Today I'm sharing about how to untangle your past with Vedic astrology.
So you'll need to have your free Vedic birth chart from Quiet Mind astrology.com.
And then you'll see what dasha you're currently in and what placements are in your chart and how to start to read what this says about your past and the timeline of your life that led you to today.
I'm Jeremy Devons.
I've been studying Vedic astrology for many years now, looking at thousands of case studies.
Everything I share is based on my research and experience with real people.
So when you want to untangle your past, that means you want to look at what's happened and make sense of it and get perspective on it.
And this is what astrology is the best at.
So knowing your own ascendant Moon and sun tells you a lot about your personality and knowing what Dasha you're born and tells you what energy was most present at that time of your life.
So the Dasha's determined by your Moon nakshatra.
We won't get into all that details now, but you get the Dasha's laid out for free.
I quiet my astrology.com and I'll tell you what Dasha you're currently in.
And the Dasha's go in the same sequence and you can think of it like a tree where fruit becomes ripe at certain years.
So when you're in the Saturn Dasha, the Saturn fruit is ripe and the Saturn karmas are active.
So for example, using a example chart when Saturn is in Pisces and you're going through this Saturn dasha, all the themes of Saturn in Pisces in the 10th house in the chart that I'm showing as an example, and Saturn retrograde in perfect badrapada.
All those details are the major headline, like the top line story of what's going on in those years of your life.
And if you're born in the Rahu Dasha, this is typically a time that's more challenging for people.
When you're born in the Rahu Dasha, it means gives you a challenging childhood.
If you're born in any malefic graha's childhood, so that can be Rahu, Mars, Saturn, K2.
If you're born in these dashas, that's the first dasha you experience from birth, then you're likely to have a difficult childhood.
That's not a blanket statement for everybody.
If you have a Venus or Jupiter Dasha you're born in doesn't guarantee you're going to have a positive childhood, but it is a important factor.
So that helps you understand the early development of what dasha you're born into and tells you what your childhood was like.
And again, you'll want to look at the placement.
So let's say if somebody is born in the Rahu Dasha, that can tell us there's going to be some intensity and change in foreign environments in the early childhood because that's what Rahu represents.
But when it's an Aquarius in the 9th house in this chart in front of about your pada, this tells us more details about how that time really expresses.
So beginning in the 9th house, they might have a lot of travel during this time as a childhood and born in the Rahu Dasha, as an example, being an Aquarius, they might be involved in lots of different communities and being brought to different social circles, meeting lots of people, especially spiritual people, because it's the 9th House of beliefs and spirituality and religion.
And this is an example of being born in the Rahu Dasha doesn't just mean Rahu things, but we've got to look where Rahu is in the chart and what that means.
So as you go through your own timeline of your dashas in your life and look to that placement in your chart and interpreting that placement now, it's beyond the scope of this episode.
And that's something we can do one-on-one in a reading quiet my astrology.com.
You can schedule a reading, we'll look at it, but for today, you can see what major theme, what fruit was ripe at that time of your life.
For example, when somebody enters AK-2 Dasha, there's often a big sense of loss and change in their life, like leaving a job or leaving a state or a country, leaving a relationship.
These kind of things are very common when somebody enters AK-2 Dasha just as a broad, broad blanket statement, because K2 represents losses and change, but the K2 placement in the chart is going to tell you so much more about what that dash is really like.
Like in this chart, K2's in Leo, so they're born with K2 and Leo in the 3rd house.
They might be letting go of skills that they were attached to that define them and their identity.
This is true for anybody who's going through K2 dash with Leo in the 3rd house as a Gemini Ascendant or Moon.
So this is an example of how the Dasha plays out.
And yes, you can do it from the ascendant and the moon chart.
I'm just talking about the ascendant on these examples.
So the dashas show you the timeline of life when things play out, when the fruit is ripe of your karma.
The birth chart tells you the tendencies, the strengths, the challenges, the shadow side, the light side of you as a broad overview of your whole life.
Your D9 chart shows what you're evolving towards and it can be very similar.
It can be very different than your main birth chart, but if you want to understand who you're evolving into when you grow up and that can be very young, you can be very old, but it's you're evolving into the D9 chart and those karma's, those placements, those things are expressing more and more as you get older.
So for example, if this chart has sun and Scorpio in the birth chart, and then it goes on to have, let's say just Sun and Sagittarius in the D9.
It's going from being very deep and internal and introspective and finding power in mysteries and spiritual growth to being in Sagittarius.
Then the D9 chart is like you're growing through travel, through different philosophical and religious and spiritual teachings, working with teachers and gurus and mentors.
So your D9 is telling you what you're evolving into and how you're growing through life.
You need to look at both to see the kind of trajectory of life and the Dasha show you the timeline of the major turning points.
Very common, like going into the Venus Dasha that people get married in the Venus Dasha, have kids, things like this.
Going into the Moon Dasha, women become mothers in the Moon Dasha is very common.
Or you go into the sun dasha and you have a lot of fame and success and notoriety and achievements in your sun dasha, right?
These again are the broad overview just based on the graha.
But to really know what is going to happen at that time and what's happened in the past as you go back through time of your dashas, that is telling you that energy was present there.
And that was the major theme.
And it's very important that you do it holistically, looking at your whole chart and you deny not just the dashas and just saying Rahu dasha is bad, Mars dasha is bad.
It's not necessarily true.
And I've seen many examples where Mars and Rahu dasha is very positive or very steady because of their placement and the aspects in the chart and also their own awareness and their inner work.
So as you want to look back to understand and learn from yourself in the past and your patterns and your behaviors and the things that have happened in your life, these are the tools I recommend looking at mainly your dashas, the main karmas of the birth chart and then how that evolves into the D9 as you evolve through life.
And it may seem like a lot, but again, if you were curious about this schedule of reading, we'll go into it and there is a lot there.
I mean, life is many things.
So it's not so simple as to say your life is just only this way if you're in a Saturn Dasha.
You're not only disciplined in that time and learning lessons of humility, there's also many other things happening during the Saturn Dasha or any Dasha.
So again, this is how you can look at it and then you can see what major events happened when the Dasha has changed and you'll likely find amazing correlations.
It's always just incredible to me when I see these things.
People becoming very spiritual when they go in their K2 dasha.
People becoming very disciplined when they go in their Saturn Dasha.
For me, when I went from Jupiter to Saturn, that's the sequence.
Jupiter is always before Saturn, I was in a very playful, fun, always joking, always laughing with my friends time in Jupiter dasha and then went to the Saturn dasha and they're like, oh, you're so serious now.
Like what happened?
You got so serious, right?
That's a common movement that happens from Jupiter to Saturn where you become more mature, more serious, more grounded at any age, whenever it happens.
And it's also, again, not just Jupiter and Saturn, but where they are on your birth chart and how they are placed.
And I've got many resources for that.
There's a Decode Your Birth Chart training on my site, kuamintastrology.com, that'll guide you through how to read each placement in your chart and how that lays out for the dashes as well.
And if you found this helpful, let me know in the comments and let me know if there's something more you want to see in future episodes.
And hopefully this gives you a good template of where to look for in your chart of how to untangle your past that make sense of the timeline of things.
And it's a lot of the work now is, is for you to go into it and like start to interpret and read it and see what each timeline, each part of the timeline was showing you.
So hope you find it helpful and look forward to sharing more with you next time.
