Matt Zukowski's Shocking First Date
Episode Transcript
Hello, and welcome to Outspoken.
It's your dose of the hottest influencer and pop culture news twice a week.
I'm Sophie Torba and coming up on today's show, Matzakowski's shocking first Date.
The nominees for the twenty twenty five TikTok Awards are unveiled, and Molly May admits to having ongoing trust issues in her relationship.
But first, Chloe Zepp has revealed her son's pet snake has gone missing.
The OG influencer joked her house was for sale after the python escaped from the garage earlier this week.
Gay Oh, I feel on edge just thinking about this situation.
It's not even my house.
The snake in question is fortunately not venomous, though, but is known to buy.
So this thing's already bitten the children, well, it has.
Awkwardly, Chloe and Mitch revealed I think was last month that the snake had bitten Artie.
So they got it for Artie's fifth birthday, and they documented the moment where they surprised him with the snake.
Now, just to refresh your memories, he's five years old, and as someone who hates snakes, this freaked me out.
So Mitch came in with this little bag with the snake in it, and you could tell Chloe was ultra uncomfortable.
She even said she was a little bit scared.
And then he gets Artie to pick the snake out of the bag while his little brother Sonny is screaming and carrying on.
I'm like, surely this is not good for the snake.
I assume that this snake is going to appear in the family's new YouTube channel because they recently announced that they're going to have an adventure YouTube account.
Well maybe they're documenting this whole thing.
I mean, the snake can't really be in the channel if it's gone missing, because Chloe said she had searched everywhere for Firebolt, that's its name, and it was nowhere to be seen.
Do you reckon this snake's really gone missing or maybe Chloe and Mitch have got rid of it.
Well, the snake didn't really look happy living in their house, because Mitch shared this clip of Artie wanting to say good night to it, and he got this little set of keys out to open the door to give it a pat or something, and Mitch soomed up and the snake was literally Poe to strike and Artie was like, oh, he doesn't.
He's all coiled up.
I don't think I should pat him.
I'm thinking, oh my god, don't pat him at all.
Yeah.
I think if this was my child's pet, I'd be like, oh, sorry, they've gone off to live at a farm somewhere, far, far away, because oh my god, I couldn't think of anything worse.
I mean, it's not ideal that the snake is just loose in the house now, like God knows what it's plotting.
Speaker 2Good morning, Anna, We're just having some off air chats which can stay off air.
Where's your head?
Speaker 1Ash Matsakowski has hosted on speculation that he's moved on from his ex wife Tammy Hembro, confirming on his podcast that he's still single.
The revelation comes less than two weeks after a photo of him on a date in Adelaide went viral.
Tate it seems like Matt was left just as surprised as everyone else by the hard launch.
Yeah, it's pretty awkward because it turns out that he and Adelaide girl Emily Lawson were on a first date.
So to refresh everyone's memories, the internet went into overdrive when photos emerged of Matt doing a mirror selfie in front of an elevator with Normie Emily.
Now it was actually Emily who posted the selfie to her public Instagram story, alongside photos of their dinner and also a video of fireworks from a rooftop bar.
Influence updates Au first broke the story after receiving a tip off from someone who saw Emily's story, and it was pretty clear that Emily and her friends were very excited to be part of the Influence the goss Heaps of them were commenting on subsequent social media stories about it and tagging Emily we reckon that Emily sent it inner.
Wow.
I feel like the more I hear about it, it could be a possibility.
I mean, who takes a picture together on the first date.
I'm putting it out there.
I have never ever taken a photo on a first date.
I wouldn't take a photo with someone until we were official, and I definitely wouldn't be posting it all over Instagram.
I mean, this wasn't a little soft launch where maybe you post that you're out and about and you have their arm in the shop.
This was a full blown selfie with it.
Yeah.
I mean I thought the same thing about it being weird taking a photo on the first date.
But according to Matt's co host Anna McAvoy, she thinks it's quite normal, and she said that she always takes a photo on the first date just in case they end up together.
She actually has one from her first date with her husband Michael.
Yeah.
But there's also a difference between taking a photo and also making that photo public.
One, it would be embarrassing for the person you're on the date with to see said photo on your Instagram, because it's like you're telling everyone a look, we're dating.
Speaker 2Yeah.
Speaker 1And secondly, when the person has a public profile and they've only just broken up with their wife, you think you might be a bit careful about sharing that.
It seems like a bit of cloud chas thing's going on.
I think you're right.
I mean, initially when I saw it, I was like, oh, okay.
The fact that Emily Lawson felt confident enough to upload the photo, I was like, surely this is something quite serious, not a first date.
He's come out to see her in Adelaide, you know, they're doing long distance or something.
But listening to Matt, I got the vibe that it was a first and last date, and I don't really bl I would probably be questioning someone's motives if they did that on a first day.
Well, on a recent podcast he was on, he was asked about how he finds dating now that he has a public profile and whether he has to be careful about people using him for fame.
Evidently, it sounds like he does have to be a bit more careful.
It would be strange for Matt to be on the other side of things now because Tammy Hembro basically called him macloud chaser herself on a podcast interview last week, so you know, it seems to come around in full circles.
Listening to the podcast, it was clear that Matt had had this massive debrief off Mike about the whole situation with Anna, because he said he's been dropping bombs off air.
I'm very sad that they edited those conversations out because I would have loved to hear them.
In terms of what they did share on air about the situation, you could tell Anna was completely shocked when the photos emerged.
Let's take a listen to what she said.
We need to talk Yah, right because.
Speaker 3The sleep deprived mum.
I was just looking on their phone and I think I'm pretty sure it was in the middle of the night and I hadn't been on my phone like the day before, and then all of a sudden, I see so much garbage on the inn.
Speaker 1I'm just gonna call it garbage.
Speaker 3And everyone's like, that's hard launch.
Speaker 2Wait.
Speaker 3I know that you were in Adelaide.
I know that you were going on a first day.
How have we gone from you telling me you're going on a first day to now there's a hard launch out there.
Speaker 2Yeah.
Yeah, I was shook as well.
I actually woke up and saw that that as well, and I was like, hang on wait what.
I was like, I didn't hard launch anyone.
Speaker 1No.
Speaker 2So I was in Adelaide on getting some business done, and while I was there, I was like, I'll catch up with a friend.
Yeah, so we went out for dinner.
Really nice.
Adelaide is actually a really nice place.
Speaker 1A little bit off track, but it was really nice to hear both Matt and Anna talk so glowingly of Adelaide.
It was quite rare from Victorians.
It is.
I related to Anna saying that she's going through a four month regression at the moment, and it took her days to even see the news of this hard launch happen, and in the midst of a late night wake up call she saw it.
It sort of reminded me of when I first saw the news of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey getting together, only because I was up at three am to see that news be broken live, so she was a bit later to the story though.
Yeah, it seems like with newborn schedules, either the first or last to hear about this type of pop option years.
I'd love to know the conversation Matt had with his date Emily after her Instagram story made headlines.
I'm guessing he thought she was never going to post it, because he explained that the photo got snapped while he and Emily were waiting at the Lifts to go to the second rooftop bar that they had visited.
Anna did make a bit of a dig, saying that that photo should have been kept on her close friend's list, which I tend to agree.
It was clear that Matt wanted to clear things up and let the world know that he's single.
This is what he said.
Speaker 2Yeah, I woke up the next day and we'd hard launched, which is not the case and not the case at all, but yeah, it was pretty funny to see.
Speaker 3So she just put it in her story and then it got taken.
Speaker 2Got taken, and yeah, if people work fast this industry, they see something and they run with it and it gets legs and look, I'm actually gonna say I would.
I really appreciate some of the kind messages I got about it, but sorry, guys still thinking it was not that at all.
But I'm very nice girl as well, very nice, nice day.
Speaker 1I wonder if Matt's got a few girls on the roster who were like what the fuck when they saw the photo.
I feel like that would be a big motivated to clear the rumor's up.
I also think in terms of how he's faring since the divorce, as we've touched on before, he has this new puppy dog energy about him.
People seem to be liking Matt.
He's receiving a lot of apologies, and he probably wants to not look like he's moved on too quick and is mindful of that.
Speaker 2Yeah.
Speaker 1Well, in yesterday's episode of Wears Your Head at they're doing this thing where they dissect and I use that term loosely some headlines, and one of the headlines they chose to discuss was one about Matt caught out crying after Tammy was found to be the ambassador for Tinder, and He's like, oh my god, this is completely false.
I actually was crying because I watched a movie about a golden retriever and he was saying I definitely was not crying about Tammy Hembro.
So he seems more and more comfortable to talk about the situation.
I mean, he didn't name it.
They just kept saying his ex wife.
But I think it is only a matter of time before we hear a full breakdown of what's gone on.
Speaker 3Guys.
Speaker 1I mention that I've been nominated for TikTok Creator of the Year.
The nominees for the twenty twenty five TikTok Creator of the Year are in and Tammy Hembro is the front runner.
Did that surprise you it, Dick, because I don't really think of her as being a TikToker as such.
I just think of her as being an all round influencer, if that makes sense.
I think that on TikTok there's a lot of different niches and she's just sort of a personality, if that makes I get what you mean.
But she does have over two million followers on the platform, and she posts very different content than she does on Instagram.
I mean, she didn't even post her divorce announcement on Instagram.
That was purely on TikTok.
Yeah, but when you think about people who've won in the past, like Anna Paul or Indy Clinton, they've really made a name for themselves on TikTok through sharing everyday vlogs, whereas she made a name for herself obviously on Instagram ten fifteen years ago.
Speaker 2Yeah.
Speaker 1But in saying that having a big following on Instagram doesn't promise you a big following on TikTok, Like, there are so many creators like just off the top of my head, Sarah's Day, Steph Claire Smith who do not have the same following that they do on TikTok as they do on Instagram.
In saying that, I suppose Tammy has around seventeen eighteen million followers on Instagram and only two million on TikTok, But I think her videos are cutting through.
I mean they get millions and millions of views.
Yeah.
Well, as you said, Kate, she always seems to be dropping bombs on there.
Yeah, I mean, I think she's definitely going to win this award just looking at her following against the other nominees.
The only one I'm actually familiar with is Letitia Clark.
Her mum is kat Clark, who won the award three years ago.
But I think Tammy is a definite shoe in.
It is voted on by the public, and she's already put the call out on an Instagram page saying you can vote once a day.
I wonder though, if some of the smaller creators have more of an invested community of people who want to see them do well.
Quite often people don't really want to see the big dog win, and Tammy feels like the big dog in this situation.
Yeah, but I think TikTok probably want her to win, and of course they're in charge of the algorithm, so her video promoting the link to vote for her might appear to a lot more people than the other nominees.
Who knows, but I definitely think we'll see her accepting the award.
It's interesting it was only a couple of weeks ago that Indy Clinton opened up about that viral moment of her and Anna Paul presenting Creator of the Year.
It was an absolute mouzzle.
So for those who missed it, let's throw to it.
There were absolutely crickets afterward.
They was all very awkward, and Indy opened up about the experience on the Happy Hour podcast with Lucy and Nicki a couple of weeks ago, and it turns out that Anna Paul had been chosen over Indy to present the award, and that was despite the fact that Indy won the year prior.
So as the winner, you then get the honor of presenting the new win it with their award.
Yeah, Indy said she'd been looking forward to having that moment on stage and she was actually one of the hosts of the awards alongside Robert Erwin and Kat Clark, and so last minute it seems like the event organizers were like, Okay, you can go on stage with Anna Paul.
Reading between the lines, it seems like Anna Paul dropped past the rehearsals briefly for around ten to fifteen minutes, but that wasn't long enough for them to actually rehearse the moment.
Indy had been there all day, so minutes before the award was presented.
Indy was like quickly whispering to Anna, like, let's make it more dramatic ad pauses, but Anna ended up reading straight from the autocue.
Do you reckon that?
Indie?
Feels safe now to tell that story considering the huge cancelation of Anna Paul this year, because before she was seen as the sweetheart of TikTok and people would have come for her to hear anything negative.
Yeah, I definitely think so.
I mean it was actually at the twenty twenty four TikTok Awards that the crack started appearing for Anna Paul.
Remember she was on the red carpet and she said this really tone deaf comment when they asked her like who would you want to be?
Like what created would you want to be?
And she's like, oh, someone that has lots of money and flies around the world, and like, isn't that you already?
I wonder if she's actually going to show up this year.
It could be a bit of a rebranding exercise for her.
Yeah, well we have to wait until Wednesday, the twenty sixth of November to see if that happens.
The Awards are being hosted in Sydney this year, Sophie Monk is the host.
She is about to start hosting Love Island Australia.
Are you gonna watch that?
I'm not really a big fan of the Aussie version.
I prefer to what the UK Love Island.
That being said, the UK version has been pretty disappointing in recent years, and a lot of people send us dms saying, oh my god.
Last year the Australian version was epic.
You need to watch it again this year?
Hang on Love Island this year was really good.
What are you talking about?
It wasn't as good.
It wasn't as good.
I don't think it was.
To be fair, it was a little bit better.
But I've watched so many all Stars which have been disappointed.
Good.
Look.
I actually feel like it's a moment for you to eat your words, because a couple of weeks ago you were absolutely ripping into me about watching the Block.
You're finally watching it and loving it.
Yeah, it's my relaxation show now, Brandon and I.
As soon as Luke has been put to bed, we quickly put the Block on for a couple of hours because we have all of the episodes to catch up on.
So jealous.
I love it.
It's I haven't watched free to air television for a while, and yes it can be a bit overproduced and dramatic, but it's sort of the trash that I needed at the moment, and I kind of like it sounds good bad.
I like that it's got ads because you've got your time where you can be on your phone and then you can put it back down.
I'm really interested to see how the block auctions go on Sunday night because my dad, who also watches it, was telling me that there are some whispers that the houses aren't going to sell because they're just far too expensive for the Dalsford market.
Maybe we'll have to do a full block recap.
Look at me absolutely eating my words here now.
Speaker 4Yeah.
Speaker 1Some whople message us saying that they love it, so I was like, okay, maybe I have to give it a go.
Yeah, I'm going to put it out there.
If the houses end up selling, I'm tipping Britain TAZ for the win.
Speaker 4It's just this like shadow of the past that will always just sounds really deep, but like kind of come back and I'll warn.
Speaker 3Us a bit.
Speaker 1The second series of Molly May's docuseries Behind It All has shone a light on the current state of her relationship with boxer Tommy Fury.
Whilst the couple rekindled their relationship earlier this year, the UK influencer admits she has ongoing trust issues and is haunted by ghosts of the past.
Before we dive into that sofa, I want to hear your thoughts on the docuseries as a whole.
I loved every second of this.
I don't think it will surprise anyone.
As a Molly May stand, I couldn't get enough of it.
It was this real cross between a fly on the wall reality show and a documentary series.
I think that they managed to get that cozy, day to day vibe that Molly has in her vlogs, whilst also having just the right level of drama and conflict to get you hooked.
I feel like a terrible Molly may fan because I need to call myself out.
I actually haven't watched a single second of it.
I've seen a few reviews of it on TikTok and people have been saying, oh, it's no good, Like she's not likable, she's really out of touch, and that's rattled me because I'm like, I loved the first series of it, and I've actually been waiting to make a bit of a night of it and watch it with some nice snacks.
I just haven't had that moment so far.
Yeah, but this show was literally made for MOLLI may stands.
It wasn't made for the critics, and I think that people are being particularly critical of it now that it won all the previous series won an award.
I think also because it's a docu series, like people are taking it too seriously and like, oh, this isn't an David Attenborough documentary.
It's like no, it's just behind the scenes of her life.
Like it's a documentary of her life.
It's sort of an elevated version of her vlogs because it does really show her day to day life and it really goes into her experiences with motherhood and also her business ventures and of course the ups and downs of her relationship with Tommy, which everyone wanted to find out about.
See.
I think there's not as much hype about this series as there was the first series because there were still a lot of question marks about the status of Tommy and Molly's relationship, whereas we now know they're back together and personally I'm not that interested in Molly's brand.
Maybe I like the second series better than the first so far because I think there was a lot of patting happening with the maybe content.
We were expecting to hear a lot about Molly and Tommy's relationship, but instead we got this whole brand opportunity and the brand pushed down our throats, whereas it feels more organic when the brand has been mentioned so far in these first three episodes.
I wonder if it was a case of they filmed all this content that didn't make Tommy look very good, and then suddenly Molly and him got back together and they couldn't use it like it didn't make sense in the story arc.
It's interesting though, because in this later series the relationship with Tommy and Molly doesn't really look very rock solid, does it.
Speaker 3Yeah.
Speaker 1In this later series, she hinted that there are continuing trust issues between her and Tommy, and this was made very apparent when she went on a beach holiday to Wales with her best friend and their two kids.
So while she was away with Bambi, Tommy was back home in Manchester celebrating the release of his BBC documentary with his mates, and I wonder if Molly purposely went away during the launch of his doco so they weren't heaps of questions about where she was, so she could just say, oh, well, I've had this pre booked before.
That's why I'm not on the red carpet with it.
Well, they did end up having quite an awkward exchange over the phone.
Let's throw to that clip.
Speaker 4No, it's just fustranging.
I just feel like, you know, things are going to roar me up.
Tommy.
You think I don't know you after six years?
What are you talking about?
I'll speak to you another time.
Speaker 1That's that Mollie ended up hanging up on Tommy and told the cameras that she doesn't want to be a bore and Tommy should be able to do his thing.
That gave me the vibe that Tommy has been gaslighting her because I think she is well within her rights to be nervous about the fact that he's going to be out partying with his friends and there's alcohol around.
Because at the end of the last series, while she took him back, there seemed to be really no resolution about his behavior and nothing had seemed to change that much.
It was just sort of like, oh, we're back together because we love each other.
It was evident that he was on the piss there because she admitted that hearing the word alcohol made her tense.
I mean, we didn't actually hear Tommy's side of the conversation.
He has only appeared in this documentary as a pop up on FaceTime.
He didn't actually appear on camera.
Well, I wonder if it's because of his own documentary and the BBC, like maybe they've said you can't appear on the Prime one.
Well, it's interesting because a lot of people are reading into this line that Molly said.
She said that she's haunted by ghosts of the past.
Now, there were a lot of rumors when she and Tommy broke up that he had cheated on her, and there was actually also a rumor that he'd got a girl pregnant.
Now that was actually bullshit that one.
But people are saying, well, has he cheated If you're saying you're being haunted by ghosts of the past and there's these ongoing trust issues, I don't think that you can have a docuseriies like this if you're not going to be completely honest about the whole situation, Like, yes, it was very brave of Tommy to share about his issues with alcohol, but I almost feel like it was used as a little bit of an excuse to cover up anything else that has gone down between them, because it's clear there are still issues there that haven't been resolved.
Yeah, I can see why they haven't wanted to touch on it considering they have got back together.
Though.
What was very clear is just how tough this breakup has been on Molly.
She said that she suffered panic attacks and made the decision to go on anti anxiety medication.
So she's now on Beata blockers, which essentially slow her heart rate down and also lower her blood pressure.
Now, a clip of Molly's manager, Fran has gone viral.
Basically she's giving her a right bollocking about not creating promotional content for a brand, which was pretty surprising because Molly May is one of the UK's biggest influencers and I think she does brand content very well well.
This actually happened on the same beach trip, so Molly forgot to bring the product with her and instead of being upfront with Fran, she actually had previously lied to Fran and said that she'd already shot it, and then she disappeared for three days and didn't answer any of Fran's call.
So, as you said, okay, Fran went ballistic.
She is a bit of a ball breaker.
She was not happy they showed her on FaceTime and she told Molly that she'd let people down and that it's not like her and it was just really awkward.
So Molly ended up having to pack up all of their stuff leave this trip early, and she actually said to the camera crew, look, I know that you want to capture the chaos of us packing everything up, but we're not going to get out of here on time if you don't help.
So everyone put the cameras down.
But yeah, it did seem a bit out of character for her, and Fran was saying, oh, I'm just worried that you're too burnt out, Molly.
You're trying to be the best partner, you can be the best mum, that you can be the best business owner, and there's cracks appearing.
It was also an interesting insight into molly relationship with Fran.
They have referred to each other as their best friends.
Molly was a bridesmaid in friend's wedding, but clearly the foundation of their friendship is business, and Fran has to have these tough conversations with her.
I mean she's wanting her ten percent cut, isn't she.
I mean, I'm sure the Brown deal was massive.
Speaker 2Yeah.
Speaker 1Well, something else we learned in this stocco is that Molly and Tommy are still living separately.
So right before their breakup, they purchased a home which they dubbed their forever home.
It sounds like it's a ridiculous mansion and they were actually set to move in, but then suddenly broke up and Tommy ended up moving into that brand new house, whereas Molly still lives in the house.
I think is it called Molly Mason?
Is that what they call the house?
Ma?
Maison?
Sorry?
And since then, Bambi has been going between the two houses, and Molly admitted that despite the couple now being back together, Bamby probably feels like her parents are living these very separate lives.
And in this scene where her sisters Zoe, whose side note we need more in the documentary because she was really the standout star, well, I wonder if she has purposely recluded a little bit after getting backlash of being two in Molly's business, and also she didn't hide the fact that she's not Tommy Feury's biggest fan in the first series.
So now that they're back together, she's taken a bit of a back seat.
I mean, she has moved in with Molly since then, but it seems like she's just looking after the house when Molly's not there.
Well, Zoe and her husband Danny, they are moving out of the house soon and they are moving into their own house that they've built, and Molly was saying that she doesn't know what to do with her current house going forward.
She says she doesn't want to sell it and she doesn't want to rent it out because the house has become her safety blanket.
She said, it means that she's able to remove herself from a situation with Tommy if she needs to.
I mean, the fact that you need a backup mansion in case you have a fight just tells me that your relationship is not in a good plaace.
Yeah.
She described it as not wanting to put all of her eggs in one basket and said that it would be scary to get rid of the house because with Tommy she never knows what tomorrow is going to bring and she gets really inky.
She just thinking that she might wake up to this big problem that she can't remove her so from.
It didn't sound great well when series one concluded.
I think we all sat there and thought this is not going to work out well for them.
I'm like, we're happy to see them back together, but realistically they haven't sorted anything out well.
It was actually Zobe who was saying to her, Look, Molly, this isn't normal for Bamby to be going between the two houses and to not really know what's going on between you two.
You need to try living back with Tommy.
I wonder if she suggested that because she kind of hopes that maybe it'll end up with them breaking up.
I think she's the only realistic one in this situation.
It seems like Tommy and Molly are walking on eggshells around each other because they still want to be together, but they know realistically it's not going to work.
I mean, Molly even mentioned that she has chosen not to put her engagement ring back on yet, so she admitted that she doesn't feel quite ready to wear it again, and she wants Tommy to make some sort of gesture now.
She said she doesn't expect a full blown proposal, but she'd like him to plan, you know, like a nice romantic dinner out so she can have that moment where she's like, Okay, I'll wear it again.
I mean, that'sn't exactly hard to plan a nice dinner out.
Speaker 2It.
Speaker 1I don't know why he hasn't done it already.
She is saying that this is a full new chapter for her and Tommy, and again reiterated that they're back together, but things aren't perfect now.
Away from Tommy, the docuseries really centered around Molly's experience as a mum, particularly the intense mum shaming that she's been receiving.
We've spoken at length about the incidences on this podcast before.
Funnily enough, we were actually contacted by the Behind It All docuseries producers.
They asked if they could use a clip from our podcast, so we spoke about Molly and her secret nanny.
I was so excited by this.
I was like, does this mean that Molly may knows we exist?
Yeah, well, someone in her team.
The segment was actually from our subs episode and I was like, I can't even remember what we said, and we listen back I have the croakiest voice on it.
Anyway, they were really keen to have the clip, and then they ghosted us, so we got the vibe that I mean, they did it really well in the first series where they would have people popping up on TikTok or podcasts popping up, and they wanted to use a line that made it sound like we're being quite negative around the fact that it was revealed that Molly had this secret nanny, whereas we came back to them and said we were actually defending her decision to do so and felt it was a bit sexist that no one brought up the fact that Tommy also has a nanny for his daughter, So I think as soon as they heard that they were like, oh, we might be barking up the wrong tree with that one.
It was quite interesting because they offered us a fee to use the snippet from our podcast, and they asked us how much we'd want for it, and we were like, I have no idea what people would charge.
We went back to them and said, well, what's your budget.
They said three hundred pounds, which isn't too bad for like a tiny snippet of your podcast.
I actually thought considering it was a internetational licensing that it wasn't that much at all.
Was still six hundred bucks, Sami, we would have let the music for free, let's be honest, just to be on Mommy Master.
I was so excited.
I'm like, oh my god, everyone that listens is going to be thrilled for us that we're in the dog open.
Well, talking about the secret nanny, does she have one or not?
Well, yes, she does have a nanny.
And this was brought up when she was getting ready to go on a work trip for a couple of days to Saint Trepey and she was talking to her dad about it and he said, oh, who's going to be looking after Bambi whilst you're away, and she said, oh, we've got childcare covering some of the days.
She then told her dad that there's been all this speculation in the press about Bambi's childcare and whether she has a nanny, and she said that she never knew it was going to be blown into such a big issue, and to be honest, she had shied away from talking about it because she was really mindful that she didn't want to upsend any mums or make any of them feel less than and she confirmed that it's not actually around the clock care is just when she and Tommy are at work.
I think the difficulty with Molly and her job as an influencer is that her role is to be as relatable as possible, even though she is a multimillionaire who is super famous, and when you watch her vlog she seems like just your everyday girl, someone that you could be friends with.
So I understand why she probably shied away from talking about the fact that she has a nanny and in terms of how often she uses her.
And I think people probably see her day documented on YouTube and go, oh, but all she does is go down to the shops and watches movies at home or what she has a nanny to look after Bambi.
I don't think people realize, oh, she actually has a business that she needs to work at, like most mums go back to work after a period of time.
Yeah, And I think that it's more evident when you watch the docu series how busy her life is and the fact that she is this huge business owner and also has all these brand deals that she's got to manage.
At the same time, she said that having a nanny allows her to keep working and build her business and create this life that she wants too.
For Bamby, I think we also forget the fact that she's only twenty six years old and she's navigating motherhood for the first time.
She got a lot of flak for a potty training scene that was included in this documentary.
I saw people talking about that on TikTok because people were like, why did they film her in the bath and also on the potty, Like they censored it, but they were saying, well, what about the film crew that were there that you saw it all happening.
I do understand that, but I think it was actually a really clever way to juxtaposition this very glamorous lifestyle that Molly has with the struggles of motherhood.
Because in the scene, she has this pink potty training toilet set up in Baby's on sween and Baby just refused to go on there, and Molly had bought her this little bucket hat and some sunglasses and said only girls who used the toilet are allowed to wear these.
Anyway, Baby wasn't having any of it.
She hid in this basket and then absolutely lost it when Molly tried to put her on the toilet like it was very relatable for any parents.
It was an absolute shit show.
Pardon the b I mean, I get that that's good content, but personally, if I was Bamby, I don't think I'd be thrilled that this vision of me learning to use the potty was being aired to millions of people across the world.
It was quite humorous because she then put Bambi in the bath and Bambi ended up, of course, pooing in the bar and she's having to scoop out this disintegrating poo.
So, I mean, the thing that actually made me more mad was that Tommy then pops up on face time.
Oh how did you go, Bambi?
It's like, where are you?
Why are you not helping?
Speaker 2Yeah?
Speaker 1I read an article saying that the docuseries actually posed more questions than it answered, and it seems like by Molly letting this crew into her life when I think that there are a lot of unanswered questions that she wants to know the answers to in terms of her in a relationship with Tommy, and it's just come across as a little bit awkward.
Yeah, but again, this docuseriies has two parts to it.
So we've got three episodes that have been released.
Now, at the start of next year we have three.
I'm sure those three more are going to answer some of those questions.
I think it's actually set it up in a really clever way because it leaves you wanting more.
How long of these episodes are they around like the forty five to hour mark again or only about half an hour?
I got through them so quickly.
Well, that's disappointing.
Maybe I could have bloody watched them this week because I saw Molly talking about how she's taken this big hiatus from YouTube because she's been filming, you know, twenty four to seven to only have an hour and a half worth of content when some of her vlogs are around the thirty to forty minute mark each week.
Yeah, but I think it's quality over quantity.
The episodes were snappy, they kept you engaged, and I personally cannot wait for the second installment to drop in January.
Let's have a bit of a Friday debrief.
I want to know what your highs and lows for this week are, Sophie.
I think I already know your low.
Oh, it's definitely the four months week progression.
I touched on this in our Subs episode.
It's hit me hard.
I have been pre emptying it for a couple of weeks now.
It's not like you to be pessumists.
No, I've done a lot of reading about it because I was like, I just want to know when it's gonna hit, and I want to know when it's gonna end.
Unfortunately, there's not an answer to any of those questions because it is subjective.
Well, us just life with a baby.
I don't think that they don't come with a handbook.
Unfortunate, h I mean, Luckily, he's still sleeping really well overnight.
It's just his daytime naps that have been thrown off.
Literally it'll be thirty minutes and bang on the thirty minutes he wakes up and can't resettle himself.
He is learning so many things though, So my high of the week has to be the fact that he's put on a lot more weight recently.
He's looking a lot bigger, and he's just smiling and there's so much more personality now.
So, I mean, she's so gorgeous.
You've got to take the good with the bad, don't you.
My low of the week is that poor Amy has been sick.
She's been struck down by It's not the flu of COVI, but it's some nasty sort of coldy virus, and that's why she hasn't been on the show this week.
But it also means double the work for Sophie and I, especially those of us struggling with four month aggressions and children not sleeping during their naptimes, which is your only time to do some work.
It makes it tough.
Yeah, so poor Aim, she is starting to feel a lot better, but we haven't really seen her because she was away in Kangaroo, Ireland for a couple of days too, so I'm really missing her.
So that would be my low of the week.
My high of the week is sadly television related.
I know we talked about the Block.
I'm sad that the Block is basically over, but I've replaced that obsession so for you'll be excited by this.
With the Summer, I turned pretty well, I did sad watch the Block.
If you watch the Summer, I turn pretty and look, we should take each other's recommendations more clearly.
It's the first show in a long time where I don't even want to be on my phone, like I've got to be watching it, and it's so nice to actually be so invested in a TV show.
I'm at the end of the second series, and I've been told that the third series is by far the best, and that I didn't even have to bother to watch the first two.
I said to Brannon last night, I just can't wait for Kate to start watching the third series.
You're gonna have your socks blown off.
Speaker 2See.
Speaker 1It's annoying because I actually do know what happens at the end.
I won't spoil it for anyone else, but I do think it's fairly obvious.
Yeah, I know what happens at the end.
And I've been hearing everyone going on like, oh, I'm team Conrad, I'm team Jeremiah.
And I was surprised because towards the end of season two I was Team Jeremiah.
But I've been told that I will turn into team Conrad in season three because, not to give anything away, but they really make Jeremiah into a bit of a flog in season three.
When I first watched her, I was like, I don't rate any of these guys.
I don't think they're attractive.
I mean, probably because they looked really young.
But now I'm like, oh my god, they're both gorgeous, Like, which one would I choose from there.
That's the best thing about how the show's created is you almost feel like you're Belly and you're in the dialamma of Oh my god, they're both incredible.
I've got a bone to pick with Belly.
Why are you messing with these boys when their mothers just passed away.
I get so annoyed at her.
I'm like, you're causing this problem, and apparently I'm going to be even more annoyed with her by season three.
In season three, everyone turned on Belly.
I'm already turned on her now, not impressed with her behavior.
It's funny because she's the main character, but she's not the hero of the show.
The heroes of the show are Jeremiah and Conrad.
Yep, so I'm getting ready to be team Conrad because I always love an underdog.
Suddenly that he's the underdog on my own.
It flipped so much during the series.
It's so clever.
Yeah, I could talk about that show all day, but we probably should head off.

Artie's pet snake has been located.
You know what are the odds of that?
We just basically finished the episode.
I scrolled on Instagram and I'm like, oh, the snake has been found.
So it was actually hiding in a bag.
So Chloe has opened up the bag.
She wrote, Oh my God saw her pop her head out of this bag as I was going into my car.
This am anyone want a snake?
I think my snake mom days are over?
Sorry Artie.
Now in the photo, the snake again looks like it's about to strike.
Oh it's horrible.
I'm gonna have nightmares after this.
We should probably leave things there.
Thank you so much again for joining us.
