going home like yeah fuck you yeah no totally totally there we go Rufus is like don't worry little I don't know her any fucking explanation right now she's just like your daughter freaking slut [SPEAKER_01]: is getting um so Johnny's talking to the cops and she pulls a Blair Waldo or flitter so funny though they're like we need ideas to come on me 14 and I don't have any um that my name is Blair Waldo and this is my mother shop and you can watch me lock up I've got my own set of keys and like that'll prove it and that works mm-hmm [SPEAKER_02]: And she was so Blair Waldoar.
[SPEAKER_02]: It is so Blair Waldoar.
[SPEAKER_02]: So we go back to Dan and Serena and their reminiscing about their sister.
[SPEAKER_02]: They dropped Eric off.
[SPEAKER_02]: They're siblings.
[SPEAKER_02]: But I meant to write it.
[SPEAKER_02]: And she's like.
[SPEAKER_02]: They're talking about Jenny, and Selena does make a good point.
[SPEAKER_02]: She's like, it's not bad that she wants to be friends with the people that she goes to school.
[SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
[SPEAKER_02]: And Dan says, I'm not and she goes, yeah, and if we were, we probably would have met a lot.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and then maybe you would have already kissed me by now.
[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, the other thing though, Dan annoys me so much with this because like, [SPEAKER_01]: He's like, I just didn't think like, what happened to my tomboy little sis?
[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't think she was in having make up face, I'll paint it up, like, like, to your aunties to the freaking heavens.
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, what happened to my freaking tomboy little sis?
[SPEAKER_00]: I used to skateboard with and throw on a freaking pick-skinned and central park.
[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's what he was saying.
[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, so then they stop and kiss in the streets of New York City!
[SPEAKER_01]: And it's like, okay, this is romance.
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, it was the blueprint.
[SPEAKER_01]: It was like, we had our Ezra parking lot and then there was like this, guys.
[SPEAKER_01]: These were the big ones.
[SPEAKER_01]: Don't forget the opening case.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, oh, yeah, sorry, no, that was really the one.
[SPEAKER_00]: You're supposed to go down.
[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, oh my god, and then the door opens in the pub and way and I'm leaving here on my own.
[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, okay, so.
[SPEAKER_01]: Order for you.
[SPEAKER_01]: Don't be boots.
[SPEAKER_01]: Dan Danny, how's it going to say?
[SPEAKER_01]: Rufus is at home listening to his own music because it own records.
[SPEAKER_01]: Except for it's not his own song, obviously, because the music is hearing it.
[SPEAKER_01]: And it's that song that's like, um, [SPEAKER_02]: you know that song.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's the song that plays at this point in the episode.
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so Lily's the author is an attraction on Eric kind of really sweet.
[SPEAKER_01]: We so sweet and she's actually like coming to take him home so we can have a good night sleeping his own bed and she basically just like, I don't know how it's going to work, but like we're going to figure it out.
[SPEAKER_01]: Again, not bad for a bitch who has no maternal bone in her body.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Serena, fuck you.
[SPEAKER_01]: I love this moment.
[SPEAKER_02]: To the world where Jenny shows up, she walks in and she goes, what Blair says?
[SPEAKER_02]: Wow, looks like you came to play after all.
[SPEAKER_02]: Jenny gets catch.
[SPEAKER_01]: That was a thrill as Blair.
[SPEAKER_01]: The keys would have been it.
[SPEAKER_01]: Would have been it.
[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey [SPEAKER_00]: You'll never become in the city again.
[SPEAKER_00]: You stay in Brooklyn.
[SPEAKER_00]: Stay on Brooklyn.
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna bowing down the bridge You never make it back.
[SPEAKER_00]: Over at you take a subway.
[SPEAKER_00]: What's a subway?
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay anyway I'm gonna rush on subway Anyway, so [SPEAKER_01]: So all the girls are asleep and Blair is like, okay, well, you know, which bad is yours?
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, you've earned it.
[SPEAKER_01]: And Jenny's like, no, I'm going home.
[SPEAKER_01]: And Blair says, what do you mean?
[SPEAKER_01]: No one ever goes home from a sleep over there.
[SPEAKER_01]: There's a first for everything.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, and I'm going to be the job if that's okay with you.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then she goes and Blair Monday, lunch on the steps.
[SPEAKER_01]: You know Dunn Taylor Momson is eating this off.
[SPEAKER_01]: She loves it.
[SPEAKER_01]: I like girl.
[SPEAKER_01]: Look at how good we had it like why do you have to go and ruin everything?
[SPEAKER_01]: To make it the slow mo whip ran here On jam can we absolutely are getting what is that actually called the glam bot?
[SPEAKER_01]: She walks into the elevator Why isn't it called the glam cam?
[SPEAKER_01]: probably already exist.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, because it's a robot, though.
[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, passive girl says a debut not seen since Blair's herself.
[SPEAKER_01]: And you watched it.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yep.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Word is Jenny Humphrey killed a Blair Waldorf sleepover.
[SPEAKER_01]: It was a debut, the likes of which haven't been seen since Blair herself.
[SPEAKER_01]: If Blair's got to watch her back, Serena needs to keep an eye on her heart.
[SPEAKER_01]: We hear it may have been stolen by Lonely Boy, putting out an APB, [SPEAKER_01]: That's a girl and then we see Dan and sort of for a rociously making out and the fall was running right into the stream right earlier rain puddles everywhere when did it rain I said not so we're in Wisconsin when it rained I missed that but I was gonna say uh Dan Dan really was excited and the night with a scoss of girl uh message [SPEAKER_01]: He's like Jenny's top dog and so it's freaking down.
[SPEAKER_01]: Not bad for the hunt for his.
[SPEAKER_01]: Not bad for the kids from Brooklyn.
[SPEAKER_01]: No, guys, the kids are Brooklyn.
[SPEAKER_01]: I love being from Brooklyn because I can take over the whole island even from here.
