Speaker 1

Hey, Ashley, Hi, Hey.

Speaker 2

Welcome to the show.

I hope we can get you some answers.

Tell us about this great first date you went on.

Speaker 3

Sure, his name is Derek, Okay, and we went to a brewery.

Speaker 4

Together, nice cue.

Speaker 3

It was good.

We had beer, we talked the whole time, and then afterwards we went pumpkin picking too.

Speaker 1

Perfect time of year, Like you went to a pumpkin patch.

Speaker 3

Yeah, I'm so into like the fall, into pumpkin picking, into all the Halloween events, like I'm here for it.

Speaker 1

Okay, So it sounds like it was a great first date.

Speaker 3

Yeah, yeah, absolutely.

I had so much fun.

And then afterwards, you know, I was being polite.

I wanted to reach out to him to just thank him for such a good time.

Speaker 1

Okay.

Speaker 3

Yeah, I've just I've been ghosted.

Speaker 1

Okay.

Speaker 2

So that's you did reach out to him, you thanked him for the date, and he has not responded.

Speaker 1

Is that what's going on.

Speaker 3

That's pretty much it.

Okay, it's the weirdest thing, like we had really the best time.

Speaker 5

Question question you mentioned doing fall things you guys didn't go on, like a haunted hay ride or anything, right, like did he get scared and like he's feeling a shame that you.

Speaker 3

Know, yeah, you go right, and no, it's nothing like that.

Okay, literally just a pumpkin patch.

Speaker 2

Okay, less, all right, let's calm.

I'm gonna put you on hold, Ashley.

You're gonna be listening in.

I'm gonna ask Derek just to be honest and tell us how he thought the date went, and then you can talk to him at any point.

Speaker 3

Okay, Okay, thank you.

Speaker 5

It sounds like a great sounds like a great first date to make I know, it sounds like so cute, like something I do with my friends.

Speaker 1

Oh maybe maybe that's the problem.

Speaker 5

It was too frenzy.

He felt like he was one of the girls, like drinking beer.

Instagram photos you know, could be.

Speaker 1

Hi, is Derek there?

Speaker 2

Yeah, Hey Derek, it's Courtney, Derek.

Speaker 1

It's Walmart chef.

Hey Derek, it's Savannah.

Speaker 2

We're calling from Kiss ninety five to seven.

You're on the radio this morning, Derek.

Speaker 4

Oh boy, Okay, how's it going, guys?

Speaker 6

It's good I win something.

Speaker 2

Well, you won the chance to be on second date update.

That's what you won this morning, Derek.

Okay, so well obviously by that, by that sound, you know what it is.

You went on somebody went on a first date with you, and now you're ghosting them.

And I'm just gonna go straight up and say it.

Ashley said she had a great date with you, brewery, pumpkin patch.

Speaker 1

She reached out to you, and you're ghosting her.

Speaker 6

Yeah, what's the what's the reason?

Speaker 1

Why was the date not?

She told us?

What did she say?

It was like the perfect date or the best date or a I don't know.

Yeah, I wasn't listening.

It was basically a really cute fall kind of date.

It was like her was a dream date, a dream day.

There it is.

Speaker 5

There you go, Jeff, Was it a dream date for you?

Speaker 6

No?

I mean I planned it and I wanted it to be a good date, and I was hoping it would.

But I I really should have probably I should have been more upfront and I should have just seen the.

Speaker 4

Red flags, you know, along the way.

Speaker 6

She was she was pretty rude to the staff and short with them.

Speaker 1

Okay, at the brewery or the pumpkin patch.

Speaker 6

At the brewery, Yeah, And I think it's a it's a really a not not a great sign when you see someone rude to service workers.

And uh, that was that was not great.

She just complained about just everything.

Speaker 4

I mean, complained about the beer.

Speaker 6

You know, nothing was good enough for her.

And we went to the pumpkin patch and I swear to God, no pumpkin was good enough for her.

It's like she would literally just go down the line picking up, looking at each pumpkin.

Speaker 4

Saying nope, nope, nope.

You know, she was so perfectionist.

She actually she got so annoyed she like threw a pumpkin out of anger, like a little one.

Speaker 1

So on a date, she actually threw a pumpkin.

Speaker 6

Yeah, I picked it up and like threw it across like the thing.

It was.

I was like, She's like, this one the stem is too long, this one of the stems too effing short.

Speaker 2

You know.

Speaker 6

I was like, it just was not I wanted it to be fun, but okay, it was it really wasn't.

Speaker 2

I'm gonna put but she's listening in Ashley, did you throw a pumpkin like out of anger?

Speaker 3

Oh my gosh, look like if something feels uncomfortable for me or if I don't like the service, I'm gonna say it like.

I was polite the whole time.

I know I am a perfectionist.

Okay, I'm not gonna deny that, but there's no reason for somebody not to.

Speaker 6

Call me back.

Speaker 3

I was very friendly to you, Derek.

I didn't do anything wrong.

Speaker 4

No, you you you were, you were friendly to me.

Speaker 6

It's just that you know, you say you were polite to the stem and everything.

It's like, it's not what you say, it's how you say it sometimes.

And you were you were very short with people, generally speaking, anyone in your field division.

Speaker 4

That wasn't me.

I mean, you were, you were, you were nice enough with me, but.

Speaker 6

It was just very very much a turn off and nothing everything was It was a comment, a complaint the pumpkins.

Speaker 4

I mean, my god, pick a pumpkin.

Speaker 6

I truly, Oh my god, it was I don't know, it was just not my speed.

Speaker 3

I'm sorry.

Speaker 4

I'm sorry.

Speaker 3

I'm like, I'm so I can't even believe that this is happening right now.

I didn't even I didn't even like what you were wearing on the date.

I should have told you that.

Speaker 6

Oh, probably the only thing that she didn't make a comment about was my outfit.

Probably it would have been the only thing she didn't have a complaint about until now.

Speaker 4

There you go.

Speaker 1

Here's the deal, Ashley.

Speaker 2

You now you know, and I mean you may not agree with them, but Derek, basically I says that you were rude to the staff.

He should have saw the red flag.

Nothing was good enough.

All you do is complain, Ashley.

You think it's just your perfectionists.

You want what you want.

I got it.

Speaker 1

Hold on, don't forget the airborne pumpkin.

Speaker 5

Yeah, and you tossed and you through a pumpkin that poor Gord had to die for no reason.

Speaker 1

All right, well, listen, guys, it's okay.

Listen.

We got to the bottom of it.

Speaker 3

Now.

Speaker 1

At least you've got answers and you know what's going on.

So I listen.

I wish you guys the best out there, and.

Speaker 2

Keep us posted on on your dating journeys.

Speaker 4

Thank you, guys.

Speaker 6
