Oh?
Speaker 2Yeah, okay, absolutely, I mean I guess we just gonna skip the intro And not that I had anything to say, but oh well you do okay, because I don't I do.
Oh but I was gonna wait, oh, let's just bring her in.
Speaker 3Okay, okay, wow, I mean I don't know what friendship would be without the ship.
Speaker 1This person is the ship to our friendship.
WHOA you don't like that mess?
You call her a ship?
She keeps us together, She puts us together, She makes sure we're the ship.
She's hold on the bond.
She girl just dropped my credits.
Stop with me?
What kind of job is this?
She?
Speaker 3She has a set on Comedy Central, she's a set on Peacock, She's been on Inside Amy Schumer, She's a regular at the Seller.
She's somebody I aspire to be without being a mother.
Give it up to her bestest friend, Amina Amani.
Speaker 2This is the epitome of messy.
Speaker 1The whole intro was mess We don't intro.
Nobody like that.
First of all, dropping credits on the podcast what yeah, I'm looking at you.
But what she was given I didn't like.
Speaker 2So that's why I said, just go.
I tried to pivot her, but it didn't work either.
Speaker 1So the ship she started off with a ship?
Just tell you how me?
Am I wrong?
Speaker 3If I say that my friend is a ship in friendship, she keeps the friends together.
Speaker 2How does a ship, keep friends together because we get one.
Speaker 1I just sound like a whore.
No ship friends.
You are tuned up?
Ye here, and you know we always laugh a lot.
Speaker 2We do.
Speaker 3We do really one of the funniest people I've ever met in my entire life.
And you could be you could be rock bottom like tears.
Everything is just bad.
No money, No Amana's gonna turn it around.
Speaker 1You beating tears with no money?
Oh my god, there's so many times I called you in l a.
Speaker 2Oh oh, you kept me, you kept me afloat you both did, but a float?
Speaker 1So is she the ship or the water?
Oh?
Okay you?
I might be a movie.
I might be my life.
Wait, how did I usually bring people?
It's not like that.
Can you come on, give me a start over.
Speaker 2That's the second time we tried that intro today and that's that's it didn't work.
Speaker 1But that's that is the beauty in mess.
Speaker 2Yeah, okay, you just embrace it.
Okay, y'all finishing each other's sentence with the word of your podcast.
Speaker 1Ooh okay, hater.
Speaker 3So I do have some mess this week that I would like to share.
My mess is I'm tired of being scared of nail TeX's hairstylists, people who are doing services, because if you let them know that you don't like something, they're looking at you like how dare you?
And it's like, hey, I don't want to walk out here looking like this.
Speaker 2Now we could do two things.
You could either fix this or I could just not pay you.
Speaker 1Which one you want?
Speaker 2Bro?
When have you ever gotten something done and I paid somebody for it?
Speaker 1Never happened?
Speaker 3But I would love to have that energy.
I see people do it on TikTok and they're just like and I walked out and I was like, fuck, that is my leader.
Speaker 1I would love to do that.
But I went to the nel salon.
Speaker 3I gave them a design, but you know, it's hard for me to pick out a design, so I find he picked one out.
She was like, hey, you're gonna have because I showed her four and she's like, well, which one do you want?
Speaker 1I was like, well, which one do you like?
She's like, well, are you asking the lady who's doing your nails?
Were?
She exactly, that's what?
So I started off.
Speaker 3She was already aggie because she was like, so you don't know what you want?
So I don't want to have to play this and this is tim thirty in the morning.
So then I picked something.
I was like, okay, this is Jimmy or this is cute.
And then when it started, when she started painting my name, I was like, oh, I don't look good with brown brown as a base.
I put breast so it kind of looked like my fingers was extended, pointy brown fingers.
Yeah yeah, and so then it was like pink in the middle.
It just didn't look good.
Speaker 2And so she had did all the nails even after I was making these faces like I don't know, yeah, no, I don't think yeah, werol, I.
Speaker 1Need to see the picture.
It was brown with pink in the middle.
Speaker 3It was supposed to be like a nudeish but she got like a like a camera, like the same color as the chair, that brown and then the pink.
And then when I told her I didn't like it, and she was like, it looks good.
And then there was other people chiming in.
I said, ah, y'all not gased like me this early.
Not when I'm paying one hundred and fifty dollars to get my nails in toes done.
Speaker 1One hundred and fifty for the nails and the toes.
Speaker 2Oh that's pretty cheap, friend, that's that's low.
That's why she was doing a bad job.
Nails and toes is one fifty jel X girl, That's why she was using alternate colors.
Speaker 1So I'm the villain now because I'm just saying, you get what you pay for, and you got Somebody says, why this is not a safe space.
This is mess, This is absolute mess.
Speaker 2I need to see the pictures that shirt into me as somebody who you know I've been getting my nails done.
Speaker 1Girl.
Speaker 2One fifty is low, It is all I'm saying.
That's all I'm saying.
I pay overall one hundred and fifty for just my hands, so for your feet and your hands to be included, and that's the price.
I'm like, well, you know you're kind of getting to do all the nails and then say no, if the light after the first nail you knew it wasn't popping, Maybe.
Speaker 3Trust the process because you know sometimes you gotta do sometimes you have to do that.
Speaker 1You don't say I'm the only one that's like to trust the process on a nail set.
Speaker 2Yeah, takes they hit the one strike, that's what they do and you'd be like, oh, nah, I know for a fact that's not gonna I don't want that.
I would give you two because maybe you want to see it next to the other one and be like, actually, no, I really.
Speaker 1Don't like it.
Speaker 3But also I know that Mike, I don't have the most appealing hands.
So sometimes you gotta do the whole thing and then I can see it, see it through.
Speaker 1You gotta got to see it through.
Tho you don't got to see it through.
Speaker 2Well, that's why you had to pay her, and that's why she had an attitude.
Yeah, she did your nails twice.
Speaker 3Yeah, so then I was going to pick another design, But I say, you know what, I could already tell by the stank face that she was making that she don't want to do it.
Speaker 2So I say, you know what, just make it regular, Just do it regular.
Just your toes white.
Okay, So I should have just did white.
I mean know, sometimes it's cool to just hit it with the match.
Speaker 3I don't match.
I think matches, like are we going to a vaca?
Like what's the deal?
Like, I don't need to match.
Nobody's seeing my toes right now.
Speaker 2When you had them green nails the other week you had white toes.
Okay, so you always get white toes?
Okay, all right, everything, No, I'm just asking.
I just wanted to know.
So now I know, my friend, everything my day is cool.
Speaker 1I'm chilling, you know, I want glasses inside.
Speaker 2I asked you if I should keep them Morning from.
Speaker 1Girl.
Speaker 2I need you to send us the photos of all the nails that I'll show them so we could throw them in.
Speaker 1The dump for well I will.
Speaker 3It's just like, you know, I want to be that person that's like shows my personality through like my nails and drewys, but I have adohd so I just it really is overwhelming.
Speaker 1I can't do it well prior to going to the nils line.
Speaker 2If you know that, start early, Start like going online and saving photos that you like at the time, and then scroll through them before you go to the nail lakey on.
I put them in my stories and I asked the people who followed me to pick my next nail design.
Speaker 1I'd be like, should I get this, this or this?
I don't want to do it no more.
Speaker 3I'm just going out with my nubs, my lesbian like just nothing there and just like.
Speaker 1Oh, you're a little grown up.
Yours is not lesbian at all.
Speaker 2Oh No, but I did feel like a lesbian when I got them done.
Let me see, I don't get no color.
She said no color, I said no.
And even on the toes, just hit it with a natural.
Speaker 1Oh.
Speaker 2I was feeling the same way you was feeling frustrated with the whole surgery process of getting my nails and toes done and taking it off the and then the people in the salon and it's just too much.
Speaker 1So now just go.
And I paid sixty dollars for a Mannie petty and I move on.
Let you see your hands?
Is this clear powder?
Speaker 2It's just a clear just a clear nail polish that they put on, just a natural.
And you know what else who's taking up all the space?
It's the men that are in the salon, like paying for the girls.
I'm like, hey, you can sell her venmo her.
Why you coming up here showing us that you're paying?
Speaker 1Okay, so pay for all of us if you big.
Speaker 2I really couldn't all that money.
They didn't have to be there.
They did not have to be at the Star.
Speaker 1Well.
Speaker 2Sometimes the salon is cash only, so they got to show with the cash.
But just like send her the money and she take out the cat.
I don't know, but I'm just sitting there looking all doofy and like or they stay at your salon.
The guys in my Neltlon popping and pop out.
Speaker 3May be sitting and looking.
It's like, sir, are you looking at my toes?
Are you looking at her toes?
Because it's gonna call my toes trained wrecked?
Speaker 2Okay, even after the polish is done, I don't feel comfort AnyWho.
That's my mess.
You know what my mess is?
Thank you for sharing your messiny.
My mess is my grandma passed away last week.
Speaker 1You didn't even tell us.
I'm telling you guys right now.
My grandma passed away last week.
Speaker 2A podcast is mad.
That is my grandma passed away last week.
It's y'all, mama, this is my dad's mom.
Speaker 1Are you okay?
Speaker 2You've been seeing me and I'm fine, But my grandma passed away and my dad is estranged with his family, and so I don't remember the last time I saw my grandmother.
That's why, Okay, right, So it's that it's this is this is the energy and her funeral is my dad told me it was on Saturday.
Speaker 1I spoke to my aunt, his sister.
She told me it's on Friday.
I spoke to my mom.
Speaker 2She's like, well, they told him Saturday and he's been He called her twice and she has not responded to him.
So I don't know if we're gonna go now.
I'm like, are you trying to repair of the family relationship or not.
Speaker 1Also, my aunt is.
Speaker 2One of my dad's five siblings, So one person not responding to you, you have four other people you.
Speaker 1Can wait out.
You don't know this side of Bryan.
You don't know this sided.
Sorry, girl, ex me out.
You've just found out the grandma passed, Like read the room.
Speaker 2I'm in the max, You're not in the mid.
Speaker 1My bad.
I'm sorry.
I apologize.
Speaker 2But my dad like he don't really rock with his siblings, and but he don't rock with none of them.
And I'm like, I was talking to my mom yesterday and I was like, if he's not cool with them, it's him.
My dad is mad about something that happened before I was born, that my that his brother did, and he refuses to forgive these people.
And I'm like, so he just gonna hold onto this forever.
Mess babe, that's mess.
So you're just gonna be mad at the whole whole stand on it.
Speaker 3Because if if one person is doing the Shenanigans right, the other people know about the Shenanigans, they're in on it, and if they don't correct it or they have not like tried to diffuse it or fix it, they're all y'all in cahoots.
Y'all all know about the drama and y'all in on it.
So I don't trust none of y'all.
It also just depends what it is that happened.
But I could see dealing with my family, the older and older I get.
Speaker 1I'm choosing these could go.
Thank you man.
It probably said all of them.
I don't know.
Speaker 2I'll be looking at my dad like like, so you gotta get to know the siblings.
Speaker 1Yeah, to get to know.
Well, I'm gonna be out of town.
That's what I was thinking.
When you said Friday and Saturday.
Speaker 2I said, both of those days work for me.
I'm gonna send some flowers.
Yeah, I call my auntie and everything.
I'm I'm cool, more cool with them than he is.
But he doesn't even want to get on the phone with them.
Speaker 1And so my and my mom.
Speaker 2I think what it is is the beef is from when my mom and dad met.
Speaker 1They didn't like my mom, and my mom is very much.
Speaker 2Well, then I don't like none of y'all either, and you don't need to be around my son.
Speaker 1And so that's the beginning of all of this.
Speaker 2But like all of this time has passed and I've met my aunts and I met my uncles, and I'm like, y'all still like it seems like he'll forgive them, and then he'll be back mad at them.
He'll be because because what happens is you forgive somebody and then all they gotta do is one more than.
Speaker 1You get the flashback you're like, oh, this is why I wasn't fucking with you in the first place.
Speaker 2And it's hard to forgive somebody who keep doing some stuff that you just like, I'm good, yeah, yeah, But as the as the daughter, as the niece, I don't have a relationship with most of that.
I don't really have a relationship with that side of my family because he don't want a relationship with them.
So that's why I'm saying you don't know them.
It's not you being exed out.
I too have been ext out, so I think that's messy.
Speaker 1You went across the river.
Do you want to see them?
Speaker 2I can't see them as weigand I'm gonna be me and my sister, like when my cousin on that side.
I got married in Miami last year and we put me We talked to all the aunties.
Speaker 1I mean, we relate to the wedding, but we met everybody elseide.
I don't know.
I just feel like as we get older, yes, it's easy to.
Speaker 2X people out and decide what you don't want or do on in your life, but also as you get older and people start to pass away, I feel like you gotta let some of this stuff go.
And my dad is like, absolutely not.
And my mom is the battery in his back and she charging it up.
Speaker 1She the battery and his The only thing.
Speaker 2Is it's just it's difficult because it's like family are not people that you choose, and they feel the most entitled to being having access in your life, and so it really just depends on what it is that transpired.
It is unfortunate that y'all get the you know, ramifications of that, but now y'all grown enough.
Speaker 1To hit them up.
If that's what y'all want to do.
That's what you want to do.
Sis.
If that's what If you want to go against poppies wishes, then I.
Speaker 2Don't know if it's it.
Would it be a against his wishes?
Yeah, he hates it.
He just doesn't want to talk to them.
So, I mean, I called my aunt because they left some they sent me some stuff for Christmas, so I make sure to call her to talk to her.
Speaker 1And it was an We had a nice.
Speaker 2Because it would different than sisters.
That's what I'm saying.
That's why my son had a phone from the age of three, because he was talking to a lot of people that I'm good one, But I knew that they relationship not gonna be the relationship that I have.
Speaker 1So I'm like, go ahead and walk out.
Speaker 2If they treat you right and y'all cool and y'all loving pop off, but that ain't what it is for you.
Speaker 1Yeah, and then when they do you like they did me, don't come talking to me.
I don't want to hear nothing about it.
I don't want to hear it.
What makes you think they're gonna do the same.
No, no, no, I'm not saying you.
I'm just saying for me, it's potential is the character.
The character has shown, so I don't know.
Speaker 2All I said to my mom was if everybody gets along with everybody else and he's the odd man out, I think the problem is him.
That's what I said to my mom, and she was like, it's them, Yes, my mom, stand up on your believe it's still I believe it.
Let me tell you nor family.
It could be twenty of them, girl.
Yes, I mean, but the backstory is my mom don't be standing beside my dad.
So that's so crazy.
Speaker 1Your mom to stand with your dad.
Speaker 2Something got to be just them holding on stuff in the late eighties.
Speaker 1Mess they are.
They are a mess.
Speaker 2And I could see if, like my dad was happy, like he moved through his life, happy about all the choices he made.
But I'm like, you don't seem to happy to me, So maybe you need to call one sister that changes, like I think.
Speaker 1So, I don't know.
Speaker 3I feel like every time you call family up, more problems, my money, more problems they do push your buttons.
Speaker 1That's just how I feel.
Speaker 2That's my mess for the week.
I mean, what what mess you got for us today?
Speaker 1What the hell you bring it?
In here true in a good way?
In a good way?
Is this why I talk about my subject?
Yeah?
Okay, because it was like, y'all will share a story.
Speaker 2So I was like, well I got a little story.
But then I'm like, okay, but we got based on what you heard?
No, no, no, I mean I just felt like it was like a little bit.
Life is a mess, for sure, but we're working through it.
We're working through it, you know, you know, shout out to my therapists, like girl, I'm not telling people my therapist name.
Speaker 1Everybody knows my therapists name is Lydia Lydio.
Speaker 2But yeah, we're talking about So my mess is Google reviews.
Yeah, I write them all the time.
It do get messy sometimes, and yeah, that's that's what it is.
Speaker 1Why do you think Google reviews are messy?
Speaker 2Well, first of all, the ones I read sometimes are one hundred percent.
Like it'd be like, remember we was just out and I was like, the lady got mad.
She wrote one star and she was like they charged me one hundred and sixty dollars cancelation fee.
Speaker 1And I was just like, so, yeah, you always come with the emotions.
Speaker 2But for that when you make a reservation, to a place that has a cancelation feed.
Before you confirm that you're making it, they tell you it's forty dollars a person cancelation fee.
Because I texted, y'all, yeah, it's forty dollars a person if we canceled.
So this lady canceled four A four top and lost one hundred and sixty dollars.
Speaker 1One hundred and sixty dollars.
Speaker 2It's crazy, but they told you they was in playing they standing in a cancelation.
Yeah, but I write reviews all the time.
One time, I almost I almost wanted to fight this lady.
I wanted to go get a facial.
Speaker 1Whoa, whoa, whoa already we already started with fighting love it?
Whoa Yeah, that's what it was.
Like, what else is it gonna be?
Speaker 2Oh?
Speaker 1I guess we could have had a conversation.
No no, no, no, yeah, I mean and you could have chat GP teeter.
Speaker 2Well, I just feel like when you get upset to the point where you're showing up and nobody's answering the door of we're fighting.
Let me tell you, so you go to have those little apps like the little like it's like, you know how they have it for the hair the stylist.
Speaker 1So I think this one is called like Vanguard.
Speaker 2I don't even know.
Let's start with a V.
So I use it to do my my face.
Speaker 1I want to facials.
It's in the vicinity of my neighborhood.
Let's do it.
And they take the money you booked the appointment.
They take the money, like the money right away.
They like boom, which.
Speaker 2I already found, not a deposit, but the whole amount, the whole of me.
Speaker 3I haven't even done the services.
You ain't even did the services.
They like, you booked, but it was like the next day.
So for me, it was just like, listen, I'm sure I want to do this.
Speaker 1Let's be there.
I'll be there.
Speaker 2My money not gonna be wasted.
Boom, no problem, y'all.
I pull up on a day of the appointment.
Nobody answering the door.
Oh is it at a private residence.
No, it's like at a it's like a public business building.
So then I'm like buzzing, buzzing.
Finally somebody let me in, but like not in the other door.
So now I'm stuck in between the doors like somebody was clearly playing.
They hit it fast, and so then Finally I'm calling, calling, calling, no answer.
Next thing, you know, I get a text, Hey, I didn't confirm your appointment.
Speaker 1Hey, your money.
Speaker 2Out of my account was the confirmation.
That's just what I made paid.
But also, why are you messaging me like this and lett me in halfway through the door and not being professional and meeting me at my eye to let me know, Hey, boo, talk about this real quick, because I'm more of the people are wondering what time the day before did you make the appointment?
So say, like maybe two in afternoon for one o'clock the next day, Okay, so like it's not like I did it that night, right, No, So that's what I'm saying.
So if you couldn't confirm the appointment or if it was not gonna be uh you know, like handle, then I think by the end of the day five pm, send me an email, has sis don't come tomorrow.
Speaker 1Or morning up?
Speaker 2Hey turns out you made this last minute blah blah blah, bah blah, didn't have time to confirm this.
Speaker 1Can you come another door?
Right?
Speaker 2But she was making it seem like I'm harassing her.
I'm hey, the money's out my account.
So I was gonna get around to processing your refund that I've never heard of at my life.
Speaker 1Yeah, with no communication, we know, and then.
Speaker 2Now you treating me like I'm outside.
It was just so it gets rough with me.
But I wrote a nice little review and I and I had a video of me sitting in the middle of the door.
Speaker 1You you do catch everything?
Speaker 2I mean, I want to ask.
Speaker 1I mean it does capture everything in real time.
You take pictures, you're doing videos.
Speaker 2Shoot the video you did it in the in the absolutely absolute, because I just wanted to let the people know in the review how I went down.
I snapshoted the confirmation of like the payment and her text message a little and I put it all.
Speaker 1Into your bank account and said, you saw because people need to know a mina that happened to me recently.
Speaker 2So I made an appointment to get my hair done kind of a half up, half down.
Speaker 1Like how Sidney be doing her.
Speaker 2Yeah, but I have braids in at the time, So I had the whole I had the whole week to take my braids out, and I didn't.
But I was like, oh, I need to move disappointment.
So I called the woman.
I emailed her.
I'm texting no response for the days leading up to the appointment.
I'm like, okay, well she hasn't responded.
But I went to a place they took my braids down for me.
But I could tell that I wasn't gonna be done in time to make it to my appointment in time.
So I get a call my appointments at twelve.
She calls me at twelve oh five.
I still got like twenty braids to take out, right, Oh wow, right.
Speaker 1But whatever, we were almost done.
Maybe he wasn't twenty.
Speaker 2It was like when you weren't there, it was like ten.
I wasn't there yet, but I was trying to move my appointment till like twelve.
She didn't hit her up to any calling her.
I've been emailing her.
I sent text messages and every time I called, it would be like this call, the mailbox is full.
Speaker 1The mailbox is full.
So I couldn't even leave a voicemail.
She caught texts.
She I texted.
Speaker 2She called me at twelve oh five, her, are you still coming to your appointment?
I was like, oh my god, I've been trying to reach you.
I'm I'm still taking my braids down.
Can I come at twelve thirty.
She was like, no, and your refund is non Your your deposit is not fund the fundable.
Speaker 1Click, hangs up the phone.
I'm in the chair hot because twenty four hours ago you was either trying to move it or you could have just canceled it.
Mind you.
Speaker 2She called me on the number that I had been calling, So you have my number, you got the text, you got the email.
Speaker 3Okay, hold on now, let me get down to the bottom.
So this is somebody you go to.
I've never been to this, You've never been to so I'm a first time client.
So she don't even know you, babe.
She don't even know your Instagram Mama.
Speaker 1You could have went live girl and tacked her, but my.
Speaker 2Sister said that as soon as because I called my sister right after and she was like, you should go on Instagram and let people know her.
Speaker 1Yeah, because that's rude.
People don't know that the power that I have.
But I saw the click is crazy.
Speaker 2Your your deposit is non refund Oh.
Speaker 1Look, mind you.
I said that I was I was leaving.
Speaker 2I think I was leaving for Jamaica the next day, so I needed my hair done and she.
Speaker 1Oh, baby, I'm professional.
That's crazy, but you know how stuff like that make me hot.
Speaker 2So when you do your reviews, is to help other people or is it for you to get your rock sofce?
Speaker 1It depends.
Speaker 2It depends on how the service is.
Like for that day with the skincare, that was revenge.
That was for me to get my rocks offt But other times, if you see we go out all the time and we just always looking and seeing what the reviews.
Speaker 1Say, Oh, should we go there?
Should we go not?
And then that's what I decide based on.
Speaker 2So then I was like, maybe you should start writing them since you read them and they'll help you so much.
Speaker 1So this is also me paying it forward.
Speaker 2Amena's reviews are sometimes it's it's definitely sometimes it's humorous.
Speaker 1All write little funny ones, but.
Speaker 2I want to say one hundred percent of your reviews some of them are serious, like, hey, you don't have to come here, but if you do, like you.
Speaker 1Don't have to come here, that's a great opening line.
Well something that's because that's what the review is.
Speaker 2The review is you tell your experience and would you recommend.
Is it a highly recommend or is it a.
Speaker 1Something I recommend?
Speaker 2Hell or like real talk.
If you're not in an area, don't don't come out so way for this.
Speaker 1Now, I think there needs to be And.
Speaker 2That's a good If you read that and you was like, oh I feel her on that I'm not coming out my way, I think that's good information to have.
Speaker 3Yeah, But also I think we need to know the background of people reviewing, like cause you like, if I would know like your stats and stuff, then I would can then I could be like, oh, this person is really serious about her but other people just be playing like that.
Speaker 2You can read the review and see if they plan.
You could read if this is something personal or if this is something that okay, no, this is like one hundred percent how this business handles their affairs.
Oh yeah, sometimes because you know, like now, when people do something like on the internet that people don't like, they'll go they'll come together and review that place negatively.
Speaker 1Like the McDonald's where Luigi got caught out.
Speaker 2I wish I was a party was given McDonald's wants started reviews because they were like.
Speaker 1They got raps here, and it was like, this is Luigi.
Speaker 2They do have raps, but it's also McDonald's Like who's reading a review and it's already McDonald's.
Speaker 1Then you can leave it with the best reviews.
Speaker 2You can leave a review for anything, anything anywhere, roller coasters, anything and whatever.
You list of the things you any anywhere my foot touch yeah everything Nel Salon's museums.
Remember we went to what did I We were in the balloon museum.
We went to some museum.
I definitely wrote a review about that.
I was like, but halfway through the project they gave up.
Yeah, the loons was definitely given very strong.
I remember the first few balloon statues we saw.
We was like, oh, no, why it looked like my son did it.
And I said, no, no, I mean, actually I can't even disrespect him like that because he's a great artist.
He is.
Speaker 1It looked like somebody else son did.
Speaker 2It, expended it?
Speaker 1It was And I lost my Pandora bracelet.
Speaker 2Still heard about it.
You put that in the Girl and I sure did.
I said, I emailed them about it, and they did not respond.
Speaker 1I think they were going in that balloon pit to look for.
Speaker 2Me, because you know, it's not until you lose something you realize how much it costs and you're like, well, you was really out there like that car getting and it was not.
Speaker 1Well, each charm is about something cost to.
Speaker 2One hundred dollars, so how much was it all together?
It was more than six hundred dollars on my wrist.
Everybody's listening compelled charm, but everybody knows about Pandora.
First you get the bracelet, which is about I want to say, seventy eighty dollars.
Then you have to get the clips.
Each clip is like maybe thirty.
You get at least like two or three of those, and then you get the charms.
Speaker 1And the charms don't come with the clips.
Speaker 2No, well you put them so like when you get them, you get them based on where you go.
So like I was getting like disney World, you get that at disney World, or like Jamaica, you get that at Jamaica.
Can coon like the places I travel Sweden.
Everybody aside homework, a cha a T shirt.
Ye, you never heard of a hat that's a Jamaica one.
Speaker 1But see that's the thing.
Speaker 2When you do it individually, you on mine, You're like, okay, here on l eighty dollars, gave me the nice little Q charm.
Then when the whole bracelet come off, you like girl, you talking.
Speaker 1About it, and I'm mad for you.
I'm you mad.
Speaker 2But do you think it's a venue's responsibility to like find your stuff give your stuff back?
Speaker 1It would be nice, It would be nice.
It would be nice.
But is that a reason to give somebody one star?
Speaker 2Well, listen, they already deserved it.
I said, in addition to the bad review, I just want to let y'all know if you do lose something, they're stealing it.
Speaker 1The ball pit ate it.
Yeah, the bracelet was too heavy.
It had all these charmed and all.
Speaker 2Those children, all those children picked up this Pandora versus like, oh my god, the liaries.
It's ask cool anywhere.
Like I said, I'm just giving the details.
I'm just letting them know what happened.
And then they could have emailed me back like what's up?
Speaker 1I meana?
Speaker 2The best thing about your Google reviews is when I'm looking for something to eat.
Because I'm a review reader, I won't write them, but as an indecisive person, I have to read the reviews to see if I want to go somewhere or not.
I'll be reading something and I'll be like, hold on, there's some meaning.
Speaker 3Yeah, it is a rare of shunshine to see Amna Amani in the reviews.
Speaker 1It is helpful.
Listen, I'm always writing them.
Speaker 2There's so many people who will say something is good, and you just have to understand that their standards are not the same as yours.
Speaker 1Right, So yesterday you were saying, because we went to.
Speaker 3A restaurant for my birthday, but later birthday, thank you girls, that was so nice, yay stuff, And you were like, oh, sometimes I don't look at the reviews based off like tastes because everybody's tastes that it's different.
Speaker 2Because we literally ordered food from a ramen spot and it tasted like the back of my foot, and my foot might taste better because we was just the curry didn't even taste like curry.
Speaker 1But everybody was.
Speaker 2Like, oh, the food so delicious.
It was like, but this is why you can't go off and taste for me.
Sometimes I just really want to know did they treat you right?
Speaker 1Was the service quick?
Speaker 2Were they accommodating Sometimes that it tastes good, yeah no, but that's not I'm like, I'm I'm gonna read the reviews and see, like if everybody, if everybody's clearly saying the food is discussing that's clearly the case.
But if you got one or two people coming be like I didn't like the food, it was too much, butter it was too much, I'm like, okay, that clearly means that it's just a specific palette for that person you click on.
The people who are writing.
Sometimes I actually really don't.
I really don't.
I sometimes I just I just read it.
Well, yeah, well you guys, I don't really have time for that.
Okay, that's all.
Speaker 1It seems like the way you write these reviews, you have time.
Speaker 2Well I have time for that, but time to read and now investigate who the person is behind a review.
You don't do that in the comments.
Sometimes people be going off in the comments.
Okay, you'd be like, let me see what this is working to look like they always look like what they wrote.
Yeah, if I if I read a review and I'm trying to question the validally, I'll go and see how many other reviews they have written.
So, now, if you only wrote three reviews, I know that this is something very personal.
But if you wrote like fifty seven and above or one hundred, and I'm like, okay, this person is a reviewer and they that that would make it valid for me.
Speaker 1Do you actually care about how many reviews people have?
Well, yeah, because if you only.
Speaker 2Wrote two reviews out of your whole Google review situation, then that mean them two reviews that you're not true to this you this is just that should we start reviewing stuff, it's a whole community of people like you, huh, because it just feels like it's just you out there.
Speaker 1But sure, ame just keeps coming out.
Speaker 2Well, they sent me a pen, so I have like a bad way, a little Google pin.
Speaker 1I should wear it.
Can you send us this?
Speaker 2Are you?
Speaker 1I'll send you the picture?
Speaker 2And it's like you make a difference around the world because you are not just local, I global.
Yeah.
Speaker 1What's the worst place you've been?
The worst place?
The worst review that you ever were?
Best?
I guess I told you all.
Speaker 2The worst place was this lady standing me up, having me standing outside.
Speaker 1Okay, I do hate that.
Speaker 2And then we just had that nasty food that was that was actually quite.
Speaker 1Livid because we spent a lot of money on that.
I should have got my money back for that.
Speaker 2But then the situations where people come and be like, hey, how can we fix this, and I'd be like.
Speaker 1Oh, yeah, welcome.
I remember that we went to we went to this.
Speaker 2Yeah, you gotta say the specifics, but we went to receive.
Speaker 3You got to go with the thing is that the friend treated us.
Okay, and this was on the house.
Speaker 1You know what, go ahead, let's put it out there.
It was not there.
We went to go floating tanks.
Yeah, I want to take the wind because you gotta change the narrative.
You got to take control of the ner.
Speaker 2Y'all.
Speaker 1I didn't know what to expect.
We gonna win.
Speaker 2I'm like, I have already been through this.
Speaker 1This is my first time.
I walk in.
I'm like, okay, it's cute.
Speaker 2They take your shoes, they give you some nice little socks.
I'm not evenna hold you.
I was doing it wrong.
I hopped in the tub with the socks on.
That's how you know I'm doing it wrong.
Got out and I was like, I don't think this house supposed to do this.
But they were so nice.
They gave me a new pair.
I said, look at that.
Okay, came out a new persons.
Then I'm like, but during my float, I noticed it was some hair in my tank.
Speaker 1I said, you know that heads came from them socks.
Now that you tell our story.
Yeah, the.
Speaker 2Place where the hair was.
It wasn't in the tub, it was like up top, it was here.
It was nowhere where I feel as a professional swimmer.
You dove in with them socks and I'm trying.
Speaker 1To figure out what it was going through your mind.
It's the grippy sock, you know what it was.
Speaker 2I didn't have flip flops to transfer from the shower to the things, so for me, it was just like put the socks on and then I didn't even register getting.
Speaker 1Now let's get to the more important parts.
Speaker 2So a hair start from the part where y'all need to understand.
We walked in and they was giving us rooms and I was like, oh, I like the number.
Speaker 1I think three.
Can I have the room three?
Speaker 2She was like, oh, I didn't really like check and see what's good about it, but I'll do that for you and set you up in there.
I was like, perfect, I get in my three, come out y'all a brand new born person.
Speaker 1But I see the hair, so I come over new so you can you can see clear.
Speaker 2So I go to the woman and I'm like, hey, it's no big issue, but just wanted to let you know it's some hair in the tank.
Speaker 1Yeah, that's why it's important to go with the flow.
Oh oh, oh, is it so I put the hair on the tank?
Speaker 2Maybe we just learned that you may.
But Amana, if you didn't put the hair in the tank, that's not the room she was gonna put you in.
Speaker 1She hadn't prepped that room.
Speaker 2And I get all that, But the way that I was saying it to her was not saying it was her fault.
It was just for her to be aware.
Hey, when they do clean in it, they should check to get the hair.
Speaker 1That's it.
Speaker 2I wasn't.
I literally just was letting her know so they can know for the next person.
I had no issues.
She said, That's why it's important to go with the flow sometimes.
Speaker 1And let me tell you how quick fast said those keyboard.
So we oh, we have the end of the thing.
Were chilling.
You know, it's still for somebody else's card.
We go, we go, we go.
Speaker 2But see, that's why I'm trying to let you know.
It's not about the money.
It's not about the money.
Is I worked in customer service, so I know how this is supposed to handle.
Speaker 3I think we all worked in customers have we okay.
Speaker 1Well, I mejured in communication, so to did I to three times and landed on communications?
Speaker 2I don't remember sports something okay, sports sports marketing, okay, so let me what happened.
So we actually still had a lovely day.
We went out a lot.
Speaker 1I went home.
Speaker 2I slept like a baby, and I needed to flow because I cried.
Remember I cried in the floating thing.
I was like, oh my god, I just need to be stealing for you said that you couldn't close your eyes for most of the the Imana be lying.
Speaker 1Yo, everything is not piecing again.
Well, I've been floating so many times, so what do you say.
I don't that was your first time floating.
I definitely closed my eyes on that sign.
Okay, So that's the thing.
Speaker 2Remember the other time I couldn't call it was because I did three hours.
Speaker 1So this isn't too much time in the dark.
Speaker 2Listen at the end of the day, don't be trying to come for the facts.
I'm telling you what the facts are.
Speaker 1The facts.
Speaker 3I can't your side have socks on them in a sleep deprivation tank by you.
Speaker 2The socks are the socks they put they give you those two walk around so you don't have to be barefoot or have your shoes on right.
So that's why I think you either put the hair.
She says the hair was on the stand where the hair was but either either way, Marie, either way, that's not the point.
Speaker 1The point is the hair.
Speaker 2I had to say was hey, there's hair in there, and she say, I'll make sure somebody clean it up.
Thank you for letting me know.
And we all could have went on about our way.
What if she said that's why it's important to go with the flow.
I let them know what That made better their minds potentially, potentially, but her saying that's why you gotta go with the flow, as if I don't, girl, I am the flow.
Speaker 1Okay, how about bad?
I mean you are nothing slow, you are raging water.
You were the one.
Speaker 3What happened was Amina saw her and her free people Chloe Pants talking to her like that's why you gotta go with the floor, and she.
Speaker 1Said, you know what.
Speaker 2I was like, that's why it's important to see here we.
Speaker 1Go here we you know, we know the girls that you're talking about.
Speaker 2They all like next, no want been about four times after she don't even work there no more.
I know that I mean this lady is unhappy, like we're home and slept good.
Speaker 1I woke up the next day like good did you sleep?
Speaker 2Says good enough to wake up with some senses and be like you need to let them know what we're down, you know enough?
I did, and they was like, oh my god, I'm so sorry that it's not right.
You should have been told that come back for free.
When did it had another float?
Was that the three that was like a two hours?
No, that was just one.
I go, I go here and there we've been again that I wouldn't go back, Like I get why you would have hair clearly in some water like that makes but I'm just all.
Speaker 1I was just letting you know what so you could fix it.
That's it.
It was.
There want no back talk, No, it's quiet, ain't no back talk.
Speaker 3This is a side place that you also do reviews as Airbnb.
Speaker 2Well yeah, but I'm kicked off and you know that, so don't like what's up?
Speaker 1Like see this is the thing, like what are you for me?
Are you not?
She's for a mess?
That's what.
Clearly, No, I'm not doing that.
We already did that.
That's already we need to know the background because you're passionate.
You're not the review you are.
Speaker 2But why would we rehash the story that everybody already know.
Everybody does not know how you feel, Marie.
I feel like we've talked about this on Did we talk about this on the Oftificial Expert?
Speaker 1We talked about her family.
Speaker 2I remember the receipt about me is that I remember, and I always have the proof.
Speaker 1The proof is in the putting in the group chat.
Speaker 2I think reviews are important to hold people accountable.
I also think that they're important to send recommendations.
And I also think it's important for storytelling.
I like to sell stories in mind.
Speaker 1So you be you be fabricating things in your reviews.
Speaker 2No, that's exagger First of all.
First of all, I just said storytelling like I'll give I let people know what happened.
I'm not lying in my reviews.
Remember when we was at the movie theater?
Speaker 1Oh my god, yes, wait tell this.
We went to go see a quiet place.
Speaker 3If you met us, we shouldn't be anywhere that says quiet in it.
Speaker 1We should not literally, Okay I didn't.
I wasn't with you there, but it was me and a Mina and our friend Ethan.
Speaker 2I saw the very first Quiet Place with my loud ass family.
Speaker 1But we were also the only people in the theater at the time.
Speaker 2Can I tell y'all, I never knew anything about the Quiet Place movie.
I did not know it was scary till I sat down.
In the first scene, Alien is eating somebody's head off, I did.
I just went for Lupida.
I just went.
Speaker 1For everybody.
Yeah, I just went to pull up because I'm like, Oh, my good sits in the movie.
I know it's gonna be good.
Let's go, let's go.
Yeah, I didn't even want I usually watched previews.
I did not even watch the preview, So you went blindly.
I went blind to the movie.
Speaker 2You went to a Quiet Place, cut yeap with my friends having a good time.
Y'all, I do not do scary movies.
I lost my mind in that theater.
Speaker 3Well, I first of all, I didn't even know that about you that you don't do.
I also didn't know your scared me and scary movies.
Speaker 2We went to don't see Us, and I lost it in air like anything that's suspended.
Speaker 1Remember you losing it.
Speaker 2I will walk out to just take a breath, because, like when I'm in it, I'm I'm like, I'm dying too.
Speaker 1They running I'm running too, like we all in danger.
Speaker 2Y'all don't feel that way, no people.
And you know what's crazy is Andre also doesn't like scary movies, and he went to see us too.
He was so I don't I didn't realize that both of y'all were scared and didn't like I would lose my mind in a It's okay.
Yeah, So we at a quiet place and I'm finding out in real time that it's a scary movie.
I can't keep my compulsion.
You cannot let alone be quiet.
So now we in the quiet place too.
That's most crazy to me about people just because they quiet, we gotta be quiet now, well, I think typically when.
Speaker 1You order the movies, people expect you to be quiet in the beginning.
That's like turn your phones off.
That's what is.
Speaker 2Talking about, which is wild to me because aliens is literally chopping off people's heads and y'all want to be in there.
I mean, I'm saying that you're supposed to be quiet as somebody who'll be loud at the movie theaters.
Speaker 1Sure, I'm telling you, I'm.
Speaker 2Rocking back and forth.
I'm trying to say affirmations.
I'm trying to say it.
I'm talking to my friend on the side, like y'all tell me what happened to look, but like every time I'm saying something, here go this one over here.
Speaker 1Huh what you say?
Right?
Speaker 2So it's really not even just me being loud, it's this one feeling like she got fomoter.
Speaker 1I got the mic.
Now, what's up?
What's going on?
What you said?
You know you want some candy calling that right here go?
The security guard walks up.
Hey, if y'all stop this guard.
Speaker 2Three security guards, they got their flashlights and everything.
You could have swore that we were like smoking weed or like touching each other, like the way they'll keep this up, y'all getting kicked out?
Speaker 1Kicked out, I would have been like were watching a quiet place.
But that's all.
He could have said, Hey, some people been complaining, can y'all.
Speaker 2Keep It was one person comp and it was a woman, and she could have said she couldn't want us personally.
If she said something to y'all, y'all would have I would have said, I would.
Speaker 1Have said, my bad.
Yeah, we would have definitely.
Speaker 2Now y'all saying that now now, no we would not saying that we know we would have.
Speaker 1He would have.
Even as I was losing my mind, I was trying to lose it softly.
It's just know that I'm good.
Speaker 2You're trying to lose your mind softly.
But this on the record, my friend knows me.
That was sitting next to He know me.
So I was like, for referraal you've seen me in the theater.
Speaker 1Did we call him?
No, He's not gonna say anyway.
Speaker 2He was like, Nah, for referal, that's you was doing good because he knows how I am.
He was like, Noah, for real, that was but good for Yeah, that's the best thing you could behave.
That's not meaning that you're doing good.
Speaker 1That's good.
Speaker 2I'm just trying to let you know that was moile effort.
My effort was trying to be better.
But you mean you allowed at heart at the end of the day, you're threats.
I don't do threats when I'm paying money for services and and and move and whatever else.
Speaker 1Whatever time, I'm I gonna do threats.
Speaker 2So we walked out of that movie and I said, Sydney, you got two choices.
You're gonna skip on home now, or you could be here for the whole ride, because.
Speaker 1Ethan did pick up.
Picked up.
Speaker 3Ethan is on the phone right now.
Ethan picked up, Thank you so much.
Wait, no, no, no, I'm talking.
Speaker 2Okay, Yes, we are on the podcast right now, Amina, and we're talking about remember when we almost got kicked out of the quiet place.
I want you to have a great Daycadal day.
Speaker 1Remember we talked about how I usually am.
Wasn't I doing better in that theater compared to all the movies?
Were said, yes, yeah, I'm trying to say that better for her.
Speaker 2That's not good for anybody, But it still means that I was making the effort.
Speaker 1I was still making the making.
Look at the right there.
Speaker 2Well okay, okay, hello, Ethan, tell him I was making an effort to be quiet.
Speaker 1You was, but you were still loud, but Sidney loud.
Speaker 2I'm gonna hit you back, love you bye, baby girl.
Speaker 1You said he was gonna pick up and did.
I'm about to text him right now.
Speaker 2Why it was, but he did, but he I'm out of text him right now.
Speaker 1While you have.
Speaker 2Marie the way she had me outside of the movies, I was scared of my life how she has she said, Sidney, tell me if I'm going crazy right now.
I was like absolutely.
She was like because she was like, I need the manager.
No, Sydney, this is this is Sydney.
This is where I text you I phone.
This is why you paid the one hundred and fifty for your wraggy nails, because you stand for nothing and you fall for everything.
Speaker 1We was at the.
Speaker 2Theater and I said, hey, no, I said you can head out.
Speaker 1I said, sid head out because I'm handling this.
She's like, no, I want to be here to support you.
I said, let me know.
Speaker 2No, no, no, She's like no, I mean no, you're not tripping.
They was wrong for what they did.
And I said, okay, did you say you say that you need.
Speaker 1To keep it real right to head?
Yes, I have the gun on you gun.
Yeah.
No, let me tell you.
I wasn't even gonna trip on them.
I came.
I said, hey, I just need to speak to the manager.
Speaker 2Mind you.
I had to use a restroom.
I left my water bottle and said, I go back up.
I come down.
It's three managers.
I said, oh, we're doing this so that she had no sleeves, why pulling them up while.
Speaker 1Y'all had to get three managers because I'm a black woman.
Speaker 2So then I had to say all them straight and I said, hey, hey, we sitting here going back and forth.
What usually happens when someone is dissatisfied with their movie experience, he'll go one of the dumb managers, we give them tickets for another movie.
I said, well, that's what y'all gonna do today.
We have no receipt for tickets because she didn't paid for the tickets.
Speaker 1You are a repeat offender.
Speaker 2You already is treating you to something and you the one you the person at the.
Speaker 1Table will ah, well crazy to the manager.
It's being put down.
This it's principal.
Speaker 2At the end of the day, I ain't even us some tickets because babe, let me say, they gonna never see me at that movie.
Speaker 1There again, I ain't see.
Hey, this is.
Speaker 2Podcast is sponsored by MC right now, So I mean, and you do go see AMC movie.
Speaker 1No, but this was Regal and they the Devil.
That's that theater.
Speaker 2I'm not doing it, but I mean, I don't want to put that on your podcast like that, but you did.
Speaker 1But I can't do it, girl.
I'll take I actually take four.
Speaker 2MC got better seats and they're heated and they have better reward.
Speaker 1Systems and everything.
Speaker 2So I found my place, and I found where I need to go, and it's not.
Speaker 1And they let you be loud at AMC.
Speaker 2So I've had not an issue or threats or a problem at the anti theater.
Speaker 1So they gave you how.
Speaker 2Many tickets they gave me because it was just two of us, so they just gave me two and what you said, gave me too.
So I was like, she was like, you want this.
I was like, but I, and I gave him.
I gave him to because he did pay for the tickets.
I gave the tickets to eating because I said they won't catch me back there.
But I just knew Justice said to be third, because you're not going to be threatening me at a movie theater.
That's just not how it works.
That's unprofessional.
All you had to say is, hey, this is one the number one, y'all gotta keep it down.
People are being distart, y'all gonna get kicked out.
Okay, kick me out, kick me out?
Speaker 1So did you finish the movie or did you get up?
We finished the.
Speaker 2Movie and then we were the stress of them threatening me and the stress of aliens eating people's heads on my mind and the stress of the lady that told we walk out.
Speaker 1And the people were like, oh, y'all were hilarious.
Y'all were really funny.
Speaker 2They look the people who were watching the movie.
They thought we were funny.
Some people do enjoy when you know and comments when you make like oh that I'll feel ugly.
Speaker 1Your hair is sposed.
Speaker 2You know.
Some people do enjoy that, but other people do want you to shut up, which I get, but it's like you get I knew you who are very You are a very stronghold on the quiet car on the Amtrak.
Speaker 1Because but you run people.
You were like, hey, you're gonna have to do you.
Speaker 2You follow the rules in the choirt car, but can't follow the rules at a quiet place.
Y'all are missing it.
Y'all are missing it, and that's why you are who you are.
No, y'all are missing it.
In the I was experienced something in real time.
It was happening in real time, and I had no space to process it.
Speaker 1That's it.
It's a movie.
Ain't nothing to process except the pictures.
Speaker 2That's what y'all, Because when I'm watching a movie, that's not how it is.
Speaker 1I was stressed.
I was stressful, Lupita.
Speaker 2I was stressed for you.
Speaker 1For The White Man without saying that movie stressed me.
Speaker 3Was in processing that ticket, you did not have to pay for it, And you know what, I love that for you.
Speaker 1I love that for you.
Speaker 3Yeah, I mean, did you have any like rules or like maybe advice to people who are giving like Google reviews?
Honestly, I the rules that I would say, I don't even really follow.
But since you, since you asked, I feel like I should say something, keep it, keep it brief, something I don't do.
Sometimes they gotta be like you out of characterists.
Speaker 1You gotta have a how many caps you get for I don't even know, but I remember that review for the movie theater.
Speaker 2I ran out let them.
I should have made another because it was it.
Speaker 1Was half of our day.
We had to walk it off.
Speaker 2We literally had to walk after that, and then she went to work and was still talking about it still because she told everybody traumatize them, but it's okay.
Speaker 1Try to leave your emotions out of it.
Speaker 3If you're If you guys can go to the regal uh you know, Instagram page and put palm trees underneath.
Speaker 1Let them know.
Speaker 2Please let them know.
I'm telling you I'm so sick of them.
I'm so sick of them.
Speaker 1Or you put justice from me.
I encourage people to write them too, because they do help me.
Speaker 2They helped me pick hotels, they helped me pick venues, they helped me choose restaurants, brunch, all of that type of stuff.
I feel like I always will read the review and be like, oh, come here, because this is given five stars.
Speaker 1I'll read the reviews before before I do anything.
Speaker 2Yeah.
Oh, especially hotels too, because we've had our bout with that too.
Speaker 1But we don't have time for that best hotel you've been in?
Best, Yeah, it wasn't.
Speaker 2Your card, girl, Girl, girl, I will say that some of the best and the worst hotels have not been on my card.
Speaker 1So will you be on the road literally full tea?
But no, I'm saying it.
Some nice hotels, but no, I'm not really paying.
Speaker 2For that best hotel you've been in, Marie, best I've ever been in.
Speaker 1I don't know.
Speaker 2I wasn't prepared for that question.
Yeah, she said, you asked me that from another time.
But I know the worst one I stayed that girl, I was in Baltimore.
Speaker 1Well, there you go myself.
Y'all literally started.
Speaker 2I walk in and somebody at the desk talking mad because somebody walked into the room while they was in the room.
That's I just want to let you know.
That was me just walking in being greeted.
I'm into this already, you know, confrontation.
But yeah, so I won't do that again.
You really got to read the reviews and locked the double, locked the door triple.
Speaker 1Oh yeah, it is true, you do.
You gotta do that.
Speaker 3I wish I cared about review I only started looking at reviews because of y'all, because we'll be about to walk into a place and you're like, hold on, well hold.
Speaker 1On, yeah, yeah, let's check it out.
Speaker 2Yeah, as somebody who doesn't really read review Sidney, how has that affected your experience with.
Speaker 1Reading the reviews on that nail?
Someone you go to, sis, I'm sure they're good.
It's it's a it's a usually good spot.
Speaker 2I think that that particular person was just over me, and I honestly I get I came in not knowing what the hell I wanted, and it was early in the morning, and I was like, how long is this gonna take?
Speaker 1So taking the blame.
It's crazy just to save the reviews.
Speaker 3For you who don't really I mean, you don't want to hold yourself accountable.
Speaker 2I'm holding myself accountable.
I'd be like, that's on me.
I say that all the time, but when it's not on me, I'm not.
I'm not taking it.
Speaker 1I mean everything that you said today was the socks and.
Speaker 2She told you, hey, this one not ready, you're like my answer not knowing what a wife place was.
That's also you, you know, But I'm glad that at the end of it you alway, it's always rectified for you.
Speaker 3Yeah, because with them fixing it with something like, hey, you're come back.
Speaker 2Oftentimes I don't.
I don't even write the reviews to get stuff back.
But oftentimes if I do, businesses that care about the reviews and care about their perception and a reputation, they will follow up and make it right because that's what customer service truly is.
Speaker 1In my opinion, that's.
Speaker 2True whenever whenever somebody is like, oh they didn't like this, an't like that, We'll take it off, or like you know, when I'm like, oh, I just want these people to just like have a good time.
You know, I give them a couple of shots, I'll take something off the menu.
I'll give them some free like just to accommodate.
And even if you do that, people still go back on that review and be.
Speaker 1Like bla la la.
Speaker 2It's like, hey, I give you hush shots.
Those are too hush.
Speaker 3Why are you still giving a bad review after I hit you off with two hundred dollars worth of shots.
Speaker 2Even if you don't like a drink, you send it back and they like, we're not taking it.
Speaker 1Off your bill.
I didn't drink it, though.
I feel like that's something that like, you should take that off.
Yeah.
Speaker 2Wow, I feel like I also just got yelled at.
Speaker 1At a fireplace.
We did we wear you out?
I'm sorry, we we do?
We do have.
Speaker 2Yeah, I just phonus on the charger.
Can you open it and I'll read it on yours?
Speaker 1I mean a girl.
I think, and I've been saying this, that.
Speaker 2You should release a coffee table book full of all your Google reviews because they're so they're all, they're so different, they're so good.
Have you ever reviewed like a zoo or an aquarium something like that?
An aquarium, for sure, you were like the fish look sick girl.
Speaker 1The water is not clean.
Yeah, I was gonna go.
I was gonna go.
Speaker 2The fills was doing what they need to do.
You know, I do write reviews about a I.
Speaker 3Was reading the reviews somewhere I went, and they were just like, they don't need to have no animals near this place.
Speaker 1This was bad.
Do not go.
We actually need to boycott.
Yeah, yeah, okay, are you ready?
Yes?
Speaker 2Beyonce mess question mark, question mark question mark.
Speaker 1That's the title.
Speaker 2Hey Messi's longtime listener, meaning I still rerun the Unoficial Expert episode first time messenger.
Speaker 1I have some Beyonce mess for you.
Speaker 2Oh.
Some friends and I decided to go see Beyonce in another country because the ticket prices were much cheaper, and we figured we'd be down for a little excursion, right, I, thirty three year old man, mostly planned the ticket purchases with one of my best friend's thirty six year old male.
When buying the tickets, he mentioned he was excited because it was around his birthday, and I took this to mean that he was going to use the concert ticket as a gift to himself.
Okay, oh that's good.
After everyone gets their tickets around six of us.
He sends a text saying basically that this is his birthday trip and that he wants us to have dinner for his birthday.
Now, I am fine with the birthday dinner.
I love my friend and I'm happy to celebrate him.
But I'm confused because we never spoke about this being a birthday trip.
I hadn't said anything to him because he didn't actually ask for anything too crazy.
But I'm nervous that when we actually get there, he may try to make the trip about him and my tripping or is this mess?
And would you say something to your friend before the trip additional contacts that may be useful.
Speaker 1I'm going with my boyfriend.
Speaker 2I do think the message was supposed to be cute and fun, but it just came off a bit weird because he didn't just ask to do a birthday dinner.
He started referencing the whole trip.
Note he sent is attached.
Okay, sincerely, Julius, Okay B day and Yonce B Day and Yonce June fourth night, flight Wednesday, June fifth, be in London at some point Thursday, and it's sick rest.
I want dinner and everyone to look sexy as fuck before and after I don't care you, do you?
June sixth Friday?
I don't care you, do you?
June sixth, seventh Saturday, Beyonce Day, Hunty June eighth and ninth Saturday, and Monday, I don't care you, do you?
I'll probably fly out on Monday.
I don't want to make this trip all.
Speaker 1About me or my birthday.
Speaker 2I just want us all to enjoy ourselves and be free, no pressure to do anything you don't want to do.
Speaker 1I do come before Beyonce though.
I love.
Speaker 2Dinner every but it doesn't sound like he's made the trip all about him.
Speaker 3No, no, no, see, this is what you want to stay these people, which obviously I kind of fall into this.
Speaker 1It's like oh no, no, no, no, chill, no, no worries, Like I'm not pressuring anybody.
Speaker 2That absolutely means the pressure is on you.
Speaker 1Read between that, Yeah, oh.
Speaker 3No, I'm I'm holding myself accountable and yes, when I'm hearing this when they said I don't want to make this about me, but I come before Beyonce, that is somebody, big diva, big diva, pulling it out and they're trying to be demure about it.
Speaker 1They're going to be.
Speaker 2Hell that is that is How is he gonna say something though?
But look it says June fourth nightth flight, June fifth, be in London at dinner.
Dinner is on the fifth, then Friday, do what you want, and then Saturday is Beyonce.
Speaker 1So this person is just asking for the fifth and the seventh.
How long they been friends.
That's a good that's a good one, I think because he has uh trepidations.
Speaker 2Julius, you gotta say something because this was not your birthday trip.
If you wanted a birthday trip, then you should have said, hey, just like for me, we going and it ain't got nothing to do with my birthday.
But I'm like, this is our birthday, so this is my birthday celebration.
I made that known from up top, so now we all know why we going.
Well, to be fair, you made it known after.
Speaker 1You bought the tickets for the for the no no no, yes, you might have known after you bought the tickets.
Speaker 2No no no, no no no, because hey, I want to go to see Beyonce for my birthday.
Then we found out caveat we can't go on the actual day and tom because we have other friends with other priorities.
Speaker 1So then we pivot and now make it a birthday thing.
Speaker 2But just after the birthday.
Speaker 1I mean like, I mean I just know I do come from Yeah.
How how this is a coincidence that we get this isn't crazy, Yes, it's insane.
It's similar.
Speaker 3I can't believe friends that have traveled so much for each other's birthdays.
I mean, I mean we've been to New Orleans, We've been to Morocco, Miami, Mexico, Mexico.
I mean we've been traveling for many, many years.
So we are understand.
I think you have to start up top.
This is for my birthday.
Yeah, we are going to celebrate or or sometimes we were like this was already going to be a trip and then it's like, hey, we should probably do a dinner for the birthday.
Speaker 2But this person is definitely telling them that they are doing something on his birthday.
Yeah yeah, but he didn't already paid yeah for the trip, And Julius, you didn't include it in the email.
I don't know if they sent you the money for the ticket or that the ticket is your gift.
When I thought the message was going when he said that, yeah, he was like everybody sent they money in and he's like, thank you for the birthday gift.
Speaker 1Listen, you guys are gonna have a great time.
They're gonna have a good time.
Speaker 3But I feel like going to a concert internationally is already gonna be bic hectic.
Speaker 1Yeah, and concerts.
Speaker 3I mean Beyonce, the way people were like having to stand for Renaissance.
I don't know, honey, I don't know after they go to Beyonce, they might not.
Well, they're doing dinner before the concerts.
Were just smart because I know sometimes you do a big thing.
Speaker 1We wiped out.
There's nothing happening after that.
Speaker 2Yeah, but it's dinner two days before Beyonce.
He said, whatever y'all do on Friday is your business.
Yeah, I say, just give him a little cake or something, a little sachet or something and then just that's it.
Speaker 1What else?
What else is there to do?
In Listen, you're going with your boyfriend, so you're doing your own already.
Speaker 3Know, you're like, I'm going, my man, y'all do what y'all need to do for the birthday.
Speaker 1But I'm this is a couple strip for.
Speaker 2Me, right with some some also, you know, some extras.
Speaker 1But we're doing their own thing.
Speaker 2Yea hopefully anyway, send us pictures from Beyonce, wanting and all iterator and say do you please?
Speaker 1Do you please?
Speaker 3Do you if somebody asked something extra sake no else?
Speaker 1Do you day babe?
Speaker 2But also follow up please let us know where you get dinner in London because we've been there and the food is very hit or miss.
I mean we've found some good places to eat, but the food it will be missing sun powder.
Speaker 1I love that that place was great.
Okay you love it?
Listed want it?
Need it?
I meana?
Speaker 2Any advice for businesses trying to be better at customer service.
Speaker 1Or or people being or people being better customers, give us one line for both.
One thing.
You know what.
Speaker 2It's as simple as treat others as you will want to be treated.
Speaker 1Wow, that's a tourist say.
Speaker 2Well, I mean you kind of gave me a lot of a lot in that, so I just want I think it is that simple though, Like when you're talking to people and you're dealing with people, would you want to.
