What the Chiefs Need This Offseason (Plus an Unexpected Christmas Bird Debate)

Episode Transcript

[SPEAKER_03]: On the 12th day of Christmas, my true love gave to me, a pod cast was sterling, and Joshua Brasco, and a partridge in a pear tree.

[SPEAKER_03]: uh...

three simple rings uh...

yet so what we're doing here is a little holiday christmas episode coming your way we were court of this a little earlier on in the week uh...

cuz we went off sorry about you and all the producers went off because they work hard [SPEAKER_03]: Okay, we work long and hard for you.

[SPEAKER_03]: That's what we do.

[SPEAKER_03]: So we're giving you a little some special.

[SPEAKER_03]: That's a little Christmas edition special.

[SPEAKER_03]: What we're gonna do is a wish list.

[SPEAKER_03]: What do you wish for?

[SPEAKER_03]: Brisco, what do you wish for?

[SPEAKER_02]: I've been a pretty good boy this year, Sterling.

[SPEAKER_02]: And so I've got some things on my Christmas list.

[SPEAKER_02]: I don't need my Christmas to be clear.

[SPEAKER_02]: I need them this off season.

[SPEAKER_02]: And you know, you know, I have type one diabetes.

[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if you know this about this term.

[SPEAKER_03]: You need insulin.

[SPEAKER_03]: I wish for insulin.

[SPEAKER_02]: But do you know what you can, and that boy if that's not true.

[SPEAKER_02]: We can, we can paint a lot more time on that podcast.

[SPEAKER_03]: Pancreas.

[SPEAKER_02]: A pancreas would be great, functioning health care system would be great, any of that.

[SPEAKER_02]: But you know, whenever you're, whenever your blood sugar's high, you need insulin.

[SPEAKER_02]: Whenever your blood sugar's low, you need some some carbs, you need a little sugar to bring you up and, and a go-to for a lot of diabetics is also the first thing on my Christmas list for the [SPEAKER_02]: It's good for bringing your blood sugar up and it's good for hopefully reviving what felt like a little bit of a a sugar free very very based on concentrate, perhaps based on concentration chiefs team this year where really both sides of the ball just didn't have the juice that you wanted to see I you got glimpses from Bernard Smith here and there you had the opportunity to see it from where she rice or Xavier worthy in small moments.

[SPEAKER_02]: You saw it from Chris Jones and some of those like got to have it games on the defense, but way too many times this year, just felt like the chiefs were either a step slow or one thing late and I'm hoping that we get in many different forms that it can take.

[SPEAKER_02]: I just need some juice for this roster for 26.

[SPEAKER_03]: I like that, but not O.J., of course.

[SPEAKER_03]: You want, like, pineapple juice or something.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, well, yeah, like, like, really gay kind of, kind of juice.

[SPEAKER_03]: The juice man, they're like, okay, okay, for me, non-cheaps related, I want to figure out how many birds that person got in the 12 days of Christmas song, like, who's sin in that many birds?

[SPEAKER_03]: A lot of birds.

[SPEAKER_03]: A lot of birds.

[SPEAKER_03]: If someone sent me that many birds, I'd be like, take at least half back.

[SPEAKER_02]: How many birds are there?

[SPEAKER_02]: There's part trenches and doves off the top of my head.

[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.

[SPEAKER_02]: Not off the top.

[SPEAKER_03]: Too many birds.

[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, that right there is too many birds.

[SPEAKER_02]: Is it compounding to you get every gift every day or are they just repeating it?

[SPEAKER_02]: So you remember how generous they are?

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_03]: No.

[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I get what you're saying.

[SPEAKER_03]: So like on the 12th day, you get 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, so that's right.

[SPEAKER_02]: No.

[SPEAKER_02]: Five golden rings.

[SPEAKER_02]: 10 times.

[SPEAKER_03]: That's too many times.

[SPEAKER_03]: No, we're not three.

[SPEAKER_03]: That's no.

[SPEAKER_03]: No, they're not and by the way, during that song, the five golden rings.

[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_03]: I think about all I think about is every single one is 11 golden rings, 10 gold rings, nine golden rings.

[SPEAKER_03]: Every single one.

[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know why.

[SPEAKER_03]: They're all just rings to me.

[SPEAKER_01]: 12 cartridges and paratroopers and paratroopers and paratroopers and paratroopers and paratroopers and paratroopers and paratroopers and paratroopers and paratroopers.

[SPEAKER_02]: Um, okay, there's a thing, if it's cumulative, apparently it features a total of 184 birds.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that's way too many birds.

[SPEAKER_03]: So I'm not going to be happy if that's the case.

[SPEAKER_02]: The final day is you're getting 42 birds a day.

[SPEAKER_02]: That's insane.

[SPEAKER_02]: You live in a, at a farm now.

[SPEAKER_02]: Partridge, turtle bobs, two of those.

[SPEAKER_02]: Three French Hens, the first four days are all birds.

[SPEAKER_02]: Then you get five golden rings, and then more birds.

[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, sorry, here we go.

[SPEAKER_02]: Partridge, two turtle bobs, three French Hens, four calling birds, six desolating, seven swans of swimming.

[SPEAKER_02]: So now I have to hold on, hold on through this all off.

[SPEAKER_02]: Sean is telling us five golden rings could possibly be referring to ringed necked fessants or gold fennches.

[SPEAKER_02]: So those might also be five more birds.

[SPEAKER_02]: You're getting birds for the first seven days of Christmas.

[SPEAKER_04]: That is so many damn birds.

[SPEAKER_04]: Immulative that so many birds.

[SPEAKER_04]: I need a pond.

[SPEAKER_04]: Seven.

[SPEAKER_02]: Twenty swimmers, a swimman.

[SPEAKER_02]: Seven swans, a swimman.

[SPEAKER_02]: Six key to lay in that's 13.

[SPEAKER_02]: Four calling birds that's 17.

[SPEAKER_02]: Three French hymns that's 20.

[SPEAKER_02]: Two turd loves one parter.

[SPEAKER_02]: That's 23 birds if it's not cumulative.

[SPEAKER_02]: That's way too many birds.

[SPEAKER_02]: Are they dead as it all is food?

[SPEAKER_02]: Was that the point?

[SPEAKER_02]: Are they, are they?

[SPEAKER_02]: No.

[SPEAKER_02]: Are they, are they ready to eat birds?

[SPEAKER_02]: Cause that would make more sense.

[SPEAKER_03]: The fessants may be.

[SPEAKER_03]: I feel like you eat fessants, but no one's eaten a swan.

[SPEAKER_02]: No one's eating a calling bird or a turtle dove, right?

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, no, that's, I mean, this is fair.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, and the geese are laying.

[SPEAKER_02]: Well, hold on, are the geese laying eggs or are the geese laying down?

[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I mean?

[SPEAKER_03]: They're tired.

[SPEAKER_03]: We're talking chiefs in the offseason.

[SPEAKER_03]: They're tired.

[SPEAKER_02]: 184 birds.

[SPEAKER_02]: And again, I think that doesn't include the cumulative effect of the potential five golden rings also being birds.

[SPEAKER_02]: Too many birds.

[SPEAKER_02]: How many days could your true love give you birds before you were like, hey, my darling, too many birds?

[SPEAKER_02]: You're right, that's the right answer.

[SPEAKER_02]: You've given me a partridge in a pear tree.

[SPEAKER_02]: I'm, I don't need that.

[SPEAKER_03]: I'll take the pear tree.

[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know what to do the partridge.

[SPEAKER_03]: There's a really good family.

[SPEAKER_03]: They come with a family, it's a partridge family and then you have a whole lot more deal and you don't need that.

[SPEAKER_02]: The reliant cave version of the 12 days of Christmas, the only one that I acknowledge is pure canon.

[SPEAKER_02]: They have their own chorus that just stuck in my head since I was like 12, which is what's a partridge and what's a pear tree?

[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, so please don't ask me, but I can bet those are terrible gifts to get.

[SPEAKER_02]: And that really rings true here.

[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: This has been a great podcast.

[SPEAKER_02]: I've enjoyed this tremendously.

[SPEAKER_03]: This might be the best work we've ever done.

[SPEAKER_03]: You're welcome at home.

[SPEAKER_02]: My true love is not no me very well.

[SPEAKER_02]: This is to me.

[SPEAKER_02]: I can see birds out my window as we speak.

[SPEAKER_02]: And I like them out there.

[SPEAKER_02]: Have I have ever asked for a bird have I ever asked for a bird ever in your life hard to Right I've ordered bird cooked to eat and I've Listen have I given and received a few birds because of the way I drive maybe But that's not what we're talking about here [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know where to go from here.

[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah, wishlist, wishlist.

[SPEAKER_03]: So I guess for me a top 12 to keep it in the spirit of 12 days of Christmas, I want the chiefs to have a top 12 pick in the draft.

[SPEAKER_03]: Hey, tankathon, baby.

[SPEAKER_03]: Gardner, look good.

[SPEAKER_03]: Because I want to make sure that I know you're not in a contract, but I hope you signs again with KC.

[SPEAKER_03]: And if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, [SPEAKER_03]: Emergencies situation happens and Patrick has to miss a couple games to start the season.

[SPEAKER_03]: I'd like to know that the backup quarterback is adept and equipped at winning ball games.

[SPEAKER_03]: Because we saw the Texans have to go to Davis Mills for three games and he went three now.

[SPEAKER_03]: So I would like to see Gardner min shoe be the guy, but I assume to tank the rest of the year for a top 12 draft pick.

[SPEAKER_02]: There have been so many evolutions of the lyrics to this song.

[SPEAKER_02]: It's crazy.

[SPEAKER_02]: There's a version from 1882 that says, my true love sent to me a the sprig of a Juniper tree.

[SPEAKER_02]: Turtle loves French hands colored birds, gold rings.

[SPEAKER_02]: Hair's are running bulls or this one's all animals.

[SPEAKER_02]: Swans are swimming.

[SPEAKER_02]: Hair's are running bulls are roaring.

[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, hey, true love.

[SPEAKER_02]: What am I supposed to do with 10 men of mowing?

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh God, okay, let's see that I'm gonna read you.

[SPEAKER_02]: Wait, what the mowing, my lawn.

[SPEAKER_02]: I guess, I guess so.

[SPEAKER_02]: 1905 here, credit to your landscaping company.

[SPEAKER_02]: Gisa Lang, Swans of Swimming, Boys of Singing, Lady Dancing, Asses Racing, [SPEAKER_02]: Bulls of beating bells are ringing.

[SPEAKER_04]: I take it back.

[SPEAKER_04]: I don't want the 10 Minimo and come home, my lawn.

[SPEAKER_04]: That's the best gift out there.

[SPEAKER_04]: The best gift out there is the 10 Minimo and it's really helpful.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I don't need to do all this yard work myself.

[SPEAKER_02]: Now tell me, would you rather have 10 Minimo or 10 Cox of Crowing or 10 Acid Racing?

[SPEAKER_02]: 10 lords of leapin where they go and where those lords go in.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh man, what a show.

[SPEAKER_02]: 10.

[SPEAKER_02]: Man, like so, okay, it's a whole 1900.

[SPEAKER_02]: We've got, uh, squabs of swimming, hounds are running.

[SPEAKER_02]: There's a beating Cox a crowing lords of leaping ladies a dancing.

[SPEAKER_03]: I like the lady part.

[SPEAKER_03]: I love that part.

[SPEAKER_03]: There's a lot.

[SPEAKER_03]: They're just taking you a script club at that point.

[SPEAKER_03]: They're going at their default.

[SPEAKER_03]: They're going pack man Jones on you.

[SPEAKER_02]: Well, and you have 10 Cox of Crowing.

[SPEAKER_02]: So it's all makes sense.

[SPEAKER_02]: It adds up.

[SPEAKER_00]: Look, taking care of your mental health shouldn't be harder than taking care of your body.

[SPEAKER_00]: I know a lot of guys who've wanted to try therapy, work, stress, family stuff, just feeling stuck, but the hassle, the wait list or the cost, always get in the way, that's why I really like what Rula is doing.

[SPEAKER_00]: Rula makes therapy simple, affordable, and actually accessible.

[SPEAKER_00]: they work with most major insurance plans and the average session is around $15.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's it.

[SPEAKER_00]: You answer a few quick questions and Rula connects you with a license.

[SPEAKER_00]: Vetted therapists who actually fits with what you're dealing with.

[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes as soon as the next day, if you've been putting this off, this is the easiest way to start.

[SPEAKER_00]: Go to Rula.com slash.

[SPEAKER_00]: at in the hashtag rule upon to get connected today that's r u l a dot com slash hashtag rule upon take the first step and get your head right what's the second thing I know which list yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah second thing on my wish list it's very obvious one uh a very uh a very easy one that probably a high everybody's wish list it could come with juice attached um [SPEAKER_02]: help on the defensive line.

[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not being picky.

[SPEAKER_02]: And frankly, not just help.

[SPEAKER_02]: Because I think they've had help a force on the defensive line.

[SPEAKER_02]: Doesn't have to be a player who is instantly better than Chris Jones would be awesome to have a player who steps in and is pretty instantly meeting George [SPEAKER_02]: So find another member of this defensive line, maybe as we talked about last week, maybe it's a little bit of an evolution for spags, going outside the mold a little bit and figuring out how to use the type of edge rusher that isn't his favorite type of edge rusher, but you just can't build the whole plane out of George Carloff this in in Ashton, Jolati, a really good player who earned an extension and a really good young player who I think is going to have a role.

[SPEAKER_02]: Not everybody can be Mike Dana, Charles and Minna who in some ways is kind of an outlier, but also he hits the measurable.

[SPEAKER_02]: He's got crazy long arms and he can also go inside outside.

[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't even need the mold to be broken necessarily, but I either want that top 12-ish draft pick that you're hoping for there.

[SPEAKER_02]: And again, we're doing this before Chiefs Titan.

[SPEAKER_02]: So if anything, there changes any of this or that might have an impact on the draft positioning and everything.

[SPEAKER_02]: But I do still have a more egregious wish that will be the third item on my list, but I would be happy for that first round draft pick to go for an edge russia with some juice, a defensive tackle who can step in and make Oman Norman lot, a guy who can rotate with Chris Jones, who no longer has to play 90% of the snaps.

[SPEAKER_02]: A Jones high-end DT2 Oman Norman Lot trio is something I could I could see myself enjoying They just have to do more both in youth and in production on the defensive line [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I agree a lot with that.

[SPEAKER_03]: For me, my number two in the spirit of receiving, right, that's the whole point of Christmas and the holidays is to receive.

[SPEAKER_03]: The gift I'd like to receive is to running backs.

[SPEAKER_03]: Hopefully, both with vision.

[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.

[SPEAKER_03]: I'd like to running backs, because I do think cream hunt could have a role on this team, and I'd be fine next year.

[SPEAKER_03]: I'd be fine, if he's also your practice squad guy, I'd be fine, but I at least want one running back on the chiefs that is a legit investment.

[SPEAKER_03]: And I do think the brief haul one was too expensive for my taste for for the third round draft pick and then turning around to have to give him 10-ish plus million a year.

[SPEAKER_03]: If it's just a 10-million-ish plus a per year, that's a different conversation to have.

[SPEAKER_02]: But with the third round draft pick on a rookie that you're going to have team control over for the next four years.

[SPEAKER_03]: Correct, but then you need to do credit and debit, which we all know in the holiday season.

[SPEAKER_03]: It adds up.

[SPEAKER_03]: Don't do that.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's bad.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_03]: Bad credit score.

[SPEAKER_02]: I look.

[SPEAKER_02]: How else am I going to afford all these birds?

[SPEAKER_03]: That's so much bird food.

[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, man.

[SPEAKER_03]: Keep feeding the jokes, I guess.

[SPEAKER_03]: We're the birds.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so for me, two running backs, I think one with a legit investment.

[SPEAKER_03]: I'm talking, I'm not saying Jimmy or Gibbs.

[SPEAKER_03]: I don't even necessarily say first round running back.

[SPEAKER_03]: Second round, third round, right?

[SPEAKER_03]: I think for me, I would like the first round or if it is around the 12, hopefully, if the board fell that way to be on a pressure, right?

[SPEAKER_03]: I think you and I are somewhat locked up there.

[SPEAKER_02]: But that's a defensive difference maker would do.

[SPEAKER_02]: Like I know that there's some weirdness in this year's draft.

[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, wait.

[SPEAKER_03]: I think second third round is where I'm looking for the running back and if that's a spot great and as well as a free agent, not an Elijah Mitchell, I'm talking like a legit player if you will.

[SPEAKER_03]: That's what I would be my number two is to running backs.

[SPEAKER_02]: And then my third, my third wish on my Christmas list, it's pretty simple and it's just eight nades of milking.

[SPEAKER_02]: nine drummers drumming tip.

[SPEAKER_02]: There's a lot.

[SPEAKER_02]: There's some of these have ladies dancing and ladies spinning and lords of leaping.

[SPEAKER_02]: It's very confusing.

[SPEAKER_02]: Here's the one that I am building.

[SPEAKER_02]: I think I think I am going to get some players with some juice.

[SPEAKER_02]: And I think I am going to get something substantial of the defensive line.

[SPEAKER_02]: I think you are going to get a running back investment.

[SPEAKER_02]: I think so far.

[SPEAKER_02]: Our wishes are looking pretty good.

[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if I'm going to get this one or not.

[SPEAKER_02]: And this is also kind of a kind of an early poll.

[SPEAKER_02]: I don't want to fall in love in the draft process yet.

[SPEAKER_02]: I know the college football season is nearing it's end.

[SPEAKER_02]: I just don't watch college football as intently as a lot of [SPEAKER_02]: You might have one chance in this era of chiefs football to end a draft selection with four beautiful words, wide receiver Ohio state and really what's what's calling to me, first of all the chiefs should be in the Carnell Tate Range.

[SPEAKER_02]: I have not, I will tell you in a couple of months, if I'm still in love.

[SPEAKER_02]: Right now I'm smitten.

[SPEAKER_02]: Right now my, my eyes are losing.

[SPEAKER_02]: I'm looking, I got all these birds.

[SPEAKER_02]: I got these Lord sleeping, these, these maids milking.

[SPEAKER_02]: But I'm seeing, I'm seeing the possibility.

[SPEAKER_02]: What I really am, and truly asking for, and don't know if I'm gonna get.

[SPEAKER_02]: is an X wide receiver.

[SPEAKER_02]: Not a former wide receiver turned running back like Brishard Smith, but a big outside six foot three wide receiver.

[SPEAKER_03]: The Chiefs have a guy who goes by X.

[SPEAKER_02]: They didn't count.

[SPEAKER_02]: It doesn't.

[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, okay.

[SPEAKER_02]: It doesn't.

[SPEAKER_02]: If you might be listening now, racking your brain, thing like, who has been the chiefs like Best X receiver over the Mahomes era?

[SPEAKER_02]: It's Travis Kelsey, he plays tight end.

[SPEAKER_02]: You saw the sacrificial X in MVS, even to a lesser extent, just in Watson, lesser extent in terms of production there.

[SPEAKER_02]: The idea of the Andre Hopkins was fun, [SPEAKER_02]: I still want to believe.

[SPEAKER_02]: In fact, I think I still do believe in a future for Rishi Rice and Xavier Worthy.

[SPEAKER_02]: And as things stand right now, we don't know what it's going to be with Travis Kelsey.

[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe he returns for one last last ride.

[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe the Mahomes injury makes it a little bit easier for him to hang him up.

[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.

[SPEAKER_02]: And frankly, I don't want to say I don't care.

[SPEAKER_02]: I do care tremendously.

[SPEAKER_02]: It's up to him.

[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I don't even feel a need to do a talking head thing.

[SPEAKER_02]: You ought to come back and you're still a top five tired in the football come back and do it again.

[SPEAKER_02]: He's got a life in front of him that none of us could even imagine, like literally, it's almost unfathomable.

[SPEAKER_02]: If he comes back, I'll be thrilled if he doesn't.

[SPEAKER_02]: I'll be very grateful for what we got from Travis Kelsey.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, far longer than anyone could have ever expected and far better than you ever could have expected.

[SPEAKER_02]: But next year is either the first year without Travis Kelsey or probably the last year with Travis Kelsey and one of the big disappointments for me this season.

[SPEAKER_02]: was that we did not see the baton truly past from Travis Kelsey Tubershi Rice in the offensive hierarchy, not because Kelsey didn't hand it, but because it didn't feel like either the scheme or the player in Rishi Rice's case were quite ready to be the guy the offense was built around.

[SPEAKER_02]: And that's also partially Rice's fault.

[SPEAKER_02]: It was now that the first six weeks.

[SPEAKER_02]: So you have to be able to live with and without him as you're building the offense.

[SPEAKER_02]: But man, imagining an offense, even if it is without Kelsey.

[SPEAKER_02]: Well, your top three weapons are a legit, I don't think the free agent market's gonna have an option for this, which is why I have tate kind of drawing my eye at this point.

[SPEAKER_02]: They're not, it's not gonna be George Pickins.

[SPEAKER_02]: It's not 30 million that George Pickins is not gonna happen.

[SPEAKER_02]: I'd be stunned out of my mind.

[SPEAKER_02]: But if you give me that opportunity to have a young x, y, receiver, [SPEAKER_02]: making life easier for my homes, for rice, for worthy.

[SPEAKER_02]: You don't need to expect anything from Jalen Royals if you can do it or see for four or five, great.

[SPEAKER_02]: You only need one or two veterans to round out the room, great.

[SPEAKER_02]: That's my greatest wish is that I, and you know what?

[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe it's, and this is again, I'm going to show my collegiate weakness.

[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if there are tight ends in this year's draft, that are like the two first rounders last year.

[SPEAKER_02]: But if you said, hey, you can get Tyler Warren in this office.

[SPEAKER_02]: I'd be just as happy.

[SPEAKER_02]: So a top level big body, what a past-catching weapon is, is my grandest wish here a little bit before Christmas.

[SPEAKER_03]: You got the guy from Vanderbilt who's obviously very good as well, but it's not quite last years.

[SPEAKER_03]: Or even like the like the Brock Bowers ask where there's the click-up tied in.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, who knows?

[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe Kyle Pitz.

[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe that's on my wish list.

[SPEAKER_03]: No, that's unlike my hopeless, but not my wish list.

[SPEAKER_03]: My number one.

[SPEAKER_02]: My number one.

[SPEAKER_02]: Two years ago, I think.

[SPEAKER_02]: And now and now the prices have gone up and I don't feel comfortable asking for it anymore.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, now I'm like, I feel bad.

[SPEAKER_03]: Like, I can't ask for that.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's crazy.

[SPEAKER_03]: I think my final number one is and one offense will be systematically changed team.

[SPEAKER_03]: Like, I want the entire chief's offense to change their scheme.

[SPEAKER_03]: I've been going back and saying this a lot and I just want to reiterate, I think that this is the same offense from 2022.

[SPEAKER_03]: so when people asked, well, what's happened?

[SPEAKER_03]: Well, 2022, that's the year that they moved on from Tyree Kale.

[SPEAKER_03]: That's the first year without him, right?

[SPEAKER_03]: And so the first year that Tyree Kale they had to change.

[SPEAKER_03]: They were forced to.

[SPEAKER_03]: And so when they did, what happened?

[SPEAKER_03]: Well, Patrick won MVP.

[SPEAKER_03]: That team looked amazing.

[SPEAKER_03]: The offense was insane.

[SPEAKER_03]: It was new.

[SPEAKER_03]: It was fresh.

[SPEAKER_03]: And then [SPEAKER_03]: Back to back.

[SPEAKER_03]: Awesome.

[SPEAKER_03]: They won two straight super bowls.

[SPEAKER_03]: And so you hear Patrick though after the 23 seasons say, well, we won, but it wasn't quite as fun.

[SPEAKER_03]: We weren't having as much fun out there.

[SPEAKER_03]: in the offense took a turn down.

[SPEAKER_03]: It was more of a slog, more of a grind, but you won.

[SPEAKER_03]: So what are you going to do?

[SPEAKER_03]: Well, you're winning.

[SPEAKER_03]: You're going for a three-peat why would we change the offensive scheme?

[SPEAKER_03]: It's work two years in a row.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's turning down.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's on the down turn.

[SPEAKER_03]: But we've won two straight super bowls.

[SPEAKER_03]: Let's run a back out there.

[SPEAKER_03]: Well, they go 15 and two.

[SPEAKER_03]: it's ugly.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's a grind.

[SPEAKER_03]: Every game's coming down to the wire, but they're finding ways to win.

[SPEAKER_03]: And they make it all the way back to the Super Bowl.

[SPEAKER_03]: They get hammered, but that second half, ooh, the deep balls back things.

[SPEAKER_03]: Look like they're changing.

[SPEAKER_03]: Times are a change in.

[SPEAKER_03]: But the first time we really see the repercussions come this year in 2025.

[SPEAKER_03]: schemes the exact same, but teams for the last three years have become wise to this, and no longer is the talent enough to overcome it.

[SPEAKER_03]: They know what you're doing, they know.

[SPEAKER_03]: And [SPEAKER_03]: Now you're forced to change.
