Are you guys ready for a second date update.
I hope we can make a love match.
Speaker 2Let's do it.
Speaker 1Going to Bristol this morning, We've got Stacy on the line, who went on a great first date.
She's getting ghosted and wants to know why.
Good morning, Stacy, Hi, good morning, thanks for having me.
Welcome to the show.
So tell us about this great first date.
Speaker 3Well, I did have a great first date with this guy that I met on you know, like one of those dating apps, like one of a million out there, and it was wonderful.
We went to this really nice restaurant for dinner and just overall the date was amazing, perfect guy.
And you know, it's crazy because we have the same life goals, like we want to get married and have a family, and you know, I called and texted him a few times after the date to thank him.
But it's kind of weird because now I'm getting ghosted and I really don't know why I So, yeah, it's weird.
Speaker 2His name is Nate.
The producer says, his name is Nate.
Speaker 1But you in one date you found out all about your life goals.
Speaker 2That's a lot.
You got down to business.
Speaker 3Well, I'll tell you what when something feels organic, you just have to roll with it.
And I felt like we were just on the same trap.
Speaker 1Okay, and you're getting ghosted?
Was there a lot of alcohol?
And I'm just trying to find think of reasons why maybe you're getting ghosted.
Did you drink too much?
Speaker 4Oh?
Speaker 3No, nothing like that.
I think maybe I had like one cocktail.
Speaker 5Okay, Okay, Wait, so you said you found out a lot about him.
Did you like insta stalk him beforehand and then you went into the date like knowing way too much information?
Speaker 3No, nothing like that.
I just you know when you're when you date a lot, you kind of know, like the questions you want to ask to get no people, Sure, So I kind of just kind of came in already knowing what I wanted to know this guy.
Speaker 2Okay.
Speaker 1And so you felt there was an instant connection between the two of you.
Speaker 3Honestly, I really did.
Yeah, all right, I think it was right there.
Speaker 1I think we should just call him up, you guys, absolutely, that's all right.
Speaker 2So listen, you're gonna be listening in.
At any point.
Speaker 1If you want to talk to Nate, you can, but we're just gonna ask him to be honest and tell us why he's ghosting.
Speaker 2Are you ready for the answers?
Speaker 3Yep, let's do it.
Speaker 2This is a tough one.
She sounds like a sweetie.
I don't know, I don't know.
Speaker 5I think there might be something to the insta stalking thing.
Speaker 2She does sound a little crazy.
She has that voice.
Speaker 6You know what I mean.
Speaker 2No, Jeff, i'd be judge.
Hello, Hi, is Nate there?
Speaker 6Yes, this is Nate.
Speaker 2Hey Nate, It is Courtney, Nate, It's Walmart Jeff.
Speaker 1Hey Nate, It's Savannah and we're calling from Kiss ninety five seven.
Speaker 2How are you.
Speaker 6I'm doing fantastic.
Are you today this morning?
Oh?
Speaker 2We're good.
Welcome to the show.
It is a second date update.
Speaker 1It's a feature we do where if you go on a first date and it's a great time and you get ghosted, but you want answers, you call us and we get the answers.
Speaker 2So that's why we're calling you this morning.
Nate.
Ooh okay, okay, So let me refresh your memory.
Speaker 1Stacey called us.
She said, you guys went on a first date.
You guys met online on a dating app.
She says, you're like the perfect guy.
It was like a dream date.
And you have a lot of life goals in common.
But she's reached out to you a couple of times and now you're ghosting or how was the date for you?
Speaker 6Well, well you just said right there.
Just I mean, it makes me a little uneasy.
He's just up fun.
Hey, yeah, I remember the date, and I remember staying let me just say that.
Okay, that date was intense, Okay, intent.
Speaker 2As in, how why.
Speaker 6I'm telling you the first ten minutes of this thing, right, yeah, so she.
Speaker 4Was saying my name, she was saying my name, my last name, right, and she kept saying it as her last name, trying to make sure it sounded good.
Speaker 6I'm not even like totally like I'm.
Speaker 4On defense of my one that she wants to take my last name or keep her own name anyway with the whole thing, but the fact that you're coming out here assuming my last name in the first ten minutes we met, woa off wine, like, I mean yeah, and then immediately she says she wants to make plans for.
Speaker 6New Year's I mean, we just got out of I just got out.
Speaker 4Of a Halloween costume.
Speaker 6Man, want to make plans for New Years?
Speaker 4And away on Valentin i'd say so.
Now we're thinking four months after the first like ten minutes we met.
Speaker 6Okay, that's just way too soon.
Speaker 4I mean, yeah, she she she's definitely.
She's just looking to get married, have kids and doesn't matter with Hills.
Speaker 2Okay, that's a lot.
Speaker 3Oh my god, Nate, I am so angry at you right now.
Do you have any idea how long I waited for you to text me back?
Speaker 2I am.
Speaker 3I'm shaking in anger, like this is ridiculous.
I could have already moved on with someone else and all you had to do was text me back after our date.
What kind of gentlemen are you?
Because no so decent guy would do that.
I was so wrong about you.
Speaker 2Okay, well, I guess it's a good time to tell you, Nate.
Stacy's also listening in so surprise.
Speaker 1I do feel though, Nathan, you should have told Stacey.
Speaker 2You should have told you weren't interested.
Speaker 3That would have been nice because I could have spent the last couple of weeks chatting it up with someone else and maybe trying to find my soulmate.
Speaker 4True, I don't think in the I don't think any taking someone's last name and then talking about going away three months.
Within the first ten minutes of meeting is a healthy conversation.
It tells me that you're not looking for Nate for Nate, You're looking for someone to fill needs.
Speaker 3You were giving off all the wrong signals because we already started talking about, you know, future plans, trying to see if our goal is aligned.
So if that's what you were looking for, you completely gave me the wrong impression of yourself.
And frankly, you're the one to blame for all this.
Speaker 1Okay, you know, usually usually at this point I offer to pay for a second date, Like.
Speaker 2Hey, Nate, can I just say you dodged a boy here?
This sek is crazy, crazy.
Speaker 3Don't I'm not crazy.
Speaker 2I know what I want, all right.
She knows what she wants and she wants to go out and get it.
I got it.
Stay luck to you.
Speaker 4Then, yes, I wait, if you're looking for a soulmate, you're swiping in the wrong direction.
You can't get it an online dating.
Speaker 2Wait question for you?
Speaker 4What?
Speaker 2Wait?
Wait?
Speaker 5So what would be like your preferred timeline?
Like if you're looking for your soulmate?
Like, what is what does your timeline look like?
Speaker 2Three weeks ago?
You don't have a timeline when it's your soulmate.
Speaker 3Well no, but like listen, I already said, when something's organic, it'll just happen.
But you know what, I thought maybe Fate would actually step in at this time, but I guess not, And I guess Nate is not the gentleman.
Speaker 1I thought he was.
Okay, can we just Stacy, you have no desire to go out with Nate again?
Nate, do you have any desire to go out with Stacy again?
Maybe, like you guys can slow it.
Speaker 2Down a bit.
Speaker 4Maybe, I mean, like I just want to get to know people and have a good time.
Speaker 3I'm so angry right now.
And you know what, at least I know where his head is at.
Speaker 2Yes, at least you both know all right.
Speaker 1Well, Stacy and Nate, we appreciate you guys being on a second date update and being so honest and open with us.
Speaker 3Well, thanks for having me.
Sorry that you know it didn't work out in my favor, I guess
