Episode Transcript
You just want to scream, and I think I did a few times.
I was like, yeah, like it was just so fun like John.
Speaker 2Davis is just like.
Speaker 3I was like, yeah, like it was just fun.
Like God, that's girl.
What a Hi?
Speaker 2Calm Down with Erin and Carissa is a production of iHeartRadio.
How easy she was googling her.
Speaker 4Let me be.
Speaker 2The one who loves you more.
Speaker 1The reason why I'm singing that is because if you ever watched her old tour, not the Vegas one, but where she like toured everywhere.
She had these dancers, they were on a tilted stage.
I remember Kendra and I buying the VHS and watching it.
It was so the audience, welcome, everybody, the calm down podca I'm talking about this.
Speaker 3We're talking about old slem Dion tours.
Speaker 1She had a tilted stage, so the dancers in the back were high up so the people watching at the arena could see them.
But then Ken always told me how hard that was for a dancer, because it's like you were dancing on a hill.
Of course you're the slope of it.
How do you brace yourself?
I can't the idea that's not true.
I really try to pride myself on being I'm more of a freestyle dancer.
Speaker 3You're I'm looking.
Speaker 1I'm googling Selene Deannasi where she is?
I miss her.
Welcome to the Calm Down Podcast.
Here's what we got for you guys.
This will air on Thursday, so the calendar has turned.
It is officially twenty twenty six, but we record our podcast on Tuesday this week.
So Aaron and I are going to go through week seventeen, Christmas, New Year's Resolutions, all the things I finished watching Taylor's docusearies, all the takeaways from that which you're incredible again.
Found out she gave workers and it Arrowhead money for Christmas.
Speaker 2Because they had to work.
I can't this.
A marri Can is just sty association feeding America the donation.
I can't with her.
Speaker 1I mean this, gal, I swear all right you guys.
Is officially twenty twenty six, but like I said, we're going to recap the week that was so sister.
The holidays and you were in Buffalo for a Torrential Downpour game.
What a great game that was.
Oh my god, we've had sas game.
We have a week even you remembers on Thursday night, football.
We were screaming Kansas City and the Denver Broncos.
Congratulations to the Denver Broncos who clinched the AFC.
Johnny for the first time in a minute, Jean baydon Uh, what a fucking guy.
I love this guy so bad.
So we're in Kansas City for this game.
It's Christmas Day.
I'm excited to work a game on Christmas.
Speaker 5No.
Speaker 1Granted, you know when the calendar, when the schedule came out, we were like, oh my god, we're going to have Kansas City and Denver.
And of course, you know that whole coming down to the end of the season.
Is it going to decide the division?
Is it not like play off implications?
And then, of course a couple of weeks ago, unfortunately for Kansas City and their fans, this will be the first, you know, year in what eleven years or whatever it is that they're not making the playoffs.
But anyways, so still gonna be a great game because it's a division game.
And as we've seen, I mean we just saw it with Atlanta.
I saw Atlanta when they played Tampa Bay.
They had nothing to play for and they bawled out.
Atlanta had nothing to play for.
Against the Rams last night and they balled out like I respect.
These teams that are out of the playoffs aren't playing for anything other than pride, and they be Jean Robinson.
I mean, my god, this guy rushing from was two hundred yards like anyways, So the NFL is great.
Add bringing it back to this Broncos Chiefs game.
Sean Bayton, who if you guys don't know when he took a year off coaching, I got to work with him, but Fox, I just adore him.
Speaker 2He is no nonsense, no bullshit.
Speaker 1The turnaround that he's had with this team, I you know, I just yeah, I love him.
So he comes in, I see him.
We're wearing shout out to my amazing crew working on the holidays.
Speaker 2We've talked about it.
Speaker 3Yeah, where you at?
Speaker 2Are we complaining it can suck?
Speaker 1By the way, interesting, I'll say this, lebron talked about playing on the holidays.
Most of the Detroit Lions talked about the holidays.
Didn't hear much.
Any who you take it away.
Speaker 3Get out of here.
Speaker 1A lot of people need to get out here.
So I will say this, it doesn't matter what profession you're in.
It could suck if you are not right if you are not with the right people.
I so frickin' lucky that I get to work on Christmas number one and I get to work with the next best thing to my immediate family is my work family.
Shout out to sell Donnie, to Franklin, to Cynthia, to all my guys on my crew.
Speaker 3You guys a crew.
Speaker 1They okay, So it was my idea of my idea.
No, I was like, we got to a white elephant gift.
I don't want anyone feeling pressured to have to buy gifts for people.
It adds up.
It's a lot, okay, And everyone's so generous, and they were doing that.
I was like, no, save your money, but white elephant.
But my incredible Thursday night crew took it upon themselves.
All the people that work behind the scenes and in the trucks and never get any attention or glory.
These fucking guys crushed it.
They set up, they got delivered to my room a onesie.
They said, please wear this in a meeting tomorrow.
We all showed up in matching onesies.
We had the fireplace crackling on the TV.
They brought in a tree.
They brought in like these blow up like Santa.
Speaker 2Elves and all these different things.
It was awesome.
Speaker 1We had such a great time and I'm so grateful for them because We're walking around and you can see our crew like throughout the hotel, like all of these onesies and everyone's like and so Sherman and I are walking and all of a sudden we turn around and it's Coach Peyton and Sean goes, oh my god.
I was thinking to myself, what a cute couple wearing the matching pajamas.
And we started laughing, and we're like, coach, get over here because they're meeting area right by hours and they were doing a walk through and so classic Sean is like, wait, where's the meeting.
Speaker 2Let me go say hi.
He walks in, says hello to the.
Speaker 1Whole crews going, he strolls in, his walk his all his papers, the whole thing.
But Sean's so great.
Sean is very much attention to detail, so he loved it.
He was like, love the theme, love the execution, Go team Go.
So we had a great time and I'm so grateful for my crew.
So that was Christmas.
Obviously, the game ended up being a lot closer to this.
It was supposed to be thirteen and a half.
Broncos were supposed to blow out the Chiefs.
But again, it goes back to the pride that these Kansas City Chiefs have.
And I don't know if it's Travis's last game had Arrowhead, but if it was.
Speaker 2It made me emotional.
Speaker 1Yeah, Tony Gonzalez sat down with Travis for a great sit down interview, and look shout out to Tony.
We have had the privilege over the years of doing a lot of sit down interviews.
Speaker 2I love love when.
Speaker 1I see former athletes sit down, and especially in this situation, You've got two of the best tight ends that ever played the game, both for Kansas City, and Tony really brought out the best in Travis.
But watching that, I was like, you know, Tony goes, you know you're never gonna if this is it for you, You're never gonna hear that noise of your cleats walking on the concrete down to the field and like narrated this like moment and he was like really made us all think about like if these guys then straight talked about it too on Sunday.
If you're not ready to be done, don't be done because you'll regret it forever if you don't get to go out the way and some guys don't get to go out the way that they you know, want to, or with the confetti falling.
But anyways, to sum this up, I really enjoyed being able, if it is Travis's last game, to have that front row seat at Arrowhead, because what an incredible career he's had with the Chiefs and those fans adore him, and when he ran out and the roar of the crowd and everything, so it was awesome.
And then they made it a game and it went down to the fourth quarter and then the Broncos end up winning.
But really enjoyed my time in Kansas City.
Grateful to be with people that I love there in Yeah, so that was my Christmas.
Yeah, you were with your family.
And then I had to go to not had to, let's be careful of that.
And then I went to Buffalo, which was a adventure getting there.
The Northeast was getting pummeled with bad, bad weather.
So I had my good you know friends, my crew members either driving there pulling over on the side of the road because they were trying to make it through the storm.
My flights were all jacked up.
I you know, didn't end up getting there till like one in the morning on game day, ended up re routing to Rochester.
Our space security ended up coming to get me and all that, and that was good.
And then you know, morning meeting, You're back with your family and it was so nice and it was like.
Speaker 2Please, please, please.
Speaker 1All I want is a snow game, Like, give me a snow game.
We were talking to Josh Ellen on our Zoom call that week and we were kind of just talking about weather and the kind of whether he, you know, what gives him a hard time what doesn't.
And I just was like, screw this, Like I want a snow game so bad.
My girl has been talking about wanting a snow game for a while now.
Speaker 3And Josh was so cute.
Speaker 1He was like, bring your poncho ea and I was like, I know, I will sell back, but yeah, you were in the elements.
It's so interesting because it's kind of just like you're in it.
It's fine.
The good news is it wasn't that cold.
You could see your breath and everything, but it kind of got warmer, which is why it didn't turn into snow in the second half.
I kept saying to my security Clinton, I think this is freezing rain.
I think this is freezing rain.
He's like it's not happening, and I was like, damn.
But so my question, yeah, my question for you on that is, and again I've only you know, worked some like I almost is it better to just be like, hey, it's coming down, it's what it is, as opposed to like it stops it starts, because how do you keep all of your shit as far as notes and writing and all of that stuff, because you know, like I've talk to you about, like I'm out there for pregame, halftime a post, but like that constant stream of being out there, like when are you underneath like a thing?
Speaker 2Writing like how is this?
Speaker 1That's the hardest part is like kind of transcribing your notes.
And I was trying to keep record of it.
So one thing I learned from Bill Belichick.
He has a pencil, right, you can't use a pen because it's just going.
Speaker 3To bleed everywhere.
Speaker 1So I've got one of those binder kind of things, and I was writing, but then the problem is the whole pad was starting to get wet, and then the pencil wasn't writing, So then I was taking a little steno pad kind of thing, writing on that, closing it up like one of those pads that can open and close like it's still just paper.
And then I put it inside my binder, but it was still getting wet, so my notes weren't as great an OCD as they normally are.
Speaker 3But then, to make matters worse.
Speaker 1When it was raining and raining as bad as it was, our rfs were going out, meaning our ears.
So Renaldi and I and all the second quarter didn't have ears, we didn't have program.
We couldn't communicate with the other game.
No I saw Jalen Phillips go out.
I couldn't commit.
That is so bizarre.
By the way, standing at the game, I realized that's what fans do.
Not having Kevin and Tom in my ears.
Speaker 2I'm like, ah, it's such a good point.
Speaker 3I hate it.
Speaker 1I hate on im the sideline and I can't hear.
I give it to fans because it's like you want to hear everything that's going on.
And it also guides me at halftime to know, like if hey, Kevin and Tom have been hitting this point over and over, like I can see that you know, so and so just went three and out or of.
Speaker 3Course, but to emphasize what you already are thinking.
Speaker 1You know, So my RF goes out, I see Jalen Phillips get hurt.
He goes in the tent.
I can't get word to them, so I just said to them, Hey, it looks like they're working on his ankle.
Speaker 3I can't talk to you.
Guys, just heads up.
Speaker 1So I don't know if Kevin and Tom are looking at their phones and break.
But TV wrote back things babe like got it.
Yeah.
Speaker 2And then my text.
Speaker 1Did our friend Jarrek Klein, who works stats up with Kevin and Tom and the booth before halftime, and I just said, I can't hear is there a point that they're trying to make that would help me with Sirianni questions?
So it's kind of like all hands on deck when your RF goes out.
We finally got it back.
Speaker 2That was good.
Speaker 1You know what's really interesting case C is like this too.
I'm trying to think who else is like this.
I always find it interesting when teams are going in and out in the same tunnel, and that's how Buffalo is set up.
The Eagles locker room is a little farther back and the Bill's locker room is closer.
But when they're all going in and coming out, they're going up the same thing.
Speaker 2It's super crazy.
Speaker 1And especially if those games are chippy, if it let's say it was like a Bear's Hit game or like what happened like a Raiders Giants game or something like that.
When those and then they got to go through the tunnel together, yeah, it's kind of wild.
And then it's really tight in there, which I talked about in a report.
So I was kind of waiting for Siria off to the side, but all the big, big guys were coming out, like I love that shit.
Like when they're just talking and screaming, it's like you just want to scream, and I think I did a few times.
I was like, yeah, like it was just so fun, like Jordan Davis is just like.
Speaker 3I was like, God, like, it was just fun, like a high.
Speaker 1So I know, I just watching those, you know, we talk about it every single week, so it feels redundant, but it continues to be a storyline that you don't know what's going to happen.
This AFC NFC playoff picture.
As far as the one seed is, then the seventh seed and who's in and who's out, and even for like Carolina and the Bucks, like we don't no, like yeah, no one wants to win the South apparently, but then Atlanta winning against the Rams and then that affects things because then they are the tie breaker for all these other Anyways, there's just all these different scenarios, and I get a little stressed out when I'm doing highlights and doing breaks and stuff like that, because I want to make sure that my scenario is that I'm I'm taking into another game because it's like a highlight from one game is going to affect another one, and I just want to make sure I'm always like Matt, I have a great researcher.
Researcher that sits next to me, and I'm like, okay, am I getting this scenario right?
Because there's so many variables and you don't want to be like, oh, Bucks fans will like this, or Bucks fans will make this, and it's like depending on what's happening.
So it's crunch time.
We are into week eighteen.
I don't have a Thursday night game this week because we only go to week seventeen.
We'll pick it back up for the wild Card weekend.
But where are you week eighteen?
Speaker 2I don't know this.
I'm going to Chicago.
Speaker 1Oh yeah, Chicago.
The Bears are trying for the one seed.
Literally, we were over the mountain and through the woods, flying through Toronto yesterday, fly driving grandmothers how we go, and then trying to get back to La Unfortunately there was another huge storm so a lot of us got delaid, canceled.
Speaker 2We got home.
Speaker 1But yeah, the Bears can lock up a two seed with a win over the Lions.
I don't know if they need help.
I'm not good at these scenarios.
So the one seed is going to come down to that Seattle San Francisco game, which is fucking awesome for the NFC West, and again, as you know, the gal from Seattle, it's really cool.
A shout out to Mike McDonald and the job that he's done and the turnaround that with that organization because it's only taken him a couple of years and he has really and you know Sam Darnold and that whole regime.
But again we talk about it too, what the job that San Francisco has done.
We forget Brock perty didn't play six games out of the year.
Speaker 4Mac.
Speaker 1You know, Jones comes in or five games whatever it was, and comes in and plays great.
And that shot of Fred Warner in that game from San Francisco awesome, you know when it's like he you know, how bad he wants to play and it goes out on the sideline at the end of the game.
And then they won without George Kittle.
Like the Niners and no Bosa, they find ways to time.
So it's freaking freaking land.
It's just and Rob's Sley you go mm hmmm.
So yeah, it's great.
It's freaking great.
It is Week eighteen in the NFL.
I really I love Stray and obviously he's going to be the first to say to Miles Garrett, I hope he gets that sack record because again he continues to play on a team that doesn't have the success that they've wanted for so many years.
But that guy is so nice and so deserving of that single season sack record.
Speaker 2He only needs what one one more?
I think.
I don't know.
Speaker 1There's just a lot of great storylines, as there always is in the NFL, and this year in particular, just with the parody my favorite word, what else do we got?
Paral uh huh, okay, So wait are you in New Year's resolution person?
And I mean I try.
It's always the same one every single year, it is.
Yeah, my mouth just oh, I have to walk about that same for me too, And then I say I'm going to do it, and then I like our clips come out and my current damn it, and Ryan have to bleep out every other word.
I know, I know I should work on that too, Maybe I'll say so.
I love New Year's resolutions.
I actually prefer to make like sort of goals for myself on my birthday more than I do New Year's Eve.
But Steve and I actually do a New Year's resolution together for us as a couple.
And I'm excited because it's not New Year's Eve yet here.
By the time we record this, it will have aired.
But we don't look at our list until now until it's New Year's Eve again and we go back and we see how many of the things that we did that we said that we were going to do and then have it.
So I'm going to try to be better about actually following through and making him a meal at least like once a week.
I don't ever do.
I can't tell you the last time I made him a meal, which is terrible, and he doesn't ask for it.
He doesn't want it.
He knows I don't like cooking.
But I think it would be nice if I made more of a concerted effort to surprise him with that, be like, look, I cooked for you, because he doesn't ask for it.
Different things I mean for you in terms of learning to cook, different things.
Speaker 2Like pick up it.
Speaker 1It's not that hard, like I just need to go.
I hate going to the grocery store.
I hate, like I just hate the whole act of like cleaning it up and like just it's like a whole production.
But I'm so sick of the doorbell ringing for food delivery.
It's gross, Like why are.
Speaker 2We doing that?
Speaker 1We don't need how I've been doing it?
That lasts two three months too much and every time the doorbell rings, just like why why?
And also ven waste of money too, Like if we look at these charges, it's like what are we paying for here?
Speaker 2I know, I know, I know convenient that.
Speaker 1But it is convenience.
So cooking for him is uh would be on my steven five New Year's resolution.
Following up with coffee talk, we have a thing morning that he doesn't like coffee, and I wish he did share drink coffee.
Speaker 2Steve does not like coffee.
Speaker 1He always has a Celsius and like maybe he'll have a shot of espresso, but he's not a coffee guy.
I want to like sit there and like be cute and have coffee and talk about our day.
So we try to do this thing called coffee talk, but he's like not drinking coffee.
I don't know, just a couple of things.
I got to think about really what I want to do.
But yeah, I'm always get excited for a new year.
It feels like it's fresh.
It's something you know to look forward to as far as like to do lists and goals and stuff like that.
So I also love the old Anxide.
The second that song, I get emotional.
Speaker 2How could you not?
I think of Sex in the City movie and I know, I know what a great time?
Not a lot?
Who are you for New Year's?
What are you doing?
Speaker 1I'm home, I'm home with the crew with characters.
I should probably get on all that.
Where do I get those?
Speaker 2Just get them at?
Speaker 1Like I don't know a CVS or a Walgreens or a Target.
They definitely have stuff.
Okay, yeah, I should do that with the baby boom.
I got to write that down.
If I don't write it down, I wonna.
Speaker 3Write it down.
Speaker 2Are you writing this?
You're writing it down?
Speaker 3Write it down?
Speaker 2Is it Tuesday already?
Speaker 3So we had.
Speaker 1Hold on what do we call those things?
Noise makers?
Get New Year's Eve?
Where do I buy those?
Speaker 2Since we don't have a Thursday night game.
Speaker 1I'm up at the ranch, which I am so excited about because I haven't been up here in a minute, and I making progress with Lollie.
Speaker 2She almost took the hot dog out.
Speaker 1Of my hand today, So yeah, I'm really I just love when I get to be up here, and my sweet Tony who takes care of the ranch when I'm not here.
I walked in and since I wasn't home for Christmas, she.
Speaker 2Put in a Christmas tree.
Speaker 3Sweet, a real Christmas tree.
I write a cord.
Speaker 2She did, and she decorated it.
Speaker 1And keep in mind, this woman has five children and she has so much shit of her own to do, and maybe that for Steve and I and she put little stockings by the fireplace, and I just have to say how lucky I feel to have incredible people in my life that help me do things when I can't do them or like to even have this ranch, I can only have it with the people that are up here, and so like to build Lolly's fence so she can have a new home, and it just makes my heart like so happy.
So that's actually a new Year's resolution.
I've got to be able to spend more time up here and justify like I just love it.
Speaker 2It's my happy place, like you know your happy place.
I know what we're getting to that point.
Speaker 1I mean, I was feeling like a real shit mom today for running to the gym right after Max started breakfast.
But I was like, I gotta do this.
You said this to be a better person.
But I was like, hey, you know, I was thinking of all the moms who have their kids off this week and they're off, and I'm like, but we're not.
I have to after this go shit my shit to Chicago.
I've got to talk to Caleb Williams.
And again for all you girl.
Speaker 3Jenna, I'm not bitching about it.
Speaker 1I'm just talking about all the things I got into and balance being a mom, and I feel like shit about it because all of all the sweet moms that I'm on the group text with are at the farmer's market today and they're going to the library and like, but I thought to myself, I will in the next month, like I got I got you.
How many moms have like six months off after that, you know, so very very lucky.
But yeah, trying to go easy on myself.
And the same with going to the ranch.
You'll be able to like we're almost done, and then it's like we're no.
Speaker 2And then's good.
Speaker 1No, total, this is this is the thing we're dreading.
The fact it's I'm dreading the fact that the season is going to be over.
A course, it's that it's just that balance of like the things that I feel guilty.
I know I don't have children, but I feel guilty when I'm not here because of the animals, which is which is why two of these dogs who shouldn't be inside because they're dirty, I don't care.
I put down all the blankets and Frankie's over there and Norman's over there, and I don't care, and I just want to love on them and be like, I'm your mom, remember me, same, I'm your mouth.
That was me when I got home last night we're really and I get the whole obsession with the iPad and the TV like it's real, and your kids act crazy when they don't get it.
Speaker 2But Jared is out of town.
Speaker 3I got home.
Speaker 1I hadn't seen Mackie in a couple of days.
It's been a kind of emotional time for our family, and I grabbed him.
We did a shower.
I threw him in the shower, and then after that, I was like, let's cuddle with mommy and we watched Muana.
Speaker 2And then the problem is he woke up this morning.
Speaker 1He kept going to Ali Ali, which is Maui from Muana.
Speaker 2He wanted and he was.
Speaker 1Like, I want Disney, I want not aUI, I want Awi.
I'm like nobody, It's it's breakfast.
We got books to read, We've got things going on.
But I get it.
It's like you're letting the dogs in.
I'm letting the kid watch TV.
It's because I feel so friggin bad.
Speaker 2I also understand.
Speaker 1Your ability and any mother's ability to know exactly what their kid is saying when obviously if I hear that, I'm.
Speaker 2Like, wait, what are they saying?
Speaker 1And you're like, oh, means this or he means that, like, it's just like a special hidden talent language situation.
You know what your dogs are doing, and saying I wouldn't know what they you just know it because you're around them, like this morning, GiB saying.
Speaker 2Oh, what do you think that means?
Speaker 3What do you think that is?
Speaker 1Oh?
It's Disney?
How would I get that?
I don't know what that means?
He wanted to share his money and King because I was singing.
Speaker 4As I was.
Speaker 1Changing his stayer, no, mommy no.
I was like, Okay, what do you want to see?
And I'm like, I'm like, what is that?
What?
Speaker 2I just got home?
Speaker 3What is that?
Speaker 2And then I go lion King?
Speaker 1Yeah, oh see, hey, speaking of Disney, what do you got?
Put put our child in front of the TV for this that Taylor Swift documentary.
Speaker 3I know, not the documentary.
Speaker 1He might not watch the whole thing, but the concert, because I remember when we put that concert on and he was pointing and staring and this was like what almost.
Speaker 3A year ago.
Speaker 1He was like, yeah, he liked the sparkles and the whole thing, and we talked about it a little bit on the pregame.
But I was able to finish the documentary.
Wait, incredible.
I know we say it all the time, but it bears it's worth repeating.
She's incredible.
I have just I continue to have so much respect for her the operation.
I loved seeing the behind the scenes the same way that we talk about I saw on your insta story, even like the shots like rich Russo and his whole crew and the rain coming down, like these so many people, which is why I again she gave bonuses to all them.
Speaker 2That doesn't happen.
There are so many people that.
Speaker 1Go into creating this incredible machine that is her and the concert and that tour.
But seeing the behind the scenes and whether it's her band and them having to leave their families and all of the sacrifices that all of them made, but there was nowhere else that they would rather be, and she wreckedizes that and she praises them.
In the dancers, and like when the one and I can't remember his name, but when he wanted to dance in the reputation, you know set and usually it's just women, and she's like, well, of course he can dance in that.
Like it just I loved hearing the stories of the dancers and then one of her dancers, going through breast cancer and everything that came with that, and just the family that she has created with these individuals that have been with her for so long, and even if some of them were new that they were like, we hate leaving this tour because it is family.
And I feel the same way when I'm on the road with Thursday and with the Sunday crew.
It's like, these people are your family.
And so it was just such a nice reminder and window into her world that it only happens with all of the efforts of everybody and so really special.
I was so impressed with the whole thing and just her in general and how she.
Speaker 3Operates.
Speaker 1I mean, there should be like a case study on her.
But I also like their cheer that they do fuck fuck fuck it up.
I'm doing all right, but you get it like that, Oh you haven't.
They do like this cheer before they go out to every show, and it's just it's really cute.
And for anyone that hasn't seen the docu saries, watch it, and I'm excited for you to finish watching so we can talk about it.
The clips that I've seen on Instagram.
At one of the clips where she was talking about did I see did we get that far?
She was watching a game and then she was like, I can do two things at once, and she start saying totally.
Speaker 2Right now, intercept that's passed interference.
Speaker 3It's like, oh, yeah, that's all over.
Good, it's great.
Speaker 1I felt like like I felt seen where it's like you want to be like, oh my god, here's she's going to do her job.
She's like focused on and she talks about it all the time, where she knew nothing about football.
And then there's the moment where she's standing next to her dad and they're watching again.
She's like, I thought that this would never happen, so so sweet, so many incredible moments, and to her family like her mom and her dad and her brother, it's just oh, it's just great, whole thing great.
I can't wait to sit and watch it.
We're having a situation right now where we're watching it together.
And he kind of led on that.
He went ahead and said what yeah, yeah, and I'm like whoa And he was like, oh, you weren't home, and I was like, god, so, but I'm excited to finish it.
I love that they did it because there's so much that went into that tour that I know we've asked her about before, but yeah, the insides and it's just really really special.
I said on our pregame show that I have a girlfriend that's that's a fan of hers, Jackie Quick.
But she just had texted and said, all right, I watched the whole thing.
My sleeves are soaked.
Hey, this is really special.
I haven't told you this yet.
The reactions I guess of fans seeing them in themselves in the shots.
Did I tell you about my little friend?
No, you know my girl Claire who wants to be the little sideline reporter who I did my cleats for my cleats, my cause, my call my cleats.
Last year, she has been through Helen back and has just the best attitude in the whole wide world.
Have become friends with her and her sweet mom.
Her mom texted me and said, I don't know if you had anything to do with this.
I don't know how this happened, but of all the people they could have put just behind the scenes at the tour, they have a shot of Claire at the tour in the dog and I said, I love you.
Speaker 3I have nothing to do with this.
Speaker 1I haven't even gotten to that part yet, and her mom's just like she has like meaning Taylor has no idea how much like something like this means.
And no, Yeah, Claire's sitting there and she's cheering and holding up a sign and I guess when they saw it.
Claire looked at her mom and goes, Aaron's gonna freak out, and she sees this so sweeps, so sweet, And it's just really things like that that Taylor and her company and her staff, you know, are able to do.
Just the joy they can provide people, especially like one like Claire who's been through Helen back.
Speaker 2That's so sweet, really really sweet.
Speaker 1And I saw a report and that Taylor was giving out money to the workers in Kansas City that had to work on Christmas, and I'm hoping there's validity to them.
I can't imagine that there wouldn't be.
But just those kinds of things is again another reason why we just love and adore everything that she stands for.
But yeah, I can't wait for you to finish that.
I can't wait.
I also can't wait for you and I to celebrate Christmas together now, Jared, Steve, myself and you and Macaroon.
We're going to do a Christmas because we obviously don't get to be together on Christmas, and so I get really excited.
Speaker 2I was going to send Aaron.
I was texting her.
Speaker 1I was going to send all of her gifts, like with a courier person down to her house so she could have them open them on Christmas.
And I was like, why am I doing that?
I was like, I want to bet spend Christmas together.
So that's something that I'm looking forward to.
Is that now that I know that you have Charger plates?
Aaron on the pregame revealed that she has got Christmas plates, which are Wow, good for you.
They're really cute plates.
And I'm looking forward to that.
And I don't know when it's going to be, but I'm excited to spend some holiday time and holiday cheer with you.
Speaker 3Gas.
Speaker 1I just can't wait to have a martini with you.
It feels like it's been way too long.
Speaker 2Yeah, when was that?
That was like base, that was October.
Speaker 1I don't know it was October because we had Martinez when we were watching the World series.
Yeah, looking forward to a lot of things.
You will be heading to Chicago's I mentioned for Week eighteen, I am in studio on Sunday.
Speaker 2What else we got going on?
What else?
What else?
Speaker 3What else?
Speaker 2I don't know, just trying.
Speaker 1I'm excited to see how these obviously Alida seating games that I'll find find out where I'm going from my playoff.
I love that you guys have a playoff game.
That is so exciting.
I cannot wait to watch you do a playoff game.
Speaker 2No, it's so fun.
Speaker 3But yeah, have a gal you were all you were just a sparkle Christmas dream.
Speaker 1I had actually a leftover Super Bowl outfit from Fox.
Shout out to Vicki Trilling, actually because I went to Fox and I saw it hanging there and it was supposed to be really really cold in Kansas City because it normally is end of December, and so I had already got a jacket.
Speaker 2I was ready.
And then you'll be proud of me.
Speaker 1I actually looked at the weather and I was like, oh shit, it's like not it's going to be sixty degrees.
And so I had this suit from last year that I didn't end up wearing for Super Bowl, and I was like, hey.
Speaker 2Can I wear this?
Speaker 1Because and Fox is so great, They're like, oh yeah, you can wear and oh I got to give a quick shout out for anyone Ryan Fitzpatrick.
It was so we had this competition all year you pick the games, which I'm really pissed off.
I've now lost two years in a row.
I won the first year and I've lost the last year, and I get really competitive about it.
Sure, and all of these division grooms really screwed me because there were so many underdogs that ended up winning or like you know, like whatever.
The for the teams that I picked, always I picked the favorite, being like, oh, yeah, the Eagles are going to be you know whoever, and they didn't any who I lost.
Speaker 2I was mad.
Speaker 1But Ryan Fitzpatrick was the loser of all of us, so we had to wax his chest with t and f into it.
Speaker 3What could go wrong?
Speaker 1It's like, you know it's gonna be a you know, it's gonna be funny because it's tim But there was this moment like we weren't thinking it was gonna happen yet, and the sweet woman that was waxing him like did it before we were all ready and we were like, oh my god.
Speaker 3It was She was a local.
Speaker 1She was Amy Palchak's sister friend who was a licensed esthetician and certified to be able to wax.
Speaker 2But I was like, oh my god.
Speaker 1I laughed so hard at those pictures afterwards because I'm like, who else is a green first of all to do this?
Speaker 2And he's just so got damn Funny's great, hilarious.
Speaker 1Now I have a question, yep, and you may have said this on the show at some point if.
Speaker 3You had lost what were you waxed?
What was I going to do?
Speaker 1Yeah, that's what I said it multiple times to Spoon, our producer.
I was like, hey, waxing is like a very and even Tonyasi's so great.
Tony goes, I don't really have a lot of hair.
I was like, my man, I was like, what are we going to do it?
He's like, then we would have just went to like the second thing, whatever it was.
I don't know what it was, karaoke or something like that, but I'm like, yeah, it was like, we're not gonna Hey, Steve Hey came going over there, My little rancher over there.
Speaker 2He went up and fed the cow.
Speaker 3Let me see you.
Speaker 1He's a way, he's in the kitchen.
Aaron wants to see you.
Oh, give the people what they want.
He's in his full My man is really leaned into ranching.
Every time he goes outside.
Now he puts on the cowboy hat.
Where's your cowboy hat?
Speaker 3He's cute?
