[SPEAKER_03]: and he swings, hit to high, and deep, and go!

[SPEAKER_03]: Still got it, man!

[UNKNOWN]: Wow!

[SPEAKER_03]: All I have, got to come to the favorings.

[SPEAKER_03]: Need to center field, and it is gone!

[SPEAKER_03]: Wow, his first big league swing.

[SPEAKER_03]: He's gonna be a grand slam on the home run.

[SPEAKER_03]: Swagging drive, not tonight.

[SPEAKER_03]: Welcome to the show!

[SPEAKER_01]: Part two of the Arizona Fall League roster previews here.

[SPEAKER_01]: You got Jack Mullen arm latent.

[SPEAKER_01]: We broke down two last time.

[SPEAKER_01]: And then we realized we're gonna need to break this thing down a little bit more into maybe three episodes.

[SPEAKER_01]: So this is the second of the trilogy here of the AFL roster breakdowns.

[SPEAKER_01]: And it's because there's a lot of intriguing players.

[SPEAKER_01]: Don't get me wrong.

[SPEAKER_01]: Several players on every roster that we've probably never heard of just because you can only know so many players.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm going to quiz you on a couple of relievers coming up soon.

[SPEAKER_01]: We found out Mason hour is now a reliever.

[SPEAKER_01]: So that was fun in real time on the last episode.

[SPEAKER_01]: And that's what the AFL is all about.

[SPEAKER_01]: But some really good players that we're going to talk about in today's episode and a lot of fun bats out there, but as always, some sneaky arms to discuss as well.

[SPEAKER_02]: 100%, I typically do take in my call-up weeks as trilogies, so I'm glad that you used that word to describe what we do here on the call-up in MLB Prospect podcast, but it's us and Star Wars, right?

[SPEAKER_02]: Us and Star Wars, it's perfect.

[SPEAKER_02]: I think there are other trilogies.

[SPEAKER_02]: I think Shrek was technically a trilogic for a minute.

[SPEAKER_01]: I think they made a fourth and a fifth.

[SPEAKER_02]: I never want to do the star wars, too.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, of course, of course, but Star Wars, yeah, it was like two trilogies, I think packed in.

[SPEAKER_02]: But, you know what?

[SPEAKER_02]: We're wasting people's time.

[SPEAKER_02]: We talked about the Glendale desert dogs and the Mesa solar socks last time.

[SPEAKER_02]: So we're going to be all about the hop Valena's and the, and the rafters today.

[SPEAKER_02]: So the Pioria Pavalena's and the Salt River rafters.

[SPEAKER_02]: The Pioria Pavalena's are made up of the Baltimore Orioles, the Minnesota Twins, Cincinnati Reds, Seattle Mariners, and San Diego Padres.

[SPEAKER_02]: got us starting with Baltimore, and I'm going to give you the run-down of the names and again, same deal as part one of this trilogy.

[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to give you every name in the pictures and position player grouping, and then you're just going to take me where you want to take me in terms of notable prospect and tree.

[SPEAKER_02]: So the Baltimore guys that they are sending, Louis daily own, a arm that has some serious buzz in that system is going.

[SPEAKER_02]: Carson Dorsey is also headed there, [SPEAKER_02]: In terms of hitters, Baltimore is sending Ethan Anderson, a switch hitting catcher, and then they also send Enrique Bradfield, Jr.

[SPEAKER_02]: and Thomas Sosa, lefty hitting Dominican outfielders.

[SPEAKER_02]: So that's the crop of guys.

[SPEAKER_02]: The two names that I know for sure, and obviously I know every single name, but the two names that I know for sure are Luis De Leon and Enrique Bradfield.

[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, daily on, I'm really excited to see.

[SPEAKER_01]: I think this is probably one of the better arms.

[SPEAKER_01]: At least it would you have hit the performers this year that we're going to get out there.

[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he had a two seven.

[SPEAKER_01]: I think it was a two seven fifth, three five eighty.

[SPEAKER_01]: All right, everybody struck out twenty seven percent of batters is a twenty two year old.

[SPEAKER_01]: You know, between high A and double A, finished the year really strong in double A and three starts was fantastic.

[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, the fastball sits in [SPEAKER_01]: 96 miles per hour is where he averages this year just saw a huge uptick.

[SPEAKER_01]: And so I'm just looking forward to seeing him in person.

[SPEAKER_01]: Nasty slider.

[SPEAKER_01]: That's his best pitch.

[SPEAKER_01]: So, I mean, you're talking about a lefty here with a wipeout slider who sits 95 to 97 miles per hour at 22 years old.

[SPEAKER_01]: That's going to be one of the more intriguing pitching prospects.

[SPEAKER_01]: We've got out there and fruit is another [SPEAKER_01]: But at least fascinating from the perspective that he was sitting in the mid to upper 90s through a lot of his outings when he came back from injury in July.

[SPEAKER_01]: And the run prevention side of things wasn't great, walked a lot of guys, but it's loud stuff, average north of 96 on the fastball this year.

[SPEAKER_01]: And then I'm just really pumped to see Enrique Bradfield Jr.

[SPEAKER_01]: We talked about it when we updated, or we did the Orioles prospects right where he's got [SPEAKER_01]: channel or Simpson conversation or something like the 20 grade versus maybe being able to push to 30 grade and maybe have that can change the profile I'm interested to see what that looks like in in Arizona where the ball flies a little bit more if you can sneak some more out But I think he's clearly shown enough juice now to find the gaps.

[SPEAKER_01]: I just want to see him stay healthy and then also just see if you can continue to get back to that [SPEAKER_01]: proficient bats a ball guy that he's always been, but I also understand that he's probably trying to get into a little bit more.

[SPEAKER_01]: But I think the Orioles are sending some of the more intriguing arms, too.

[SPEAKER_01]: Even some of the other guys, you know, like an Andy Fabian and Carson Dorsey have some intriguing stuff that I think is just a testament to the Orioles system and where it's at right now with just the pitching that they are starting to to really build throughout the organization.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, my apologies to Andy Fabian.

[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't mention him when I was doing the, you know, preliminary rundown, but Fabian 26 appearances this year between the complex and low way and he had a 1.59 ERA 39 and 2.3rds.

[SPEAKER_02]: He cates 62 and just 23 hits against him.

[SPEAKER_02]: So good numbers for Andy Fabian will move to Minnesota here real quick and Minnesota is sending a fun crop of dudes on the position player side will start with the pictures that they send.

[SPEAKER_02]: they send me get on hell bought us i think it's me get on hell bought us are they also send jacob hall much easier name for me a hunter hoops hoops hoops hoops hoops and then dillin quest ad as well along with zander c.c.

[SPEAKER_02]: they just sent me for a journey with these picture names and then offensively they're sending Billy Amick you know very good college bet omit is way their branded winnaker is going as well and then entry men does is also headed out to the Arizona fall.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to go with hoops, but hunter hoops underlying data is pretty good.

[SPEAKER_01]: You look at what he did from just allowing, just like a opponent's slash line, and 42 appearances this year between low AA and AA, he held opponents to a 141 batting average in a 494 OPS, a lot of inzone whiff between the fastball, the slider, and the splitter.

[SPEAKER_01]: So there's some interesting stuff there that, [SPEAKER_01]: just will be fascinating to see.

[SPEAKER_01]: He's going to wild delivery to or he like, it's not Carter, a cabsish, like, totally, but he does kind of jump at you with the ball like behind his back.

[SPEAKER_01]: So I think there's clearly some some just weird deception built in there.

[SPEAKER_01]: And then Miguel on hell.

[SPEAKER_01]: nasty cutter that that really chewed up bats this year, 22 years old.

[SPEAKER_01]: He was good until he missed time.

[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I think he was hurting June and we didn't see him throw after that.

[SPEAKER_01]: So always exciting, you know, when you get to see somebody that you didn't know if you were going to see him again this season, they end up not pitching again this season.

[SPEAKER_01]: And it's always good news when you hear that they're throwing in the hallway, because that means that they're going to be very, very fine for the next year.

[SPEAKER_01]: You never know.

[SPEAKER_01]: you know, where the timeline is at.

[SPEAKER_01]: So good to see him back out to you.

[SPEAKER_01]: But he was he was getting guys to swing and miss a good bit at 22 years old in high A and then the batsman.

[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, this is a really fun offensive crop.

[SPEAKER_01]: Billy Amick was a guy I was I was definitely skewing lower on.

[SPEAKER_01]: I think out of the draft just because I thought there would be way way too much with and of course, whiff is still a part of his game.

[SPEAKER_01]: But I I thought he showed some of those things up.

[SPEAKER_01]: You know, [SPEAKER_01]: The underlying contact rate would have pointed towards I would have thought him striking out north of 30% in his pro debut.

[SPEAKER_01]: So making a big, I think step forward in that regard is encouraging.

[SPEAKER_01]: And he turned in a really nice year when he was healthy.

[SPEAKER_01]: He missed a good portion of time, but came back at the end of the year, healthy.

[SPEAKER_01]: And we'll see, you know, it was only 59 games with an 810 OPS.

[SPEAKER_01]: So.

[SPEAKER_01]: definitely play I'm excited to see more of and then Brandon Winnaker is just told beyond belief and I think you look at that system.

[SPEAKER_01]: He's as told up as just about anybody he got in that twins farm system six foot six two hundred and ten pounds and they've played him at shortstop center field third base.

[SPEAKER_01]: He can run he's posting plus EVs but he's super aggressive and he whiffs a lot and the numbers weren't great this year.

[SPEAKER_01]: So [SPEAKER_01]: This is one of those guys so I think is a fun project at 20 years old and the tools are crazy so I'm looking forward to watching BP and just seeing how it goes about his business and seeing if there's any progress that can be made and the hit tool and play discipline department, but you have a guy that can potentially play a great center field or be able to also play the infield dirt with huge power.

[SPEAKER_01]: That's always going to be a fascinating prospect and then Henry Mendez.

[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.

[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like I'm trying to remember.

[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like he's bounced around a little bit.

[SPEAKER_02]: Was he on a trade?

[SPEAKER_01]: I think he was in multiple trades.

[SPEAKER_01]: Was he not in a bruise to Philly's to am I thinking of that correctly?

[SPEAKER_02]: I'm pulling it up right now.

[SPEAKER_02]: Henry Mendez.

[SPEAKER_02]: One quick question on Billy Amick though.

[SPEAKER_02]: He punched out on an 18% clip in his draft year of Tennessee.

[SPEAKER_02]: I am curious like, where you go to get to those with concerns that he might pay 30% of the time in pro ball.

[SPEAKER_01]: in 2024, right, so I get in 2024.

[SPEAKER_01]: tons of swing and miss on sliders.

[SPEAKER_01]: Almost a 40% chase rate on sliders in college with a 21% swinging strike rate.

[SPEAKER_01]: Changeups, he was getting chewed up by those as well and it was an inzone contact rate of like 79% which you know college usually doesn't vote well.

[SPEAKER_01]: But he now goes to pro ball and seems to recognize sliders and be more comfortable against them so [SPEAKER_01]: Clearly wasn't as much of a concern I think is the underlying data may have pointed towards and I think that's really encouraging But yeah, I need time I see a college chase pushing 40 on spin.

[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god gosh What's it gonna look like when you you know when you've got professional spin and got you clearly I think he was prepared for it and maybe knew that that was something that he needed to get better [SPEAKER_02]: got you.

[SPEAKER_02]: You know, Henry Mendez because he was part of two trades.

[SPEAKER_02]: Number one, most recently at the deadline, he was one of two prospects that went from Philly to Minnesota for Harrison Bader.

[SPEAKER_02]: So he was an Harrison Bader trade.

[SPEAKER_02]: And then he also was acquired a long side by Philadelphia, somebody that I know you thought could have been a top five overall pick in the draft a couple of years ago.

[SPEAKER_02]: Oliver Dunn went from Philly to Milwaukee for Henry Mendez and Robert Moore.

[SPEAKER_01]: That was when I never understood, but I don't want to file on for Robert Moore.

[SPEAKER_01]: That's crazy.

[SPEAKER_01]: That's the one I thought I remembered if I remember us talking about that trade.

[SPEAKER_01]: What ran to Robert Moore end up going?

[SPEAKER_02]: I'll tell you right now.

[SPEAKER_02]: Robert Moore.

[SPEAKER_02]: I thought he was a second round pick, which was even then.

[SPEAKER_02]: I thought we were like, wow.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: Robert Moore, not the guy who played in 1946.

[SPEAKER_02]: Robert Moore, the guy who was currently active right now.

[SPEAKER_02]: More was taken in the, as my hotel Wi-Fi buffers and that was, now as we're guys, I never understood it.

[SPEAKER_00]: I never understood it.

[SPEAKER_00]: Um, but.

[SPEAKER_02]: It's good trade.

[SPEAKER_02]: He was second round pick by Milwaukee in 2022 and they could rob her more so far in the minor leagues as a 673 OPS.

[SPEAKER_02]: He's in 229.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's not never going to.

[SPEAKER_01]: And the Brewers man, they usually nail it.

[SPEAKER_01]: Mendez is interesting.

[SPEAKER_01]: You got some really fascinating underlying bad at ball markers.

[SPEAKER_01]: You have an inzone contact rate of 92% this year in a 21% chase rate.

[SPEAKER_01]: and an EV-90 of 104.5 mAh, put some on the ground a little bit too much as a flatter swing, but he walks more than he struck out this year and he's got this really elevated his prospect stock.

[SPEAKER_01]: He's 21 years old and put together a really solid stretch in AA this season.

[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he played the whole year there and ended up turning in a really good year at 828 OPS.

[SPEAKER_01]: I pretty could get I think in the trade and then also guy that I think they want to just continue to see more of and if he can elevate a bit more he's going to be in a really good spot, but it's 21 years old to have the year that he had a 403 O BP, and does is is elevating his his stock for sure.

[SPEAKER_02]: Let's pivot to Cincinnati here real quick.

[SPEAKER_02]: Cincinnati, it's pretty sparse on the pitching front, but the bats are exciting that they are sending.

[SPEAKER_02]: Jonathan Harman is going on the pitching side as his Luke Hayden and Trevor Kunkle.

[SPEAKER_02]: Those are the three that they send, but they send Alfredo Duno, the catcher who has been amazing this year.

[SPEAKER_02]: They also send Leo Balkazar and Kim Collier.

[SPEAKER_02]: Not a very large group of guys, but Duno and Collier are certainly getting some headlines here.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think Collier is going to be the big draw and he has a chance to put up some big numbers out there with his power and just the improved ability to elevate.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's just was a bit of a, I wouldn't say lost your end up playing 95 games, but he or he didn't get to fully build on what was such a strong finish to last season.

[SPEAKER_01]: still just 20 years old and at the double a level I think showed some good things down the stretch including a five-hit game in this final week and it call your still a player that you look at and say this could be a piece of our future whether it seems like it may be more likely at first base but still again it can provide plus power and and get on base at a decent clip and [SPEAKER_01]: seemed to handle the double like move decently well didn't slug a ton this year after making a huge adjustment I felt like in the second half last year to slug more but I think that injury did hold him back some Alfredo do know I'm so pumped to see more of I mean [SPEAKER_01]: my live look at him in in L.A.

[SPEAKER_01]: was was really impressive and of course he took Liam Doyle deep, but just watching him go about his business behind the dish.

[SPEAKER_01]: I think is really stands out the fact that he turns in like close to plus run times, always breaks my brain.

[SPEAKER_01]: So he's a blast to watch and he's going to be one of the more [SPEAKER_01]: I think just intriguing prospects period sent out there and then Leo Baucas are a player that they were the reds were high on and there was a lot of buzz about he as he was at the lower levels and at the complex and it just hasn't fully come together for him as he's got to full season ball but he took a step forward this year and turned in an all right season at I think it was mostly double a so maybe they're hoping that he can build on that and as [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, let's pivot to Seattle here real quick.

[SPEAKER_02]: Seattle is sending Johnny Farmello who might be one of the most if not the most intriguing prospect over the years on a fall like this year.

[SPEAKER_02]: All the mechanical's going, but like no more about mechanical than we do Johnny Farmello, so like I you can make that argument that it's like you're excited to watch more Johnny Farmello.

[SPEAKER_02]: than really anybody.

[SPEAKER_02]: But pitching wise, they sent Tyler Cleveland out there.

[SPEAKER_02]: Cleveland.

[SPEAKER_02]: I think was a trade acquisition at this deadline.

[SPEAKER_02]: Christian Little, who bounced around high major programs.

[SPEAKER_02]: Christian Little is going out there as well.

[SPEAKER_02]: Brock Moore, another pitcher.

[SPEAKER_02]: They said they also sent Marcelo Perez and Stefan Rath.

[SPEAKER_02]: I think R.

A.

E.

T.

H.

And then offensively.

[SPEAKER_02]: Brock Rodden is going out [SPEAKER_01]: I'm eager to see Christian little.

[SPEAKER_01]: I think he can, I mean, they're using him as a starter still, but this is a big league arm.

[SPEAKER_01]: I think one way or another, especially if he ends up making a transition into a relief roll, where I think that fastball ticks up closer to the mid 90s.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's got some good characteristics to it.

[SPEAKER_01]: He's got a good slider, and he's got the sinker as well, to the force humor the sinker, and then the slider and a curveball.

[SPEAKER_01]: It seems like you can maintain maybe a starter's arsenal [SPEAKER_01]: Potentially projecting to the back of a rotation.

[SPEAKER_01]: He missed a couple of months this year.

[SPEAKER_01]: But at the very least, I think he's going to fill a big league roll one way or another.

[SPEAKER_01]: So a little out of intrigue, as you mentioned, bouncing around power five programs, but as one of the top recruits, and I think somebody that people were looking at and saying this guy could pitch his way into day one consideration if he just tracks the way that we think.

[SPEAKER_01]: And he just never really worked out for him collegiately the way that we thought.

[SPEAKER_01]: But at 22 years old still, I was 21 for most of the season.

[SPEAKER_01]: there's still plenty of time and this is a good opportunity to make up for some lost reps as he was hurt this year.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm so pumped to see Flarmelo because it was just a, this was a lost season for him.

[SPEAKER_01]: He played 29 games.

[SPEAKER_01]: The return from the ACL and then [SPEAKER_01]: He had the rib issue that they were going to be careful with and eased him back in.

[SPEAKER_01]: He got back for the end of the year, played really well down the stretch and homeward in one of the playoff games and still just 21 years old.

[SPEAKER_01]: He turned 21 two weeks ago.

[SPEAKER_01]: So time is still on his side, but you want to see Farmellos start to create some momentum going in and actually this has got to be a top 50 prospect without it doubt if he's just on the field and available with the power speed combination that he provides and some defense and center field.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.

[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, we have it to the last team that makes other peoria, Havaleena's.

[SPEAKER_02]: It is a San Diego Padres.

[SPEAKER_02]: And here's my thing about San Diego.

[SPEAKER_02]: They are in that weird buffer zone where they have nobody of intrigue.

[SPEAKER_02]: It seems like in the system outside of Ethan Sattles.

[SPEAKER_02]: And [SPEAKER_02]: they're going to spawn a couple of guys and two of those guys might be going to the Arizona fall league and this would start their, you know, kind of spawning and then they'll trade them for another big league piece next year.

[SPEAKER_02]: But they send Isaiah low, a whole bunch of pictures.

[SPEAKER_02]: Isaiah low, Mike Calmarales, Carson Montgomery is going as well.

[SPEAKER_02]: And then they send Tucker Musgrove, no relation to Joe.

[SPEAKER_02]: And then Johan Moreno is going out there as well.

[SPEAKER_02]: Ethan [SPEAKER_02]: I guess to the Arizona fall league Ryan Jackson is also going and then Brad in Carpathios is going as well that's a lefty hitting outfielder in the San Diego system.

[SPEAKER_02]: So Salis is the headliner, um, is there anybody else that jumps out to you on this front?

[SPEAKER_01]: I, I do always.

[SPEAKER_01]: a guy that had some helium in that in that system and then just turned in some rough years.

[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't go back to the second half last year and then what it looked like this year.

[SPEAKER_01]: But there's still just 22 years old, very athletic on the mound.

[SPEAKER_01]: I think there's still some intrigue there.

[SPEAKER_01]: Morano's got a good slider.

[SPEAKER_01]: That's about all I got there.

[SPEAKER_01]: Salas is the draw.

[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, [SPEAKER_01]: Totally lost the year because of what was it a back issue was it was it was it's what was the exact diagnosis for him a cellist that's a good question.

[SPEAKER_01]: I thought it was I don't want to miss speak, but it's like similar like Lumbar was it the classic like Lumbar spine inflammation thing stress reaction is lower back.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so great news that he's back and [SPEAKER_01]: set to be in the, you know, just just in a game setting again.

[SPEAKER_01]: So just eager to see him back on the map, back on the field.

[SPEAKER_01]: And then Carson Montgomery hasn't thrown since the beginning of the 2024 season.

[SPEAKER_01]: And it's interesting because he threw three outings.

[SPEAKER_01]: The final two or the final outing, he was, well, a four earnings two hits, no runs, one walks six case.

[SPEAKER_01]: His fastball average 96 in that outing.

[SPEAKER_01]: And we didn't see him again.

[SPEAKER_01]: And he hasn't thrown since then.

[SPEAKER_01]: So, [SPEAKER_01]: This could be one of those players that you just, you don't really know about and then you see him in the fall week touching 98 and you're like, whoa, where did this come from?

[SPEAKER_01]: And you mentioned with the, with the pod trays and the way they do things, he could be one of those candidates to, to be that guy because this stuff really was loud when we last saw him almost two years ago.

[SPEAKER_01]: But, [SPEAKER_01]: It has been a while, so I think there's a wide range of what things can look like.

[SPEAKER_01]: But Salus is the draw, and I think with Salus, it's just, priority one is can he be on the field and healthy?

[SPEAKER_01]: And then two is, what does the impact look like at the play?

[SPEAKER_01]: I thought you were going to do that.

[SPEAKER_01]: When we were there, and we saw them last year, steps in the right direction in the impact department, but then it just didn't seem to carry over, but we didn't also didn't get to see much of a sample of it being able to be tested, whether it would carry over or not.

[SPEAKER_01]: So I think that was part of the disappointment of not being able to see salices here.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.

[SPEAKER_02]: All right.

[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to get to the salt river raffters in a moment, but before that, I do want to tell you that it's cold and flu season.

[SPEAKER_02]: I'm getting over something, whether it's a cold, whether it's a flu, I have no idea.

[SPEAKER_02]: All I know is I just have sounded suboptimal on the radio and on the podcast over the last couple of days.

[SPEAKER_02]: So you have three options.

[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_02]: You can either take this knockoff knife.

[SPEAKER_02]: Well, at night, you can take mucinext during the day.

[SPEAKER_02]: or you can doomsday your whole life and apply for life insurance and if you do doomsday your whole life and apply for life insurance, I would recommend doing that with our friends at ethos.

[SPEAKER_02]: That's ethos ethos.com slash just baseball.

[SPEAKER_02]: Application times may vary rates may vary as well.

[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, as we jump into the salt river raffters.

[SPEAKER_02]: We've got five teams that constitute them.

[SPEAKER_02]: The Colorado Rockies, the Pittsburgh Pirates, the LA Angels, the Arizona Diamondbacks, and the Boston Red Sox.

[SPEAKER_02]: Let's start with the Rocky Prospects that are headed out there.

[SPEAKER_02]: Rocktober is on in a couple of years.

[SPEAKER_02]: Seems like we are probably two, three years away from that.

[SPEAKER_02]: But, Kate Denton is going out there.

[SPEAKER_02]: A lefty who had a tremendous start to the Uellington, Herrera is going out there as well.

[SPEAKER_02]: Jack Mahoney is headed out there.

[SPEAKER_02]: and then the other pictures that they are sending Ben Shields who they got from the Yankees in the Jake Bird deal and then Austin Smith is going out there as well and in terms of the bats they send Braille and Wimmer, they send Jiren Thomas and of course they send a Mr.

Charlie Condon, the Golden Spikes award winner, Condon is the headliner, Wellington Herrera did represent the Rockies in the future's game and that's a electric stuff.

[SPEAKER_02]: He'll factor out of their polepen at some point very soon.

[SPEAKER_01]: Oh no doubt, and that's the exact kind of candidate you usually want to see since out there is someone that if it's not going to be a lower level guy, someone that I think with the strong showing can be fast tracked into that bullpen, especially the Rocky's bullpen.

[SPEAKER_01]: Condon, as you mentioned, is the main draw on.

[SPEAKER_01]: It was a really solid year for Condon coming off of that wrist issue to do what he did.

[SPEAKER_01]: You make up for lost time at the end of May.

[SPEAKER_01]: I wouldn't say, it's tough because he did struggle down the finish, but I still think the swing and miss was mitigated in double a better than some people may have expected and maybe even myself included.

[SPEAKER_01]: What I'm interested in is [SPEAKER_01]: What's the focus for Condon in the Fall League?

[SPEAKER_01]: We know that he's going to crush mistakes and we know that he's going to hit stuff over the middle.

[SPEAKER_01]: I want to see his ability to stay on Span and utilize the whole field a little bit more.

[SPEAKER_01]: And I think he did that at a better clip this year.

[SPEAKER_01]: And that's why we saw him turn in in 820 OPS across all levels.

[SPEAKER_01]: But this is an environment and level of competition where [SPEAKER_01]: I think Conon's going to do really well and I think it's for a guy like Conon it's more specifically what are you working on it's not really the individual stats and on top of just getting more games under about I think that's got to be the the big focus Jared Thomas turned in a really nice year so also just a little bit more on on Conon he at 185 against sliders and I think if you combine it with curveballs [SPEAKER_01]: You know, 190 against sliders, curveballs.

[SPEAKER_01]: So I think that's going to be the folks, right?

[SPEAKER_01]: How do I stay in the zone longer?

[SPEAKER_01]: How do I stay on spin?

[SPEAKER_01]: Jared Thomas looks like he may have been a nice second round pick for the the Rockies as well and had a really good year, 850 OPS and handled double LLL also.

[SPEAKER_01]: So [SPEAKER_01]: Of course, came back down north a little bit there and there's some swing and miss, but I've thought turned in a really encouraging year for your second round pick and has the ability to pull the ball in the air pretty hard to write field as a left handed hitter and I think with him it's a little bit more selectivity, you'd like to see the approach get a bit better and then maybe it's easy able to play a little bit more center field, I don't think so, but maybe they'll give him more reps out there to continue to try to develop because that'll help his profile.

[SPEAKER_01]: but he did, you know, skew a little bit more towards playing left field predominantly down the stretch there.

[SPEAKER_01]: And then, yeah, shields got a big guard.

[SPEAKER_01]: Of course, they just want to see more of and has some prospect and trick there.

[SPEAKER_01]: And then, Herrera is probably the nastiest guy that they're bringing out there.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, it seems like far away her error is the nastiest guy that they're bringing out there.

[SPEAKER_02]: And like he's one of the more nasty guys that is going out of the ears on a fall.

[SPEAKER_02]: They get in general.

[SPEAKER_02]: So, extent to watch that lefty spin it a little bit Pittsburgh Pirates, who do the Pirates send?

[SPEAKER_02]: Well, on the pitching front, the Pittsburgh Pirates are going to be sending Derek Diamond out there.

[SPEAKER_02]: They send.

[SPEAKER_02]: Joshua Low-Shorne out there, L-O-E-S-C-H-O-R-N, Low-Shorne.

[SPEAKER_02]: They also sent Carlson Reed, who I know they're very high on.

[SPEAKER_02]: Dominic Parachi's going out there as well as the lefty Jaden Woods.

[SPEAKER_02]: And then offensively, they sent a couple of bats, Tony Blanco, humongous guy, six, seven, two, 40.

[SPEAKER_02]: A Smurlin Valdez, who I know you're very excited for, they also sent Will Taylor out there as well.

[SPEAKER_01]: Tony, can I just make a prediction?

[SPEAKER_01]: Tony Blanco is going to hit a ball 120 miles per hour in the Arizona fall.

[SPEAKER_01]: I love that I just there might not be anybody hitting the ball harder than him in the minor leagues.

[SPEAKER_01]: And I think about the Camp Baltimore miniv last year and some I don't know.

[SPEAKER_01]: It depends on what kind of ball is they decided to use out there.

[SPEAKER_01]: They like to just mix it up out there in the AFL.

[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to say Tony Blanco 120's coming this year.

[SPEAKER_01]: He's got legitimately 80 grade rock power.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's just the only play 29 games this year.

[SPEAKER_01]: He's been hurt so much in his career.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'll ready at 20 years old.

[SPEAKER_01]: But you're never going to fully overlook that kind of power.

[SPEAKER_01]: As Merlin Valdez, it's funny because I think with the performance of Connor Griffin and some of the other guys in the system, it's easy to forget that as Merlin Valdez was as impressive as anybody in that pirate system.

[SPEAKER_01]: And really is impressive as anybody at the level as he was playing at.

[SPEAKER_01]: It was a phenomenal year 26 homers.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's plus power as well.

[SPEAKER_01]: In an EV 90, a 108 miles per hour.

[SPEAKER_01]: and makes enough contact, right?

[SPEAKER_01]: It was a sub 25% strikeout rate.

[SPEAKER_01]: He hits the ball in the air consistently, and he's pretty patient.

[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's a guy that's starting to push towards top 100 prospect candidacy.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's 21 years old and just somebody to keep building on the nominal year for him to go get more reps in the AFL.

[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I feel like the pirate system is getting slept on a little bit.

[SPEAKER_01]: All of a sudden, they've got some bats here and Valdez is [SPEAKER_01]: one of them.

[SPEAKER_01]: And if you like sort by it by monster, whatever, he was good all year.

[SPEAKER_01]: Like there was not really many ebs and flows.

[SPEAKER_01]: So that's why I'm pumped to see more of him.

[SPEAKER_01]: Will will Taylor, I know that the production hasn't been great, but any time you got an athlete like that, he was a guy that was, was it Clemson that he was going to be playing football?

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, Clemson.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: They've got multiple guys that were going to be playing football Clemson.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: Taylor, did Taylor actually play football Clemson?

[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think so.

[SPEAKER_02]: Will Taylor?

[SPEAKER_01]: I was trying to remember, but I know that he was a multi-sport athlete with plenty of of intrigue in that regard, and it wasn't the best year from him, but you get exciting tools here.

[SPEAKER_01]: You never know what's going to happen.

[SPEAKER_01]: Ultimately, he's still turned into an 831 OPS.

[SPEAKER_01]: I think there's more swing and miss than you want to see from a player of that archetype and down.

[SPEAKER_01]: I think it was a little bit more jade because I see it down the stretch.

[SPEAKER_01]: There was a lot more swing and miss, but overall, I actually turned into [SPEAKER_01]: pretty decent year with an 831 OPS and a 373 OBP and hit 14 homers.

[SPEAKER_01]: So with his tools and as a multi-sport athlete through high school, I do think there's a guy that could come together a little bit later for him as he goes into what will probably be, it will be his 28th 23 season next year.

[SPEAKER_02]: you nailed it.

[SPEAKER_02]: He was a wide receiver for Deb on 2021 and 2022 wheel sellers.

[SPEAKER_02]: There was an alternate universe where a Baba Chandler could have been thrown.

[SPEAKER_01]: Could have been throwing the wheel teller, which is crazy.

[SPEAKER_01]: They said they should go that would be a good kind of piece of content.

[SPEAKER_02]: That is what the best outfield route group ever.

[SPEAKER_02]: Like Baba throwing the wheel Taylor if they're both up in the big leagues at some point.

[SPEAKER_02]: Like get out there at 2 o'clock because you're going to see some insane posts.

[SPEAKER_01]: Well, and they had who else, uh, white, uh, that was committed to Penn State.

[SPEAKER_02]: Tony, uh, no, not Tony White.

[SPEAKER_02]: Um, yeah, I know exactly what you're talking.

[SPEAKER_02]: Lonnie White.

[SPEAKER_01]: Lonnie White.

[SPEAKER_01]: They don't have a heck of a football team.

[SPEAKER_01]: That would be a cool piece of content having them run and routes and Bubba just errand it out.

[SPEAKER_01]: But, and skins too, I know you didn't play football, but, you know, you can throw the football, yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: But Taylor, much better year than I am, see if in thought.

[SPEAKER_01]: So, those types of players, I'm always gonna be a little bit more patient on too, because you're playing every sport is whole life, even into college.

[SPEAKER_01]: How much has he really been specializing on baseball?

[SPEAKER_01]: This might've been one of the first of a couple years that he's been doing that.

[SPEAKER_01]: 17% chase rate this year is always going to vote well as also for for a guy with his speed.

[SPEAKER_02]: All right.

[SPEAKER_02]: Go into the LA angels here.

[SPEAKER_02]: We've got a couple more teams to get through the LA angels sent Kyle Aement out there.

[SPEAKER_02]: And no, actually, pardon, that's a diamond back.

[SPEAKER_02]: These are.

[SPEAKER_02]: Those are really looking low goes here.

[SPEAKER_02]: They sent Ryan cost to you out there.

[SPEAKER_02]: They sent Will Jervais out there.

[SPEAKER_02]: Jervais left hand or six nine two hundred and twenty pounds.

[SPEAKER_02]: Brandon [SPEAKER_02]: They also send Fulton Lockhart to the Arizona Fall League, and then they send Najir Victor out there as well, who's from St.

[SPEAKER_02]: Thomas Virgin Islands, which is really cool.

[SPEAKER_02]: One floor as the catcher is headed out there as well as David Merchand was a repeat offender, and that is the grouping along with Roudi Rodriguez, the outfielder.

[SPEAKER_01]: You ready to watch one floor as just receive?

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: No, that fires me up.

[SPEAKER_01]: great defense back there.

[SPEAKER_01]: I think there's if he can be anywhere near we talk about the the angel system anywhere near decent offensively.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm saying like 90 WRC plus he's going to be a good backup catcher for a long time.

[SPEAKER_01]: So I think that's the prime candidate that you send out here and a lot of those types of players get catchers get sent out there.

[SPEAKER_01]: Roddy Rodriguez had a phenomenal year and Elijah and I talked about him.

[SPEAKER_01]: As when we're going through that some of the best performers at each level.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, he was old for a while way, but he came out of nowhere and had an 867 OPS at 19 home runs in an EV 90 of 16.5 miles per hour.

[SPEAKER_01]: So there's some loud tools there and some present bats beat and he can motor a little bit too.

[SPEAKER_01]: So there's some some fascination there.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'll say, well, [SPEAKER_01]: I just want to see some more from him, uh, but I think that the bats are probably a little bit more intriguing here and and Marshana I can't even tell you if I watched him play once this year he's going out there for a third time I know he was out there last year.

[SPEAKER_01]: I know he was out there last year switchheader trying to see what the numbers were this year Because yes, scrappy real team guy go get her can play third short and second.

[SPEAKER_01]: Oh What is this flashlight?

[SPEAKER_01]: 177 311 241 this year.

[SPEAKER_01]: That's why I didn't remember oh [SPEAKER_01]: All right.

[SPEAKER_01]: Well, he's, you go utility guy, the glove, the glove place.

[SPEAKER_02]: Go get him, David.

[SPEAKER_02]: Have a good time.

[SPEAKER_02]: All right.

[SPEAKER_02]: Two more teams.

[SPEAKER_02]: We got to talk about the Arizona Diamondbacks.

[SPEAKER_02]: And this time, I will tell you about our friend, Mr.

Amen.

[SPEAKER_02]: They're sending a whole bunch of pictures and a couple of hitters as well.

[SPEAKER_02]: Kyle Amen, is going out there.

[SPEAKER_02]: Big guys, 65 to 40.

[SPEAKER_02]: You're Dean Chalice is going out there as well.

[SPEAKER_02]: Drey Jamison.

[SPEAKER_02]: I'm really excited to see Drey Jamison throw in the Arizona fall league.

[SPEAKER_02]: David Hagman is headed out there as well and then around out the pitcher group Jacob's Steinmits 666230.

[SPEAKER_02]: He got some serious pub out of the draft.

[SPEAKER_02]: They sent Kenny Castillo a catcher.

[SPEAKER_02]: They also sent Yonsell Louise in infielder and then Jack Hurley, the former Virginia Tech hokey, said it [SPEAKER_01]: No, I picked him as a breakout candidate when we went like super, super deep dive.

[SPEAKER_01]: Like I want to know.

[SPEAKER_01]: And that go dart from across that like from across the entire room.

[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, 606 ERA this year between high A and double a sad.

[SPEAKER_01]: So I wouldn't say he broke out that said.

[SPEAKER_01]: 21 years old, fastball average 96 this year and he's got a slider in a splitter.

[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll see what happens.

[SPEAKER_01]: But if the Diamondbacks make the playoffs, does, do you say never mind, Ray come throw for us?

[SPEAKER_01]: Is that, do you think that ever gets considered here?

[SPEAKER_02]: There's a chance.

[SPEAKER_01]: Because I agree, I normally would never say that, but look at some of the names in the debacks bullpen right now.

[SPEAKER_02]: I know, I know.

[SPEAKER_02]: The way they're pitching right now, there is a chance that he throws in the postseason.

[SPEAKER_02]: The other way you could do it.

[SPEAKER_02]: Could you technically, could you technically do the Jeff McNeill thing from last year?

[SPEAKER_02]: Like McNeill was on a rehab in the AFL, is that right?

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, like he got a special exception.

[SPEAKER_02]: I wonder if I guess you can't do that because he's not on the IL right now.

[SPEAKER_02]: But Jamison, it was three innings, two runs.

[SPEAKER_02]: It didn't punch anyone out, walked three among the 13 hitters he saw on the big leagues.

[SPEAKER_02]: He struggled mightily.

[SPEAKER_02]: Jamison did in AAA.

[SPEAKER_02]: But again, a lot of it was on a rehab.

[SPEAKER_02]: It was 14 appearances, 20 hits.

[SPEAKER_02]: He walked eight in 12 and two-thirds innings.

[SPEAKER_02]: But like, Jameson's got high octane stuff.

[SPEAKER_02]: So like, it would be awesome.

[SPEAKER_02]: If you see two appearances from Jerry Jameson out in Arizona in the fall league, and he's just shoving and he's dodging everything, it's like, okay, again, you know what?

[SPEAKER_02]: Come join us.

[SPEAKER_01]: And the thing is is before the injury, so the triple A outings before he got up to the big leagues, it was seven really solid relief appearances, where I think he only allowed to run and two of the appearances, and then it was only one earned run, and then got up to the big leagues, got sent back down, and then that's where he had a couple really bad outings and then hit the I.L.

[SPEAKER_01]: So either way, really loud stuff, right fastball was averaging 98 this year, [SPEAKER_01]: And when you look at the outlook for the, the Diamondbacks next year, Jamison is, I think an important part of that one way or another, whatever the role is.

[SPEAKER_01]: So I think a key guy to watch there.

[SPEAKER_01]: David Hagenman, make out him in that Merrill Kelly deal.

[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_01]: He's good.

[SPEAKER_01]: I think this is a really good get for them.

[SPEAKER_01]: And he, I think they tapered off his earnings or that or he, [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, maybe just he wasn't feeling right.

[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, because he stopped throwing on on, maybe the season may have, no, it wouldn't have ended.

[SPEAKER_01]: September 3rd was the last time we saw him throw.

[SPEAKER_01]: But before that, he was rattled off some really good outings after the trade.

[SPEAKER_01]: He was at low-way, and [SPEAKER_01]: Then after the trade was sent straight to high A, his first four starts, 17 and third zennings, only five earned runs as a two, six, y'all right, but two walks and 25 strikeouts, six, four, 215 pounds, fastball sets 93 to 95, slider looks like an above average pitch, change upbooks, I can above average pitch, curveball looks like an above average pitch, so you got a trio of quality secondaries and a fastball that's good enough.

[SPEAKER_01]: I did this is a good get from them and I think they're eager to see more and it's a big starters bill.

[SPEAKER_01]: I think he has a great chance of being again back into the rotation starter for them and assuming he's healthy and another example just a guy that he saw him not finish the year.

[SPEAKER_01]: So you didn't know what the exact situation is and now we find out, hey, he must be fine because he's going to be thrown in the AFL.

[SPEAKER_01]: Steinmech has been heard as well.

[SPEAKER_01]: Like we didn't see him [SPEAKER_01]: all of 2025.

[SPEAKER_01]: He finished the year last year and then that was that.

[SPEAKER_01]: And he had some really good outings at the end of last year.

[SPEAKER_01]: I think there's still some, a lot to like here.

[SPEAKER_01]: It was really young for the draft.

[SPEAKER_01]: He has one, two, three, four, five different pitches, sinker, four seamer, curve, ball slider, sweeper, [SPEAKER_01]: and he's six, five, two, twenty.

[SPEAKER_01]: He missed his entire age 21 season.

[SPEAKER_01]: He's still a guy that I can become a good pitching prospect here.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just curious after a year off, he might look, he was long and lanky.

[SPEAKER_01]: He might be strong and more physical now and all of a sudden he might be sitting closer to the mid 90s and the low 90s and another guy that just could pop up and you're like, whoa.

[SPEAKER_01]: Here's Jake Steinmeetz, so another one of those candidates I think they could come out of nowhere.

[SPEAKER_01]: Y'all, it's always, he's just a well-rounded ball player.

[SPEAKER_01]: It just seems to every time I check in, have an OPS and the high 700s, just put that on ball, find the gaps.

[SPEAKER_01]: And I think he profiles more as kind of a utility in filter, it could maybe be in every day's second baseman, but turned in another solid season this year, and only struck out 16% of the time.

[SPEAKER_01]: And then Jack Hurley is crazy tooled up.

[SPEAKER_01]: There's no doubt about that.

[SPEAKER_01]: There's always been some swing and miss there and there was a lot this year.

[SPEAKER_01]: He shook out 41% of the time.

[SPEAKER_01]: So I think it's just okay.

[SPEAKER_01]: How can we rain this in a little bit?

[SPEAKER_01]: got you.

[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, last but not least, the team we got to talk about finally is the Boston Red Sox and the Boston Red Sox are setting an interesting clump to the Arizona fall league to join the Salt River Rust Raptors pitching wise.

[SPEAKER_02]: They send Jonathan brand the five foot nine righty Jonathan brand is going.

[SPEAKER_02]: Joe Joe in Garcia is also headed out there for the Boston Red Sox and then the big ticket name out here.

[SPEAKER_02]: his Luis Parallis for Boston.

[SPEAKER_02]: Parallis coming off of what Tommy John surgery, right?

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: Parallis is back into the fold.

[SPEAKER_02]: Isaac Stevens is the other arm that they send out there.

[SPEAKER_02]: And then Batwise, they send the username we talked about that password is Justin St.

[SPEAKER_02]: Garcia, Johann Fran Garcia is his brother and Johann Fran Garcia is headed out there.

[SPEAKER_02]: The catching prospect, they also send an outfielder in Nellie Taylor and Stanley Tucker.

[SPEAKER_02]: Luis Parallis, you are [SPEAKER_01]: I will not, and we'll be there no matter what, he might be the best pitching prospect out here.

[SPEAKER_01]: I really do believe that because, and we got to see him throw a couple innings when he came back and it was really impressive.

[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he was he average 99 miles per hour and his first couple outings back and, but when you look at what, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you [SPEAKER_01]: This guy has stuff like this.

[SPEAKER_01]: One of the best fastballs in the minor leagues with the carry and the velocity and he was in the midst of really stamping himself.

[SPEAKER_01]: I think is one of the best pitching prospects in baseball before going down last year with the cutter splitter slider combination.

[SPEAKER_01]: We were talking about him a ton in 2024 with the way that he had started the year.

[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he was dominating most 40% carry.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's so [SPEAKER_01]: Of course, it's going to be tampered and they're going to ease him in there, but even one to two-anning spurts, maybe they'll stretch him out to three or four, as he gets a few more under his belt, it's going to be some of the most high octane stuff that you've got out there.

[SPEAKER_01]: Joe Joe and Gracia, I think, and now he, do you may go by Joe?

[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.

[SPEAKER_01]: He was off to a crazy start to the year before getting hurt.

[SPEAKER_01]: His first four starts, he, I mean, opponents were hitting 175 against him.

[SPEAKER_01]: He was striking out 34% of badders at the high-a level as just a funky lefty.

[SPEAKER_01]: 93 on the fastball sliders sweeper change up that all were generating plenty of lift through those first four outings and a 61% crumb all right.

[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm just excited to see more of him because he was clearly off to a good start and has some funk to him as as a left handed pitcher, you know, on fronts turned in some good seasons.

[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know exactly what it looked like this year, I'm pulling up the numbers.

[SPEAKER_01]: But I know that there's been some good stretches.

[SPEAKER_01]: at the complex and before that, but still just 20 years old, turned it into 800 OPS, has above average raw power and has a catcher who elevates the ball consistently, still a solid prospect in that red-sox system.

[SPEAKER_01]: And then, Nellie Taylor is very underrated.

[SPEAKER_01]: When you look at the skill set and the tools that he brings to the table, I understand that the surface of a number is weren't great, but it was a sub-20 chase.

[SPEAKER_01]: He elevates consistently.

[SPEAKER_01]: The EVs are plus.

[SPEAKER_01]: There's a 48% hard hit rate, it seems like there's just something that needs to be adjusted with the swing path and the way that he's moving in the box, but he's a candidate where something could just click and he unlocks it, because there's no reason that that guy should be slug him 350.

[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll see if there's more in the tank there from him as well, but I still think he's like the perfect kind of prospect that's maybe not fitting in a lot of top 30s for the red socks and things like that.

[SPEAKER_01]: You send him out there because he's worth the time and to see what you could maybe get out of him.

[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like that's a perfect AFL candidate outside of the elite prospects or guys that missed a lot of time.

[SPEAKER_01]: And then Stanley Tucker was hurt the whole year.

[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think he played a game this year if I'm not mistaken.

[SPEAKER_01]: And maybe only played extended and had a 580 OPS last year.

[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't know what specifically they see out of Tucker, but maybe he showed some really good things down the backfields and they want to see more from him.

[SPEAKER_02]: possibly.

[SPEAKER_02]: That's our program folks.

[SPEAKER_02]: That was the Peoria Havalinas and the Salt River Raptors.

[SPEAKER_02]: Part three will be the Scottsdale scorpions in the surprise Soaro's.

[SPEAKER_02]: It'll either be me or Elijah.

[SPEAKER_02]: Assuming Elijah, I'm not sure.

[SPEAKER_01]: Before we wrap up, something crazy that I noticed.

[SPEAKER_01]: I guess I had missed, and I just want to figure out what is going on.

[SPEAKER_01]: So remember, start of the season.

[SPEAKER_01]: Alejandro Rosario out for the year, right?

[SPEAKER_01]: Yep.

[SPEAKER_01]: He would need Tommy John surgery, right?

[UNKNOWN]: Yep.

[SPEAKER_01]: As of the end of July, [SPEAKER_01]: Alejandro Rizario had not undergone the surgery yet.

[SPEAKER_01]: And there's no explanation why.

[SPEAKER_01]: Just as you know.

[SPEAKER_01]: And there's still yet to be an update.

[SPEAKER_01]: Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News as of July 24th.

[SPEAKER_01]: So they had not yet had the surgery.

[SPEAKER_02]: What?

[SPEAKER_01]: No, no updates.

[SPEAKER_01]: Nobody knows.

[SPEAKER_01]: Like.

[SPEAKER_01]: publicly.

[SPEAKER_01]: I've thrown some feelers out to people with other teams.

[SPEAKER_01]: they've said they've had conversations about like how it is weird, but nobody really.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sure somebody knows, but at least they don't want to tell me.

[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if there's a difference in opinion of like what they wanted to do, like maybe Resario wants to rehab it, but you would think that the Rangers would just say that, right?

[SPEAKER_02]: Or Resario would just say, yeah, I mean like it would honestly like take blame away from the Texas Rangers.

[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, oh no, Resario wants to try and push through this, so if it doesn't work, it's not on us.

[SPEAKER_01]: Correct.

[SPEAKER_01]: Or Resario would just come out and say that himself.

[SPEAKER_01]: crickets.

[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't know.

[SPEAKER_01]: I just, that was, this is one of the more, and I, you don't know what's going on.

[SPEAKER_01]: There could be so many more, so many things at hand, and the last thing I want to do is kind of create speculation, but I'm updating the Ranger system, and I was just trying to do some more digging to see what when we could expect him to be back.

[SPEAKER_01]: and caught that and I'm like, wait, what?

[SPEAKER_01]: So, from a prospect, the ranking perspective, I'd imagine that, unless he is trying to go rehab and avoid, you know, it's surgery, and he's gonna maybe come back next year, but they would have said that, that's the weird thing.

[SPEAKER_01]: then, you know, I, you could expect him next year.

[SPEAKER_01]: But if that's not the case, and there's a different reason why he hasn't got the surgery and he still needs to get the surgery, then we're not gonna see him in 26.

[SPEAKER_01]: So, I don't know, it's just, one of the more peculiar situations, I can remember.

[SPEAKER_02]: This, I mean, this right here is, [SPEAKER_02]: Exhibit A of why like teams should be more transparent with their minor leg injuries, especially with like their top prospects like would you rather people speculate, you know, like it would be so much better for everybody involved if like they just nip this in the bud.

[SPEAKER_01]: You still have to disclose these things anyways when you go to trade guys and, like, so that's why I don't get the whole point.

[SPEAKER_01]: I can understand not wanting to share as much as you're required to with major trade guys, but I don't understand the, I mean, it's the same thing with the Astros, like, with Anderson Brito, it was undisclosed.

[SPEAKER_01]: And I like, dig around, right?

[SPEAKER_01]: It was a shoulder thing.

[SPEAKER_01]: Like, why can't you just say it's a shoulder thing?

[SPEAKER_01]: You don't even have to say the exact severity of it.

[SPEAKER_01]: You can just say it's a shoulder thing.

[SPEAKER_01]: But undisclosed, like, yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: I could be, remember these being those stuff?

[SPEAKER_01]: How long was it knee before it was shorter?

[SPEAKER_01]: A year, right?

[SPEAKER_01]: Was it in a year?

[SPEAKER_01]: Like at least at least five, six months.

[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm sure there was an E issue, but like you can't just hide behind that.

[SPEAKER_01]: You gotta say this older, too.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's gonna eventually come out if it's a real issue.

[SPEAKER_01]: So that's just been a frustrating point for me.

[SPEAKER_01]: Just like...

[SPEAKER_01]: I was trying to do our job on this front but also then it breeds speculation from fans like I'm looking on Twitter And I'm seeing fans just like what's the deal?

[SPEAKER_01]: Why is this happening reach a like responding to beat riders and Trying to come up with their own at least of course the mind wanders and like that's not fair to risario and it's just it's weird so First and foremost hope everything's good with him beyond that and you know Maybe he did get the surgery name and said anything but [SPEAKER_01]: Where is the communication there?

[SPEAKER_01]: It's very bizarre and I'm hoping we find out because he's one of the best pitching prospects in the game when healthy and I'm we're almost done.

[SPEAKER_01]: I have no idea.

[SPEAKER_01]: hopefully we get an answer.
