Episode Transcript

Speaker 1

Hello, and welcome to Outspoken.

It's your dose of the hottest influencer and pop culture news twice a week.

I'm Sophie Torbert and on today's show, we are finishing our influencer countdown.

Yes, so last time we counted from six to ten.

Now we're doing the top five, just to refresh everyone's memories.

Coming in at number ten was the Steph Claire Smith Uber eats deal which featured her son Harvey.

Even though they no longer show his face, it was quite contentious.

His face was very creatively concealed during that ad.

Sharing ninth spot was Olivia Rodgers and her ex husband Justin mckinn's separate pregnancy and OUs to other people yeap.

Then an eighth spot was the Sabi artwork controversy.

One of the owners of the company was accused of painting over an artist's artwork.

Then in seventh spot we had Georgia Love and Lee Elliott's divorce signaling the fact that love is dead.

That was very upsetting and coming in at six spot, my personal favorite was Molly May and Tommy Fury reuniting, so there is hopefull Lee and Georgia now coming in a fifth spot, as voted by Outspoken.

Is Indy Clinton hiring a PI to expose her trolls?

Speaker 2

Now?

Speaker 1

She put her trolls on warning in May after experiencing relentless online harassment over her nose job.

So she called in reinforcements in the form of a private investigator.

Yeah, so she broke the news about the PI during a Q and A.

She wrote, the anonymous accounts and the faceless people hiding behind them need to be held accountable.

I'm here to make a change for my children, your children, your nieces and nephews.

She then went on to say, no change is made if no change is done.

I'm here to make an impact and a difference.

I'm absolutely shocked at who these people are.

That's all I can say for now, as it's an ongoing investigation.

Now a month later, and this was literally the weekend before I was about to give birth, Indy rather dramatically returned to her stories to share the results that her PI had uncovered.

And I was devastated by the time in because I wanted to be all across this, but I missed out on this episode.

That bit of a fun fact for you.

Now, over a glass of wine and I say a glass.

Perhaps it were several glasses, because Indy did confirm that she was quite intoxicated by this stage.

She revealed that her PI had delivered her a sixty four page report containing detailed information about her most prolific trolls.

So she declared to her trolls, let me tell you you are not anonymous, because they literally have every fucking detail she wanted to say that she knew specific details about her trolls, including their Australian business numbers, where they gave birth, their tattoo designs, and even the names of their kindecologists.

That's a lot of personal invation here.

Now.

The report also uncovered that, disturbingly, the majority of Indie's trolls were from Melbourne and were mothers.

Speaker 3

Now.

Speaker 1

In the end, Indy took the highroad and said she wouldn't be naming or shaming.

She said it just wouldn't beneficial for anyone to do so.

It really did seem to spark a movement though online, particularly because only a few weeks later the owner of tattle Life, a notorious hate forum, was unmasked.

Coming in in fourth spot is Sarah's Day's canceled perfume collaboration.

This one was huge.

So in July, Sarah announced her collaboration with fragrance brand who Is Elijah was over.

Sarah was set to launch her own signature perfume with the Australian Fragrance House and had been documenting the process to her one point two million followers.

She ended up sharing the news on her Instagram story and it didn't take long for things to get messy.

So she claimed that she had been working on the collaboration for two years after the brand reached out to her to make a fragrance.

Sarah said that she felt she owed her followers an update as she had documented the entire process.

Let's take it a loft.

Speaker 4

I just wanted to sit down and update you guys on something you've been asking me a lot about, and that is my collaboration with who Is Elijah.

So two years ago they reached out to me to make a fragrance with them, and as you know, I have documented the entire process.

You guys have come along on the journey and we were all really excited and unfortunately it's no longer happening.

And I'm sure you're asking why, and honestly, we are asking the same question.

I don't have the answers for you, unfortunately.

I know that might sound really confusing or frustrating that I don't have more to give you, but yeah, I'm just as disheartened, I guess as you guys, and I was really excited about this collaboration.

But it's just not happening.

That is, unfortunately the update.

However, I am working on a bunch of other exciting things, so let's just focus on those.

Speaker 1

And forget that ever happened.

Speaker 4

I wipe it from my mind, wipe it from all about memories.

Speaker 3

Okay, you get things, don't.

That's love, that it's fun.

Speaker 1

A few hours after Sarah's announcement, Raquel Buris released her own statement on Instagram.

In it, she said that they all have so much love and respect for Sarah, and the decision to pause the collab wasn't random or without reason.

She said, as the brand grows into international markets, they've had to make some tough calls to stay focused on global plans, which meant shifting their resources towards retail expansion and other internal priorities.

Despite both parties having their say, it wasn't the last we heard from Sarah, so Sarah's real started to go viral.

It attracted over one point two million views and five hundred comments, and the comment section itself turned into an absolute free for all, with Sarah's fan slamming who is Elijah.

Sarah also didn't hold back in the comment section, so while she was quite constraint in the video, she was dropping the extra details and digs towards the brand, it was clear she was very angry and upset that the collaboration had ended.

Yeah.

In the comment section, she revealed that she learned the collaboration was over via an email and sid it felt like she was being strung along for free promo and content.

She also alleged that she didn't receive a dime for the collaboration and everything she did was in good faith because she was committed to the project.

She even labeled the situation ikey and wrote, Honestly, it's not about the money for me, It's about the time and the sneakiness of it all.

Just using the word sneaky, you can tell how fired she would have been.

She even told a follower that she'd kept the sample of the sense she created just to make sure that who was Elijah didn't release it under a different name, adding honestly, I would expect nothing less from them at this rate.

She also complained about the brand taking valuable time away from her and her kids.

She wrote, it's about the time wasted and robbed when I was having someone else hold my baby so I could work on it.

Time is the most valuable commodity, truly.

I kind of get that now as a mum, though, Like anytime you do have away from your kids, you are furious if your time is wasted.

I'm not saying it was in this case, but I kind of I feel like I get Sarah's Day more now that I'm a mum, but that you're exhausted and trying to work a job at the same time as parenting.

I actually feel like there has been a bit of a swing and more people like Sarah's Day now, Like I think people are sort of over the cancelation or the canceling of influences.

Yeah, I think cancel culture has been left in the early twenties and we're moving towards people just being exhausted over this constant cancelation of people and being like, if you don't like it, unfollow it.

See I was listening to the episode that you guys it would have been a few weeks now recorded about Sarah's Day's luxury beach house, and you guys had the conversation where you were talking about that people think that we hate Sarah's Day.

I love her videos.

I used to get criticized for being too much of a Sarah's Day, Stan, But as you said, I think that there are some areas where she has gone wrong, and obviously we have highlighted that and spoken about that in death on the podcast.

You can like someone but be disappointed by the content that they put out.

It's not particularly that I would use the word like her like.

I would say I enjoy her content, and I have been following her for you know, seven or eight years now, so she seems like someone you know and you're following along.

It's kind of like a friend of a friend.

You don't necessarily like them, but you're interested in their life, Like when you catch up with your friend, you want to hear the update of what's going on with that person.

See I just I have loved her life style from the get go.

I love her the interior of her house.

All vlogs feel great Anyway, let's get back to this.

So in the comment section, one fans comment ended up triggering a war of words between Sarah and the CEO of Who Is elijahs So, Sarah's follower wrote, seems pretty deceitful and sneaky.

They just used you for free promotion if you signed a contract, can you sue them?

And Sarah ended up liking the comment and replied, Unfortunately, I just started making content in good faith because I was so committed and excited.

Contract and wrongdoing is only really useful once the product was launched.

Now, Who Is Elijah CEO Adam Boris, who is Raquel's husband, entered the chat.

He wrote, Sarah, this is absolute rubbish and you know this.

You are fueling this with a false narrative.

Sarah replied, would you like me to forward you the email my team was blindsided with after two years of working on this collab, and he wrote back.

Things happen in business, Some things work and some things don't, and we move on.

That is business.

We apologized for the change in direction and offered to still do the perfume under your own brand, completely your own, which we fully supported, which was immediately rejected.

I won't stand and watch you gaslight your own followers here and talk badly about my team.

I would tread carefully here.

Oh those are fighting words, aren't they.

Sarah's husband Kurt then entered the chat himself.

He fired up writing to Adam, tread careful as you threaten a woman.

Come on, mate, Sarah hasn't said a single bat thing about the two of you, the team, or the brand.

She has simply let her community know that it's not going ahead, which, considering she has shared pretty much every aspect of her and my family's life for the last eleven years, it's a pretty normal thing now.

A couple of days later, Raquel ended up releasing a very eloquent response to her Instagram story, which did receive a lot of praise at the time.

So In it, she explained that she wasn't initially going to respond, but she felt she had to say something after someone with such a huge platform was encouraging bullying and spreading false narratives about her brand.

That was a very strong comment.

She continued, saying that who was Elijah ended the contract well within the agreed terms and there was no breach.

She also confirmed that she personally sent the email to Sarah to end the collaboration and what she received back from Sarah was unprofessional.

She then went on to say that Sarah's claim that she worked on the project for two years was simply untrue.

She also went on to say that who Is Elijah was responsible for everything, including the fragrance, sampling, manufacturing, logistics, and compliances.

She said Sarah's involvement stopped at the sampling stage, and she finished up by saying what Sarah said was deeply misleading and harmful.

Coming in in third spot is Indy Clinton's nose job.

So back in March, if you'll believe it, Indy revealed on TikTok that she was set to go under the knife to fix a bump on her nose from a past surfing accident, and she revealed that she actually considered hiding the surgery from her followers, which in hindsight is quite interesting because I do not think that this would have gone unnoticed.

Well no, but I think her initial thoughts of hiding it stemmed from the fact that she actually did a similar thing when she got breast in plants a couple of months earlier.

So she announced on social media that she was going to take a bit of a break from the app because she hadn't had a holiday in so many years, But it turned out she was actually getting a breast augmentation, and when she returned to social media, she admitted, Okay, that's what I've done.

But she explained that she didn't want to be seen to be promoting it and documenting it to her young, impressional followers.

Yeah, and in terms of wanting to hide the nose job, she said it came out of fear because she didn't want judgment overlooking like she was again promoting more surgery.

It's almost like she knew what was coming, though it feels that way.

She made the decision not to document the procedure, but she was inundated by followers who wanted her to do a grand nose reveal.

Now.

In April, Indy ended up sharing the results of her nose job, and at the time, she prefaced that she was very swollen, as she was only two weeks post off and it would take several months to heal Instantly, she was inundated with negative comments and a barrage of hate, with followers saying that the nose job had ruined her face.

One user wrote, it's one of the worst jobs I've ever seen.

Half her nostril was a cut off, whilst another said she's ruined herself.

She was naturally beautiful, she didn't need surgery.

The online bullying became so intense that Indy had to shield her nose behind a face mask when she appeared online, and she did take a bit of a break from social media now.

At the end of July, Indy addressed the huge reaction to her nose job in a candid TikTok video.

She admitted that she wasn't happy with the results of the surgery and that she didn't ask for the nose she currently has.

She said, do you think I asked for this?

Genuinely?

Let me make it clear for you guys, I asked for minor tweaks.

I'm Italian, I had a Mediterranean nose.

I love that.

That was what we agreed on.

Does it look like I've had minor tweaks.

There's your aunt'swer ladies and gentlemen.

Now, seven months after unveiling her new nose, Indy revealed that she was set to have corrective rhinoplasty, so in a tearful video, she said she felt sick to her core about the impending surgery and at PTSD from the first operation.

She also revealed her nose would have to be reconstructed during a four hour surgery where surgeons would have to take cartilage from her rib to support her nose again.

It sounded extremely painful.

Speaker 2

Yeah.

Speaker 1

She also showed the camera that she was struggling to breathe out of her nostrils, which was new information.

At that stage.

No one knew that that was the case.

I have a feeling a big story we may be reflecting on at the end of twenty twenty six could possibly be impending legal action.

It appears Indy is set to take on the initial surgeon.

She hinted this when she was on the red carpet at the TikTok Awards and also in her comments section that legal action is imminent, so we will have to wait and see.

Now on a preface, we are recording this right before Christmas, and yesterday Indy jumped online to tease her nose reveal, so she has already had the surgery done.

I really wasn't expecting this from Indy, so she actually uploaded a screenshot from her TikTok and in it there was like a video saying my nose reveal, but she covered the results with a nose emoji and she put a link sending her followers from Instagram across to TikTok.

Fifty five thousand people actually clicked on that link.

However, they were very disappointed to find out that they had to shell out one hundred and nineteen dollars in order to see it.

So Indy actually has a subscription channel on TikTok and she was only letting her sub see the nose.

I'd like to know if anyone who's listening actually paid one hundred and nineteen for the month, because that seems to have been an astronomical amount of money.

Well, I was interested to see how many subscribers she actually had on a TikTok and it was around the seventy mark.

And it was interesting because influencer updates Au said she took a screenshot of when Indy first posted the story teasing the nose job, and it only appears that fifteen people actually paid the one hundred and nineteen dollars.

That's how much her subscriptions had grown within the first day.

Also, she's made one thy seven hundred and eighty five dollars off it, so I mean, not terrible for a day's work.

Now, well, I don't think it's worth it though, because it probably annoyed a lot of people.

I wonder if it's got something on there that you can't screenshot, because that's when you're done.

Like person who shares it now.

In a Facebook community one yearser wrote, Wow, is it just me or does this feel ridiculously high?

I get she may be wanting to make a tactical move to cash in on people wanting to see the nose reveal and filter out the trolls, but wow, it's a good point about the trolls.

You kind of think, fuck you.

Well, I was like, there's no way I'm going to pay for that, So I instead decided to spend my time looking at her videos very closely.

The most recent one she uploaded because her daughter's Soul celebrated her second birthday.

And it's funny because we chatted about it on the podcast.

Indy said that she'd be changing her daughter's birthday to be the twelfth of December rather than the eighteenth, but it seems like they celebrated on the eighteenth.

Anyway, I wonder if it was all a bit of a diversion for the nose job.

Who knows, But anyway, there was a very quick shot of Indie holding soul where I could see the nose and it looks beautiful.

I saw a screenshot of the Influence updates shed and you can basically see it, and she looks incredible.

I feel so relieved and happy for her.

It looks like she was born with the nose.

I mean, I know I've only seen a quick glance of it, but it actually looks more like her nose than her original nose.

Look like if that's a thing.

Now coming in in second place is Tammy Hembro and Matt Zakowski's divorce after just seven months of marriage.

Now, so for you put this top ten together and I am actually quite surprised that this isn't in top place.

Can you explain to the listeners why this is second?

Speaker 3

Look?

Speaker 1

For me, it came down to numbers in terms of downloads, So I don't want to give away what the top spot is, but those episodes were our most downloaded episodes, so that shows that listeners cared most about this other topic.

Yeah, well it was pretty close because I mean we ended up doing a five part series.

I actually put that series together, so I feel like I needed a PhD and Tammy hembro at this point, and those episodes were very highly downloaded.

So probably collectively from all of that content, Tammy's divorce was for me.

I'm pretty confident with what I've chosen as the top story of twenty twenty five.

I want our listeners to let us on our Facebook community if I've got it right.

Maybe because everyone expected this to happen, whereas with the top story it was pretty undigsted.

Yeah, that's a good point.

Now, this well wind romance captivated the attention of so many followers due to all of the ups and downs.

I mean, we saw the engagement in the Maldives that was only after three months of dating long distance I preferce there.

Then there was the Grand Prix cheating scandal, as well as the couple constantly unfollowing and following each other.

And in June, after months of speculation, Tammy made the announcement on TikTok, saying this.

Speaker 2

I have tissues, not about my makeup, okay, so I wanted to finally tell you guys that I am going to be getting a divorce.

Oh my gosh.

I feel like, oh my gosh, this is giving me summer anxiety.

Oh my god, I'm worrying.

I know a lot of you have been.

I know a lot of you have been, you know, following my journey for years.

So I wanted to be open about it.

And you know, I do feel like for me, addressing with you guys is sort of therapeutic, like it's sort of like the next step for me.

I guess it's not.

I don't want to get into details, and I just you know, I'm not one to try and like bring anyone down.

I don't want to, like, I just want to be sensitive to everyone involved.

I don't want to talk about anyone other than myself.

To be honest, did I think this was it's going to happen?

No?

Did I want this?

No?

Obviously, when you marry someone you like, you do it thinking, oh my god, we're thinking that it's going to be forever.

And I blame no one but myself, to be honest, I feel like I've made not the best choices when it comes to relationships.

Speaker 1

So if I want to know, where were you when you heard the news.

I feel like it's one of those moments, those pivotal moments in someone's life.

I actually cannot remember.

And I say this because I was a couple of weeks postpartum and I think maybe due to some PTSD, I have blocked out that time in my life.

See.

I was driving in the car and I don't advocate looking at your phone driving, but a message popped up.

A follower sent us the TikTok video.

I had to pull over to have a look at it.

I had my son in the back of the car.

My husband had just gone to Sydney, so I was looking after my son for three nights by myself.

I was dropping my son off at my mum and dad's house to babysit while I went to a baby shower, And in the midst of it all, I was like, I need to screenshot this and upload it to Outspoken, and I'm glad I did because that video went off in our platform.

People to this day still message us thinking that we're tammy because of that video.

There must be someone on dating apps who is pretending to be tammy, because there's all these old men who were like, baby, why won't you respond to me, why would you meet up with him?

But in an interview on Johnny Twincy and Lucky Ricky's podcast, she mentioned that there is a guy who is being catfished by someone pretending to be her, so she's aware of it, which would be really awkward.

Anyway, back to the divorce announcement, Tammy said that she never wanted or expected to break up with Matt and thought that their marriage would last forever, but she conceded that there was no other option but to divorce.

Tammy also revealed that she was currently in therapy and said that she realizes she has a lot of growing to do now.

A few hours after Tammy's announcement, Matt posted his own statement to his Instagram story.

He wrote, it is with a heavy heart that I share that Tammy and I have decided to separate.

Both of us have struggled with making this decision.

However, we need to do what is right for ourselves and her three children.

This wasn't a decision we took lightly.

Our time together will always be cherished and never forgotten.

We appreciate everyone's support and space at this time as we navigate the split.

I find it quite funny that they said, we appreciate the space because I don't think anyone gave them space.

No, No one gave them space.

I mean we definitely didn't.

Speaker 2

No.

Speaker 1

I mean it was great timing to release our five parts off the back of it.

Now.

I want to know, Sophie, who do you think won the breakup?

Well, even though Matt was really painted as the villain throughout this relationship, I think that the public sentiment really started to turn and people started to sympathize with him.

That didn't happen instantly, though, because I think it was a day after they went public with the divorce, Matt was spotted out at an NFL event with Taylor Little, a blonde journalist who looked a lot like Tammy hembro.

People were like, we knew it, you know, people were thinking that he cheated.

But the tide definitely has turned.

I think a big part of that was the fact that Tammy was spotted very early on as well with AFL Heartthrob Bailey Smith.

That relationship, as we have documented very closely on this podcast, fizzled out.

Yeah, it was quite a crashing blow for Tammy because they were papped, I believe in August, so they were spotted kissing and holding hands at a Gold Coast venue and then papped together.

And then I think two weeks later, they both shared that they were out at dinner together on Instagram, so Instagram official, and everyone was like, oh my god, so she's coming to the Brownlow.

There were a lot of whisky Instagram official as such.

They just shared that they were dinner together.

Yeah, but his hand was on her legs.

It was a lot, but yeah, people assumed, oh my god, that means Tammy Hembro is coming to the Brownlow.

But in a very crushing blow ahead of Football's Night of Nights, Bailey told the Kyle and Jackie O Show that he and Tammy were just mates and he would not be bringing her as he didn't want to bore her with footy talk.

What an ultimate burn there.

I know.

I felt so bad for Tammy in that moment.

But since then, she has been spotted getting quite cozy with the head of her management company that was at a fast fashion event.

Then she's gone completely Mia.

She's gone and filmed for this reality show called Shark, but she's back online.

She's already been causing a stir pre Christmas.

There were rumors that she was with another guy.

He ended up being her actual manager, who was also a part of his management company.

Well, the thing is, I think that people have seen Tammy's behavior being deemed her behavior as being attention seeking because shortly after her divorce, she also posted a string of videos alongside her baby daddy Rhyese Hawkins, and people thought it was a bit a bit unfair because he'd recently got into relationship with Live Kelly, which has subsequently gone to shit.

Live Kelly's now back with her ex Jamara google Hagen, so it's all very messy.

I think we actually need to draw up one of those like family trees of all of the relationships that involved Tammy Pembrow and her exes, like it would be this dis influencer web we do.

It's quite interesting because initially Matt said that he wasn't going to touch on the divorce or anything to do with Tammy, But as soon as the Bailey Smith news went public, he backtracked and he suddenly started talking about how the relationship impacted his mental health and how he felt about it all.

And I think people appreciated him being so open and honest about it, and he started to kind of have this puppy dog energy about him.

Yeah, I mean it started to win us over.

It'd be interesting to see how he goes next year.

I wonder if he might fade into obscurity a little bit.

Well, after seeing how many downloads they get on their podcast, I feel like that might be a thing now coming in in top spot.

Drummer Allso is the cancelation of TikToker Anna paul So.

In February, the beloved TikToker and OnlyFans creators reputation was in tatters following explosive claims made by her former friend and fellow creator Mikayla Testa.

So this bust up dominated Millennial and gen Zetters for you pages four months, with a level of the scandal being compared to the twenty nineteen Taddy Westbrook and James Charles drama.

Now.

The drama was first ignited when Anna told her followers she would be randomly gifting cash rewards to new subscribers who signed up to her Only Fans account.

This is where Mikayla Tester entered the chat.

She slammed her former friend on Instagram, accusing her of running an illegal lot and taking advantage of children.

She then proceeded to unfollow her.

Now, this came as a real shock to the public because despite Michayla breaking up with Anna's brother Addas several years earlier, the women still seem to be on good terms with each other.

Yeah, I remember being surprised because they were still leaving pretty nice comments on each other's videos.

Now, things escalated further when Michayla uploated an eight minute video making explosive claims about her former friend.

So Michayla called Anna calculated, manipulative, and evil, and alleged the popular TikToker doesn't care about her fans.

She told a story about an encounter Anna had with a fan, claiming that she called the fan annoying and gross and said that she didn't want to hug her because she was quote fat and quote sweaty.

Michayla also accused her of lying about her upbringing, so a big part of Anna's appeal was the fact that she had this rags to Richard's story.

However, according to Mikayla, Anna allegedly grew up in an upper middle class family.

Mikayla also made some very big accusations about her ex boyfriend Addis Paul, which we will go into in a second.

But for almost a week, it was radio silence from the pool camp until Anna uploaded her own eight minute TikTok declaring she felt broke growing up.

Let's take a listen to some of what she said.

Speaker 3

The second one is that I lie about growing up broke.

Now, I do not lie about the fact that I grew up broke.

I when I say I grew up broke, that is my experience.

That is how I felt.

When I can hear my parents talking in the kitchen that the budget for the groceries that week is thirty dollars, it makes me feel broke when we kind affords gre uniforms.

It makes me feel broke when I'm eleven.

When I'm ten and all my friends can afford something and my parents can't, it makes me feel broke when they say, oh, I don't know how we're gonna afford rent next week.

That makes me scared.

It makes me feel broke.

That does not mean that I was the most broke person on earth.

There are definitely people in way worse situations.

But that does not mean that I'm lying about the fact that I felt broke during those times.

Speaker 1

While this story was very serious, it was pretty funny because DJs began remixing Anna paulse I felt broke line into songs and it was became this trending sound on TikTok with users miming to it.

I mean, you can see why I got such a big reaction because she was essentially saying that being poor as a mindset, it was just ridiculous.

Now, in the video, Ana also denied calling a fan fat, but she actually seemed to land herself in more hot water saying this.

Speaker 3

The first thing I want to address is that apparently in twenty twenty one, a fan came up to me and we hugged, and after she's walked away, I said, oh my god, she was so fat and sweaty.

Now, I do not call my fans fat.

That's not who I am.

That's not what I saandple, that's not what I've ever stood for.

But you youre's no big sure, that's.

Speaker 2

Not what I stample sweaty.

Speaker 3

However, I may have called her sweaty because when somebody is wet and they touch you and then they leave, and when you're with your friend and you are now wets because of them.

You may say I am now wet again.

This was four years ago, but that may have happened.

And I also know that people would have hugged me, walked away and said.

Speaker 1

Anna Paul was sweaty.

Speaker 2

That does not make them a bad person.

Speaker 3

That's just them pointing out that after two people touched, they are now sweaty or wet.

Speaker 1

Yeah, she definitely dug a deeper hole for herself, declaring that after her meat and greet she had to wipe herself down with wet wipes to get rid of the bo smell from fans, like, you know, way to make it worse.

Yeah.

Now, this drama was taking up a notch when Mikayla dropped a three part tell all podcast about the polls.

And I don't want to downplay how huge the first drop of Mikayla's podcast was.

This was all over TikTok and people were posting about the snacks that they were preparing to eat in front of it.

It felt like this was this real moment that everyone was tuning in for at the same time.

Yeah, and collectively the episodes went for six hours and we covered them in depth.

But let's quickly run through some of the main takeaways.

So Episode one was incredibly explosive.

In it, Mikayla provided receipts proving Anna and Adas didn't grow up poor, presenting photos of them growing up in a waterfront home and wearing designer clothes.

She also alleged that Anna fat shamed her own beloved ex boyfriend, Glenn Thompson.

There were also claims that Anna and Adas had a weird dynamic and that he shot her only fans content.

Michaela also claims that she was financially abused by Adis Paul, with him taking a fifty percent cut as her manager for doing very minimal work.

She also then made very chilling allegations about domestic and emotional abuse at the hands of Addis, which for legal reasons we cannot go into.

She did speak about an incident where Adis allegedly held a knife to his own throat and threatened to harm himself if she left him.

They're all very chilling allegations, won't they Yeah.

She also alleged that Adias tried to silence his ex girlfriend Alice Patterson, who spoke out about him in twenty twenty one.

Alleging he took advantage of her.

She was thirteen at the time when they were dating and he was sixteen.

Now The Smoking Gun was an unedited version of the poll's statement about the incident at the time, where Adas joked that for most of their relationship he barely thought that she was hot.

It also showed that Anna was aware of a fake cease and desist letter that they previously denied having any involvement in, and it also showed her admitting to driving to Alice's house to confront her.

Yeah, and if those allegations weren't explosive enough.

In episode two, TikTok Girl Sofa Dophah was dragged into the controversy, with Mikayla accusing Anna of making derogatory comments about her appearance and social media content.

So According to Mikayla, Anna would allegedly comment on Sofi Doph's supposed close set eyes.

Now, Sofa wasn't the only influencer in the firing line.

Mikayla claimed that Anna and Adams would regularly make fun of TikToker Jack Cooper, who was an Anna Paul super fan.

She also allegedly made derogatory comments about Isabelle Clark.

Michayla also accused Anna of mistreating her pet birds, alleging the birds were kept in their cages and only led out to film content.

Now, in the final installment of Michayla's podcast, she spilt the tea on Anna's relationship with her new boyfriend, Amrik Obaane.

She alleged that Amrik's parents owned the stables where Anna's horse was kept, and that the two met whilst he was working at the stables.

Now, Michayla alleges that emotional cheating took place as Anna was still with her long term boyfriend Glenn at the time.

She also used this episode to champion the voices of Addis's other alleged victims.

Now.

At this point, everyone was waiting for a comment from Team Paul and Anna and Adis broke the internet when they responded to Michayla's podcast allegations, bringing apparent receipts of their own.

Yeah, Adams came out swinging.

In a written statement, he accused Mikayla of you using their toxic relationship as a weapon to destroy his sister and assume her life, and also said she was setting out to be Australia's biggest influencer.

He did then take some accountability, saying some of the stories Mikayla told about him were true, whilst others were absurdly exaggerated.

Now Anna also responded in a lengthy twenty six minute video entitled enough is Enough.

In it, she denied the long list of supposed lies Michayla ed on her podcast, basically refuting every claim that she made.

She also tried to assassinate Michayla's character and claimed she wanted to show people how she actually treated Michayla during their friendship, and did so by sharing a screenshot discussing Michayla's schizophrenia.

It's interesting that the top story of twenty twenty five was the cancelation of Anna Paul.

Yet I have felt the tits turning in terms of people getting over this witch hunt against influences.

I think, particularly Indie Clinton has shifted the narrative and said, okay, hang on influences of people too.

I get trolled, you know, unmasking the trolls.

I think there has been this shift and people are a bit more empathetic to influences there.

But that being said, I think that these claims that michaela made were so serious in nature that I'm so glad that people did take notice.

But in saying that, I mean we say she was canceled.

Okay, you know, she's had a very tough year.

But in saying that, she hardly lost any followers.

She you know, I'm sure her skincare company, Polly has taken a hit, but she's still online, she's still sharing content, she's still you know, traveling around the world, living a very glamorous life.

And I think that in twenty twenty six we'll see a bit of a bigger return from her.

It will be interesting to see what happens.

That is where we are going to leave things.

What a huge year it has been.

I would love to have a crystal ball and see what the top stories are going to be next year.

Well, it's very well to see what can happen in the year.

Well, we are going to be making some predictions about what is going to happen in the influencer space in twenty twenty six, so I can't wait to share those with you very soon.

This episode was recorded on the traditional land of the Ghana people of the Adelaide Plains.
