Speaker 1

Welcome back to the show, my friends.

It's Wrestling with Freddy again.

It's brand new jingle just wrote it.

Let's start the show.

Speaker 2

And now your main event introducing the hosts are wrestling within Freddy Chef did hand Freddy freence tuneor.

Speaker 3

Well?

I hope you guys like that freestyle.

I know a lot of people didn't know that.

Oh my god, Freddy, you can just freestyle jingles like that.

I'm pretty much the top guy in the industry for freestyle jingles, So when people need that kind of stuff just off the dome, they come to me.

Thanks for tuning in.

Appreciate you guys.

Know, Jeff today he's flying thirty three thousand feet send us a picture.

It looked like he was in a weird World War two airplane flying over city that I've never seen before.

It's very strange with no text, no message, just boom, I'm in the air and I hope I land is basically what the picture said to me.

So no, Jeff, today you're stuck with Uncle Freddy.

We'll see what happens.

We're going to talk to week in Wrestling.

Thursday's show, We're going to talk John Cena's final final episode of Wrestling in a Ring on Saturday Night's main event, and we're going to get to all of it right now.

Speaker 1

Oh.

Speaker 3

Also, also just so you guys know, we want to remind you that we have our annual Ask the Federation show, So make sure to get all your questions in for us by Sunday, December fourteenth.

That helps out Alex, our producer, a lot if you do it.

There's two ways to get us your questions.

One super easy.

You can hit us on Instagram.

It's Wrestling with Freddy, pretty easy to remember.

You can submit your questions or you can go to speakpipe dot com forward slash Wrestling with Freddy.

That's speak sp e a K pipe.

You know how to spell pipe dot com forward slash Wrestling with Freddy, And you can send us your voicemail and we'll play it on the air and we'll answer it and you can hear yourself, which I always thought was cool, like back in the day you could call into like radio shows and then you'd hear your voice like a couple minutes later when you requested the song.

And I was young, but I thought it was really cool, and I'm like, yo, mo, mom.

I got on the radio.

You gotta listen.

And we'd listen to the radio and then it pop on and you'd hear me request some like run DMC song or something, and the Tj'd be like, all right, here it comes anyway, you can do that here.

So let's start a Monday night raw Netflix.

By the way, I know you guys heard the Netflix news.

That sucks for movie theaters big time, big time.

I'm not talking smack.

The guy Serrandos was quoted as saying, you know, the movie theaters are dead.

People would rather stay at home.

And the first thing he released publicly or public one of the first things within his public statement that he made was that the theatrical runs will be much shorter than they used to be, which kills movie theaters.

I don't know if you guys know this, but the longer a movie stays in the theater, the bigger cut each week the theater gets from the profits instead of the studio getting all the money in the first three weeks, the next three weeks, if it's really successful like Jurassic Park or Superman or all those kind of movies, then by week four, five, and six, the movie theaters taking a bigger chunk and that's how these people stay in business, especially the smaller ones.

So it sucks for theaters and hopefully we'll see some positive from it.

I don't it sucks for unions, people that are in IATSI and teamsters and things like that, because Netflix often tries to work around unions, which is tough.

It's tough.

But anyway, they've got pro wrestling and they do they make, you know, cool shows they and they do good stuff too.

I just I'm nervous about what's going to happen in the future, so we'll see.

Anyway, we're in Desert Diamond Arena and Glendale, Arizona the Desert Diamond and producer note to Alex, I love that you're putting in the arenas and the dates and all that stuff.

I love that you can leave this in the show if you want to compliment.

But anyway, Desert Diamond Arena, Glendale, Arizona, December first, twenty twenty five.

I was the night bron Breaker cut his promo promo of the week, easily, Promo of the week, barely.

I don't even think he caught a what.

I don't think the crowd even threw the shade at him.

It's so shady man sol as a co I tried to get through a promo and the crowd just freaking sabotaged him.

We'll get into that later in the show.

But bron Breaker went out there and talked some smack and said he's going to ruin Punk's life and kill his ass and take away everything that's important to him.

And you believed it.

He did great.

The promo win a little meta, right, which I don't always love, but in this case, I think it worked.

Where they're talking about like inside stuff in the business where he's like, oh, well, let's see the guy's big and strong and he can wrestle, but can he cut a promo with the big boys?

And he's like, well, consider the promo to be cut.

And so that's like the modern wrestling right where there is no curtain to be pulled back.

You can see backstage.

They have a show focused on the backstage now also on Netflix.

But yeah, he went out there and he nailed it, and he told you he nailed it, which is next level confidence.

He's like, yeah, just so you know, I smashed his promo the way I'm going to smash you, son of a bitch if you, and he threw the mic down and stormed out.

They wrote it a little better than I just executed it.

But yeah, it was the night of Brown Breaker.

It was also the night of the you know, the tournament, the Scena tournament, which I guess is the main storyline, but bron kind of stole the show.

I thought anyway, we had La Knight versus Jay Usso in the John Cena the winner gets seen a tournament.

The last time is now tournament they call it.

Jay Us has been going on a losing streak.

It's not been going well, much to the to the delight of some fans and to the dismay of others.

It's very controversial jay Us, so I've learned that in the last few months some people really just don't like him.

I thought it was just Jeff, but there's I've seen other stuff on Instagram where people aren't loving that Jay won the title.

They didn't they didn't think he deserved it.

I'm on the other side of the fence.

I really thought it was awesome.

I think Jay does a great job.

I think he really connects with the youth, which is the next generation that's going to watch and then hopefully bring their kids to shows.

And that's important.

Not everybody can just be a badass that appeals to thirty five year olds like to.

You have to have a three dimensional roster where you can appeal to as many people as possible, different demographics, different races, different everything's just so you have all the eyeballs.

I mean, that's the corporate model.

Look at some of the champions and it'll tell you why they're sampions, Like they want those audiences to come in.

They don't just want, you know, old guys that grew up watching it and are going to die watching it.

They want new faces, new eyeballs.

So Jayus went crazy after the match, smashed his head into the table, but he's Samo and so the table was like, oh Jesus why, And then backstage he wasn't even trying to talk.

So we'll kind of see the road that he goes on where he's might.

He may feel like he has to become selfish and become a heal and be like Roman when Roman was the tribal chief in order to achieve greatness again.

And then it'll be Jimmy's job to be like, nah, dude, you achieve greatness when you were good and decent, you got to remember that, don't lose yourself that kind of thing, and they can have a cool story and have some fun with that.

Gunther defeated Solo Socoa with Talatanga, but it was no help.

Gunther's the man.

He's from Austria.

He's bilingualist, probably speaks more languages than English and German.

A lot of these Europeans, like Cesaro speaks like seven languages or sorry, Claudio Cassinoli.

But yeah, Gunther gets the win.

It's going to be him versus La Night on Friday Night SmackDown.

We'll get into that match because I thought La Night did something really really awesome.

That's, you know, dangerous to do in wrestling, but maybe not so much in the modern era.

But again we'll get into that later.

So he comes out there and he comes out the winner, and we get our fine our finale.

Next up the Judgment Day and Live Morgan Reunion.

Dominic Mysterio comes out to the ring.

He starts claiming he's the goat because he beat the goat.

You know what, I don't know why we should even argue with him.

I think just let him be the goat.

Maybe that's maybe that's how you get him to stop as you reverse psychology and you go, yeah, man, you are the goat.

And then he's like, wait what, No, Dominic's the man.

I love him.

There's no one here to argue with today about how great, good and decent Dominic is, so I don't want to berag you with it.

But it was more the return of Live and she had a second segment as well where she talks some shit to stephanieva Kaer and just let her know kind of yo, I got hurt.

Otherwise I'm still the man and you're not the man.

I'm the man.

Deal with it.

And she also let everybody know Judgment day is fine.

Look at how great Dominic is.

Gave him a slap, but he liked the slap.

That was kind of putting some fetish stuff out there now on family programming, but he d was into it, so maybe it wasn't a bad slap.

It was a good slap.

And then, like I said, backstage, she got in Stephanie Vakare's face.

We'll get a cool match from them in the future.

Freday and Night SmackDown Baby Friday Night, and.

Speaker 1

I'm feeling all right, because this is Friday Night SmackDown.

Speaker 3

December fifth, twenty twenty five.

The location the Moody Center in Austin, Texas.

The Moody Center, where the mood was.

What was the mood?

They were pretty rowdy the mood.

The mood was rowdy.

They did not want anyone to cut a promo.

Uh.

They let Cody once he got started, but they wanted to be heard in Austin, Texas.

I'm back and forth on the what chance with Solo so CoA or with any wrestler, but it was with Solo on Friday Night SmackDown.

I used to be I used to hate it because I'm like, yo, what are you doing?

Like you're legit damaging someone's career.

Like imagine a stand up comic having to deal with hecklers who just yelled what after every sentence he said, Like it would damage the quality of jokes you could tell, or an actor in a theater just getting, you know, heckled like that.

It's crazy and it was crazy to me that the audience would do that to a sport, to a sport, but to an inner, to a show that they paid money for that they're excited to go see, And then as I got older, I was like, well, maybe they just want to be a part of the show.

And I've been and I've been too tough on them.

And you know, it's interactive theater, it's not theater, so that's not a rule that they have to follow, which is, you know, sit there and enjoy the show they feel they can.

I think more people in comedy clubs heckle now more than ever, or get offended in a different way of heckling, but getting offended and yelling at the comedian, it's you know, storming out that happens, I think more now than ever.

And comics have to be really quick on their feet.

Fortunately, most of them are low key geniuses and can sort of circumnavigate their way through someone's public drunkenness and find another joke there until that person leaves or has escorted out.

But the wrestlers don't get that luxury.

They're having to stay on script with what was written for them, especially in the case of the younger mid card talent.

So now I think I'm going back to man.

I wish you guys would let these characters perform and learn.

Remember, they don't get to go to acting school.

They have to learn on the job on a show that's live.

If they mess up an it's humiliating.

It gets reposted million times.

It's not like me on a movie set where I get three takes, four takes, five takes.

Your boy doesn't take five takes.

Come on, you know better, But you know what I mean.

If you make a mistake, it's it's it's unseen because the next one is better, and all of a sudden, that's the take they're going to use.

So it's not like a request like please stop.

I get it.

You guys want to be a part of the show.

It just kind of sucks, like do you do it at home too?

On the TV when they can't hear you.

I guess that's cool, that's okay, But in the ring, I just kind of thought it sucked last night.

Maybe in a few months I'll switch back and be like, nah, I give him a break, Freddy.

They want to be a part of the show.

It's fun.

Let them, you know, scream and shout like the comebacks.

But it used to just be the comebacks.

They would scream and shout and all of a sudden feel like they were a part of Hulkogan's comeback because he stood up when they went ah and now it's more of like the what is more of like a fuck you, we think you suck, we don't want you on television what and that just I don't know.

To me, that's just weaks us anyway.

But if you need to do it, do it.

Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre.

Cody Rhodes, he came out at the top of the show.

It was really actually Drew McIntyre first showed up and Nick Alis is like, dog, you're suspended.

What are you doing.

And Drew McIntyre's like, come on, man, let me be unsuspended.

We won.

And he's like, maybe that's not how it works.

You don't get to be unsuspended because you won war games.

And Drew's like yeah huh.

And nick Alis is like nahuh, and Drew's like yuh huh.

And then nick OLiS is like, look, I'm not having a childish argument with you.

Get the hell out of here.

You're suspended, and Drew's like, fine, it's on you man.

You're gonna take me away from the fans.

The fans want to see me out there.

I want to be out there.

But whatever, dude, you suck, just like out In Pierce sucks.

I'm getting out of here.

I'm gone.

And he's in a white pickup truck, white symbolizing good guy.

And why do I say that, because the bad guy, Cody Rhodes attacked him, blindsided him, jumped in the truck, started punching him in the face, giving him the mush the mush face with the forearm.

Drew's screaming because he's an innocent man.

He's like, oh, it's going on in innocent, what the hell?

And Cody's pissed.

And then they let that energy brew in Cody as they separate them, and Cody now has to have that a release for that energy, and so he's storming right out on and I love when they do this.

So he's storming right out to the ring to address, to address the crowd, and there is no So what do you want to talk about?

None of that?

Dude.

He's hot, he's pissed, and he wants Drew mcintired bad.

He wants to beat his ass, and he's begging, begging Nick Eldis to unsuspend him, to lift the suspension and let Cody get a piece of that, get a piece of it that.

I'm gonna take a piece of your ass.

Boy.

He's out there yelling and screaming, and then he leaves hot too.

He takes that energy with him backstage, just to keep you locked in and engage.

I thought they did a great job with this anyway, moving on.

Oh, later in the show, there was a backstage segment with Ricky Saints and with Oba oba Femi.

I think is his name?

Yeah, Oba Femi.

I don't watch n XT, but I know Ricky Saints.

I liked him in aew We thought he was really under used in ae W.

We talked about that on the podcast a lot back then.

So the winner of those two get to face Cody at Saturday Night's main event.

And again we'll talk about Saturday Night show on the Thursday night show.

So next up in the show was the solo sikoa promo, but we kind of talked about that.

We went over that.

So let's get to Sena versus Goonther the dream match.

I don't know are people pissed about that?

Did they want Edge?

Did they want Jericho?

Do they want an old schooler?

I think Goother's really sick.

I know Jeff does too, and it makes me think that Sena's going to go out losing two times in a row to Dominic and to Goonther And we'll get into picks too, but it's going to be hard to pick against Sena.

I mean, I feel like he just lost to Dominics and maybe he deserves a win, but I've seen his old school I don't think he'll let himself go out on a win.

So so yeah, we'll get into all that on Thursday.

Let's move on to aew.

Now, AW was mainly continental classic content.

Say that five times fast.

But the show's been around long enough now that there's built in stories to these matches because a lot of these guys have history with one another.

A few didn't, but guys like Moxley and Castanoli, who were literally in the same faction, had to wrestle one another and it was a really cool match with a really smart finish as far as the winner and why.

So normally I'm like, Okay, I'll watch the matches, but there's no story.

But now they've been around, so there is now In the first one that we're going to talk about, there wasn't, so we'll just talk quickly about it.

But Okata defeated Pak.

Let everybody know he's the man.

He's not some you know, punk ass bitch.

He should call people a punk ass bitch, not just the bitch.

Lots of middle fingers.

In the Blue League main event, we had Cloudio defeating John Moxley.

This was awesome.

Man.

Moxley's the man for losing this match.

And oh, I didn't even talk about La Knight submitting and tapping out.

It takes a lot of guts to do that.

In the old days, that would really damage your character.

Maybe in the new days it doesn't, but I still think.

I think it takes courage to lose a big match by submission when you're a good guy.

So shout out to him.

But anyway, back to AE Deps, we had Moxley and Claudio shout out to Moxley for losing this match and for putting talent over.

He held that belt for a long time, was holding the company up like on his shoulders, not holding him up, holding them on his shoulders for a long time, having to be the man.

And it's cool to see him transition right into these losses from the submissions to Kyle O'Reilly and now to this who knows what's next.

I just I really like John Moxley.

I like the philosophy that's that he's showing.

I haven't heard him preach this, but he's he's walking the walk even though he's not talking the tug, he's walking the walk, so you kind of know what he's about.

And I really like that match.

Kyle Fletcher looked great against Kevin Knight, but Kevin Knight gave an awesome match, and he's so athletic and barring injury, that's a kid that I think they're going to push in the future.

But Kyle Fletcher's the man.

Proto star.

Jeff hates all his clothes and his glasses you're supposed to that's why he's wearing it.

But he's got the Will Smith attitude from Men in Black, where he's like, but I make this shit look good, So that's kind of his attitude going in.

And then we've got the aw World Championship storyline with our champion Samoa Joe versus the Challenger, the Blue Collar King, the Mad King, and former guest and friend of the show mister Eddie Kingston, and they got a title matchup winner is coming, and Joe explained to him that hook turned on Kingston because Kingston teaches people about the struggle of life and overcoming struggle, but he doesn't teach you how to win, and samo, Joe is all about victory.

He's all about gold, He's all about winning, so he's going to teach you how to get across the finish line.

Eddie will teach you how to run the race.

But Eddie's never won the race, so then that's not what Joe said.

He says it cooler than me, but the way he kind of broke it down was like, dude, you're the start, I'm the finish, and that's how this match is going to go, which makes me really believe that Joe's going to win.

It would be cool if Eddie Kingston got a championship run while he was there, because people love him so much.

I know he's getting hurt a little bit more often because we all do as we get older, but it would be cool to see.

But I don't know.

We'll have to go in, we'll have to do we'll have to do predictions on this too.

But I think I think Joe's got h just just got him.

Okay, the ops we have some versus Hangman Page's crew the Dark Order.

You already know who won that match, that's easy.

Mark Briscoe called out Daniel Garcia.

Daniel Garcia, who I still think is underrated.

We've shown him love on this show too.

A while back when he was deciding to be a sports entertainer or a professional wrestler.

It was a tough call.

It was a tough choice to make, and Briscoe sort of brought that up and reminded him of his lack of decision making and him sort of being this lost puppy dog out there and Mark.

I like Mark's backstage promos more than his in ring promos.

I think he communicates really well to a camera how he feels about the guy he's going to wrestle and why they're going to wrestle in the first place.

In the ring, it's a different beast and it's a different promo, and I don't connect to it as much.

But backstage, I think is where he really thrives.

And I hope they cantinue to do that, because Mark does a great job in those, even in the goofy stuff where he's like the word of the day today is maniacal or whatever he's going to say.

Like, I like when he's more locked in on his opponent and talking to him and he's like, let me tell you how things are going to go down.

And he just has a smooth, smooth voice and a lot of edge to him, a lot of street to him, like he came up hard.

He just communicates a powerful message.

So I really like it.

And he did it again.

We had Don Kallas out there.

I got some new sunglasses, some Don Kallas Revenge Tour sunglasses.

They're looking good, just like Don Kallas is best sunglasses in the game.

Don Kallas deal with it.

Everyone else, even l A.

And I's sorry, bro, your sunglass game compared to Don Kallis's sunglass game.

Are you joking?

Bro?

Are you joking?

It's not even close.

But you're in second place overnight, So that's cool, all right, everybody, that's our show.

That's our show.

That it's the Weekend Wrestling.

I hope you feel fulfilled.

I hope you feel satisfied and happy.

I hope you miss Jeff because I sure do.

I hope everybody had a great weekend and this show comes out on Wednesday, so enjoy Dynamite to night.

I'm baf of Jeff, I'm half of our producer Alex.
