Episode Transcript
Something I love him so much for doing, because it is very hard sometimes for people to say it, you gotta go get checked, you got to go get checked.
Thank god he caught it.
Thank god they got it before.
I mean, that was a lot he went through.
But that is what he was dressing to people today and Early Detection does it all.
Yep, he really does.
And he made it so personal for people to hear.
We love you, coach.
We are so happy that you are on the mend.
Aaron, you said it perfectly.
He handles everything with grace, with levity, and with inspiration.
Calm Down with Erin and Carissa is a production of iHeartRadio.
Come on, I want to they whoa we should go to Hawaii together?
You hate I go there?
I hate Hawaii.

Thanksry.
Speaker 2Welcome to the Calm Down Podcast.
Speaker 1We are discussing our dedication of our great producer, Ryan, who's on vacation in Hawaii and still taking time time in the off season.
Let's be clear, my man goes on more vacas than anyone.
Wow.
Because this show is such a huge success, you know, he's got a lot of opportunities to spend his harder in cash from this here podcast.
Welcome you guys.
So this is fun.
Speaker 2H Aaron, you're adorable with your western hat on.
Speaker 1I love.
I love when Aaron's summer Aaron and she's in her favorite place because then she gets western on me and I feel like we're like together in our western world, ranching and ye outdoorsy, all kinds of stuff.
You guys, We've got a great show for you today, don't we.
Don't you're picking up horseshit.
I'm doing infrared machine.
That's our Western era.
Our camping is our our country.
Versions are very different, that's true.
You're at the four seasons outside version and I'm in whatever the one season.
But anyways, so fun, all right, you guys, good big show for you today.
We've both had coffee.
I have I'm actually doing some energy, a little like pack with energy telling me no, just like you know the little packets like the whatever, the hydration packets and then like a little caffeine one that Celsius makes those now, so you don't have to drink the Celsius out of can like you mix it.
I'm doing a little concoction because I don't not drinking enough water, so I'm trying to be better about that with a little all right, So you know who always talks about drinking water and this is not in a rundown that we'll get to.
Jennifer Anniston always talks about drinking wa have you seen her in the smart pop commercial?
I was gonna say hysterical she she's been and smart water.
She's smart about a lot of things, water, popcorn.
Her hair commercial is also very funny.
Do we know anyone that knows Jennifer Aniston?
I would love to have her on this podcast.
Can we put that out there in the world?
We want to with that on this podcast.
Yeah, I don't even know if I want her on the podcast.
I want to have a cocktail with her.
Well well podcast.
She's an incredible host.
Really, you know, I hate hosting.
I'd love to hear I want to know how she became an incredible host, Like it's such like you know, hot Goss that I know that.
Shout out to Ken Jong for saying hot goss.
No, she was on SmartLess and those boys on SmartLess all love her.
Yeah, and they love money because they're rich on that podcast, what the hell?
So they all talk about what they love to go to her house and she's the hang and like she's always got treats and snacks, and I bet it smells so good, so good.
Speaker 2I wish that I was good at hosting.
I really wish that.
I'm stop it.
Speaker 1No, I'm not.
It is thing that I wish I was better at.
I want to know how to do I need.
I need you know what I should do a shark hooterie making class.
I don't even know how to do a charg hooterie board.
I mean, I know the elements that go on it, but then when they make the little roses and then and I'm also like them, we were touching the meat and then like that, don't touching the meat.
I was gonna say that was That's something Fox should offer at our seminar.
Instead, we're doing puppy yoga whatever.
We're gonna look great.
I don't care.
We're adorable guys.
Gronki is doing puppy yoga with us.
We should have told him him and check out the temperature.
Actually, you know what.
We were supposed to be in our uh shark hooterie making class last year and we bailed.
They made a board, they didn't do anything with the meat.
Okay are you are you guys still with us?
Welcome to the Calm Down Podcast.
We have a lot to discuss today, something serious, something's fun, and a lot of in between.
We've got to talk about our coach, our love deon standers.
Speaker 2We got an update on that.
Speaker 1Aaron's got an update on some shows that she's been watching that I've watching it giving her anxiety.
We also Aaron's been taking a pickleball lessons and we'll get an update on that.
I have some questions for any listeners out there, slash viewers that watch us on YouTube.
I need some help with my dog training situation, my sweet little new rescue Lollie and sort of what to do with her.
What else do we got I'm counting down on I've got a few more days at the ranch, and I'm soaking up all the fun here anyways, So well, let's just get into it, shall we.
Sure first and foremost camp is back.
I know you and I have exchanged pictures and some fun videos of different things.
The boys are back quote in town.
Camps are fully open in the NFL, which means that it is that time again, which makes me really excited because that means that when I turn on NFL Network, it's not a replay of an AFC Championship game.
It is real life boys are in pads hitting all the fun stuff.
We had made the comment before we jumped on on here Trav cut his hair.
He's high and tight again, which is a haircut.
So that leads us to I know our listeners want to know all about the picture that he posted, as you guys love tailor as much as Aaron and I do, so we actually answered that question about the picture he posted on the pregame.
Speaker 2So if you're curious about the answer and the.
Speaker 1Details some of the details around that, go listen to the pregame.
But it got us thinking about different haircuts, and I asked you, Aarin, if Jarrett had different hairstyles, and you said yes, yeah, hold on, I'm going to see if he'll come explain this one real quick.
Oh fun.
Okay, for those of you that haven't listened to the pregame.
You're probably stopping us now because you really only care about the picture.
But if you did listen to the pregame, then you know what we're talking about.
Aaron I asked her about Jarrett having longer hair or just different hairstyles throughout his time, and I know I've seen a picture because full disclosure, you know I have not done this before.
I've googled your husband's name because I never want to put two t's if it's two RS, and I always forget.
And so like I've went to have done the RS and T two RS, one T exactly.
And that's when I'm like, okay, all the comes.
Sometimes at Starbucks they write Jerry, Jerry, Jerry.
Speaker 2You're like, where did you get that?
Speaker 1I get Clarissa a lot, but Gary, that's from Gary Payton and I got worked with him for three years.
Okay, well we wait for Jared to come up.
All of this is to say that Steve makes on photos and they're funny.
So this is one of the AI photos that Steve has made of himself.
I love that one.
He looks incredible because I have this running joke that I want Steve I have a dream of going around the ranch on horseback and like pulling up to the saloon, and I did it the other day, but he wasn't here, and I was like, we have two other horses here.
We have Sage and Dusty, which are Tony's horses, and they're so cool and they're chill like oz is a dick.
Speaker 2Oz Is like.
Speaker 1Used to be a stallion and he was a stud and so he's got this like energy of like, bitch, I ain't hauling you around this ranch.
Okay, you were from me, but he's sexy.
You posted the other day.
He is sexy.
Oz Is like he's oz Is like a man.
Okay, So Dusty and Sage who are up here now there's sweet mares and they're just like people pleasers.
They're like, you want me to dig you around the ranch?
Girl, fine, no problem, hop on my back.
Like they do not spook, they don't do anything.
Speaker 2They're great.
Speaker 1So I said to Steve, I was like, we can finally live out our dream of going around on the ranch.
But anyways, Steve still's like, uh no, I'm never getting on a on a horse.
He like thinks it's like an ick like him riding a horse because he won't be able to hold on and won't know what to do.
I say all of this in my very long, circuitous way to say that the reason he had this picture is because he sent this to me one day and I was like, wait, I love your hair like that.
You should grow it out long?
Don't we all think Steve would look great like that?
Steve has the best head of hair.
It's insane, like, he has such gorgeous hair.
He looks like your guymers, these Jerry Beaver, Cleaver, whatever he does.
Speaker 2This is the ship that he makes and tastes great, and I just.
Speaker 1Think it's so oh my god, on there's one more look at this fucking guy.
Speaker 2But I'm like, dude, you look so hard like you grow your hair out.
Speaker 1And he won't.
Speaker 2So let's get a petition to have Steve grow his hair out.
Speaker 1Also, photos are fucking crazy.
Hell, they're crazy.
Yeah, So we mentioned travis kind of hair back.
There's a lot a lot of chatter about that, and and then we started saying, you know, has Jarrett ever cut his hair a certain way?
Steve?
You want him to grow it out long?
Yeah, back when you were surmising that if you will I was putting a bow on it, much like Jarrett tried to put a bow on his hair.
No, that's crazy.
I want him so badly.
I don't know what he's doing to come and tell this story.
But we're doing Thursday night football Patriots somebody, and Tom is.
Speaker 2Obviously still with the Patriots.
Speaker 1We go.
I said to Jared, hey, do you want to come, like you know Tom's playing, we're doing the game.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'll come.
I'll come.
Great.
We end up going.
I don't know how he and Tom are friends.
He ends up like asking Tom or finds out from Tom where he gets his haircut from.
So of course, Jared, O, god, I'm going to go where Tom goes.
And in fact, I'm going to get the Tom Brady hair.
And this is in New England.
This is in New England.
This is the portion of the show of Tom's career when he had it very hot.
Speaker 2What there's my cap?
Hold on behinds out of the bag.
Speaker 1As you said, hold on, hold on.
She's the one that's in the barn and normally doesn't wander around out here, so I was afraid that she was gonna get Okay, go ahead, hold I'm interrupted.
You no, no, no, it's Tom.
So this was the portion of Tom's career where he was wearing it high and tight, like high and tight hot.
Great.
His hair now is great.
Yeah, he's been a lot of different like looks.
Speaker 2Uh huh.
Speaker 1Yeah.
So I don't know how hopefully this this animal comes down and tells this story.
But I go to the game and he's going pregame to go get his haircut from Tom's guy shows up at the game.
Here he comes hopefully has his shirt on.
Yep.
Hold please hopefully not for the viewers and listeners, you know what I mean?
Hey, can you come tell the story?
Yeah, we're on We're on live.
No, it's a good one.
You know this.
Speaker 2Stop stop being weird, get over haircut?
Speaker 1Just stop.
It's not embarrassing and if it's terrible, we'll take it out.
We're not live.
Okay, great, put this in your live Jared ir Ai photos.
Yeah, okay, come closer.
What's up us front?
Also, I don't think it's that restaurant that isn't open.
It's the Amakazi that's not open.
That restaurant's open.
So yeah, okay, so we were talking about Travis cut his hair.
I don't know if you saw that in training camp, He's back to old Trav high and tight.
And then side has Jared ever had a haircut?
That was like, whoa.
So I was telling the.
Speaker 2Story about how I was doing a.
Speaker 1Patriots game and you you decide to go get a cut.
This is when TV was wearing real high and tight.
What happened there?
What?
And how did you even get hooked up with?
Speaker 3I don't know, Well, maybe Ben, I think Tom's Ben Rowt's shut out to Ben.
Speaker 1But hey, Ben, I just want to shorter on the sides for one time.
And then I went to, well you wanted Tom's haircut?
Speaker 2Oh you said that, that's that's coming from you.
Speaker 3But so I go in and he just yeah, I just kept cutting shorter and shorter, and it was I liked it.
Speaker 1It was a great cut.
Speaker 3But then I talked about my runways on the side and it was this is kind of interesting how he said and how he worried.
He goes, well, we can get rid of those as long as you just keep cutting it back back back, more and more and more back.
Speaker 1And I was like, then you get rid of him.
Speaker 3I'm like, well, I don't know if I like that.
Speaker 1Idea, but you saw after so did you get your haircut before the game?
And then this one even better.
This is a whole other story.
When coach Balachak was with the Patriots and I don't know how it's going to be now with coach Rabel, very very difficult on the sidelines.
They are very strict.
It's not like other two.
This is not a mystery.
Yeah, fourth quarter.
You were down on the field the start of the fourth and I'm looking at you and I'm like, you can't be down here like the Patriots security can be down there until someone says I can't be.
Speaker 2That's that's kind of.
Speaker 1The way she goes.
He said, two standards us bitch, No.
Speaker 3No, it's just I don't know if.
Speaker 2You I gotta get you at the end of the game.
Speaker 1I got to get with you.
Otherwise I'm in an uber and waiting.
I gotta get out with you.
Right.
So then he comes down from Patriots when Tom you know, gives me the postgame interview.
This one comes right out on the field, and as Joe Buck said, it was hilarious what Joe Buck said.
He goes, I, you know, they have this big embrace.
They're talking about the haircut.
Yeah, I'm trying to go like to get tom My.
Oh sorry, yeah, Jared is having a moment and right up, Joe Buck said, I've seen soldiers return from war give like less of an embrace than you, and Tom Brady had like go way more than you liked it.
Speaker 2So that's okay.
It was wild, you know what he you know what Tom thought.
Speaker 1Tom said, it's my receiver that I've been working with all off seasons why we won the game.
So you go, there's some there's a backstory to the time that you guys spent together haircuts, working on the field.
Speaker 2You weren't with me in the gym, you know, make a chance.
Speaker 1I love it.
I love it.
Okay, so you want to find out I don't think it's that place.
It's it's the other one, thank you.
AnyWho, there's that wait.
I didn't realize that it was before the interview, which is oh yeah, I've got pictures of it.
It was he was like, yeah, oh, hey, what's your name.
I'm not going to say her name is okay, okay, you know her name, you know her you know her name, you say her name.
This is not an episode of Cheers where everybody knows your name, all right, ladies and gentlemen, all right?
So what uh?
No, we are not even closer to being done because we are going to talk about someone now that we love very very much and he was my favorite player growing up.
I had the great chance to work with him at NFL Network.
You're very close with him as well.
Dion Sanders we tape our podcast on Mondays, had a press conference today and address some health issues, and it was revealed that he has overcome I don't want to give the diagnosis.
Do you have the exact diagnosis in front of you so I don't misspeak on it.
Yeah.
He underwent surgery to remove his bladder actually, which I know from hearing about it during all of this not easy.
And also it was discovered he had a tumor there and since the surgery, no traces of cancer, which is amazing, and he's going to continue to coach this season.
I am in much of the way that Dion does things.
He was very candid, he was humorous, he was emotional.
He had the team trainer up there.
He oh, he was talking about when the doctor said he was cured of cancer.
He was up there with his doctor that she doesn't use that word lightly.
He lost twenty five pounds.
There was a huge fight.
He talked about having to make, you know, do his will up when he heard the news.
But yeah, I think the underlying thing and something I love him so much for doing, because it is very hard sometimes for people to say it, you got to go get checked, you got to go get checked.
Thank god he caught it.
Thank god they got it before.
I mean, that was a lot he went through.
But that is what he was stressing to people today and early detection does it all.
Yep, he really does.
And he made it so personal for people to hear.
We love you, coach, We are so happy that you are on the mend.
Speaker 2Aaron, you said it perfectly.
Speaker 1He handles everything with grace, with levity, and with inspiration too.
I know we saw this.
Steve's Sarkisian had something happened, you know, at that heart when he underwent surgery for his heart.
Speaker 2Steve's Sarkasian for those of you that don't know.
Speaker 1He's now the head coach at Texas, but when he was at Alabama and then he's been very vocal about early detection on things, whether it's you know, someone in the sports world or in your own life.
And Aaron, you have went through this as well with cervical cancer.
Is that early detection, being vocal about it, and what you can do to make sure that you help other people prevent you know, or even at least just get the diagnosis early so you can take the necessary steps to heel from it.
Speaker 2But yeah, we love you, coach, and we're.
Speaker 1Thinking of you, and thank you for being so open about everything.
I think it inspires a lot of people.
All Right, what else we got?
Okay, show update.
That's a tough transition, but I'm going to say it.
I rear just weeks away from starting up which is crazy Pants, and I'm trying to binge a bunch of shows.
I just finished Handmaid's Tales.
Shout out to Elizabeth Moss and crew.
My god, it was so good, but it's making me want more.
It is so twisting not seeing it.
Tell why should I watch it?
I know You're not alone in this.
A lot of people have watched this show.
Sell it to me.
It's just a wild ride.
It is very, very dark.
It is it is very It's based off a book.
It's just the music is great, the shots are great.
She's an insane, intense, gifted, incredible actress.
Reminds me of my obsession I had with Homeland and just how I felt with Carrie.
I loved it so much, but I want more.
It's there was cliffhand me more.
That's a good question.
Ryan, I'm gonna go to you for that one in Hawaii.
But it was so good.
So Jared and I are trying to cram a bunch of shows.
Carissa mentions your Honor to us six seasons of Handmaid's Tale line Cranston, Shit, Carissa, your honor.
There's only two seasons, and I mean, I get it.
It's like you or how old is it?
Speaker 2It's a couple.
Speaker 1It's probably maybe two years old?
Yeah, probably two years old.
It is is one of my favorite series.
I'm jealous that you haven't watched it.
Okay, so what do you think so far?
All you text me and Steve was this is intense?
So are we like to look it away?
From most of the beginning?
That was really difficult.
This is what one of my really one of my best friends, Jackie Quick, told me, when you have a kid, you watch things differently, And that's exactly what happened.
To me, this is about a judge whose son makes a really bad decision and then they try to clean it up.
But it's really sloppy.
And I just looked over it, Jarrett, and I said, aren't you thinking of this with like mac what if mag that?
No, that's okay, my god, Aaron, live a little.
It's called fiction.
It doesn't have to be related to my child riding a motorcycle.
He doesn't doesn't even ride a bike.
Calm down, but it's just yeah, it makes you think, like delivering big lessons and things like that, and what you would do for your kid.
But oh my god, it was like this first episode end, second one starts and Jerre goes, I don't know if I could do this like a second episode.
I said, we're in it, let's just go and he looks.
The meaning goes, you want an oreo?
And I was like, no, I don't want an oreo.
Let's just get through that.
It's so sometimes scared to watch it tonight, but I loved her.
I said, you didn't fall asleep during it?
No, I am that meme that you know.
Speaker 2Cool, very typical.
Speaker 1Yeah, exactly, I'm the person the girl that you with her boyfriend puts on a movie everybody nose is itching.
I'm not allergic to cats, but the hair is like, now my faith, I can't get it up.
I'm the girl that falls asleep the second like because.
Speaker 2I'm comfy and I'm usy, and she's like.
Speaker 1I got my blanket and I got a thing, and I'm like, I'm passed out in two seconds.
So this one was so like intense to your point that it kept me awake, which which is also why I think I watched Dateline all the time because I'm not falling asleep in the middle of the double homicide, like I want to know what happened.
I want to know, you know, So I don't need anything that's going to rock me to sleep.
Speaker 2La La by Baby.
Speaker 1Oh you know what.
I've been watching Lioness Taylor Sheridan.
Is there a show that this guy doesn't write or produce?
Lioness with Nicole Kidman and Zoey's el Donna, who's fantastic, beautiful Taylor Sheridan every time just written, produced, owned.
God, he's rich.
Huh, yeah, he got to sleep at night with all those thoughts.
Speaker 2Well, that's what I'm saying.
Speaker 1He's obviously writing him down and making a million dollars off of it.
So yeah, that's what I'm watching.
But no, stay with your honor.
I didn't think about the correlation that you have a child.
It's just you know.
Speaker 2But yeah, shows are good.
Speaker 1If you guys have any other show recommendations, we are always up for it.
Speaking of your guys' input, I would love some inputs, so for those of you that pay attention to the old ranch stories.
Obviously my inspiration around here to rescue as many dogs animals as I can.
Whatever.
There was a neighbor of mine who passed away and told me prior to passing away that she wanted me to take Lollie for her.
Lollie is her Great Pyrenees.
This sweet dog.
I don't know what happened down there, but this dog is terrified of people, like doesn't want me to get anywhere close to her.
She was hiding underneath the trailer.
She was just left down there and it was really really sad.
Won't ask questions, just my job is to now take care of her.
But I've been slowly trying to get her to like warm up to me and too the other dogs, but I can't just fully, like let her out of this creat thing that I have, you know, created for her.
Speaker 2Right because then she's just going to run back.
Speaker 1To where she came from.
So part of me is like this feeling of like vacillating of like should I have even taken her from down there or whatever?
But then Tony, who watches the ranch when I'm not here, she was like she would die down there because well, first of all, if I didn't feed her, but she would also die down there because it's only her that if like a bear comes or something like that, she she doesn't have help.
She can't like defend it all by herself.
So I know I'm doing the right thing.
I'm just my question for the listeners is if anyone is an expert in dog acclamation with other dogs is sort of like when do you know is the right time?
Because with the other dogs that I've had, they came from like the pound, or they came from other places where they've been used to being in a crate, So like you open up the crate and they're like whoo, like we're free, we can run around.
And this dog it's the opposite, Like she came from full reign of an area to now I have her in like it's like a oo exhibit.
It's not a crazy like, it's not like this small little area itself she's in.
I've seen it, yeah, But it's more about like how and when do you know?
So if you know anyone or you have experienced in this sort of like introducing a dog to a new place and hoping she doesn't run away, I would love some tips or some suggestions because it's just I don't know.
I know it's going to take a while.
I just want to know that I'm doing the right thing.
So how is it going.
What's the latest update?
The face that you said and you posted on your Instagram, I felt like she was saying thank you.
She didn't look scared, her upset.
It looked like it was like thank you, I hope, so thank you for saying that, because like all so, I go and have coffee with her in the morning, and then the afternoon we hang out with her and I put chairs up by a little crate and I just want her to like have like I want her to know that I'm there, and I bring the other dogs up with me, and she's really good when she sees the other dogs.
Then she'll come and she'll sit by like the fence line of the crate.
But I just don't know like how long or when I can open this thing.
So I've only I've only been with her for four days now, so I mean, we get it.
My patience level's not great, But don't you want to come out and play with me?
I'm like, look, we're so fun out here, but I just would love any suggestions for me.
I think it's going okay, but it's just a matter of like is it going to be four months?
Speaker 2Is it going to be like four weeks, four years?
Speaker 1So it's probably hard to like there's not a blueprint for how this could be handled.
This dog has never had a leash on her, so it's not like I can even like put a leak.
She won't even let me get close enough to put a leash on her where I could be like, oh, I'm gonna walk her around the property, because like with the other dogs we would do that, would take them out of the crate and walk them around.
I'm just afraid she's gonna like run away.
So that's what's happening over here.
But yeah, it makes me, it makes me feel better.
To know that I'm at least trying, but I want to know if I'm doing it right.
Yeah.
Yeah, we need an update on your pickleball situation.
Everyone's invested now, including me or not, but I appreciate everybody coming along.
Tim Ride, So we talked about last week I took a private I've been doing a bunch of these kind of beginner practices, a lot of fundamental teaching.
Shout out to Scott who's been helping me out.
Today Scott was a little hard on me because I was like, sorry, sorry, stop saying sorry, and I was like, you heard me, Scott.
Also, he was like, come on, we're showing confidence on my serp.
So it's going well, but it's I'm to unleash the hounds.
Scott told me it's time for me to play, like I need to play in a game.
I haven't played in any games.
Well, who's going to be your partner?
Have you talked about that?
Does he pair you up?
Like?
Is there?
Speaker 2Like he's not gonna just be like go find a game.
Speaker 1There's me to come tomorrow night because a bunch of people come for this social and I don't know if I'm ready at Kellerban's yeah, no are you No?
You can't just walk there alone, you can't walk up.
Actually, you know what, No, I think this might be good for you.
I think you need to show up, shoulders back, don't apologize and out who wants to be my partner?
Speaker 2Because I might be new here?
I competitive?
So what does it?
Speaker 1What do you mean meaning like all levels, all ages?
That's okay, that's okay.
Anytime I've played, it's always like been like with people that sometimes are really good and sometimes they're not.
I mean I'm not really good at all.
I just like, No, you're gonna be great.
I'm really proud of you for stepping out of your comfort one.
Just get on out there, maybe have atail and just get some liquid courage, and not too many so we don't pull a muscle and just go out there and start slinging around.
Hey, speaking of Dion, it is true, look good, feel good, play good, like I got.
I need the whole outfit.
I'm doing the skirt, I'm doing like the sword spra and the little thing, and I'm tucking it in.
Before I showed up and it was tucked out.
But then I saw my girl Nancy.
She tucks it in like I'm I even lotion the legs before I go, so we're not all wow like trying to be shiny.
Still looking down a lot, see if the muscles are forming, not too much.
I'm into my shin my starting position, a little bit of a squat.
Scott told me I need to put both hands on the paddle because my one hand I don't know what it's doing.
Yeah, what do I do with my hands?
What do I do with my hands?
This is good.
I wish somebody will Jarrett like, does he go down there and encourage you?
Or he goes in golds like he does, say he's very proud.
We went to went to a little dinner the other night and I just told everyone we felt like it was going to get a little wild.
I feel like I see a flailing hand behind me.
No that's me, And I say, guys, I can't be out too late, And they're like, why I go.
I have a pickleball lesson tomorrow And everybody's like, oh, pickleballs for old people who I'm proud of you.
It's something new that leads me to I believe Stevid brought it up.
He's like, I don't have any hobbies.
And I was thinking about that, and I was like, do I have any hobbies?
I love design, I love things like that.
Yeah you do.
Now pick a ball.
That's a hobby.
Can work out be a hobby?
Of course it is.
You have a bunch of different classes that you take.
You do more classes than anyone I know.
Speaker 2You have your Berries.
Speaker 1I love my community.
You have your community at Berries.
Yeah, of course.
So I was like, Okay, what are some of my hobbies.
I was like, I like design, I obviously love now at the ranch, I like horseback riding, like those thing.
Speaker 2Guess what my new hobby is going to be?
Speaker 1What?
Because it's one area of the ranch that I have really spent any time on you because there was other ones that were more important.
I'm gonna rip out the old garden that I have and I'm put in a new garden, and I'm gonna put in a greenhouse.
And Kathy Thompson, my mother has a green thumb like no other.
Speaker 2I sent you and.
Speaker 1Jared a picture of her yard because I was out there for the fourth My mother crushes anyone listening from Better Homes and Gardens or some magazine that has to do with flowers.
I need to get my mother's yard in a magazine.
It is so beautiful.
I love flowers, and so I bought all these magazines because you know, I could just go on the computer and look at Pinterest or whatever, but I'm like, I like flipping through magazines.
So when I was at the store before I came up here, I bought all these magazines on like little cute little gardens and stuff.
And I'm gonna make that a hobby of mine.
Speaker 2You know, I.
Speaker 1Want to be mass flowers.
You have one pickleball, but I can't do a durnal this season.
I'm not Gordon.
I'm not even up here during the season.
That's a good point, Okay, I feel better off season hobbies.
Off season hobbies.
Hey, I'm going to be a pickleball champion.
I'm a gardener.
I think this is a really funny story that you tell.
Or I called you the other day as you were getting your little bum up to the ranch and you were talking about your target stops before you go to the ranch.
And I've heard Steve tell the story.
He's like, we got so many fucking pillows at this place, Like, please tell because people can relate not so much having a ranch, but they can relate to the Target stops.
Will you please tell this story you guys, well, real quick, I will just tell you the kind of friend that Aarin is.
Aaron always, when she knows I'm driving up here, especially if I'm by myself, Scary always tells me to call her or let her know when I got here safely, which Scary so sweet.
And if I haven't told you that before, then now's the perfect time.
I think it's really nice of you.
And even when Steve was traveling back from London, you were like, is he home safe?
Like you're very sweet to make sure that your people are you know, good and good and secure.
Speaker 2So that's very nice for you, guys.
Speaker 1I love Target, Okay, not an ad, but like, think about all the shit you can get at so much.
I'm grocery shopping there.
I don't like grocery shopping, but we've talked about it before.
When I'm by myself, I can just live off saltines and a cors light and I'm ready to go.
But when I go to Target, I know I can get fruit there.
It's the only place I know where I can get outdoor furniture I can get my clothes that I need.
Target dress a door.
We'll probably twenty five bucks right here clothes.
It's one stop shopping.
And every time I go in there, I'm like, oh, okay, I'm just going to stop in for one thing.
No, it's not the Last time I was in there, the guy goes, WHOA, this is the biggest sale of the day, and I was like, oh, that's nothing.
Speaker 2For what I normally spend in here, it was like six hundred bucks.
Speaker 1I am going to go broke because of Target.
I buy the same things over and over again.
I don't need any more pillows, I don't need any Studio McGee baseholders, I don't need any more automans for my feet.
But I just keep buying stuff because I just love it.
I leave there feeling like how did I live without this stuff?
If I if I hadn't stopped there on my way to the Red what would I do without that new candle or that new pillow or that new watering can that I got.
It's just like it's my favorite place to go, and there's this real excitement that happens when I pull the cart out and I'm like, Wow, what is it going to be today, Like what magical treasure am I going to find today?
And then I get so excited just when I leave there.
Where do you go first?
What aisle first?
Oh?
I start?
I go, I just do every aisle I go.
I mean, I don't want to miss anything.
You go my pen new stuff, and then they I don't because they might move stuff around.
But I always know in the middle with the Joanna Gaines and the Studio McGee center, the home stuff is always sort of centered in the middle.
But I go, I go perimeter, and it depends on which target.
Then I got to get checking my clothes.
I have more Target dresses and work clothes and stuff like that from them because they got so much good stuff.
I don't know who those buyers are at Target, but they're doing a great job and I just love it.
What is the and I'll tell you on my end, what's one thing that you get at Target that you would never think you could?
Like?
What's one thing that you're like, whoa undercover?
Speaker 2But you what would undercover thing at Target?
Speaker 1Will you go?
Speaker 2Because I'm trying, I don't know off the top of my head.
Speaker 1I learned pretty quickly that they have really, really cute kids for a little or cute little boys clothes like they have cute little graphic t's.
There's this line called Cat and Jack that not an AD, but I'd be happy to do one.
They have these little like pants for the muffin that are adorable.
And by the way, that he can crap his pants, split his pants, do anything it.
It's fine, it's great.
Yeah, I love their kids clothes.
Off.
I don't even have kids, and I'll just throw some kids clothes in there, thinking like, hey, when I need to have that baby present, no problem, And you could I am uffing because there's I mean everything.
If I want my wine, no problem, go down the wine aisle.
There's nothing winer.
You guys have justin wine.
I can get my prosecco there, I can get my my white claws.
I get anything I need now everything everything is at Target.
I know this is not an AD, but I'm just telling you.
Speaker 2I look forward to it.
Speaker 1I think to myself, how excited I am when I get to go up to the ranch, mostly because I get to stop at Target and all the new things.
Speaker 2I'm gonna be back here right Yeah, costa.
Speaker 1Luna blanket, no problem, you need even add with these people, Ryan, she needs an ad with them.
Everything I need is a target.
Anyways, is this the last week in July?
I don't Yes, it's the twenty eighth today, Oh my gosh, and as we closed.
Speaker 2We are closing on our off season.
Speaker 1Off with their Heads.
Yeah, the twenty eight the next the next podcast that we film will be together, actually not together, but we'll be seeing each other later that day for the old fun excited Seminar.
I love it, I love you, I love you.
I'm excited to see the boys.
It'll be great to see them.
I've missed them.
One of my favorite things about going to the seminar is we always find our way for all of our group to just sit together at dinner.
And remember last year's dinner, it was like you me stray Howie Gronk Jewels Like the conversations that were being had were wild and fantastic.
Nothing ever will top Gronk though.
Two years ago at the seminar, we sit down and you're showing pictures of Mac as you should.
You have a two month old baby.
Okay, no, it hasn't even two months old.
He was like two weeks old.
We had in July then yeah, so he was like a brand new baby.
But either you're showing pictures and everyone's like, oh my god, it's so cute.
And Gronk looks at you and he goes, you look great.
I was just with you.
You go thanks, and he's like, no, I mean you just had a baby.
And he's like, You're like no, I like you tell the story better than I do.
But I was laughing so hard.
God, he's great.
Our boss was very sweet because Mac was just born, and yeah, we had the seminar and they put up a picture and congratulations and welcome Mack.
Speaker 2And Gronk was sitting in front of Chris at I and he turns.
Speaker 1Around and he goes, you had a baby.
I was just with you a couple of weeks ago at a shoot.
I'm like, via Sarah, get Roberto dreamed.
I love him so much.
He's the best.
He's like, you look great.
You're great.
Speaker 2God what a guy.
Speaker 1All right, girl, Well, I love you so much.
Speaker 2And Ryan, thanks for doing you later vacation, Ah, Ray, You're cute.
