[SPEAKER_00]: Listen, I don't know as the months are moving to we're in the fourth quarter of the year.
[SPEAKER_00]: Days are getting cooler.
[SPEAKER_00]: I think they're getting are they getting longer or shorter?
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't tell.
[SPEAKER_00]: I know when I used to come back from the gym in the morning it was daylight, now we're still dark and so things are changing and I know your life is probably changing for the better.
[SPEAKER_00]: and so I hope that as things are changing as you are justing to cool it where there as you are justing to moving toward the holidays and that life is treating you fairly.
[SPEAKER_00]: And as you think about gifts.
[SPEAKER_00]: Right, don't forget, in the last year, we had an awesome, awesome time launching our Go Grow Glow Children's Book.
[SPEAKER_00]: In this year, Children's still need books for the holiday.
[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm encouraging you to join me or to go to my website at EugeneHamilton.org and click on Children's Book and make sure you do your honest part and get those young people something that they can read where they can grow, become resilient.
[SPEAKER_00]: and learn how to navigate things moving forward.
[SPEAKER_00]: Today's topic, I think you're going to like it because it's nothing better than being clear.
[SPEAKER_00]: But let's pray as we move forward.
[SPEAKER_00]: God, thank you for today.
[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you for this moment, this time that we are in conversation and dialogue.
[SPEAKER_00]: I pray that you would order our steps.
[SPEAKER_00]: It should give us something that we can chew on, it'll be good for our soul and good for our life.
[SPEAKER_00]: and your name, Amen.
[SPEAKER_00]: Check this out.
[SPEAKER_00]: We, we're talking a little bit today about, not only clarity, [SPEAKER_00]: So I'm going to double down, probably about four episodes ago, we talked about getting clear.
[SPEAKER_00]: And one of the ways that you get in get clear and I wasn't able to unpack this on that episode.
[SPEAKER_00]: So here we are today.
[SPEAKER_00]: One of the ways that you're able to gain clarity and to get clear, that's about life.
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, people that are really super deep and try to get you to get clear about certain things in this box.
[SPEAKER_00]: You're like, man, I'm just, I need to get clear about life.
[SPEAKER_00]: I need to get clear about where I'm headed.
[SPEAKER_00]: One of the things that has helped me gain clarity.
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, this right now, where you achieving clarity is my first order of business, but the one thing that you can do that has made a world of difference for me, [SPEAKER_00]: is understanding my intentions, the power of intentions.
[SPEAKER_00]: Have you ever questioned someone's intentions?
[SPEAKER_00]: I was watching a NBA analyst yesterday evening or NBA kicked off last week, and so it was last week, I should say, I was looking at an analyst attempt to, [SPEAKER_00]: Well, it looked like he was flirting with a co-analyst, right?
[SPEAKER_00]: There are people in the comments who are saying this couldn't be the case, because they both are in connection with somebody else.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's couldn't be the case.
[SPEAKER_00]: But, but be that as it may, one of the things that people, as they put a microscope or a magnifying glass on his comments, one of the things that kept coming up over and over again, is all we [SPEAKER_00]: Have you ever been misunderstood?
[SPEAKER_00]: Have you ever said something to somebody that took the wrong way or a certain way or a way that you didn't intend and they began to question, hmm, what did you mean by that?
[SPEAKER_00]: Check out your intentions.
[SPEAKER_00]: What did you, I was talking to a group of young people and one young man shared with me as I was talking to this group of about eight young men and one was telling me about or telling us together about one of his teachers and how he feels that she dislikes him.
[SPEAKER_00]: And so, of course, the rest of the kids were kind of dismissing because they know the teacher and they haven't had the same experience with that teacher.
[SPEAKER_00]: And so, he was, he said, no, no, no, you all need to hear me out.
[SPEAKER_00]: He began to give examples about some of the things that the teacher shared with him, some of the names that she had referred to him as, some of the tone that she had used.
[SPEAKER_00]: And one of the things that over and over again, I was reminded of the rest of the young man, I said, listen.
[SPEAKER_00]: while you may think that the things that he's mentioning right now are no big deal.
[SPEAKER_00]: One thing is true.
[SPEAKER_00]: We've got to question her intentions.
[SPEAKER_00]: Life is all about intentions.
[SPEAKER_00]: When you woke up this morning, when you grabbed that cup of coffee, when you ran to the gym, when you opened your Bible, when you got on your knees and offered your prayers, whatever it was that you did this morning, what was your [SPEAKER_00]: Intensive.
[SPEAKER_00]: I've been going to the gym pretty good as of late.
[SPEAKER_00]: Tomorrow, I've been on a good streak, right?
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, great streak.
[SPEAKER_00]: In fact, so a couple of weeks, I was working out twice a day, right?
[SPEAKER_00]: And a guy that gym noticed my intensity had picked up.
[SPEAKER_00]: Of course, I've been going through the gym for quite some time, right?
[SPEAKER_00]: It's not like this is new to me.
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, people know me by name at the gym, so don't come for me, right?
[SPEAKER_00]: People with a gym, they know my car when it pulls up, right?
[SPEAKER_00]: One of the things that this guy picked up, though, is we were sitting in the sauna, he said, man, you've really picked up your intensity.
[SPEAKER_00]: And I said, oh, yeah, I have, man, but here are my intentions, right?
[SPEAKER_00]: So with pick, there's a rhyme and a reason for what I am doing.
[SPEAKER_00]: The reason why, I mean, owe him this explanation, but I just let him know, I picked up my intensity because I've got goals.
[SPEAKER_00]: I've got to go away.
[SPEAKER_00]: I've got to go size.
[SPEAKER_00]: I've got some clothes that no longer fit that I said, man, I paid too much money for those clothes.
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna listen, this is here are my intentions.
[SPEAKER_00]: So should you think about closing the year strong?
[SPEAKER_00]: You should think about how October is just about done and we've got November and we've got December.
[SPEAKER_00]: I ran across, I forgot who it was when it's not original to me, but somebody had given a suggestion on their page as a way of motivating their audience and I'm going to share what they meant for their audience with my audience.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's a close 2025, the way that people are thinking to themselves they're going to open [SPEAKER_00]: In other words, all this energy that you want to harness and say for 2026, why don't you use it right now?
[SPEAKER_00]: All this, oh, I'm going to do X, Y and Z, must start a new diet.
[SPEAKER_00]: There's never, you know, we've gone through this.
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, next Monday I'll start this.
[SPEAKER_00]: Whatever it is and I have to be a diet or it could be a consistency with with with with a blogging with right whatever it is there's never going to be Take this out.
[SPEAKER_00]: This is for me and for you.
[SPEAKER_00]: There's never going to be a perfect Monday So what are your intentions With holding off until 2026 [SPEAKER_00]: You think all of a sudden that with the calendar rolling over, there's going to be some kind of magic wand waved in the air and you're going to get some different kind of, I don't know, energy, and you can be the same person.
[SPEAKER_00]: When I say you can be the same person, you still going to be you.
[SPEAKER_00]: So don't wait until then, the suggestion was, and I'm offering it to you, closed this year, the same way you plan to open next year, on fire, [SPEAKER_00]: Christo clear about where you're going, I got in the car not long ago, and I actually had no direction.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I, I don't, I'm not a lover of driving, but sometimes I do like to get lost.
[SPEAKER_00]: It sounds weird, it sounds strange, it sounds out of the way, it sounds wild, but sometimes when I go to a city that is new to me or the city may not be new to me, but maybe there's a part of town that I'm like, oh wow.
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't have any problem turning off onto an unfamiliar road.
[SPEAKER_00]: and finding my way out.
[SPEAKER_00]: In fact, I kind of get a kick out of it.
[SPEAKER_00]: I got to turn down county road 52, you know, I got to make sure that things are clear, right?
[SPEAKER_00]: And you know what I'm talking about.
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, um, but, but I'll turn down a random street.
[SPEAKER_00]: I look at homes.
[SPEAKER_00]: I look at land, whatever.
[SPEAKER_00]: And I'll make it my business to get lost for 30, 45 minutes.
[SPEAKER_00]: And then I find my way back to the main road.
[SPEAKER_00]: I'll get.
[SPEAKER_00]: I get joy out of that.
[SPEAKER_00]: And sometimes though, when we turn down the wrong road, it becomes difficult to find our way back because we don't have our intentions in the right order.
[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I want to encourage you, as you think about what's next, right?
[SPEAKER_00]: As you think about achieving clarity, the first point I shared with you today is that though best way to achieve clarity is to check your intentions, right?
[SPEAKER_00]: The check engine light might be on your life.
[SPEAKER_00]: Check your intentions.
[SPEAKER_00]: Check your motives.
[SPEAKER_00]: check, you know, oftentimes I run across people who want to be successful.
[SPEAKER_00]: Now, they don't know, I, they don't know where they want to be successful or what they're going to be successful.
[SPEAKER_00]: And they just know they want to be successful.
[SPEAKER_00]: So oftentimes, I have to ask them, what's the end goal of success for you?
[SPEAKER_00]: What do you define, how do you define success?
[SPEAKER_00]: Is it money, is it status, is it a certain title, at your job, is it marital status, is it own home ownership, is it a certain car you want to drive?
[SPEAKER_00]: What, how do you define success?
[SPEAKER_00]: And when you get it, what do you intentions?
[SPEAKER_00]: One of the things that's interesting is and if an individual was make, [SPEAKER_00]: And it's interesting because I'm trying to help change this narrative for a lot of young boys that look like me.
[SPEAKER_00]: Because I can go to any school USA, any corner USA, any YNCA USA, and talk to a group of boys that look like me and our axed them more often times than not, what are your goals?
[SPEAKER_00]: What are you going to be in 5, 10, 15 years?
[SPEAKER_00]: And you know what most of them say?
[SPEAKER_00]: guess.
[SPEAKER_00]: When I ask them what they want to be, they want to be basketball players, football players, and that's fine.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's awesome if God has given you the abilities to do those things and and and and move forward and more power to you.
[SPEAKER_00]: But one of the things I've [SPEAKER_00]: is individuals believe that when they make it to say it professional league that they've set for life.
[SPEAKER_00]: If your intentions are not pure, are not going in the right direction, if you don't have positive intentions around whatever your accolades might be, you could very well lose what you thought was going to set you free.
[SPEAKER_00]: You could very well think you have a tight grip on, whatever day as you call success.
[SPEAKER_00]: But if you haven't checked yourself before you wreck yourself, you could very well squander.
[SPEAKER_00]: So ask you to ask yourself, how do I define success?
[SPEAKER_00]: And what am I going to do with it when I get it?
[SPEAKER_00]: How do I, how do I define it?
[SPEAKER_00]: What is my definition of it?
[SPEAKER_00]: And once I attain, what's I achieve?
[SPEAKER_00]: Once I can actually put my finger on that success.
[SPEAKER_00]: What do you plans?
[SPEAKER_00]: Here we do this.
[SPEAKER_00]: I, I, I, I, I, I'm gonna pull you this way.
[SPEAKER_00]: And this is not gonna be a long episode today.
[SPEAKER_00]: And after you've placed your finger on the pulse of your intentions, because one of the things is interesting, and oftentimes I get a chance to work with companies, organizations with leaders, schools, I get just to do this training that almost forces the individuals [SPEAKER_00]: It almost forced us to, and I'm using that loosely, I don't force anybody to do anything, but based on how the training gets set up, it puts people in the position and in the mind frame or in the mind set that they have to become self-aware.
[SPEAKER_00]: It almost pushed them in, I don't want to say defense mode, but it puts them in a mode where they really have to evaluate and check themselves.
[SPEAKER_00]: Because at the end of the day, once I have a handle on me, on who I am.
[SPEAKER_00]: how I'm walking into a place.
[SPEAKER_00]: How I'm showing up.
[SPEAKER_00]: Once I become aware of all those things, I can then be true and honest with myself about my intentions.
[SPEAKER_00]: And when I'm true and I'm honest about my intentions, that leads to, hmm.
[SPEAKER_00]: that leads to me being clear on where I'm going, how I'm getting there, why I'm going there?
[SPEAKER_00]: Who can go with me?
[SPEAKER_00]: Who can't go with me?
[SPEAKER_00]: Have you ever seen somebody who has a posse and if those are what a posse is, a group of people around them that's with them, that they made themselves believe.
[SPEAKER_00]: that when I get success, I gotta take them with me.
[SPEAKER_00]: And those same people that they made that they brought with them, that they thought were long for the ride, took them back down the ladder of success.
[SPEAKER_00]: With you're not clear on, where you're going, who's supposed to go there with you?
[SPEAKER_00]: I promise you, you win for a rude awakening.
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sorry to be the bearer of the truth.
[SPEAKER_00]: Sorry, not sorry.
[SPEAKER_00]: So let's get clear.
[SPEAKER_00]: Before this year ends, don't wait until January to have your vision party.
[SPEAKER_00]: Those things are fine.
[SPEAKER_00]: I encourage them, but don't wait until January to pull out that vision board before this year ends.
[SPEAKER_00]: clear.
[SPEAKER_00]: Hope today, um, you hear a certain that's going to help you go growing low.
[SPEAKER_00]: I hope today, right?
[SPEAKER_00]: As you think about, um, achieving clarity and doing it through, uh, checking my intent as I hope that you thought about somebody that you can share this episode with thought about somebody who could benefit from this episode.
[SPEAKER_00]: I promise you as this platform continues to grow and we continue to serve.
[SPEAKER_00]: I promise you more and more people will receive the breakthroughs [SPEAKER_00]: and the answers to the questions that they have about life, but I need your help.
[SPEAKER_00]: So thank you again for liking, for subscribing, and also sharing as together.
[SPEAKER_00]: We continue to go, grow, and glow.
[SPEAKER_00]: Look forward to being with you next week.
[SPEAKER_00]: Don't forget in the meantime.
[SPEAKER_00]: And in between time, check out Eugene Hamilton.org.
