Speaker 1

Mike Manati, that's me.

Oh hi Dan record, that's me yo.

How's it going good?

The audio quality sounds weird.

It's because we're sitting in an Airbnb in Brentford, England.

Speaker 2

Which is apparently the middle of nowhere according to most of the locals here.

But we like it.

Speaker 3

I like it a lot.

Speaker 4

In fact, I just hit record on the boyemnoz app and it tagged it as the Globe, which is a bar a pub across the street.

So like as soon as we came in from the airport, we saw this place and we had to kill like two hours anyway before the B and B would let us in.

So we went to this place and had the most British ass like fish and chips and guinness.

Speaker 3

We both got probably the best fishing ships I've ever had.

Speaker 4

Me too.

Speaker 2

The Guinness just always hits is very you know, just you know, classic, exactly what you want from a pub.

Speaker 3

Plus like apparently.

Speaker 2

The football club here are the the Brentford be.

Speaker 3

Well, yes, it's amazing.

It is like the beginning of B week b down.

Speaker 4

Yeah, the whole town that we just passed the B superstore on the highway on the way back.

Yeah, the print for me to idiot, like the first time we see when we get here is come on you bees.

We're like what Like.

Speaker 2

We went to another pub that was also great.

It was called the Bee Hive.

Everything's be tam dear.

Speaker 3

It's really incredible.

Speaker 2

It doesn't help me not think that my life is a cartoon world this week, all of a sudden, I'm told you live in b week now Like, okay, in the place I happen to go to is all about be Yeah.

Speaker 4

At the wrestling event that we got to go to, that was the day after we left Games gone anyway and could just stop buying London and go to one of.

Speaker 3

The yeah sures.

Speaker 2

So yeah, we we were and games calm and cologne.

Everyone else went home.

Dan and I went straight to London.

Uh yeah with the Brenford like we said, and gosh, uh what a Whirlwe what a what a wild week?

Speaker 4

Dan ran into ran into some fans throughout the eye said hello, you got a couple bought us drinks at the public.

Speaker 5

I got a couple of Guinness.

Speaker 2

The Bee Hive.

Speaker 3

Thank you to them.

Yes, that was great.

Speaker 4

Definitely got some like why the hell are you in Brentford type stuff I like Bradford.

Speaker 2

The only the only time being a preferred was a problem was at the end of the wrestling show.

We wanted to get back because it was very hard to get an uber and there weren't really trains or buses that could get us here easily.

So that was the only time I was like, oh, it's kind of the middle of nowhere, but.

Speaker 4

Well, and you hear the underground like goes everywhere except for Brentford apparently, yeah.

Speaker 2

And even like if we want to get to a station kind of near here, it was going to be maybe a whole thing.

There's also a carnival in town or something that it was holding up traffic.

I don't know.

Speaker 4

I literally looked at the map and I pointed at a spot between the airport and Wimbley and I was like, that'll do.

Speaker 3

So we got home eventually.

It's fine.

Speaker 2

You know, it's you know, about midnight right now.

We're getting up pretty early after we record this, about five am.

Dan's flight is first, mine's a bit later, but we're gonna go to the airport anyways.

I'm I want to start playing Thank Goodness Year here while I'm in England because it started yet so that sounds very appropriate.

Speaker 3

So when you're.

Speaker 4

About to know, is you honestly play a little bit.

Speaker 2

Maybe it's already late.

I'll still be in London at the airport.

If I started the airport, that's good enough late.

Speaker 4

We were up till three am last night watching Newbs to hit film from twenty two.

Yeah, we'll have to talk about that more in the BombCast or something, because we got to bully Grub into watching it.

Speaker 3

If we have to talk about NEWBS.

Speaker 4

It's yeah.

Mike liked it a lot.

I was not as much of.

Speaker 2

A shut up.

Dan.

Speaker 3

Well, you were laughing a lot for a guy who think I sighed and started beating up the pillow a lot.

I don't recall laugh You didn't punch the film.

I wonder god it was do you remember what it was to maybe punch the pillow?

It was something sexist weird.

Speaker 4

I wouldn't expect that from NEWBS, like sexisten weird.

Speaker 2

I don't know.

Speaker 3

Christ Ae w All in.

Speaker 4

Twenty twenty four, we uh, you know, wrestling friends.

We saw Matthew last night.

Speaker 2

Matthew.

Speaker 3

It was delightful.

It was great to meet him.

Yeah, it was awesome.

We were hanging around uh, I didn't know a part of the time that was we were.

Speaker 2

Hanging out at But surprisingly we get out a map basically and I went there, went to a place.

It wasn't a barcade.

It was a bar that had like games, including many gone.

Speaker 3

They called it Crazier Crazier.

Speaker 2

It was pretty crazy, maybe too crazy to put in a place where people are drinking.

Like the first two holes require you to hit the ball with great speed and power so that it goes up these like ninety degree ables.

You you managed to hit the ball out of like the course area, you lost the ball, yeah, kind of flew away and not that it's a big deal, but I won, so that I had a good time.

Speaker 3

He was also the scorekeeper.

But think of that way you will.

Speaker 4

But yeah, so saw some friends, saw some fans.

Got to Wimbley today.

Wimbley was easy to get to.

We took an uber there.

Speaker 2

No game.

Yeah there was easy because it kind of like closed off all the streets near there, and there's like a whole complex of restaurants.

Speaker 3

Right by there, so Wimbley way.

Yeah, so that was nice.

Speaker 2

We stopped them in like some plub there too, just to get a drink before really going in there.

So yeah, like getting in and out of Wembley was like once you were there, probably because they closed so many blocks around it.

That wasn't bad at all.

It was just you know, Wembley's the place you hear about a law.

There's a lot of famous things that have happened there, So just like being in such a historic stadium itself was pretty neat.

Yeah.

Speaker 4

I literally only knew Freddy Mercury and the live Aid thing, but I had to assume that important things have happened at Wembley Stadium.

Speaker 3

Yeah, all sorts of things.

Speaker 2

Probably soccer, I think Tracy Chapman like debuting Fast Car.

Like at least that's where it kind of got popular, was once you played it there, I think, And there's all sorts of all sorts of big events have happened there.

Speaker 5

I think that's a Taylor switch.

Speaker 4

Was there the night before this and they're gonna be She's gonna be there tomorrow.

Speaker 2

Oh really, yeah, it was a Taylor Swift.

I'd see Taylor Swift.

Speaker 4

Wait, do you think Travis Kelsey came and went to All In because he's a big wrestling mark?

Speaker 2

Is that true?

Speaker 4

Oh?

Yeah, we've almost worked them several times.

Speaker 3

Yea, interesting, is he like a w think think.

Speaker 4

He might only heard him refer to the Okay, yeah, I could be wrong though.

Speaker 3

Interesting.

Speaker 4

So yeah, we got to Wimbley, got to our seats, had a minor ticket, miss half for a little bit, but Mike feared no, no, no, you're good.

It was there were a lot of people online that their tickets were scanning red and they couldn't get in.

So Mike he did some magic and it made it work and we got through, got some snacks, went to our seats.

Speaker 5

We were in the two hundred.

Speaker 4

Level that was like basically like the half court or half.

Speaker 2

Yeah, it was like we're dead center, which was nice.

Yeah, fifty yard line.

Yeah, but like kind of there's like three levels.

We were on like the second level.

So it was a great view, very easy to see the ring, great to see the entrance area.

It was it was kind of similar to the view we had in summer Summer was probably more right of the fifty yard line, and because in the way Summer Slim was set up, you couldn't see the entrance area very well, which is like the one thing maybe with the seats if I would complain, but I would never because I'm not a psychopath.

But this was a very very good view.

Speaker 4

Yeah, sow the stage to our left ring dead center had the screens and stuff, good stuff.

I guess I'm probably spoiled by a lot of recent WrestleMania stadiums because they will have the like massive screens like at the like Cowboys Stadium and stuff like that, like the newer.

Speaker 2

No, you're right, that was one thing they were like.

There weren't like there was some screens.

There's something i'd call some big jumbo tron, right, so you know, something like was in your peer view.

It was a little hard to maybe see what's happening, but not a big issue.

Speaker 5

Yeah.

Speaker 4

So we got there and then the show shirts.

We had our beer, we had our nachos.

Reminded us both of Gerald Ford and the Simpsons.

Speaker 3

Yeah, that's good.

We got our merge very quickly too, which Yeah, they had a good shirt.

Speaker 4

I was surprised they had like a solid shirt which is like the underground like London logo red shirt and nothing on the back like that's a Rustling shirts and.

Speaker 3

Natario's field shut.

Speaker 2

I needed any aw shirt animals to that, and you know, I wanted something to mark the events that that worked out well.

Speaker 4

Yeah, got the exact same one.

Sirens in the background is it the rough streets of Brentford here.

Speaker 3

I do not apologize, They're probably coming from me.

Speaker 4

We started with a sixteen man tag team match.

I'll be honest.

This was happening in the right.

There were a lot of dudes down there, and uh, I think we were just eating their nachos and couldn't quite tell what was going on.

Speaker 3

I think we were.

Speaker 2

Mostly just talking about how happy we were to be there, and you know, I saw we saw, you know, the Dark War, like, yeah, I go, you go down, and yeah.

Otherwise I was just I was still kind of basking and just being there at that time.

Speaker 3

Yeah, in front of the site, you know, you know, you know, yes, fantastic.

Speaker 4

Yeah, it looks like it was Kip Savian, Rocky Romeo rock there.

Speaker 2

I like Rocky Romeo for a lot.

For some reason.

I don't know why.

I got carry a torch for Rocky Rember really well, he was doing commentary on New Japan when I was watching it.

I liked him on commentary for some reason a lot.

Speaker 5

I don't know.

Speaker 4

I think Rocky who won, Oh it was okay, Tommy Billington, Kipsavian, Rocky Romeo, Kyle Fletcher, Leo Rush, Action and Ready and top Flight one.

Speaker 5

So Rocky one he did win.

Yes, that's correct.

Speaker 4

Apparently Anthony O Gogo was on the other team.

Speaker 5

Sure.

Speaker 3

Yeah, so that was the sixteen man tag about that.

Speaker 4

I had a fun little mixed tag with Willow Night Mingale and ishe against Chris stat Lander and Stokely Hathaway.

Stokely is always fun when he's in the stuff.

We're like, oh he went up against Kingston on the India Eddie Kingston and you know, just him just being just a little goober.

Speaker 2

There was a point where he I think he did like a spinebuster to that is eating no sold it.

Speaker 3

Yeah that was great.

Speaker 2

Yeah yeah, I mean I love I love will I love I love Ishi.

E kind of bit that new Japan thing when I had my new Japan Era.

So this was a fun, perfect pre show match.

Speaker 4

Yeah, baby faces when and we saw Kevin van Eric which is not someone I've expected to see in Wimbley Stadium in my life, right.

Yeah, so the von Erics and Dustin Rhodes I defeated on Disputed Kingdom in the Cage of Agony.

Speaker 5

That's a perfect a faction, all right, Yeah.

Speaker 2

Brian Cage with his there's a bunch of I think some Ring of Honor Jason stuff going on here.

Really yeah right, I'm not really look like Wolverine again.

Speaker 4

Oh yeah, Shabata and Sami Gabara we're also in that.

Yeah.

Speaker 5

Yeahvara and you guys been.

Speaker 4

On a run of some sorts in his entire career.

Uh yeah, I did not have much of a reaction at all.

That's by being on the baby Face team.

It looks like the Bonn Eric's and Sammy and Shabata and Dustin Won I don't to say about.

This is all very pre show stuff here, but then we got to the real deal thing I.

Speaker 2

Don't forget also during the pre show, is that right, second man?

Yeah?

Speaker 3

Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2

Kind of a weird place to do this big return, right.

Speaker 4

It was, especially since Hater's been gone for a long time and people love her, including me.

Speaker 3

She's awesome.

Speaker 2

She got a big pop when she came back, and it was good.

It was just a little weird that, like it was on the pre show for that big pop.

Speaker 4

Yeah, I have to imagine like several things that happened to night are probably setting things up for All Out since we are two weeks away from that, and like the one.

Speaker 3

Week that we had last year, that one week was rough.

Speaker 5

That was that was insane.

Speaker 4

But then like all Out, it was also coming after the like Punk blow up and all that stuff, and it kind of felt like everyone has something to prove.

Speaker 3

Yeah, and it was a good show, was very good.

Speaker 5

I think that was one that was Mox and Orange Cassidy in the main that.

Speaker 3

Was really good.

Oh right, I love Orange Cassady, Yes.

Speaker 5

Yes, or was Mox Monks.

Speaker 4

People are kind of wondering what the deal is within those days, I mean Renee, was there no sign of mocks uh.

Speaker 3

Yeah, taking it easy a little bit, yeah, you know, a little bruises up or whatever.

Speaker 4

Well, there was talking we need to take a vacation for a long time, and then like the punk stuff happened, he had to stick around and yeah, yeah, so hopefully he's doing all right.

Speaker 5

But yes.

Speaker 4

The first official match was the four way London Ladder match for the Trios Championship.

It was packing the Blackpool Combat Club versus the Patriarchy versus the Bang Bang Gang versus the House of Black and Pack and the Blackpool Combat Club one.

I thought there were some there were some good spots here, there were some fund stuff.

It wasn't as much the like super duper death defying ladder match.

It was more kind of like some some spots, some humor stuff going on, some Christian and lucas well.

Speaker 3

He was still kill switch.

Speaker 2

Yeah at this point maybe, Yeah, I think I told you before this batch even started, like there's sure have been a lot of the ladder matches last like five years, and they're always fun to watch, but you know, it's never the match of the night, whereas before it's like, well we get to see a ladder match that's obviously going to be the greatest thing on the card.

Speaker 4

Yeah, and if it happened, it was like, oh ship because like you know, it's you know, Sean and Razer happened.

If Rustling at ten and then they had another couple and then like TLC even then, like you know, with TLC.

Speaker 3

Was a huge deal.

He still we did a handful.

Speaker 4

Of those, like in the Hardy's and Dudley's and all that stuff.

Right, you break that glass from time to time.

But it's like Helen Selle that used to be a thing every couple of years, and then it became like a pay per for you, and there's like it is a saturation thing.

I mean obviously still fun exciting matches to.

Speaker 2

Watch exactly, and you know, like I'm gonna complain to people want to, you know, fall off the ladders, to go through tables.

Speaker 3

I want to be like, I'm not entertained enough.

Speaker 2

I was.

Speaker 3

It was, It was very fun.

I did enjoy it.

Speaker 2

But and then was what was the finish for the songs?

Speaker 3

I remember it was Pack.

Speaker 4

Oh yeah, because I remember Pack went up and there were three belts and he grabbed one of them.

Speaker 2

I was like, huh, I did know that.

I think that's how it usually goes.

You only need to even if it's too you only need one belt.

Speaker 4

I still remember though, like TLC at restumenat X seven and like Edgie Chrishner both up there together and they grabbed him.

But like I guess, I bet there are tons of examples of anyone.

Speaker 3

It could change it at any moment.

Speaker 2

I suppose.

Speaker 4

Yeah, we had I think one of the highlights of the night with Mariah May defeating timeless Tony storm Boy.

I think Mariah May, you know I always heard a lot of hype about her coming in and interestencing what they were doing early on with the Tony Storm story, and that has continued to be good.

But man, she really I think over delivered in this.

Speaker 3

Yeah, this was a very fun match.

Speaker 2

You know.

I've enjoyed the timeless Tony Storm gimmick and sometimes I'm like, maybe we need to move on.

Maybe we will.

But if this was like a good transition time, I think that makes sense because this was just it felt like a big match, right, I felt like something significant happened there, even though where I was being this here and doing all this shit stuff and cheating and still felt like this deserved win.

Speaker 3

Right, actual moment for her.

Speaker 2

Good usage of lu Thor in this one too good good finger from him on point we got to the corner we.

Speaker 4

Had we didn't really hear because we didn't have commentary, but like we assumed that was Tony Storm's parents in the crowd.

Speaker 2

Yeah there's something there's Yes, for some reason where I attacked some lady, I had to be a mother or yeah, something I could only assume at that point.

Speaker 4

She looks pretty young, but also like Tony is is like in her I don't want to say late twenties or something, so like, is that it?

Speaker 2

I want to say, Oh my gosh, that's funny.

Yeah, and she's been around for while, so she's right exactly.

You like to even like, you know, the kind of timeless movie stars thinking.

I won't say it ages you, but yeah, it's such a classic look that it makes you look okay, interesting.

Gosh, So she's not going anywhere, and she's fantastic.

She's so good and I mean you saw these how we else you just completely enveloped this one gimmick, this one character.

She's going to have such a long career.

Speaker 3

Oh definitely.

Speaker 4

Yeah.

I mean, both both ladies in this match I thought really killed it.

And Mariah especially like Tony was already you know, uh at top of the top, you know with the aw women, but Mariah I think really raised her stock quite a bit.

Speaker 2

I think, you know, it's like it's one of artist things.

It's actually like Bill News stars.

And I think they have done a very good job with that Mariah, you know, with the whole Noe Hart Cup thing and now did you know paying it off with the title one and in a storyline that made sense that she was involved with you know, there's a lot of pieces there that they can still play off of.

Yeah, like I forget a name, you know what, the crowdshots of her her girlfriend.

Speaker 5

Yeah yeah, I.

Speaker 2

Mean that's a mina.

So yeah, lots of this has been a good storyline.

There's lots of places for it to still go.

Speaker 4

Yeah, and the women's vision of aw area that they need to work on for a lot of the early years.

And I think we're starting to kind of get there.

Speaker 2

Yes, I think you're right.

You know, Jamie Hater coming back.

That just spices things up some more.

Speaker 4

Yep.

And yeah, how many people will work.

Speaker 3

With Baker this seems to get We'll get to that.

Speaker 5

Yeah.

Speaker 4

So next up, Hook versus Chris Jericho not a highlight.

Speaker 3

I would say, what are you talking about?

Speaker 2

I got to see Fozzy live.

Speaker 4

Well, Pozzy played Wimbley again.

Yeah, of course, christ Chericha brought out a bunch of like weird uh the snooker balls, yeah, I don't know, the Stucker balls or billiards or something.

Speaker 3

There was let's let's say pool balls were American big.

Speaker 2

It was like they kind of look I didn't want to say that, Yeah, they kind of looked like Bochi ball and mostly just kind of rolled all over the place.

So like I think at some point there was supposed to be a spot on them, but they managed to hit like everything but one of the botchy balls.

Speaker 4

Yeah, and then Hook starts like whipping them at Jericho and like, god damn, this is going to fly out into the crowd.

Speaker 3

Get nervous.

Speaker 2

They seem heavy.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, it was kind of a lot of nothing.

It was.

It was almost all worth it though for the Taz pop at the yeah doing television, a very good finish.

Speaker 4

Yeah, suit t going up.

Speaker 2

Yeah, yeah like it.

It was gonna be in a France like the like nope, nope, I got you, And yeah, I thought so that moment was cool.

Speaker 3

You know, hopefully the end of this storyline you would think.

Speaker 2

So.

Speaker 4

I just look, I don't need to be the eight hundred wrestling podcaster that talks about Chris Jericho and how kind of over it I am.

But I am definitely over it.

There have been times in recent years he has entertained me, but this current Learning Tree thing is not doing it for me.

Speaker 3

Is there anything he could do?

Speaker 2

Because I mean people were saying it's before the Learning Tree gimmick, So he did change a gimmick.

You think it's a matter of him finding something else that works more for you or you just kind of they.

Speaker 3

Need a break.

Speaker 4

I'm not going to as far as the on screen wrestling character Chris Jericho, he has surprised me many times by being able to reinvent and do interesting things.

So like, I'm not going to count him out and say that I'll never enjoy something Chris Jericho does on television again.

But I'm saying it's been a while since I've been happy about a Chris Jericho thing.

Speaker 5

You know.

Speaker 3

That's fair enough?

Fair enough?

Speaker 4

Yeah, Next up, we have a three way tag team match for the Tag Championship.

It was the Bucks in their beatles gear defeating FTR and the Acclaimed.

I think I am over the Acclaimed stuff.

I think they had their their moment.

I'm not really into that act anymore.

Speaker 2

Yeah, No, I think it had a It's had a very long run, right, I think it made a lot of money.

But yeah, like I'm almost surprised that we are like still there, even straight up with dadd yas even still being like a significant part of the equation.

Uh.

Yeah, I think you're right there.

I think in general, I was kind of surprised by how much of a kind of nothing burger this match was.

It was, it was fine, It had a real abrupt feeling finished.

Speaker 4

I thought it was kind of like an awkward at least from our angle, it looked like an AWKWARDO.

Was it a BT like something else?

And yeah, And I was like, oh, it's over.

Speaker 2

Yeah, I don't know.

And I love the Bucks.

I do, right, because like I was, you know, I was at the first all in before it was an aw thing.

I was watching BTE so like, you know, the Bucks were such a driving force of all of that, and so like you know, like to me, it's still like a big deal, but like, I don't know, it was like for the first time ever seeing them, I was almost I don want to say I was feeling nothing.

But there wasn't a lot of excitement there for me.

No.

Speaker 4

I I tend to feel positively about the books, but right now not as much because you know, they did the big angle with Tony and it was the act Flug was a big deal.

They brought out Tony's dad, Shad Cone, they had him go to the NFL draft in the Breeze and it's just like, okay, it sounds like they're trying to make a real big and it just went fucking nowhere.

Speaker 3

I think that's it.

Speaker 2

Like you said, the Acclaim doing the same thing forever, FDR doing the same thing forever.

This Bucks is like it's it's a newish incarnation of the Bucks.

Speaker 3

But it like I don't get it.

I guess it's kind of the thing there.

Speaker 2

So yeah, like you know, there's a bunch of people wrestling this match, and there's you know, stuff was confident enough, nothing crazy, and you know, we've had some very good Bucks and FDR matches and just kind of it makes sense to throw the Acclaimed in there to kind of mix it up a bit.

But it didn't really Yeah, I don't know, it just didn't.

It wasn't something terrible.

It was like no train wreck, but it just didn't stand out to me for all the talent involved in it.

Speaker 5

Agreed.

Agreed.

Speaker 4

Next Time was a pretty I thought, a really fun one until the end.

It was the Casino Gauntlet match for the future World Title match.

Speaker 5

Studied.

Speaker 4

Yeah, so we've got Orange Cassidy, we had Okata, Nigel McGinnis making a surprise return.

Speaker 5

Yeah, that's cleared.

Speaker 2

Wild seeing him come back.

I mean, first off, I was so excited because I love Okada, I love Orange Cassie.

The fact that like it was just basically a one on one match between those two in the beginning, like the end of that five was awesome.

Speaker 5

Yeah, this format is really cool.

Speaker 4

It's a really unique one and there is a lot of people laying around for extended periods.

But that's just you know, I'm fine with that.

If that means we get this format.

Speaker 2

That's what you're got to do.

But yeah, and like you know, it's funny with Nigel.

We kept watching ing like I means he like is he like really bad?

Is he gonna like like take a bump here?

Speaker 4

Like all of this stuff with like his offense, and like just the sequences and stuff he was doing were really cool, looking like he looks like he's clearly in great shape and moving very well.

But you know, it was like head injuries and stuff he was having, so like we were looking for bumps and like you went to the ground a couple times, there wasn't a lot of bumping.

So, like I do wonder if it was a like one off got clear to be you know, not a super physically intensive match in London, or if he's like trying to get clear to be an active competitor again.

Speaker 2

Well you know what was he always doing?

Or he is always talking Brian Danielson who just won the title, right, and it's like, well, is he that clear that he can have a one on one match with Brian Danson for the world title?

Like that's you know, that would be a tall order.

So you know it'd be awesome if he is that healthy.

But yeah, he You know, it was fun to see him and the crowd was very excited, obviously in London, so lots of Shanning.

I'm sure it was a big feel good moment for him for everyone else.

Speaker 4

I think that was a tremendous surprise.

There were a couple of frids the night.

We'll get to another one that I didn't see coming, but this is definitely one of them.

Kyler Riley was out there, Zack Siverard Junior Rhetorick Strong, Mark Briscoe, Hangman, Adam Page, Jeff Jarrett, the Voice to Constructs, Jeff Jarrett, my buddy, Jeff.

Yeah, Ricochet makes his debut.

He looks great out there, I feel like AW is gonna be a fun place for him to be.

There's a lot of cool dream matches you could do within there.

Speaker 2

Yeah, and like I don't think we were shocked to see him come there, but it still neat to see that moment.

And yeah, you're right, he just looked like he belonged there immediately came out, was doing his thing.

It all looked super Chris.

It all looked super good.

Speaker 3

Yeah, this is the perfect way to introduce him.

Speaker 4

He looked really hyped up to be out there.

He got the name obviously he had it before AW.

So yeah, all great stuff there.

And then the final entrant was kill Switch, but he came out as Lucasaurus, you know, big thing with the titan drawn with saurus entrance.

He comes out and like, oh, is he pissed that they didn't win the ladder match and now he's gonna attack Christian or something.

But like nothing really happened there, and then he helped Christian win.

Speaker 2

That was the ending, right, Yeah, the ending was just he put Christian on a stoder, like Christian got attacked or something, and then he the any pig Christian shoulders just kind of took.

Speaker 3

Him up to uh or no, what did he know?

Speaker 5

It wasn't match?

Speaker 4

Yeah, sorry, did a finish or something, and then like plopped Christian on top of it.

Speaker 2

That's right, he just plopped Christian on top of the dude.

Yeah, and it was very abrupt.

I remember.

Speaker 3

I think me and you both looked.

Speaker 2

At each other anymore, like what the fuck?

Because like, yeah, I mean I like Christian a lot, right, I've always been a big Christian fan.

But is that going to be Danson's first opponent at gonna be dancing versus Christian at all out?

I mean, is that the most exciting thing we can really do at the moment?

Speaker 4

Maybe you could do all out, like, you know, give him a win like Dana Bryant or sorry tomorrow's Yeah, give him a win in a couple of weeks.

Not that it doesn't need to be.

There's not enough time to build a major program.

Speaker 2

I don't know, but I feel like we've been going to the Christian as the kind of job or to the Star as well a lot for world title.

Speaker 4

Come back to Kenny Omega and yeah, I mean that was all out, Like twenty twenty one was Christian and Kenny in the main.

Speaker 2

No, Yeah, exactly.

So, yeah, we've been here.

You know, it's fine.

Christian he knows how to work.

It'll be fine.

Speaker 3

I just don't know if it's the most exciting pay per view match.

Speaker 2

In the world.

Speaker 5

Oh we do know.

Speaker 4

Tony Kahn is a big Christian Mark, so it does not surprise me.

Speaker 2

No, no, no again.

Speaker 3

I like Christian a lot too.

Speaker 5

Okay, hate Christian, It's fine, you don't respect that's right.

Speaker 2

That was the song I used.

It was backed down versus Row six.

All the time was Christian song.

The other one christ John No no if you close your.

Speaker 1

Movie.

Speaker 2

Yeah, when the girl sang it before we came back and it was a guy singing it, it was the girl doing it right.

Speaker 4

Uh that.

Speaker 5

I like the format a lot.

Speaker 3

Didn't love the ending, but I still enjoyed the match.

Speaker 4

Next up, either my Match the Night or tied for Match to the Night, Will Osprey defeats MJF.

Speaker 2

Yeah, I mean it was just so exciting to see Osprey.

He had a very elaborate assassins creed promo.

I was trying to figure out what the fuck was like he the narrator was.

The narrator was talking about London, which had its own Assassin's Creed game.

But but all the theming and like stuff was for the upcoming Japanese one.

But you have to.

Speaker 4

Imagine that like the way it goes to do we saw Tuesday like hey, yeah you can use this stuff or we come to an agreement.

But also we got to plug the new game.

Speaker 2

Here like Shadows.

Speaker 3

Yeah, well I was talking about London.

Speaker 2

I was like, you know, there wasn't.

Speaker 3

Game, and well, they're not trying to sell that right now.

No one talks about the syndicate.

It's a it's what a people talk about two like those newer RPG ones and the Pirate.

Speaker 2

Yeah, I'm over here, like I think Assassin's Cree three was good and people like, shut up, Mike.

Speaker 4

We did have a ninjas flipping down the ramp as Osprey came out.

Speaker 2

We we did have a lot of ninjas that was exciting.

But it's just fine because his entrance song is maybe the best in the business right now.

It's so catchy, there's so many points for people to interact with it, and it was yeah, it's just find going like wow, we oh spray a spray.

I mean he has just been so impressive lately, and yeah, just see him like in that giant home crowd arena, it was just you know, it was it was very electric.

Speaker 4

It's just you know, I've seen him do this stuff a million times on paper us and stuff, but like just watching him move in person and it's just the crispus, Like bodies should not be able to have that level of control.

Speaker 2

And it's funny because like, you know, he's more grounded than he used to be and it actually has just made.

Speaker 5

Him much better.

Speaker 4

Well yeah, and he is a much more well rounded character and promo and.

Speaker 3

He's just really surprisingly good promo.

Speaker 2

Yeah.

Speaker 5

Well he feels like a real person exactly.

Speaker 2

It's very authentic.

Speaker 5

Yeah.

Yeah, So this was tremendous.

MJF.

Speaker 4

You know, we kind of talked in the crowd about how it's like, you know, MJF is kind of a complicated guy to follow as a wrestling fan.

Speaker 2

He's he's shitting on purpose, and it's like sometimes I know, it's like a lot is a character and sometimes it doesn't seem to be and it's hard to tell.

So I'm always like I don't like MGF, and then whenever I'm watching MGF rest, I'm like, yeah, you know, it's he always has good match as he often over delivers, especially big time matches.

Speaker 4

Oh yeah, and then he'll do an hour plus with Brian Danielson and and hold his own against fucking Brian Danielson for an hour and work will Osprey like tonight.

Speaker 3

And his streamers were trying to take over the ship.

Speaker 5

That was crazy.

Speaker 4

Yeah, it got stuck with I mean it looked it came through on TV.

Speaker 2

It's a good thing that you the USA and the UK have the same colors.

Yeah, so it looks like it just kind of fit there.

Speaker 5

Yeah, told me.

Actually it was kind of a cool visual.

Speaker 3

But you were very excited when you realize he was doing a Creed esque entrance.

Speaker 4

Oh, he took it off pretty quick, but he did have the Apollo Creed Rocky four, the big had the.

Speaker 3

Big flat dropping was a good touch.

Speaker 2

Yeah.

Speaker 4

That's another thing though with him is like I know that was part of like renaming the title and winning that title and going against Osprey and stuff, but like the whole like super you know, nationalist, you know America guy gimmick is So it's just been done so much to the point of parody that, like m JF has always felt like a more comp more complicated than a good way character.

Speaker 3

You know, I think it's fine for this one.

Few like we better move on now, Yes, they heal see what he doesn't.

Speaker 5

I am just I am very curious.

Speaker 4

I told you, like, I feel like we had crystal Ball five ten years in the future.

I would be equally I would equally believe like, oh he became like one of the all time biggest stars ever or he kind of like imploded and burn bridges and made people ahead of them and now.

Speaker 5

He's just not right either way.

Speaker 2

Yeah, he said, God, this is just a very fun match to watch, a lot of very intense and interesting spots.

I'm glad Ausbury went over.

It went back to the International belt, which made sense.

Speaker 4

Right.

Everything looked good, all these big spots, all these risky spots, apron spots, springboard spots, you know, aerial.

Speaker 3

Stuff, reverse pins and all that stuff.

Speaker 5

It all looked awesome.

Speaker 3

It was good, just tremendous stuff.

Speaker 5

Next up.

Speaker 4

So after that we ran to the bathroom and to get a drink and some chicken tenders and so yeah, so we did miss the entrances and probably early minutes of Mercedes Monette.

Speaker 2

Lately caught her buggy carriage.

Speaker 5

Yeah, the carriage thing.

Speaker 2

We were standing on some stairs and then the lady said, you can't send those stairs.

I'm like, I'm so sorry.

My friend Dan got me in trouble.

Speaker 4

It's been a lot of us getting shushed and yelled at and committing pole.

Speaker 2

Doing better here.

We had, we had.

We had one glare at the third public went to that shouts to the six bells, a small glare at us at one point.

Speaker 3

At the six bells.

No, maybe it was no, you said at the bee hive.

Speaker 2

It wasn't that.

You said.

Speaker 5

I was being loud and I got a glare.

Speaker 2

That was maybe that he was just looking at us.

But I became self conscious.

I just wanted to shout out the six bells, six bells, the bee high the globe.

Those are our pubs.

Speaker 5

Yeah, we're Bridford boys.

Speaker 2

That's where the bees go, That's where they that's where they hive.

Speaker 4

That's true.

Speaker 3

We have to protect the hive, protect the bee.

Speaker 5

Yeah.

Speaker 4

So I don't know if it's like, you know, we we missed a couple of minutes from the beginning, and obviously you know you got a big gold honking thing of chicken tenders and beer and we're kind of focusing on you know, you gotta.

Speaker 3

Dip, you use the nets and very intense work.

Speaker 5

It is hard to work.

Speaker 4

So I don't know if I want to be negative on this match because we were distracted and missed a little bit.

Speaker 5

Or but like it felt like there was a lot of heat.

Speaker 2

It didn't seem like there was, and it's you know, these are I don't know.

These are two women who are who are big stars, and I don't know.

I don't want to make too much about the Britt Baker backstage drama thing, but it becomes a problem when, like the storyline, the one that we're not talking about in the air, is maybe more interesting than the one that's actually happening on the show.

Speaker 5

I mean, I don't know as far as that thing goes.

Speaker 4

I you know, I don't know exactly what happened back there, and I think most people talking about it don't know.

I think the more concerning thing is there are a lot more stories like that going on about Britt Baker and incidents with other people and hearing that people don't want to work with her, and.

Speaker 2

Here she isn't a big return.

This is like a big return thing and she didn't win, right.

Speaker 5

Yeah, so I really don't know what's going on there.

Speaker 4

Obviously she's an original at aw she does get good reactions from the crowd.

There is something there.

I just I think it's hard to predict where we go from here with britt right yeah.

Speaker 2

Yeah, Like you said, it's like, you know, I don't want to be like too rough on it, but I wasn't.

I wasn't feeling much.

There's like one part where there was a dueling CEO D M D chair.

It was like a sign of life for a moment.

Sure, otherwise I don't know.

Some yeah, they did their thing.

Speaker 4

Next up was I would actually call it that's my biggest disappointment of the night, which was Jack Perry defeating Darby Allen for the TT Championship in a coffin match.

Speaker 5

I don't know.

Speaker 4

You hear Derby and Jack Perry in in a gimmick match, and I think like, oh, they're going to go fucking nuts, and we got glass, we got a couple crazy, Darby dives nothing crazy.

Speaker 2

It is kind of like, you know, when are they going to get to the fireworks factory.

It's kind of what I was thinking.

A lot of the dimes.

Speaker 4

Well, and the closest they got I think was I mean again Darby, I mean described describe the spot and it sounds completely insane, but I think Darby as you almost expect crazier from him.

He got handcuffed and thrown off the ramp through a table, which is a crazy bump for sure, But like, I don't know it went.

Speaker 5

This only went like a little over ten.

Speaker 2

Minutes, right, and you know, may not everything needs to be that long, but you know, for a match where you're supposed to incapacitate a person long enough.

Speaker 3

That you can put him in a coffin.

Speaker 2

Yeah, yeah, I don't know.

I just like I kept thinking something crazier was going to happen at some point.

Speaker 4

Well, nothing crazy happened.

Well, I meant along Glass, you got to run off a ram.

Speaker 2

I don't if I was Darby on and I heard something be like thothing crazy happen after?

Yeah, I get it, I get it.

Speaker 4

But as far as like the moment was after the match, when the Bucks come out with a gasoline container, they act like they're going to murder a man and a coffin, which just incredible.

Speaker 3

Yeah they went through with them what then?

Speaker 4

Yeah, yeah, and right before they murder a man on pay per view, it stings Seeking Destroyer starts.

Speaker 3

Awesome.

Speaker 2

Moment was not something I expected to happen.

No, I did not think I was gonna see Sting tonight.

Speaker 4

Just hearing Seeking destroy blaring through Wimbley stadium with like lightning effects and Sting coming down with a baseball bat.

You know, just reckon shop again.

Uh, saving Derby.

Cool moment does not cheapen the retirement.

He's not wrestling.

It was just like a cool appearance.

He's looking I mean, he has the face fings, he looks like Sting.

You know, it's it was.

Speaker 2

It was really cool to see that, No exactly, It kind of like, yeah, helped helped any negativiious sweling about that match maybe not being all I was hoping for.

Like, Okay, Sting is here, that's cool, and Stinging Darby you're still buddy, that's nice stuff.

But yeah, I guess I'm still wondering, like where are we going with all this?

You know, this Jack Perry scapegoat stuff.

Speaker 4

Yeah, because he was part of that whole like New Elite or whatever with the Tony connotac and like, all right, what is that I don't really get where any of this is going or if it is dead already, you know, I don't know, I don't know.

Speaker 5

Yeah, and then we had the main event of the evening title versus Career.

Speaker 4

It was Brian Danielson defeating Swerve Strickland for the AW World Championship.

Speaker 5

This was tremendous.

Speaker 2

It was an amazing moment just you know, absolutely could tell I was watching a big important match.

I mean, we knew we were going to get the big final countdown intro, but still just like seeing that, having everybody going nuts for it, you know it, you know, being in this giant stadium for all those yes moments, you know he's actually seeing the ways of the fingers going up for yes.

Yes.

It was a very good combination of just that absolute pure technical proficiency that you're expecting from Danielson matches swar Swerve is also incredible.

But like with all these good storytelling moments, it's not like, you know, not so in your face, like we're like that's the only thing, Like not like Adam core MJF, like you know, the tests of their friendship match works like sure mostly a story or like this to the fuck with the Prices thing where it's mostly about that storyline.

Speaker 4

You're talking more about stuff like I assume like Swerve taking the knee and brushing it.

Speaker 2

Off right exactly everybody, even like the stuff with Dana Sen's family there, like that was done well right, and you know it was done just the right amount of that to be like this is important, like this family is there.

But it wasn't like this obvious distraction.

There was like a little sports entertaining going on there with the Hangman interference.

But that's fine because Hangman and Swerve have so much history.

Speaker 4

Oh and we didn't forget to mention in oscar Verus MJF.

You did have Daniversity coming back, right, which I'm sure that's setting up an all out.

Speaker 5

Match probably, but that you know, that makes it sense.

Speaker 4

But anyway, going back to this, yeah, there was the Hangman thing, but it wasn't enough interference to cheapen any outcome.

You know, he just kind of caused abstraction for a second.

You know, obviously it makes sense him and Swear of want to kill each other.

But I don't think it's cheapened the ending or anything like that.

Speaker 3

No, absolutely not.

Speaker 2

And you know, like dances started bleeding very early on, just kind of establishing sakes.

There's like a great moment where like one of its kids was just straight up crying.

Speaker 4

Yeah, yeah, you're beyond the mad moment.

Speaker 3

Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 2

Like apparently later like later on, when he was getting kicked by Swear, he was looking over the kids like blood at his face, gay kid, just going I love you.

Speaker 5

That's great.

Speaker 2

Sorry, we could have picked that up, but just hearing that, gosh, no, it's I think that was just a perfect main event, right, Like it just incredibly high stakes, one of the most beloved wrestlers of the modern era.

I mean, I don't know who does it.

Who dislikes Brian Danielson, Right, He's always been such a fun guy to cheer for.

Speaker 4

I feel like I don't really I feel like anyone who actually like they did it almost have to be a contrarian.

Speaker 2

You know.

Speaker 4

It's how do you deny how great he is?

Speaker 3

Right exactly?

Speaker 2

You know we still had of course, I have like a one spot where it's like, well maybe he really did like break his neck and everything.

Speaker 3

I'm like, I'm not falling for it.

Speaker 4

I kind of find it bunny when he will really ham it up with like the seizure cells and stuff, and then that well that's the thing is like everyone gets so mad on Twitter and stuff, and you know he's just loving it because he said, like I love lying, I love like he's a wrestler, he's a worker.

Speaker 5

He's like everyone getting like you know, he's getting the reaction he wants from that, you know.

Speaker 4

But yeah, it was.

Speaker 3

It was a really tremendous man.

Speaker 4

Swerve looked like it looks great he did, and I'm glad he had the run he did.

I was worried that it was going to be a little more uneventful.

I was worried that it was going to like pretty unceremoniously get tossed off to Osprey right away.

But they they're doing the slower burn with it, you know.

Speaker 2

Yeah, And you know, like I like I may have made the mistake and like would have quickly thrown at the Osprey.

Speaker 3

But I don't want to say like Swarve didn't deserve the bet when he went it.

He did.

But I do think that he has like he has grown and is a bigger Starve now they he was when he won it.

Speaker 2

Right, He's about to put in a ton of excellent work during this run.

It was a much better run than I would have predicted.

Speaker 5

Yeah, and he deserves it.

He is a tremendous talent.

Speaker 4

But yeah, you know, you got one of the all time bests in Danielson and now you know, not that he needed anything else on his resume to go down history as one of the best ever, but you know, he's been in aw for a while now, and you know it feels right for him to have a w World.

Speaker 2

It would be so weird if he had this long run there and never won the title.

And you know, it's great that we had this awesome, big moment with it.

It was so great, you know, the end of Black Wool Combat Club, coming out, bringing his family in.

There's the fireworks going off around the whole state, and that's just such a cool thing to be in there for that.

Everyone doing the yes yes is like, oh, this feels important, this feels good, you know, just absolutely euphoric.

Speaker 4

Yeah, it was.

Speaker 3

Yeah, it's you know, as you listen to this, you probably heard us.

Speaker 4

You know, we were kind of like this pointed by like one match.

Some didn't really strike tho, But ultimately I think as far as like great, great, matches.

I think the main event, I think m jf Osprey were the highlights for me.

And then just below that, I think the Casino Gauntlet and Tony Tony and Maria were very very good matches.

But the thing is that there's just nothing that was a stinker.

Speaker 2

You know, no again just like stuff that again, I think the way you put it, like dancing to have a lot of heat.

Yeah, right, Like I like maybe the Mercedes and Baker and the three way tag match.

It kind of felt in the Coffin match too, maybe under delivered, yeah, I would say, but we had some other really high highs so it's fine.

Speaker 4

Yeah.

Speaker 5

Overall, it felt like a very special show.

Speaker 4

I think this would have been a great show in any arena, but this being and Wimbley and being there in person, like the fact that we were both talking like can you believe we got to see this and say like that felt really cool.

It's a great venue for wrestling.

It seems like an older arena, but you know, he still gets the important stuff, right, Still, good.

Speaker 3

Natchos, Good night Jos.

Speaker 4

Yeah, the bathroom situation was real solid.

Speaker 5

We had troughs or the waterfall.

Speaker 2

Yeah, waterfall, troughs man, I felt very comfortable peeing in the waterfall troughs, fainness, very roomy seats too.

It was very I was more comfortable in this arena than I was at the First Energy in Cleveland, I'll say that.

Speaker 5

Yeah.

Speaker 4

Yeah, And overall, this is just a really great night.

Very very glad we're able to make this happen.

But yeah, that's it for me and Mitch in London, and uh, hey we get to go back to our homes for a few days.

Speaker 3

Now, a few days before off to Seattle.

Speaker 4

Yep.

Speaker 5

Yeah, so yeah, that's what's going on.

Speaker 3

I hope you all enjoyed the show, folks, and.

Speaker 4

Hopefully we got more fun wrestling coming up ahead.

There's Bash in Berlin.

Yall, Oh, out's come up in a couple of weeks.

Speaker 5

Shit, yeah it doesn't.

Speaker 2

Sou I don't know, keep on going.

Speaker 5

Yeah, well, Mitch, this has.

Speaker 4

Been a delight here in London, but it's time for us to get some sleep and get on those flights across the pond.

Speaker 2

Here.

Dun dum dun, dum dum dum, it's the final count down.

Do you do do?

Yes?

Good stuff?

Speaker 3

Uh, let's go to bed.

Speaker 5

Yeah, we'll do it.

Speaker 3

See you folks by my hm m hm h
